Abstract
During the last two decades, organosulfur compounds have been used in the field of transition metal catalysis. Some of such compounds are known for their ability to withstand their exposure to air and moisture. These compounds are very important ligands. They may be obtained using simple and smooth modular synthetic protocols which include nucleophilic substitution reactions. The development of click chemistry represents a new era of innovation. It is a lighthouse of reliable and efficient reactions. In recent past, click chemistry has also been applied for the synthesis of such organosulfur ligands specifically suited for the dynamic field of transition metal catalysis. In order to synthesize novel compounds containing sulfur and triazole ring, click chemistry is an advantageous methodology over other approaches. This article covers the general features and uses of this methodology for the development of catalytically active organosulfur compounds. The significant advances in the design of transition metal catalytic systems utilizing such ligands, their use in the catalysis of many chemical transformations are also covered in this article. Effort has also been made to present a comparative overview of the performances of such catalysts vis-à-vis the catalysts designed commonly used ligands. Catalytic performances have been discussed thoroughly in order to identify the impact of ligand architecture on efficacy of the catalyst. Effect of reaction conditions (such as time, temperature etc.) and mechanistic aspects have also been rationalized.

Abstract
This report describes synthesis of two ruthenium(II) ENE pincer complexes (E = S, C1 and E = Se, C2 ) by the reaction of bis(2-(phenylchalcogenyl)ethyl)amine ( L1 , L2 ) with RuCl 2 (PPh 3 ) 3 . The complexes were characterized with the help of 1 H and 13 C{ 1 H} NMR, FTIR, HRMS, cyclic voltammetry and elemental analysis techniques. The structure and bonding mode of ligand with ruthenium in C2 was established with the help of single crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex showed distorted octahedral geometry with two chlorine atoms trans to each other. The Ru-Se bond distances (Å) are 2.4564(3)-2.4630(3), Ru-N distance is 2.181(2), Ru-P distance is 2.2999(6), and Ru-Cl distances are 2.4078(6)-2.4314(6). The complexes showed good to excellent catalytic activity for the N -alkylation of 1,2-phenylenediamine with benzyl alcohol derivatives to synthesize 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole derivatives. The complexes were also found to be efficient for aerobic oxidation of benzyl alcohols to corresponding aldehydes which are precursors to the bisimines generated in situ during the synthesis of 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole derivatives. Complex C2 where selenium is coordinated with ruthenium was found to be more efficient as compared to sulfur coordinated ruthenium complex C1 . Since ruthenium complexes are getting increasing attention for developing new anticancer agents, the preliminary studies like binding behavior of both the complexes towards CT-DNA were studied by competitive binding with ethidium bromide (EthBr) using emission spectroscopy. In addition, the interactions of C1-C2 were also studied with bovine serum albumin (BSA) using steady state fluorescence quenching and synchronous fluorescence studies. A good stability of Ru(II) state was observed by cyclic voltammetric studies of C1-C2 . Overall these molecules are good examples of bio-organometallic systems for catalytic and biological applications.

Abstract
The antimony halide-aided stereospecific coordination of a cyclic thiourea-type of ligand is observed for the first time. The antimony(III) imidazole thione complexes syn-[(L1 )SbCl3 ] (syn-1) and anti-[(L1 )SbBr3 ] (anti-2) have been synthesized in very good yield by the reaction between the spatially defined steric impact ligand [(IPaul)S] (L1 ) ([(IPaul)S]=1,3-bis(2,4-methyl-6-diphenyl phenyl)imidazole thione) and corresponding antimony halide. The stereoselective formation of complexes syn-1 and anti-2 has been confirmed by both NMR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Interestingly the stereospecific nature of syn-1 and anti-2 remains intact in solution. Furthermore, the thermal stability of antimony(III) imidazole thione complexes were examined by TGA analysis.

Ruthenacycles and Iridacycles as Transfer Hydrogenation Catalysts. Molecules 2021; 26:molecules26134076. Abstract
In this review, we describe the synthesis and use in hydrogen transfer reactions of ruthenacycles and iridacycles. The review limits itself to metallacycles where a ligand is bound in bidentate fashion to either ruthenium or iridium via a carbon–metal sigma bond, as well as a dative bond from a heteroatom or an N-heterocyclic carbene. Pincer complexes fall outside the scope. Described are applications in (asymmetric) transfer hydrogenation of aldehydes, ketones, and imines, as well as reductive aminations. Oxidation reactions, i.e., classical Oppenauer oxidation, which is the reverse of transfer hydrogenation, as well as dehydrogenations and oxidations with oxygen, are described. Racemizations of alcohols and secondary amines are also catalyzed by ruthenacycles and iridacycles.

Abstract
Novel antimony(iii) imidazole selone complexes in a super crowded environment are reported for the first time. The super bulky selone antimony complexes, [{IPr*Se}(SbCl3)2] (1) and [{IPr*Se}(SbBr3)2] (2), were isolated from the reactions between IPr*Se (IPr*Se = [1,3-bis(2,6-diphenylmethylphenyl)imidazole selone]) and suitable antimony(iii) halides. 1 and 2 are dinuclear complexes with a Sb : Se ratio of 1 : 0.5 with an unusual coordination mode of selone. The molecules 1 and 2 consist of both Menshutkin-type Sbπaryl interactions and a Sb-Se coordination bond. However, the reaction between antimony(iii) halides and [(IPaul)Se] ([(IPaul)Se] = [1,3-bis(2,4-methyl-6-diphenyl phenyl)imidazole selone]) with a spatially defined steric impact gave the dinuclear complex [{(IPaul)Se}(SbCl3)]2 (3) and the mononuclear complex [{(IPaul)Se}(SbBr3)] (4) without Menshutkin-type interactions. The Sb : Se ratio in 3 and 4 is 1 : 1. Interestingly, the Menshutkin-type interaction was absent in 3 and 4 due to the efficient coordinating ability of the ligand [(IPaul)Se] with the Sb(iii) center compared to that of the super bulky ligand IPr*Se. The thermal property of these antimony selone complexes was also investigated. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were carried out on the model systems [L(SbCl3)2] (1A), [L(SbCl3)] (1B), [L'(SbCl3)2] (1C), and [L'(SbCl3)] (1D), where L = [1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropyl-4-methyl phenyl)imidazole selone] and L' = [1,3-bis(phenyl)imidazole selone], to understand the nature of orbitals and bonding situations. The computed metrical parameters of 1A are in good agreement with the experimental values. Natural population analysis of the model system reveals that the natural charge and total population of antimony(iii) are comparable. The unequal interaction between selenium and antimony obtained using Wiberg bond indices (WBIs) is fully consistent with the findings of the single-crystal X-ray studies.

Abstract
Organochalcogen compounds have been used as the building blocks for the development of a variety of catalysts that have been studied comprehensively during the last two decades for several chemical transformations. Transfer hydrogenation (reduction of carbonyl compounds to alcohols) and oxidation of alcohols (conversion of alcohols to their respective ketones and aldehydes) are also among such chemical transformations. Some compilations are available in the literature on the development of catalysts, based on organochalcogen ligands, and their applications in Heck reaction, Suzuki reaction, and other related aspects. Some review articles have also been published on different aspects of oxidation of alcohols and transfer hydrogenation. However, no such article is available in the literature on the syntheses and use of organochalcogen ligated catalysts for these two reactions. In this perspective, a survey of developments pertaining to the synthetic aspects of such organochalcogen (S/Se/Te) based catalysts for the two reactions has been made. In addition to covering the syntheses of chalcogen ligands, their metal complexes and nanoparticles (NPs), emphasis has also been placed on the efficient conversion of different substrates during catalytic reactions, diversity in catalytic potential and mechanistic aspects of catalysis. It also includes the analysis of comparison (in terms of efficiency) between this unique class of catalysts and efficient catalysts without a chalcogen donor. The future scope of this area has also been highlighted.

Abstract
The catalytic activity of snowman-like and core-shell Fe3O4/Au nanoparticles (NPs), obtained through a "wet chemistry" approach which directly restitutes nanocatalysts stable and highly active in the reaction medium, was tested towards N-alkylation reactions. The nanocatalysts were tested for the synthesis of secondary amines. The core-shell NPs, thanks to the surface properties, homogeneous dispersion and intimate connection with reagents in the catalyst medium, exhibited an excellent catalytic activity (e. g. >99 % yield and conversion of aniline in very short time and mild conditions). Owing to the magnetic part, the nanoparticles can be easily separated and reused, showing an almost stable activity after 10 cycles.
