Abstract
Desaturation of inert aliphatic C-H bonds in alkanes to form the corresponding alkenes is challenging. In this communication, a new and practical strategy for remote site-selective desaturation of amides via radical chemistry is reported. The readily installed N-allylsulfonylamide moiety serves as an N radical precursor. Intramolecular 1,5-hydrogen atom transfer from an inert C-H bond to the N-radical generates a translocated C-radical which is subsequently oxidized and deprotonated to give the corresponding alkene. The commercially available methanesulfonyl chloride is used as reagent and a Cu/Ag-couple as oxidant. The remote desaturation is realized on different types of unactivated sp3 -C-H bonds. The potential synthetic utility of this method is further demonstrated by the dehydrogenation of natural product derivatives and drugs.

Abstract
Despite allene derivatives have been always regarded as a radical accepter in traditional radical chemistry for decades, the reactivity of allene derivatives under excited state in radical chemistry was rarely explored. Herein, we wish to report an example to engage triplet-excited state of allene moiety as hydrogen-atom-transfer (HAT) partner in the activation of remote sp3 C-H bond via visible-light irradiation under mild reaction conditions with broad substrate scope and good functional-group tolerance. The reaction mechanism involving the generation of triplet excited state of allene derivative and the subsequent HAT process was supported by deuterium labeling, kinetic analysis experiments and DFT calculations.

Abstract
Remote difunctionalization of unactivated alkenes is challenging but a highly attractive tactic to install two functional groups across long distances. Reported herein is the first remote difunctionalization of alkenes with CO2 . This visible-light photoredox catalysis strategy provides a facile method to synthesize a series of carboxylic acids bearing valuable fluorine- or phosphorus-containing functional groups. Moreover, this versatile protocol shows mild reaction conditions, broad substrate scope, and good functional-group tolerance. Based on DFT calculations, a radical adds to an unactivated alkene to smoothly form a new carbon radical, followed by a 1,5-hydrogen atom-transfer process, the rate-limiting step, generating a more stable benzylic radical. The reduction of the benzylic radicals by an IrII species generates the corresponding benzylic carbanions as the key intermediates, which further undergo nucleophilic attack with CO2 to generate carboxylates.

Abstract
Heterogeneous visible-light photocatalysis represents an important route toward the development of sustainable organic synthesis. In this study visible light-induced, heavy metal-free atom-transfer radical addition to unactivated terminal olefins is carried out by using the combination of heterogeneous titanium dioxide as photocatalyst and a hypervalent iodine(III) reagent as co-initiator. The reaction can be applied to a range of substrates with good functional-group tolerance under very mild conditions. In addition to a number of commonly used atom-transfer reagents, the relatively challenging chloroform is also suitable.

Abstract
In the presence of trifluoromethylsulfonium reagents, boronate complexes derived from 2-lithio furan and non-racemic secondary and tertiary alkyl or aryl boronic esters undergo deborylative three-component coupling to give the corresponding 2,5-disubstituted furans with excellent levels of enantiospecificity. The process proceeds via the reaction of boronate complexes with a trifluoromethyl radical, which triggers 1,2-metallate rearrangement upon single-electron oxidation. Alternative electrophiles can also be used in place of trifluoromethylsulfonium reagents to effect similar three-component coupling reactions.
