Abstract
A novel, efficient, and practical route to dibenzoxazepinones has been developed through a one-pot heterogeneous palladium-catalyzed aminocarbonylation/aromatic nucleophilic substitution (SNAr) sequence starting from readily available 2-iodofluorobenzenes and 2-aminophenols. The carbonylative cyclization reaction proceeds smoothly in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) at 120 °C with 1,8-diazabicyclo(5.4.0)undec-7-ene (DBU) as the base by using a polyamidoamine (PAMAM)-dendronized SBA-15-supported bidentate phosphine-palladium complex [G(1)-2P-Pd(OAc)2-SBA-15] as the catalyst under 10 bar of CO, yielding a wide variety of dibenzo[b,e][1,4]oxazepin-11(5H)-one derivatives in good to excellent yields. Moreover, this new heterogenized dendritic palladium catalyst has competitive advantages in that it can be facilely recovered by simple filtration in air and recycled more than eight times without any significant loss of activity. The broad substrate scope, high functional group tolerance, and excellent palladium catalyst recyclability of the reaction make this approach a general, efficient, and economical method for the construction of valuable dibenzoxazepinone derivatives.

Abstract
A facile synthesis of 4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-4-one derivatives by Pd-catalyzed carbonylative cross-coupling between N-(ortho-bromoaryl)amides and benzene-1,3,5-triyl triformate (TFBen) was developed. This procedure does not require the toxic and flammable gas CO as the carbonyl source and tolerates a wide scope of functional groups. Remarkably, 4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-4-ones incorporated to natural products and drugs can be constructed by this method.

Abstract
A highly efficient, green palladium-catalyzed cyclocarbonylation of 2-iodoanilines with acyl chlorides has been developed that proceeds smoothly in a biomass-derived solvent 2-methyltetrahydrofuran with N,N-diisopropylethylamine as base at 100 °C under 20 bar of carbon monoxide using an 2-aminoethylamino-modified MCM-41-anchored palladium acetate complex [2N-MCM-41-Pd(OAc)2] as a heterogeneous catalyst, yielding a wide variety of 2-substituted 4H-3,1-benzoxazin-4-one derivatives in good to excellent yields. This supported palladium catalyst could be facilely obtained by a two-step procedure from easily available starting materials and readily recovered via a simple filtration process and recycled at least 8 times without any apparent decrease in catalytic efficiency. The developed methodology not only avoids the use of toxic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran and dimethylformamide but also solves the basic problem of expensive palladium catalyst recovery and reuse and prevents effectively palladium contamination of the desired product.

Abstract
Phosphines are widely used ligands in transition metal-catalyzed reactions.
Arylphosphines, such as triphenylphosphine, were among the first phosphines to show
broad utility in catalysis. Beginning in the late 1990s, sterically demanding and electronrich
trialkylphosphines began to receive attention as supporting ligands. These ligands
were found to be particularly effective at promoting oxidative addition in cross-coupling
of aryl halides. With electron-rich, sterically demanding ligands, such as tri-tertbutylphosphine,
coupling of aryl bromides could be achieved at room temperature. More
importantly, the less reactive, but more broadly available, aryl chlorides became accessible
substrates. Tri-tert-butylphosphine has become a privileged ligand that has found application
in a wide range of late transition-metal catalyzed coupling reactions. This success
has led to the use of numerous monodentate trialkylphosphines in cross-coupling reactions. This review
will discuss the general properties and features of monodentate trialkylphosphines and their application in
cross-coupling reactions of C–X and C–H bonds.

Abstract
Isocyanides have emerged as valuable C1 building blocks in palladium catalysis. Their potential has, however, mainly been exploited for the synthesis of amidines and amidine-containing heterocycles. To illustrate the broader applicability of isocyanides, we have recently developed a novel oxidative coupling of diamines and isocyanides furnishing valuable guanidine-containing heterocycles. We here report the extension of this protocol to the coupling of anthranilic acids and isocyanides leading to medicinally relevant 2-aminobenzoxazinones. This is a particularly challenging substrate class for this reaction due to the possibility of undesired decarboxylative pathways and the susceptibility of the products to nucleophilic attack. Therefore, this work underlines the generality and broad potential of the oxidative coupling of bisnucleophiles and isocyanides, facilitating the further implementation of this chemistry in library design.
