Abstract
AbstractThe review focuses on the synthesis and chemical properties of polyfluoroalkylated 2-ethoxymethylene-3-oxo esters. The scope and peculiarities of their use as organic reagents in reactions with various N-, C-, O-, mono- and dinucleophiles are discussed in detail. The high reactivity of such derivatives is employed in the construction of enaminoketone, arene and heterocycle frameworks. Particular attention is paid to applications of these building blocks as chemicals for fine organic synthesis, bioactive compounds and metal complexes synthesis.

Abstract
Inhibition of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) enzyme activity and prevention of advanced glycation end (AGE) products formation represents a reliable approach to achieve control over hyperglycemia and the associated pathogenesis of diabetic vascular complications. In the frames of this research study, several triazolo- and pyrazolotriazines were synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors of AGE products formation, DPP4, glycogen phosphorylase and α-glucosidase activities, as well as AGE cross-link breakers. From the two considered classes of heterocyclic compounds, the pyrazolotriazines showed the highest potency as antiglycating agents and DPP4 inhibitors. Structure-activity relationships (SAR) for these compounds, which can be considered as potential drugs for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, were evaluated.

Abstract
Metabolic disorders were evaluated in rats with alloxan diabetes mellitus after administration of 2-morpholino-5-phenyl-6H-1,3,4-thiadiazine (compound L-17). Administration of L-17 reduced the severity of metabolic disorders associated with diabetes mellitus. At the end of the experiment, the concentration of glucose, glycated hemoglobin, malonic dialdehyde, and catalase activity were significantly higher and peroxidase activity was significantly lower in the group of animals receiving L-17. The decrease of glycemia, glucose concentration, and glycated hemoglobin content was reached by the 3rd-4th week of the experiment. These data suggest that correction of biochemical parameters in rats with alloxan diabetes was reached after administration of L-17 for at least 3 weeks.

Abstract
A new ditopic ligand based on diethylenetriamine-N,N,N″,N″-tetraacetate (DTTA) and 5-phenyl-2,2′-bipyridine has been synthesized. The improved method for the synthesis of DTTA tert-butyl ester has been developed. The water-soluble Eu3+*DTTA complex of this ligand has been prepared, and its photophysical properties have been studied. Due to the presence of an extra chelating unit, 5-phenyl-2,2′-bipyridine, this Eu3+*DTTA complex demonstrated a strong fluorescence response to the Zn2+ cation (fluorescence enhancement) and the simultaneous fluorescent and phosphorescent response (fluorescence and phosphorescence quenching) to the Cu2+ or Ni2+ cations in aqueous solutions.

Abstract
Various 5-(fluoroaryl)-4-(hetero)aryl substituted pyrimidines have been synthesized based on the Suzuki cross-coupling and nucleophilic aromatic substitution of hydrogen (SN(H)) reactions starting from commercially available 5-bromopyrimidine and their antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv has been explored. The outcome of the study disclose that, some of the compounds have showed promising activity in micromolar concentration against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, Mycobacterium avium, Mycobacterium terrae, and multidrug-resistant strains isolated from tuberculosis patients in Ural region (Russia). The data concerning the 'structure-activity' relationship for fluorinated compounds have been discussed.
