Abstract
Our aim was to develop communication support material for information sharing related to an 18F-FDG PET/CT examination. Methods: The study had a qualitative design adapting a multiphase structure. A prototype of communication support material consisting of illustrations and text related to an 18F-FDG PET/CT examination was developed. Interviews were conducted with patients scheduled for an 18F-FDG PET/CT examination for the first time, and questionnaires were collected from health care professionals with experience in 18F-FDG PET/CT. The communication support material was revised until consensus was reached about it. Results: The results are based on interviews with patients (n = 10) and questionnaires collected from health care professionals (n = 9). The overall theme revealed that patient information about an 18F-FDG PET/CT examination is a balancing act between text and illustrations. The analysis showed 2 categories: "illustrations as a complement" and "easy-to-understand layout." Conclusion: The participants strengthened the development of the communication support material by bringing in valuable viewpoints from various perspectives. The results support a person-centered approach in which information about an 18F-FDG PET/CT examination can be adapted to each patient's needs as a balancing act between text and illustrations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Detection of bone marrow involvement (BMI) in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) typically relies on invasive bone marrow biopsy (BMB) that faces procedure limitations, while 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging offers a noninvasive alternative. The present study assesses the performance of 18F-FDG PET/CT in DLBCL BMI detection, its agreement with BMB, and the impact of BMI on survival outcomes. PATIENTS AND METHODS This retrospective study analyzes baseline 18F-FDG PET/CT and BMB findings in145 stage II-IV DLBCL patients, evaluating both performance of the two diagnostic procedures and the impact of BMI on survival. RESULTS DLBCL BMI was detected in 38 patients (26.2%) using PET/CT and in 18 patients (12.4%) using BMB. Concordant results were seen in 79.3% of patients, with 20.7% showing discordant results. Combining PET/CT and BMB data, we identified 29.7% of patients with BMI. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and accuracy of PET/CT for detecting DLBCL BMI were 88.4%, 100%, 100%, 95.3%, and 96.5%, respectively, while BMB showed lower sensitivity (41.9%) and NPV (46.8%). The median overall survival (OS) was not reached in any gender subgroup, with 5-year OS rates of 82% (total), 84% (female), and 80% (male) (p = 0.461), while different International Prognostic Index (IPI) groups exhibited varied 5-year OS rates: 94% for low risk (LR), 91% for low-intermediate risk (LIR), 84% for high-intermediate risk (HIR), and 65% for high risk (HR) (p = 0.0027). Bone marrow involvement did not impact OS significantly (p = 0.979). CONCLUSIONS 18F-FDG PET/CT demonstrated superior diagnostic accuracy compared to BMB. While other studies reported poorer overall and BMI 5-year OS in DLBCL, our findings demonstrated favourable survival data.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Musical intervention (MI) is a valuable strategy for addressing the psychological and emotional challenges faced by patients undergoing imaging procedures. This study explores MI's impact on psychophysiological outcomes during imaging procedures, detailing the sound repertoire and technical characteristics employed in MI. METHODS A systematic review (SR) and meta-analysis (MA) were conducted. Electronic database searches of PubMed, Web-of-Science, and Scopus were performed encompassing original randomised research and quasi-experimental articles published until June 2023. RESULTS Thirteen articles were included in this SR, scoring between 23 and 68 on the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Checklist. Four articles were included to perform a MA concerning anxiety and heart rate (HR) outcomes. Most studies utilised digital playlists as the medium for MI. Headphones were commonly used, with an average volume of 50-60 dB and a musical frequency of 60-80 beats/min. While authors generally preferred selecting musical genres for the repertoire, two articles specifically chose Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D major" as their musical theme. In terms of psychological parameters, the experimental groups exhibited lower anxiety values than the control groups, with further reductions after MI. However, MA shows that this trend is only marginally significant. Patient comfort and overall examination experience showed improvement with MI. Regarding physiological parameters, HR, especially in the final phase of the examination, was significantly lower in the experimental group compared to the control group. CONCLUSION Across multiple studies, MI demonstrated the ability to reduce anxiety and HR. However, no specific music repertoire emerged as the most effective. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE MI arises as a painless, reliable, low-cost, and side-effect-free strategy, presenting imaging departments with a practical means to enhance patient comfort and mitigate anxiety and stress during medical procedures.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This study investigated whether a 360° virtual counselling environment (360°VCE) was more effective at decreasing patients' anxiety than routine standard of care counselling for patients undergoing coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), and if there was any difference in the process times for both of these groups. METHODS A total of 86 patients underwent CCTA in this randomised controlled trial. Patients were randomly assigned to intervention and control groups. The 360°VCE was developed using spherical panoramic images and non-immersive 360° technology. The primary outcome, anxiety, was measured using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). The secondary outcome, CCTA process time, was measured from the time of arrival in the department until end of examination. RESULTS Pre-scan anxiety was lower among patients in the 360°VCE group immediately before CCTA in comparison to patients in the control group (p = 0.015). Women demonstrated higher levels of anxiety than men in both groups. No between-group differences were discerned in CCTA process time. CONCLUSION Access to 360°VCE can reduce patients' pre-CCTA anxiety levels. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE The presented results can be used to improve patient counselling and care, reduce anxiety among patients undergoing CCTA, and optimise the CCTA examination procedure.

Abstract
Patients’ anxiety and unfamiliarity are barriers to undergoing diagnostic procedures. Studies found educational videos more effective than other forms of information. Educational videos minimise anxiety and improve patient satisfaction. Educational videos enable medical procedures best practices.
Although diagnostic procedures are crucial for secondary prevention and patient disease control, they often trigger fear and anxiety. These reactions highlight the need to adopt effective interventions to improve patients’ experience and satisfaction. Recently, educational videos have been employed in preparing diagnostic procedures; however, there is no integrated understanding of their effects. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the effectiveness of educational videos on patients’ anxiety and satisfaction regarding preparation for diagnostic procedures. Three scientific databases (PubMed; Web of Science, Scopus), were used in this systematic review. Studies about educational videos as a form of preparation for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures published between 2000 and 2021 were included. A meta-analysis was also conducted. Sixteen studies met the inclusion criteria for systematic review, and seven were included in the meta-analysis. Nine studies of the total sample were about vascular procedures and seven studies about other medical image procedures. Of the fourteen studies that evaluated the use of educational videos on patients’ anxiety, nine proved to reduce it significantly. Of the thirteen studies that evaluated satisfaction, seven showed a significant increase in the experimental group. Studies included in the meta-analysis show that educational video patient groups had lower anxiety levels than the control groups after the procedure. Although future studies are required, the results suggest that educational videos effectively prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, improving care quality.
