Abstract
A green, mild and eco-friendly approach for the three component one-pot regioselective synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles from thiiranes has been introduced in the presence of NiFe2O4@SiO2-Cu as a new and recoverable nanocatalyst. First, the NiFe2O4 nanoparticles have been produced through a solid-state reaction of hydrated nickel sulfate, hydrated iron(iii) nitrate, NaOH and NaCl salts, and then calcined at 700 °C. Next, in order to protect the ferrite particles from oxidation and aggregation, the NiFe2O4 was core-shelled using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and converted to NiFe2O4@SiO2. Finally, the novel NiFe2O4@SiO2-Cu nanocomposite was successfully prepared by adding copper(ii) chloride solution and solid potassium borohydride. The catalyst has been characterized by FT-IR, SEM, EDX, VSM, ICP-OES, TEM and XRD techniques. The 1,3-dipolar cyclization of 1,2,3-triazoles was performed successfully in water at room temperature in high yields. The recoverability and reusability of the heterogeneous NiFe2O4@SiO2-Cu have also been investigated using VSM, SEM and FT-IR analyses. The catalyst was used four times in consecutive runs without considerable loss of activity. The presented procedure provides significant benefits such as using water as a green solvent, absence of hazardous organic solvents, high yields, benign conditions and recyclability of the magnetic catalyst.

Abstract
A green, novel and eco-efficient synthetic route towards the synthesis of highly substituted bio-active pyrrolidine-2-one derivatives was demonstrated using β-cyclodextrin, a water-soluble supramolecular solid as a green and eco-benign catalyst at room temperature under water-ethanol solvent medium. The exploration of the green catalyst β-cyclodextrin for the metal-free one-pot three-component synthesis of a wide range of highly functionalized bio-active heterocyclic pyrrolidine-2-one moieties from easily available aldehydes and amines explains the superiority and uniqueness of this protocol.

Abstract
The synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles with immobilized Cu(I) in thiosemicarbazide-functionalized β-cyclodextrin (Cu@TSC-β-CD) as a supramolecular catalyst was discussed. The catalyst was characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) measurements. The catalyst showed high activity (up to 95% yields of triazole products under optimized reaction conditions), providing a one-pot, atom-economic, and highly regioselective green method for 1,2,3-triazoles synthesis in an azide-alkyne cycloaddition (AAC) protocol in water. High stability and no appreciable leaching of Cu(I) were observed, owing to its strong binding via the coordination with thiosemicarbazide functionality.

Abstract
Nitrogen-containing heterocycles are important scaffolds for a large number of compounds with biological, pharmaceutical, industrial and optoelectronic applications. A wide range of different methodologies for the preparation of N-heterocycles are based on metal-catalyzed cyclization of suitable substrates. Due to the growing interest in Green Chemistry criteria over the past two decades, the use of supported metal catalysts in the preparation of N-heterocycles has become a central topic in Organic Chemistry. Here we will give a critical overview of all the solid supported metal catalysts applied in the synthesis of N-heterocycles, following a systematic approach as a function of the type of support: (i) metal catalysts supported on inorganic matrices; (ii) metal catalysts supported on organic matrices; (iii) metal catalysts supported on hybrid inorganic-organic matrices. In particular, we will try to emphasize the effective heterogeneity and recyclability of the described metal catalysts, specifying which studies were carried out in order to evaluate these aspects.

Abstract
This review accounts for the most recent and significant research results from the literature on the design and synthesis of 1,2,3-triazole compounds and their usefulness as molecular well-defined corrosion inhibitors for steels, copper, iron, aluminum, and their alloys in several aggressive media. Of particular interest are the 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazole derivatives prepared in a regioselective manner under copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click reactions. They are easily and straightforwardly prepared compounds, non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and stable products to the hydrolysis under acidic conditions. Moreover, they have shown a good efficiency as corrosion inhibitors for metals and their alloys in different acidic media. The inhibition efficiencies (IEs) are evaluated from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) parameters with different concentrations and environmental conditions. Mechanistic aspects of the 1,2,3-triazoles mediated corrosion inhibition in metals and metal alloy materials are also overviewed.

Abstract
We herein describe a rational design of a heterogeneous catalyst composed of a dinuclear cuprate anion being immobilized electrostatically on one surface of Janus-type nanosheets while the other surface is decorated with highly hydrophobic octyl groups. The catalyst was found to be well dispersible in the organic phase of a biphasic aqueous/organic mixture. It was characterized by means of elemental analysis, atomic absorption spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, N2 absorption-desorption analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and solid-state 13C and 29Si cross-polarization magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The Janus nature of the catalyst was investigated by employing a selective surface labeling method and by means of SEM. The catalyst shows higher activity compared to a non-Janus analogue in a biphasic synthesis. It was successfully used for the azide-alkyne cycloaddition and the Chan-Lam C-N coupling reaction. In addition, new and simple ways have been established for the production of a coumarin-triazole derivative and for the synthesis of the biologically active compound Monastrol via a solvent-free Biginelli reaction. The role of the dinuclear copper centers is discussed mechanistically.

Abstract
Magnesium ferrite magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized by a solid-state reaction of magnesium nitrate, hydrated iron(iii) nitrate, NaOH and NaCl salts and then calcined at high temperatures. In order to prevent oxidation and aggregation of magnesium ferrite particles, and also for preparing a new catalyst of supported copper on the magnetic surface, the MgFe2O4 was covered by copper nanoparticles in alkaline medium. Magnetic nanoparticles of MgFe2O4/Cu were successfully obtained. The structure of the synthesized magnetic nanoparticles was identified using XRD, TEM, EDS, FT-IR, FESEM and VSM techniques. The prepared catalyst was used in the three component one-pot regioselective synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles in water. The various thiiranes bearing alkyl, allyl and aryl groups with terminal alkynes, and sodium azide in the presence of the MgFe2O4/Cu nanocatalyst were converted to the corresponding β-thiolo/benzyl-1,2,3-triazoles as new triazole derivatives. The effects of different factors such as time, temperature, solvent, and catalyst amount were investigated, and performing the reaction using 0.02 g of catalyst in water at 60 °C was chosen as the optimum conditions. The recovered catalyst was used several times without any significant change in catalytic activity or magnetic property.

Abstract
A hydrazone ligand, (E)-6-(2-((2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)methylene)hydrazinyl)nicotinohydrazide (H2L), was synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods. The reaction of H2L with CuCl2·2H2O in methanol gave Cu(II) coordination compound, [Cu(HL')(Cl)]·CH3OH (1), which was characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods (Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and UV-vis). The structure of 1 was also determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. Structural studies confirmed the formation of esteric group during the synthesis of 1. Compound 1 was immobilized on 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTS)-functionalized silica gel through the amidification reaction and the obtained heterogeneous coordination compound was utilized as a catalyst for the three-component azide-epoxide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction in water as a green solvent. The structural properties of the heterogeneous catalyst were characterized by a combination of FT-IR, UV-vis, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS) analyses. The effect of the amount of catalyst and temperature on the cycloaddition reaction was studied, and the obtained 1,2,3-triazoles were characterized by spectroscopic studies and single-crystal X-ray analysis. The catalytic investigations revealed that this catalytic system has high activity in the synthesis of β-hydroxy-1,2,3-triazoles. It was also found that the aromatic and aliphatic substituents on the alkyne and epoxide together with the reaction temperature have considerable effects on the activity and regioselectivity of this catalytic system.

Abstract
A hybrid magnetic material γFe2O3@Sh@cu2O was easily prepared from Shilajit (Sh) decorated Fe3O4 and copper acetate. The prepared magnetic hybrid material was fully characterized using different analysis, including Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET). All these analysis revealed that during coating of Fe3O4@Sh using copper salt (II), synchronized redox sorption of CuII to CuI occurs at the same time as the oxidation of Fe3O4 to γFe2O3. This magnetic catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity for regioselective synthesis of 1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazoles via one pot three-component click reaction of sodium azide, terminal alkynes and benzyl halides in the absence of any reducing agent. High yields, short reaction time, high turnover number and frequency (TON = 3.5 * 105 and TOF = 1.0 * 106 h−1 respectively), easy separation, and efficient recycling of the catalyst are the strengths of the present method.![]()

Abstract
N-Heterocyclic compounds like 1,2,3-triazoles serve as a key scaffolds among organic compounds having diverse applications in the field of drug discovery, bioconjugation, material science, liquid crystals, pharmaceutical chemistry and solid phase organic synthesis. Various drugs containing 1,2,3-triazole ring which are commonly available in market includes Rufinamide, Cefatrizine, Tazobactam etc., Stability to acidic/basic hydrolysis along with significant dipole moment support triazole moiety for appreciable participation in hydrogen bonding and dipole-dipole interactions with biological targets. Huisgen 1,3-dipolar azide-alkyne cycloaddition culminate into a mixture of 1,4 and 1,5- disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles. In 2001, Sharpless and Meldal came across with a copper(I) catalyzed regioselective synthesis of 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles by cycloaddition between azides and terminal alkynes. This azide-alkyne cycloaddition has been labelled as a one of the important key click reaction. Click synthesis describes chemical reactions that are simple to perform, gives high selectivity, wide in scope, fast reaction rate and high yields. Click reactions are not single specific reaction, but serve as a pathway for construction of simple to complex molecules from a variety of starting materials. In the last few decades, 1,2,3-triazoles attracted attention of researchers all over the world because of their broad spectrum of biological activities. Keeping in view the biological importance of 1,2,3-triazole, in this review we focus on the various synthetic routes for the syntheisis of 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles. This review involves various synthetic protocols which involves copper and non-copper catalysts, different solvents as well as substrates. It will boost synthetic chemists to explore new pathway for the development of newer biologically active 1,2,3-triazoles.

Abstract
Background:
1,2,3-triazoles are an important class of organic compounds and because of their
aromatic stability, they are not easily reduced, oxidized or hydrolyzed in acidic and basic environments.
Moreover, 1,2,3-triazole derivatives are known by their important biological activities and have drawn
considerable attention due to their variety of properties. The synthesis of this nucleus, based on the click
chemistry concept, through the 1,3-dipolar addition reaction between azides and alkynes is a well-known
procedure. This reaction has a wide range of applications, especially on the development of new drugs.
Methods:
The most prominent eco-friendly methods for the synthesis of triazoles under microwave irradiation
published in articles from 2012-2018 were reviewed.
Results:
In this review, we cover some of the recent eco-friendly CuAAC procedures for the click synthesis of
1,2,3-triazoles with remarks to new and easily recoverable catalysts, such as rhizobial cyclic β-1,2 glucan;
WEB (water extract of banana); biosourced cyclosophoraose (CyS); egg shell powder (ESP); cyclodextrin (β-
CD); fish bone powder; nanoparticle-based catalyst, among others.
Conclusion:
These eco-friendly procedures are a useful tool for the synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles, providing
many advantages on the synthesis of this class, such as shorter reaction times, easier work-up and higher yields
when compared to classical procedures. Moreover, these methodologies can be applied to the industrial
synthesis of drugs and to other areas.

Abstract
A magnetically separable CoFe2O4/Cu(OH)2 nanocomposite was prepared and characterized by various techniques such as FESEM, EDS, TEM, XRD, VSM and FT-IR. This novel composite was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the regioselective synthesis of β-hydroxy-1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazoles from sodium azide, terminal alkynes and structurally different epoxides in water at 60 °C. The formation of the product proceeds in one pot through a mechanism that involves an in situ generated organic azide intermediate, followed by rapid ring closure with the alkyne component. The simple procedure, short reaction times, perfect regioselectivity, high product yields, and use of a benign solvent and nontoxic catalyst are among the considerable advantages of this protocol. Furthermore, the catalyst was easily separated using an external magnet and reused several times without any significant loss of catalytic activity or magnetic properties. Magnetically separable CoFe2O4/Cu(OH)2 nanocomposite was prepared and used as a novel heterogeneous catalyst for synthesis of β-hydroxy-1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazoles from epoxides.![]()
