Abstract
When calculating electric field gradients (EFGs), relativistic and electron correlation effects are crucial for obtaining accurate results, and the commonly used density functional methods produce unsatisfactory results, especially for heavy elements and/or strongly correlated systems. In this work, a stand-alone program is presented, which enables calculation of EFGs from the molecular orbitals supplied by an external high accuracy quantum chemical calculation and includes relativistic effects through the exact two-component (X2C) formalism and efficient local approximations to it. Application to BiN and BiP molecules shows that a high precision can be achieved in the calculation of nuclear quadrupole coupling constants of 209Bi by combining advanced ab initio methods with the X2C approach. For seventeen iron compounds, the Mössbauer nuclear quadrupole splittings (NQS) of 57Fe calculated using a double-hybrid functional method are in very good agreement with the experimental values. It is shown that, for strongly correlated molecules, the double-hybrid functionals are much more accurate than the commonly used hybrid functionals. The computer program developed in this study furnishes a useful utility for obtaining EFGs and related nuclear properties with high accuracy.

Abstract
10-VE A≡A' Diatomics, such as N≡N, C≡O, etc., have a strong σ2π4 triple bond plus a lone pair at each end. In our studies on 14-VE A≡B systems, such as C≡Pt, we find a similar bonding system plus a (5dδ)4 ring. Here, the A atom belongs to groups 13-17 and the B atom to groups 7-11. Also the BB' combinations, triatomics, such as PtCO or DsCO or uranyl, and longer chains, such as AuCN and [NC-Au-CN]-, are discussed. The δ ring directly contributes to nuclear quadrupole coupling constants, and DFT calculations using the BH and H or mPW1K functionals reproduce the experimental trends of the NQCC.

Abstract
An independent value of -422(3) millibarn (mb) is obtained for the nuclear quadrupole moment Q(209Bi) using experimental coupling constants for diatomic BiN, BiP, BiF, BiCl, and BiI, combined with full-Dirac CCSD-T calculations of the electric field gradient q. This value lies close to two other recently published molecular results, and a full-triplet CCSDT atomic result. Based on the same approach, we obtained Q(121Sb) = -541.7(0.8) mb and Q(123Sb) = -690.6( 1.0) mb, in agreement with one recently published molecular result.

Abstract
A formulation of analytic energy first derivatives for the coupled-cluster singles and doubles augmented with noniterative triples [CCSD(T)] method with spin-orbit coupling included at the orbital level and an implementation for evaluation of first-order properties are reported. The standard density-matrix formulation for analytic CC gradient theory adapted to complex algebra has been used. The orbital-relaxation contributions from frozen core, occupied, virtual, and frozen virtual orbitals to analytic spin-orbit CCSD(T) gradients are fully taken into account and treated efficiently, which is of importance to calculations of heavy elements. Benchmark calculations of first-order properties including dipole moments and electric-field gradients using the corresponding exact two-component property integrals are presented for heavy-element containing molecules to demonstrate the applicability and usefulness of the present analytic scheme.

Abstract
A system of additive covalent radii is proposed for sigma(2) pi(4) triple bonds involving elements from Be to E 112 (eka-mercury). Borderline cases with weak multiple bonding are included. Only the elements in Group 1, the elements Zn-Hg in Group 12 and Ne in Group 18 are then totally excluded. Gaps are left at late actinides and some lanthanides. The standard deviation for the 324 included data points is 3.2 pm.

Abstract
The pure rotational spectra of two isotopic species of LuF and three of LuCl have been measured in the frequency range 5-17 GHz using a cavity pulsed jet Fourier transform microwave spectrometer. The samples were prepared by laser ablation of Lu metal in the presence of SF(6) or Cl(2), and stabilized in supersonic jets of Ar. Spectra of molecules in states having v= 0, 1, and 2 have been measured, to produce rotational constants and centrifugal distortion constants, along with hyperfine constants for all the nuclei. Dunham-type fits for LuCl produced a Born-Oppenheimer breakdown parameter for Cl. Although a theoretical calculation showed that Lu in LuCl should have a significant field shift effect parameter, it could not be determined from the spectrum. Equilibrium internuclear distances, r(e), and dissociation energies have been evaluated for both molecules. The nuclear quadrupole coupling constants are discussed in terms of the molecular electronic structure.

Abstract
The pure rotational spectra of seven isotopic species of platinum monoxide have been measured with a cavity pulsed jet Fourier-transform microwave spectrometer. The molecules were prepared by laser ablation of Pt foil in the presence of O2 and stabilized in a supersonic jet of argon. A multi-isotopomer Dunham-type analysis of the spectra produced values for Y01 and Y11, along with unusually large values for Born-Oppenheimer breakdown (BOB) parameters for both Pt and O atoms. The values of the BOB parameters have been rationalized in terms of the molecular electronic structure and finite nuclear size (field shift) effects. A large negative 195Pt effective nuclear spin-rotation constant has been rationalized in terms of the electron-nucleus dipole-dipole hyperfine constant. Precise internuclear separations have been evaluated.

Abstract
Platinum monosulfide PtS has been prepared in its X0(+) ground electronic state by laser ablation of Pt in the presence of H(2)S. The rotational spectra of eight isotopic species have been measured with a cavity pulsed jet Fourier-transform microwave spectrometer. Spectral analysis using a multi-isotopomer Dunham-type expression produced values for Y(01), Y(02), Y(11), and Y(21), along with large values for Born-Oppenheimer breakdown (BOB) parameters for both atoms of the molecule. The BOB parameters are rationalized in terms of the molecular electronic structure and nuclear field shift effects. A large negative (195)Pt nuclear spin-rotation constant has been rationalized in terms of the electron-nucleus dipole-dipole hyperfine constant. The equilibrium bond length in the Born-Oppenheimer approximation has been evaluated.
