Abstract
1,5-Diaminotetrazole is one of the most prominent high-nitrogen tetrazole compounds described in the literature. Interestingly the isomer 2,5-diaminotetrazole is nearly undescribed due to its challenging synthetic routes. 2,5-Diaminotetrazol (1) was successfully synthesized via amination of 5-aminotetrazole followed by various purification steps to separate it from isomeric 1,5-diaminotetrazole. In addition to the extensive characterization of 2,5-DAT further derivates by protonation, methylation and amination of the tetrazole ring were synthesized and characterized. The resulting tri-functionalized, ionic tetrazolium derivatives were combined with energetic anions (nitrate, perchlorate, azide, 5,5'-bistetrazole-1,1'-diolate (BTO2-)) to adjust and tune the properties of each compound. All compounds were intensively characterized including IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, thermal analysis through DTA, X-ray diffraction and sensitivity testing. The purity was verified by CHNO elemental analysis and the energetic properties were calculated using the EXPLO5 code and the calculated enthalpy of formation (CBS-4M).

Abstract
1-(tert-Butyl)-1H-tetrazole (L) reacts with copper(ii) tetrafluoroborate hexahydrate to give the complexes [Cu2L8(H2O)2](BF4)4 (1) or [Cu3L6(H2O)6](BF4)6 (2) depending on the reaction conditions. These complexes, as well as compound L, were characterized using single crystal X-ray analysis. Complex 1 was found to comprise a dinuclear complex cation [Cu2L8(H2O)2](4+) (the Ci symmetry point group), with six tetrazole ligands L showing monodentate N(4)-coordination, and two ligands L providing two tetrazole ring N(3),N(4) bridges between the copper(ii) cations; water molecules complete the distorted octahedral coordination of the metal ions. Complex 2 includes a linear trinuclear complex cation [Cu3L6(H2O)6](6+) (the S6 symmetry point group), in which neighbouring copper(ii) cations are linked by three ligands L via tetrazole ring N(3),N(4) bridges; central and terminal metal ions show octahedral CuN6 and CuN3O3 coordination cores, respectively. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements of complex 2 revealed that the copper(ii) ions were weakly ferromagnetically coupled showing a coupling constant J of 2.2 cm(-1) {H = -2J(S1S2 + S2S3)}. The quantum-chemical investigation of the electronic structure and basicity of ligand L was carried out.

Abstract
The tautomerization pathways and kinetics of 1,5-diaminotetrazole (DAT) have been investigated by means of second-order Møller-Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) and coupled-cluster theory, with single and double excitations including perturbative corrections for triple excitations (CCSD(T)). Five possible tautomers, namely 4-hydro-1-amino-5-imino-tetrazole (a), 2,5-diamino-tetrazole (b), 1,5-diamino-tetrazole (c), 2-hydro-1-imino-5-amino-tetrazole (d), and 2,4-dihydro-1,5-diimino-tetrazole (e) were identified. The structures of the reactants, transition states, and products along with the tautomerism pathways were optimized by the MP2 method using the 6-311G** basis set, and the energies were refined using CCSD(T)/6-311G**. The minimum-energy path (MEP) information for DAT was obtained at the CCSD(T)/6-311G**//MP2/6-311G** level of theory. Therein, reaction 2 (c → b) is an amino-shift reaction, while reaction 1 (c → a), reaction 3 (c → d), reaction 4 (a → e), and reaction 5 (d → e) are reactions of hydrogen-shift tautomerization. The calculated results show that 2,5-diaminotetrazole (b) with the minimum energy (taking c as a standard) among five tautomers, is the energetically preferred tautomer of DAT in the gas phase. In addition, the energy barrier of reaction 2 is 71.65 kcal · mol(-1) in the gas phase, while reaction 1 takes place more easily with an activation barrier of 61.53 kcal · mol(-1) also as compared to 63.71 kcal · mol(-1) in reaction 3. Moreover, the tautomerization of reaction 4 requires the largest energy barrier of 83.29 kcal · mol(-1), which is obviously bigger than reaction 5 with a value of 73.78 kcal · mol(-1). Thus, the hydrogen-shift of c to a is the easiest transformation, while the tautomerization of a to e is the hardest one. Again, the rate constants of tautomerization have been obtained by TST, TST/Eckart, CVT, CVT/SCT, and CVT/ZCT methods in the range 200-2500 K, and analysis indicated that variational effects are small over the whole temperature range, while tunneling effects are significant in the lower temperature range.

Abstract
A novel environmentally friendly octahedrally coordinated 2D polymeric complexes bis(1,5-diaminotetrazole) -dichlorozinc(II) (Zn(DAT)2Cl2) was first designed based on the the crystal data of bis(1,5-diaminotetrazole)- dichlorocopper(II) (Cu(DAT)2Cl2). Density functional theory (DFT) was used to predict the optimized geometries at TPSSTPSS/6-311G(d, p) level. Densities and detonation properties were evaluated using the electron cloud enclosed volume and VLW equation of state (VLW EOS), respectively. Calculation results show that the density of Zn(DAT)2Cl2 (2.117 g · cm(-1)) is a bit more than that of Cu(DAT)2Cl2 (2.106 g · cm(-1)). The calculated high positive heat of formation (HOF) predicts that the stabilities of the title compounds decrease in the order Zn(DAT)2Cl2 > Cu(DAT)2Cl2, which agrees with the result of bond dissociation energies (BDE). Even though they have the same molecule structures, their first scission steps are different. Furthermore, the title two compounds show good detonation velocities and pressures compared with that of bis-(5-nitro-2H-tetrazolato-N (2)) tetraamminecobalt(III) perchlorates (BNCP), and they are potential candidates for high-energy-density materials (HEDM).

Abstract
Abstract
The crystal structure of the coordination compound [PdCl2(CH4N6)2], trans-dichloridobis(1,5-diamino-1H-tetrazole-κN4)palladium(II), has been determined from X-ray powder diffraction data collected at room temperature. The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined using Rietveld analysis. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, with Z=2. The unit cell dimensions are a=5.73491(4), b=11.94450(4), c=8.61685(4)Å, and β=99.6367(6)° with cell volume V=581.930(5)Å3. A slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry is formed around the Pd atom by two Cl atoms and two tetrazole ring N atoms of two 1,5-diamino-1H-tetrazole ligands, which are in a trans configuration. In the complex molecule, the planes of the tetrazole rings are inclined at 53.7(3)° with respect to the coordination plane. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the amino groups N—H···Cl and N—H···Nring are responsible for formation of a three-dimensional supramolecular network. The powder pattern of the compound was strongly affected by the anisotropic line broadening. The width of the Bragg peaks was interpreted by a phenomenological microstructural approach in terms of anisotropic strain effect to complete the Rietveld refinement.

The molecular unit of Mn(2)(DAT)(2)Cl(4)(H(2)O)(4) has a distorted octahedral structure, containing two central manganese cations, which coordinated by a mono-dentate terminal chloride, a bulky DAT ligand and two water molecules, and linked by two bidentate bridging chloride ligands. There are two main exothermic peaks and one endothermic peak in the thermal decomposition process, investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), the final residue of the title compound at 600 degrees C is MnO. The kinetic parameters of the endothermic process and two main exothermic processes were studied by applying the Kissinger's and Ozawa-Doyle's methods.

Abstract
An energetic coordination compound [Cd(DAT)(6)](ClO(4))(2) has been synthesized by using 1,5-diaminotetrazole (DAT) as ligand and its structure has been characterized by applying X-ray single crystal diffraction, elemental analysis and FT-IR spectroscopy. The central cadmium(II) cation is coordinated by six N atoms from six DAT molecules to form a six-coordinated and distorted octahedral structure. Di-dimension layer structure was formed and the layers were linked together by the extensive intermolecular hydrogen bonds between DAT ligands and ClO(4)(-) anions. Thermal decomposition mechanism of the title compound was predicted based on DSC, TG-DTG and FT-IR analyses results. The kinetic parameters of the first exothermic process of the title compound were studied by applying the Kissinger's and Ozawa-Doyle's methods. Sensitivity tests reveal that the title compound has sensitive nature.
