Abstract
Chemotherapy based on intrapleural perfusion hyperthermia (IPH) can markedly improve the sensitivity of lung adenocarcinoma cells to anti-programmed cell death receptor 1 (PD1) antibody adjuvant chemotherapy and enhance the clinical response of a patient. In the present study, a unique case of a patient who failed to respond to immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy but achieved prolonged stable disease after treatment with IPH and subsequent sintilimab-based treatment, is reported. A 50-year-old Chinese female patient was admitted to a regional cancer hospital presenting with hemoptysis and persistent fever. The findings of computed tomography imaging and thoracic puncture tissue biopsy indicated a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma. The TNM and clinical stage were identified as cT2N3M0 and stage IIIB, respectively. Immunohistochemical tests showed the expression of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) with a tumor proportion score of 2%. No other classic genetic alterations were detected. Initially, sintilimab-based chemotherapy at 200 mg was administered, for three cycles from April 2020, and increased pleural effusion was observed on the left side. The best overall response (BOR) assessment of the local lesion was progressive disease. IPH combined with chemotherapy was then carried out from August to September 2020, after which the same course of sintilimab-based chemotherapy as aforementioned was provided from October 2020 to September 2023. The BOR evaluation results during the monotherapy courses were all judged as stable disease. Therefore, it was concluded that IPH can substantially improve the efficiency of anti-PD1 antibody-based therapy for lung adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
Selenium-containing compounds are important scaffolds owing to their value in medicinal chemistry, biochemistry and material chemistry. Herein, we report an electrochemical approach to access seleno-benzazepines through an oxidative radical cascade cyclization of dienes with diselenides under metal-free, external oxidant-free and base-free conditions. In a simple undivided cell, various dienes and diselenides were suitable for this transformation, generating the desired products in up to 84% yields. This method provides a green and convenient route for the synthesis of valuable selenium-containing seven-membered N-heterocycles from simple starting materials.

Abstract
In the quest to enhance the mechanical properties of CuP alloys, particularly focusing on the Cu3P phase, this study introduces a comprehensive investigation into the effects of various alloying elements on the alloy's performance. In this paper, the first principle of density universal function theory and the projection-enhanced wave method under VASP 5.4.4 software are used to recalculate the lattice constants, evaluate the lattice stability, and explore the mechanical properties of selected doped elements such as In, Si, V, Al, Bi, Nb, Sc, Ta, Ti, Y and Zr, including shear, stiffness, compression, and plasticity. The investigation reveals that strategic doping with In and Si significantly enhances shear resistance and stiffness, while V addition notably augments compressive resistance. Furthermore, incorporating Al, Bi, Nb, Sc, Ta, Ti, V, Y, and Zr has substantially improved plasticity, indicating a broad spectrum of mechanical enhancement through precise alloying. Crucially, the validation of our computational models is demonstrated through hardness experiments on Si and Sn-doped specimens, corroborating the theoretical predictions. Additionally, a meticulous analysis of the states' density further confirms our computational approach's accuracy and reliability. This study highlights the potential of targeted alloying to tailor the mechanical properties of Cu3P alloys and establishes a robust theoretical framework for predicting the effects of doping in metallic alloys. The findings presented herein offer valuable insights and a novel perspective on material design and optimization, marking a significant stride toward developing advanced materials with customized mechanical properties.

Abstract
1. The following study investigated the relationship between pulmonary hypertension syndrome (PHS) and mitochondrial dynamics in broiler cardiomyocytes.2. An animal model for PHS was established by injecting broiler chickens with CM-32 cellulose particles. Broiler myocardial cells were cultured under hypoxic conditions to establish an in vitro model. The ascites heart index, histomorphology, mitochondrial ultrastructure, and mitochondrial dynamic-related gene and protein expression were evaluated.3. The myocardial fibres from PHS broilers had wider spaces and were wavy and twisted and the number of mitochondria increased. Compared with the control group, the gene and protein expression levels were decreased for Opa1, Mfn1, and Mfn2 in the myocardium of PHS broilers. The gene and protein expression was significantly increased for Drp1 and Mff.4. This study showed that PHS in broilers may cause myocardial mitochondrial dysfunction, specifically by diminishing mitochondrial fusion and enhancing fission, causing disturbances in the mitochondrial dynamics of the heart.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Malnutrition is highly prevalent and associated with complications and mortality in patients with cirrhosis. METHODS This was a prospective observational study. Patients with cirrhosis were screened using the Nutritional Risk Screening 2002, the Royal Free Hospital-Nutritional Prioritizing Tool and the Skeletal Muscle Index. Then, the sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values, and consistency with the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition criteria results were calculated. We also analysed the association between nutritional status and short-term prognosis. RESULTS We enrolled 125 patients with cirrhosis, of whom 59.20% and 60.00% were malnourished based on the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition criteria and Skeletal Muscle Index. Some 53.60% and 65.60%, respectively, were classified medium-to-high nutritional risk by Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 and the Royal Free Hospital-Nutritional Prioritizing Tool. The Royal Free Hospital-Nutritional Prioritizing Tool had the best predictive value, and it was more sensitive and had a better negative predictive value than the Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 Tool. The Skeletal Muscle Index also had good sensitivity and predictive value. The Royal Free Hospital-Nutritional Prioritizing Tool, Skeletal Muscle Index and Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition criteria showed high concordance. The 3- and 6-month mortality rates were significantly higher for patients with moderate-to-high nutritional risk or malnutrition, regardless of the tool. CONCLUSIONS When assessing cirrhosis with the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition criteria, the Royal Free Hospital-Nutritional Prioritizing Tool is best for nutritional screening and the Skeletal Muscle Index is also a good nutritional assessment tool.

Abstract
Degradation of insulation paper is a key contributor to the failure of power transformers. Insulation degradation accelerates at elevated temperatures, which highlights the potential for better thermal management to prolong life. While several studies have analyzed the benefits of high thermal conductivity oil for reducing temperatures inside a transformer, this study is an initial assessment of the benefits of high thermal conductivity paper on transformer life. Blending particulates with cellulosic fibers offers a pathway for high thermal conductivity paper (with good dielectric properties), which can reduce internal temperatures. Presently, life extensions that can be achieved by the use of such thermally conducting papers were estimated, with the thermal conductivity of the paper being the key parameter under study. The analytical-numerical thermal model used in this study was validated against experimental measurements in a distribution transformer, adding confidence to the utility of the model. This model was then used to provide estimates of hot-spot temperature reduction resulting from the use of papers with higher thermal conductivity than baseline. Transformer life was predicted conventionally by tracking the degree of polymerization of paper over time, based on an Arrhenius model. Results indicate that increasing the thermal conductivity of paper from 0.2 W/mK (baseline) to 1 W/mK reduces the hot spot temperature by 10 °C. While degradation significantly depends on the moisture and oxygen content, the model shows that such a temperature reduction can increase life for all conditions, by as much as a factor of three.

Abstract
AIM To evaluate the motion amplitude of lung nodules in different locations during preoperative computed tomography (CT)-guided localization, and the influence of respiratory movement on CT-guided percutaneous lung puncture. MATERIALS AND METHODS A consecutive cohort of 398 patients (123 men and 275 women with a mean age of 53.9 ± 10.7 years) who underwent preoperative CT-guided lung nodule localization from May 2021 to Apr 2022 were included in this retrospective study. The respiratory movement-related nodule amplitude in the cranial-caudal direction during the CT scan, characteristics of patients, lesions, and procedures were statistically analyzed. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to evaluate the influence of these factors on CT-guided localization. RESULTS The nodule motion distribution showed a statistically significant correlation within the upper/middle (lingular) and lower lobes (p<0.001). Motion amplitude was an independent risk factor for CT scan times (p=0.011) and procedure duration (p=0.016), but not for the technical failure rates or the incidence of complications. Puncture depth was an independent risk factor for the CT scan times, procedure duration, technical failure rates, and complications (p<0.01). Female, prone, and supine (as opposed to lateral) positions were significant protective factors for pneumothorax, while the supine position was an independent risk factor for parenchymal hemorrhage (p=0.025). CONCLUSION Respiratory-induced motion amplitude of nodules was greater in the lower lobes, resulting in more CT scan times/radiation dose and longer localization duration, but showed no statistically significant influence on the technical success rates or the incidence of complications during preoperative CT-guided localization.

Abstract
Objectives The present study aimed to develop a radiomics nomogram based on conventional ultrasound (CUS) to preoperatively distinguish high tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and low TILs in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients. Methods In the present study, 145 TNBC patients were retrospectively included. Pathological evaluation of TILs in the hematoxylin and eosin sections was set as the gold standard. The patients were randomly allocated into training dataset and validation dataset with a ratio of 7:3. Clinical features (age and CUS features) and radiomics features were collected. Then, the Rad-score model was constructed after the radiomics feature selection. The clinical features model and clinical features plus Rad-score (Clin+RS) model were built using logistic regression analysis. Furthermore, the performance of the models was evaluated by analyzing the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA). Results Univariate analysis and LASSO regression were employed to identify a subset of 25 radiomics features from a pool of 837 radiomics features, followed by the calculation of Rad-score. The Clin+RS integrated model, which combined posterior echo and Rad-score, demonstrated better predictive performance compared to both the Rad-score model and clinical model, achieving AUC values of 0.848 in the training dataset and 0.847 in the validation dataset. Conclusion The Clin+RS integrated model, incorporating posterior echo and Rad-score, demonstrated an acceptable preoperative evaluation of the TIL level. The Clin+RS integrated nomogram holds tremendous potential for preoperative individualized prediction of the TIL level in TNBC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion can further exacerbate myocardial injury and increase the risk of death. Our previous research found that the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus plays a crucial role in the improvement of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) by electroacupuncture (EA) pretreatment, but its mechanism of action is still unclear. CRH neurons exhibit periodic concentrated expression in PVN, but further research is needed to determine whether they are involved in the improvement of MIRI by EA pretreatment. Meanwhile, numerous studies have shown that changes in sympathetic nervous system innervation and activity are associated with many heart diseases. This study aims to investigate whether EA pretreatment improves MIRI through sympathetic nervous system mediated by PVNCRH neurons. METHODS Integrated use of fiber-optic recording, chemical genetics and other methods to detect relevant indicators: ECG signals were acquired through Powerlab standard II leads, and LabChart 8 calculated heart rate, ST-segment offset, and heart rate variability (HRV); Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular short-axis shortening (LVFS), left ventricular end-systolic internal diameter (LVIDs) and interventricular septal thickness (IVSs) were measured by echocardiography; Myocardial infarct area (IA) and area at risk (AAR) were calculated by Evans-TTC staining. Pathological changes in cardiomyocytes were observed by HE staining; Changes in PVNCRH neuronal activity were recorded by fiber-optic photometry; Sympathetic nerve discharges were recorded for in vivo electrophysiology; NE and TH protein expression was assayed by Western blot. RESULTS Our data indicated that EA pretreatment can effectively alleviate MIRI. Meanwhile, we found that in the MIRI model, the number and activity of CRH neurons co labeled with c-Fos in the PVN area of the rat brain increased, and the frequency of sympathetic nerve discharge increased. EA pretreatment could reverse this change. In addition, the results of chemical genetics indicated that inhibiting PVNCRH neurons has a similar protective effect on MIRI as EA pretreatment, and the activation of PVNCRH neurons can counteract this protective effect. CONCLUSION EA pretreatment can inhibit PVNCRH neurons and improve MIRI by inhibiting sympathetic nerve, which offers fresh perspectives on the application of acupuncture in the management of cardiovascular disease.

Abstract
Heterogeneous photocatalytic degradation of antibiotic involves the activation of antibiotic molecules and the photocatalytic oxidation process. However, the simultaneous improvement of these processes is still a challenge. Herein, S-scheme heterojunctions consisted of Cu2O nanocluster with defective WO3 nanosheets were constructed for efficient photocatalytic degradation of levofloxacin (LVX). The typical CNS-5 composite (5 wt% Cu2O/WO3) achieves an optimal LVX degradation efficiency of 97.9% within 80 min. The spatial charge separation and enhancement of redox capacity were realized by the formation of S-scheme heterojunction between Cu2O and WO3. Moreover, their interfacial interaction would lead to the loss of lattice oxygen and the generation of W5+ sites. It is witnessed that the C-N of piperazine ring and CO of carboxylic acid in LVX are coordinated with W5+ sites to build the electronic bridge to activate LVX, greatly promoting the further degradation. This work highlights the important role of selective coordination activation cooperated with S-type heterojunctions for the photocatalytic degradation and offers a new view to understand the degradation of antibiotics at molecular level.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Disulfidptosis is a recently discovered form of programmed cell death that could impact cancer development. Nevertheless, the prognostic significance of disulfidptosis-related genes (DRGs) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) requires further clarification. METHODS This study systematically explores the genetic and transcriptional variability, prognostic relevance, and expression profiles of DRGs. Clusters related to disulfidptosis were identified through consensus clustering. We used single-sample gene set enrichment analysis and ESTIMATE to assess the tumor microenvironment (TME) in different subgroups. We conducted a functional analysis of differentially expressed genes between subgroups, which involved gene ontology, the Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes, and gene set variation analysis, in order to elucidate their functional status. Prognostic risk models were developed using univariate Cox regression and the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression. Additionally, single-cell clustering and cell communication analysis were conducted to enhance the understanding of the importance of signature genes. Lastly, qRT-PCR was employed to validate the prognostic model. RESULTS Two clearly defined DRG clusters were identified through a consensus-based, unsupervised clustering analysis. Observations were made concerning the correlation between changes in multilayer DRG and various clinical characteristics, prognosis, and the infiltration of TME cells. A well-executed risk assessment model, known as the DRG score, was developed to predict the prognosis of LUAD patients. A high DRG score indicates increased TME cell infiltration, a higher mutation burden, elevated TME scores, and a poorer prognosis. Additionally, the DRG score showed a significant correlation with the tumor mutation burden score and the tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion score. Subsequently, a nomogram was established for facilitating the clinical application of the DRG score, showing good predictive ability and calibration. Additionally, crucial DRGs were further validated by single-cell sequencing data. Finally, crucial DRGs were further validated by qRT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. CONCLUSION Our new DRG signature risk score can predict the immune landscape and prognosis of LUAD. It also serves as a reference for LUAD's immunotherapy and chemotherapy.

Abstract
Anyons, exotic quasiparticles in two-dimensional space exhibiting nontrivial exchange statistics, play a crucial role in universal topological quantum computing. One notable proposal to manifest the fractional statistics of anyons is the toric code model; however, scaling up its size through quantum simulation poses a serious challenge because of its highly entangled ground state. In this Letter, we demonstrate that a modular superconducting quantum processor enables hardware-pragmatic implementation of the toric code model. Through in-parallel control across separate modules, we generate a 10-qubit toric code ground state in four steps and realize six distinct braiding paths to benchmark the performance of anyonic statistics. The path independence of the anyonic braiding statistics is verified by correlation measurements in an efficient and scalable fashion. Our modular approach, serving as a hardware embodiment of the toric code model, offers a promising avenue toward scalable simulation of topological phases, paving the way for quantum simulation in a distributed fashion.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Studies on the association between time spent outdoors and the development of Parkinson's disease (PD) are lacking, and whether this relationship differs in different subgroups (age, sex) remains unclear. OBJECTIVE We here examined the association between time spent outdoors and the incidence of PD in different seasons. METHODS This study included 329,359 participants from the UK Biobank. Data regarding hours spent outdoors during a typical day were obtained through questionnaires. Cox proportional hazard regression models were used to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) for the association between exposure to outdoors duration and PD incidence. Restricted cubic spline was used to explore the potential nonlinear relationship between time spent outdoors and PD risk. To explore the potential mechanisms of time spent outdoors effecting the risk of PD incidence, their association with serum vitamin D was further analysed separately. RESULTS During a median follow-up of 13.57 years, 2,238 participants developed PD. In summer, time spent outdoors > 5.0 h/day was associated with a reduced PD risk compared with ≤ 2.0 h/day (HR = 0.84, 95% CI, 0.74-0.95). In winter too, time spent outdoors > 2.0 h/day was also associated with a reduced PD risk compared with ≤ 1.0 h/day (HR = 0.85, 95% CI, 0.76-0.94). For annual average time spent outdoors, participants who went outdoors for more than 3.5 h/day had a reduced PD risk than those who went outdoors for ≤ 1.5 h/day (HR = 0.85, 95% CI, 0.75-0.96). Additionally, sex and age differences were observed in the association between time spent outdoors and the PD risk. Moreover, Time spent outdoors was observed to be positively associated with serum vitamin D levels. Compared with serum vitamin D-deficient participants, the risk of PD was reduced by 15% in the sufficient participants. CONCLUSION In the total population, higher time spent outdoors was linked to a reduced PD risk. However, this association may vary among different age or sex groups.

Abstract
Ginseng black spot, caused by Alternaria panax, is one of the most common diseases of Panax ginseng, which usually causes serious yield loss of ginseng plants. However, the pathogenic mechanism of A. panax has not been clarified clearly. Mycotoxins produced by phytopathogens play an important role in the process of infection. Previous study reported that dibutyl phthalate (DBP) identified from the metabolites of A. panax is a potent mycotoxin against P. ginseng. However, more evidence suggests that DBP is one of the constituents of plasticisers. To identify mycotoxins from A. panax and evaluate their phytotoxicity on the leaves of P. ginseng, different chromatographic, spectral and bioassay-guided methods were used together in this report. As a result, tyrosol (1), 3-hydroxy-3-(4-methoxyphenyl) propanoic acid (2), and 3-benzylpiperazine-2,5-dione (3) were isolated and characterised from the extract of A. panax, in which compounds 1 and 2 showed phytotoxic activity on ginseng leaves. Furthermore, DBP was confirmed to come from the residue of ethyl acetate through UPLC-MS/MS analysis, and displayed no phytotoxicity on ginseng leaves based on biological experiments. The results in this report first revealed that tyrosol (1), and 3-hydroxy-3-(4-methoxyphenyl) propanoic acid (2) not DBP were the potent mycotoxins of A. panax.

Abstract
Background The course of impulse control disorders (ICD) varies in the early stage of Parkinson's disease (PD). Aim We aimed to delineate the association between the evolution pattern of ICD and the progression of PD. Methods A total of 321 de novo PD patients from the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative database were included. Patients were followed up for a mean of 6.8 years and were classified into different groups according to the evolution patterns of ICD. Disease progression was compared among groups using survival analysis, in which the endpoint was defined as progression to Hoehn and Yahr stage 3 or higher for motor progression and progression to mild cognitive impairment for cognitive decline. In the fourth year of follow-up, four types of ICD evolution patterns were identified: (1) non-ICD-stable (68.2%), a patient who is consistently free of ICD; (2) late-ICD (14.6%), ICD developed during the follow-up of patients; (3) ICD-stable (11.5%), patients showed persistent ICD; and (4) ICD-reversion (5.6%), baseline ICD disappeared during the follow-up of patients with ICD. Results The ICD-reversion type shows daily life non-motor symptoms [Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) part I], daily life motor symptoms (MDS-UPDRS part II), rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder, and anxiety symptoms has a greater impact. PD patients with different ICD evolution patterns had different changes in white matter microstructure at the onset of the disease. Those relevant brain regions are involved in ICD and non-motor functions. Conclusion Four early ICD evolution patterns are identified in de novo PD, with different prognoses and brain white matter microstructural damage patterns, and they may predict motor progression and cognitive decline in PD patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is a common form of chronic glomerulonephritis. Currently, IgAN is one of the main causes of chronic renal failure in China; its prognosis varies greatly between patients, with renal function at the time of diagnosis and prognosis being strongly correlated. Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is a drug with a good immunomodulatory effect and is commonly used clinically. However, its effects in IgAN have not yet been clearly demonstrated. Therefore, herein, we retrospectively compared the effectiveness and safety of prednisone alone or combined with MMF for the treatment of primary IgAN with moderate-to-severe renal impairment. AIM To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of prednisone and MMF in treating IgAN with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction. METHODS Between January 2011 and December 2020, 200 patients with moderate-to-severe IgAN were included in this study, all of whom were admitted to Wuxi People's Hospital affiliated with Nanjing Medical University. All patients underwent a renal puncture biopsy, which revealed primary IgAN with a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of 30-60 mL/min. The patients were divided into a glucocorticoid therapy group (GTG) and an immunosuppressive therapy group (ITG) according to the different treatment regimens, with 100 patients in each group. Based on general treatments, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors/ angiotensin receptor blockers, patients in the GTG were administered prednisone 0.5-0.8 mg/ (kg·d-1) for 4-8 wk, which was reduced by 5 mg every two weeks until the maintenance(30 mg/d) dose was reached and maintained for 12 mo. In the ITG, MMF was administered at 1.0 g/d for 6-12 mo, followed by a maintenance dosage of 0.5 g/d for 12 mo. Age, sex, blood pressure, 24-h urinary egg white measurement, serum creatinine (Scr), blood uric acid, blood albumin, blood potassium (K), hemoglobin, GFR, alanine aminotransferase, total cholesterol (T-CHO), fasting blood glucose, and body mass index were recorded. The 24-h urinary protein, Scr, and GFR levels were recorded 3, 6, 9, and 12 mo after treatment. Follow-up data were also collected. RESULTS No discernible differences existed between the two groups in terms of age, sex, blood pressure, creatinine, 24-h urinary protein level, GFR, or other biochemical indicators at the time of enrollment. Both regimens significantly reduced the 24-h urinary protein quantitation and stabilized renal function. Nine months after treatment, the 24-h urinary protein and Scr of the ITG decreased more significantly than those of the GTG. By the 12th month of treatment, the 24-h urinary protein and Scr in both groups continued to decrease compared to those by the 9th month. In addition, the overall response rate in the ITG was significantly higher than that in the GTG. The occurrence of side effects did not vary significantly between the two regimens; however, endpoint events were significantly more common in the GTG than in the ITG. The follow-up time for the GTG was noticeably lower than that for the ITG. CONCLUSION Prednisone combined with MMF was effective for the treatment of IgAN with moderate-to-severe renal dysfunction.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the potential pathogenesis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) based on the HIF-1α/ACLY signaling pathway, as well as to provide new ideas for the treatment of ccRCC. Methods: Seventy-eight ccRCC cases diagnosed at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, Suzhou, China were collected. The VHL mutation was examined using exon sequencing. The expression of HIF-1α/ACLY in VHL-mutated ccRCC was evaluated using immunohistochemical staining and further validated in VHL-mutated ccRCC cell lines (786-O, A498, UM-RC-2, SNU-333, and Caki-2) using Western blot. The mRNA and protein levels of ACLY were detected using real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot after overexpression or interference with HIF-1α in ccRCC cell lines. HeLa cells were treated with CoCl2 and hypoxia (1%O2) to activate HIF-1α and then subject to the detection of the ACLY mRNA and protein levels. The potential molecular mechanism of HIF-1α-induced ACLY activation was explored through JASPAR database combined with chromatin immunoprecipitation assay (ChIP) and luciferase reporter gene assay. The effect of HIF-1α/ACLY regulation axis on lipid accumulation was detected using BODIPY staining and other cell biological techniques. The expression of ACLY was compared between patients with ccRCC and those with benign lesions, and the feasibility of ACLY as a prognostic indicator for ccRCC was explored through survival analysis. Results: Exon sequencing revealed that 55 (70.5%) of the 78 ccRCC patients harbored a VHL inactivation mutation, and HIF-1α expression was associated with ACLY protein levels. The protein levels of ACLY and HIF-1α in ccRCC cell lines carrying VHL mutation were also correlated to various degrees. Overexpression of HIF-1α in A498 cells increased the mRNA and protein levels of ACLY, and knockdown of HIF-1α in Caki-2 cells inhibited the mRNA and protein levels of ACLY (P<0.001 for all). CoCl2 and hypoxia treatment significantly increased the mRNA and protein levels of ACLY by activating HIF-1α (P<0.001 for all). The quantification of transcriptional activity of luciferase reporter gene and ChIP-qPCR results suggested that HIF-1α could directly bind to ACLY promoter region to transcriptionally activate ACLY expression and increase ACLY protein level (P<0.001 for all). The results of BODIPY staining suggested that the content of free fatty acids in cell lines was associated with the levels of HIF-1α and ACLY. The depletion of HIF-1α could effectively reduce the accumulation of lipid in cells, while the overexpression of ACLY could reverse this process. At the same time, cell function experiments showed that the proliferation rate of ccRCC cells with HIF-1α knockdown was significantly decreased, and overexpression of ACLY could restore proliferation of these tumor cells (P<0.001). Survival analysis further showed that compared with the ccRCC patients with low ACLY expression, the ccRCC patients with high ACLY expression had a poorer prognosis and a shorter median survival (P<0.001). Conclusions: VHL mutation-mediated HIF-1α overexpression in ccRCC promotes lipid synthesis and tumor progression by activating ACLY. Targeting the HIF-1α/ACLY signaling axis may provide a theoretical basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of ccRCC.

Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of the study was to investigate ultrasound's diagnostic capabilities for infant respiratory distress syndrome. Retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical information of 96 newborns with respiratory distress syndrome who were treated at our hospital between July 2015 and October 2017. The patients were split into the mild group (n = 55) and the severe group based on the findings of the chest x-ray examinations (n = 41). All neonates underwent an ultrasound examination at baseline, 12 hours after treatment and 24 hours after treatment of pulmonary surfactant (PS). Between the 2 groups, ultrasonographic characteristics and imaging scores were compared between infants with and without PS treatment. When compared with the severe group, the ultrasound score in the mild group was lower ( P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in ultrasound score between the PS treatment group and the non-PS treatment group ( P > 0.05). At each time point after treatment, the ultrasonography score of the non-PS treatment group was greater than that of the PS treatment group ( P < 0.05). Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome severity may be accurately assessed using ultrasound technology. Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effect of miRNAs involving oxidative stress response in doxorubicin (DOX)-induced cardiotoxicity based on the data from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and experimental results via integrated bioinformatics analysis. MiRNA expression profiles of DOX-induced cardiotoxicity in rat myocardial tissues and adult rat cardiomyocytes (ARC) were extracted from GEO datasets (GSE36239). Differential expression miRNA (DEMs) were separately captured in rat myocardial tissues and in ARC, and intersected between rat myocardial tissues and ARC via Venny 2.1. Subsequently, Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway (KEGG) analyzed 46 target genes of miR-143, one of 6 DEMs, and HIF-1 and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway were significantly enriched. Further experimental results showed DOX-induced oxidative stress downregulated the expression of miR-143, and then promoted target gene Bbc3 expression and H9c2 apoptosis, the intervention of phosphocreatine (PCr) or N-acetyl-L-cystine (NAC) alleviated oxidative stress, apoptosis and Bbc3 expression, upregulated miR-143 in DOX-induced cardiotoxicity in vivo and in vitro. Our findings elucidated the regulatory network between miR-143 and oxidative stress in DOX-induced cardiotoxicity, and might unveiled a potential biomarker and molecular mechanisms, which could be helpful to the diagnosis and treatment of DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.

Abstract
ABSTRACTObjectives: High reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels lead to cell death, and the testes are among the most vulnerable organs to oxidative damage. Rg1, an active ingredient extracted from the natural medicine ginseng, has potential anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiapoptotic properties. Our previous studies showed that Rg1 can effectively improve spermatogenic function in mice, but the specific mechanism remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Rg1 on oxidative stress and spermatogonium apoptosis in D-gal-induced testicular toxicity and elucidate the associated mechanism.Methods: Male C57BL/6 mice at 6-8 weeks of age were intraperitoneally injected with D-gal (200 mg/kg) for 42 days to establish a testicular injury model, and on day 16, 40 mg/kg Rg1-rich saline was injected intraperitoneally. Concurrently, we established an in vitro model of D-gal-damaged spermatogonia, which was treated with Rg1.Results: We found that treatment with the ginsenoside Rg1 reduced D-gal-induced oxidative stress and spermatogonium apoptosis in vivo and in vitro. Mechanistically, we found that Rg1 activated Akt/bad signaling and reduced D-gal-induced spermatogonium apoptosis.Discussion: We provide evidence showing that the antioxidant effect of Rg1 is mediated by the Akt/GSK-3β/NRF2 axis. Based on these findings, we consider Rg1 a potential treatment for testicular oxidative damage.

Abstract
B-lymphocytopenia among myelosuppression is the most intractable side effect of chemotherapy. Here, we investigated ways to alleviate 5-fluorouracil-caused stress hematopoietic impairment. We found that intraperitoneally injected ASP (Angelica sinensis polysaccharides) (100 mg/kg per day), one main active ingredient of Angelica sinensis, for consecutive 7 days, significantly recovered mouse bone marrow pro-B and pre-B cells, reversed the capacity of CFU-PreB colony forming, thus alleviating B cell reduction in the spleen and peripheral blood, as well as ameliorating immunoglobin from spleen and serum. The mechanism is related to the protective effects of ASP on IL-7 producing cells, including perivascular Leptin+ and CXCL12+ mesenchymal stem and progenitor cells (MSPCs), thus promoting IL-7 production, and activating IL-7R-mediated STAT5, PI3K-AKT signaling, including survival signals and EBF1, PAX5 transcription factor expression. Additionally, ASP's IL-7 promoting effect was demonstrated to be associated with maintaining osteogenesis/adipogenesis balance of MSPCs via the NRF2 antioxidant pathway. Collectively, our findings indicate that ASP reverse stress B-lymphocytopenia via improving Nrf2 signaling, promoting IL-7 production in MSPCs, and subsequently maintaining survival, proliferation, and differentiation of B cell progenitors, which may represent a promising therapeutic strategy.

Abstract
In recent years, the exploration of natural compounds possessing both immunostimulatory and antiviral activities has attracted growing attention in aquaculture research. Consequently, the pursuit of identifying natural products exhibiting anti-SVCV potential as immunostimulants holds significant promise, offering a pathway to mitigate the economic ramifications inflicted by SVCV outbreaks in aquaculture settings. Among them, rhein emerges as a particularly compelling contender. Boasting a widespread distribution, well-established extraction methods, and multiple biological activities, it has exhibited the capacity to enhance the antiviral activity of host cells in vitro by blocking the viral internalization process, with a peak inhibition rate of 44.0%. Based on this intervention, rhein inhibited apoptosis and mitochondrial damage triggered by SVCV infection, ultimately producing a significant antiviral effect. Moving beyond the laboratory setting, rhein's efficacy translates effectively into in vivo scenarios. It has demonstrated substantial antiviral potency by increasing the expression of antiviral-related genes, most notably, retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I), interferon-φ (IFN-φ) and IFN-stimulated gene product 15 (ISG15). In concert with this genetic modulation, rhein efficiently reduces the viral load, precipitating a consequential enhancement in the survival rate of SVCV-infected fish, elevating it to an encouraging 16%. In conclusion, the outcomes of our investigation offer a compelling testament to rhein's potential as a valuable immunomodulator in the battle against SVCV infections in aquaculture, and the remarkable attributes exhibited by rhein underscore its viability for future commercial deployment.

Abstract
With the ageing of society's population, neurodegenerative diseases have become an important factor affecting the quality of life and mortality in the elderly. Since its physiopathological processes are complex and the authorized medications have recently been shown to have several adverse effects, the development of safe and efficient medications is urgently needed. In this study, we looked at how ginsenoside Rg1 works to postpone neural stem cell ageing and brain ageing, giving it a solid scientific foundation for use as a therapeutic therapy for neurodegenerative diseases.

Abstract
Allicin is a kind of natural antimicrobial active substance, but its water solubility is poor, and it is easy to degrade. In order to improve the stability and bioavailability of allicin, allicin-zein composite nanoparticles (Al-Ze) were prepared by the combination method of antisolvent precipitation and electrostatic deposition, and their characteristic parameters, such as average particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), and ζ-potential, were analyzed. Then, Al-Ze was used as the delivery carrier for the active substance (allicin), and gelatin with good film-forming properties was selected as the film-forming matrix to prepare Al-Ze gelatin films. The optical properties, mechanical properties, and characterization parameters were used to analyze the prepared composite materials; the results confirmed that Al-Ze gelatin film has good mechanical properties and barrier properties. The prepared film was applied to the storage of cold, fresh beef, and the quality change of beef was monitored at 4 °C. The results showed that Al-Ze gelatin film could effectively delay the quality deterioration of beef. This paper provides a new idea and data support for the application of Al-Ze gelatin film in meat storage and fresh-keeping, and offers new insight for the promotion and application of allicin in the food industry.

Abstract
To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of dupilumab in the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in China. A small sample self-controlled study before and after treatment was conducted to retrospective analysis patients with moderate to severe AD treated with dupilumab in the department of dermatology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from July 2020 to March 2022. Dupilumab 600 mg was injected subcutaneously at week 0, and then 300 mg was injected subcutaneously every 2 weeks. The condition was evaluated by SCORAD(severity scoring of atopic dermatitis), NRS(numerical rating scale), DLQI(dermatology life quality index) and POEM(patient-oriented eczema measure). The improvement of SCORAD, NRS, DLQI and POEM was analyzed by paired t test and non-parametric paired Wilcoxon. The results showed that a total of 67 patients with moderate to severe AD received dupilumab treatment, of which 41 patients (the course of treatment was more than 6 weeks) had reduced the severity of skin lesions, improved quality of life and reduced pruritus. A total of 23 patients completed 16 weeks of treatment. At 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks, SCORAD, NRS, DLQI and POEM decreased compared with the baseline, and the differences were statistically significant. In the 16th week, 100%(23 patients), 91.3%(21 patients), 34.8%(8 patients) and 8.7%(2 patients) of 23 patients reached SCORAD30, SCORAD50, SCORAD70, and SCORAD90 statuses, respectively. There were 82.6%(19 patients), 95.7%(22 patients) and 95.7%(22 patients) of 23 patients with NRS, DLQI and POEM improved by≥4 points compared with baseline. Twelve patients with AD who continued to receive dupilumab after 16 weeks showed further improvement in skin lesions. The adverse events were conjunctivitis and injection site reaction. In conclusion, dupilumab is an effective and safe treatment for moderate and severe AD. However, the longer-term efficacy and safety require further studies involving larger sample sizes and a longer follow-up time.

Abstract
Entecavir (ETV) and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) are equally recommended as first-line treatments for antiviral treatment-naïve (ART-naïve) chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients by practice guidelines because of their similarly high antiviral efficacy and low resistance rate. However, whether one is superior to the other in terms of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prevention is currently largely controversial. We aimed to identify and synthesize these existing studies regarding the HCC risk of these two highly potent antivirals in treatment-naïve CHB patients. PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library were searched for studies between January 1, 2012 and June 25, 2022. These studies used ETV monotherapy and/or TDF monotherapy to treat ART-naïve CHB patients and reported the incidence of HCC. The extracted data were analyzed using a DerSimonian-Laird random-effects models. The HCC incidence difference was expressed as hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (95% CI). A total of 17 studies with 90,897 ART-naïve CHB patients (ETV = 60,980 vs TDF = 29,917) were included in this meta-analysis. Compared with ETV, TDF was associated with a significant lower cumulative incidence of HCC (HR 0.66; 95% CI 0.56-0.76). No significant heterogeneity or publication bias was found among the included studies (I2 = 48.1%, Begg's p = 0.363 and Egger's p = 0.748). TDF is associated with a lower risk of HCC compared with entecavir in ART-naïve CHB patients. The results suggest that TDF may be a better option for ART-naïve CHB patients with high HCC risks.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) To observe the efficacy and safety of local radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy ± bevacizumab in the treatment of patients with advanced or recurrent metastatic cervical cancer. MATERIALS/METHODS A total of 53 patients with advanced and recurrent metastatic cervical cancer who had received local radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy ± bevacizumab in Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Guizhou Medical University from July 2018 to October 2021 were collected. The recurrence types included 21 patients of pelvic recurrence, 7 patients of distant metastasis, 14 patients of complex pelvic recurrence and distant metastasis, and 11 patients of advanced stage (initial diagnosis stage IVB). The primary endpoints were objective response rate (ORR) and disease control rate (DCR). The secondary endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS) and incidence of adverse reactions. RESULTS (1) Complete response (CR) was achieved in 4 patients (7.5%), partial response (PR) in 34 patients (64.2%), stable disease (SD) in 12 patients (22.6%), and disease progression (PD) in 3 patients (5.7%), ORR was 71.7%, DCR was 94.3%. (2) The follow-up time was 5.3 to 45.7 months, the median OS was 29.3 months, the median PFS was 15.7 months, the one-year and two-year OS were 83.0% and 59.2%, and the 1-year and two-year PFS were 62.2% and 34.4%. (3) Recurrence type, tumor size at the time of recurrence, and efficacy after radiotherapy were significant factors for PFS and OS rates in multivariate analysis. (4) The main adverse reactions were myelosuppression, gastrointestinal reaction and urinary reaction. Grade IV leukopenia occurred at 13.2%, grade IV neutropenia at 11.3%, grade IV thrombocytopenia at 15.1%, and grade IV anemia at 5.7%, all of which were tolerable. The gastrointestinal and urinary reactions were mainly grade I-II, and the incidence of vesical or rectovaginal fistulas was about 7.5% (2 patients had rectovaginal fistulas and 2 patients had vesto-vaginal fistulas). CONCLUSION Local radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy ± bevacizumab can improve the efficacy and survival of patients with advanced and recurrent metastatic cervical cancer. Adverse reactions are tolerable and may provide survival benefits in these patients.

Abstract
In humans, teeth are replaced only once, and the successional dental lamina (SDL) of the permanent tooth is maintained in a quiescent state until adolescence. Recently, we showed that biomechanical stress generated by the rapid growth of the deciduous tooth inhibits SDL development via integrin β1-RUNX2 signaling at embryonic day 60 (E60) in miniature pigs. However, the mechanism by which RUNX2 regulates SDL initiation within the SDL stem cell niche remains unclear. In the current study, we transcriptionally profiled single cells from SDL and surrounding mesenchyme at E60 and identified the landscape of cellular heterogeneity. We then identified a specific fibroblast subtype in the dental follicle mesenchyme between the deciduous tooth and the SDL of the permanent tooth (DFDP), which constitutes the inner part of the niche (deciduous tooth side). Compared with traditional dental follicle cells, the specific expression profile of DFDP was identified and found to be related to biomechanical stress. Subsequently, we found that RUNX2 could bind to the enhancer regions of Fbln1 (gene of fibulin-1), one of the marker genes for DFDP. Through gain- and loss-of-function experiments, we proved that the biomechanical stress-mediated RUNX2-fibulin-1 axis inhibits the initiation of SDL by maintaining SDL niche homeostasis.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Proton pencil beam scanning (PBS) delivery sequence varies a lot among institutions due to the differences in vendors, machine types, and beamline configurations, which impacts PBS interplay effects and treatment delivery time estimation. This study aims to develop an independent experimental approach to predict the spot scanning time parameters for a clinical superconducting cyclotron proton therapy machine. MATERIALS/METHODS This independent experimental approach employed an open-air parallel-plate detector with a temporal resolution of 0.05ms. A series of spot, energy, and dose rate patterns were designed and delivered, including (1) Spot switching time (SSWT) under different spot spacing for IEC-X, IEC-Y directions and diagonal direction (traveling in both X and Y direction) for three energy layers (110, 170 and 230 MeV); The Wilcoxon test is used to validate the prediction of SSWT along the diagonal direction. (2) Energy layer switching time (ELST) with different descending energy gaps for a fixed initial energy and different initial energies for a fixed descending energy gap. (3) Dose rate (MU/min) are measured for different minimum-MU-per-energy-layer (MMPEL), which are compared with the previous publication. RESULTS A SSWT jump at 10mm (can be customized) spot spacing is observed because of triggering the machine's "raster mode" threshold. Discontinuous two variable piecewise linear functions were used to fit the SSWT in X/Y for spot spacing and energy. SSWT in X/Y is increasing as spot spacing and energy increase. SSWT in the diagonal direction is determined by the time either in the x-direction or y-direction, whichever takes longer (see Table 1 for one example of validations). ELST is linear depending on descending energy gap. The dose rate dependence on MMPEL is confirmed with previous publications of a similar type of machine. CONCLUSION The study provided the first independent quantitative experimental modeling of the beam delivery time parameters without any information from vendors. Such machine-specific delivery sequence models could pave the foundation of precise interplay effect evaluation for clinical decision-making.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) To investigate the significance of chemoradiotherapy on regulatory T (Treg) cells, CD8 / Treg ratio, squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC), PD1, and CTLA-4 in the peripheral blood of cervical cancer (CC)patients. MATERIALS/METHODS A retrospective study was performed 56 cervical cancer patients treated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy from September 06, 2019 to April 19, 2021 were selected, in patients who underwent surgery. Flow cytometry was used to determine the levels of regulatory T cells, CD8 / Treg ratio, squamous cell carcinoma antigen, PD1, and CTLA-4 in the peripheral blood of patients before and after concurrent therapy, Differences in relative level values before and after treatment were calculated using statistical protocols such as the paired samples t-test. RESULTS The proportion of CD4+CD25+CD127low Treg in CD4+T cells was (15.96±4.29) % in cervical cancer patients and (9.76±4.21) % in healthy controls, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). In different age groups, Treg, CD8 levels, CD4/CD8 ratio and CD8/Treg ratio before and after radiotherapy and chemotherapy had no significant relationship with age and pathological types (P > 0.05), but CD8/Treg ratio was higher in patients with adenocarcinoma than in patients with squamous cell carcinoma after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and the difference was statistically significant (Z = -2.076 P = 0.038). For postoperative patients, CD8 levels were lower before and after chemoradiotherapy than after chemoradiotherapy (T = -2.320 P = 0.020). In terms of PD1, regardless of age, pathological type, the level of PD1 after radiotherapy and chemotherapy was higher than that before chemotherapy, and the difference was statistically significant. The level of adenocarcinoma (53.50±10.16) % was significantly higher than that of squamous carcinoma (43.72±11.89) % (T = -2.609 P = 0.011). The PD1 level of patients with cervical cancer radical resection (41.64±13.29) % was lower than that of patients without cervical cancer radical resection (46.84±10.61) %, the difference was statistically significant (T = 2.187 P = 0.031). The PD1 level of patients without pelvic lymph node metastasis (48.84±10.04) was significantly higher than that of patients with pelvic lymph node metastasis (42.96±10.85), and the difference was statistically significant (T = -2.019 P = 0.049), There were no significant differences in vascular positivity, invasion depth, stump positivity, pelvic lymph node positivity and Treg level, CD8 level, CTLA4 level, SCC, CD4/CD8 ratio, CD8/Treg ratio (ALL P > 0.05). CONCLUSION The level of Treg cells in patients with cervical cancer is significantly higher than that in healthy people, and it does not decrease immediately after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Peripheral blood Treg, PD1, CD8 and CD8/Treg can reflect the immune function of the body, which may provide a certain reference for immunotherapy.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) The esophageal cancer ranked 7th in the morbidity of malignant cancer and the 6th contributed to carcinoma deaths. Most patients are diagnosed of advanced stage at first visiting. The 5-year survival rate of unresectable esophageal cancer is about 20% after the standard treatment of concurrent chemo-radiotherapy. Nimotuzumab, a humanized anti-EGFR antibody, has shown good efficacy and low toxicity in epithelial tumors. This two-center, real-world study evaluated the efficacy and safety of nimotuzumab combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in unresectable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). MATERIALS/METHODS Totally 503 eligible unresectable ESCC patients from Jan 2014 to Dec 2020 were included. 1:2 nearest neighbor propensity score matching (PSM) was performed to match the Nimo group (nimotuzumab plus concurrent chemo-radiotherapy) and CRT group (concurrent chemo-radiotherapy), and the covariates included age, gender, tumor location, lesion length, TNM stage, clinical stage, and radiotherapy dose. The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS). The secondary endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), and disease control rate (DCR). RESULTS A total of 61 patients were in Nimo group which received nimotuzumab (200 mg/w, 4-6 weeks) combined with concurrent chemo-radiotherapy (chemotherapy: S-1/FP/TP/DP for 2-4 cycles; radiotherapy: 2DRT,3D-CRT or IMRT, 50-70 Gy in 25-35 fractions) and 107 patients in CRT group only received concurrent chemo-radiotherapy. The baseline characteristics were well balanced between the two groups. The efficacy of Nimo group was better than that of CRT group. The ORR was 85.2% vs. 71.0%, (P=0.037), the DCR was 98.4% vs. 91.6%, (P>0.05). The median PFS was 28.07 months vs. 19.54 months, and the 1-, 3- and 5-year PFS rates were 78.2% vs. 72.9%, 37.5% vs. 28.3%, and 29.1% vs. 21.3%, respectively (HR: 0.6860, 95% CI: 0.4902-0.9600, P=0.034). The median OS was 34.93 months vs. 24.30 months and the 1-, 3- and 5-year OS rates were 88.5% vs. 81.3%, 46.8% vs. 35.2% and 37.4% vs. 28.0%, respectively (HR: 0.6701, 95% CI: 0.4792-0.9372, P=0.024). The adverse events including radiation esophagitis, radiation pneumonitis, bone marrow suppression, nausea, vomiting, and rash were no significantly different between the two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSION Nimotuzumab combined with concurrent chemo-radiotherapy improved the ORR, and prolonged PFS and OS in unresectable ESCC patients with a good tolerance.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) The proportion of adenocarcinoma in cervical cancer gradually increased and presented a younger trend. The previous pathological classification of cervical adenocarcinoma is difficult to provide reference for clinical treatment. In recent years, Silva classification, a new pathologic system for cervical adenocarcinoma, has been confirmed to be suitable for HPV-associated adenocarcinoma (HPVA), and has shown certain clinical application value in subsequent studies. Therefore, this study will retrospectively analyze the distribution of Silva typing system in patients with HPVA under standard treatment mode and its relationship with prognosis and survival. MATERIALS/METHODS From January 2010 to September 2021, 124 cervical adenocarcinoma patients with HPVA were retrospectively included, who underwent radical resection of cervical cancer. The HE staining sections of the patients were divided into SilvaA, SilvaB, and SilvaC types according to the Silva typing system. Kaplan-Meier calculation was used for single-factor analysis, and COX stepwise regression model was used for multi-factor analysis. RESULTS Of the 124 patients with HPVA who could be graded according to the Silva system, 16 (12.9%, 16/124) were SilvaA, 27 (21.7%, 27/124) SilvaB, and 81 (65.4%, 81/124) SilvaC. In Silva classification, FIGO staging of Silva A and B was stage I. And FIGO staging of Silva C was more significantly later than the staging of Silva A and B. All lymph node metastases and paruterine infiltrates were found only in Silva C. In addition, the patients with Silva C large mass accounted for a higher proportion (41.7%). SilvaA type cervical adenocarcinoma patients were in a survival state by the end of follow-up. Among Silva B, 3 patients died due to tumor, and the 5-year OS rate were 91.3%. Among SilvaC, 15 patients died due to tumor, and the 5-year OS rate were 76.5%. FIGO stage and lymph node invasion were the influencing factors for survival and prognosis of Silva classification (P <0.05). FIGO stage, tumor size, lymph node invasion, and paralegal invasion were the influencing factors for survival and prognosis of SilvaC patients (P <0.05). CONCLUSION Silva model classification system combined with clinicopathological features has certain clinical value for the prognostic guidance of HPVA patients. Among Silva classification, SilvaC had the worst prognosis. Late FIGO stage, lymph node metastasis, and paralegal infiltration are the influencing factors for survival and prognosis of SilvaC type.

Abstract
A major side effect of reperfusion therapy following myocardial infarction is myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI). Electroacupuncture preconditioning (EA-pre) has a long history in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Here, we demonstrate how EA-pre attenuates MIRI by affecting the phagocytosis of neuronal dendritic spines of microglia of the fastigial nucleus (FNmicroglia). We observed that EA-pre increased activity in FNGABA and then improved myocardial injury by inhibiting abnormal activities of glutaminergic neurons of the FN (FNGlu) during MIRI. Interestingly, we observed changes in the quantity and shape of FN microglia in mice treated with EA-pre and a decrease in the phagocytosis of FNGABA neuronal dendritic spines by microglia. Furthermore, the effects of improving MIRI were reversed when EA-pre mice were chemically activated by intra-FN lipopolysaccharide injection. Overall, our results provide new insight indicating that EA-pre regulates microglial engulfment capacity, thus promoting the improvement of cardiac sympathetic nervous disorder during MIRI.

Abstract
Introduction In recent years, the widespread shift toward online learning in higher education has led to a notable increase in the utilization of collaborative mobile-assisted language learning (MALL). However, the efficacy and implementation of MALL in college settings remain subjects of ongoing scholarly debate. To gain deeper insights into the experiences of Chinese college students with collaborative MALL and investigate factors that may influence their intentions for further adoption, this study proposed a comprehensive model that integrates the updated Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and flow theory. Methods The model aimed to assess the relationship between flow and various antecedents, including perceived cost, social influences, perceived mobility, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, which shape students' intentions to adopt collaborative MALL. A survey was conducted among a sample of 831 students from 32 provinces and autonomous regions. Results The data analysis revealed that while 73% of participants reported having experienced collaborative MALL, overall adoption levels among Chinese college students are still in its initiative stage of adoption. Furthermore, variations were observed in the experiences of students from different majors and level of education. Importantly, the assessment of the proposed Mobile Collaborative Language Learning (MCLL) Model demonstrated the significant role of flow in predicting the adoption of collaborative MALL among Chinese college students. Discussion The study concludes with suggestions for future research opportunities based on the research findings, aiming to enhance our understanding and application of collaborative MALL in higher education contexts.

Abstract
Polymeric materials that can actuate under the stimulation of environmental signals have attracted considerable attention in fields including artificial muscles, soft robotics, implantable devices, etc. To date, the improvement of shape-changing flexibility is mainly limited by their unchangeable shapes and structural and compositional distributions. In this work, we report a one-step treatment process to convert 2D poly(ethylene oxide)/sodium alginate/tannic acid thin films into 3D-shaped moisture- and NIR light-responsive actuators. Spatial surface wetting of the film leads to the release of residual stress generated in film formation in a gradient manner, which drives the wetted regions to bidirectionally bend. By controlling the position and bending amplitude of the wetted regions, designated 3D shapes can be obtained. Moreover, Fe3+ ions in the aqueous solution used for surface wetting can coordinate with carboxylate groups in sodium alginate chains to form a gradient cross-linking network. This gradient network can not only stabilize the resulting 3D shape but also render the film with moisture-responsive morphing behaviors. Fe3+ ions can also self-assemble with tannic acid molecules to form photothermal aggregates, making the film responsive to NIR light. We further show that films with versatile 3D shapes and different modes of deformation can be fabricated by a one-step treatment process. This strategy is convenient and extendable to develop 3D-shaped polymer actuators with flexible shape-changing behaviors.

Abstract
Objective To discuss the relationship between time in range (TIR) which is deprived of the FGMS and the risk of diabetic vascular complications and to provide a theoretical foundation for the clinical application of TIR and other FGMS-deprived indexes. Methods Patients with T2DM who wore the FGMS sensor continuously were enrolled. Relevant indexes such as TIR, time below range (TBR), time above range (TAR), a standard deviation of blood glucose (SDBG), coefficient of variation of blood glucose (CV), and mean amplitude of glycemic excursion (MAGE) generated by the FGMS were recorded, and the risk of diabetic vascular complications were followed up for one year. The TIR was measured by continuous glucose monitoring at baseline, and patients were grouped according to TIR every 20%. Finally, the Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to estimate the association of different levels of TIR with different rates of diabetic vascular complications. Results TIR was negatively correlated with HbA1C, CV, SDBG, and amplitude of glycemic excursion (MV), wherein, the lower the TIR, the higher the HbA1C, CV, SDBG, and MV. TIR in the diabetic microvascular complication was significantly lower than that in the non-microvascular complication group, and the difference was statistically significant. TIR <40% was identified as a risk factor for DN, DPN, and DR according to the risk assessment. The mean TAR in the DN group was significantly higher than that in the non-DN group. TAR, CV, SD, MAGE, and HbA1C in the DR group were significantly higher than those in the non-DR group. TAR, ABG, CV, SD, MAGE, and HbA1C in the DPN group were significantly higher than those in the non-DPN group. Conclusion The relationships between the TIR and the prevalence and risk of diabetic vascular complications and the HbA1C may be negative. Other CGM-deprived indexes such as CV and MV should be integrated into glycemic control and diabetes complication prediction.

Abstract
An integrated purification procedure through the LC-MS/MS-based molecular networking strategy combined with bioactive evaluation was first ushered for discovering bioactive ophiobolins from Bipolaris eleusines. Ophiobolins were mainly dispersed in five clusters, which were classified based on different ring systems and functional groups. Nine undescribed ophiobolins (1-6 and 9-11) and an undescribed natural product (8) along with two known analogs (7 and 12) were isolated in target. The undescribed structures were characterized by HR-ESI-MS, NMR spectra, and X-ray diffraction experiments. Compounds 3-12 exhibited strong phytotoxic effects on green foxtails by producing visible lesions, and compounds 1-10 and 12 displayed different levels of cytotoxic activities against cancer cell lines B16, Hep G2, and MCF-7, from which the possible structure-activity relationships were then suggested. The results have supported that bioactivity-guided molecular networking is an efficient strategy to expedite the discovery of undescribed bioactive natural products.

Abstract
As the concentration of microplastics/microspheres (MPs) in coastal and estuarine regions increases, the likelihood of disease outbreaks and epidemics also rises. Our study investigated the impact of polyvinyl chloride MPs (PVC-MPs) on white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infection in shrimp. The results revealed that PVC-MPs obviously increased WSSV replication in vivo, leading to a high mortality rate among the larvae and facilitating the horizontal transmission of WSSV. Furthermore, the data of WSSV loads detected together with qPCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, and flow cytometry approaches indicated that PVC-MPs could interact with the virus to prolong survival and maintain the virulence of WSSV at different temperatures and pH values. In terms of host resistance, metabolomics and transcriptomics analysis demonstrated that exposure to PVC-MPs upregulated metabolic concentrations and gene expressions associated with phospholipid metabolism that were associated with innate immunity responses. Particularly, PVC-MPs stimulated the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine (PC) and induced lipid peroxidation. The inhibition of PC on Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) translocation from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus reduces expression of the innate immunity genes (IFN-like genes Vago4 and Vago5) regulated by STING signaling pathways, resulting in a significant decrease in the shrimp's resistance to WSSV infection. Notably, a recovery operation in which the exposed larvae were transferred to a MPs-free aquatic environment led to decreased WSSV infectivity over time, indicating the restoration of antiviral properties in shrimp. Overall, these findings highlight that MPs promote shrimp susceptibility to WSSV in two aspects: host immune defense and viral virulence.

Abstract
Background Dexamethasone (DEX) exerts anti-inflammatory and osteogenic effects. Hydroxyapatite is commonly used in bone repair due to its osteoconductivity, osseointegration, and osteogenesis induction. Hollow hydroxyapatite (HHAM) is often used as a drug carrier. Objective This study aimed to investigate the histological responses of exposed dental pulp when dexamethasone-loaded nanohydroxyapatite microspheres (DHHAM) were used as a direct capping agent. Methods Cavities were created in the left maxillary first molar of Wistar rats and filled with Dycal, HHAM, and DHHAM. No drug was administered to the control group. The rats were sacrificed at 1, 2, and 4 weeks after the procedure. The molars were extracted for fixation, demineralization, dehydration, embedding, and sectioning. H&E staining was performed to detect the formation of reparative dentin. H&E and CD45 immunohistochemical staining were performed to detect pulp inflammation. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to assess the expressions of dentin matrix protein 1 (DMP-1), interleukin (IL)-6, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and IL-1β. Results The results of H&E and CD45 immunohistochemical staining showed that the degree of inflammation in the DHHAM group was less than that in the Control and HHAM groups at 1, 2, and 4 weeks after capping of the rat molar teeth (p<0.01). The H&E staining showed that the percentage of reparative dentin formed in the DHHAM group was higher than that in the Control, HHAM (p<0.001), and Dycal groups (p<0.01) at 1 and 2 weeks, and was significantly higher than that in the Control group (p<0.001) and the HHAM group (p<0.01) at 4 weeks. The immunohistochemical staining showed a lower range and intensity of expression of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α and high expression levels of DMP-1 in the DHHAM group at 1, 2, and 4 weeks after pulp capping relative to the Control group. Conclusions DHHAM significantly inhibited the progression of inflammation and promoted reparative dentin formation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Coffee is the most widely consumed psychostimulant worldwide. Emerging evidence indicates that coffee consumption habit significantly reduces the risk of developing Parkinson's disease (PD). However, the effect of coffee consumption on nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurodegeneration is still largely unknown. We therefore aim to investigate the role of coffee consumption in nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurodegeneration using dopamine transporter (DAT) imaging in PD and healthy controls (HC). METHODS A total of 138 PD patients and 75 HC with questionnaires about coffee consumption, and DAT scans were recruited from the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative cohort. Demographic, clinical, and striatal DAT characteristics were compared across subgroups of current, former, and never coffee consumers in PD and HC, respectively. Furthermore, partial correlation analyses were performed to determine whether there was a relationship between coffee cups consumed per day and striatal DAT characteristics in each striatal region. In addition, the factors that may have influenced the loss of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons were included in multiple linear regression analyses to identify significant contributing factors to DAT availability in each striatal region. RESULTS PD patients had lower DAT availability in each striatal region than HC (p < 0.001). In PD patients, there were significant differences in DAT availability in the caudate (p = 0.008, Bonferroni corrected) across three PD subgroups. Specifically, post hoc tests showed that current coffee consumers had significantly lower DAT availability in the caudate than former coffee consumers (p = 0.01) and never coffee consumers (p = 0.022). In HC, there were significant differences in DAT availability in the caudate (p = 0.031, Bonferroni uncorrected) across three HC subgroups. Specifically, post hoc tests showed that current coffee consumers had significantly lower DAT availability in the caudate than former coffee consumers (p = 0.022). Moreover, correlation analysis revealed that cups per day were negatively correlated with DAT availability in the caudate in current consumers of PD patients (r = - 0.219, p = 0.047). In addition, multiple linear regression analyses showed that current coffee consumption remained an independent predictor of decreased DAT availability in the caudate in PD patients and HC. CONCLUSIONS This study demonstrates that current coffee consumption is associated with decreased striatal DAT availability in the caudate. However, the effects of caffeine on striatal DAT may fade and disappear after quitting coffee consumption. TRIAL REGISTRATION ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01141023.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Meningioma is a common non-glial tumor of the brain. Extracranial meningiomas in the parapharyngeal space are especially rare. Herein we report a case of extracranial meningioma in the parapharyngeal space and give a comprehensive description of its complete clinical course and radiological findings, which may provide helpful information in the diagnosis and treatment of extracranial meningiomas in the parapharyngeal space. CASE PRESENTATION A 61-year-old man presented a slowly increased mass under the left ear without pain and numbness over one year. Ultrasound examination detected a hypoechoic uneven mass behind the left parotid gland with a clear boundary, and color Doppler flow imaging revealed blood flow signals within the mass. Unenhanced computed tomography (CT) of the craniofacial region revealed a homogenous soft tissue mass in the parapharyngeal space without calcification. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed that a homogenous soft tissue mass was hyperintense on T2-weighted image, hypointense on T1-weighted image, and obviously enhanced after contrast enhancement in the parapharyngeal space. Coronal MRI showed that the lesion originated from basicranial dura extending into parapharyngeal space through the left foramen ovale at the skull base. Finally, histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses confirmed the final diagnosis of extracranial meningiomas in the parapharyngeal space. CONCLUSION Extracranial meningiomas of the parapharyngeal space are rare and often pose a diagnostic challenge. Preoperative imaging examinations, especially CT and MRI, can aid in the accurate preoperative diagnosis, especially when intracranial extensions and dural tail signs are observed.

Abstract
Objective: To study the effects of cadmium chloride (CdCl(2)) exposure on testicular autophagy levels and blood-testis barrier integrity in prepubertal male SD rats and testicular sertoli (TM4) cells. Methods: In July 2021, 9 4-week-old male SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group (normal saline), low dose group (1 mg/kg·bw CdCl(2)) and high dose group (2 mg/kg·bw CdCl(2)), and were exposed with CdCl(2) by intrabitoneal injection. 24 h later, HE staining was used to observe the morphological changes of testis of rats, biological tracer was used to observe the integrity of blood-testis barrier, and the expression levels of microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 (LC3) -Ⅰ and LC3-Ⅱ in testicular tissue were detected. TM4 cells were treated with 0, 2.5, 5.0 and 10.0 μmol/L CdCl(2) for 24 h to detect the toxic effect of cadmium. The cells were divided into blank group (no exposure), exposure group (10.0 μmol/L CdCl(2)), experimental group[10.0 μmol/L CdCl(2)+60.0 μmol/L 3-methyladenine (3-MA) ] and inhibitor group (60.0 μmol/L 3-MA). After 24 h of treatment, Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression levels of LC3-Ⅱ, ubiquitin binding protein p62, tight junction protein ZO-1 and adhesion junction protein N-cadherin. Results: The morphology and structure of testicular tissue in the high dose group were obvious changed, including uneven distribution of seminiferous tubules, irregular shape, thinning of seminiferous epithelium, loose structure, disordered arrangement of cells, abnormal deep staining of nuclei and vacuoles of Sertoli cells. The results of biological tracer method showed that the integrity of blood-testis barrier was damaged in the low and high dose group. Western blot results showed that compared with control group, the expression levels of LC3-Ⅱ in testicular tissue of rats in low and high dose groups were increased, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the 0 μmol/L, after exposure to 5.0, 10.0 μmol/L CdCl(2), the expression levels of ZO-1 and N-cadherin in TM4 cells were significantly decreased, and the expression level of p62 and LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ were significantly increased, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the exposure group, the relative expression level of p62 and LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ in TM4 cells of the experimental group were significantly decreased, while the relative expression levels of ZO-1 and N-cadherin were significantly increased, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05) . Conclusion: The mechanism of the toxic effect of cadmium on the reproductive system of male SD rats may be related to the effect of the autophagy level of testicular tissue and the destruction of the blood-testis barrier integrity.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) pretreatment on cardiac function, sympathetic nerve activity, indexes of myocardial injury and GABAA receptor in fastigial nucleus in rats with myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI), and to explore the neuroregulatory mechanism of EA pretreatment in improving MIRI. METHODS A total of 60 male SD rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group, a model group, an EA group, an agonist group and an agonist+EA group, 12 rats in each group. The MIRI model was established by ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery. EA was applied at bilateral "Shenmen" (HT 7) and "Tongli" (HT 5) in the EA group and the agonist+EA group, with continuous wave, in frequency of 2 Hz and intensity of 1 mA, 30 min each time, once a day for 7 consecutive days. After intervention, the MIRI model was established. In the agonist group, the muscone (agonist of GABAA receptor, 1 g/L) was injected in fastigial nucleus for 7 consecutive days before modeling, 150 μL each time, once a day. In the agonist+EA group, the muscone was injected in fastigial nucleus 30 min before EA intervention. The data of electrocardiogram was collected by PowerLab standard Ⅱ lead, and ST segment displacement and heart rate variability (HRV) were analyzed; the serum levels of norepinephrine (NE), creatine kinase isoenzyme MB (CK-MB) and cardiac troponin I (cTnI) were detected by ELISA; the myocardial infarction area was measured by TTC staining; the morphology of myocardial tissue was observed by HE staining; the positive expression and mRNA expression of GABAA receptor in fastigial nucleus were detected by immunohistochemistry and real-time PCR. RESULTS Compared with the sham operation group, in the model group, ST segment displacement and ratio of low frequency to high frequency (LF/HF) of HRV were increased (P<0.01), HRV frequency domain analysis showed enhanced sympathetic nerve excitability, the serum levels of NE, CK-MB and cTnI were increased (P<0.01), the percentage of myocardial infarction area was increased (P<0.01), myocardial fiber was broken and interstitial edema was serious, the positive expression and mRNA expression of GABAA receptor in fastigial nucleus were increased (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, in the EA group, ST segment displacement and LF/HF ratio were decreased (P<0.01), HRV frequency domain analysis showed reduced sympathetic nerve excitability, the serum levels of NE, CK-MB and cTnI were decreased (P<0.01), the percentage of myocardial infarction area was decreased (P<0.01), myocardial fiber breakage and interstitial edema were lightened, the positive expression and mRNA expression of GABAA receptor in fastigial nucleus were decreased (P<0.01). Compared with the EA group, in the agonist group and the agonist+EA group, ST segment displacement and LF/HF ratio were increased (P<0.01), HRV frequency domain analysis showed enhanced sympathetic nerve excitability, the serum levels of NE, CK-MB and cTnI were increased (P<0.01), the percentage of myocardial infarction area was increased (P<0.01), myocardial fiber breakage and interstitial edema were aggravated, the positive expression and mRNA expression of GABAA receptor in fastigial nucleus were increased (P<0.01). CONCLUSION EA pretreatment can improve the myocardial injury in MIRI rats, and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of GABAA receptor expression in fastigial nucleus, thereby down-regulating the excitability of sympathetic nerve.

Abstract
This research uses social identity theory to propose that environmental social responsibility perceptions influence green commitment, and then influence pro-environmental behaviors, which are moderated by institutional pressure. Data were collected from 100 employees of technology firms in Taiwan, and the results support all hypotheses. This research chose technology firms as empirical data because Taiwan's technological level is known to the world, which can reduce sampling errors caused by the lack of environmental knowledge. Finally, this research not only advances the literature on sustainability issues in organizational management but also provides a paradigm to help firms implement pro-environmental behaviors to achieve competitive advantage and sustainable development goals.

Abstract
Polyploidy, which is common in plants, can confound taxon recognition and hence conservation assessments. In the taxonomically complex genus Rhododendron, 25 % of the over 1,300 taxa are considered under threat and 27 % Near Threatened or Data Deficient, with their taxonomy needing to be resolved urgently. Although ploidy levels of Rhododendron taxa range from diploid (2x) to dodecaploid (12x) according to previous reports, the extent of polyploidy across the genus has not been examined. We first summarized the taxonomic distribution of polyploids in the genus based on the literature. Then as a case study, we estimated ploidy levels of 47 taxa in subsection Maddenia (subgenus Rhododendron, section Rhododendron) using flow cytometry, together with verification of meiotic chromosome counts for representative taxa. The summary of reported ploidy in Rhododendron indicates that polyploidy is most common in subgenera Pentanthera and Rhododendron. In subsection Maddenia, all examined taxa are diploids except for the R. maddenii complex that shows a high ploidy variation (2-8x, 12x). We investigated ploidy level of 12 taxa in subsection Maddenia for the first time, and estimated genome sizes of two Rhododendron species. Knowledge of ploidy levels will inform phylogenetic analysis of unresolved species complexes. Overall, our study of subsection Maddenia provides a model for examining multiple issues including taxonomic complexity, ploidy variation and geographic distribution in relation to biodiversity conservation.

Abstract
Angelica Sinensis polysaccharide (ASP), the main active component of Angelica sinensis, possesses antioxidative and anti-apoptotic properties. In this study, we have investigated the antagonistic effect of ASP on 5-FU-induced injury of mouse spleen in vivo and splenocytes in vitro, and its possible mechanism. Our results showed that ASP inhibited 5-FU-induced decreases in spleen weight and organ index in mice, restored the number of peripheral blood leukocytes and lymphocytes, repaired spleen structure disorder and functional impairment, rescued serum IL-2, IL-6, and IFN-γ levels, and relieved 5-FU-induced mitochondrial swelling, reduced the oxidant accumulation including MDA and ROS, whereas increasing the activities of GSH, SOD and CAT. The mechanism may be related to ASP downregulation of Keap1 protein expression thus motivating the nuclear translocation of Nrf2. Furthermore, ASP alleviated the apoptosis of spleens in vivo and splenocytes in vitro, and reactivated PI3K / AKT signalling. In conclusion, the protective effect of ASP on spleens and splenocytes may be related to the reduction of oxidative stress and apoptosis via reactivation of Nrf2 and PI3K/AKT pathways. This study has provided a new protective agent for minimizing the spleen injury caused by 5-FU and a new idea for improving the prognosis of chemotherapy patients.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the role of nuclear factor E2 related factor 2 (Nrf2) / heme oxygenase (HO-1) signal pathway in electroacupuncture (EA) induced improvement of acute myocardial ischemia (AMI) and its relationship with ferroptosis in rats. METHODS Male SD rats were randomly and equally divided into sham operation, model, EA and EA+ML385 (inhibitor of Nrf2) groups (n=8). The rat model of AMI was established by ligating the descending anterior branch of the left coronary artery. EA (2 Hz/100 Hz) was applied to bilateral "Shenmen"(HT7) and "Tongli"(HT5) for 20 min, once daily for 7 days. The electrocardiogram (ECG) of standard Ⅱ (ECG ST) lead and heart rate (HR) in each group was recorded and analyzed before and after modeling and after treatment by using PowerLab physiological recorder system. Histopathological changes of myocardial tissue were observed by H.E. staining, and the ultrastructure of myocardiocytes of cardiac apical tissue was observed under transmission electron microscope. The contents of Fe2+ and glutathione (GSH) in the myocardial tissue were measured by chromato-metry. The protein expression levels of Nrf2, HO-1, glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), ferritin heavy chain polypeptide 1 (FTH1) and long chain acyl CoA synthase 4 (ACSL4) in the myocardial tissue were detected by Western blot. RESULTS Compared with the sham operation group, the HR, ECG ST, Fe2+ content, expression levels of Nrf2, HO-1, FTH1 and ACSL4 proteins in myocardial tissues were significantly increased (P<0.01), while GSH content and GPX4 protein expression considerably decreased (P<0.01) in the model group. Compared with the model group, both EA and EA+ML385 groups had an obvious decrease in HR, Fe2+ content, and ACSL4 levels (P<0.01), and an increase in the expression levels of GPX4 and FTH1 proteins (P<0.01), EA (rather than EA+ML385) effectively down-regulated ECG ST, and up-regulated GSH, Nrf2 and HO-1 (P<0.01), whereas EA+ML385 apparently down-regulated expression levels of Nrf2 and HO-1 (P<0.01). It shows that ML385 pronouncedly weaken the effects of EA in slowing down ECG ST and HR, down-regulating Fe2+ content and ACSL4 expression (P<0.01), up-regulating GSH content, Nrf2, HO-1, GPX4 and FTH1 expressions (P<0.01). H.E. staining showed disordered arrangement and hyperplasia of myocardiocytes, enlarged myocardial fiber gap, agglomerated and deeply stained myoplasma, and some broken myocardial fibers with irregular mass and local tissue fibrosis in the model group, which was relatively milder in both EA and EA+ML385 groups. Compared with the sham operation group, the model group showed decreased mitochondrial atrophy, increased membrane density, and disappearance or reduction of cristae in myocardial cells,which was improved in the EA group. CONCLUSION EA of HT7 and HT5 has a protective effect on ischemic myocardium in rats, which may be related to its effects in reducing oxidative stress by regulating Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway, and inhibiting "iron death" of myocardial cells.

Abstract
To establish functional circuitry, neurons settle down in a particular spatial domain by spacing their cell bodies, which requires proper positioning of the soma and establishing of a zone with unique connections. Deficits in this process are implicated in neurodevelopmental diseases. In this study, we examined the function of EphB6 in the development of cerebral cortex. Overexpression of EphB6 via in utero electroporation results in clumping of cortical neurons, while reducing its expression has no effect. In addition, overexpression of EphrinB2, a ligand of EphB6, also induces soma clumping in the cortex. Unexpectedly, the soma clumping phenotypes disappear when both of them are overexpressed in cortical neurons. The mutual inhibitory effect of EphB6/ EphrinB2 on preventing soma clumping is likely to be achieved via interaction of their specific domains. Thus, our results reveal a combinational role of EphrinB2/EphB6 overexpression in controlling soma spacing in cortical development.
