Abstract
We propose a novel visual SLAM method that integrates text objects tightly by treating them as semantic features via fully exploring their geometric and semantic prior. The text object is modeled as a texture-rich planar patch whose semantic meaning is extracted and updated on the fly for better data association. With the full exploration of locally planar characteristics and semantic meaning of text objects, the SLAM system becomes more accurate and robust even under challenging conditions such as image blurring, large viewpoint changes, and significant illumination variations (day and night). We tested our method in various scenes with the ground truth data. The results show that integrating texture features leads to a more superior SLAM system that can match images across day and night. The reconstructed semantic 3D text map could be useful for navigation and scene understanding in robotic and mixed reality applications.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) affects the metabolism of both the mother and fetus during and after pregnancy. Genetic factors are important in the pathogenesis of GDM, and associations vary by ethnicity. However, related studies about the relationship between the susceptibility genes and glucose traits remain limited in China. This study aimed to identify genes associated with GDM susceptibility in Chinese Han women and validate those findings using clinical data during pregnancy and postpartum period. METHODS A genome-wide association study (GWAS) of 398 Chinese Han women (199 each with and without GDM) was conducted and associations between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and glucose metabolism were identified by searching public databases. Relationships between filtered differential SNPs and glucose metabolism were verified using clinical data during pregnancy. The GDM group were followed up postpartum to evaluate the progression of glucose metabolism. RESULTS We identified five novel SNPs with genome-wide significant associations with GDM: rs62069863 in TRPV3 gene and rs2232016 in PRMT6 gene were positive correlated with 1 h plasma glucose (1hPG) and 2 h plasma glucose (2hPG), rs1112718 in HHEX/EXOC6 gene and rs10460009 in LPIN2 gene were positive associated with fasting plasma glucose, 1hPG and 2hPG, rs927316 in GLIS3 gene was negative correlated with 2hPG. Of the 166 GDM women followed up postpartum, rs62069863 in TRPV3 gene was positively associated with fasting insulin, homoeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance. CONCLUSIONS The variants of rs62069863 in TRPV3 gene, rs2232016 in PRMT6 gene, rs1112718 in HHEX/EXOC6 gene, rs927316 in GLIS3 gene, and rs10460009 in LPIN2 gene were newly-identified susceptibility loci for GDM in the Chinese Han population. TRPV3 was associated with worse insulin resistance postpartum. TRIAL REGISTRATION This study was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry. TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER ChiCTR2100043762. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the appropriate application of glycemic qualification rate (GQR) calculated by fingerstick blood glucose (BG) monitoring for patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) by analyzing the relationship between BG control and adverse pregnancy outcomes. METHODS Fingerstick Blood Glucose data during the second and third trimester of singleton pregnant women diagnosed with GDM were collected. GQR which is defined as the percentage of fingerstick BG values reaching the targets of BG control in a period of time was calculated. Patients were divided into three groups according to tertiles (tertile 1, GQR <56.25%; tertile 2, GQR 56.25-75%; and tertile 3, GQR ≥75%). Pregnant outcomes were compared among the three groups. Univariate analysis and logistic regression were performed to analyze the potential relationship between GQR and pregnancy outcomes. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were calculated to determine the cutoff values. We also explored that whether twice or three times monitoring per day would be adequate for GQR calculation, so we brought in two or three glucose measuring times per day to explore the relationship between new GQR and adverse outcomes. RESULTS A total of 311 patients diagnosed with GDM were analyzed. In univariate analysis, the incidences of cesarean section of tertile 1-3 groups were 61.4%, 58.7%, and 44.9%, respectively (p < .05). The incidences of neonatal hypoglycemia of tertiles 1-3 groups were 19.8%, 18.6%, and 8.7% (p < .05). The difference of composite outcomes was statistically significant (p = .001). After adjustment, the patients with worse BG control (lower GQR) had higher risk of cesarean section (tertile 1 - aOR = 2.029, 1.128-3.648), neonatal hypoglycemia (tertile 1: aOR = 2.498, 1.082-5.766) as well as composite outcomes. The ROC curve of GQR indicated the predictive value for neonatal hypoglycemia (area under the ROC curve (AUC) 0.612 (0.532-0.692)) and neonatal composite outcomes (AUC 0.593 (0.528-0.657)) with optimal cutoff values of 81.1% and 73.5%, respectively. We also explored that whether twice or three times monitoring per day would be adequate for GQR calculation. The result showed that GQR only calculated by FBG + 2hPG after lunch (2h AL) per day also had well relationship with cesarean section (tertile 1: OR = 2.412, 1.322-4.398), neonatal hypoglycemia (tertile 1: aOR = 4.497, 1.607-12.586), and neonatal composite outcomes (tertile 1: aOR = 1.959, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.114-3.444, p = .020). CONCLUSIONS The GQR calculated by the easily applicable fingerstick BG is related to occurrence of cesarean section and neonatal hypoglycemia in GDM women. GQR ≥ 80% is recommended for better pregnancy outcomes. As for the number of points monitoring per day, GQR calculated by FBG + 2h AL was an optimal option for better pregnancy outcomes if mothers needed to simplify the process of monitoring.

Abstract
Mikania micrantha is a highly invasive vine, and its ability to sexually reproduce is a major obstacle to its eradication. The long-distance dissemination of M. micrantha depends on the distribution of seeds; therefore, inhibiting M. micrantha flowering and seed production is an effective control strategy. The number of blooms of M. micrantha differs at different altitudes (200, 900, and 1300 m). In this study, we used a combination of metabolomics and transcriptomics methods to study the patterns of metabolite accumulation in the flower buds of M. micrantha. Using LC-MS/MS, 658 metabolites were found in the flower buds of M. micrantha at three different altitudes (200, 900, and 1300 m). Flavonoids and phenolic acids were found to be the main differential metabolites, and their concentrations were lower at 900 m than at 200 m and 1300 m, with the concentrations of benzoic acid, ferulic acid, and caffeic acid being the lowest. The biosynthesis pathways for flavonoids and phenolic compounds were significantly enriched for differentially expressed genes (DEGs), according to the results of transcriptome analysis. The production of flavonoid and phenolic acids was strongly linked with the expressions of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), caffeoyl-CoA O-methyltransferase (COMT), and 4-coumarate-CoA ligase (4CL), according to the results of the combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis. These genes' roles in the regulation of distinct phenolic acids and flavonoids during M. micrantha bud differentiation are still unknown. This study adds to our understanding of how phenolic acids and flavonoids are regulated in M. micrantha flower buds at various altitudes and identifies regulatory networks that may be involved in this phenomenon, offering a new approach for the prevention and management of M. micrantha.

Abstract
Tacrolimus is the principal immunosuppressive drug which is administered after heart transplantation. Managing tacrolimus therapy is challenging due to a narrow therapeutic index and wide pharmacokinetic (PK) variability. We aimed to establish a physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model of tacrolimus in adult heart transplant recipients to optimize dose regimens in clinical practice. A 15-compartment full-PBPK model (Simbiology® Simulator, version 5.8.2) was developed using clinical observations from 115 heart transplant recipients. This study detected 20 genotypes associated with tacrolimus metabolism. CYP3A5*3 (rs776746), CYP3A4*18B (rs2242480), and IL-10 G-1082A (rs1800896) were identified as significant genetic covariates in tacrolimus pharmacokinetics. The PBPK model was evaluated using goodness-of-fit (GOF) and external evaluation. The predicted peak blood concentration (Cmax) and area under the drug concentration-time curve (AUC) were all within a two-fold value of the observations (fold error of 0.68-1.22 for Cmax and 0.72-1.16 for AUC). The patients with the CYP3A5*3/*3 genotype had a 1.60-fold increase in predicted AUC compared to the patients with the CYP3A5*1 allele, and the ratio of the AUC with voriconazole to alone was 5.80 when using the PBPK model. Based on the simulation results, the tacrolimus dosing regimen after heart transplantation was optimized. This is the first PBPK model used to predict the PK of tacrolimus in adult heart transplant recipients, and it can serve as a starting point for research on immunosuppressive drug therapy in heart transplant patients.

Abstract
AIM To clarify whether pancreatic derived factor (PANDER) predicts the remission of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) due to lifestyle intervention among women with history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). METHODS IGT women with GDM history in a prospective cohort study were enrolled at 4-12 weeks postpartum and grouped based on PANDER level at recruitment. After lifestyle intervention, glucose metabolism examined was performed at one year postpartum. The relation between PANDER level and glycemic outcome was analyzed with logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. RESULTS In total, 48.7% (55/113) of subjects returned to normal glucose tolerance at one year postpartum. Compared to those with low PANDER group, women among high PANDER group and very high PANDER group were associated with a lower remission of IGT. These associations remained in multivariable logistic regression. The area under the ROC curve (AUC) of PANDER level for the remission of IGT was 0.702 (95% CI 0.595-0.809). When PANDER level was combined with clinical information, the AUC reached 0.812 (95% CI 0.725-0.899; P < 0.001). CONCLUSION Circulating PANDER concentration is inversely associated with the remission of IGT in women with GMD history at one year postpartum.

Abstract
A systematic study of the structures and electronic properties of V2-doped silicon clusters, V2Sin-/0 (n = 7-14), was carried out by anion photoelectron spectroscopic experiments combined with theoretical calculations. According to the experimental spectra of V2Sin- (n = 7-14) clusters, the V2Si12- cluster has the highest vertical detachment energy (VDE) of 3.66 eV, while V2Si7- and V2Si14- clusters have lower VDEs of 2.81 and 2.84 eV, respectively. The most stable structure searches find that two V atoms in the V2Sin- clusters with size n = 7 and 8 are located at the surface, while V2Sin- clusters with n ≥ 9 prefer cage-like structures. Based on the analysis of the structural evolution of V2Sin- (n = 9-14) clusters, it can be clearly seen how the antihexagonal prism with one V encapsulated in the cage is gradually built from n = 9 to 12 and further developed from n = 12 to 14 with the extra silicon atoms located at the surface of the Si12 cage. The molecular orbital and the atoms in molecule analysis of the V2Sin- (n = 7-14) anions demonstrate that the strong V-V bond and the delocalized interaction between the V2 moiety and the Sin ligand play a significant role in stabilizing the cluster structures. A strong linear correlation has been found between the Wiberg bond order of the V-V bond and the electron density at the V-V bond critical points.

Abstract
AIM We aimed to assess the association between the use of Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists and the risk of 12 respiratory diseases in patients with type 2 diabetes, obesity, or overweight. METHOD The PubMed (MEDLINE), EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and ClinicalTrials.gov databases were searched from the establishment of the database to December 24, 2022. Dichotomous outcomes were analyzed using RR and 95% CI calculated from fixed-effects models. RESULTS Twenty-eight RCTs were ultimately included for analysis, involving a total of 77,485 participants. Compared to controls, patients with GLP-1RAs have a 14% lower risk of respiratory disease (RR 0.86, 95% CI 0.81-0.93 p < 0.0001), with Semaglutid (RR 0.82, 95% CI 0.68-0.97, p = 0.02), Liraglutide (RR 0.86. 95% CI 0.75-0.98, p = 0.03), Dulaglutide (RR 0.82, 95% CI 0.70-0.96, p = 0.02), Albiglutide (RR 0.93,95% CI 0.79-1.10, p = 0.40), Exenatide (RR 0.93, 95% CI 0.74-1.18, p = 0.55), Lixisenatide (RR 0.83, 95% CI 0.62-1.12, p = 0.22), and Efpeglenatide (RR 0.76, 95% CI 0.46-1.24, p = 0.27). Semaglutide, Liraglutide and Dulaglutide reduce the risk of respiratory diseases by 18%, 14% and 18%, respectively.Trial duration, control type, and indication were not associated with the impact of GLP-1 receptor agonists on overall respiratory disease. Among secondary outcomes, the risk of Pulmonary edema (RR 0.66, 95% CI 0.44-0.98, p = 0.04), and Bronchitis (RR 0.86, 95% CI 0.74-1.00, p = 0.04) was reduced. CONCLUSION In conclusion, GLP-1RAs were linked to a lower risk of overall respiratory diseases, especially Pulmonary edema and Bronchitis. In the future, physicians should pay attention to the relationship between GLP-1 RA and the risk of respiratory diseases and evaluate the efficacy of GLP-1RAs in the primary and secondary prevention of respiratory diseases. Abstract
The predictive factors for the progression from gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) to type 2 diabetes remain incompletely elucidated. Our objective was to investigate the link between serum creatinine, a proxy for skeletal muscle mass, and the development of postpartum abnormal glucose metabolism (AGM). METHODS A retrospective review of the medical records of 501 women with GDM was conducted, all of whom underwent a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) between 4 and 12 weeks postpartum. Women were grouped based on quartiles of serum creatinine at the first antenatal visit to estimate the association between serum creatinine and postpartum AGM incidence. RESULTS Compared with the highest quartile of creatinine, lower quartiles were substantially linked to an increased incidence of postpartum AGM (adjusted odds ratios 3.37 [95% CI 1.77-6.42], 2.42 [95% CI 1.29-4.51] and 2.27 [95% CI 1.23-4.18], respectively). The generalized additive model suggested a linear relationship between serum creatinine levels and the risk of postpartum AGM below 68 µmol/L of serum creatinine levels. A decrease of 2 μmol/L in serum creatinine levels was found to be associated with a 10% increase in the odds of developing postpartum AGM. Linear regression revealed that a low serum creatinine level was linked to a higher postpartum 2-h glucose level and a decreased insulinogenic index (p = 0.007 and p = 0.027, respectively). CONCLUSIONS An association was observed between lower serum creatinine levels in early pregnancy and an increased risk of postpartum AGM and poorer β-cell function in women with a recent history of GDM. Further research is needed to understand the mechanisms underlying our findings, as well as the role of skeletal muscle mass or nutritional status in early pregnancy on later glucose metabolism.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Mikania micrantha is a vine with strong invasion ability, and its strong sexual reproduction ability is not only the main factor of harm, but also a serious obstacle to control. M. micrantha spreads mainly through seed production. Therefore, inhibiting the flowering and seed production of M. micrantha is an effective strategy to prevent from continuing to spread. RESULT The flowering number of M. micrantha is different at different altitudes. A total of 67.01 Gb of clean data were obtained from nine cDNA libraries, and more than 83.47% of the clean reads were mapped to the reference genome. In total, 5878 and 7686 significantly differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were found in E2 vs. E9 and E13 vs. E9, respectively. Based on the background annotation and gene expression, some candidate genes related to the flowering pathway were initially screened, and their expression levels in the three different altitudes in flower bud differentiation showed the same trend. That is, at an altitude of 1300 m, the flower integration gene and flower meristem gene were downregulated (such as SOC1 and AP1), and the flowering inhibition gene was upregulated (such as FRI and SVP). Additionally, the results showed that there were many DEGs involved in the hormone signal transduction pathway in the flower bud differentiation of M. micrantha at different altitudes. CONCLUSIONS Our results provide abundant sequence resources for clarifying the underlying mechanisms of flower bud differentiation and mining the key factors inhibiting the flowering and seed production of M. micrantha to provide technical support for the discovery of an efficient control method.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) syndrome (EAS) is a serious life-threatening disease. Tumor localization is crucial in EAS management. This underscores the importance of evaluating imaging methods and prognostic factors to provide a clear basis for patient diagnosis and management. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to investigate imaging methods and analyze the relevant prognostic factors for EAS. METHODS The retrospective study followed 64 cases of EAS diagnosed between 1992 and 2020. Clinical features, biochemical analysis, and imaging studies were collected, and survival data were followed up and analyzed. RESULTS Of 64 patients, 41% were female with a mean (±SD) age at diagnosis of 47 ± 16 years. Computed tomography (CT), 18-F fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)-CT, and octreotide scintigraphy had similar sensitivity in localizing ectopic ACTH-secreting tumors. However, in cases with negative imaging on CT, both of 18F-FDG PET-CT and octreotide scintigraphy further localized 25% tumors. The combination of all three modalities failed to further increase the sensitivity. Patients with thymic tumors survived longer than those with pulmonary or pancreatic tumors (p = 0.013 and 0.047, respectively). Multivariate analyses showed that hypokalemia (p = 0.004) and treatment modality (p = 0.048) were independent prognostic factors. The optimal serum potassium cutoff based on maximum log-rank statistics (p = 0.012) was 2.90 mmol/L. CONCLUSION CT is the first choice for tumor localization in EAS. CT in combination with a nuclear medicine or molecular imaging modality is necessary for further identification of an ectopic source. Serum potassium <2.90 mmol/L is associated with shorter overall survival, and tumor resection plays the most important role in the survival improvement.

The weak interactions between epinephrine and thymine were investigated by combining the 6-311+G(d,p) basis set with the M06-2X method based on density functional theory. Results suggest that epinephrine and thymine form 22 steady geometries through weak interactions, which primarily contain hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking. Hydrogen bonding is the main character. In addition, the interaction energies range from −20.98 kJ•mol−1 to −63.14 kJ•mol−1 with the basis set superposition error correction, which are in line with the energy range of the hydrogen bond. Geometrical parameters, frequency analysis, natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis, atoms-in-molecules (AIM) analysis, and reduced density gradient (RDG) analysis were also used to analyze and verify hydrogen bond formation. Most of the hydrogen bonds in optimized structures of the epinephrine–thymine complex are closed-shell interaction and electrostatic dominant, whereas N•••H–N, which exist in geometries 3, 4, 5, and 14, are interacting between the closed-shell and shared-shell. N-H…N is almost linear, which is more conducive to the study of the role of hydrogen bonds in the system.

Abstract
Exohedral borospherene complexes comprised of 3d transition metal (TM) atoms with borospherene B40 and benzene (C6H6) molecules, C6H6TMB40, were systematically studied by using density functional theory (DFT). Results show that in the ground states, the bonding type between TM and B40 changes from η7 (TM = Sc-V) to η6 (TM = Cr-Fe) and then to η7 (TM = Co, Ni) with the increasing number of d electrons. Except for C6H6TiB40 and C6H6FeB40 being triplets, all C6H6TMB40 clusters have the lowest spin. Namely, the ground spin state with an even number of electrons is a singlet state, and the ground spin state with an odd number of electrons is a doublet state. The investigated C6H6TMB40 clusters (TM = Sc-Ni) possess higher stabilities through the ionic-covalent interactions between transition metals, benzene and the B40 cage.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES With gestational diabetes (GDM), women have a higher risk for future type 2 diabetes, and risk factors for diabetes for it are amplified. Whether this phenomenon is affected by traditional puerperal or postpartum practices among Chinese women who develop gestational diabetes is unclear. This has been explored in a Cantonese cultural setting to enable relevant risk management. METHODS AND STUDY DESIGN Some 138 women were followed before, during and after pregnancy in accordance with Cantonese Puerperal Practices (CPP), and occurrence of GDM and exclusive breast-feeding. Body compositional and cardiometabolic information were collected. These included glucose tolerance and insulin resistance. RESULTS During a median postpartum follow-up of 60.4 days, women with a typical CPP had a greater body weight and weight retention. With artificial feeding, women with a typical CPP had greater OGTT glycemic responses and more insulin resistance. With exclusive breast-feeding, however, no differences in postpartum cardiometabolic measurements were observed, except for a higher early-phase insulin response. CONCLUSIONS Traditional CPP is associated with early postpartum cardiometabolic impairment in gestational diabetes, but this is avoided with breast-feeding.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is one of the serious complications of diabetes, which has high disability rate and mortality. Low-intensity ultrasound combined with microbubbles in blood circulation can enhance the blood perfusion effect of local soft tissue, which has the potential to promote the healing of diabetic ulcer. Here, we report how this method was used to help the healing of two patients with chronic refractory DFUs. CASE PRESENTATION In case 1, a 56-year-old man with 3-years history of type 2 diabetes had a 3.0×2.0 cm ulcer which infected with staphylococcus aureus on his right calf for more than half a month. In case 2, a 70-year-old man with 10-years history of type 2 diabetes presented with an 8-month right heel ulcer that developed to 7.5×4.6 cm. And he also had hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and renal impairment. Both patients were enrolled in our study to receive treatment of low-intensity diagnostic ultrasound (LIDUS) combined with microbubbles. They were discharged after a 20-minute daily standard treatment for 7 consecutive days. The ulcers in both cases completely healed in 60 days and 150 days, respectively, and haven't recurred for more than one year of follow-up. CONCLUSION It is feasible, safe, and effective to use commercial LIDUS combined with commercial microbubbles in the treatment of diabetic lower extremity ulcers. This study may provide an innovative and non-invasive method for the treatment of DFUs.

Abstract
The sympathoadrenal system has been shown to stimulate the secretory activity of enteroendocrine cells, although the response is transient. Our aim was to investigate the effects of long-term catecholamine excess on circulating glucagon-likepeptide-1 (GLP-1) levels in patients with pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma (PPGL). Thirty patients diagnosed with PPGL were analyzed. A significant negative association was observed between fasting plasma GLP-1 levels and elevated plasma-free metanephrine (r = -0.407, p = 0.026). After adjustment for age, sex, body mass index (BMI), serum creatinine, and the presence of hyperglycemia, the negative association between plasma GLP-1 and metanephrine persisted by multiple linear regression analysis (β = -0.493, p = 0.013). Positive correlations between fasting glucose and plasma metanephrine (r = 0.380, p = 0.038) and normetanephrine levels (r = 0.450, p = 0.013) were also found. Mean fasting levels of total GLP-1 increased significantly from 25.81 to 39.01 pmol/L (p = 0.017) after PPGL resection. In conclusion, long-term overproduction of catecholamines appears to induce suppression of GLP-1 production compared to an acute response to a stress stimulus. Further studies are required to elucidate the mechanism of GLP-1 secretion with chronic exposure to catecholamine.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES There is little evidence on the association between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and disability trajectories among middle-aged and older adults. This study aimed to investigate the association between ACEs and activities of daily living (ADL) trajectories over eight years of follow-up and the mediation role of different chronic diseases on this relationship. DESIGN Prospective cohort study, eight-year follow-up. SETTING China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS). PARTICIPANTS A total of 10651 participants age 45 and over from CHARLS 2011 to 2018 were included in this study. MEASUREMENTS Five ACEs exposure groups were formed based on the cumulative ACE scores. A 6-item ADL score was used, including bathing, dressing, eating, getting in/out of bed, using the toilet, and controlling urination, to measure the ADL disability, and the group-based trajectory model (GBTM) was used to identify the ADL disability trajectories. Multinomial logistic regression was performed to investigate the association between ACEs and ADL disability trajectory memberships, and KHB-method was used to estimate the contribution of different chronic diseases on this relationship. RESULTS Of the 10651 participants, 9.64% showed a mild-increasing trajectory in terms of change in ADL score during follow-up, followed by the low-mild trajectory (32.00%) and low-low trajectory (58.36%). Compared with those without ACEs exposure, participants who had ≥4 ACEs were associated with an increased risk of being on low-mild trajectory (OR 1.32, 95%CI:1.11-1.57) and mild-increasing trajectory (OR 1.41, 95%CI: 1.06-1.89), respectively. Besides, mediation analysis revealed chronic diseases had a mediation effect in this association, with the largest effect from arthritis or rheumatism (over 60%), followed by digestive system disease (around 14%), respiratory disease (around 12%), and cardio-metabolic disease (around 5%). CONCLUSION This study suggested that exposure to ACEs was associated with a higher risk of being worse ADL disability trajectories. Moreover, chronic disease accounts for a meaningful proportion of this association. Further studies are needed to clarify how chronic diseases mediate the association between ACEs and ADL disability trajectories.

Abstract
The Zn-Zn bond as one of the metal-to-metal bonds in clusters and molecules is of fundamental interest in many areas of natural science. Neutral boronyl can be viewed as a σ radical and is found in boronyl metal complexes. However, a complex with the Zn-Zn bond stabilized by boronyl ligands has not been found so far. Herein, we report on the computational design of the simplest case of such a system: linear D∞h OBZnZnBO. The structural and electronic properties and chemical bonding on a series of zinc complexes Znx(BO)y (x = 1,2; y = 1,2) with boronyl as ligands have been studied using quantum chemical calculations at the B3LYP and PBE0 levels, respectively. For the Zn2(BO)2 cluster, the linear D∞h OBZnZnBO is the global minimum, in which the calculated Zn-Zn bond length of rZn-Zn = 2.400 Å at the B3LYP level, which appears to be close to the latest recommended covalent radii (2.40 Å) of the proposed single bond covalent radii of the Zn-Zn bond. Chemical bonding analyses show that D∞h OBZnZnBO possesses a linear four-center two-electron (4c-2e) σ bond. The σ bond framework has a contribution of Zn orbitals 54% and B orbitals 44%, which involve Zn 4s 20% and 4p 34%, and B 2s 28% and 2p 16%, respectively. Furthermore, the D∞h HZnZnH and NCZnZnCN clusters also exhibit one linear 4c-2e σ bond due to the secondary contribution from the H s and C sp components, respectively. The linear 4c-2e σ bond greatly stabilizes the dizinc complexes. D∞h OBZnZnBO is thermochemically stable with respect to the possible formation channel at room temperature, whereas the formation energy of the exergonic channel, 2ZnBO (C∞v, 2Σg) → OBZnZnBO (D∞h, 1Σg), is evaluated to be -58.75 kcal mol-1 at the B3LYP level. Thus, D∞h OBZnZnBO as the first observation of the Zn-Zn covalent bond in zinc complexes with boronyl as ligands may be synthesized in laboratories in the near future.

Abstract
The successive experimental observations of planar, cage-like, seashell-like, and bilayer Bn-/0 clusters in the size range between n = 3-48 well demonstrate the structural diversity and rich chemistry of boron nanoclusters. Based on extensive global minimum search and density functional theory calculations, we predict herein the bilayer C1 B50 (I), C2h B52 (II), C1 B56 (IV), and C2v B58 (V) as the global minima of the systems to fill in the missing gap in the bilayer B2n series between B48-B72. These highly stable species all contain a B38 bilayer hexagonal prism at the center, with 2, 2, 3, and 3 effective interlayer B-B σ-bonds formed between inward-buckled atoms on the top and bottom layers, respectively. Our bilayer C1 B50 (I) and C1 B56 (IV) prove to be obviously more stable than the previously reported quasi-planar C2v B50 and C2v B56 with two adjacent B6 hexagonal holes. Detailed bonding analyses indicate that these bilayer clusters follow the universal bonding pattern of σ + π double delocalization, making them three-dimensionally aromatic in nature. The bilayer B2n species in the size range between B48-B72 evolve gradually on the waist around the B38 or elongated B46 bilayer hexagonal prism at the center.

Abstract
Apoptosis shapes brain structure and function during early life. However, aberrant apoptosis, including that associated with the general anaesthetic propofol, is undesirable. Dexmedetomidine (DEX) provides potential neuroprotection against apoptosis, but the underlying mechanism remains unknown. We exposed neonatal rodent hippocampal astrocytes to propofol alone and in combination with DEX and yohimbine (an α2 -adrenergic receptor antagonist), then evaluated cell viability using the MTT assay. The underlying regulatory mechanism associated with apoptosis-related genes was detected using a combinational strategy including double immunofluorescent staining, real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), western blot, and flow cytometry. Propofol reduced matrix metallopeptidase 9 (MMP9) in cultured astrocytes, and activated the rno-miR-665/Bcl2-like 1 (Bcl2l1)/cleaved caspase 9 (CC9)/cleaved caspase 3 (CC3) pathway. Combinations incorporating propofol with A-1155463 (a selective Bcl2l1 inhibitor) or MMP9 antagomir reduced Bcl2l1 and promoted apoptosis. Co-culture of propofol with Bcl2l1 or with MMP9 agomir was sufficient to decrease the pro-apoptotic effects of propofol. Interestingly, DEX alone had no significant effect on apoptosis. When combined with propofol, however, the negative effects of propofol on the MMP9 and apoptosis-related genes (Bcl2l1, CC9, and CC3) were reduced. Furthermore, yohimbine pretreatment blocked the neuroprotective effects of DEX. Rno-miR-665 was also found to reduce MMP9 expression in propofol-treated hippocampal astrocytes. Taken together, the results indicate that DEX pretreatment reduces propofol-associated pro-apoptosis in developing astrocytes via downregulation of anti-apoptotic signalling mediated by Bcl2l1.

Abstract
Background It is unknown whether early postpartum abnormal glucose metabolism (AGM) in women with previous gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is related to their mid-trimester lipid profile. The aim of this study was to characterize the mid-trimester lipid profile of women who experienced GDM and developed into different pathophysiologic subtypes of early postpartum AGM. Methods A retrospective cohort study of 498 women with history of GDM was conducted. A 75-g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and plasma lipid measurements were performed at 24–28 weeks of gestation and 6–12 weeks of postpartum. Insulin secretion and sensitivity were estimated using early postpartum OGTT-based indices. Results Women in the mid-trimester dyslipidemia group had higher postpartum 30-min and 2-h plasma glucose, higher postpartum 2-h plasma insulin, higher postpartum triglyceride (TG), higher postpartum low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) concentrations, lower postpartum 30-min insulinogenic index (IGI30), lower postpartum insulin sensitivity index (ISI), and lower postpartum disposition index than those in the normal lipid group (all P < 0.05). Abnormal mid-trimester TG and LDL-c concentrations were associated with postpartum AGM (adjusted odds ratio [OR] = 1.786, 95 % confidence interval [CI] = 1.142–2.425; and adjusted OR = 1.621, 95 % CI = 1.323–2.051, respectively; both P < 0.05). AGM women with low IGI30 and low ISI had higher mid-trimester total cholesterol and LDL-c concentrations, and AGM women with low ISI had higher mid-trimester TG concentrations than women with NGT or other subtypes of AGM (all P < 0.05). Conclusions GDM women with abnormal mid-trimester TG and LDL-c were predisposed to early postpartum AGM. Postpartum AGM women who experienced GDM had heterogeneous mid-trimester lipid profile when classified according to their pathophysiologic subtype.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the impact of trigger timing of gonadotropin- releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist regimen for infertility patients of various ages. Methods: This was a retrospective study, 1 529 infertility patients who receiving GnRH antagonist regimen in Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children from January 2017 to December 2018 were divided into the advance trigger group and the standard trigger group, and further divided into three subgroups according to age:<35 years, 35-40 years,>40 years. The number of retrieved oocytes and transplantable embryos, the clinical pregnancy rate and the live birth rate among patients in the advance trigger group and standard trigger group in various age subgroups were compared. Results: (1) The gonadotropin (Gn) days among the three age subgroups were significantly shorter in the advance trigger group compared to the same-aged standard trigger group (all P<0.01), but only in the 35-40 years and >40 years subgroups, the Gn doses in the advance trigger group [(2 702±551) and (2 780±561) U] were significantly less than those in the standard trigger group (all P<0.01). In the <35 years subgroup, the number of oocytes retrieved and transplantable embryos of the advance trigger group (6.6±4.8 and 2.6±2.7) were significantly less than those of the standard trigger group (all P<0.01), but there was no difference in the number of top-quality embryos (P=0.580); however, in the 35-40 years and >40 years subgroups, there were no significant differences between advance and standard trigger groups in terms of the afore mentioned 3 indicators (all P>0.05), only the numbers of top-quality embryos in the advance trigger group (0.6±1.0 and 0.6±0.9) were significantly higher than those in the standard trigger group (all P<0.01). (2) In the <35 years and 35-40 years subgroups, no significant differences were noted between the advance trigger group and standard trigger group with regard to the clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate (all P>0.05); but in the >40 years subgroup, the clinical pregnancy rate of the advance trigger group was significantly higher than that of the standard trigger group [33.0% (30/91) vs 19.2% (25/130), P=0.020], and there was no statistical difference in the live birth rate (P=0.064). (3) Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that trigger timing was an independent predictor of clinical pregnancy rate in the >40 years subgroup (OR=0.334, 95%CI: 0.119-0.937, P=0.037), but not an independent predictor of live birth rate (P>0.05). Conclusions: Advance trigger in the GnRH antagonist protocol for infertility patients >40 years old could effectively reduce Gn times and Gn dosage, increase the number of top-quality embryos, and improve the clinical pregnancy rate. Therefore, compared with patients ≤40 years of age, patients >40 years might benefit more from advance trigger.

Abstract
To investigate the predictive value of [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission computed tomography(PET)/CT for disease progression in patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and interstitial lung diseases (ILD). Sixty-seven DM patients who underwent [18F] FDG-PET/CT imaging were retrospectively analyzed from January 2012 to September 2017 at PLA General Hospital. Their clinical manifestations and imaging characteristics were recorded. Compared with those chronically progressed (C-ILD), patients with rapid progression (RP-ILD) had significantly higher erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and standardized uptake value (SUV) in lungs (P<0.05). In patients with RP-ILD, SUV in lungs was positively correlated with age, disease course, and ESR. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis suggested that when lung SUV cut off value was 2.25, the sensitivity and specificity to predict disease progression was 77.8% and 72.8%, respectively. Old age, longer disease course, low creatine kinase level, higher ESR, and high SUV are prognostic factors for DM-associated ILD.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Medical overutilisation and underutilisation affect optimal healthcare. The Medical Maximizer-Minimizer Scale (MMS) was developed to assess individual medical maximising and minimising tendencies. Despite significant improvement in the healthcare system over the past four decades, no psychometric scales to examine treatment maximising and minimising preferences are available in China. This study aimed to translate the MMS into Chinese and examine its reliability and validity in a Chinese population. DESIGN This cross-sectional study was conducted in December 2019 through an online survey panel. METHODS The MMS was translated into a Chinese version (CN-MMS) using a forward-backward translation procedure. Next, a random online survey of the general population in China was conducted. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis were performed to examine the underlying factor structure of the CN-MMS. The internal consistency reliability of the scale was determined using Cronbach's α coefficient and corrected item-total correlation. A multivariate linear regression analysis was used to examine associations between medical maximising and minimising preferences and demographic variables in the Chinese population. RESULTS This study included 984 participants aged 18-80 years. The CN-MMS retained 10 items, and the EFA supported a two-factor structure. The model fit for this two-factor structure of the CN-MMS was acceptable with χ2/df=3.7, comparative fit index=0.958, goodness-of-fit index=0.951, Tucker-Lewis Index=0.944 and root mean square error of approximation=0.074. The scale had a Cronbach's α coefficient of 0.864, corrected item-total correlation of 0.451-0.667, and test-retest reliability of 0.815. Significant predictors of CN-MMS total score were nationality and household monthly income. CONCLUSIONS The CN-MMS showed satisfactory psychometric properties. Therefore, it can be used to investigate the individual medical maximising and minimising tendencies among the general Chinese population.

Abstract
BACKGROUND A better understanding of the current features of osteoporosis-related randomized clinical trials (RCTs) is important for improving clinical trial designs and promoting the translatability of results into benefits for patients. However, there is a lack of thorough evaluation of osteoporosis-related RCTs in middle-aged and older populations. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the characteristics of registered RCTs on osteoporosis among middle-aged and older adults on the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP). METHODS Osteoporosis-related RCTs registered on the ICTRP were searched on December 31, 2020. The main features of eligible RCTs were assessed. We searched PubMed, Google scholar, Medline, and Embase databases for the publication status of completed RCTs. RESULTS A total of 537 osteoporosis-related RCTs were identified for analysis. The number of registered RCTs increased rapidly in 2005 (N = 47). Of these, 346 (64.4%) RCTs involved only women and 275 (51.2%) were retrospectively registered. Most RCTs were of open-label design (61.3%). The most common primary purpose of osteoporosis-related RCTs was treatment (72.3%). Intervention investigated was mainly focused on medication (62.8%), followed by lifestyle or education (19.0%), and dietary supplement (10.4%). After trial completion, the results of only 140 (35.5%) RCTs were available on the ICTRP, and the publication rate after trial completion was 30.5%. CONCLUSIONS RCTs on osteoporosis among middle-aged and older adults were dominated by retrospectively registered and open-label trials. Most trials lacked available results and associated publications. More awareness of prospective registration and blinding design in osteoporosis-related RCTs is needed. Further, publication and dissemination of RCTs results should be promoted.

Abstract
Primary aldosteronism (PA) is one of the most common forms of secondary hypertension. Recent studies suggest that, compared with essential hypertension (EH), PA presents more severe disorders of glycolipid metabolism and organ damages. This case-control retrospective study aimed to ascertain clinical features and metabolic parameters between Chinese patients of PA and EH. 174 PA patients and 174 matched EH patients were recruited. Their clinical features, biochemistry parameters, the ventricular septal thickness, and left ventricular mass index (LVMI) were compared. HOMA-β% and HOMA-IR were calculated to evaluate glucose metabolism. The results showed that there was no significant difference regarding BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, and blood pressure between the two groups. The blood potassium level was significantly lower in PA patients than those in EH patients. The abnormal glucose tolerance and the incidence of diabetes in the PA group were not significantly different from those in EH group, but the insulin secretion levels at 0 min and 30 min were significantly weaker than those in the EH group, and the HOMA-β% was also lower in the PA group than those in the EH group. Left ventricular structural abnormalities in PA patients were more severe than those in EH patients. Subtype analysis indicated that patient with aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA) has more serious hypokalemia and lower levels of HOMA-β% and HOMA-IR comparing to those in the idiopathic adrenal hyperplasia (IHA) patient. These findings demonstrated that PA patients showed more impaired insulin secretion function and more severe left ventricular structural damage compared with EH patients.

Abstract
Dexmedetomidine (DEX) has neuroprotective effects and its efficacy was determined in propofol-treated pups. Postnatal day (P) 7 rats were exposed to propofol and DEX to investigate the induced apoptosis-related gene expression. Furthermore, synaptic structural changes at the cellular level were observed by electron microscopy. Induction of hippocampal long-term potentiation (LTP) of P30 rats and long-lasting performance of spatial discrimination at P30 and P60 were evaluated. After a single propofol exposure to P7 rats, DEX pretreatment effectively rescued the profound apoptosis seen in hippocampal neurocytes, and strongly reversed the aberrant expression levels of Bcl2-like 1 (BCL2L1), matrix metallopeptidase 9 (MMP-9) and cleaved caspase 3 (CC3), and sharply enhanced synaptic plasticity. However, there were no significant differences in escape latency or crossing times in a probe test. This was accompanied by no obvious reduction in search strategies among the rat groups. No impairment of long-term learning and memory in P30 or P60 rats was detected when using a single dose propofol treatment during the most vulnerable period of brain development. DEX was shown to ameliorate the rodent developmental neurotoxicity caused by a single neonatal propofol challenge, by altering MMP-9, BCL2L1 and CC3 apoptotic signaling.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aimed to analyze the incidence of early postpartum dyslipidemia and its potential predictors in women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). METHODS This was a retrospective study. Five hundred eighty-nine women diagnosed with GDM were enrolled and followed up at 6-12 weeks after delivery. A 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and lipid levels were performed during mid-trimester and the early postpartum period. Participants were divided into the normal lipid group and dyslipidemia group according to postpartum lipid levels. Demographic and metabolic parameters were analyzed. Multiple logistic regression was performed to analyze the potential predictors for early postpartum dyslipidemia. A receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was calculated to determine the cut-off values. RESULTS A total of 38.5% of the 589 women developed dyslipidemia in early postpartum and 60% of them had normal glucose metabolism. Delivery age, systolic blood pressure (SBP), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were independent predictors of early postpartum dyslipidemia in women with a history of GDM. The cut-offs of maternal age, SBP, HbA1c values, and LDL-C levels were 35 years, 123 mmHg, 5.1%, and 3.56 mmol/L, respectively. LDL-C achieved a balanced mix of high sensitivity (63.9%) and specificity (69.2%), with the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) (0.696). When LDL-C was combined with age, SBP, and HbA1c, the AUC reached to 0.733. CONCLUSIONS A lipid metabolism evaluation should be recommended in women with a history of GDM after delivery, particularly those with a maternal age > 35 years, SBP > 123 mmHg before labor, HbA1c value > 5.1%, or LDL-C levels > 3.56 mmol/L in the second trimester of pregnancy.

Abstract
Background Inflammatory response mediated by microglia plays a key role in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. This study intends to probe the role of lncRNA SNHG4 in regulating the inflammatory response of the microglia during cerebral ischemia reperfusion. Materials and Methods Blood samples and cerebrospinal fluid samples were collected from acute cerebral infarction (ACI) patients and healthy controls. The middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) models were constructed with rats. LPS induction and oxygen-glucose deprivation methods were respectively applied to simulate the activation of microglia in vitro. qRT-PCR was employed to determine the expressions of SNHG4, miR-449c-5p and related inflammatory factors in vivo and in vitro. The inflammatory responses of the microglia subject to the varied expressions of SNHG4 and miR-449c-5p were detected. Luciferase assays were conducted to verify the crosstalk involving SNHG4, miR-449c-5p and STAT6. Results Compared with the control group, the expression of SNHG4 derived from the samples of ACI patients and the microglia of MCAO group were remarkably down-regulated, but the expression of miR-449c-5p was dramatically up-regulated. Overexpression of SNHG4 and knock-down of miR-449c-5p could inhibit the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokine in the microglia and promote the expression of anti-inflammatory factors. Meanwhile, the phospho-STAT6 was up-regulated, whereas the knock-down of SNHG4 and over-expression of miR-449c-5p in microglia had the opposite effects. Luciferase assay confirmed that SNHG4 could target miR-449c-5p, while miR-449c-5p could target STAT6. Conclusion SNHG4 can regulate STAT6 and repress inflammation by adsorbing miR-449c-5p in microglia during cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Soluble ST2 (sST2) is a promising biomarker in inflammation, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases. We investigated the association between serum sST2 and poor outcome in patients with transient ischaemic attack (TIA)/ischaemic stroke. METHODS Patients within 24 h after onset and with measured serum sST2 were prospectively enrolled in this study. Poor outcome was a combination of a new stroke event (ischaemic or haemorrhagic) and all-cause death within 90 days and 1 year. The associations of serum sST2 with poor outcome were analysed by Cox proportional hazards. RESULTS Among the 430 patients included, the median (interquartile range) sST2 was 17.72 (9.31-28.84) ng/mL. A total of 19 (4.4%) and 38 (8.8%) patients experienced poor outcome within 90 days and 1 year, respectively. Compared with the lowest sST2 tertile, hazard ratios (HRs) [95% confidence intervals (CI)] for the highest tertile were 5.14 (1.43-18.51) for poor outcome within 90 days and 3.00 (1.29-6.97) at 1 year after multivariate adjustments. Adding sST2 to a prediction model significantly improved risk stratification of poor outcome in TIA/ischaemic stroke, as observed by the continuous net reclassification improvement of 60.98% (95% CI, 15.37-106.6%, P = 0.009) and integrated discrimination improvement of 2.63% (95% CI, 0.08-5.18%, P = 0.043) at 90 days and the continuous net reclassification improvement of 41.68% (95% CI, 8.74-74.61%, P = 0.013) at 1 year. CONCLUSIONS Increased serum sST2 levels in TIA/ischaemic stroke were associated with increased risks of poor outcome within 90 days and 1 year, suggesting that serum sST2 may be a potential long-term prognostic biomarker for TIA/ischaemic stroke.

Abstract
Adipose-derived stromal cells (ADSCs) showed excellent capacity in regeneration and tissue protection. Low tidal volume ventilation (LVT) strategy demonstrates a therapeutic benefit on the treatment of acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ALI/ARDS). This study, therefore, aimed to undertaken determine whether the combined LVT and ADSCs treatment exerts additional protection against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ALI in rats. The animals were randomized into seven groups: Group I (control), Group II (instillation of LPS at 10 mg/kg intratracheally), Group III (LPS+LVT 6 ml/kg), Group IV (LPS+intravenous autologous 5 × 106 ADSCs which were pretreated with a scrambled small interfering RNA [siRNA] of keratinocyte growth factor [KGF] negative control), Group V (LPS+ADSCs which were pretreated with a scrambled siRNA of KGF, Group VI (LPS+LVT and ADSCs as in the Group IV), and Group VII (LPS+LVT and ADSCs as in the Group V). We found that levels of tumor necrosis factor-α, transforming growth factor-β1, and interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-6, the proinflammatory cytokines, were remarkably increased in LPS rats. Moreover, the expressions of ENaC, activity of Na, K-ATPase, and alveolar fluid clearance (AFC) were obviously reduced by LPS-induced ALI. The rats treated by ADSCs showed improved effects in all these changes of ALI and further enhanced by ADSCs combined with LVT treatment. Importantly, the treatment of ADSCs with siRNA-mediated knockdown of KGF partially eliminated the therapeutic effects. In conclusion, combined treatment with ADSCs and LVT not only is superior to either ADSCs or LVT therapy alone in the prevention of ALI. Evidence of the beneficial effect may be partly due to improving AFC by paracrine or systemic production of KGF and anti-inflammatory properties.

Abstract
Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are members of a multifunctional enzyme superfamily. Forty-one GSTs have been identified in Tribolium castaneum; however, none of the 41 GSTs has been functionally characterized. Here, three delta-class GSTs, TcGSTd1, TcGSTd2 and TcGSTd3, of T. castaneum were successfully cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. All of the studied GSTs catalysed the conjugation of reduced glutathione with 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene. Insecticide treatment showed that the expression levels of TcGSTd3 and TcGSTd2 were significantly increased after exposure to phoxim and lambda-cyhalothrin, whereas TcGSTd1 was slightly upregulated only in response to phoxim. A disc diffusion assay showed that overexpression of TcGSTD3, but not TcGSTD1 or TcGSTD2, in E. coli increased resistance to paraquat-induced oxidative stress. RNA interference knockdown of TcGSTd1 caused metamorphosis deficiencies and reduced fecundity by regulating insulin/target-of-rapamycin signalling pathway-mediated ecdysteroid biosynthesis, and knockdown of TcGSTd3 led to reduced fertility and a decreased hatch rate of the offspring, probably caused by the reduced antioxidative activity in the reproductive organs. These results indicate that TcGSTd3 and TcGSTd2 may play vital roles in cellular detoxification, whereas TcGSTd1 may play essential roles in normal development of T. castaneum. These delta-class GSTs in T. castaneum have obtained different functions during the evolution.

Abstract
Since the discovery of the cage-like borospherenes D2d B40−/0 and the first axially chiral borospherenes C3/C2 B39−, a series of fullerene-like boron clusters in different charge states have been reported in theory. Based on extensive global minimum searches and first-principles theory calculations, we present herein two new axially chiral members C2 B31+ (I) and C2 B32 (VI) to the borospherene family. B31+ (I) features two equivalent heptagons on the top and one octagon at the bottom on the cage surface, while B32 (VI) possesses two equivalent heptagons on top and two equivalent heptagons at the bottom. Detailed bonding analyses show that both sea-shell-like B31+ (I) and B32 (VI) follow the universal σ + π double delocalization bonding pattern of the borospherene family, with ten delocalized π bonds over a σ skeleton, rendering spherical aromaticity to the systems. Extensive molecular dynamics simulations show that these novel borospherenes are kinetically stable below 1000 K. The IR, Raman, and UV-vis spectra of B31+ (I) and B32 (VI) are computationally simulated to facilitate their future experimental characterizations. Two new axially chiral sea-shell-like boron clusters C2 B31+ (a) and C2 B32 (b) are presented at first-principles theory level to the borospherene family.![]()

Abstract
The present study is aimed at probing the hydrogen bonding interaction between epinephrine and uracil by means of density functional theory calculations concerning their complexation's geometries, interaction energies, and vibrational frequencies. Geometry optimization was carried out giving 19 stable geometries of epinephrine-uracil complex with interaction energies in a range of - 21.51 to - 62.37 kJ mol-1 using the basis set superposition error (BSSE) correction. The analysis of structure and vibration shows that the hydrogen bonding elongates the length of corresponding bond O(N)-H and decreases the symmetric stretching vibrational frequency, which indicates red-shifted H-bonding interactions in all the geometries. Additionally, the analysis with theories of natural bond orbital (NBO), atoms in molecules (AIM), and the reduced density gradient (RDG) of hydrogen bonding properties and characteristics of the 19 geometries suggests that the hydrogen bonding in all the optimized structures of epinephrine-uracil complex is kind of a closed-shell interaction and mainly electrostatic dominant.

Abstract
We theoretically report a novel graphene-based hybrid plasmonic waveguide (GHPW) by integrating a GaAs micro-tube on a silica spacer that is supported by a graphene-coated substrate. In comprehensive numerical simulations on guiding properties of the GHPW, it was found that the size of hybrid plasmonic mode (TM) can be reduced significantly to ~10-4(λ2/4), in conjunction with long propagation distances up to tens of micrometers by tuning the the waveguide's key structure parameters and graphene's chemical potential. Moreover, crosstalk between two adjacent GHPWs that are placed on the same substrate has been analyzed and ultralow crosstalk can be realized. The proposed scheme potentially enables realization of the various high performance nanophotonic components-based subwavelength plasmonic waveguides in terahertz domain.

Abstract
Low-level jets (LLJs) are relatively fast-moving streams of air that form in the lower troposphere and are a common phenomenon across the Great Plains (GP) of the United States. LLJs play an important role in moisture transport and the development of nocturnal convection in the spring and summer. Alterations to surface moisture and energy fluxes can influence the planetary boundary layer (PBL) development and thus LLJs. One important anthropogenic process that has been shown to affect the surface energy budget is irrigation. In this study, we investigate the effects of irrigation on LLJ development across the GP by incorporating a dynamic and realistic irrigation scheme into the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. WRF simulations were conducted with and without the irrigation scheme for the exceptionally dry summer of 2012 over the GP. The results show irrigation-introduced changes to LLJ features both over and downstream of the most heavily irrigated regions in the GP. There were statistically significant increases to LLJ speeds in the simulation with the irrigation parameterization. Decreases to the mean jet core height on the order of 50 m during the overnight hours were also simulated when irrigation was on. The overall frequency of jet occurrences increased over the irrigated regions by 5-10%; however, these differences were not statistically significant. These changes were weaker than those reported in earlier studies based on simple representations of irrigation that unrealistically saturate the soil columns over large areas over a long period of time, which highlights the importance and necessity to represent human activity more accurately in modeling studies.

Abstract
目的 探讨脑源性神经营养因子(BDNF)增强间充质干细胞(MSC)抑制滤泡辅助性T细胞(Tfh细胞)的作用及机制。 方法 ELISA法检测MSC培养上清中吲哚胺2,3-二加氧酶(IDO)、IL-10、TGF-β和IL-21的含量;采集健康志愿者的外周血标本,采用人淋巴细胞分离液分离外周血中的淋巴细胞;采用Transwell小室进行MSC和淋巴细胞共培养,流式细胞术检测CD4+CXCR5+ Tfh细胞及其亚群的比例。 结果 ①BDNF组(BDNF刺激的MSC)培养上清IL-10、TGF-β、IDO浓度均高于对照组(加入等体积磷酸盐缓冲液)[IL-10:(42.1±4.4)ng/ml对(19.3±2.1)ng/ml,t=4.761,P=0.009;TGF-β:(13.9±1.7)ng/ml对(5.3±0.6)ng/ml,t=5.129,P=0.008;IDO:(441.3±56.9)ng/ml对(226.7±37.6)ng/ml,t=3.130,P=0.035];②BDNF组(淋巴细胞与BDNF刺激的MSC共培养)与MSC组(淋巴细胞与MSC共培养)比较:CD4+CXCR5+Tfh细胞比例降低[(3.37±0.21)%对(6.51±0.27)%,t=9.353,P<0.001],CD4+ CXCR5+ CXCR3+ CCR6−Tfh1细胞比例升高[(41.14±2.04)%对(26.72±2.57)%,t=4.383,P=0.012],CD4+CXCR5+CXCR3−CCR6−Tfh2细胞和CD4+CXCR5+CXCR3−CCR6+Tfh17细胞比例降低[Tfh2:(30.16±5.38)%对(43.26±4.11)%,t=4.426,P=0.012;Tfh17:(15.61±1.52)%对(22.32±0.72)%,t=4.202,P=0.014],CD4+CXCR5+Foxp3+ Tfr细胞比例升高[(4.95±0.22)%对(2.32±0.16)%,t=10.241,P<0.001],淋巴细胞培养上清中IL-21浓度降低[(0.28±0.03)ng/ml对(0.85±0.08)ng/ml,t=6.675,P=0.003]。 结论 BDNF能够增强MSC抑制Tfh细胞的作用,机制是抑制淋巴细胞中Tfh细胞比例升高及其向Tfh2和Tfh17亚群的分化。

Abstract
Extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP) is an infrequent form of plasma cell dyscrasia that presents as a mass of monoclonal plasma cells located in extramedullary soft tissues with no skeletal component. EMP constitutes ~4% of all plasma cell neoplasms and occurs mostly in the upper respiratory tract. Here, we report a rare case of multiple EMPs involving the trachea, laryngopharynx, and oropharynx, which caused symptoms of airway obstruction as the only clinical manifestation. The patient was diagnosed by histopathology of the tissue from bronchoscopic resection and successfully managed with bronchoscopic intervention to treat lesions in the trachea and radiotherapy combined with surgical resection to treat lesions in the pharynx. There was no recurrence after 14 months of follow-up. Endoscopic intervention plays a key role in the rapid diagnosis and treatment of EMP involving the central airways.

Abstract
Noise uncertainty and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) wall are two very serious problems in spectrum sensing of cognitive radio (CR) networks, which restrict the applications of some conventional spectrum sensing methods especially under low SNR circumstances. In this study, an optimal dynamic stochastic resonance (SR) processing method is introduced to improve the SNR of the receiving signal under certain conditions. By using the proposed method, the SNR wall can be enhanced and the sampling complexity can be reduced, accordingly the noise uncertainty of the received signal can also be decreased. Based on the well-studied overdamped bistable SR system, the theoretical analyses and the computer simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach. It can extend the application scenes of the conventional energy detection especially under some serious wireless conditions especially low SNR circumstances such as deep wireless signal fading, signal shadowing and multipath fading.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Several clinical trials have demonstrated that dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) benefited patients with transient ischaemic attack (TIA) with an ABCD2 score ≥4. The present study aimed to investigate whether the ABCD3-I score could be a more appropriate tool for selection of patients with TIA to receive DAPT in real-world settings. METHODS We derived data from the TIA database of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. The predictive outcome was ischaemic stroke at 90 days. The additive interaction effect was presented by the attributable proportion due to interaction. Kaplan-Meier curves were plotted to present cumulative stroke rates in different risk categories with monotherapy and DAPT. Cox proportional hazards regression was used to determine risk factors associated with stroke. RESULTS Among 785 patients, the mean (SD) age was 56.95 (12.73) years and 77 patients (9.8%) had an ischaemic stroke at 90 days. A total of 55.8% of patients (attributable proportion due to interaction; 95% confidence interval, 20.8%-90.9%) were attributed to additive interaction of ABCD3-I score and antiplatelet therapy. Kaplan-Meier curves showed a significant difference between patients receiving monotherapy and DAPT in high-risk patients with TIA (P = 0.021). DAPT reduced 90-day stroke risk in high-risk patients with TIA as assessed independently by ABCD3-I score (adjusted hazard ratio, 0.43; 95% confidence interval, 0.20-0.92, P = 0.031). The benefit did not exist in low- and medium-risk patients by ABCD3-I score (patients with ABCD2 score ≥ 4 or <4). CONCLUSIONS High-risk patients with TIA assessed by ABCD3-I score received the most pronounced clinical benefit from early use of DAPT in real-world clinical experience.

Abstract
Transition-metal doping leads to dramatic structural changes and results in novel bonding patterns in small boron clusters. Based on the experimentally derived mono-ring planar C9v Ta©B92- (1) and extensive first-principles theory calculations, we present herein the possibility of high-symmetry double-ring tubular D9d Ta@B183- (2) and C9v Ta2@B18 (3) and triple-ring tubular D9h Ta2@B27+ (4), which may serve as embryos of single-walled metalloboronanotube α-Ta3@B48(3,0) (5) wrapped up from the recently observed most stable free-standing boron α-sheet on a Ag(111) substrate with a transition-metal wire (-Ta-Ta-) coordinated inside. Detailed bonding analyses indicate that, with an effective dz2-dz2 overlap on the Ta-Ta dimer along the C9 molecular axis, both Ta2@B18 (3) and Ta2@B27+ (4) follow the universal bonding pattern of σ + π double delocalization with each Ta center conforming to the 18-electron rule, providing tubular aromaticity to these Ta-doped boron complexes with magnetically induced ring currents. The IR, Raman, and UV-vis spectra of 3 and 4 are computationally simulated to facilitate their future experimental characterization.
