Abstract
The article divulges the crystal growth, synthesis, and X-ray structure characterization of one centrosymmetric cadmium complex, [Cd{CdL(μ2-1,3-acetate)}2] using Salen ligand (SL). The complex is further characterized using spectroscopic and analytical techniques, including DRS, SEM-EDX, PXRD, and ICP-MS. The crystallographic study showed that the complex has a monoclinic space P21/c. Addison parameters (Ʈ) show the hexagonal geometry of the central Cd(II) metal ion. Hirshfeld surface and 2-D fingerprint confirm supramolecular contacts despite weak C-H⋯O and C-H···π interactions. Energy frameworks, FMOs, global reactivity parameters, MEP, and energy bandgap explain the complex reactivity outlook. The complex inter- and intramolecular bonding interactions were explored through natural bond orbital (NBO), QTAIM, NCI-RDG, Electron Location Function (ELF), and Localized Orbital Locator (LOL) quantization methods. In addition, the complex and its synthetic components in vitro antibacterial efficacy were investigated using Gram-positive and Gram-negative microbial strains. SAR (structure-activity relationship) correlates with biological potency. Molecular docking assessed antimicrobial potency with proteins S. aureus (PDB ID: 1JIJ), C. albicans (PDB ID: 1M7A), E. coli (PDB ID: 1T9U), P. aeruginosa (PDB ID: 2UV0), and A. Niger (PDB ID: 3K4P). The findings are backed by the Protein-Ligand Interaction Profiler (PLIP). The antifungal potency and cell viability test of C. albicans were conducted using photodynamic therapy (APDT).

Abstract
Water pollution have become contentious among researchers. By increasing industrialization, the availability of clean water has been reduced. Industrial dyestuffs contribute to the escalation of environmental pollution and are the largest group of organic compounds. The aim of the present work is the synthesis of nanostructures that accelerate the removal of organic dyes from water. To reach this aim, first, ZnMn2O4 nanostructures were synthesized by hydrothermal and co-precipitation methods using maleic acid and phenylalanine as a capping agent. Second, the nanostructures were characterized. XRD analysis revealed the formation of ZnMn2O4 with diameters about 32.3 nm. SEM analysis showed the formation of the agglomerated spherical ZnMn2O4 nanostructures with diameters lower than 50 nm. EDX analysis confirmed the purity of the prepared samples with the presence of Zn, Mn, and O. FT-IR analysis confirmed the bonding between Mn and O at about 620 cm-1. ZnMn2O4 nanostructures showed antiferromagnetic behaviors due to the super-exchange interactions between manganese ions. Finally, the photocatalytic behavior of the nanostructures was investigated for degradation of the anionic and cationic dyes. The results of the photocatalytic tests of two as-prepared samples via different methods were similar. The results exhibit a promising photocatalytic activity in the presence of 0.03 g photocatalyst for degradation of a dye solution with 10 ppm concentration. We introduced these conditions as optimum conditions and achieved maximum decolorization (92.43 %) in the 10 ppm of MV solution after 90 min. Also, we repeated six consecutive reaction cycles and observed a little activity loss after six reactions. We related this result to the high stability of the photocatalyst. We performed scavenging experiments to evaluate the active species involved in the photocatalytic process and plausible mechanisms. The photocatalytic degradation of MV decreased in the presence of TBA and BQ, respectively. This decrease indicated that OH° and O2°- radicals are important active species in the MV degradation process.

Abstract
Cobalt oxide nanostructures are gaining popularity in the scientific community because they are reasonably priced, easy to develop, and have unique properties that make them valuable for coating, corrosion inhibitors, supercapacitors, photocatalysis, and other applications. In this review, the most well-known and effective synthetic methods are mentioned along with their particle size. A description of the main experimental methods used to describe the nanoparticles is also provided. In addition, the green production of cobalt oxide nanoparticles using plant extract is summarized. In particular with regard, we mentioned the use of cobalt oxide nanoparticles in the construction of nanocomposites coatings and future prospective approaches.

Abstract
BACKGROUND While keeping in view various aspects of energy demand, quest for the renewable energy sources is utmost. Biomass has shown great potential as green energy source with supply of approximately 14% of world total energy demand, and great source of carbon capture. It is abundant in various forms including agricultural, forestry residues, and unwanted plants (weeds). The rapid growth of weeds not only affects the yield of the crop, but also has strong consequences on the environment. These weeds can grow with minimum nutrient input requirements, have strong ability to grow at various soil and climate environments with high value of cellulose, thus can be valuable source of energy production. RESULTS Parthenium hysterophorus L. and Cannabis sativa L. have been employed for the production of biofuels (biogas, biodiesel and biochar) through nano-catalytic gasification by employing Co and Ni as nanocatalysts. Nanocatalysts were synthesized through well-established sol-gel method. SEM study confirms the spherical morphology of the nanocatalysts with size distribution of 20-50 nm. XRD measurements reveal that fabricated nanocatalysts have pure standard crystal structure without impurity. During gasification of Cannabis sativa L., we have extracted the 53.33% of oil, 34.66% of biochar and 12% gas whereas in the case of Parthenium hysterophorus L. 44% oil, 38.36% biochar and 17.66% of gas was measured. Electrical conductivity in biochar of Cannabis sativa L. and Parthenium hysterophorus L. was observed 0.4 dSm-1 and 0.39 dSm-1, respectively. CONCLUSION Present study presents the conversion of unwanted plants Parthenium hysterophorus L. and Cannabis sativa L. weeds to biofuels. Nanocatalysts help to enhance the conversion of biomass to biofuel due to large surface reactivity. Our findings suggest potential utilization of unwanted plants for biofuel production, which can help to share the burden of energy demand. Biochar produced during gasification can replace chemical fertilizers for soil remediation and to enhance the crop productivity.
