Abstract
A wide variety of primary and secondary lymphoma types involves the skin. However, reports with comparisons between both groups are limited in Taiwan. We retrospectively enrolled all cutaneous lymphomas and evaluated their clinicopathologic features. There were 221 cases of lymphoma: 182 (82.3%) primary and 39 (17.7%) secondary. Mycosis fungoides was the most common primary T-cell lymphoma, 92 (41.7%) cases, followed by CD30-positive T-cell lymphoproliferative disorders including lymphomatoid papulosis (n = 33, 14.9%) and cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (n = 12, 5.4%). The most frequent primary B-cell lymphomas were marginal zone lymphoma (n = 8, 3.6%) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), leg type (n = 8, 3.6%). DLBCL including variants was the most common secondary lymphoma involving skin. Most primary lymphomas presented at low-stage (T-cell, 86%; B-cell, 75%), whereas the majority of secondary lymphomas presented at high-stage (T-cell, 94%; B-cell, 100%). Patients with secondary lymphomas had an older mean age, more frequent B symptoms, lower serum albumin and hemoglobin, and a higher frequency of atypical lymphocytes in blood than those with primary lymphomas. In primary lymphomas, older age, lymphoma types, decreased lymphocyte counts and atypical lymphocytes in blood were poorer prognostic factors. In secondary lymphoma patients, lymphoma types, high serum lactate dehydrogenase and low hemoglobin levels predicted poorer survival. We found that the distribution of primary cutaneous lymphomas in Taiwan mirrors that of other Asian countries but shows some differences as compared with Western countries. Primary cutaneous lymphomas have a better prognosis than secondary lymphomas. Histologic classification of lymphomas highly correlated with disease presentation and prognosis.

Abstract
Cutaneous manifestations occur during the course of hematologic malignancies and precede, follow, or are late events in relation to the diagnosis. They result from paraneoplastic phenomena, tumor infiltrations, and immunosuppression resulting from the hematologic neoplasia itself or its treatment. The dermatologist must be aware of these conditions, which can help both in the diagnosis of the underlying disease and in the reduction of patient morbidity. This review (part I) addresses skin lesions associated with direct infiltration by systemic hematologic malignancies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the sonographic features of secondary involvement of skin and subcutaneous tissues by hematologic malignancies. METHODS A review of the ultrasound and pathology databases yielded 10 cases with 13 skin and subcutaneous tissue lesions secondary to hematologic neoplasms, which were confirmed by pathology. We used ultrasound to assess the number, location, size, depth of involvement, echogenicity, and vascularity of the lesions. RESULTS The study involved five male and five female patients, including four leukemia, two multiple myeloma, and four lymphoma patients. The average age was 45 years (17-66 years). Three patients presented with one lesion, four with two lesions, and three with more than two lesions. All the lesions were located in the trunk and extremities. The lesions ranged from 1.2 to 8.3 cm in size. A total of 10 lesions involved subcutaneous fat tissue. A total of 10 lesions displayed hypoechoic foci within a hyperechoic background, and three appeared hypoechoic, and most of them exhibited abundant vascularity (12 of 13 lesions). CONCLUSIONS Secondary involvement of skin and subcutaneous tissues by hematologic malignancies often present with multiple palpable masses showing the following ultrasound features: (1) subcutaneous fat infiltration, (2) hypoechoic foci with a hyperechoic background, and (3) abundant vascularity.

Abstract
Solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may be complicated by the development of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLDs). The World Health Organization categorizes PTLDs into four entities including non-destructive, monomorphic, polymorphic, and classical Hodgkin lymphoma types. The most common PTLDs are B-cell lymphomas, with T-cell lymphomas accounting for only a few cases. Cutaneous T-cell lymphomas are rarer still in post-transplant patients with primary cutaneous peripheral T-cell lymphoma being an extraordinarily rare subtype in this population. PTLDs may be aggressive and are often associated with high morbidity and mortality. Advances in medicine have led to increased awareness of PTLDs and improved diagnostic tools which assist in the diagnosis of these conditions. However, the clinical and histopathologic heterogeneity of PTLDs may make diagnosis a challenge. In the transplant patient population, the cutaneous manifestations of the lymphoproliferative disease may mimic other conditions, such as eczematous dermatitis and graft-vs-host disease. Herein, we report a case of post-transplant primary cutaneous peripheral T-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified (PTCL-NOS) in a pediatric heart transplant patient and describe the clinical presentation and diagnostic histopathologic features.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The types of cutaneous lymphoma (CL) and their incidences can vary among geographic areas or ethnic groups. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the incidence of various CL types in Japan using epidemiological data from a nationwide registration system for CL. METHODS A questionnaire was sent to participating hospitals, all of which had been approved to conduct residency programs for board-certified dermatologists by the Japanese Dermatological Association. Data from patients newly diagnosed with CL were collected electronically. RESULTS Between 2012 and 2017, 2547 new patients with CL from the dermatological institutes were registered. In total, 2090 patients had primary CL and 453 had secondary CL. Those with primary CL included 1609 (77.0 %) patients with mature T- and natural killer (NK)-cell neoplasms, 442 (21.1 %) with B-cell neoplasms, and 39 (1.9 %) with blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms. Mycosis fungoides (MF) was the most common CL subtype in the present study (1003 patients, 48.0 %), and 72.4 % of MF patients had early-stage disease, similar to observations in previous studies on other cohorts. Primary cutaneous CD30+ T-cell lymphoproliferative disorders and adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma were the second and third most common subtypes, respectively. CONCLUSION Compared to that in our previous cohort (2007-2011), the number of registered T- and NK-cell CL cases decreased, whereas that of B-cell CL cases increased from 44.8-73.7 patients/year. These results provide insight into CL trends within the Japanese population, which might contribute to a better understanding of the disease.

Abstract
Background While mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sézary syndrome (SS) are the most common cutaneous lymphomas (CLs), there is limited data about non-MF/SS CLs. Objective We aimed to evaluate clinical characteristics of non-MF/SS CLs. Methods A retrospective analysis evaluated patients with non-MF/SS CLs covering a period of 17 years. The records of 59 patients with non-MF/SS CLs were reviewed for demographic profiles, clinical features, and survival outcomes. Results Our series consisted of 38 non-MF/SS cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs) and 21 cutaneous B-cell lymphomas (CBCLs). In the group of non-MF/SS CTCLs including 33 primary and five secondary cases, there were cases of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (15.3% of non-MF/SS CLs), extranodal natural killer/ T-cell lymphoma (13.5%), peripheral T-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (13,5%), adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (8.5%), subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (6.8%) and angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (6.8%). In the group of CBCLs including nine primary and 12 secondary cases, there were cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (22.0%), mantle cell lymphoma (5.1%), extranodal marginal lymphoma of mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (3.4%), follicle center lymphoma (3.4%) and intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (1.7%). The overall survivals were 57 months for non-MF/SS CTCLs and 41.5 months for CBCLs. Elevated serum lactate dehydrogenase level, thrombocytopenia, multiple anatomical sites of skin involvement and lower albumin level may be associated with poor prognosis in non-MF/SS CTCLs, but the latter two were not in CBCLs. Conclusion With this series, we hope to provide indigenous data and outcome of non-MF/SS CLs. The overall survival of non-MF/SS CTCLs was better than CBCLs.

Abstract
In reviewing cutaneous manifestations of various hematologic malignancies, the authors focus on secondary cutaneous lymphomas and cutaneous manifestations of histiocyte disorders. Secondary cutaneous lymphomas are defined as skin lesions that develop secondary to infiltration by systemic lymphomas with predominantly extracutaneous involvement. In their review of histiocytic disorders with skin involvement, the authors focus on Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Rosai-Dorfman disease. Their review emphasizes the histology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, prognosis, and treatments available for these diseases.

Abstract
Background Skin cancer is the most common other primary cancer in patients with lymphoma. However, an intriguing association between cutaneous lymphoma and other primary cancers has been suggested in a few studies. Objective This study investigated other primary cancers in patients with cutaneous lymphoma to evaluate the risk for occurrence of each type of cancer. Methods We screened for other primary cancers in 428 patients with cutaneous lymphoma. Clinical features were analyzed according to the lineage and origin of the lymphomas. We calculated the standardized incidence ratio with statistical analysis for each group according to age. Results Among 330 patients with cutaneous T cell lymphoma and 98 with cutaneous B cell lymphoma, a total of 43 cancers in 38 patients were finally included. Other primary cancers were prevalent in patients with cutaneous B cell lymphoma and patients with secondary cutaneous lymphoma. However, those differences were not significant when the age was calibrated by multiple logistic regression. Metachronously higher standardized incidence ratios were observed for primary lung (standardized incidence ratio [SIR], 14.81; 95% confidence interval [CI], 3.05~39.54), skin (SIR, 68.05; 95% CI, 14.03~181.62), and breast (SIR, 12.91; 95% CI, 1.56~41.41) cancers with statistical significance. Conclusion Other primary cancers more preferentially occurred in patients with cutaneous lymphoma. Clinicians should carefully examine patients with cutaneous lymphoma for other cancers, especially lung, skin, and breast cancers.

Abstract
Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a complex heterogeneous group of disease entities that involves nodal and extranodal tissues. Cutaneous involvement can occur either as a primary or secondary in course of disease. Radiation therapy with either total body or localized treatments is often used for local control and symptom relief, depending on the target volume. We describe a 60-year-old male with a remote history of stage IA left neck follicular lymphoma treated with radiation 20 years ago and previous relapses aggressively treated by chemotherapy. Treatment to a large volume of back and posterior shoulders on a helical tomotherapy radiotherapy system is reported. The skin lesions responded completely with no toxicity. Palliative radiotherapy to a fairly large and complex volume of skin with modest dose avoiding underlying critical tissues on tomotherapy is feasible, well tolerated with an excellent durable response, without compromising future chemotherapy and stem cell transplant for systemic relapse.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cutaneous lymphomas are a heterogeneous group of tumors with various clinical manifestations, histological features, and prognoses. METHODS Among 425 cases of cutaneous lymphoma, we describe eight cases of peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified, presenting with generalized benign-looking dermatitis. RESULTS Our case series included eight cases of secondary cutaneous peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified. The observed clinical morphology features included drug eruption-like generalized morbilliform maculopatches in two cases, generalized folliculitis-like papules in two cases, and generalized eczematous dermatitis-like papules and patches in four cases. Histopathological examination demonstrated tumor cell infiltrates of mainly atypical, small-to-medium lymphoid cells that were perivascularly or periadnexally distributed throughout the dermis. Immunohistochemical staining results for CD2, CD3, CD4, and CD8 revealed that the tumor cells were T-cells. CONCLUSION This collection of cases and literature review emphasizes the need for clinical suspicion of peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified, in the differential diagnosis of adult patients with refractory eczematous or benign-looking skin lesions.

Abstract
Background: Nonmycosis fungoides/Sézary syndrome (non-MF/SS) primary cutaneous lymphomas (PCL) are currently categorized under the 2005-World Health Organization/European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (WHO-EORTC) classification for PCL. These differ in behavior from secondary cutaneous lymphomas (SCL) and to lymphomas limited to the oral cavity (primary oral lymphomas [POL]) both categorized under the 2016-WHO classification for lymphoid neoplasms. Aims: This study aims to report the first series of non-MF/SS PCL, SCL, and POL in a Mexican cohort, examine the applicability of current classification systems and compare our findings with those from foreign cohorts. Materials and Methods: Eighteen non-MF/SS PCL, four SCL, and two POL with available tissue for morphology and immunophenotypic assessment were reclassified according to the 2005-WHO/EORTC and 2016-WHO classifications. Results: Non-MF/SS PCLs were primarily of T-cell origin (61%) where CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders predominated, followed by Epstein–Barr virus-induced lymphomas, and peripheral T-cell lymphomas, not otherwise specified. Primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas (BCL) were primarily of follicle center cell origin followed by postgerminal lymphomas of the diffuse large BCL variety. Conclusions: Most non-MF/SS PCL, SCL, and POL can be adequately categorized according to the 2005-WHO/EORTC and 2016-WHO classification systems, even when dealing with clinically atypical cases. The relative frequencies in our cohort hold closer similarities to Asian registries than from those of Europe/USA, supporting the concept of individual and/or racial susceptibility, and the notion of geographical variances in the rate of lymphomas. In particular, such disparity may arise from viral-induced lymphomas which might show partial geographical restriction.

Abstract
We present a case of a woman who had erythematous papules on the abdomen accompanied with numbness and local heat sensation. She had received chemotherapy for advanced follicular lymphoma. F-FDG PET/CT demonstrated band-like hypermetabolic lesions seemingly involving dermatomes of lower abdominal wall, which was confirmed as secondary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphoma via skin biopsy.
