Abstract
Manipulating thermal conductivity (κ) plays vital role in high-performance thermoelectric conversion, thermal insulation and thermal management devices. In this work, we using the machine learning-based interatomic potential and the phonon Boltzmann transport equation to systematically investigate layer thickness dependentκof fluorinated graphene (FG). We show that the latticeκof FG can be significantly decreased with Bernal bilayer stacking. Surprisingly, the further increasing of stacking layer can no longer affect theκ, however, theκis increased in the bulk configuration. The variation ofκcan be attributed to the crystal symmetry change from P-3m1 (164) at single layer to P3m1 (156) at multilayer. The decreasing crystal symmetry from single layer to bilayer resulting stronger phonon scattering and thus leading a lowerκ. Moreover, we also show that the contribution of acoustic mode toκdecreases with the increase of layers, while the contribution of optical mode toκis increased with increasing layers. These results provide a further understanding for the phonon scattering mechanism of layer thickness dependentκ.

Abstract
Single C-F transformations of aromatic trifluoromethyl compounds are challenging issues due to the strong C-F bond. We have recently developed selective methods for single C-F transformations such as allylation of o-hydrosilyl-substituted benzotrifluorides through the hydride abstraction with trityl cations. Single C-F thiolation and azidation of o-(hydrosilyl)benzotrifluorides were achieved using trityl sulfides and trityl azide catalyzed by Yb(OTf)3 . Treatment of o-(hydrosilyl)benzotrifluorides with trityl chloride resulted in single C-F chlorination. The resulting fluorosilyl group served in further transformations including protonation, halogenation, and Hiyama cross-coupling with C-Si cleavage. We also synthesized benzyl fluorides by LiAlH4 -reduction of the resulting fluorosilanes and further C-F transformations. These methods enabled us to prepare a broad range of organofluorines from simple benzotrifluorides through C-F and C-Si transformations.

Abstract
Alkenes and their derivatives are featured widely in a variety of natural products, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials. Significant efforts have been made toward the development of new and practical methods to access this important class of compounds by selectively activating the alkenyl C(sp2)-H bonds in recent years. In this comprehensive review, we describe the state-of-the-art strategies for the direct functionalization of alkenyl sp2 C-H and C-F bonds until June 2022. Moreover, metal-free, photoredox, and electrochemical strategies are also covered. For clarity, this review has been divided into two parts; the first part focuses on currently available alkenyl sp2 C-H functionalization methods using different alkene derivatives as the starting materials, and the second part describes the alkenyl sp2 C-F bond functionalization using easily accessible gem-difluoroalkenes as the starting material. This review includes the scope, limitations, mechanistic studies, stereoselective control (using directing groups as well as metal-migration strategies), and their applications to complex molecule synthesis where appropriate. Overall, this comprehensive review aims to document the considerable advancements, current status, and emerging work by critically summarizing the contributions of researchers working in this fascinating area and is expected to stimulate novel, innovative, and broadly applicable strategies for alkenyl sp2 C-H and C-F bond functionalizations in the coming years.

Abstract
The electron-rich Pt complex [Pt(IMes)2 ] (IMes: [1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-imidazolinylidine]) can be used as precursor for the syntheses of a variety of fluorido ligand containing compounds. The sulfur fluoride SF4 undergoes a rapid oxidative addition at Pt0 to yield trans-[Pt(F)(SF3 )(IMes)2 ]. A photolytic reaction of SF6 at [Pt(IMes)2 ] in the presence of IMes gave the fluorido complexes trans-[Pt(F)2 (IMes)2 ] and trans-[Pt(F)(SF3 )(IMes)2 ] along with trans-[Pt(F)(SOF)(IMes)2 ] and trans-[Pt(F)(IMes')(IMes)] (IMes': cyclometalated IMes ligand), the latter being products produced by reaction with adventitious water. trans-[Pt(F)(SOF)(IMes)2 ] and trans-[Pt(F)2 (IMes)2 ] were synthesized independently by treatment of [Pt(IMes)2 ] with SOF2 or XeF2 . A reaction of [Pt(IMes)2 ] with a HF source gave trans-[Pt(H)(F)(IMes)2 ], and an intermediate bifluorido complex trans-[Pt(H)(FHF)(IMes)2 ] was identified. Compound trans-[Pt(H)(F)(IMes)2 ] converts in the presence of CsF into trans-[Pt(F)(IMes')(IMes)].

Abstract
The reaction of the rhodium(i) complexes [Rh(E)(PEt3)3] (E = GePh3 (1), Si(OEt)3 (5)) with HFO-1234yf (2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene) afforded [Rh(F)(PEt3)3] (2) and the functionalized olefins Z-CF3CH[double bond, length as m-dash]CH(E) (E = GePh3 (4a), Si(OEt)3 (7)). Conceivable reaction pathways were assessed using DFT calculations. Reactions of [Rh(E)(PEt3)3] with HFO-1234ze (E-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene) yielded the rhodium fluorido complex 2 and [Rh{(E)-CH[double bond, length as m-dash]CH(CF3)}(PEt3)3] (9) via two different reaction pathways. Using complexes 1 and 5 as catalysts, functionalized building blocks were obtained.

Abstract
A mild and practical cobalt-catalyzed defluoroborylation of fluoroarenes is presented for the first time. The method permits straightforward functionalization of fluoroarenes, with high selectivity for borylation of C-F over C-H bonds, and a tolerance for aerobic conditions. Furthermore, two-step 18F-fluorination was achieved for expanding the scope of 18F-positron emission tomography probes.

Abstract
The manuscript reports the synthesis, characterization, and analysis of electronic structure in a series of complexes of small perfluorocarbon ligands with the (PNP)Rh fragment (where PNP is a diarylamido/bis(phosphine) pincer ligand). Reactions of (PNP)Rh(TBE) as the source of (PNP)Rh with CHF3 and C2HF5 produced perfluoroalkylidene complexes (PNP)Rh[double bond, length as m-dash]CF2 and (PNP)Rh[double bond, length as m-dash]C(F)(CF3). (PNP)Rh[double bond, length as m-dash]CF2 could also be obtained via the reaction of (PNP)Rh(TBE) with Me3SiCF3/CsF, with an admixture of (PNP)Rh(C2F4), where TBE = tert-butylethylene. Abstraction of fluoride from these neutral (PNP)RhC x F y complexes was successful, although only abstraction from (PNP)Rh[double bond, length as m-dash]CF2 allowed unambiguous identification of the Rh product, [(PNP)Rh[triple bond, length as m-dash]CF]+. DFT computational studies allowed comparison of relative energies of (PNP)Rh(C2F4) and [(PNP)Rh(C2F3)]+ isomers as well as comparisons between the electronic structure of the [double bond, length as m-dash]CF2, C2F4, and [triple bond, length as m-dash]CF+ complexes and their hydrocarbon analogues.

The rhodium(i) germyl complex [Rh(GePh3)(PEt3)3] is a useful tool for C–F and C–H bond activation reactions. For instance, treatment with hexafluoropropene results in the formation of two isomeric C–F activation products [Rh{(E)-CFCF(CF3)}(PEt3)3] and [Rh{(Z)-CFCF(CF3)}(PEt3)3] in a 3 : 1 ratio.

Abstract
Treatment of L2Ni(CF2)44a-c (L = PPh3, PPh2Me, pyridine) with an external Lewis acid (trimethylsilyl triflate) gives new L-functionalized fluoronickelacyclopentanes 5a-c. Complexes L2Ni(CF2)44a,b react with the thiol form of the bidentate ligand 1,2,4-(HS)(Ph2P)Me(C6H3) [P,SH] through a unique Brønsted acid-promoted Cα-F bond activation mechanism, affording phosphine-functionalized nickelacycles bearing a phosphinothiolate ligand 6a-b. Furthermore, substituting monodentate ligands in L2Ni(CF2)44a-c with the deprotonated form of the bidentate ligand [P,S(-)] leads to the first anionic perfluoronickelacycle 7. The anionic metallacyle reacts with phosphonium salts [PHPh3](Br) and [PHPh2Me](Br) to yield HF and phosphine-functionalized nickelacycles 6a,b that still contain the terminal thiolate moiety.

Abstract
C-F activation of 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoropyridine at [Rh{Si(OEt)3}(PEt3)3] (1) yields [Rh{2-(3,5,6-C5F3HN)}(PEt3)3] (2) and FSi(OEt)3, but in an unprecedented consecutive reaction FSi(OEt)3 acts as a fluoride source to give [Rh(4-C5F4N)(PEt3)3] (4) by regeneration of the C-F bond and C-H activation. Analogous refluorination steps were observed for other 2-pyridyl rhodium complexes. NMR spectroscopic studies revealed a delicate balance between the feasibility for C-F bond formation accompanied by a C-H activation and the occurrence of competing reactions such as hydrodefluorinations induced by the intermediary presence of H2.
