Reverse Koebner Phenomenon in Bullous Pemphigoid - A Case Report

Reverse Koebner response is the nonappearance or disappearance of the lesions of particular dermatoses at the site of injury. Herein we report a case of the reverse Koebner phenomenon in bullous pemphigoid in a 35-year-old male patient with sparing of the waist area which could probably be because of the phenomenon of locus majoris resistentiae. The histopathology of the lesion showed subepidermal split with a mixed inflammatory infiltrate, which was composed of predominantly eosinophils, neutrophils, and lymphocytes, but the histopathology of the spared skin showed no abnormalities. However, the direct immunofluorescence from the perilesional area showed linear deposits of immunoglobulin G and C3 in the dermoepidermal junction, but there were no deposits in direct immunofluorescence from the spared skin. This case is being reported for its originality and one of its kind.

Reverse Koebner's phenomenon in a case of Lymphohemangioma circumscriptum: A diagnostic clue representative of the Whimster hypothesis

BACKGROUND

Lymphangioma circumscriptum are benign hamartomatous lymphatic growths, diagnosed clinically by the morphology of groups of clear fluid filled to serosanguinous fluid vesicles. MRI is an essential investigation to assess the depth of the lesions.

AIM

To report an interesting hitherto unreported observation of Reverse Koebner's phenomenon, which can be used as a new diagnostic technique in Lymphohemagioma.

METHOD

Biopsy was taken for the confirmation of the lesion which is an inflicted iatrogenic trauma which showed Reverse koebner's phenomenon in the lesion.

RESULTS

Irregular shaped reddish blue painless plaque with rough lobulated surface with discrete firm reddish-blue painless papules, of varying sizes were biopsied. Post biopsy, significant reduction in size and redness of the lesions noticed.

CONCLUSION

Disappearance of the lesions on biopsy indicates reminiscensce of the reverse koebner's phenonmenon.

Koebner phenomenon in leukocytoclastic vasculitis: A case report and an updated review of the literature

Leukocytoclastic vasculitis is the most common form of cutaneous vasculitis. It is a neutrophilic small vessel vasculitis resulting from the deposition of circulating immune complexes. Henoch-Schonlein purpura is a systemic type of leukocytoclastic vasculitis, characterized by immunoglobulin A-mediated blood vessel injury. We present a case of Henoch-Schonlein purpura in an adult female manifesting with a vasculitic rash with Koebner phenomenon.

Koebner's Phenomenon in Childhood Henoch-Schönlein Purpura: A Report of Two Cases

Koebner's phenomenon occurs rarely in connection with Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP). We report two children with HSP who developed Koebner's phenomenon on the second day after the onset of rash. The first was an 11-year-old girl with rheumatic heart disease who presented with abdominal pain for 1 month and subsequently developed rash and nephritis. The second patient was a 7-year-old girl who presented with rash and polyarthritis. To the best of our knowledge, Koebner's phenomenon in childhood HSP has not been reported.
