Finite-Time Synchronization Analysis for BAM Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delays by Applying the Maximum-Value Approach with New Inequalities

In this paper, we consider the finite-time synchronization for drive-response BAM neural networks with time-varying delays. Instead of using the finite-time stability theorem and integral inequality method, by using the maximum-value method, two new criteria are obtained to ensure the finite-time synchronization for the considered drive-response systems. The inequalities in our paper, applied to obtaining the maximum-valued and designing the novel controllers, are different from those in existing papers.

Synchronization in Finite-Time Analysis of Clifford-Valued Neural Networks with Finite-Time Distributed Delays

In this paper, we explore the finite-time synchronization of Clifford-valued neural networks with finite-time distributed delays. To address the problem associated with non-commutativity pertaining to the multiplication of Clifford numbers, the original n-dimensional Clifford-valued drive and response systems are firstly decomposed into the corresponding 2m-dimensional real-valued counterparts. On the basis of a new Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, suitable controller and new computational techniques, finite-time synchronization criteria are formulated for the corresponding real-valued drive and response systems. The feasibility of the main results is verified by a numerical example.

Stochastic Memristive Quaternion-Valued Neural Networks with Time Delays: An Analysis on Mean Square Exponential Input-to-State Stability

In this paper, we study the mean-square exponential input-to-state stability (exp-ISS) problem for a new class of neural network (NN) models, i.e., continuous-time stochastic memristive quaternion-valued neural networks (SMQVNNs) with time delays. Firstly, in order to overcome the difficulties posed by non-commutative quaternion multiplication, we decompose the original SMQVNNs into four real-valued models. Secondly, by constructing suitable Lyapunov functional and applying It o ^ ’s formula, Dynkin’s formula as well as inequity techniques, we prove that the considered system model is mean-square exp-ISS. In comparison with the conventional research on stability, we derive a new mean-square exp-ISS criterion for SMQVNNs. The results obtained in this paper are the general case of previously known results in complex and real fields. Finally, a numerical example has been provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.

Robust Stability of Complex-Valued Stochastic Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delays and Parameter Uncertainties

In practical applications, stochastic effects are normally viewed as the major sources that lead to the system’s unwilling behaviours when modelling real neural systems. As such, the research on network models with stochastic effects is significant. In view of this, in this paper, we analyse the issue of robust stability for a class of uncertain complex-valued stochastic neural networks (UCVSNNs) with time-varying delays. Based on the real-imaginary separate-type activation function, the original UCVSNN model is analysed using an equivalent representation consisting of two real-valued neural networks. By constructing the proper Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and applying Jensen’s inequality, a number of sufficient conditions can be derived by utilizing It o ^ ’s formula, the homeomorphism principle, the linear matrix inequality, and other analytic techniques. As a result, new sufficient conditions to ensure robust, globally asymptotic stability in the mean square for the considered UCVSNN models are derived. Numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the merit of the obtained results.

A Delay-Dividing Approach to Robust Stability of Uncertain Stochastic Complex-Valued Hopfield Delayed Neural Networks

In scientific disciplines and other engineering applications, most of the systems refer to uncertainties, because when modeling physical systems the uncertain parameters are unavoidable. In view of this, it is important to investigate dynamical systems with uncertain parameters. In the present study, a delay-dividing approach is devised to study the robust stability issue of uncertain neural networks. Specifically, the uncertain stochastic complex-valued Hopfield neural network (USCVHNN) with time delay is investigated. Here, the uncertainties of the system parameters are norm-bounded. Based on the Lyapunov mathematical approach and homeomorphism principle, the sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of USCVHNN are derived. To perform this derivation, we divide a complex-valued neural network (CVNN) into two parts, namely real and imaginary, using the delay-dividing approach. All the criteria are expressed by exploiting the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Based on two examples, we obtain good theoretical results that ascertain the usefulness of the proposed delay-dividing approach for the USCVHNN model.

Robust Dissipativity Analysis of Hopfield-Type Complex-Valued Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delays and Linear Fractional Uncertainties

We study the robust dissipativity issue with respect to the Hopfield-type of complex-valued neural network (HTCVNN) models incorporated with time-varying delays and linear fractional uncertainties. To avoid the computational issues in the complex domain, we divide the original complex-valued system into two real-valued systems. We devise an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) equipped with general integral terms to facilitate the analysis. By exploiting the multiple integral inequality method, the sufficient conditions for the dissipativity of HTCVNN models are obtained via the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The MATLAB software package is used to solve the LMIs effectively. We devise a number of numerical models and their empirical results positively ascertain the obtained results.

Global Mittag–Leffler Stability and Stabilization Analysis of Fractional-Order Quaternion-Valued Memristive Neural Networks

This paper studies the global Mittag–Leffler stability and stabilization analysis of fractional-order quaternion-valued memristive neural networks (FOQVMNNs). The state feedback stabilizing control law is designed in order to stabilize the considered problem. Based on the non-commutativity of quaternion multiplication, the original fractional-order quaternion-valued systems is divided into four fractional-order real-valued systems. By using the method of Lyapunov fractional-order derivative, fractional-order differential inclusions, set-valued maps, several global Mittag–Leffler stability and stabilization conditions of considered FOQVMNNs are established. Two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the usefulness of our analytical results.
