Abstract
BACKGROUND Renal microcirculation plays a pivotal role in kidney function by maintaining structural and functional integrity, facilitating oxygen and nutrient delivery, and waste removal. However, a thorough bibliometric analysis in this area remains lacking. Therefore, we aim to provide valuable insights through a bibliometric analysis of renal microcirculation literature using the Web of Science database. METHODS We collected renal microcirculation-related publications from the Web of Science database from January 01, 1990, to December 31, 2022. The co-authorship of authors, organizations, and countries/regions was analyzed with VOSviewer1.6.18. The co-occurrence of keywords and co-cited references were analyzed using CiteSpace6.1.R6 software to generate visualization maps. Additionally, burst detection was applied to keywords and cited references to forecast research hotspots and future trends. RESULTS Our search yielded 7462 publications, with the American Journal of Physiology-Renal Physiology contributing the most articles. The United States, Mayo Clinic, and Lerman Lilach O emerged with the highest publication count, indicating their active collaborations. 'Type 2 diabetes' was the most significant keyword cluster, and 'diabetic kidney disease' was the largest cluster of cited references. 'Cardiovascular outcome' and 'diabetic kidney diseases' were identified as keywords in their burst period over the past three years. CONCLUSION Our bibliometric analysis illuminates the contours of nephrology and microcirculation research, revealing a landscape ripe for challenges and the seeds of future scientific innovation. While the trends discerned from the literature emerging opportunities in diagnostic innovation, renal microcirculation research, and precision medicine interventions, their translation to clinical practice is anticipated to be a deliberate process.

Abstract
Stroke is a major disorder of the central nervous system that poses a serious threat to human life and quality of life. Many stroke victims are left with long-term neurological dysfunction, which adversely affects the well-being of the individual and the broader socioeconomic impact. Currently, post-stroke brain dysfunction is a major and difficult area of treatment. Vagus nerve stimulation is a Food and Drug Administration-approved exploratory treatment option for autism, refractory depression, epilepsy, and Alzheimer's disease. It is expected to be a novel therapeutic technique for the treatment of stroke owing to its association with multiple mechanisms such as altering neurotransmitters and the plasticity of central neurons. In animal models of acute ischemic stroke, vagus nerve stimulation has been shown to reduce infarct size, reduce post-stroke neurological damage, and improve learning and memory capacity in rats with stroke by reducing the inflammatory response, regulating blood-brain barrier permeability, and promoting angiogenesis and neurogenesis. At present, vagus nerve stimulation includes both invasive and non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation. Clinical studies have found that invasive vagus nerve stimulation combined with rehabilitation therapy is effective in improving upper limb motor and cognitive abilities in stroke patients. Further clinical studies have shown that non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation, including ear/cervical vagus nerve stimulation, can stimulate vagal projections to the central nervous system similarly to invasive vagus nerve stimulation and can have the same effect. In this paper, we first describe the multiple effects of vagus nerve stimulation in stroke, and then discuss in depth its neuroprotective mechanisms in ischemic stroke. We go on to outline the results of the current major clinical applications of invasive and non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation. Finally, we provide a more comprehensive evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of different types of vagus nerve stimulation in the treatment of cerebral ischemia and provide an outlook on the developmental trends. We believe that vagus nerve stimulation, as an effective treatment for stroke, will be widely used in clinical practice to promote the recovery of stroke patients and reduce the incidence of disability.

Abstract
Citrus peel is a commonly used food-medicine material in the production of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs). For instance, Ganpu tea is manufactured by combining the peel of Citri Reticulatae 'Chachi' (PCRC) with Pu-erh tea. The alleviated irritation of PCRC through years of aging makes Citri reticulatae Pericarpium a traditional Chinese medicine. Herein, we introduced short-term steaming into the processing of PCRC to favor the quick removal of its irritation while retaining its food-medicine properties. Sensory evaluation and volatile component analysis showed that 60-s steaming reduced irritation of freshly prepared PCRC. Biological evaluations indicated no effects of steaming on the neuroprotective activity of PCRC. The process increased the contents of several bioactive ingredients, including hesperidin, nobiletin, tangeretin, and synephrine. In addition, physical indications of accelerating PCRC aging were observed. Taken together, our findings suggest that short-term steaming may offer a promising new possibility for enhancing the quality of citrus peel.

Accumulating evidence suggests that oxidative stress and the Wnt/β-catenin pathway participate in stroke-induced disruption of the blood-brain barrier. However, the potential links between them following ischemic stroke remain largely unknown. The present study found that cerebral ischemia leads to oxidative stress and repression of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Meanwhile, Wnt/β-catenin pathway activation by the pharmacological inhibitor, TWS119, relieved oxidative stress, increased the levels of cytochrome P450 1B1 (CYP1B1) and tight junction-associated proteins (zonula occludens-1 [ZO-1], occludin and claudin-5), as well as brain microvascular density in cerebral ischemia rats. Moreover, rat brain microvascular endothelial cells that underwent oxygen glucose deprivation/reoxygenation displayed intense oxidative stress, suppression of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, aggravated cell apoptosis, downregulated CYP1B1 and tight junction protein levels, and inhibited cell proliferation and migration. Overexpression of β-catenin or knockdown of β-catenin and CYP1B1 genes in rat brain microvascular endothelial cells at least partly ameliorated or exacerbated these effects, respectively. In addition, small interfering RNA-mediated β-catenin silencing decreased CYP1B1 expression, whereas CYP1B1 knockdown did not change the levels of glycogen synthase kinase 3β, Wnt-3a, and β-catenin proteins in rat brain microvascular endothelial cells after oxygen glucose deprivation/reoxygenation. Thus, the data suggest that CYP1B1 can be regulated by Wnt/β-catenin signaling, and activation of the Wnt/β-catenin/CYP1B1 pathway contributes to alleviation of oxidative stress, increased tight junction levels, and protection of the blood-brain barrier against ischemia/hypoxia-induced injury.

Abstract
Reactive oxygen species (ROS)-centered chemodynamic therapy (CDT) holds significant potential for tumor-specific treatment. However, insufficient endogenous H2O2 and extra glutathione within tumor microenvironment (TME) severely deteriorate the CDT's effectiveness. Herein, rich-Zn-Co3O4/N-doped porous carbon (Zn-Co3O4/NC) was fabricated by two-step pyrolysis, and applied to build high-efficiency nano-platform for synergistic cancer therapy upon combination with glucose oxidase (GOx), labeled Zn-Co3O4/NC-GOx for clarity. Specifically, the multiple enzyme-like activities of the Zn-Co3O4/NC were scrutinously investigated, including peroxidase-like activity to convert H2O2 to O2∙-, catalase-like activity to decompose H2O2 into O2, and oxidase-like activity to transform O2 to O2∙-, which achieved the CDT through the catalytic cascade reaction. Simultaneously, GOx reacted with intracellular glucose to produce gluconic acid and H2O2, realizing starvation therapy. In the acidic TME, the Zn-Co3O4/NC-GOx rapidly caused intracellular Zn2+ pool overload and disrupted cellular homeostasis for ion-intervention therapy. Additionally, the Zn-Co3O4/NC exhibited glutathione peroxidase-like activity, which consumed glutathione in tumor cells and reduced the ROS consumption for ferroptosis. The tumor treatments offer some constructive insights into the nanozyme-mediated catalytic medicine, coupled by avoiding the TME limitations.

Abstract
Compelling evidence has identified circRNAs as crucial regulators in initiation and progression of various cancers, including gastric cancer (GC). However, the function and regulatory mechanisms of circRNAs in GC remain largely unknown. In this study, attention is paid to a novel circular RNA circ1811, which exerts significant downregulated expression in GC tissues compared with adjacent non-cancerous tissues. The expression of circ1811 in GC tumor tissues is negatively correlated with the extent of lymphatic metastasis in GC patients. Overexpression of circ1811 inhibited GC cell proliferation, migration and invasion while promoting apoptosis, whereas knockdown of circ1811 led to the opposite effects. AGO2 RIP and dual luciferase reporter assays indicated that circ1811 directly sponges miR-632 to upregulate the expression of DAPK1. Collectively, circ1811 acts as a tumor-suppressor for GC progression by regulating the miR-632/DAPK1 axis. Our findings suggest the potential of circ1811 as ideal biomarker and therapeutic target for GC.

Abstract
The electrochemical performance of pristine metal-organic xerogels as anodes in lithium-ion batteries is reported for the first time. We propose a novel synthesis approach for the in situ generation of highly dispersed, ultrafine cobalt sulfide nanoparticles on humic acid gels (CoSHA). The CoS nanoparticles in CoSHA have an average diameter of approximately 3 nm. CoSHA electrodes demonstrate enhanced lithium storage capacity, delivering a capacity of 662 mAh g-1 at 0.1 A g-1. They also show stable long-term cycling performance, with no capacity decay after 900 cycles at 1.0 A g-1. Furthermore, our experiments indicate that the improved lithium-ion adsorption results from the oxygen-containing functional groups in humic acid and the ultrafine CoS active sites. This study offers a practical methodology for synthesizing ultrafine metal sulfides and new insights into using pristine gel-based electrodes for energy storage and conversion.

Abstract
Generative Flow Networks (GFlowNets) aim to generate diverse trajectories from a distribution in which the final states of the trajectories are proportional to the reward, serving as a powerful alternative to reinforcement learning for exploratory control tasks. However, the individual-flow matching constraint in GFlowNets limits their applications for multi-agent systems, especially continuous joint-control problems. In this paper, we propose a novel Multi-Agent generative Continuous Flow Networks (MACFN) method to enable multiple agents to perform cooperative exploration for various compositional continuous objects. Technically, MACFN trains decentralized individual-flow-based policies in a centralized global-flow-based matching fashion. During centralized training, MACFN introduces a continuous flow decomposition network to deduce the flow contributions of each agent in the presence of only global rewards. Then agents can deliver actions solely based on their assigned local flow in a decentralized way, forming a joint policy distribution proportional to the rewards. To guarantee the expressiveness of continuous flow decomposition, we theoretically derive a consistency condition on the decomposition network. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method yields results superior to the state-of-the-art counterparts and better exploration capability. Abstract
Different types of clinical wounds are difficult to treat while infected by bacteria. Wound repair involves multiple cellular and molecular interactions, which is a complicated process. However, wound repair often suffers from abnormal cellular functions or pathways that result in unavoidable side effects, so there is an urgent need for a material that can heal wounds quickly and with few side effects. Based on these needs, hydrogels with injectable properties have been confirmed to be able to undergo self-healing, which provides favorable conditions for wound healing. Notably, as a biopolymer with excellent easy-to-modify properties from a wide range of natural sources, chitosan can be used to prepare injectable hydrogel with multifunction for wound healing because of its outstanding flowability and injectability. Especially, chitosan-based hydrogels with marked biocompatibility, non-toxicity, and bio-adhesion properties are ideal for facilitating wound healing. In this review, the characteristics and healing mechanisms of different wounds are briefly summarized. In addition, the preparation and characterization of injectable chitosan hydrogels in recent years are classified. Additionally, the bioactive properties of this type of hydrogel in vitro and in vivo are demonstrated, and future trend in wound healing is prospected.

Abstract
Objectives The objective of this study is to evaluate the value of S100-A8 protein as a diagnostic marker for spinal tuberculosis and to explore its role in the potential pathogenesis of spinal tuberculosis (STB). Methods The peripheral blood of 100 spinal tuberculosis patients admitted to the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from September 2018 to June 2021 were collected as the observation group, and the peripheral blood of 30 healthy medical examiners were collected as the control group. Three samples from the observation group and three samples from the control group were selected for proteomics detection and screening of differential proteins. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes (KEGG) was used to enrich and analyze related signaling pathways to confirm the target protein. The serum expression levels of the target proteins were determined and compared between the two groups using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Statistical methods were used to evaluate the value of target protein as a diagnostic marker for STB. A macrophage model of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection was constructed and S100-A8 small interfering RNA was used to investigate the molecular mechanism of the target protein. Results S100-A8 protein has the value of diagnosing spinal tuberculosis (AUC = 0.931, p < 0.001), and the expression level in the peripheral blood of the observation group (59.04 ± 19.37 ng/mL) was significantly higher than that of the control group (43.16 ± 10.07 ng/mL) (p < 0.05). S100-A8 protein expression showed a significant positive correlation with both CRP and ESR values (p < 0.01). Its AUCs for combined bacteriological detection, T-SPOT results, diagnostic imaging, antacid staining results, and pathological results were 0.705 (p < 0.05), 0.754 (p < 0.01), 0.716 (p < 0.01), 0.656 (p < 0.05), and 0.681 (p < 0.01), respectively. Lack of S100-A8 leads to a significant decrease in the expression levels of TLR4 and IL-17A in infected macrophages. Conclusion S100-A8 protein is differentially expressed in the peripheral blood of patients with spinal tuberculosis and healthy individuals and may be a novel candidate biomarker for the diagnosis of spinal tuberculosis. The feedback loop on the S100-A8-TLR4-IL-17A axis may play an important role in the inflammatory mechanism of spinal tuberculosis.

Abstract
NAD(P)H: quinine oxidoreductase (NQO1) is overexpressed in many types of cancer cells, and have been used as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and targeted therapy. The development of activatable theranostic agents is highly desirable for precise cancer diagnosis and therapy. Herein, a NQO1-activated near-infrared multifunctional theranostic probe I-HCy-Q is successfully developed for imaging guided photodynamic therapy. The NIR fluorescence (λex/em = 685/703 nm) and capacity of reactive oxygen species generation are sensitive controllable by the level of NQO1, the linear detection range of NQO1 and limit of detection are 0.05-1.5 μg/mL and 5.66 ng/mL, respectively. On the one hand, I-HCy-Q can monitor the activity of NQO1 and distinguish the NQO1 positive cancer cells; on the other hand, the capacity of mitochondria-targeted photodynamic therapy makes I-HCy-Q an effective inducer of apoptosis and immunogenic cell death. Attribute to its complementary advantages, I-HCy-Q holds potential for the imaging and treatment of tumors in complex organisms.

Abstract
Particle size is a critical influencing factor in assessing human exposure risk as fine particles are generally more hazardous than larger coarse particles. However, how particle composition influences human health risk is only poorly understood as different studies have different utilised different definitions and as a consequence there is no consensus. Here, with a new methodology taking insights of each size fraction load (%GSFload), metal bioaccessibility, we classify which specific particle size can reliably estimate the human exposure risk of lead and other metals. We then validate these by correlating the metals in each size fraction with those in human blood, hair, crop grain and different anthropogenic sources. Although increasing health risks are linked to metal concentration these increase as particle size decrease, the adjusted-risk for each size fraction differs when %GSFload is introduced to the risk assessment program. When using a single size fraction (250-50 µm, 50-5 µm, 5-1 µm, and < 1 µm) for comparison, the risk may be either over- or under-estimated. However, by considering bulk and adjusting the risk, it would be possible to obtain results that are closer to the real scenarios, which have been validated through human responses and evidence from crops. Fine particle size fractions (< 5 µm) bearing the mineral crystalline or aggregates (CaCO3, Fe3O4, Fe2O3, CaHPO4, Pb5(PO4)3Cl) alter the accumulation, chemical speciation, and fate of metals in soil/dust/sediment from the different sources. Loaded lead in the size fraction of < 50 µm has a significantly higher positive association with the risk-receptor biomarkers (BLLs, Hair Pb, Corn Pb, and Crop Pb) than other size fractions (bulk and 50-250 µm). Thus, we conclude that the < 50 µm fraction would be likely to be recommended as a reliable fraction to include in a risk assessment program. This methodology acts as a valuable instrument for future research undertakings, highlighting the importance of choosing suitable size fractions and attaining improved accuracy in risk assessment results that can be effectively compared.

Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is one of the most common tumors in the world. Human insulin-like growth factor 2(IGF2) mRNA binding protein 2(IGF2BP2) plays an important role in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma. Additionally, long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) has been confirmed as a key regulator of hepatocellular carcinoma occurrence. However, the function of TRPC7-AS1 has not been verified in hepatocellular carcinoma. The research results revealed that high IGF2BP2 expression was associated with a decreased survival rate in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Furthermore, IGF2BP2 knockdown inhibited and IGF2BP2 overexpression promoted the cell proliferation and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The research illuminated that IGF2BP2 regulated the expression of TRPC7-AS1, and a correlation was observed between IGF2BP2 and TRPC7-AS1 expression. TRPC7-AS1 silencing repressed and its overexpression promoted the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma. After silencing or overexpressing TRPC7-AS1, the expression of the high-mobility group AT-hook 2 (HMGA2) gene decreased or increased, respectively. IGF2BP2 enhanced the expression of TRPC7-AS1 and thus affected the expression of HMGA2, thereby promoting hepatocellular carcinoma progression.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Immune mechanisms play a crucial role in the development of stroke. However, immune-related phenotypes are diverse and their associations with stroke are largely unknown. Here, we aimed to systematically explore the causal role of immune cell traits in stroke and its subtypes by leveraging data from genome-wide association studies (GWASs). MATERIALS AND METHODS Exposure data were obtained from a recent GWAS on 731 immune cell traits profiled by flow cytometry involving 3757 individuals. By conducting two-sample univariable Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses, each immune cell trait was assessed for causal relationships with stroke outcomes from the MEGASTROKE Consortium (40,585 cases and 406,111 controls). The robustness of the MR results was verified by a series of sensitivity analyses. RESULTS We identified three significant associations after Bonferroni correction (P < 1.37E-05). Increased CD27 expression on memory B cell (OR = 1.23, 95% CI = 1.14-1.33, P = 2.78E-08), IgD-CD38dim B cell (OR = 1.16, 95% CI = 1.09-1.23, P = 5.98E-06) and unswitched memory B cell (OR = 1.18, 95% CI = 1.10-1.27, P = 1.09E-05) were associated with a higher risk of large-artery atherosclerotic stroke (LAS). Furthermore, expression quantitative trait loci data also indicated elevated blood CD27 mRNA level was a risk factor for LAS (OR = 1.37, 95% CI = 1.02-1.84, P = 0.037). CONCLUSIONS This study provided genetic evidence of the causal relationship between immune cell traits and stroke, highlighting the role of CD27 on memory B cell as a novel factor for LAS risk.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Epidemiological and experimental evidences have implicated chronic inflammation in the association with allergic rhinitis (AR). However, it remains unclear whether specific circulating cytokines are the cause of AR or the consequence of bias. To examine whether genetic-predicted changes in circulating cytokine concentrations are related to the occurrence of AR, we conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. METHODS We investigated the causal effects of 26 circulating inflammatory cytokines on AR through MR analysis. The primary method employed in this study was the inverse variance-weighted (IVW) method. Sensitivity analyses were conducted using simple median, weighted median, penalized weighted median, and MR-Egger regression. RESULTS Our study revealed suggestive evidence that higher levels of circulating IL-18 (OR per one standard deviation [SD] increase: 1.006; 95 % CI, 1.002 to 1.011; P = 0.006, PFDR = 0.067, random-effects IVW method) and Macrophage inflammatory protein-1α (MIP-1α) (OR per one SD increase: 1.015; 95 % CI, 1.004 to 1.026; P = 0.009, PFDR = 0.048, random-effects IVW method) were associated with an increased risk of AR. Conversely, higher levels of circulating TRAIL were associated with a decreased risk of AR (OR per one SD increase: 0.993; 95 % CI, 0.989 to 0.997; P = 4.58E-4, PFDR = 0.004, random-effects IVW method). Only the results of TRAIL exist after Bonferroni-correction (the p-value < 0.0019). Sensitivity analysis yielded directionally consistent results. No significant associations were observed between other circulating inflammatory cytokines and AR. CONCLUSION Genetically predicted levels of IL-18, and MIP-1α are likely to associated with an increased risk of AR occurrence. Genetically predicted levels of TRAIL are statistically significant in reducing the risk of AR occurrence. However, the current research evidence does not support an impact of other inflammatory cytokines on the risk of AR. Future studies are needed to provide additional evidence to support the current conclusions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sedentary behavior has been demonstrated to be a modifiable factor for several chronic diseases, while coffee consumption is believed to be beneficial for health. However, the joint associations of daily sitting time and coffee consumption with mortality remains poorly understood. This study aimed to evaluate the independent and joint associations of daily sitting time and coffee intakes with mortality from all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) among US adults. METHODS An analysis of a prospective cohort from the 2007-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey of US adults (n = 10,639). Data on mortality were compiled from interview and physical examination data until December 31, 2019. Daily sitting time was self-reported. Coffee beverages were from the 24-hour diet recall interview. The main outcomes of the study were all-cause and cardiovascular disease mortality. The adjusted hazard ratios [HRs] and 95% confidence intervals [CI] were imputed by Cox proportional hazards regression. RESULTS Among 10,639 participants in the study cohort, there were 945 deaths, 284 of whom died of CVD during the follow-up period of up to 13 years. Multivariable models showed that sitting more than 8 h/d was associated with higher risks of all-cause (HR, 1.46; 95% CI, 1.17-1.81) and CVD (HR, 1.79; 95% CI, 1.21-2.66) mortality, compared with those sitting for less than 4 h/d. People with the highest quartile of coffee consumption were observed for the reduced risks of both all-cause (HR, 0.67; 95% CI, 0.54-0.84) and CVD (HR, 0.46; 95% CI, 0.30-0.69) mortality compared with non-coffee consumers. Notably, joint analyses firstly showed that non-coffee drinkers who sat six hours or more per day were 1.58 (95% CI, 1.25-1.99) times more likely to die of all causes than coffee drinkers sitting for less than six hours per day, indicating that the association of sedentary with increased mortality was only observed among adults with no coffee consumption but not among those who had coffee intake. CONCLUSIONS This study identified that sedentary behavior for more than 6 h/d accompanied with non-coffee consumption, were strongly associated with the increased risk of mortality from all-cause and CVD.

Abstract
Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has gained considerable attention in the management of head and neck cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (HNcSCC). The aim of this study was to compare the oncologic outcomes between observation and SLNB in cN0 high-risk HNcSCC patients. We retrospectively enrolled patients from the SEER database and evaluated the impact of observation versus SLNB on disease-specific survival (DSS) and overall survival (OS) using a Propensity Score Matching (PSM) analysis. A total of 9804 patients were included, with 1169 cases treated by SLNB. Successful retrieval of the sentinel lymph node was achieved in 1130 procedures. After PSM and subsequent multivariate analysis, SLNB was found to be an independent predictor for improved DSS, with a hazard ratio of 0.70 (95% confidence interval: 0.56-0.86). In patients presenting with two or three high-risk factors, SLNB was associated with better DSS (p = 0.021 and p = 0.044), but similar OS (p = 0.506 and p = 0.801) when compared to observation. However, in patients exhibiting four high-risk factors, SLNB demonstrated significantly improved DSS (p = 0.040) and OS (p = 0.028) compared to observation. Our findings suggest that SLNB is a highly feasible technique in HNcSCC and provides significant survival benefits. It is strongly recommended in patients with two or more high-risk factors, as it can help guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Abstract
Knowledge about the effect of different prostate biopsy approaches on the prostate cancer detection rate (CDR) in patients with gray-zone prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is limited. We performed this study to compare the CDR among patients who underwent different biopsy approaches and had rising PSA levels in the gray zone. Two hundred and twenty-two patients who underwent transrectal prostate biopsy (TRB) and 216 patients who underwent transperineal prostate biopsy (TPB) between June 2016 and September 2022 were reviewed in this study. In addition, 110 patients who received additional targeted biopsies following the systematic TPB were identified. Clinical parameters, including age, PSA derivative, prostate volume (PV), and needle core count, were recorded. The data were fitted via propensity score matching (PSM), adjusting for potential confounders. TPB outperformed TRB in terms of the CDR (49.6% vs 28.3%, P = 0.001). The clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) detection rate was not significantly different between TPB and TRB (78.6% vs 68.8%, P = 0.306). In stratified analysis, TPB outperformed TRB in CDR when the age of patients was 65-75 years (59.0% vs 22.0%, P < 0.001), when PV was 25.00-50.00 ml (63.2% vs 28.3%, P < 0.001), and when needle core count was no more than 12 (58.5% vs 31.5%, P = 0.005). The CDR (P = 0.712) and detection rate of csPCa (P = 0.993) did not significantly differ among the systematic, targeted, and combined biopsies. TPB outperformed TRB in CDR for patients with gray-zone PSA. Moreover, performing target biopsy after systematic TPB provided no additional benefits in CDR.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the oncologic safety and quality of life associated with the use of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) as compared to elective neck dissection (END) in patients with cT1/2N0 maxillary squamous cell carcinoma. METHODS This study constituted a retrospective analysis of consecutively treated patients who underwent SLNB or END, with data collected prospectively. We analyzed the impact of the different neck procedures on regional control and disease-specific survival via the Cox model. Patients in both groups completed the University of Washington Quality of Life questionnaire. RESULTS We included a total of 130 patients, with 47 receiving SLNB. In all cases, the sentinel lymph node could be identified, and of these, 5 had a positive result, yielding a sensitivity of 83.3 %, a specificity of 100 %, a false negative rate of 16.7 %, and a negative predictive value of 97.6 %. The sensitivity, specificity, false negative rate, and negative predictive value of END in detecting occult metastasis were 64.3 %, 100 %, 35.7 %, and 93.2 %, respectively. In comparison to END after propensity score matching, SLNB exhibited no significant difference in its effects on regional control (p = 0.519, HR: 1.05, 95 % CI: 0.52-1.93) and disease-specific survival (p = 0.634, HR: 1.22, 95 % CI: 0.53-1.99). Patients in SLNB group showed significantly higher mean scores of shoulder and taste domains at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months postoperatively compared to those in END group. CONCLUSION SLNB could act as a viable alternative to END in cT1/2N0 maxillary squamous cell carcinoma with comparable prognosis and better quality of life.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Scalp high-frequency oscillations (sHFOs) are a promising non-invasive biomarker of epilepsy. However, the visual marking of sHFOs is a time-consuming and subjective process, existing automatic detectors based on single-dimensional analysis have difficulty with accurately eliminating artifacts and thus do not provide sufficient reliability to meet clinical needs. Therefore, we propose a high-performance sHFOs detector based on a deep learning algorithm. METHODS An initial detection module was designed to extract candidate high-frequency oscillations. Then, one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) deep learning models were designed, respectively. Finally, the weighted voting method is used to combine the outputs of the two model. RESULTS In experiments, the precision, recall, specificity and F1-score were 83.44%, 83.60%, 96.61% and 83.42%, respectively, on average and the kappa coefficient was 80.02%. In addition, the proposed detector showed a stable performance on multi-centre datasets. CONCLUSIONS Our sHFOs detector demonstrated high robustness and generalisation ability, which indicates its potential applicability as a clinical assistance tool. SIGNIFICANCE The proposed sHFOs detector achieves an accurate and robust method via deep learning algorithm.

Abstract
It is important to investigate the responses of greenhouse gases to climate change (temperature, precipitation) and anthropogenic factors in plateau wetland. Based on the DNDC model, we used meteorological, soil, and land cover data to simulate the soil CO2 emission pattern and its responses to climate change and anthropogenic factors in Guizhou, China. The results showed that the mean soil CO2 emission flux in the Caohai Karst Plateau Wetland was 5.89 ± 0.17 t·C·ha-1·yr-1 from 2000 to 2019, and the annual variation showed an increasing trend with the rate of 23.02 kg·C·ha-1·yr-1. The soil total annual mean CO2 emissions were 70.62 ± 2.04 Gg·C·yr-1 (annual growth rate was 0.28 Gg·C·yr-1). Caohai wetland has great spatial heterogeneity. The emissions around Caohai Lake were high (the areas with high, middle, and low values accounted for 3.07%, 70.96%, and 25.97%, respectively), and the emission pattern was characterized by a decrease in radiation from Caohai Lake to the periphery. In addition, the cropland and forest areas exhibited high intensities (7.21 ± 0.15 t·C·ha-1·yr-1 and 6.73 ± 0.58 t·C·ha-1·yr-1, respectively) and high total emissions (54.97 ± 1.16 Gg·C·yr-1 and 10.24 ± 0.88 Gg·C·yr-1, respectively). Croplands and forests were the major land cover types controlling soil CO2 emissions in the Caohai wetland, while anthropogenic factors (cultivation) significantly increased soil CO2 emissions. Results showed that the soil CO2 emissions were positively correlated with temperature and precipitation; and the temperature change had a greater impact on soil respiration than the change in precipitation. Our results indicated that future climate change (increased temperature and precipitation) may promote an increase in soil CO2 emissions in karst plateau wetlands, and reasonable control measures (e.g. returning cropland to lakes and reducing anthropogenic factors) are the keys to controlling CO2 emissions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy, as an emerging anti-tumor treatment, has garnered extensive attention in the study of targeted therapy of multiple tumor-associated antigens in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the suppressive microenvironment and individual heterogeneity results in downregulation of these antigens in certain patients' cancer cells. Therefore, optimizing CAR-T cell therapy for HCC is imperative. METHODS In this study, we administered FGFR4-ferritin (FGFR4-HPF) nanoparticles to the alpaca and constructed a phage library of nanobodies (Nbs) derived from alpaca, following which we screened for Nbs targeting FGFR4. Then, we conducted the functional validation of Nbs. Furthermore, we developed Nb-derived CAR-T cells and evaluated their anti-tumor ability against HCC through in vitro and in vivo validation. RESULTS Our findings demonstrated that we successfully obtained high specificity and high affinity Nbs targeting FGFR4 after screening. And the specificity of Nbs targeting FGFR4 was markedly superior to their binding to other members of the FGFR family proteins. Furthermore, the Nb-derived CAR-T cells, targeting FGFR4, exhibited significantly enhanced anti-tumor efficacy in both experiments when in vitro and in vivo. CONCLUSIONS In summary, the results of this study suggest that the CAR-T cells derived from high specificity and high affinity Nbs, targeting FGFR4, exhibited significantly enhanced anti-tumor efficacy in vitro and in vivo. This is an exploration of FGFR4 in the field of Nb-derived CAR-T cell therapy for HCC, holding promise for enhancing safety and effectiveness in the clinical treatment of HCC in the future.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Urinary incontinence (UI) is a great problem of public health, especially for women's quality of life. UI afflicts at least 21.6% of the global population, and more than half of the UI is related to female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Mawangdui Guidance plays an important role in preventing diseases and maintaining health. METHODS Sixty female patients with SUI were randomly divided into a control group (n = 30) and an experimental group (n = 30). Patients in both groups were treated with basic rehabilitation therapy under the guidance of rehabilitation therapists who were trained in Mawangdui Guidance, based on the former, the experimental group was taught to exercise Mawangdui Guidance(including selected movements: "Qishi," "Longdeng," "Chishi," and "Yinyao"), while the control group performed Kegel exercise with a procedure of 20 min, six times per week for 6 weeks. The function was mainly evaluated by the 1 h pad-test, incontinence quality of life questionnaire (I-QOL), and international consultation on incontinence questionnaire urinary incontinence short form (ICI-Q-SF). In addition, evaluation of pelvic floor muscle function was also included in our assessment. RESULTS The leakage of urine in the 1 h pad-test was significantly decreased in both two groups after treatment (P < .05), and the urine leakage in the experimental group was significantly less than that in the control group (P < .05). The muscle strength of type I and II muscle fibers of the pelvic floor, intravaginal pressure, and I-QOL score in both two groups were increased after treatment; moreover, the experimental group was more significant than the control group (P <.05). The fatigue degree of type I and type II muscle fibers of the pelvic floor, and the ICI-Q-SF score in both groups were significantly improved after treatment (P < .05); however, there were no differences between these two groups. The total effective rate of the experimental group was 90.00%, and 76.67% in the control group (P <.05). CONCLUSION Mawangdui Guidance can effectively improve the function of pelvic floor muscle, improve the ability of urine storage and control, and alleviate the symptoms of female patients with SUI. However, the international research on Mawangdui Guidance is very limited, and more in-depth research is needed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Several studies have indicated that the triglyceride-glucose index (TyG) index is associated with hypertension; however, evidence on the association of change in the TyG index with blood pressure and hypertension is limited. AIMS To assess the association of the TyG index with blood pressure and hypertension. DESIGN A cohort study. METHODS We included 17 977 individuals with a mean age of 60.5 years from the Dongfeng-Tongji cohort. The TyG index was calculated as ln [fasting triglyceride (mg/dl)×fasting glucose (mg/dl)/2]. Hypertension was defined as blood pressure ≥140/90 mmHg, self-reported current use of antihypertensive medication or self-reported physician diagnosis of hypertension. RESULTS In the longitudinal analyses, we found a linear dose-response relationship between changes in the TyG index and change in blood pressure. Each one-unit change in the TyG index was associated with a 1.93 (1.23-2.63) mmHg increase in systolic blood pressure (SBP) and a 1.78 (1.42-2.16) mmHg increase in diastolic blood pressure (DBP). During a median follow-up of 9.37 years, a total of 3594 individuals were newly diagnosed with hypertension. We also found a linear dose-response relationship between the TyG index and the incidence of hypertension. The hazard ratio (HR) of hypertension for each one-unit increase in the TyG index was 1.21 (1.13-1.29). In addition, the best cut-off point of TyG for predicting hypertension was 8.4797, with sensitivity, and specificity of 57.85% and 55.40%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The TyG index had a positive dose-response relationship with blood pressure and could be used to predict the risk of hypertension.

Abstract
Purpose Sialidosis type 2 has variants that are both catalytically inactive (severe), while sialidosis type 1 has at least one catalytically active (mild) variant. This study aimed to discuss the structural changes associated with these variants in a newly reported family carrying NEU1 variants and explore the clinical characteristics of different combinations of variants in sialidosis type 1. Methods First, whole-exome sequencing and detailed clinical examination were performed on the family. Second, structural analysis, including energy, flexibility and polar contacts, was conducted for several NEU1 variants, and a sialidase activity assay was performed. Third, previous NEU1 variants were systematically reviewed, and the clinical characteristics of patients in the severe-mild and mild-mild groups with sialidosis type 1 were analyzed. Results We report a novel family with sialidosis type 1 and the compound heterozygous variants S182G and V143E. The newly identified V143E variant was predicted to be a mild variant through structural analysis and was confirmed by sialidase activity assay. The cherry-red spot was more prevalent in the severe-mild group, and ataxia was more common in the mild-mild group. Impaired cognition was found only in the severe-mild group. Moreover, patients with cherry-red spots and abnormal EEGs and VEPs had a relatively early age of onset, whereas patients with myoclonus had a late onset. Conclusion Changes in flexibility and local polar contacts may be indicators of the NEU1 pathogenicity. Sialidosis type 1 can be divided into two subgroups according to the variant combinations, and patients with these two subtypes have different clinical characteristics.

Abstract
Sepsis is recognized as a major contributor to the global disease burden, but there is a lack of specific and effective therapeutic agents. Utilizing Mendelian randomization (MR) methods alongside evidence of causal genetics presents a chance to discover novel targets for therapeutic intervention. MR approach was employed to investigate potential drug targets for sepsis. Pooled statistics from IEU-B-4980 comprising 11,643 cases and 474,841 controls were initially utilized, and the findings were subsequently replicated in the IEU-B-69 (10,154 cases and 454,764 controls). Causal associations were then validated through colocalization. Furthermore, a range of sensitivity analyses, including MR-Egger intercept tests and Cochran's Q tests, were conducted to evaluate the outcomes of the MR analyses. Three drug targets (PSMA4, IFNAR2, and LY9) exhibited noteworthy MR outcomes in two separate datasets. Notably, PSMA4 demonstrated not only an elevated susceptibility to sepsis (OR 1.32, 95% CI 1.20-1.45, p = 1.66E-08) but also exhibited a robust colocalization with sepsis (PPH4 = 0.74). According to the present MR analysis, PSMA4 emerges as a highly encouraging pharmaceutical target for addressing sepsis. Suppression of PSMA4 could potentially decrease the likelihood of sepsis.

Abstract
Well-being is one of the central topics in psychology, and research on this topic has shifted from emotional experiences to flourishing life in recent years. Seligman's PERMA model is a prominent theory in this shift. However, this model is proposed in Western culture and has yet to be empirically validated in the Chinese context. The present research aims to examine the applicability of the five-dimension PERMA-Profiler in Chinese culture, which has been developed based on the PERMA model. A sample of 1468 Chinese adults participated in the research. After translation and validation, a series of psychometric analyses were conducted to examine the internal consistency reliability, construct validity, convergent and discriminant validity, and factorial invariance across genders. The PERMA-Profiler Chinese showed high Cronbach's alpha coefficients (α = 0.79-0.88), good divergent (r = -0.19 to -0.38) and convergent validity (r = 0.53-0.85), as well as satisfactory structural validity. Results of the structural validity demonstrated a better fit to the first-order model with five correlated factors after modification (χ2/df = 4.65, RMSEA = 0.058, SRMR = 0.030, CFI = 0.943, TLI = 0.924) than the second-order model with a higher-order factor of well-being. However, the engagement dimension of the PERMA-Profiler Chinese could be improved further. In conclusion, the PERMA model is applicable to the Chinese culture, and the PERMA-Profiler provides a valid measure of well-being for Chinese adults.

Abstract
Bioisosteric replacement has emerged as a clear strategy for drug-structure optimization. Naphthalene is the core element of many chiral pharmaceuticals and drug candidates. However, as a promising isostere of naphthalene, the chiral version of 1,2-benzazaborine has rarely been explored due to the lack of efficient synthetic methods. Here we describe a copper-catalysed enantioselective hydroboration of alkenes with 1,2-benzazaborines. The method provides a general platform for the atom-economic and efficient construction of diverse chiral 1,2-benzazaborine compounds (more than 60 examples) that bear a 2-carbon-stereogenic centre or allene skeleton in high yields and excellent enantioselectivities. Three 1,2-benzazaborine analogues of bioactive chiral naphthalene-containing molecules have been prepared, and a series of transformations around chiral 1,2-benzazaborines have also been developed. Notably, the hydroboration process of this study reveals that the identity of 1,2-benzazaborine plays an essential role in the rate-determining step and catalyst resting state.

Abstract
CircRNAs (circular RNAs) reduce the abundance of miRNAs through ceRNA (competing endogenous RNA), to regulate many physiological processes and stress responses in plants. However, the role of circRNA in drought stress is poorly understood. Through ring identification and sequencing verification of ath-circ032768, bioinformatics analysis predicted the interaction of ath-circ032768-miR472-RPS5, and further obtained transgenic plants overexpressing ath-circ032768 and silencing STTM-miR472. The change in drought stress was analysed using biochemical and molecular biological methods. Sequencing and biological analysis confirmed that ath-circ032768, miR472 and RPS5 were responsive to drought stress, and changes in gene expression were consistent with the prediction of ceRNA. The silencing vectors ath-circ032768 and STTM-miR472 were constructed using molecular biology techniques, and stable transgenic plants with drought tolerance obtained. Further physiological and biochemical studies showed that ath-circ032768 could bind to miR472, and that miR472 could bind to the RPS5 gene, resulting in decreased expression of RPS5. Hence, ath-circ032768 can competitively inhibit degradation of RPS5 by miR472 through ceRNA. This process is accompanied by increased expression of DREB2A, RD29A and RD29B genes. Through the ath-circ032768-miR472-RPS5 pathway, the RPS5 stress resistance protein interacts with DREB2A protein to enhance expression of downstream drought resistance genes, RD29A and RD29B, and participate in the regulation mechanism of plant drought resistance, thereby improving drought tolerance of plants.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the potential clinical biological factors influencing the major pathological response (MPR) to neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy in patients with resectable head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Methods: This retrospective study enrolled patients with resectable HNSCC who underwent neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center from June 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021. Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the correlation between clinical characteristics, inflammatory markers and MPR, and a nomogram model was constructed. The calibration curve and decision curve analysis were used to verify the predictive ability and accuracy of the nomogram model. Results: A total of 173 patients were included in the study, with 141 males and 32 females, aged from 22 to 83 years. After pathological assessment, the patients were divided into two groups: MPR group (108 cases) and non MPR group (65 cases). Logistics regression analysis indicated that the patients with HPV+oropharyngeal cancer, partial response or complete response by imaging assessment, low pre-treatment platelet/lymphocyte ratio, low pre-treatment C reactive protein/albumin ratio and lower pre-and post-treatment C reactive protein/albumin ratio difference were more likely to have MPR (all P<0.05). Nomogram model was constructed based on the above factors, with a C-index of 0.826 (95%CI: 0.760-0.892), and the calibration curve and decision curve analysis confirmed the prediction accuracy of the model. Conclusion: This study shows that many factors are related to MPR of patients with resectable HNSCC receiving neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy and the constructed nomogram model helps to develop personalized treatment strategies for the patients.

Here, we observe a light-induced giant enhancement of nonreciprocal transport at the superconducting and epitaxial CaZrO3/KTaO3 (111) interfaces. The nonreciprocal transport coefficient undergoes a giant increase with three orders of magnitude up to 105 A-1 T-1. Furthermore, a strong Rashba spin-orbit coupling effective field of 14.7 T is achieved with abundant high-mobility photocarriers under ultraviolet illumination, which accounts for the giant enhancement of nonreciprocal transport coefficient. Our first-principles calculations further disclose the stronger Rashba spin-orbit coupling strength and the longer relaxation time in the photocarrier excitation process, bridging the light-property quantitative relationship. Our work provides an alternative pathway to boost nonreciprocal transport in noncentrosymmetric systems and facilitates the promising applications in opto-rectification devices and spin-orbitronic devices.

Abstract
Intimal hyperplasia is a complicated pathophysiological phenomenon attributable to in-stent restenosis, and the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Interleukin enhancer-binding factor 3 (ILF3), a double-stranded RNA-binding protein involved in regulating mRNA stability, has been recently demonstrated to assume a crucial role in cardiovascular disease; nevertheless, its impact on intimal hyperplasia remains unknown. In current study, we used samples of human restenotic arteries and rodent models of intimal hyperplasia, we found that vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) ILF3 expression was markedly elevated in human restenotic arteries and murine ligated carotid arteries. SMC-specific ILF3 knockout mice significantly suppressed injury induced neointimal formation. In vitro, platelet-derived growth factor type BB (PDGF-BB) treatment elevated the level of VSMC ILF3 in a dose- and time-dependent manner. ILF3 silencing markedly inhibited PDGF-BB-induced phenotype switching, proliferation, and migration in VSMCs. Transcriptome sequencing and RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing depicted that ILF3 maintained its stability upon binding to the mRNA of the high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1), thereby exerting an inhibitory effect on the transcription of dual specificity phosphatase 16 (DUSP16) through enhanced phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). Therefore, the results both in vitro and in vivo indicated that the loss of ILF3 in VSMC ameliorated neointimal hyperplasia by regulating the STAT3/DUSP16 axis through the degradation of HMGB1 mRNA. Our findings revealed that vascular injury activates VSMC ILF3, which in turn promotes intima formation. Consequently, targeting specific VSMC ILF3 may present a potential therapeutic strategy for ameliorating cardiovascular restenosis.

Abstract
1. This study focused on the relationship between MITF mRNA expression and plumage colour in quail and the effect of promoter methylation on the expression of MITF mRNA.2. The CDS region of MITF mRNA was cloned by RT-PCR, followed by DNA sequencing. The RT-qPCR method was used to analyse the expression levels of MITF mRNA in dorsal skin tissue in Korean quail and Beijing white quail. The promoter region of the MITF gene was cloned, and the CpG island was predicted by the CpGplot program. The methylation levels of the CpG island were analysed using BS-PCR technology.3. Quail MITF mRNA contains a 1,476 bp complete ORF, which encodes a 492 amino acid residue protein. The MITF protein has no signal peptide or transmembrane region. The expression of MITF mRNA in dorsal tissue of Korean quail was significantly higher than that in Beijing white quail (p < 0.01). Abundant cis-elements and a 346 bp CpG island were found in the promoter region of the MITF gene. The average methylation level of the CpG island was 22 (22%) in Korean quail, and 46 (30%) in Beijing white quail (p < 0.05).4. The hypermethylation of the MITF gene promoter region in Beijing white quail resulted in a decrease in expression level, which was related to white feather colour.

Abstract
Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii-dominated harmful algae blooms (HABs) have been reported globally in recent years. However, our understanding of the ecology of C. raciborskii in natural conditions is still poor. In this study, we collected the water samples from a C. raciborskii-blooming lake, Yilong Lake, in Yunnan province, China, and used both culture-dependent and culture-independent approaches to investigate their microbial communities and the interactions between C. raciborskii and the other bacteria. The composition and diversity of microbial communities were revealed with 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing data analysis. Microbial co-occurrences analysis suggests C. raciborskii may have complex associations with other bacteria. Based on co-inoculation tests, we obtained 14 strains of bacterial strains from the water samples that exhibited either algicidal or promoting effects on a strain of C. raciborskii. Two bacterial isolates exhibited a consistent performance between co-occurrence analysis and experimental result. Effects of these bacteria-algae interspecies interactions on the bloom event were discussed. All these results may shed new insights into the C. raciborskii-dominated blooms and how its interspecies relationships with other bacteria may influence the bloom events in eutrophic waters over the world.

Abstract
Objective: To report the initial results of an randomized clinical trail comparing the safety and efficacy between 7.5F and 9.2F flexible ureteroscope (FUS) in the management of renal calculi <2 cm. Materials and Methods: Eighty patients were enrolled and received retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) with a different size FUS. The operation results and complications were compared. Results: Two cases in the 7.5F group and four cases in the 9.2F group failed to insert the 12/14F ureteral access sheath (UAS), respectively, and no significant difference (p = 0.396) was noted. However, 10/12F UAS was inserted in the 7.5F group, but not available in the 9.2F group, and thus, the 10/12F UAS inserting rate in the 7.5F group was higher than in the 9.2F group (100% vs 0%, p = 0.014), and the UAS insertion failure rate in 9.2F group was higher than in the 7.5F group (10% vs 0%, p = 0.040). The operation time in 7.5F group was shorter than the 9.2F group (35.60 ± 7.86 vs 41.05 ± 8.14, p = 0.003). Less irrigation was required in 7.5F group (813.93 ± 279.47 mL vs 1504.18 ± 385.31 mL, p = 0.000). The postoperative fever rate in 9.2F group was higher than 7.5F group (20% vs 5%, p = 0.043). There was no significant difference in sepsis (0% vs 2.5%, p = 0.314) between the two groups. No significant difference was noted in hospital stay (0.93 ± 0.49 days vs 1.14 ± 0.64 days, p = 0.099) between the two groups. The final stone-free rate (SFR) in 7.5F group was higher than 9.2F group (95% vs 80%, p = 0.043). Conclusion: The latest 7.5F mini FUS was a reliable instrument in RIRS to keep a good visualization with low requirement of irrigation, low postoperative infection complication, and also a high SFR when compared with the conventional 9.2F FUS. Abstract
Decoding movement intentions from motor unit (MU) activities to represent neural drive information plays a central role in establishing neural interfaces, but there remains a great challenge for obtaining precise MU activities during sustained muscle contractions. In this paper, we presented an online muscle force prediction method driven by individual MU activities that were decomposed from prolonged surface electromyogram (SEMG) signals in real time. In the training stage of the proposed method, a set of separation vectors was initialized for decomposing MU activities. After transferring each decomposed MU activity into a twitch force train according to its action potential waveform, a neural network was designed and trained for predicting muscle force. In the subsequent online stage, a practical double-thread-parallel algorithm was developed. One frontend thread predicted the muscle force in real time utilizing the trained network and the other backend thread simultaneously updated the separation vectors. To assess the performance of the proposed method, SEMG signals were recorded from the abductor pollicis brevis muscles of eight subjects and the contraction force was simultaneously collected. With the update procedure in the backend thread, the force prediction performance of the proposed method was significantly improved in terms of lower root mean square deviation (RMSD) of around 10% and higher fitness (R2) of around 0.90, outperforming two conventional methods. This study provides a promising technique for real-time myoelectric applications in movement control and health.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Coagulation system is currently known associated with the development of ischemic stroke (IS). Thus, the current study is designed to identify diagnostic value of coagulation genes (CGs) in IS and to explore their role in the immune microenvironment of IS. METHODS Aberrant expressed CGs in IS were input into unsupervised consensus clustering to classify IS subtypes. Meanwhile, key CGs involved in IS were further selected by weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) and machine learning methods, including random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), generalized linear model (GLM) and extreme-gradient boosting (XGB). The diagnostic performance of key CGs were evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. At last, quantitative PCR (qPCR) was performed to validate the expressions of key CGs in IS. RESULTS IS patients were classified into two subtypes with different immune microenvironments by aberrant expressed CGs. Further WGCNA, machine learning methods and ROC curves identified ACTN1, F5, TLN1, JMJD1C and WAS as potential diagnostic biomarkers of IS. In addition, their expressions were significantly correlated with macrophages, neutrophils and/or T cells. GSEA also revealed that those biomarkers may regulate IS via immune and inflammation. Moreover, qPCR verified the expressions of ACTN1, F5 and JMJD1C in IS. CONCLUSIONS The current study identified ACTN1, F5 and JMJD1C as novel coagulation-related biomarkers associated with IS immune microenvironment, which enriches our knowledge of coagulation-mediated pathogenesis of IS and sheds light on next-step in vivo and in vitro experiments to elucidate the relevant molecular mechanisms.

Abstract
STUDY QUESTION Is the incidence of pregnancy loss correlated with various geographic, socio-demographic, and age stratifications at the societal and national levels, and what are the risk factors associated with pregnancy loss at the individual level? SUMMARY ANSWER The epidemiological trends and disease burden of pregnancy loss were correlated with various geographic, socio-demographic, and age stratifications, and we identified that poor health condition, smoking, sedentary behaviour, lower educational level, and lower maternal birth weight may significantly increase the risk of pregnancy loss. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Several studies have used national, regional, or single-centre data to describe trends in the burden of pregnancy loss, and previous observational studies have identified some variable factors possibly associated with pregnancy loss. However, a comprehensive analysis of global trends and predictions of pregnancy loss are lacking, and the conclusions have been inconsistent. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION We have utilized the data from Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2019 to provide an overview of the trends in pregnancy loss in 204 countries and regions worldwide from 1990 to 2019, and have made a forecast for the next 10 years. Moreover, we applied a variety of statistical genetics methods to analyse 34 239 pregnancy loss and 89 340 non-pregnancy loss cases from the FinnGen consortium to comprehensively assess the bidirectional causality of variable factors with pregnancy loss from an individual perspective. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS We analysed trends in the incidence, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), and maternal mortality of pregnancy loss at global, regional, national, socio-demographic index (SDI), and age levels. The autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model was used to predict trends by 2030. Finally, we used two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) and multivariate MR (MVMR) analyses to explore the relationship between the pregnancy loss and variables closely related to physical condition, physical activity, lifestyle, sleep conditions, basic conditions. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE In 2019, there were approximately 42.39 million cases of pregnancy loss worldwide. Globally, the incidence, DALYs, and mortality of pregnancy loss showed a decreasing trend between 1990 and 2019, although the number was increasing in some countries. The age-standardized incidence, DALYs, and mortality rate were negatively correlated with SDI level and show a further decline by 2030. Based on MR analyses, we confirmed that genetically predicted overall health rating (inverse-variance weighted (IVW) odds ratio (OR), 1.68; 95% CI, 1.34-2.13; P = 5.10 × 10-6), smoking initiation (IVW OR, 1.26; 95% CI, 1.16-1.38; P = 1.90 × 10-9), sedentary behaviour (IVW OR, 1.56; 95% CI, 1.20-2.01; P = 2.76 × 10-5), educational level (IVW OR, 0.64; 95% CI, 0.55-0.73; P = 6.56 × 10-10), and maternal birth weight (IVW OR, 0.70; 95% CI, 0.58-0.85; P = 2.98 × 10-4) were significantly related to the risk of pregnancy loss, whereas body mass index (IVW OR, 1.10; 95% CI, 1.03-1.17; P = 5.31 × 10-3), alcohol consumption (IVW OR, 1.74; 95% CI, 1.03-2.95; P = 0.04), insomnia (IVW OR, 1.66; 95% CI, 1.14-2.42; P = 7.00 × 10-3), and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (IVW OR, 0.59; 95% CI, 0.37-0.95; P = 2.85 × 10-2) were suggestively associated with the risk of pregnancy loss. These results were supported by sensitivity and directional analyses. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION Despite efforts to standardize GBD data from all over the world, uncertainties in data quality control regarding ascertainment of pregnancy loss, medical care accessibility, cultural differences, and socioeconomic status still exist. Furthermore, the population in the MRstudy was limited to Europeans, which means that the results may not be extrapolated to people of other origins. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS Our study provides for the first time an overview of the epidemiological trends and disease burden of pregnancy loss related with SDI, region, country, and age, and predicts changes in future trends up to 2030. In addition, findings support that genetic susceptibility, smoking, health condition, and sedentary behaviour may be powerful indicators of an increased risk of pregnancy loss. These results would be beneficial for policy makers of different countries and regions to improve prevention implementation. Abstract
Personalized in situ tumor vaccination is a promising immunotherapeutic modality. Currently, seeking immunogenic cell death (ICD) to generate in situ tumor vaccines is still mired by insufficient immunogenicity and an entrenched immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Herein, a series of tetrazine-functionalized ruthenium(II) sonosensitizers have been designed and screened for establishing a bioorthogonal-activated in situ tumor vaccine via oncolytic pyroptosis induction. Based on nanodelivery-augmented bioorthogonal metabolic glycoengineering, the original tumor is selectively remolded to introduce artificial target bicycle [6.1.0] nonyne (BCN) into cell membrane. Through specific bioorthogonal ligation with intratumoral BCN receptors, sonosensitizers can realize precise membrane-anchoring and synchronous click-activation in desired tumor sites. Upon ultrasound (US) irradiation, the activated sonosensitizers can intensively disrupt the cell membrane with dual type I/II reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation for a high-efficiency sonodynamic therapy (SDT). More importantly, the severe membrane damage can eminently evoke oncolytic pyroptosis to maximize tumor immunogenicity and reverse immunosuppressive TME, ultimately eliciting powerful and durable systemic antitumor immunity. The US-triggered pyroptosis is certified to effectively inhibit the growths of primary and distant tumors, and suppress tumor metastasis and recurrence in "cold" tumor models. This bioorthogonal-driven tumor-specific pyroptosis induction strategy has great potential for the development of robust in situ tumor vaccines.

Abstract
High throughput screening (HTS) is routinely used to identify bioactive small molecules. This requires physical compounds, which limits coverage of accessible chemical space. Computational approaches combined with vast on-demand chemical libraries can access far greater chemical space, provided that the predictive accuracy is sufficient to identify useful molecules. Through the largest and most diverse virtual HTS campaign reported to date, comprising 318 individual projects, we demonstrate that our AtomNet® convolutional neural network successfully finds novel hits across every major therapeutic area and protein class. We address historical limitations of computational screening by demonstrating success for target proteins without known binders, high-quality X-ray crystal structures, or manual cherry-picking of compounds. We show that the molecules selected by the AtomNet® model are novel drug-like scaffolds rather than minor modifications to known bioactive compounds. Our empirical results suggest that computational methods can substantially replace HTS as the first step of small-molecule drug discovery.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sclerotinia stem rot caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum seriously endangers oilseed rape production worldwide, and the occurrence of fungicide-resistant mutants of S. sclerotiorum leads to control decline. Thus, it is critical to explore new green substitutes with different action mechanisms and high antifungal activity. Herein, the activity and the action mechanism of natamycin against S. sclerotiorum were evaluated. RESULTS Natamycin showed potent inhibition on the mycelial growth of S. sclerotiorum, and half-maximal effective concentration (EC50 ) values against 103 S. sclerotiorum strains ranged from 0.53 to 4.04 μg/mL (mean 1.44 μg/mL). Natamycin also exhibited high efficacy against both carbendazim- and dimethachlone-resistant strains of S. sclerotiorum on detached oilseed rape leaves. No cross-resistance was detected between natamycin and carbendazim. Natamycin markedly disrupted hyphal form, sclerotia formation, integrity of the cell membrane, and reduced the content of oxalic acid and ergosterol, whereas it increased the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde content. Interestingly, exogenous addition of ergosterol could reduce the inhibition of natamycin against S. sclerotiorum. Importantly, natamycin significantly inhibited expression of the Cyp51 gene, which is contrary to results for the triazole fungicide flusilazole, indicating a different action mechanism from triazole fungicides. CONCLUSION Natamycin is a promising effective candidate for the resistance management of S. sclerotiorum. © 2023 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
This study presents a method for adaptive online decomposition of high-density surface electromyogram (SEMG) signals to overcome the performance degradation during long-term recordings. The proposed method utilized the progressive FastICA peel-off (PFP) method and integrated a practical double-thread-parallel algorithm into the conventional two-stage calculation approach. During the offline initialization stage, a set of separation vectors was computed. In the subsequent online decomposition stage, a backend thread was implemented to periodically update the separation vectors using the constrained FastICA algorithm and the automatic PFP method. Concurrently, the frontend thread employed the newly updated separation vectors to accurately extract motor unit (MU) spike trains in real time. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulated and experimental SEMG signals from abductor pollicis brevis muscles of ten subjects were used for evaluation. The results demonstrated that the proposed method outperformed the conventional method, which relies on fixed separation vectors. Specifically, the proposed method showed an improved matching rate by 3.63% in simulated data and 1.98% in experimental data, along with an increased motor unit number by 2.39 in simulated data and 1.30 in experimental data. These findings illustrated the feasibility of the proposed method to enhance the performance of online SEMG decomposition. As a result, this work holds promise for various applications that require accurate MU firing activities in decoding neural commands and building neural-machine interfaces.

Abstract
A stroke is one of the most common fatal diseases of the nervous system, and the number of strokes per year has increased substantially in recent years. Epilepsy is a poststroke complication that greatly affects the prognosis of patients and reduces their quality of survival. Effective avoidance of causative factors can reduce the risk of a poststroke seizure. However, while many studies have been devoted to elucidating the pathogenesis of poststroke seizures, the literature lacks a comprehensive understanding of the pathogenic mechanism. This article briefly presents the current definition, risk factors, pathogenesis, and prognosis of poststroke seizures based on reported studies and literature reviews, aiming to enrich the available knowledge of this disease.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to reveal the short-term impact of meteorological factors on the mortality risk in hypertensive patients, providing a scientific foundation for formulating pertinent prevention and control policies. METHODS In this research, meteorological factor data and daily death data of hypertensive patients in Hefei City from 2015 to 2018 were integrated. Time series analysis was performed using distributed lag nonlinear model (DLNM) and generalized additive model (GAM). Furthermore, we conducted stratified analysis based on gender and age. Relative risk (RR) combined with 95% confidence interval (95% CI) was used to represent the mortality risk of single day and cumulative day in hypertensive patients. RESULTS Single-day lag results indicated that high daily mean temperature (T mean) (75th percentile, 24.9 °C) and low diurnal temperature range (DTR) (25th percentile, 4.20 °C) levels were identified as risk factors for death in hypertensive patients (maximum effective RR values were 1.144 and 1.122, respectively). Extremely high levels of relative humidity (RH) (95th percentile, 94.29%) reduced the risk of death (RR value was 0.893). The stratified results showed that the elderly and female populations are more susceptible to low DTR levels, whereas extremely high levels of RH have a more significant protective effect on both populations. CONCLUSION Overall, we found that exposure to low DTR and high T mean environments increases the risk of death for hypertensive patients, while exposure to extremely high RH environments significantly reduces the risk of death for hypertensive patients. These findings contribute valuable insights for shaping targeted prevention and control strategies.

Abstract
Due to resistance and BCR-ABLT315I-mutated, CML remains a clinical challenge. It needs new potential therapeutic targets to overcome CML resistance related to BCR-ABL. Our research revealed that the deubiquitinating enzyme USP28 was highly expressed in BCR-ABL-dependent CML patients. Similarly, a high expression of USP28 was found in the K562 cell line, particularly in the imatinib-resistant strains. Notably, USP28 directly interacted with BCR-ABL. Furthermore, when BCR-ABL and its mutant BCR-ABLT315I were overexpressed in K562-IMR, they promoted the expression of IFITM3. However, when small molecule inhibitors targeting USP28 and small molecule degraders targeting BCR-ABL were combined, they significantly inhibited the expression of IFITM3. The experiments conducted on tumor-bearing animals revealed that co-treated mice showed a significant reduction in tumor size, effectively inhibiting the progression of CML tumors. In summary, USP28 promoted the proliferation and invasion of tumor cells in BCR-ABL-dependent CML by enhancing the expression of IFITM3. Moreover, imatinib resistance might be triggered by the activation of the USP28-BCR-ABL-IFITM3 pathway. Thus, the combined inhibition of USP28 and BCR-ABL could be a promising approach to overcome CML resistance dependent on BCR-ABL.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The characteristics and therapeutic potential of subtypes of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) are largely unknown. Also, the application of subpopulations of BMSCs in cartilage regeneration remains poorly characterized. The aim of this study was to explore the regenerative capacity of CD146-positive subpopulations of BMSCs for repairing cartilage defects. METHODS CD146-positive BMSCs (CD146 + BMSCs) were sorted by self-developed CD146-specific lipid magnetic spheres (CD146-LMS). Cell surface markers, viability, and proliferation were evaluated in vitro. CD146 + BMSCs were subjected to in vitro chondrogenic induction and evaluated for chondrogenic properties by detecting mRNA and protein expression. The role of the CD146 subpopulation of BMSCs in cartilage damage repair was assessed by injecting CD146 + BMSCs complexed with sodium alginate gel in the joints of a mouse cartilage defect model. RESULTS The prepared CD146-LMS had an average particle size of 193.7 ± 5.24 nm, an average potential of 41.9 ± 6.21 mv, and a saturation magnetization intensity of 27.2 Am2/kg, which showed good stability and low cytotoxicity. The sorted CD146 + BMSCs highly expressed stem cell and pericyte markers with good cellular activity and cellular value-added capacity. Cartilage markers Sox9, Collagen II, and Aggrecan were expressed at both protein and mRNA levels in CD146 + BMSCs cells after chondrogenic induction in vitro. In a mouse cartilage injury model, CD146 + BMSCs showed better function in promoting the repair of articular cartilage injury. CONCLUSION The prepared CD146-LMS was able to sort out CD146 + BMSCs efficiently, and the sorted subpopulation of CD146 + BMSCs had good chondrogenic differentiation potential, which could efficiently promote the repair of articular cartilage injury, suggesting that the sorted CD146 + BMSCs subpopulation is a promising seed cell for cartilage tissue engineering.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previous studies have found that psychological interventions have a positive effect on improving physical and psychological problems in colorectal cancer survivors. However, there is still a lack of high-quality evidence reviews that summarize and compare the impact of different psychological interventions. The aim of this study was to synthesize existing psychological interventions and use network meta-analysis to explore whether psychological interventions improve anxiety, depression, fatigue and quality of life in colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors. METHODS We will extract relevant randomized controlled trials of psychological interventions for CRC survivors from eight electronic databases, including PubMed, Embase, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CINAHL, PsycInFO, CNKI, and Wanfang database. Two reviewers will independently screen the literature and extract data. The risk of bias of the included studies will be assessed using the RoB2: Revised Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool. We will then conduct paired meta-analyses and network meta-analyses of the extracted data, using a frequency-based framework and random effects models. DISCUSSION To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first proposed qualitative and quantitative integration of existing evidence using systematic evaluation and network meta-analysis. This study will inform health policy makers, healthcare providers' clinical intervention choices and guideline revisions, and will help to reduce depression and anxiety in CRC survivors, reduce fatigue, improve quality of life.
