Abstract
In this study, we present the development of two catalytic processes: a Pd-PEPPSI-catalyzed aminocarbonylation and a Pd(OAc)2-Xantphos-catalyzed alkoxycarbonylation of d-glycals, utilizing carbonylative cross-coupling reactions. We explored successfully various types of aromatic amines, as well as alkyl amines and amino acids, to synthesize new d-glycal amides. However, we observed limitations in the reactivity of alkyl and heteroaromatic amines. The processes enabled the synthesis of 20 novel C1-branched glycoamides and 7 new d-gluco esters.

Abstract
Buchwald-Hartwig amination reaction catalyzed by palladium plays an important role in drug synthesis. In the last few years, machine learning-assisted strategies emerged and quickly gained attention. In this article, an importance and relevance-based integrated feature screening method is proposed to effectively filter high-dimensional feature descriptor data. Then, a regularized machine learning boosting tree model, eXtreme Gradient Boosting, is introduced to intelligently predict reaction performance in multidimensional chemistry space. Furthermore, convergence, interpretability, generalization, and the internal association between reaction conditions and yields are excavated, which provides intelligent assistance for the optimal design of coupling reaction system and evaluating the reaction conditions. Compared with recently published results, the proposed method requires fewer feature descriptors, takes less time, and achieves more accurate prediction accuracy.

Abstract
Catalytic carbonyl formation ranks as one of the most important synthetic methodologies. Herein, a highly effective palladium-catalyzed and alcohol-promoted transformation of nitriles to synthesize benzocyclic ketones is described. It provides a straightforward access to potentially valuable indanone compounds in high yields in the presence of alcohol. It avoided the usage of carbon monoxide or an additional hydrolysis procedure.

Abstract
As an efficient heterogenous N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalyst, MOF-Zn-NHC was used in the aerobic oxidation of aryl aldehydes to their corresponding carbocyclic acids via an anomeric based oxidation. Features such as mild reaction conditions and no need for a co-catalyst or oxidative reagent can be considered as the major advantages of the presented method in this study. As an efficient heterogenous N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalyst, MOF-Zn-NHC was used in the aerobic oxidation of aryl aldehydes to their corresponding carbocyclic acids via an anomeric based oxidation.![]()
