Abstract
Extensive research has made significant progress in exploring the potential application of extracellular vesicles (EV) in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). However, there is current a lack of study on bibliometrics. In this study, we completed a novel bibliometric analysis of EV research in OA over the past two decades. Specifically, we identified a total of 354 relevant publications obtained between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2022. We also provided a description of the distribution information regarding the countries or regions of publication, institutions involved, journals, authors, citations, and keywords. The primary research focuses encompassed the role of extracellular vesicles in the diagnosis of OA, delivery of active ingredients, treatment strategies, and cartilage repair. These findings highlight the latest research frontiers and emerging areas, providing valuable insights for further investigations on the application of extracellular vesicles in the context of osteoarthritis.

Abstract
Background and aims Prediabetes and osteoporosis are two commonly prevalent diseases that can have interconnected implications for overall well-being. There is a paucity of literature on "prediabetes and osteoporosis". We aimed to assess the current state of cross-sectional studies involving osteoporosis and prediabetes as well as their bibliometric features. Methods Publications about prediabetes and osteoporosis between January 1994 and November 2023 were taken from the Scopus database, and VOSviewer and Microsoft Office Excel were used for bibliometric analysis and visualization. Results We identified 272 documents that were written by 531 authors from 48 countries including 252 organizations. The USA was the leading country with the highest publications (n = 84) and Canada had the largest citation impact per paper (109.0). University of California, San Francisco contributed the most publications (n = 6), while Universita degli Studi di Torino, Italy (275.0 and 5.25), had the highest citation impact. Frontiers in Endocrinology (n = 7), was the most productive journal, while Annals of Internal Medicine (322.0) was the most influential in terms of citation impact per paper. The funded research was 30.5 %, while 17.6 % of research were involved in international collaboration. Conclusion The number of publications on this topic has increased over three decades. The highest citations per paper were received by the publications which had external funding, followed by those which had international collaboration. All the highly cited papers were published from high-income countries.

Abstract
There is a significant relationship between intestinal polyps and colorectal cancer, and in recent years, research on intestinal polyps has been rapidly developing around the world. However, there is still a lack of adequate quantification and analysis of publications in this field. The aim of this study was to perform a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of publications related to intestinal polyps over the past 20 years. To enhance the understanding of current research hotspots and potential trends, and to point out the direction of future research. Publications related to intestinal polyps were retrieved from the Science Citation Index Expanded in Web of Science Core Collection. the Bibliometric online analysis platform (https://bibliometric.com/app), the Bibliometrix Package, and the CiteSpace are used for bibliometric analysis and visualization, including the overall range of annual output and annual citations, country-region analysis, author and institution analysis, core journal analysis, reference and keyword analysis. Prior to 2017, the amount of research on intestinal polyps was slow to grow, but it picked up speed after that year. In 1019 journals, 4280 papers on intestinal polyps were published in English. The journal with the highest productivity was Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (189, 4.42%). United States (1124, 26.26%), which is also the hub of collaboration in this subject, was the most productive nation. Mayo Clinic (n = 70, 1.64%) is the most productive institution. Intestinal microbiota, endoscopic mucosal resection, gut microbiota, deep learning, tea polyphenol, insulin resistance and artificial intelligence were current hot subjects in the field. Studies of intestinal polyps increased significantly after 2017. The United States contributed the largest number of publications. Countries and institutions were actively cooperating with one another. artificial intelligence is currently an emerging topic.

Abstract
Robust, relevant, comprehensive, and up-to-date evidence syntheses are the cornerstone for evidence-informed healthcare decisions. When considering multiple treatment options, network meta-analysis (NMA) systematic reviews play a key role in informing impactful decisions and clinical practice guidelines. However, the capacity and literacy to conduct NMA systematic reviews and interpret its results remains out of reach for many clinicians and review authors, especially in low-to-middle-income countries. Despite ample resources and guides, NMA capacity and training opportunities remain limited to non-existent in Sub-Saharan Africa. Towards solutions and strengthening evidence synthesis and NMA capacity in the Sub-Saharan African region, we describe and reflect on two courses that build NMA capacity and aim to address NMA literacy in Sub-Saharan Africa.The Primer in NMA systematic reviews aimed for participants to be able to find, appraise, interpret, and consider the use of NMA SRs of intervention effects. It is a 6-week online course for clinicians, policy-makers, and researchers wanting to learn more about using NMA systematic reviews. The Global NMA Masterclass workshop aimed for participants to be able to understand and apply pairwise and NMA in STATA and R, evaluate NMA assumptions and confidence in NMA results, and appropriately report NMA results. This course was offered over 5 weeks to clinicians, biostatisticians, and researchers with basic knowledge of epidemiology and biostatics. Although the bulk of learning occurred through self-study, we had weekly, synchronous question-and-answer sessions for both courses. Using relevant examples throughout the courses helped to enable an authentic learning environment.This was the first NMA training developed in Africa for Africa. Development of the courses was a collaborative effort from a multi-disciplinary team. Both NMA courses were well received and attended by a diverse group of participants spread across Sub-Saharan African countries. Participants felt the courses were applicable to their setting. Although most participants appreciated the benefits of online learning, we also experienced some challenges. There is great potential to conduct NMA systematic reviews in Sub-Saharan Africa. The NMA Primer and NMA workshop can play an essential role in expanding and developing NMA SR capacity and literacy in SSA.

Abstract
Objectives Bibliometric analysis has emerged as a valuable method for identifying emerging areas in a given research field. Breast carcinoma has maintained a stable rank as the most common cancer affecting women worldwide. This study performed bibliometric profiling to shed light on breast cancer research conducted in KSA over the past two decades and to present the research output in the field of microRNAs (miRNA) in breast cancer in KSA. Methods The Web of Science (WoS) and PubMed databases were selected for data retrieval, because of their high coverage, inclusion of high impact journals and easy access to high quality publications. Data retrieval was performed on January 31, 2022. Data were analyzed with Incites from WoS, PubMed and VOSviewer software version 16.1.8. Results The most dynamic institutions, authors and active funding bodies were identified, and output on research in the field of miRNA was assessed. Bibliometric parameters including the number of publications and citation index were analyzed. A total of 3831 publications in the field were identified. A steep increase was observed in breast cancer research. The maximum number of publications was observed in 2021. King Saud University and King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre funded most of the projects and contributed the most publications. Visible progress was seen in research exploring the diagnostic and prognostic roles of mRNAs and their therapeutic potential in breast cancer. Conclusion Breast cancer research has attracted substantial attention, as reflected by a notable increase in scientific publications over the past two decades in KSA. The bibliometric parameters revealed crucial information regarding research contributions from various institutions and authors. In the field of miRNAs, notable research investment was observed, but a significant lacuna exists. This study provides a reference that may aid oncologists, researchers and policymakers in planning future research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Network meta-analyses (NMAs) are statistical techniques used to synthesize data from multiple studies and compare the effectiveness of different interventions for a particular disease or condition. They have gained popularity in recent years as a tool for evidence-based decision making in healthcare. Whether publications in NMAs have an increasing trend is still unclear. This study aimed to investigate the trends in the number of NMA articles over the past 10 years when compared to non-NMA articles. METHODS The study utilized data from the Web of Science database, specifically searching for articles containing the term "meta-analysis" published between 2013 and 2022. The analysis examined the annual number of articles, as well as the countries, institutions, departments, and authors associated with the articles and the journals in which they were published. Ten different visualization techniques, including line charts, choropleth maps, chord diagrams, circle packing charts, forest plots, temporal heatmaps, impact beam plots, pyramid plots, 4-quadrant radar plots, and scatter plots, were employed to support the hypothesis that the number of NMA-related articles has increased (or declined) over the past decade when compared to non-NMA articles. RESULTS Our findings indicate that there was no difference in mean citations or publication trends between NMA and non-NMA; the United States, McMaster University (Canada), medical schools, Dan Jackson from the United Kingdom, and the Journal of Medicine (Baltimore) were among the leading entities; NMA ranked highest on the coword analysis, followed by heterogeneity, quality, and protocol, with weighted centrality degrees of 32.51, 30.84, 29.43, and 24.26, respectively; and the number of NMA-related articles had increased prior to 2020 but experienced a decline in the past 3 years, potentially due to being overshadowed by the intense academic focus on COVID-19. CONCLUSION It is evident that the number of NMA articles increased rapidly between 2013 and 2019 before leveling off in the years following. For researchers, policymakers, and healthcare professionals who are interested in evidence-based decision making, the visualizations used in this study may be useful.

Abstract
Unrestrained urbanisation and natural space loss are reducing contact with nature in today's society, producing negative consequences for people's mental and physical health and wellbeing. Nature-based therapies, such as physical activity in natural settings, forest bathing, therapeutic hiking, or experiential learning, reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms and improve the quality of life in both general and specific populations. A bibliometric analysis of research on nature-based therapies was performed by applying the traditional laws of bibliometrics (exponential growth law, Bradford's concentration law, Lotka's law, Zipf's law, etc.) to documents published in journals indexed in the Core Collection of the Web of Science (WoS). Graphical visualisation was performed using the VOSviewer software. Annual publications between 2006 and 2021 presented an exponential growth trend (R2 = 91%). The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (MDPI) and Urban Forestry & Urban Greening (Elsevier) were the most productive and cited journals. Ikei, Miyazaki, and Song are the most cited prolific authors. The USA and South Korea were the countries with the highest scientific production. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in adventure, nature, and forest therapies among researchers. Nature-based therapies have experienced a growing interest in recent years. Positive effects on mental, physical, and emotional health have been found in different populations and research lines, although more studies with different designs and populations are needed.

Abstract
Researchers' interest in finding practical applications for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies has increased as new devices have become cheaper and more accessible, being used in entertainment, healthcare, and rehabilitation fields, among others. This study aims to provide an overview of the current state of scientific literature related to VR, AR, and physical activity (PA). A bibliometric analysis of studies published between 1994 and 2022 was conducted using The Web of Science (WoS), applying the traditional bibliometric laws and using the VOSviewer software for data and metadata processing. The results revealed an exponential increase in scientific production between 2009 and 2021 (R2 = 94%). The United States (USA) was the country/region with the most relevant co-authorship networks (72 papers); the most prolific author was Kerstin Witte, and the most prominent was Richard Kulpa. The most productive journal's core was composed of high-impact and open access journals. A great thematic diversity was found according to the most used keywords by the co-authors, highlighting concepts such as rehabilitation, cognition, training, and obesity. Then, the research related to this topic is in an exponential development phase, with great interest in the rehabilitation and sports sciences fields.

Abstract
Background Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative method which applies mathematical and statistical tools to evaluate the inter-relationships and impacts of publications, authors, institutions and countries in a specific research area. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRMAs) are summaries of the best available evidence to address a specific research question via comprehensively literature search, in-depth analysis and synthesis of results. To date, there have been several studies summarizing the publication trends of SRMAs in research specialties, however, none has conducted specifically in ophthalmology. The purpose of this study is to establish the scientometric landscape of SRMAs published in the field of ophthalmology over time. Methods We retrieved relevant ophthalmological SRMAs and the corresponding bibliometric parameters during 2000 to 2020 from Web of Science Core Collection. Bibliometric analysis was performed using bibliometrix package. Pre-registration and guideline compliance of each article was independently assessed by two investigators. Results A total of 2,660 SRMAs were included, and the average annual growth rate was 21.26%. China and the United States were the most productive countries, while Singapore was the country with the highest average citations per document. Wong TY was not only the most productive, but also the most frequently cited author. The most productive affiliation was National University of Singapore (n = 236). Systematic reviews and meta-analyses output in most subspecialties had steadily increased with retina/vitreous (n = 986), glaucoma (n = 411) and cornea/external diseases (n = 303) constantly as the most dominant fields. Rates of pre-registration and guideline compliance had dramatically increased over time, with 20.0 and 63.5% of article being pre-registered and reported guideline in 2020, respectively. However, SRMAs published on ophthalmology journals tended to be less frequently pre-registered and guideline complied than those on non-ophthalmology journals (both p < 0.001). Conclusion The annual output of SRMAs has been rapidly increasing over the past two decades. China and the United States were the most productive countries, whereas Singapore has the most prolific and influential scholar and institution. Raising awareness and implementation of SRMAs pre-registration and guideline compliance is still necessary to ensure quality, especially for ophthalmology journals.

Abstract
Purpose A growing body of evidence links chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). In spite of the lack of understanding of the specific cause-effect relationship between COPD and GERD, GERD has been shown to be a significant predictor of acute exacerbations of COPD. In this study, we examined the evolution of the relationship between COPD and GERD over the past decades and provided valuable insights into this topic. Methods The Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) was searched since its inception until 19 August 2022 to obtain publications related to COPD and GERD. The data was analyzed in Microsoft Excel (version 2021), HisCite (version 2.1), Scimago Graphica (version 1.0.23), VOSviewer (1.6.17), and CiteSpace (version 5.8.R3). Results We extracted 545 documents from the WoSCC database. Since 2002, there have been rapid increases in publications. Among countries and institutions, the United States and the University of Manchester were most prolific. The most cited journal was Chest, while Respiratory Medicine had the most publications. Among 2870 related authors, Hasenfuss, Gerd, Lange, Peter, and Martinez, Gerd were the top 3 contributing authors in this field. Aside from "gastroesophageal reflux disease" and "chronic obstructive pulmonary disease", the terms "quality of life", "cough", and "inflammation" were frequently occurred in the title and abstract of articles. Keywords co-occurrence overlay visualization indicated that "refractory chronic cough" was hot topics in recent years. Conclusion Research on COPD and GERD has flourished, and its content topics have become more in-depth over time. In the future, this hot topic deserves more attention.

Abstract
Objective: The aim of tissue engineering (TE) is to replace the damaged tissues or failed organs, or restore their missing functions. The important means to achieve this aim is to integrate biomaterials and life elements. Hydrogels are very attractive biomaterials in the field of TE. In particular, engineering extracellular matrices (ECMs) formed by photosensitive hydrogels have captivated much attention, because photopolymerization has many advantages over traditional polymerization approaches, such as rapidity of reaction, spatiotemporal controllability of polymerization process, and operability at physiological temperature, especially it can realize the fabrications of engineering ECMs in the presence of living cells. There have been many excellent reviews on the applications of photosensitive hydrogels in TE in recent years, however, it is inevitable that researchers may have left out many important facts due to exploring the literature from one or a few aspects. It is also a great challenge for researchers to explore the internal relationships among countries, institutions, authors, and references from a large number of literatures in related fields. Therefore, bibliometrics may be a powerful tool to solve the above problems. A bibliometric and visualized analysis of publications concerning the photosensitive hydrogels for TE applications was performed, and the knowledge domain, research hotspots and frontiers in this topic were identified according to the analysis results.Methods: We identified and retrieved the publications regarding the photosensitive hydrogels for TE applications between 1996 and 2022 from Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Bibliometric and visualized analysis employing CiteSpace software and R-language package Bibliometrix were performed in this study.Results: 778 publications meeting the eligibility criteria were identified and retrieved from WoSCC. Among those, 2844 authors worldwide participated in the studies in this field, accompanied by an average annual article growth rate of 15.35%. The articles were co-authored by 800 institutions from 46 countries/regions, and the United States published the most, followed by China and South Korea. As the two countries that published the most papers, the United States and China could further strengthen cooperation in this field. Univ Colorado published the most articles (n = 150), accounting for 19.28% of the total. The articles were distributed in 112 journals, among which Biomaterials (n = 66) published the most articles, followed by Acta Biomaterialia (n = 54) and Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A (n = 42). The top 10 journals published 47.8% of the 778 articles. The most prolific author was Anseth K (n = 33), followed by Khademhosseini A (n = 29) and Bryant S (n = 22). A total of 1443 keywords were extracted from the 778 articles and the keyword with the highest centrality was “extracellular matrix” (centrality: 0.12). The keywords appeared recently with strong citation bursts were “gelatin”, “3d printing” and “3d bioprinting”, representing the current research hotspots in this field. “Gelma”, “3d printing” and “thiol-ene” were the research frontiers in recent years.Conclusion: This bibliometric and visualized study offered a comprehensive understanding of publications regarding the photosensitive hydrogels for TE applications from 1996 to 2022, including the knowledge domain, research hotspots and frontiers in this filed. The outcome of this study would provide insights for scholars in the related research filed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIM Vitamin D play a substantial role in immune function, but little is known about its prevention in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). A detail bibliometric analysis of the published scientific literature indexed in Web of Science on vitamin D as a therapeutic option for the COVID-19 patients' treatment is lacking. Thus, the current study was conducted to determine the key bibliometric indices and plot the global research on vitamin D and COVID-19. METHODS The Web of Science Core Collection database was utilized to retrieve publications on vitamin D and COVID-19. A Boolean search strategy was applied and the obtained data were exported to Microsoft Excel to generate relevant graphs. Furthermore, VOSviewer software version 1.6.17 for Windows was used to generate co-authorship countries, bibliographic coupling sources and co-occurrence keyword network visualization mapping. In addition, RStudio and Bibliometric online tool were used to generate WordCloud and thematic map, and intercountries relation map, respectively. RESULTS A total of 818 publications on vitamin D and COVID-19 were included in the final analysis. These publications were cited 10,713 times, with an H-index of 50. The number of publications and citations score from 2020 to November 2021 increased from 317 (2423 citations) to 501 (8290 citations). Delanghe JR and Speeckaert MM were the most prolific authors with 13 publications each. The most productive journal was Nutrients (n = 63). The most studied research area is nutrition dietetics. The most widely used author keywords were COVID-19 (n = 444), Vitamin D (n = 312), and SARS-CoV-2 (n = 190). The National Institute of Health and US Department of Health and Human Services were the leading funding agencies. Harvard University was the most active institution with 25 publications. The United States of America was the highly contributing and influential country in terms of publications (n = 203) and total link strength (n = 185). CONCLUSION It was concluded that an increasing trend in the number of publications on vitamin D and COVID-19 has been observed. Significantly, the majority of the research has been conducted in developed countries. Most importantly, over the time, the direction of research has been changed and the recent trend topics are vitamin D deficiency, risk and infection, and vitamin D supplementation based on KeyWords Plus. The use of vitamin D supplement is one of the promising therapeutic options for COVID-19 treatment. Therefore, the current study not only highlight the global research trends but also provide standard bibliographic information for future studies.

Abstract
Background Intrauterine adhesionis caused by a variety of reasons, such as damage of the endometrial basal layer, adhesion or occlusion of the uterine cavity or cervix in different degrees. Seriously endangering women's physical and mental health. Objective The purpose of this paper is to analyze the research development of intrauterine adhesions in recent 15 years, explore the future development direction, and promote the development of this field. Methods With intrauterine adhesions and Ashman's syndrome as the theme, the related literatures from January 2006 to July 2021 in the Web of Science were searched, and the visual atlas was analyzed by CiteSpace software. Results A total of 644 literatures were included. The key words related to intrauterine adhesion mainly include adhesion, pregnancy, expression, intrauterine adhesions, women, adhesion molecule, diagnosis, activation, hysteroscopy and fertility, etc. Six clusters were obtained by keywords analysis, involving hysteroscopy, placenta, office hysteroscopy, uterus and laparoscopy. Co-occurrence of keywords shows that the research focus in recent years is on endometrial repair and regeneration. Conclusions Through the bibliometric analysis of WOS research on intrauterine adhesions in recent 15 years, the comprehensive analysis of countries, institutions, authors and keywords is obtained, which has a clear guiding significance for guiding the future development of intrauterine adhesions.

Abstract
Water contamination by microbes is a growing environmental challenge that has exacerbated the apparent scarcity of safe drinking water. To alleviate this challenge, it is important to screen water for pathogens to reduce the risk of contracting waterborne diseases among consumers. The use of the quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) tool to approximate illness possibility from exposure to microorganisms using dose-response models between pathogens and their associated health impacts is, therefore, recommended. The aim of this study was to explore the use of QMRA in water quality assessment using a scientometric approach and data sourced from the Web of Science (WoS) database for the period between 2016 and 2021. Articles were searched in the WoS databases before downloading the content for a bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer software. Additionally, Microsoft Excel was used to analyze the inter-relationships of the searched results. Journal articles had the highest results from the searched query at 90.6% compared to other forms of output. High-impact journals such as the Science of the Total Environment and Water Research had the highest number of publications at 11.056 and 7.5%, respectively. Keyword analysis showed the multidisciplinary nature of the search query based on the clustered themes. The USA and China showed greater publication output with a total of 51.7% of total publications compared to developing countries due to their high research potential and extensive collaborative networks. A similar trend was evident in the institutional analysis with the University of California, USA, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences being the highest research contributors with 8% of the searched output. The study highlighted the need to extend research inputs to developing countries of Africa and Asia to improve their research and development capacity, productivity and share knowledge on QMRA in water quality assessment.

Abstract
Background Despite recent advances in human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) prevention, a fast, safe, and effective vaccine will probably be necessary to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This study was conducted to evaluate global research trends and map the key bibliometric indices in HIV-1 genetic diversity from 1998 to 2021. Methods A comprehensive online search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection database to retrieve published literature on HIV-1 genetic diversity. Key bibliometric indicators were calculated and evaluated using HistCiteTM, Bibliometrix: An R-tool, and VOSviewer software for windows. Results A total of 2,060 documents written by 9,201 authors and published in 250 journals were included in the final analysis. Year 2012 was the most productive year with 121 (5.87%) publications. The most prolific author was Shao Yiming (n = 74, 3.59%) from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The United States of America was the highly contributing and influential country (n = 681, 33.05%). AIDS Research and Human Retroviruses was the most productive journal (n = 562, 27.2%). Network visualization shows that HIV-1 was the most widely used author keyword. Conclusion This study provides global research trends and detailed information on HIV-1 genetic diversity. The amount of scientific literature on HIV-1 genetic diversity research has rapidly increased in the last two decades. The maximum number of articles on HIV-1 genetic diversity was published in developed countries; therefore, a scientific research collaboration among researchers and institutes in low-income countries should be promoted and supported.

Abstract
Introduction To evaluate the global research results of the catheter ablation and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation in the past 40 years by bibliometrics, and to explore the hotspots and prospects for future development. Methods Relevant literatures were selected from the Web of Science Core Collection. VOSviewer 1.6.17, SciMAT 1.1.04, and CiteSpace 5.8.R1 were used to analyze the data objectively, deeply and comprehensively. Results As of July 14, 2021, 11,437 studies for the catheter ablation and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation have been identified from 1980 to 2021. The Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology and Circulation respectively ranked first in terms of the number of publications and the number of co-citations. A total of 6,631 institutions from 90 countries participated in the study, with USA leading the way with 3,789 documents. Cryoablation, atrial fibrosis, substrate modification, minimally invasive and access surgery will still be the research focus and frontier in the next few years. Conclusions The publication information for the catheter ablation and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation were reviewed, including country, institution, author, journal publications, and so on. Developed countries had the advantage in this research areas, and cooperation with low-income countries should be improved. The former research hotspots in the field of catheter ablation and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation were analyzed, and the future research direction was predicted.

Abstract
Background: Fascioliasis is a zoonotic neglected tropical disease caused by Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica. In endemic regions, fascioliasis represents a huge problem in livestock production and significantly threatens public health. The present study was performed to assess the key bibliometric indicators, plot the global research outcome, and strive to find the research frontiers and trends in fascioliasis. Methods: A descriptive bibliometric and visualized study was conducted. The data were extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database. The WoSCC was searched using key terms covering a wide range of synonyms related to the causative agent (Fasciola) and the disease (fascioliasis). The database search was performed for the period from the inception of WoSCC until 3 October 2021. The downloaded data were exported into VOSviewer software version 1.6.17 for Windows to construct co-authorship countries, keywords co-occurrence, bibliographic coupling sources, and citation and documents network visualization. Results: A total of 4165 documents were included in this bibliometric analysis. The included documents were published between the years 1913 and 2021 from 116 countries, mainly from the United States of America (USA) (n = 482, 11.6%). The most prolific year was 2018 (n = 108). The journal that attracted the most publications was Veterinary Parasitology (n = 324), while the most productive author in this area was Rondelaud D (n = 156). In terms of total link strength (TLS), the most influential country was Spain (TLS = 236), followed by the USA (TLS = 178). Conclusion: This study is of value for veterinarians, doctors, and researchers to explore insights into research frontiers and trends in research on fascioliasis. The number of publications on fascioliasis has increased over time. Above 35% of publications have been produced by the USA, France, England, and Spain. "Fasciola hepatica" and "cattle" were the most dominant and widely used keywords. Research collaboration should be established among the researchers from developing countries with developed countries to learn new advancements and effective control strategies for fascioliasis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Glaucoma is the second most-common blinding ophthalmic disease in the world, and its incidence has been rising year by year in recent years. Currently, the main treatment of glaucoma still relies on surgery. Glaucoma patients often suffer from various psychological problems like anxiety and depression not only because of the lack of understanding of the surgical treatment of glaucoma, but also the long-term stress and the poor prognosis. As alternative therapies, non-pharmacological interventions can greatly alleviate psychological burdens and improve sleep quality in surgically treated glaucoma patients. Randomized controlled trials of non-pharmacologic interventions for glaucoma have been reported, although the results remain conflicting. Evidences for determining the efficacy of non-pharmacologic interventions for glaucoma are scant. This study aims to assess the effects of non-pharmacological interventions on anxiety, depression, and sleep quality in patients with postoperative glaucoma through a network meta-analysis. METHODS A systematic search of relevant literatures published before August 2021 about the effects of non-pharmacological interventions on anxiety, depression, and sleep quality in patients with postoperative glaucoma will be performed in Wanfang, VP Information Chinese Journal Service Platform, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese BioMedicine Literature Database, Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of science. Two reviewers will be independently responsible for literature screening and selection, quality assessment, and data extraction. WinBUGS 1.4 will be used for the network meta-analysis. RESULTS This meta-analysis will provide additional and stronger evidences for non-pharmacological interventions on anxiety, depression, and sleep quality in patients with postoperative glaucoma, which will help clinicians and decision makers to make an optimal therapeutic strategy. CONCLUSION This study will provide a reliable evidence-based basis for the clinical application of non-pharmacological interventions on anxiety, depression, and sleep quality in patients with postoperative glaucoma. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION Ethical approval was not required for this study. The systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal, presented at conferences, and shared on social media platforms. Abstract
In the past years, network meta-analysis (NMA) has been widely used among clinicians, guideline makers, and health technology assessment agencies and has played an important role in clinical decision-making and guideline development. To inform further development of NMAs, we conducted a bibliometric analysis to assess the current status of published NMA methodological studies, summarized the methodological progress of seven types of NMAs, and discussed the current challenges of NMAs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers, the symptoms and treatment of which can cause negative emotions like anxiety, depression, and cancer-related fatigue (CRF). Nonpharmacological interventions, serving as alternative therapies, can greatly alleviate CRF in lung cancer patients. Previous meta-analyses have reported nonpharmacological interventions of CRF in lung cancer patients, but the results may be conflicting, and the reporting and methodological qualities remain unknown. Moreover, there is limited evidence to identify efficient and safe non-pharmacological interventions of CRF in lung cancer patients. This study aims to assess the therapeutic efficacy of nonpharmacological interventions of CRF in lung cancer patients through a network meta-analysis. METHODS Relevant literatures reporting non-pharmacological interventions of CRF in lung cancer patients published before June 2021 will be searched in online databases, including Wanfang, VP Information Chinese Journal Service Platform, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese BioMedicine Literature Database, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of science. Two reviewers will be independently responsible for study selection, quality appraisal, and data extraction. Data analysis will be performed using the STATA14.0 and GEMTC 0.14.3 software. RESULTS This meta-analysis will provide additional and stronger evidences for nonpharmacological interventions of CRF in lung cancer patients. Our findings will be conductive to make therapeutic decisions by clinicians. CONCLUSION This study will provide a reliable evidence-based basis for non-pharmacological interventions of CRF in lung cancer patients. Abstract
BACKGROUND Osteoporosis is a common bone disease that has a significant social and economic effect. Many meta-analyses of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for osteoporosis have been reported, but the findings may be contradictory, and both the reporting and methodological quality remain unknown. As a result, an overview that includes a network meta-analysis was proposed to address these issues. METHODS The Cochrane library, PubMed, Embase, CBM, and CNKI databases will be systematically searched for meta-analyses of osteoporosis interventions from inception to May 2021. In order to evaluate the reporting and methodological quality of each included meta-analysis, Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis 2020 (PRISMA-2020), and A MeaSurement Tool to Assess systematic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR-2) will be used. For the assessment of the relative efficacy and safety of treatments reported in the randomized controlled trials included in the meta-analyses identified by the overview, a Bayesian network meta-analysis will be carried out. The odds ratio and standard mean difference with their 95% credible intervals will be used to present the binary and continuous outcomes, respectively, and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation method will be used to determine the certainty of the evidence through Confidence In Network Meta-Analysis. Data analysis will be performed using WinBUGS, R, and Stata, with a 2-sided P < .05 considered as statistically significant. RESULTS The findings of this overview, which includes a network meta-analysis, will be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal for publication. CONCLUSION An overview with network meta-analysis will provide evidence on the efficacy and safety of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for osteoporosis, while also identifying the flaws in previously published meta-analyses. Abstract
Introduction: Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes worldwide. According to World Health Organization, injuries are the leading cause of disability and death among all age groups below 60 years. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the global research outcomes and trends, and some key bibliometric indicators in pediatric trauma. Methods: A descriptive bibliometric analysis study was designed. On June 14, 2021, an electronic search was performed in the Web of Science Core Collection database using the potential searching keywords "Pediatric AND Trauma" in the title field without any limitations. The search was performed using the Boolean search query method. The data were downloaded in plaintext and comma-separated values format. The required graphs were generated using OriginPro 2018. Furthermore, the data were transferred to HistCite™ software for bibliometric analysis. In addition, the obtained data were plotted for network visualization mapping using VOSviewer software version 1.6.15 for windows. Results: A total of 2,269 documents were included in the final analysis. The included documents were authored by 7,894 authors and published in 395 research and academic journals, mainly in the English language (n = 2,222). The main document types were articles (n = 1,276, citations = 18,244), and meeting abstracts (n = 331, citations = 19). Pediatric (n = 2,269) and trauma (n = 2,257) were the most widely used keywords. The most productive year was 2019 (n = 184, citations = 527). The most prolific author was Upperman JS (n = 29, citations = 202). The most attractive journals in pediatric trauma research were The Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (n = 290, citations = 5,199) and the Journal of Pediatric Surgery (n = 256, citations = 5,088). The most active institute was the University of California System (n = 110). The most dominant country was the United States of America (USA) (n = 1,620, citations = 22,983). The USA and Canada had the highest total link strength, 103 and 70, respectively. Conclusion: This study provides a comprehensive overview of research output in pediatric trauma. The USA continues to dominate scientific research and funding in pediatric trauma. Findings of the current study will help the researchers and clinicians to understand the recent achievements and research frontiers. Collaborative research initiative needs to be established between institutions in developed and developing countries and among researchers.
