Abstract
BACKGROUND Clinical research data showed a series of adverse events in the delivery period of primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) patients, including high cesarean section rate. Consensus report proposed that for patients with platelet count below 50 × 109/L, prednisone or intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIg) can be given to raise the platelet count in third trimester in preparation for labor. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the effect of low-dose prednisone or IVIg therapy on delivery outcomes in patients with ITP. STUDY DESIGN This was a cohort study that included pregnant women with ITP from January 2017 to December 2022. Patients with platelet counts of (20-50) ×109/L at the time of delivery (≥34 weeks) and who had not received any medication before were enrolled in the study. Patients were divided into the pre-delivery medication group (oral prednisone or IVIg) and untreated group according to their preferences. The differences in vaginal delivery rate, postpartum bleeding rate, and platelet transfusion volume between the two groups were compared using t-test, Wilcoxon rank-sum test, and χ2 test. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the factors affecting vaginal delivery rate and postpartum bleeding rate, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to identify the factors affecting platelet transfusion volume. RESULTS During the study period, a total of 96 patients with ITP were enrolled, including 70 in the pre-delivery medication group and 26 in the untreated group. The platelet count of pre-delivery medication group was 54.8 ± 34.5 × 109/L, which was significantly higher than that of untreated group 34.4 ± 9.0 × 109/L (p = .004). The vaginal delivery rate of the medication group was higher than the untreated group [60.0% (42/70) vs. 30.8% (8/26), χ2 = 6.49, p = .013]. After adjusting for the proportion of multiparous women and gestational weeks, the results showed that medication therapy during the peripartum period was associated with vaginal delivery (OR = 4.937, 95% CI: 1.511-16.136, p = .008). The postpartum bleeding rates were 22.9% (16/70) and 26.9% (7/26) in the medication group and untreated group, respectively, with no significant difference between the two groups (χ2 = 0.17, p = .789), while the platelet transfusion volume was lower in the medication group than untreated group [(1.1 ± 1.0) vs. (1.6 ± 0.8) U]. CONCLUSION Pre-delivery medication therapy can increase vaginal delivery rate, reduce platelet transfusion volume, but does not decrease the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage.

Abstract
This study outlines asthma burden trends across age, sex, regions and risk factors in 'Belt and Road' (B&R) countries from 1990 to 2019 using the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 data. Incidence, mortality, prevalence, years lived with disability (YLDs), disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) and risk factors for asthma were measured. India, China and Indonesia bore the heaviest burden in 2019. Despite the significant decline in the average annual percent change for age-standardized mortality and years of life lost from 1990 to 2019, increases were observed in several East Asian, Central Asian, North African and Middle Eastern countries between 2010 and 2019. For both sexes, YLDs decreased in most B&R countries but increased in Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Vietnam and Oman. YLDs in Georgia, the United Arab Emirates and Albania increased in males but decreased in females. YLDs increased for those aged <15 years in Central Asia and Europe, while China's 50-74-year age group showed the lowest YLD change. High body mass index (BMI) led to increased YLDs in East, Central and Southeast Asia; North Africa; and the Middle East. Conclusively, asthma burden varies significantly by country. Tailoring control efforts to specific regions, sex and high BMI could enhance asthma management.

Abstract
Protein-based detection methods, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and lateral flow strips, have been widely used for rapid, specific, and sensitive detection of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). However, the traditional ELISA method for the quantitative detection of GMOs has certain limitations. Herein, a quantum dot (QD)-based fluorescence-linked immunosorbent assay was developed using QDs as fluorescent markers for the detection of glyphosate-resistant protein (CP4-EPSPS) in the MON89788 soybean. The end-point fluorescent detection system was carried out using QDs conjugated with a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody. Compared with the conventional sandwich ELISA method, the newly developed fluorescence-linked immunosorbent assay was highly sensitive and accurate for detecting the CP4-EPSPS protein. The quantified linearity was achieved in the range of 0.05-5% (w/w) for the MON89788 soybean sample. The recovery of protein extracted from mixed MON89788 soybean samples ranged from 87.67% to 116.83%. The limits of detection and limits of quantification were 0.7101 and 2.152 pg/mL, respectively. All of the results indicated that the QD-based fluorescence-linked immunosorbent assay was a highly specific and sensitive method for monitoring the CP4-EPSPS protein in GMOs.

Abstract
Vestibular compensation is a physiological response of the vestibular organs within the inner ear. This adaptation manifests during consistent exposure to acceleration or deceleration, with the vestibular organs incrementally adjusting to such changes. The molecular underpinnings of vestibular compensation remain to be fully elucidated, yet emerging studies implicate associations with neuroplasticity and signal transduction pathways. Throughout the compensation process, the vestibular sensory neurons maintain signal transmission to the central equilibrium system, facilitating adaptability through alterations in synaptic transmission and neuronal excitability. Notable molecular candidates implicated in this process include variations in ion channels and neurotransmitter profiles, as well as neuronal and synaptic plasticity, metabolic processes, and electrophysiological modifications. This study consolidates the current understanding of the molecular events in vestibular compensation, augments the existing research landscape, and evaluates contemporary therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, this review posits potential avenues for future research that could enhance our comprehension of vestibular compensation mechanisms.

Abstract
AIM Due to the rarity of lung cancer with cystic imaging manifestations, we explore the clinical features and survival prognosis of such tumors. MATERIALS AND METHODS Imaging characteristics were used to categorize 3,556 patients who underwent surgery for isolated primary lung cancer into one of three groups: those with cystic lung cancer (149), solid lung cancer (1,399), and ground-glass lung cancer (1,160). Propensity score matching by sex and age was performed to analyze the differences in clinical characteristics of lung cancer among the three groups and the correlation between clinical characteristics of cystic lesions and progression-free survival (PFS). RESULTS The three groups of patients differed in various aspects, including pathological type, smoking history, tumor stage, type of surgery, histological grading, and PFS (P < 0.05). The results of the multifactorial analysis indicated that lung cancer type, pathological type, lymph node metastasis, tumor stage, and histologic grading were independent prognostic factors for lung cancer (P < 0.05). After comparison, there was a difference in prognosis between cystic lung cancer and ground-glass lung cancer (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The clinical features of cystic lung cancer are significantly different from those of ground-glass lung cancer and solid lung cancer. Cystic lesions are independent influencing factors affecting lung cancer, and the prognosis of cystic lung cancer is worse than that of ground-glass lung cancer.

Abstract
Orthognathic surgery primarily corrects skeletal anomalies and malocclusion to enhance facial aesthetics, aiming for an improved facial appearance. However, this traditional skeletal-driven approach may result in undesirable residual asymmetry. To address this issue, a soft tissue-driven planning methodology has been proposed. This technique estimates bone movements based on the envisioned optimal facial appearance, thereby enhancing surgical accuracy and effectiveness. This study investigates the initial implementation phase of the soft tissue-driven approach, simulating the patient's ideal appearance by realigning distorted facial landmarks to an ideal state. The algorithm employs symmetrization and weighted optimization strategies, aligning projected optimal landmarks with standard cephalometric values for both facial symmetry and form, which are essential in orthognathic surgery for facial aesthetics. It also incorporates regularization to preserve the patient's facial characteristics. Validation through retrospective analysis of preoperative patients and normal subjects demonstrates this method's efficacy in achieving facial symmetry, particularly in the lower face, and promoting a natural, harmonious contour. Adhering to soft tissue-driven principles, this novel approach shows promise in surpassing traditional methods, potentially leading to enhanced facial outcomes and patient satisfaction in orthognathic surgery.

Abstract
Objective: To describe the characteristics, etiology and patterns of outpatients and inpatients patients with moderate or severe valvular heart disease (VHD). Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Outpatients and inpatients with moderate or severe VHD who underwent transthoracic echocardiography for first examination from 1st January 2001 to 1st January 2020 in Southwest Hospital, Army Medical University were enrolled. Data were collected from medical records and big data platform of Southwest Hospital. Characteristics of age and gender, etiology and types of VHD were descriptively analysed. Results: A total of 68 354 patients with moderate or severe VHD were enrolled. The age was 63 (50, 72) years. And 35 706 (52.24%) patients were female. (1) Age characteristics: There was similar age trend between male and female patients with moderate or severe VHD. The number of patients increased firstly and then decreased and reached its peak in the age group of 65-69 years old. The peak age of mitral stenosis patients was 45-49 years, which was earlier than that of whole patients with moderate or severe VHD. The median age of patients with bicuspid aortic valve was 42 years. (2) Gender characteristics: The proportion of tricuspid regurgitation, pulmonary regurgitation, mitral regurgitation, mitral stenosis and valve surgery in female patients with moderate or severe VHD were higher than those in male patients. The proportion of aortic regurgitation, aortic stenosis and bicuspid aortic valve in male patients with moderate or severe VHD were significantly higher than those in female patients (all P<0.05). (3) Etiology: The proportion of rheumatic VHD was 13.07% (8 934/68 354), which was higher than that of degenerative VHD (0.67% (458/68 354)). (4) Types of VHD: Tricuspid regurgitation made contribution to the largest proportion with 60.72% (41 503/68 354), followed by mitral regurgitation, aortic regurgitation, mitral stenosis, pulmonary regurgitation and aortic stenosis. Conclusions: There are certain regional characteristics in the prevalence of moderate or severe VHD in southwest China, suggesting different attention should be paid on the whole process of refined management of moderate or severe VHD.

Abstract
Background Obesity is recognized as a prominent factor in the pathogenesis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The weight-adjusted-waist index (WWI) has emerged as a novel metric for assessing adiposity. The study aimed to investigate the potential correlation between WWI and OSA. Methods In this study, a cross-sectional analysis was conducted on the data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) during the period from 2013 to 2020. To examine the correlation between WWI and OSA, multivariate logistic regression, smooth curve fitting, subgroup analysis and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were employed. Results Among the total 18,080 participants, 9,050 were categorized as having OSA. It was observed that as the quartile range of WWI increased, there was a gradual rise in the prevalence of OSA (37.4% vs. 50.3% vs. 55.1% vs. 57.5%, p < 0.001). Logistic regression analyses demonstrated a significant positive correlation between WWI and the risk of OSA, even after accounting for potential confounders (OR = 1.314, 95% = 1.223, 1.411). Subgroup analysis further revealed a stronger correlation between OSA and WWI among individuals with normal weight, those under 50 years old, and those engaging in moderate physical activities. Smooth curve fitting identified a positive non-linear correlation, with an inflection point at 11.678. ROC analysis indicated that WWI (AUC = 0.664) can serve as a more robust predictor for OSA compared to BMI and waist circumference. Conclusion This study provides evidence that elevated levels of WWI are correlated with an increased risk of OSA, indicating the potential utility as predictive indicators for OSA.

Abstract
Cadmium (Cd) contamination poses a substantial threat to crop yields and human health. While magnesium hydride (MgH2) has been reported as a hydrogen (H2) donor that promotes plant growth under heavy metal contamination, its role in rice remains elusive. Herein, seedlings of Oryza sativa L. Japonica variety Zhonghua 11 (ZH11) were selected and exposed to 20 µL of 1-mol/L cadmium chloride (CdCl2) solution via hydroponics to simulate Cd stress. Meanwhile, 0.1 mg of MgH2 was used to slow-release H2 to the experimental group to explore its potential effects on rice over a 2-week period. The results indicated that Cd exposure severely inhibited the growth and development of ZH11 rice seedlings. However, the exogenous slow-release of H2 from MgH2 effectively mitigated this inhibitory effect by restoring the balance of reactive oxygen species (ROS), maintaining endogenous H2 homeostasis, and supporting the photosynthetic system. High-performance liquid chromatography analysis revealed that exogenous H2 reduces m6A RNA methylation levels in mRNA under Cd stress. Consequently, MeRIP-seq was conducted to investigate the effect of Cd exposure in rice in the presence and absence of H2. The m6A modifications were enriched at the start codon, stop codon, and 3' UTR. By integrating RNA-seq data, 118 transcripts were identified as differentially methylated and expressed genes under Cd stress. These gene annotations were associated with ROS, biological stress, and hormonal responses. Notably, 297 differentially methylated and expressed genes were identified under Cd stress in the presence of H2, linked to heavy metals, protein kinases, and calcium signaling regulation. Cd strongly activates the MAPK pathway in response to stress. Exogenous H2 reduces Cd accumulation as well as enhances plant tolerance and homeostasis by lowering m6A levels, thereby decreasing the mRNA stability of these genes. Our findings indicate that MgH2, by supplying H2, regulates gene expression through m6A RNA methylation and confers Cd tolerance in rice. This study provides potential candidate genes for studying the remediation of heavy metal pollution in plants.

Abstract
AIMS The efficacy of concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) for Stage II and T3N0 nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), particularly during the shift from two-dimensional conventional radiotherapy (2DCRT) to intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) is debated.Therefore this study aims to systematically evaluate and meta-analyze survival benefits of CCRT versus radiotherapy alone for Stage II and T3N0 NPC, stratified by radiotherapy techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS As of April 1, 2024, we conducted an exhaustive literature search across databases such as PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science, with the aim of identifying and screening studies that compare the efficacy of CCRT versus radiotherapy alone in the treatment of Stage II and T3N0 NPC. RESULTS A total of 10 studies encompassing 5015 patients were included in this comprehensive analysis. The findings indicate that, apart from progression-free survival (PFS), CCRT did not improve survival outcomes, including overall survival (OS), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), local recurrence-free survival (LRRFS), and failure-free survival (FFS), with all P values exceeding 0.05. Concurrently, the incidence of grade ≥3 adverse events associated with CCRT was significantly elevated (odds ratio [OR] = 3.77, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 2.75-5.15, P < 0.0001). Subgroup analysis revealed that, compared with RT, the combination of 2DCRT with concurrent chemotherapy significantly improved OS (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.57, 95% CI = 0.46-0.71, P < 0.00001), PFS (HR = 0.65, 95% CI=0.53-0.78, P < 0.00001), DMFS (HR = 0.54, 95% CI = 0.37-0.79, P = 0.002), and LRRFS (HR = 0.63, 95% CI = 0.49-0.82, P = 0.0005). In contrast, the combination of IMRT with concurrent chemotherapy failed to demonstrate improvements in OS, PFS, DMFS, or LRRFS, with all P values exceeding 0.05. CONCLUSION In contrast with RT, CCRT did not enhance survival in stage II and T3N0 NPC patients, yet caused more adverse reactions. 2DCRT combined with concurrent chemotherapy significantly improved OS, PFS, DMFS, and LRRFS, while IMRT with concurrent chemotherapy showed no clinical benefits.

Abstract
To explore the influence of storage temperature and time on the stability of different concentrations of hepatitis C virus nucleic acid (HCV RNA) samples and to provide data reference for laboratory quality control. Serum samples of 10 patients with HCV RNA detection quantitation of 106-108 IU/mL were collected. The samples of each patient were diluted into three concentrations: high, medium, and low. Then the samples of each concentration were divided into 21, which were divided into three groups according to the storage conditions of -20°C, 4°C, and 25°C, with seven samples in each group. The samples were selected from each group for quantitative detection of HCV RNA on day 0, day 1, day 3, day 5, day 7, day 14, and day 30. The results of each concentration and storage temperature sample remained stable within 5 days. Based on the mixed-effect linear model, the main effects of temperature, time, and concentration were statistically significant (P < 0.01). There was an interaction effect between concentration and time (P = 0.0448), and there was also an interaction effect between temperature and time (P < 0.01). There was no interaction effect between concentration and temperature (P = 0.11) or between concentration, temperature, and time (P = 0.90). The results of serum samples with different concentrations of the HCV RNA remained stable within 5 days. The lower the initial concentration of HCV RNA serum sample, the worse the stability; the higher the storage temperature, the worse the stability. If conditions permit, the laboratory should store such samples at -20°C. IMPORTANCE Previously, there were few reports about the influence of different concentrations of sample nucleic acid on the stability of samples at various temperatures and times in various literatures. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the influence of concentration factors on the stability of samples and test results at different storage times and temperatures. This study took the concentration of hepatitis C virus nucleic acid as the research object to further understand the stability of hepatitis C virus nucleic acid test samples under various storage conditions, to provide data reference for the treatment of hepatitis C virus nucleic acid and RNA test samples before clinical laboratory test, and provide guidance and help for the improvement of laboratory quality control.

Abstract
6-Aminocaproic acid (6ACA) and 1,6-hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) are key precursors for nylon synthesis, and both are produced using petroleum-based chemical processes. However, the utilization of bio-based raw materials for biological production of monomers is crucial for nylon industry. In this study, we demonstrated that metabolic engineering of Escherichia coli and selected mutations of α-keto acid decarboxylase successfully synthesized 6ACA and HMDA. An artificial iterative cycle from l-lysine to chain-extended α-ketoacids was introduced into Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3). Then, the extended α-ketoacids were decarboxylated and oxidized for 6ACA production. Overexpression of catalase (KatE) combined with the site-directed mutations of α-isopropylmalate synthase (LeuA) contributed synergistic enhancement effect on synthesis of 6ACA, resulting in a 1.3-fold increase in 6ACA titer. Selected mutations in α-keto acid decarboxylase (KivD) improved its specificity and 170.00 ± 5.57 mg/L of 6ACA with a yield of 0.13 mol/mol (6ACA/l-lysine hydrochloride) was achieved by shake flask cultivation of the engineered strain with the KivD# (F381Y/V461I). Meanwhile, the engineered E. coli could accumulate 84.67 ± 4.04 mg/L of HMDA with a yield of 0.08 mol/mol (HMDA/l-lysine hydrochloride) by replacing aldehyde dehydrogenase with bi-aminotransferases. This achievement marks a significant advancement in the biological synthesis of 6-carbon compounds, since the biosynthetic pathways of HMDA are rarely identified.

Abstract
Isochronous Mass Spectrometry is a practical approach for studying decays of short-lived isomers. However, solely relying on the time stamps between the isomer and ground state does not provide clear sign of decay. To address this issue, we proposed a method for extracting decay time point by analyzing the residuals of time stamps within a window of (20μs, 180μs) after the start of data acquisition. Decay events out of the window were disregarded due to poor accuracy of revolution time. In this paper, we propose a novel approach based on the discrete Fourier transform technique, which was tested by simulation data. We found that the accuracy of the decay time point can be improved, leading to an expanded window of (15μs, 185μs). Furthermore, as the novel method was applied to experimental data, additional five decay events were identified. The newly determined half-life of 94mRu44+ is consistent with the previous value.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES We aimed to estimate the prevalence of multiple developmental disabilities, identify associated characteristics, and examine trends among American children from 2016 to 2022. STUDY DESIGN This was a cross-sectional study. METHODS Using the National Survey of Children's Health data from 2016 to 2022, we estimated the prevalence of multiple developmental disabilities among children aged 3-17 years. Multiple developmental disabilities were defined as two or more concurrent disabilities from 12 common disabilities. Trends were investigated using log-linear regression. Multivariate log-binominal regression was used to compare the prevalence prior to the COVID-19 pandemic (2016-2019) with prevalence during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2022). RESULTS From 239,534 eligible children (mean age = 10.1 years; male = 51.7%), we found the overall prevalence of multiple developmental disabilities was 10.6%. The most predominant phenotype was attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder concurrent with behavioural problems (2.1%). Higher prevalence was found among boys, non-Hispanic black children, those from low-household-income families and from families with lower education levels. Prevalence of multiple developmental disabilities increased from 9.8% in 2016 to 11.5% in 2022 (P = 0.014) with significantly higher prevalence during COVID-19 pandemic than before (11.2% vs 10.1%). These increases were found consistently across most sociodemographic groups. CONCLUSIONS Children from certain socio-disadvantaged groups were disproportionally affected by multiple developmental disabilities, highlighting the need for targeted strategies to improve health. The increasing prevalence during the pandemic suggests the need for ongoing monitoring of the trend and the impact of these conditions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We assessed the role of a systemic lupus erythematosus causal hypofunctional variant, neutrophil cytosolic factor 1 (NCF1)-p.Arg90His (p.R90H) substitution, in systemic sclerosis (SSc). METHODS Association of NCF1-H90 with SSc was performed in case-control cohorts, bleomycin (BLM)-treated Ncf1-R90 C57BL/6 wildtype and Ncf1-H90 knock-in (KI) littermates. Peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) subsets were analysed by cytometry by time-of-flight. RESULTS The NCF1-H90 allele is associated with risk for diffuse cutaneous SSc (dcSSc) in Chinese and European Americans, and lung fibrosis in Chinese patients with SSc (OR=2.09, p=7.96E-10). Low copy number of NCF1 associated with lung fibrosis in European Americans (OR=4.33, p=2.60E-2). BLM-treated KI mice demonstrated increased pulmonary fibrosis, exhibiting activated type I interferon signature, elevated Spp1, Ccl2, Arg1, Timp1 and Il6 expression, enriched macrophage scores in lung tissues. In a longitudinal observation cohort, homozygous H90 patients with SSc at baseline had increased anti-nuclear antibody titres, anti-topoisomerase antibody seropositivity and anti-centromere antibody seronegativity, increased incidence of lung fibrosis and Gender-Age-lung Physiology index, elevated modified Rodnan Skin Score (mRSS) and elevated plasma osteopontin (OPN, SPP1), CCL2, ARG1, TIMP-1 and IL-6. These H90 patients with SSc sustained elevated mRSS during follow-up years with decreased survival. The 0, 1 and 2 copies of H90 carriage in SSc PBMCs exhibited dose-dependent increases in profibrotic CD14+CD68+CD11b+Tim3+monocytes. Elevated OPN, CCL2 and ARG1 in CD68+CD11b+monocyte-derived macrophages from H90 patients were decreased after co-culturing with anti-CCL2 antibody. CONCLUSION Low NCF1 activity increases the risk for the development of dcSSc and lung fibrosis via expanding profibrotic SPP1+MoMs in a CCL2-dependent manner, contributing to the severity of lung fibrosis in both BLM-treated mice and patients with SSc.

Abstract
Objective To explore the value of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and culture in microbial diagnosis of patients with acute infection. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 206 specimens from 163 patients who were admitted to the emergency department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between July 2020, and July 2021. We evaluated the diagnostic efficacy of mNGS and in-hospital traditional culture. Results The total positive rate of mNGS was significantly higher than that culture methods (71.4 % vs 40.8 %, p < 0.001), while the sensitivity and accuracy of mNGS were found to be 92.9 % and 88.2 % respectively. However, culture exhibited superior specificity with a value of 92.6 % compared to 75.9 % for mNGS. The detection efficiency of mNGS and culture for fungi was comparable, but mNGS showed superior performance for bacterial detection. In the analysis of sepsis samples, mNGS outperformed traditional culture methods in diagnosing various types of samples, especially for sputum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. Among the identified infections, bacterial infections were the most common single infection (37.5 %). Additionally, bacterial-fungal infections represented the most prevalent form of mixed infection (77.3 %). Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus were identified as the predominant pathogens in the survival and death groups, respectively. No significant differences in microbial diversity were observed. Conclusion Compared to culture methods, mNGS demonstrates superior positive rates, sensitivity, and accuracy in the rapid detection of acute infections, particularly in critically ill patients such as those with sepsis. This capability establishes a foundation for the swift and precise identification of pathogens, allowing for the analysis of clinical indicators and patient prognosis based on the extensive data generated from mNGS.

Abstract
We present a comprehensive study of B^{0}→ωω decays using 772×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e^{+}e^{-} collider. This process is a suppressed charmless decay into two vector mesons and can exhibit interesting polarization and CP violation. The decay is observed for the first time with a significance of 7.9 standard deviations. We measure a branching fraction B=(1.53±0.29±0.17)×10^{-6}, a fraction of longitudinal polarization f_{L}=0.87±0.13±0.13, and a time-integrated CP asymmetry A_{CP}=-0.44±0.43±0.11, where the first uncertainties listed are statistical and the second are systematic. This is the first observation of B^{0}→ωω and the first measurements of f_{L} and A_{CP} for this decay.

Abstract
We report the results of the first search for B^{-} decays to the Ξ[over ¯]_{c}^{0}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-} final state using 711 fb^{-1} of data collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The results are interpreted in terms of both direct baryon-number-violating B^{-} decay and Ξ_{c}^{0}-Ξ[over ¯]_{c}^{0} oscillations which follow the standard model decay B^{-}→Ξ_{c}^{0}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-}. We observe no evidence for baryon number violation and set the 95% confidence-level upper limits on the ratio of baryon-number-violating and standard model branching fractions B(B^{-}→Ξ[over ¯]_{c}^{0}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-})/B(B^{-}→Ξ_{c}^{0}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-}) to be <2.7% and on the effective angular frequency of mixing ω in Ξ_{c}^{0}-Ξ[over ¯]_{c}^{0} oscillations to be <0.76 ps^{-1} (equivalent to τ_{mix}>1.3 ps).

Abstract
Drug combinations have emerged as a promising therapeutic approach in cancer treatment, aimed at overcoming drug resistance and improving the efficacy of monotherapy regimens. However, identifying effective drug combinations has traditionally been time-consuming and often dependent on chance discoveries. Therefore, there is an urgent need to explore alternative strategies to support experimental research. In this study, we propose network-based prediction models to identify potential drug combinations for 11 types of cancer. Our approach involves extracting 55,299 associations from literature and constructing human protein interactomes for each cancer type. To predict drug combinations, we measure the proximity of drug-drug relationships within the network and employ a correlation clustering framework to detect functional communities. Finally, we identify 61,754 drug combinations. Furthermore, we analyze the network configurations specific to different cancer types and identify 30 key genes and 21 pathways. The performance of these models is subsequently assessed through in vitro assays, which exhibit a significant level of agreement. These findings represent a valuable contribution to the development of network-based drug combination design strategies, presenting potential solutions to overcome drug resistance and enhance cancer treatment outcomes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prognostic value of lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) and CD163+tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) in patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). METHODS Peripheral blood and lymph node tissues were collected from 63 newly diagnosed DLBCL patients. LMR was calculated by the number of lymphocytes and monocytes in peripheral blood from the result of blood routine examination. The level of CD163+TAM in lymph nodes was detected by immunohistochemistry. The cut-off values of LMR and CD163+TAM were determined by ROC curves, and the prognostic value of LMR and CD163+TAM in DLBCL patients was analyzed. RESULTS The LMR level of 63 newly diagnosed DLBCL patients was 3.69±1.71, and the median value of CD163+TAM was 26/HPF. The number of CD163+TAM was negatively correlated with LMR (r =-0.58) and positively correlated with monocyte count (r =0.46). The cut-off values of LMR and CD163+TAM determined by ROC curve were 2.95 and 29/HPF, respectively, and based on this, the patients were divided into low LMR group and high LMR group, as well as low CD163+TAM group and high CD163+TAM group. The proportion of patients with clinical stage III-IV, IPI score 3-5 and bone marrow infiltration in the low LMR group were higher than those in the high LMR group (P < 0.05). The proportion of patients with clinical stage III-IV, IPI score 3-5, elevated LDH level and bone marrow infiltration in the high CD163+TAM group were higher than those in the low CD163+TAM group (P < 0.05). There was a positive correlation between LMR and OS (r =0.43) and a negative correlation between CD163+TAM and OS (r =-0.65). DLBCL patients with low LMR and high CD163+TAM had shorter OS (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION Low LMR and high CD163+TAM can be used as biological markers for poor prognosis of DLBCL patients.

Abstract
Objective This study investigates the association between convalescent plasma therapy and the negative conversion rate in patients with persistent COVID-19 test positivity. Method A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with severe or mild to moderate COVID-19 whose viral nucleic acid tests remained positive for over 30 days. Patients were categorized into two groups: those who administered convalescent plasma therapy and those who were not. Data collected included information on therapy strategies used (convalescent plasma, corticosteroids, interferons, etc.), patients' demographic characteristics, comorbidities, therapeutic medications, and nucleic acid testing results. Patients in the convalescent plasma therapy group were matched 1:2 ratio with those in the non-convalescent plasma therapy group. Cumulative negative conversion rates on the fifth, tenth, and fifteenth days post-therapy initiation were analyzed as dependent variables. Independent variables included therapy strategies, demographic characteristics, comorbidities, and therapeutic medication usage. Univariate analysis was conducted, and factors with a p-value (P) less than 0.2 were included in a paired Cox proportional hazards model. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the cumulative negative conversion rate between the convalescent plasma therapy group and the non-convalescent plasma therapy group on the fifth, tenth, and fifteenth days. Specifically, on day the fifth, the negative conversion rate was 41.46% in the convalescent plasma therapy group compared to 34.15% in the non-convalescent plasma therapy group (HR: 1.72, 95% CI: 0.82-3.61, P = 0.15). On the tenth day, it was 63.41% in the convalescent plasma therapy group and 63.41% in the non-convalescent plasma therapy group (HR: 1.25, 95% CI: 0.69∼2.26, P = 0.46). On the fifteenth day, the negative conversion rate was 85.37% in the convalescent plasma therapy group and 75.61% in the non-convalescent plasma therapy group (HR: 1.19, 95% CI: 0.71-1.97, P = 0.51). Conclusion Our finding does not support the hypothesis that convalescent plasma therapy could accelerate the time to negative conversion in patients who consistently test positive for COVID-19.
