Abstract
The properties of cold Bose gases at unitarity have been extensively investigated in the last few years both theoretically and experimentally. In this Letter we use a family of interactions tuned to two-body unitarity and very weak three-body binding to demonstrate the universal properties of both clusters and matter. We determine the universal properties of finite clusters up to 60 particles and, for the first time, explicitly demonstrate the saturation of energy and density with particle number and compare with bulk properties. At saturation in the bulk we determine the energy, density, two- and three-body contacts, and the condensate fraction. We find that uniform matter is more bound than three-body clusters by nearly 2 orders of magnitude, the two-body contact is very large in absolute terms, and yet the condensate fraction is also very large, greater than 90%. Equilibrium properties of these systems may be experimentally accessible through rapid quenching of weakly interacting boson superfluids.

Abstract
Haemosporidian blood parasites are transmitted to a wide range of avian hosts via blood-sucking dipteran vectors. Microscopy has revealed an impressive diversity of avian haemosporidia with more than 250 species described. Moreover, PCR and subsequent sequence analyses have suggested a much greater diversity of haemosporidia than morphological analyses alone. Given the importance of these parasites, very few studies have focused on the charismatic hummingbirds. To date, three Haemoproteus species (Haemoproteus archilochus, Haemoproteus trochili, and Haemoproteus witti) and one Leucocytozoon species (Leucocytozoon quynzae) have been described in blood samples taken from hummingbirds (Trochilidae). Unconfirmed Plasmodium lineages have also been detected in hummingbirds. Here, we report the detection of H. archilochus in two hummingbird species (Calypte anna and Archilochus alexandri) sampled in Northern California and perform a phylogenetic analysis of mitochondrial cytochrome b (cyt b) gene lineages. A total of 261 hummingbirds (157 C. anna, 104 A. alexandri) were sampled and screened for blood parasites using PCR and microscopy techniques. Combining both methods, 4 (2.55%) haemosporidian infections were detected in C. anna and 18 (17.31%) haemosporidian infections were detected in A. alexandri. Molecular analyses revealed four distinct H. archilocus cyt b lineages, which clustered as a monophyletic clade. No species of Plasmodium or Leucocytozoon were detected in this study, raising the possibility of specific vector associations with hummingbirds. These results provide resources for future studies of haemosporidian prevalence, diversity, and pathogenicity in California hummingbird populations.

Abstract
Favorable perceptions of the built and social neighborhood environment may promote outdoor physical activity (PA). However, little is known about their independent and interactive effects on neighborhood-specific outdoor PA. We examined associations of perceived built and social neighborhood environment factors, and their interactions, with objectively-measured neighborhood outdoor moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) among a sample of Latina women in San Diego, CA. Analyses included baseline data collected in 2011-2013 from 86 Latinas with ≥ 2 days of combined accelerometer and global positioning system data and complete survey measures. We examined objective neighborhood outdoor MVPA within 500-meter home buffers. Generalized linear mixed models examined associations of 3 perceived built (e.g., sidewalk maintenance) and 3 social environmental (e.g., safety from crime) factors with engaging in any daily neighborhood outdoor MVPA. Models tested interactions between the built and social environmental factors. Although the perceived neighborhood environmental factors were not significantly related to daily neighborhood outdoor MVPA, we found 2 significant interactions: perceived sidewalk maintenance x safety from crime (p = 0.05) and neighborhood aesthetics x neighborhood social cohesion (p = 0.03). Sidewalk maintenance was positively related to daily neighborhood outdoor MVPA only among Latinas that reported low levels of safety from crime. Neighborhood aesthetics was positively related to daily neighborhood outdoor MVPA only among Latinas with high neighborhood social cohesion. Findings suggest several built and social environmental factors interact to influence Latinas' neighborhood outdoor MVPA. Interventions are needed targeting both built and social neighborhood environmental factors favorable to outdoor PA in the neighborhood.

Abstract
Psychosocial assessment of transplant candidates is a challenging task. Securing adequate information is made more difficult when patients present with fulminant hepatic failure. When the patient cannot be interviewed and the family is reluctant to provide vital information, a comprehensive pretransplant psychosocial evaluation is virtually impossible. However, even the most difficult cases have the potential for a positive result when a good psychosocial profile of the patient is obtained after transplantation, a team treatment plan is developed and carried out which addresses current and anticipated problems, and the patient obtains mental health treatment.

Abstract
Background In contrast to adult HIV infection, where slow disease progression is strongly linked to immune control of HIV mediated by protective HLA class I molecules such as HLA-B*81:01, the mechanisms by which a minority of HIV-infected children maintain normal-for-age CD4 counts and remain clinically healthy appear to be HLA class I-independent and are largely unknown. To better understand these mechanisms, we here studied a HIV-infected South African female, who remained a non-progressor throughout childhood.
Results
Phylogenetic analysis of viral sequences in the HIV-infected family members, together with the history of grand-maternal breast-feeding, indicated that, unusually, the non-progressor child had been infected via grandmother-to-child transmission. Although HLA-B*81:01 was expressed by both grandmother and grand-daughter, autologous virus in each subject encoded an escape mutation L188F within the immunodominant HLA-B*81:01-restricted Gag-specific epitope TL9 (TPQDLNTML, Gag 180–188). Since the transmitted virus can influence paediatric and adult HIV disease progression, we investigated the impact of the L188F mutant on replicative capacity. When this variant was introduced into three distinct HIV clones in vitro, viral replicative capacity was abrogated altogether. However, a virus constructed using the gag sequence of the non-progressor child replicated as efficiently as wildtype virus. Conclusion These findings suggest alternative sequences of events: the transmission of the uncompensated low fitness L188F to both children, potentially contributing to slow progression in both, consistent with previous studies indicating that disease progression in children can be influenced by the replicative capacity of the transmitted virus; or the transmission of fully compensated virus, and slow progression here principally the result of HLA-independent host-specific factors, yet to be defined.

Abstract
The longitudinal and transverse electromagnetic response functions of ^{12}C are computed in a "first-principles" Green's function Monte Carlo calculation, based on realistic two- and three-nucleon interactions and associated one- and two-body currents. We find excellent agreement between theory and experiment and, in particular, no evidence for the quenching of the measured versus calculated longitudinal response. This is further corroborated by a reanalysis of the Coulomb sum rule, in which the contributions from the low-lying J^{π}=2^{+}, 0_{2}^{+} (Hoyle), and 4^{+} states in ^{12}C are accounted for explicitly in evaluating the total inelastic strength.

Abstract
Apoptosis is an evolutionarily conserved and tightly regulated cell death modality. It serves important roles in physiology by sculpting complex tissues during embryogenesis and by removing effete cells that have reached advanced age or whose genomes have been irreparably damaged. Apoptosis culminates in the rapid and decisive removal of cell corpses by efferocytosis, a term used to distinguish the engulfment of apoptotic cells from other phagocytic processes. Over the past decades, the molecular and cell biological events associated with efferocytosis have been rigorously studied, and many eat-me signals and receptors have been identified. The externalization of phosphatidylserine (PS) is arguably the most emblematic eat-me signal that is in turn bound by a large number of serum proteins and opsonins that facilitate efferocytosis. Under physiological conditions, externalized PS functions as a dominant and evolutionarily conserved immunosuppressive signal that promotes tolerance and prevents local and systemic immune activation. Pathologically, the innate immunosuppressive effect of externalized PS has been hijacked by numerous viruses, microorganisms, and parasites to facilitate infection, and in many cases, establish infection latency. PS is also profoundly dysregulated in the tumor microenvironment and antagonizes the development of tumor immunity. In this review, we discuss the biology of PS with respect to its role as a global immunosuppressive signal and how PS is exploited to drive diverse pathological processes such as infection and cancer. Finally, we outline the rationale that agents targeting PS could have significant value in cancer and infectious disease therapeutics.

Abstract
We present quantum Monte Carlo calculations of light nuclei, neutron-α scattering, and neutron matter using local two- and three-nucleon (3N) interactions derived from chiral effective field theory up to next-to-next-to-leading order (N(2)LO). The two undetermined 3N low-energy couplings are fit to the (4)He binding energy and, for the first time, to the spin-orbit splitting in the neutron-α P-wave phase shifts. Furthermore, we investigate different choices of local 3N-operator structures and find that chiral interactions at N(2)LO are able to simultaneously reproduce the properties of A=3,4,5 systems and of neutron matter, in contrast to commonly used phenomenological 3N interactions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Stepped-care approaches to weight loss have shown some success among adults. A 'stepped-down' version of the stepped-care approach to adolescent weight loss has never been evaluated. OBJECTIVES We conducted a one-year randomized controlled trial to compare a stepped-down weight loss intervention versus enhanced usual care (EUC). METHODS Study participants were obese adolescents age 11-13 (N = 106, 51% girls, and 82% Hispanic) recruited from primary care clinics in San Diego, California. The stepped-down intervention was delivered through clinician and health educator counseling (in-person and by phone) and mailed content. The intervention consisted of four-month 'steps' beginning with the most intensive contact followed by reduced contact if treatment goals were met. The EUC group received an initial physician visit, one session with a health counselor, and monthly mailed materials. Body mass index (BMI kg/m(2) ) was measured at baseline, 4, 8, and 12 months. Mixed-model regression analyses were stratified by sex. RESULTS Results indicated a clinically significant treatment effect for boys on BMI (p < 0.001) but not girls. No between group differences were found for adiposity and biometric outcomes. Only 13% of intervention participants succeeded in stepping down from step 1 to step 2 or step 3. CONCLUSIONS A stepped-down approach to weight loss showed some evidence of efficacy for weight loss in boys but not girls. The findings suggest the program as designed was not intensive enough to result in weight loss in this population segment.

Abstract
Many soils at former industrial sites are degraded. The objective of this research was to determine the ability of compost, biosolids, and biosolids blends to improve soil ecosystem function with minimal potential impact to surface water. Treatments rototilled into the top 12.5 cm of soil were biosolids at 202 Mg ha; biosolids at 404 Mg ha; compost at 137 Mg ha; or a blend consisting of biosolids applied at 202 Mg ha, drinking water treatment residual, and biochar. Rainfall runoff from experimental plots was collected for 3 yr. One year after soil amendments were incorporated, a native seed mix containing grasses, legumes, and forbs was planted. Soil amendments improved soil quality and nutrient pools, established a dense and high-quality vegetative cover, and improved earthworm reproductive measures. Amendments increased soil enzymatic activities that support soil function. Biosolids treatments increased the Shannon-Weaver Diversity Index for grasses. For the forbs group, control plots had the lowest diversity index and the biosolids blend had the highest diversity index. Biosolids and compost increased the number of earthworm juveniles. In general, biosolids outperformed compost. Biosolids increased N and P in rainfall runoff more than compost before vegetation was established. Several microconstituents (i.e., pharmaceutical and personal care products) were detected in runoff water but at concentrations below the probable no-effect levels and therefore should pose little impact to the aquatic environment. Future restoration design should ensure that runoff control measures are used to control sediment loss from the restored sites at least until vegetation is established.

Abstract
African swine fever virus (ASFV) is the etiological agent of a contagious and often lethal viral disease of domestic pigs. There are no vaccines to control Africa swine fever (ASF). Experimental vaccines have been developed using genetically modified live attenuated ASFVs obtained by specifically deleting virus genes involved in virulence, including the thymidine kinase (TK) gene. TK has been shown to be involved in the virulence of several viruses, including ASFV. Here we report the construction of a recombinant virus (ASFV-G/V-ΔTK) obtained by deleting the TK gene in a virulent strain of ASFV Georgia adapted to replicate in Vero cells (ASFV-G/VP30). ASFV-G/P-ΔTK demonstrated decreased replication both in primary swine macrophage cell cultures and in Vero cells compared with ASFV-G/VP30. In vivo, intramuscular administration of up to 10(6) TCID50 of ASFV-G/V-ΔTK does not result in ASF disease. However, these animals are not protected when challenged with the virulent parental Georgia strain.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Earlier age at onset of psychosis (AOP) has been associated with poor social adjustment and clinical outcome. Genetic and environmental factors such as obstetric complications, parental history of psychosis, advanced paternal age at time of birth, low birth weight and gestational age, and use of drugs have been described as bringing AOP forward. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between AOP and these factors in a sample of first episode of psychosis (FEP) patients. METHODS Clinical and sociodemographic data, age at FEP, age of parents at birth, parental history of psychosis, drug-use habits of the mother during pregnancy and of the patient before psychotic onset, and Lewis and Murray obstetric complication scale were obtained from 90 patients with FEP. Statistical analysis was performed by means of Pearson correlations, Chi-square tests, Student T-test analyses and a linear regression model using SPSS version 22. RESULTS Pre-eclampsia, need for incubator at birth, use of forceps, parental history of psychosis, and low birth weight were associated with an earlier AOP. Use of forceps and birth weight are the variables which best predict AOP in FEP. Stimulant drugs, which were mostly used together with cannabis and cocaine, were the only substances associated with an earlier AOP. CONCLUSIONS Our findings are consistent with previous study results and underline the role of the prenatal period in the development of psychosis and the importance of careful monitoring of pregnancy and delivery, especially in cases with familial history.

Abstract
The medium pH level of plant tissue cultures has been shown to be essential to many aspects of explant development and growth. Sensitivity or tolerance of medium pH change
in vitro varies according to specific requirements of individual species. The objectives of this study are to 1) determine medium pH change over time in storage conditions and with presence of explants, 2) evaluate the effects of medium pH change on explant growth performance and 3) assess the effects of adding a pH stabilizer, 2-(N-morpholino)ethanesulfonic acid (MES) that is commonly used in Douglas-fir micropropagation medium. Vegetative buds were collected in the spring before breaking dormancy from juvenile and mature donor trees for conducting these evaluations. Medium, with or without MES, was pre-adjusted to five pH levels before adding MES, agar and autoclaving. Medium pH changes and explant growth parameters were measured at eight different incubation times. Overall, MES provided a more stable medium pH, relative to starting pH values, under both light and dark storage conditions as well as with presence of explants. A general trend of decreasing medium pH over time was found comparing explants from juvenile and mature donor genotypes. Explant height and weight growth increased over time, but differ among explants from juvenile and mature donor genotypes. Our findings suggest that a 21-day subculture practice may best sustain medium freshness, medium pH level and desirable explant growth.

Abstract
We present the first Green's function Monte Carlo calculations of light nuclei with nuclear interactions derived from chiral effective field theory up to next-to-next-to-leading order. Up to this order, the interactions can be constructed in a local form and are therefore amenable to quantum Monte Carlo calculations. We demonstrate a systematic improvement with each order for the binding energies of A=3 and A=4 systems. We also carry out the first few-body tests to study perturbative expansions of chiral potentials at different orders, finding that higher-order corrections are more perturbative for softer interactions. Our results confirm the necessity of a three-body force for correct reproduction of experimental binding energies and radii, and pave the way for studying few- and many-nucleon systems using quantum Monte Carlo methods with chiral interactions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To present conformity indices (CIs) based on the distance differences between the target volume (TV) and the volume of reference isodose (VRI). METHODS The points on the three-dimensional surfaces of the TV and the VRI were generated. Then, the averaged distances between the points on the TV and the VRI were calculated (CIdistance). The performance of the presented CIs were evaluated by analysing six situations, which were a perfect match, an expansion and a reduction of the distance from the centroid to the VRI compared with the distance from the centroid to the TV by 10%, a lateral shift of the VRI by 3 cm, a rotation of the VRI by 45° and a spherical-shaped VRI having the same volume as the TV. The presented CIs were applied to the clinical prostate and head and neck (H&N) plans. RESULTS For the perfect match, CIdistance was 0 with 0 as the standard deviation (SD). When expanding and reducing, CIdistance was 10 and -10 with SDs <1.3, respectively. With shifting and rotating of the VRI, the CIdistance was almost 0 with SDs >11. The average value of the CIdistance in the prostate and H&N plans was 0.13 ± 7.44 and 6.04 ± 23.27, respectively. CONCLUSION The performance of the CIdistance was equal or better than those of the conventional CIs. ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE The evaluation of target conformity by the distances between the surface of the TV and the VRI could be more accurate than evaluation with volume information.

Abstract
Recent results in d+Au and p+Pb collisions at RHIC and the LHC provide evidence for collective expansion and flow of the created medium. We propose a control set of experiments to directly compare particle emission patterns from p+Pb, d+Au, and ^{3}He+Au or t+Au collisions at the same sqrt[s_{NN}] . Using a Monte Carlo Glauber simulation we find that a ^{3}He or triton projectile, with a realistic wave function description, induces a significant intrinsic triangular shape to the initial medium. If the system lives long enough, this survives into a significant third-order flow moment v_{3} even with viscous damping. By comparing systems with one, two, and three initial hot spots, one could disentangle the effects from the initial spatial distribution of the deposited energy and viscous damping. These are key tools for answering the question of how small a droplet of matter is necessary to form a quark-gluon plasma described by nearly inviscid hydrodynamics.

Abstract
Classical swine fever virus (CSFV) Core protein is involved in virus RNA protection, transcription regulation and virus virulence. To discover additional Core protein functions a yeast two-hybrid system was used to identify host proteins that interact with Core. Among the identified host proteins, the osteosarcoma amplified 9 protein (OS9) was further studied. Using alanine scanning mutagenesis, the OS9 binding site in the CSFV Core protein was identified, between Core residues (90)IAIM(93), near a putative cleavage site. Truncated versions of Core were used to show that OS9 binds a polypeptide representing the 12 C-terminal Core residues. Cells transfected with a double-fluorescent labeled Core construct demonstrated that co-localization of OS9 and Core occurred only on unprocessed forms of Core protein. A recombinant CSFV containing Core protein where residues (90)IAIM(93) were substituted by alanines showed no altered virulence in swine, but a significant decreased ability to replicate in cell cultures.

Abstract
An ab initio calculation of the sum rules of the neutral weak response functions in 12C is reported, based on a realistic Hamiltonian, including two- and three-nucleon potentials, and on realistic currents, consisting of one- and two-body terms. We find that the sum rules of the response functions associated with the longitudinal and transverse components of the (spacelike) neutral current are largest and that a significant portion (≃30%) of the calculated strength is due to two-body terms. This fact may have implications for the MiniBooNE and other neutrino quasielastic scattering data on nuclei.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We evaluated the role of home monitoring, communication with pharmacists, medication intensification, medication adherence and lifestyle factors in contributing to the effectiveness of an intervention to improve blood pressure control in patients with uncontrolled essential hypertension. METHODS We performed a mediation analysis of a published randomized trial based on the Chronic Care Model delivered over a secure patient website from June 2005 to December 2007. Study arms analyzed included usual care with a home blood pressure monitor and usual care with home blood pressure monitor and web-based pharmacist care. Mediator measures included secure messaging and telephone encounters; home blood pressure monitoring; medications intensification and adherence and lifestyle factors. Overall fidelity to the Chronic Care Model was assessed with the Patient Assessment of Chronic Care (PACIC) instrument. The primary outcome was percent of participants with blood pressure (BP) <140/90 mm Hg. RESULTS At 12 months follow-up, patients in the web-based pharmacist care group were more likely to have BP <140/90 mm Hg (55%) compared to patients in the group with home blood pressure monitors only (37%) (p = 0.001). Home blood pressure monitoring accounted for 30.3% of the intervention effect, secure electronic messaging accounted for 96%, and medication intensification for 29.3%. Medication adherence and self-report of fruit and vegetable intake and weight change were not different between the two study groups. The PACIC score accounted for 22.0 % of the main intervention effect. CONCLUSIONS The effect of web-based pharmacist care on improved blood pressure control was explained in part through a combination of home blood pressure monitoring, secure messaging, and antihypertensive medication intensification.

Abstract
Introduction: PI3K pathway, in addition to its pro-proliferative and anti-apoptotic effects on tumor cells, is known to contribute to DNA-damage repair (DDR). We hypothesized that GDC-0980, a dual PI3K-mTOR inhibitor, will induce an efficient anti-tumor effect in BRCA-competent PTEN-null TNBC cells when combined with PARP inhibitor, ABT888 and carboplatin. We propose that in PTEN-null BRCA-competent TNBC model, the growth of TNBC tumor will be blocked due to the inhibition of (1) HR and NHEJ and (2) PI3K-mTOR pathway mediated survival signals following treatment with GDC-0980, when combined with PARP inhibitor (impaired DNA-SSB-repair) and carboplatin (increased DNA-DSB). Purpose: Here we tested the efficacy of a combination of GDC-0980 with ABT888 plus carboplatin in BRCA-competent PTEN-null model of TNBC. Methods: Athymic mice bearing PTEN-null TNBC xenograft tumors were treated with GDC-0980 alone or in combination with ABT888 and carboplatin. Results: Dual inhibition of PI3K and mTOR by GDC-0980 alone as well as in the presence of carboplatin plus ABT888 changed the state of the repair of DNA-damage in BRCA-competent PTEN null TNBC cells, which led to increased cellular apoptotic signals in addition to decreased survival/proliferative signals. GDC-0980 treatment led to DNA damage (increased pgH2AX), gain in PAR and a subsequent sensitization of BRCA-competent PTEN-null MDA-MB468 TNBC cells to ABT888 plus carboplatin with a time-dependent (1) decrease in proliferation signals (pAKT T308/S473, pP70S6K, pS6RP), PAR/PARP ratios, PAR/pgH2AX ratios, live/dead cell ratios, cell-cycle progression and clonogenic 3D growth and (2) increase in apoptosis markers (cleaved-caspase 3, 9, BIM, cleaved-PARP and annexinV positivity). These effects are more pronounced in MDA-MB468 than in RAS/RAF mutated MDA-MB231 cells. GDC-0980 alone and in combination with ABT888 plus carboplatin inhibited cell cycle progression, increased apoptosis, and decreased live/dead cell ratios in BRCA-competent PTEN null TNBC cells. GDC-0980 alone and in combination with ABT888 plus carboplatin attenuated anchorage -dependent and -independent clonogenic 3D growth comparatively more in BRCA-competent PTEN-null cells TNBC cells than MDA-MB231 cells. GDC-0980 in combination with ABT888 plus carboplatin blocked the growth of established PTEN-null TNBC tumors as compared to vehicle control(s) with a concomitant decrease in tumor Ki67 and CD31 IHC-stains. Conclusion: This is the first mechanism-based study to demonstrate that in BRCA-competent PTEN-null TNBC model, GDC-0980 enhanced antitumor activity of ABT888, in the presence of carboplatin by inhibiting DDR system in conjunction with the inhibition of PI3K-mTOR pathway-mediated proliferative, and anti-apoptotic signals. Considering (1) the importance of PARP as the target in TNBC, (2) the existence of a large percentage of BRCA-competent TN and/or basal type BC patients and (3) the high frequency of PTEN-null-ness in this subset of BC, this combination merits further investigation.

Background: PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway signaling is important for the oncogenic function of HER2. Activating alterations of this pathway are frequently observed in HER2-enriched breast cancer and generally herald a poor response and resistance to trastuzumab (T). Purpose: Targeting the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway is an attractive strategy in HER2+ breast cancer that is refractory to trastuzumab. The hypothesis is that the suppression of this pathway by pan-PI3K inhibitor, GDC-0941 may lead to overcome trastuzumab-resistance. Experimental Design: The antiproliferative and HER2-mediated cellular signaling (pAKT, pP70S6K, pS6RP, p4EBP1 and p-ERK) effects of GDC-0941 alone and in combination with T were evaluated in HER2 amplified T-sensitive (BT474), T-resistant (BT474HR), and HER2 amplified/PIK3CA mutated (HCC1954, UACC893) BT cell lines by MTT assay and Western blots. Clonogenic growth was tested by 3D ON-TOP assay and apoptosis markers were also tested. Athymic mice bearing BT474 and BT474HR xenograft tumors were treated with GDC-0941 and T (alone and in combination). Results: (1) GDC-0941 exhibited in vitro cell killing activity in MTT assay with IC50's ranging from 0.35 μM to 1 μm and potency was augmented by the addition of T, (2) inhibition of phosphorylation of AKT(S473, T308), P70S6K, S6RP, and 4EBP1(T37/46, T70) was observed following GDC-0941 treatment, and the combination of GDC-0941 and T more effectively blocked the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway, (3) GDC-0941 treatment increased apoptosis markers (CL-CASPASE3 and annexinV positivity), (4) GDC-0941 dose-dependently blocked 3D-ON-TOP clonogenic growth of HER2+ cells. This effect was potentiated in the presence of T and (5) in vivo, the combination of GDC-0941 and T significantly reduced established tumor growth in both sensitive (82%) and resistant (79%) models with concomitant decrease of different PD markers. Conclusions: Our data suggest that 1) therapeutic targeting of the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling should be effective in abrogating resistance to T therapy in HER2+ BT, and 2) targeting both the HER2 and the PI3K signaling pathways is an attractive strategy to enhance the clinical efficacy of T therapy, as well as to prevent or delay the development of resistance.

Abstract
An ab initio calculation of the 12C elastic form factor and sum rules of longitudinal and transverse response functions measured in inclusive (e, e') scattering are reported, based on realistic nuclear potentials and electromagnetic currents. The longitudinal elastic form factor and sum rule are found to be in satisfactory agreement with available experimental data. A direct comparison between theory and experiment is difficult for the transverse sum rule. However, it is shown that the calculated transverse sum rule has large contributions from two-body currents, indicating that these mechanisms lead to a significant enhancement of the quasielastic transverse response. This fact may have implications for the anomaly observed in recent neutrino quasielastic charge-changing scattering experiments on 12C.
