Abstract
Metal-free, catalytic enantioselective intermolecular oxyamination of alkenes is realized by use of organoiodine(I/III) chemistry. The protocol is applicable toward aryl- and alkyl-substituted alkenes with high enantioselectivity and electronically controlled regioselectivity. The oxyaminated products can be easily deprotected in one step to reveal free amino alcohols in high yields without loss of enantioselectivity. A key to our success is the discovery of a virtually unexplored chemical entity, N-(fluorosulfonyl)carbamate, as a bifunctional N,O-nucleophile.

Abstract
Oxaziridines have emerged as powerful and elegant oxygen- and nitrogen-transfer agents for a broad array of nucleophiles, due to the remarkably high and tunable reactivities. However, the asymmetric catalysis involving oxaziridines is still in its infancy. Herein, this review aims to examine recent advances in the catalytic asymmetric transformations of oxaziridines, including oxidation, amination, cycloaddition and deracemization.

Abstract
A palladium(II)-catalyzed β,γ-aminohydroxylation reaction of nonconjugated alkenyl carbonyl compounds has been developed. This reaction utilizes a cleavable bidentate directing group to achieve regioselective aminopalladation. The resulting chelation-stabilized alkylpalladium(II) intermediate is then hydroxylated using oxygen/2,6-dimethylbenzoquinone in HFIP as the mild oxidation system. Under the optimized conditions, various nucleophiles and alkene substrates are capable of delivering good yields and high diastereoselectivities of the aminohydroxylated products.

Abstract
The first biomimetic enantioselective total synthesis of (-)-communesin F based on a late-stage heterodimerization and aminal exchange is described. Our synthesis features the expedient diazene-directed assembly of two advanced fragments to secure the congested C3a-C3a' linkage in three steps, followed by a highly efficient biogenetically inspired aminal reorganization to access the heptacyclic communesin core in only two additional steps. Enantioselective syntheses of the two fragments were developed, with highlights including the catalytic asymmetric halocyclization and diastereoselective oxyamination reactions of tryptamine derivatives, a stereoselective sulfinimine allylation, and an efficient cyclotryptamine-C3a-sulfamate synthesis by either a new silver-promoted nucleophilic amination or a rhodium-catalyzed C-H amination protocol. The versatile syntheses of the fragments, their stereocontrolled assembly, and the efficient aminal exchange as supported by in situ monitoring experiments, in addition to the final stage N1'-acylation of the communesin core, provide a highly convergent synthesis of (-)-communesin F.

Abstract
An efficient and highly enantioselective Payne-type oxidation of N-sulfonyl imines is developed. The reaction exhibits broad substrate generality and unique chemoselectivity based on the combined use of hydrogen peroxide and trichloroacetonitrile under the catalysis of P-spiro chiral triaminoiminophosphorane.

Abstract
The regioselective and enantioselective oxyamination of alkenes with N-sulfonyl oxaziridines is catalyzed by a novel iron(II) bis(oxazoline) complex. This process affords oxazolidine products that can be easily manipulated to yield highly enantioenriched free amino alcohols. The regioselectivity of this process is complementary to that obtained from the analogous copper(II)-catalyzed reaction. Thus, both regioisomers of enantioenriched 1,2-aminoalcohols can be obtained using oxaziridine-mediated oxyamination reactions, and the overall sense of regiochemistry can be controlled using the appropriate choice of inexpensive first-row transition metal catalyst.
