Abstract
Covering: 1998 up to the end of 2023Since its initial disclosure in 1951, the Kornblum DeLaMare rearrangement has proved an important synthetic transformation and has been widely adopted as a biomimetic step in natural product synthesis. Utilising the base catalysed decomposition of alkyl peroxides to yield a ketone and alcohol has found use in many syntheses as well as a key strategic step, including the unmasking of furans, as a biomimetic synthetic tool, and the use of the rearrangement to install oxygen enantioselectively. Since ca. 1998, its impact as a synthetic transformation has grown significantly, especially given the frequency of use in natural product syntheses, therefore this 25 year time period will be the focus of the review.

Abstract
The cyclopropanation of alkenyl boronates and subsequent derivatization of the boronate handle are a convenient strategy to quickly build molecular complexity and access diverse compounds with a high sp3 fraction. Herein, we describe the asymmetric cyclopropanation of enantioenriched hydrobenzoin-derived alkenyl boronic esters toward the synthesis of tertiary and secondary cyclopropyl boronates.

Abstract
Endocannabinoid system is related with various physiological and cognitive processes including fertility, pregnancy, during pre- and postnatal development, pain-sensation, mood, appetite, and memory. In the latest decades, an important milestone concerning the endocannabinoid system was the discovery of the existence of the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2. Anandamide was the first reported endogenous metabolite, which adjusted the release of some neurotransmitters through binding to the CB1 or CB2 receptors. Then a series of cannabinomimetric lipids were extracted from marine organisms, which possessed similar structure with anandamide. This review will provide a short account about cannabinomimetric lipids for their extraction and synthesis.

Abstract
An efficient high yielding improved method for the enantio- and diastereoselective cyclopropanation of chiral epoxides using triethylphosphonoacetate and base (Wadsworth-Emmons cyclopropanation) is reported. The utility of this protocol is illustrated by concise and practical synthesis of cascarillic acid, grenadamide and L-(-)-CCG-II, a cyclopropane containing natural products.

Abstract
Sixteen new cyclic peroxides (1-16) with a plakortolide skeleton and the methyl ester derivative of a didehydroplakinic acid (17) were isolated from the Australian sponge Plakinastrella clathrata Kirkpatrick, 1900. Structural elucidation and configurational assignments were based on spectroscopic analysis and comparison with data for previously isolated plakortolides and revealed both phenyl- and methyl-terminating side chains attached to the plakortolide core. Plakortoperoxides A-D (5-8) each contained a second 1,2-dioxine ring; a cis configuration for the side chain endoperoxide ring was determined by a low-temperature NMR study and by comparison of chemical shift values with those of reported compounds. An enantioselective HPLC study compared natural plakortoperoxide A with a synthetic sample prepared by cyclization of plakortolide P with singlet oxygen and revealed that the natural sample was a mixture of cis diastereomers at C-15/C18. Four other cyclic peroxides (9-12) possessed a C(9)-truncated side chain terminating in a formyl or carboxylic acid functionality, suggesting that these metabolites may have been formed by oxidative cleavage of the Δ(9,10) bond of diene-functionalized plakortolides. A final group of four metabolites (13-16) with hydroxy or the rare hydroperoxy functionality unexpectedly revealed a C(8) side chain, while the ester (17) represents further structural variation within the growing family of cyclic peroxy sponge metabolites.
