Abstract
A search for the very rare D^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is performed using data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. The search is optimized for D^{0} mesons from D^{*+}→D^{0}π^{+} decays but is also sensitive to D^{0} mesons from other sources. No evidence for an excess of events over the expected background is observed. An upper limit on the branching fraction of this decay is set at B(D^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})<3.1×10^{-9} at a 90% C.L. This represents the world's most stringent limit, constraining models of physics beyond the standard model.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the long-term clinical efficacy of transcatheter repair of mitral paravalvular leak (PVL) post surgical mitral valve replacement. Methods: This study is a retrospective study. Patients who completed transcatheter repair of paravalvular leak after surgical mitral valve replacement at Shanghai Chest Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine from March 2010 to December 2018 were included. Technical success was defined as the occluder being stably implanted in the paravalvular leak site without affecting the function of the mitral valve and surrounding tissues; and there were no intervention-related complications, such as new hemolysis or aggravated hemolysis, and echocardiography confirmed mitral paravalvular regurgitation reduced by more than 1 grade. Patients were followed up at 30 days, 1, and 3 years after the intervention. The main endpoints were all-cause death and re-surgery due to interventional failure or serious complications. The occurrence of occluder-mediated hemolysis and chronic renal insufficiency was recorded, and patients were monitored with echocardiography during follow up. Results: A total of 75 patients were included, aged (54.3±22.9) years old, and 38 patients were males. All patients had decreased cardiac function and/or hemolysis before intervention. Procedural success was achieved in 54 patients (72.0%). Incidence of device-mediated hemolysis was 18.7% (14/75). During the follow-up period, all-cause death occurred in 7 patients (9.3%), and 3 were cardiac deaths. The 3-year event-free survival rate was 81.3% (61/75). The need for cardiac surgery was 9.3% (7/75): 3 cases due to severe device-mediated hemolysis, 2 cases due to prosthetic valve failure and 2 cases due to moderate to severe residual regurgitation. The echocardiography follow-up results showed that the position of the occluder was stable, there was no impact on the artificial valve function and surrounding structures, and the residual regurgitation was stable without progressive increase in event-free patients. Compared with pre-intervention, the left ventricular end systolic diameter ((33.9±7.4)mm vs. (38.3±8.9) mm, P=0.036), end diastolic diameter ((53.7±8.3) mm vs. (58.4±9.1) mm, P=0.045) and left atrial diameter (59.3 (44.5, 90.7) mm vs. 64.3 (44.8, 96.6) mm, P=0.049) were significantly reduced, pulmonary artery systolic pressure was also significantly decreased ((36.5±15.8) mmHg vs. (46.3±14.9) mmHg, P=0.022, 1 mmHg=0.133 kPa). There was no significant difference between 3 years and 1 year after transcatheter repair of mitral paravalvular leak post surgical mitral valve replacement (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Transcatheter repair of mitral paravalvular leak post surgical mitral valve replacement is an effective treatment option in selective patients.

Abstract
An amplitude analysis of B^{-}→J/ψΛp[over ¯] decays is performed using 4400 signal candidates selected on a data sample of pp collisions recorded at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. A narrow resonance in the J/ψΛ system, consistent with a pentaquark candidate with strangeness, is observed with high significance. The mass and the width of this new state are measured to be 4338.2±0.7±0.4 MeV and 7.0±1.2±1.3 MeV, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The spin is determined to be 1/2 and negative parity is preferred. Because of the small Q-value of the reaction, the most precise single measurement of the B^{-} mass to date, 5279.44±0.05±0.07 MeV, is obtained.

Abstract
In this study, LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2@x%Al2O3-coated cathode materials were regeneratively compounded by the solid-phase sintering method, and their structural characterization and electrochemical performance were systematically analyzed. The regenerated ternary cathode material precursor synthesized by the co-precipitation method was roasted with lithium carbonate at a molar ratio of 1:1.1, and then completely mixed with different contents of aluminum hydroxide. The combined materials were then sintered at 800 °C for 15 h to obtain the regenerated coated cathode material, LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2@x%Al2O3. The thermogravimetry analysis, phase composition, morphological characteristics, and other tests show that when the added content of aluminum hydroxide is 3%, the regenerated cathode material, LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2@1.5%Al2O3, exhibits the highest-order layered structure with Al2O3 coating. This material can better inhibit the production of Ni2+, and improve material structure and electrochemical properties. The first charge-discharge efficiency of the battery assembled with this regenerated cathode material is 97.4%, a 50-cycle capacity retention is 93.4%, and a 100-cycle capacity retention is 87.6%. The first charge-discharge efficiency is far better than that of the uncoated regenerated battery.

Methods: Using a stratified random sampling method, 200 migrant workers diagnosed with pneumoconiosis at the Shandong Academy of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine from January 2016 to December 2021 were selected as the observation group, while 200 non migrant workers diagnosed with pneumoconiosis were selected as the control group. St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) and Pneumoconiosis Questionnaire were used to collect and compare information on the age, working age of dust exposure, economic sources, employment status, income, medical security and quality of life of two groups of patients. Results: The age of migrant worker pneumoconiosis patients in the observation group was (58.1±8.1) years old, and the working age of dust exposure was (19.3±10.1) years. The main source of income was children support (85.5%, 171/200), employment status was mainly wait for employment or unemployed (69.0%, 138/200), personal monthly income was mainly non income (90.0%, 180/200), and family annual income was mainly less than 10000 yuan (48.0%, 96/200). The average personal annual medical expenditure of 5000-<10000 yuan accounted for 42.0% (84/200). The age of pneumoconiosis patients in the control group was (59.2±8.9) years old, and the working age of dust exposure was (20.2±10.5) years. The main source of income was retirement pension or salary (99.0%, 198/200), with retirement as the main employment status (66.0%, 132/200), the main personal monthly income was 2000-<4000 yuan (61.5%, 123/200), the main family annual income was 20000-<40000 yuan (44.0%, 88/200), and the average personal annual medical expenditure was mostly non-expenditure (92.0%, 184/200). There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of economic sources, employment status, personal monthly income, family annual income and average personal annual medical expenditure between the two groups (P<0.001). The main type of insurance for the observation group was rural cooperative medical care (68.5%, 137/200), and 87.0% (174/200) had no medical reimbursement and a proportion less than 50%. There were statistically significant differences in insurance type and medical reimbursement proportion between the two groups (P<0.001). Abstract
The elliptic (v_{2}) and triangular (v_{3}) azimuthal anisotropy coefficients in central ^{3}He+Au, d+Au, and p+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV are measured as a function of transverse momentum (p_{T}) at midrapidity (|η|<0.9), via the azimuthal angular correlation between two particles both at |η|<0.9. While the v_{2}(p_{T}) values depend on the colliding systems, the v_{3}(p_{T}) values are system independent within the uncertainties, suggesting an influence on eccentricity from subnucleonic fluctuations in these small-sized systems. These results also provide stringent constraints for the hydrodynamic modeling of these systems.

Observation of Directed Flow of Hypernuclei _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H in sqrt[s_{NN}]=3 GeV Au+Au Collisions at RHIC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:212301. Abstract
We report here the first observation of directed flow (v_{1}) of the hypernuclei _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H in mid-central Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3 GeV at RHIC. These data are taken as part of the beam energy scan program carried out by the STAR experiment. From 165×10^{6} events in 5%-40% centrality, about 8400 _{Λ}^{3}H and 5200 _{Λ}^{4}H candidates are reconstructed through two- and three-body decay channels. We observe that these hypernuclei exhibit significant directed flow. Comparing to that of light nuclei, it is found that the midrapidity v_{1} slopes of _{Λ}^{3}H and _{Λ}^{4}H follow baryon number scaling, implying that the coalescence is the dominant mechanism for these hypernuclei production in the 3 GeV Au+Au collisions.

Beam Energy Dependence of Triton Production and Yield Ratio (N_{t}×N_{p}/N_{d}^{2}) in Au+Au Collisions at RHIC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:202301. Abstract
We report the triton (t) production in midrapidity (|y|<0.5) Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=7.7-200 GeV measured by the STAR experiment from the first phase of the beam energy scan at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The nuclear compound yield ratio (N_{t}×N_{p}/N_{d}^{2}), which is predicted to be sensitive to the fluctuation of local neutron density, is observed to decrease monotonically with increasing charged-particle multiplicity (dN_{ch}/dη) and follows a scaling behavior. The dN_{ch}/dη dependence of the yield ratio is compared to calculations from coalescence and thermal models. Enhancements in the yield ratios relative to the coalescence baseline are observed in the 0%-10% most central collisions at 19.6 and 27 GeV, with a significance of 2.3σ and 3.4σ, respectively, giving a combined significance of 4.1σ. The enhancements are not observed in peripheral collisions or model calculations without critical fluctuation, and decreases with a smaller p_{T} acceptance. The physics implications of these results on the QCD phase structure and the production mechanism of light nuclei in heavy-ion collisions are discussed.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the levels and distribution characteristics of blood cadmium and urinary cadmium in American adults, to analyze the relationship between blood cadmium and urinary cadmium and pulmonary function dose response, and to explore the effect of this index on the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods: In March 2022, 3785 patients from 2007 to 2012 in NHANES database were selected as the subjects. Collect demography data such as gender and age, and test data such as lung function, blood cadmium concentration and Urine cadimium concentration. The relationship between blood and urine cadmium levels and lung function and pulmonary function and chronic obstructive pulmonary diease (COPD) was analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test or Kruskal-Wallis H test, multivariate linear regression and restricted cubic spline method. Results: The geometric mean of blood cadmium and urine cadmium in American adults was 0.37 g/L and 0.28 g/L, FEV(1) and FEV(1)/FVC among different cadmium exposure groups was statistically significant, and there was a negative linear dose-response relationship between serum Cd and urine Cd concentrations and FEV(1)/FVC levels (P(overall)<0.001, P(non-linear)=0.152; P(overall)<0.001, P(non-linear)=0.926). Compared with the lowest quartile concentration (Q1), the highest quartile blood cadmium concentration (Q4) (OR=1.934, P(trend)=0.000) and urinary cadmium concentration (OR=1.683, P(trend)=0.000) may increased the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Conclusion: There is a negative correlation between blood cadmium, urinary cadmium levels and lung function in American adults, and cadmium may increase the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Measurement of Sequential ϒ Suppression in Au+Au Collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV with the STAR Experiment. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:112301. Abstract
We report on measurements of sequential ϒ suppression in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV with the STAR detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) through both the dielectron and dimuon decay channels. In the 0%-60% centrality class, the nuclear modification factors (R_{AA}), which quantify the level of yield suppression in heavy-ion collisions compared to p+p collisions, for ϒ(1S) and ϒ(2S) are 0.40±0.03(stat)±0.03(sys)±0.09(norm) and 0.26±0.08(stat)±0.02(sys)±0.06(norm), respectively, while the upper limit of the ϒ(3S) R_{AA} is 0.17 at a 95% confidence level. This provides experimental evidence that the ϒ(3S) is significantly more suppressed than the ϒ(1S) at RHIC. The level of suppression for ϒ(1S) is comparable to that observed at the much higher collision energy at the Large Hadron Collider. These results point to the creation of a medium at RHIC whose temperature is sufficiently high to strongly suppress excited ϒ states.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study assessed the correlation between middle-aged and elderly fraud victimhood's experiences of being defrauded (EOBD) and depressive symptoms. STUDY DESIGN This was a prospective study. METHODS Data from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study 2018 (N = 15,322, mean age = 60.80 years) were used. Logistic regression models were used to identify the association between EOBD and depressive symptoms. Independent analyses were used to examine the association between different types of the fraud and depressive symptoms. RESULTS Among the middle-aged and elderly people, 9.37% of them have EOBD, and it was significantly associated with depressive symptoms. Among those with EOBD, fundraising fraud (3.72%) and fraudulent pyramid scheme and sales fraud (22.4%) were significantly associated with depressive symptoms, whereas telecommunication fraud (73.88%) had a limited role in inducing depressive symptoms in victimhood. CONCLUSION This study suggested that the government should make further efforts to prevent fraud, pay more attention to the mental health of the middle-aged and elderly victimhood, and provide timely psychological assistance to reduce the secondary harm caused by fraud.

Beam Energy Dependence of Fifth- and Sixth-Order Net-Proton Number Fluctuations in Au+Au Collisions at RHIC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2023; 130:082301. Abstract
We report the beam energy and collision centrality dependence of fifth and sixth order cumulants (C_{5}, C_{6}) and factorial cumulants (κ_{5}, κ_{6}) of net-proton and proton number distributions, from center-of-mass energy (sqrt[s_{NN}]) 3 GeV to 200 GeV Au+Au collisions at RHIC. Cumulant ratios of net-proton (taken as proxy for net-baryon) distributions generally follow the hierarchy expected from QCD thermodynamics, except for the case of collisions at 3 GeV. The measured values of C_{6}/C_{2} for 0%-40% centrality collisions show progressively negative trend with decreasing energy, while it is positive for the lowest energy studied. These observed negative signs are consistent with QCD calculations (for baryon chemical potential, μ_{B}≤110 MeV) which contains the crossover transition range. In addition, for energies above 7.7 GeV, the measured proton κ_{n}, within uncertainties, does not support the two-component (Poisson+binomial) shape of proton number distributions that would be expected from a first-order phase transition. Taken in combination, the hyperorder proton number fluctuations suggest that the structure of QCD matter at high baryon density, μ_{B}∼750 MeV at sqrt[s_{NN}]=3 GeV is starkly different from those at vanishing μ_{B}∼24 MeV at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV and higher collision energies.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of pulsed radiofrequency of dorsal root ganglion combined with ozone injection on acute herpes zoster neuralgia in the neck and upper extremities. Methods: A total of 110 patients with acute phase herpes zoster neuralgia in the neck and upper extremities treated in the Department of Pain of Jiaxing First Hospital from January 2019 to February 2020 were retrospectively included. The patients were divided into two groups according to different treatment modalities: the pulsed radiofrequency group (group A, n=68) and the pulsed radiofrequency combined with ozone injection group (group B, n=42). In group A, there were 40 males and 28 females, aged (71.9±9.9) years, while group B consisted of 23 males and 19 females, aged (66.3±16.9) years. Patients were followed up, and numerical rating scale (NRS) score, dose of adjuvant gabapentin, incidence of clinically significant postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) and adverse effects were recorded preoperatively (T0) and at 1 d (T1), 3 d (T2), 1 week (T3), 1 month (T4), 2 months (T5), and 3 months (T6) postoperatively. Results: The NRS score of patients [M (Q1, Q3)] in group A at time points T0, T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T6 was 6 (6, 6), 2 (2, 2), 3 (3, 4), 3 (2, 3), 2 (2, 3), 2 (1, 3) , 1 (0, 2), respectively, while the NRS score at aforementioned time points in group B was 6 (6, 6), 2 (1, 2), 3 (3, 4), 3 (2, 3), 2 (2, 3), 2 (1, 3), 1 (0, 2), respectively. Compared with preoperative NRS scores, NRS scores decreased in both groups at all postoperative time points (all P<0.05). Compared with group A, the NRS scores of group B at time points T3, T4, T5, and T6 decreased more significantly, with statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). The dose of gabapentin in group A [M (Q1, Q3)] was 0.6 (0.6, 0.6), 0.3 (0.3, 0.6), 0.3 (0.0, 0.3) and 0.0 (0.0, 0.3) mg/d at time points T0, T4, T5, and T6, respectively, and 0.6 (0.6, 0.6), 0.3 (0.2, 0.3), 0.0 (0.0, 0.3) 0.0 (0.0, 0.0) mg/d in patients in group B, respectively. Compared with the preoperative period, the doses of gabapentin taken by patients in both groups reduced significantly at all postoperative time points (all P<0.05). Moreover, compared with group A, the gabapentin dose in group B decreased more significantly at time points T4, T5, and T6, with statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). The incidence of clinically significant PHN was 25.0% (17/68) and 7.1% (3/42) in groups A and B, respectively, and the differences were statistically significant (P=0.018). No serious adverse effects such as pneumothorax, spinal cord injury and hematoma were observed during the treatment period in both groups. Conclusion: Pulsed radiofrequency of dorsal root ganglion combined with ozone injection is safer and more effective for the treatment of acute phase herpes zoster neuralgia in the neck and upper extremities, and it can reduce the incidence of clinically significant PHN, with high safety profile.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate treatment responses, outcomes, and prognostic factors in adults with secondary acute myeloid leukemia (sAML) . Methods: Between January 2008 and February 2021, date of consecutive cases of younger than 65 years of adults with sAML were assessed retrospectively. Clinical characteristics at diagnosis, treatment responses, recurrence, and survival were evaluated. Logistic regression and Cox proportional hazards model were employed to determine significant prognostic indicators for treatment response and survival. Results: 155 patients were recruited, including 38, 46, 57, 14 patients belonging to t-AML, and AML with unexplained cytopenia, post-MDS-AML, and post-MPN-AML, respectively. In the 152 evaluable patients, the rate of MLFS after the initial induction regimen was 47.4%, 57.9%, 54.3%, 40.0%, and 23.1% in the four groups (P=0.076) . The total rate of MLFS after the induction regimen was 63.8%, 73.3%, 69.6%, 58.2%, and 38.5% (P=0.084) , respectively. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that male gender (OR=0.4, 95% CI 0.2-0.9, P=0.038 and OR=0.3, 95% CI 0.1-0.8, P=0.015) , SWOG cytogenetic classification into unfavorable or intermediate (OR=0.1, 95% CI 0.1-0.6, P=0.014 and OR=0.1, 95% CI 0.1-0.3, P=0.004) and receiving low-intensity regimen as induction regimen (OR=0.1, 95% CI 0.1-0.3, P=0.003 and OR=0.1, 95%CI 0.1-0.2, P=0.001) were typical adverse factors impacting the first CR and the final CR; PLT<45 × 10(9)/L (OR=0.4, 95%CI 0.2-0.9, P=0.038) and LDH ≥258 U/L (OR=0.3, 95%CI 0.1-0.7, P=0.005) were independent factors for CR. Among the 94 patients with achieving MLFS, 46 cases had allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. With a median follow-up period of 18.6 months, the probabilities of relapse-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) at 3 years were 25.4% and 37.3% in patients with transplantation, and in patients with chemotherapy, the probabilities of RFS and OS at 3-year were 58.2% and 64.3%, respectively. At the time of achieving MLFS, multivariate analysis revealed that age ≥46 years (HR=3.4, 95%CI 1.6-7.2, P=0.002 and HR=2.5, 95%CI 1.1-6.0, P=0.037) , peripheral blasts ≥17.5% at diagnosis (HR=2.5, 95%CI 1.2-4.9, P=0.010 and HR=4.1, 95%CI 1.7-9.7, P=0.002) , monosomal karyotypes (HR=4.9, 95%CI 1.2-19.9, P=0.027 and HR=28.3, 95%CI 4.2-189.5, P=0.001) were typical adverse factors influencing RFS and OS. Furthermore, CR after induction chemotherapy (HR=0.4, 95%CI 0.2-0.8, P=0.015) and transplantation (HR=0.4, 95%CI 0.2-0.9, P=0.028) were substantially linked to longer RFS. Conclusion: Post-MDS-AML and post-MPN-AML had lower response rates and poorer prognoses than t-AML and AML with unexplained cytopenia. In adults with male gender, low platelet count, high LDH, and SWOG cytogenetic classification into unfavorable or intermediate at diagnosis, and receiving low-intensity regimen as the induction regimen predicted a low response rate. Age ≥46 years, a higher proportion of peripheral blasts and monosomal karyotype had a negative effect on the overall outcome. Transplantation and CR after induction chemotherapy were greatly linked to longer RFS.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic value and safety of ultrathin bronchoscope and endobronchial ultrasonography with a guide sheath (EBUS-GS) combined with rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) system for peripheral pulmonary infectious diseases. METHODS The clinical data of 196 patients visiting our hospital, who had peripheral pulmonary lesions (PPLs) indicated by spiral computed tomography (CT) of the chest and were finally diagnosed as infectious PPLs, were retrospectively collected. Then the patients were divided into ultrathin bronchoscope + ROSE group, EBUS-GS + ROSE group and ultrathin bronchoscope + EBUS-GS + ROSE group based on different diagnostic techniques. Moreover, the general conditions, diagnostic results and specific operation parameters of the patients were recorded, and the diagnostic rate, sensitivity and complications were compared. RESULTS In ultrathin bronchoscope + EBUS-GS + ROSE group, the time of localizing lesions and operation time were the shortest, and the grade of bronchi reached by the bronchoscope was the highest. The differences were significant between any two groups (P<0.05). Patients with bacterial pneumonia, and patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacterial disease, ultrathin bronchoscope + EBUS-GS + ROSE group exhibited the highest definite diagnosis rate of bronchoscope and diagnostic sensitivity of ROSE system, with significant differences from those of the other two groups (P<0.05). The incidence rates of complications were low in all groups, and there were no significant differences between any two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS Ultrathin bronchoscope and EBUS-GS combined with ROSE system can prominently decrease the time of localizing lesions and operation time, remarkably improve the diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity and result in fewer complications.

Abstract
Self-development is an important basis for the professional development of teachers and future teachers. In this study, future teachers are graduate students whose majors are school counseling and mental health education. The performance of playback theater (PT) in the classroom has become an integral part of teaching, especially for teaching integral drama-based pedagogy (IDBP). Using qualitative research methods, researchers found that PT enables future teachers to deeply develop and experience “respect” and “empathy.” PT actively promotes self-development by using empathy as the main factor for promoting change in self-cognition, behavior, and emotional release. The improvisational action presents storytellers with accessible forms of empathic reaction. Researchers have discovered that the use of theater ritual and artistry are the external conditions for inspiring empathy by creating an atmosphere of equality, respect, and inclusion. Moreover, this atmosphere also promotes dialogue. Having learned empathy, individuals connect better with each and become more open to self-development through reflection.

Abstract
Background Increasing evidence has indicated that several B7 family members play critical roles in the progress of many cancers. However, the clinical significance of the B7 family in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) is still elusive. The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential role of B7-H1 biomolecules (PD-L1) in regulating the tumorigenesis and progression of cSCC, the most common non-melanoma skin cancer. Methods We collected transcriptome data of cSCC patients from TCGA databases (n = 496) and subjected the transcription data to bioinformatical analysis. Differential expression of B7-H1 genes with a grade-dependent pattern was identified. We collected paraffin sections of skin squamous carcinoma and analyzed by immunohistochemical staining. We further examined the PD-L1 levels of CD14+ cells in peripheral blood of each cSCC patient and normal subjects by flow cytometry. Results It was found that higher expression of PD-L1 was associated with poor prognosis of cSCC patients and shorter overall survival. These observations were further verified in the clinical paraffin sections and in peripheral blood T cells. Conclusion Our study reveals that PD-L1 is a potential prognostic marker in clinical prognosis for cSCC patients and could be valuable for cSCC treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The results of clinical trials for Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients treated with Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) revealed inconsistency in efficacy. OBJECTIVE To explore the neuroprotective effects and possible mechanisms of different IVIG in 3xTg-AD mice. METHODS 3-month-old 3xTg-AD mice were administered intraperitoneally with different IVIG (A/B/C) for 3 months and then the therapeutic effects were observed and tested at 9 months of age. The bioavailability of IVIG and Aβ40/42 concentrations in parietotemporal cortex was measured by ELISA. Behavioral tests were performed to examine cognitive functions. Immunohistochemistry was utilized to examine the deposition of Aβ, the phosphorylation of tau, the levels of GFAP and Iba-1 in the hippocampus. Proteomics, Luminex assay and parallel reaction monitoring were performed to identify and verify the proteins that showed a marked change in the hippocampus. RESULTS IVIG-C was more effective than IVIG-A and IVIG-B in counteracting cognitive deficits, ameliorating Aβ deposits and tau phosphorylation, attenuating the activation of microglia and astrocytes in the hippocampus and inhibiting the secretion of pro-inflammatory factors. IVIG-C affected innate immunity and suppressed the activation of antigen processing and presentation by MHC class I molecule (APP-MHC-I). CONCLUSION The efficacy of different IVIG on AD was significantly different, and only IVIG-C has been confirmed to possess significant neuroprotective effects, which are related to the inhibition of APP-MHC-I. IVIG may be a potential therapeutic for AD but further research is needed to evaluate the functional of IVIG before clinical trials of AD treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the role and significance of ultrasound-guided inferior parathyroid gland (IPTG) localization in searching and protecting parathyroid glands before thyroid surgery. Methods: A randomized controlled trial study was conducted. A total of 306 patients (433 cases of lateral parathyroidectomy) who underwent primary thyroidectomy and central lymph node dissection in Beijing Tongren Hosipital from March to October 2021 were enrolled. In order to locate IPTG more quickly and effectively, new IPTG classification and the definition of quadrant position were carried out. The patients were divided into the study group (n=228) and the control group (n=205). The study group underwent ultrasound-guided IPTG examination before operation and measured the distance between the IPTG and the lower pole of the thyroid and the midline of the trachea. During the operation, the IPTG was found and protected depending on the localization. The control group did not use any auxiliary preoperative positioning method. The distribution ratio of IPTG and the coincidence rate between intraoperative validation and ultrasound localization were calculated. Results: There were 306 patients enrolled in the final analysis (95 males and 211 females), with a median age of 41 years old (18-70). Type Ⅱ and Ⅲ IPTG accounted for 77.2% (176/228) of the total cases. The total coincidence rate ranged from 72.8% to 79.4% in different IPTG groups. Type Ⅲ and quadrant 2 IPTG had the highest coincidence rate [92.4% (73/79) and 92.9% (79/85), respectively]. The study group had better in situ retention rate [82.0% (187/228) vs 73.2% (150/205), χ2=4.896, P=0.027] and less implantation rate [8.8% (20/228) vs 16.1% (33/205), χ2=5.393, P=0.020] than those of the control group. The in situ retention rate were better in type Ⅲ IPTG group, compared with those of the control group [94.9% (74/78) vs 77.4% (48/62), χ2=7.898, P=0.005]. There was no permanent hypoparathyroidism in two groups and the temporary hypoparathyroidism rate was 32.0% (24/75) and 34.6% (18/52), respectively (χ2=0.095, P=0.758). Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided IPTG localization examination has important implications for searching and protecting IPTG during operation, which can significantly increase in situ retention rate of IPTG and decrease the implantation rate.

Abstract
Elliptic flow measurements from two-, four-, and six-particle correlations are used to investigate flow fluctuations in collisions of U+U at sqrt[s_{NN}]=193 GeV, Cu+Au at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV and Au+Au spanning the range sqrt[s_{NN}]=11.5-200 GeV. The measurements show a strong dependence of the flow fluctuations on collision centrality, a modest dependence on system size, and very little if any, dependence on particle species and beam energy. The results, when compared to similar LHC measurements, viscous hydrodynamic calculations, and trento model eccentricities, indicate that initial-state-driven fluctuations predominate the flow fluctuations generated in the collisions studied.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical features, risk factors and prognosis of idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) complicated with ischemic stroke (IS) (DCM-IS). Methods: The clinical data of patients with idiopathic DCM (n=613) in Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Liangxiang Hospital and Fuxing Hospital from January 2016 to December 2020 were retrospectively collected, and among them, 123 cases were DCM-IS. Clinical features of patients with DCM-IS were summarized and multivariate logistic regression model was utilized to analyze the independent risk factors of DCM-IS. Furthermore, 1-year follow-up was conducted and Kaplan-Meier curve was adopted to analyze the prognosis of DCM, using all-cause death and heart transplantation as adverse outcomes. Results: Among the 70 patients with DCM-IS, 6 patients (8.6%, 6/70) were in accordance with the subtype of large artery atherosclerosis, and 47 patients (67.1%, 47/70) were in line with the subtype of cardiogenic embolism, and small artery occlusion subtype (ie, lacunar infarction) were detected in 17 cases (24.3%, 17/70). Hypertension [odds ratio (OR)=1.617, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.049-2.491, P=0.029], hyperlipidemia (OR=1.918, 95%CI: 1.198-3.073, P=0.007), atrial fibrillation (AF) (OR=1.617, 95%CI: 1.016-2.572, P=0.043), lower estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) (OR=0.986, 95%CI: 0.977-0.996, P=0.005) and a higher incidence of intracardiac thrombus (OR=6.127, 95%CI: 3.174-11.827, P<0.001) were risk factors for DCM-IS. The overall 1-year survival rate was lower in DCM-IS patients (70.7%) than DCM patients without stroke (83.6%, P=0.004), and the main causes of death included obstinate heart failure (3 cases of DCM-IS, and 5 cases of non-DCM-IS) and malignant arrhythmia (DCM-IS) (22 cases of DCM-IS, and 18 cases of non-DCM-IS). Conclusions: Among IS patients with idiopathic DCM, cardioembolism is the most common, followed by lacunar infarction, and the large-artery atherosclerotic subtype is the least common.Hypertension, hyperlipidemia, AF, lower eGFR value and higher incidence of intracardiac thrombus are risk factors for DCM-IS. DCM patients complicated with IS have poor short-term prognosis, and obstinate heart failure and malignant arrhythmia are their main causes of death.

New Direct Limit on Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay Half-Life of ^{128}Te with CUORE. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 129:222501. Abstract
The Cryogenic Underground Observatory for Rare Events (CUORE) at Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso of INFN in Italy is an experiment searching for neutrinoless double beta (0νββ) decay. Its main goal is to investigate this decay in ^{130}Te, but its ton-scale mass and low background make CUORE sensitive to other rare processes as well. In this Letter, we present our first results on the search for 0νββ decay of ^{128}Te, the Te isotope with the second highest natural isotopic abundance. We find no evidence for this decay, and using a Bayesian analysis we set a lower limit on the ^{128}Te 0νββ decay half-life of T_{1/2}>3.6×10^{24} yr (90% CI). This represents the most stringent limit on the half-life of this isotope, improving by over a factor of 30 the previous direct search results, and exceeding those from geochemical experiments for the first time.

Abstract
Objective: To study the underlying mechanism of cadmium-induced apoptosis of mouse spermatocytes (GC-2 spd) . Methods: In March 2021, GC-2 spd cells were exposed to different concentrations of CdCl(2) for 24 hours, namely 5 μmol/L CdCl(2) (low-dose) group and 10 μmol/L CdCl(2) (high-dose) group, and unexposed GC-2 spd cells were used as control group. Mitochondrial morphology was observed in the cells stained with Mito-Track Red CMXRos fluorescent probes by confocal microscopy and the mitochrondrial membrane potential was measured by flow cytometry with JC-1 fluorescent probes. Mitochrondrial proteins, cytosolic proteins and total cellular proteins of GC-2 spd cells were extracted using cell mitochondria isolation kit and RIPA buffer, respectively. The expression of mitochondrial homeostasis regulatory proteins (FIS1 and OPA1), and apoptosis-related proteins (Cytochrome c and cleaved Caspase-3) were examined by Western blot. Results: Compared with the cells in the control group, the relative ratio of JC-1 red/green fluorescence signal in the cells of the low-dose and high-dose CdCl(2) groups decreased significantly (0.740±0.071, 0.570±0.028), with a statistically significant difference (P=0.017, 0.004) ; The morphology of mitochondria changed from long tube to point, and the proportion of cells containing point mitochondria increased significantly (45.1%±3.7% and 25.7%±4.9%), the difference was statistically significant (P=0.005, 0.001) ; The relative expression level of mitochondrial FIS1 in cells of low and high dose CdCl(2) groups was significantly higher (1.271±0.120, 1.693±0.155), the difference was statistically significant (P=0.046, 0.000) ; The relative expression level of OPA1 decreased significantly (0.838±0.050, 0.682±0.040), and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.049, 0.001). Compared with the control group, the relative expression level of cytochrome c protein in the cytoplasm of cells in the low dose group of CdCl(2) was not significantly increased (1.249±0.151), and the difference was not statistically significant (P=0.075). However, the relative expression level in the cytoplasm of cells in the high dose group of CdCl(2) was significantly increased (2.355±0.110), and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.000) ; The relative expression level of Cytochrome c in mitochondria of low and high dose CdCl(2) groups decreased significantly (0.681±0.043, 0.619±0.114), with a statistically significant difference (P=0.004, 0.001) ; Moreover, the level of cleaved Caspase-3 protein in cells gradually increased (5.486±0.544, 11.493±1.739), the difference was statistically significant (P=0.004, 0.000) . Conclusion: Cadmium induced cleaved Caspase-3 mediated apoptosis of GC-2 spd cells via promoting mitochrondrial fission and the release of Cytochrome c from the mitochrondria to the cytosol.

Abstract
The ^{13}C(α,n)^{16}O reaction is the main neutron source for the slow-neutron-capture process in asymptotic giant branch stars and for the intermediate process. Direct measurements at astrophysical energies in above-ground laboratories are hindered by the extremely small cross sections and vast cosmic-ray-induced background. We performed the first consistent direct measurement in the range of E_{c.m.}=0.24 to 1.9 MeV using the accelerators at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory and Sichuan University. Our measurement covers almost the entire intermediate process Gamow window in which the large uncertainty of the previous experiments has been reduced from 60% down to 15%, eliminates the large systematic uncertainty in the extrapolation arising from the inconsistency of existing datasets, and provides a more reliable reaction rate for the studies of the slow-neutron-capture and intermediate processes along with the first direct determination of the alpha strength for the near-threshold state.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the treatment outcomes and risk factors of postoperative recurrence in T4a papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Methods: A total of 185 patients with locally advanced T4a PTC treated in Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2006 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, including 127 females and 58 males, aged between 18 and 80 years, with 74 patients aged over 55 years. According to AJCC thyroid tumor staging, 111 cases were stage I (T4aN0M0 26 cases, T4aN1aM0 35 cases, and T4aN1bM0 50 cases) and 74 cases were stage Ⅲ (T4aN0M0 29 cases, T4aN1aM0 19 cases, and T4aN1bM0 26 cases). Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate the overall survival and the recurrence-free rate, and univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses on the clinical data were performed. Results: Recurrent laryngeal nerve invasion was observed in 150 cases, trachea invasion in 61 cases, esophagus invasion in 30 cases, and laryngeal structure invasion in 10 cases. Postoperative follow-up periods were 24-144 months, with an average of 68.29 months. Of the 185 patients, 18 (9.73%) had recurrences or metastases, including 9 cases (4.86%) died of recurrences or metastases. The 5-year and 10-year overall survival rates were respectively 95.21% and 93.10%. The 5-year and 10-year disease-free survival rates were respectively 89.65% and 86.85%. Univariate analysis showed that age of onset, tumor diameter, preoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy, esophageal invasion and cervical lymph node metastasis were the risk factors for postoperative recurrence of T4a PTC(all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that preoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy (OR=3.27, 95%CI: 1.11-9.61, P=0.032) and lateral cervical lymph node metastasis (OR=4.71, 95%CI: 1.19-18.71, P=0.027) were independent risk factors for T4a PTC recurrence. Survival rate of patients with T4a PTC involving only the recurrent laryngeal nerve or the outer tracheal membrane was significantly better than that of patients with tracheal invasion (P<0.05). Conclusions: T4a PTC patients with R0 resection can still achieve good efficacy. Preoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and lateral cervical lymph node metastasis are independent risk factor for postoperative recurrence in the patients.

[Construction of zebrafish models for screening intracranial hemorrhage associated genes]. ZHONGHUA YI XUE ZA ZHI 2022; 102:2619-2623. Abstract
Objective: To construct zebrafish models for the screening of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) associated genes. Methods: ICH zebrafish models were constructed through morpholino oligonucleotides (MOs) technique and microinjection technique, and multiple verification was performed from macro and micro perspectives. First, the normal wild-type AB strain zebrafish injected with control MO was used as the control group, and AB zebrafish embryos microinjected with MOs of genes related to development of neural crest-derived cells (NCDCs) were used as the study group, such as col8a1 MO, tfap2α MO, msx1a MO, msx2 MO, and dkk1a MO. Preliminary verification of the model was conducted under a white-light optical microscope. Then, the model was verified by Tg (flk1: gfp; gata1: dsRed) double transgenic zebrafish, with vascular endothelial cells labeled by green fluorescent protein (GFP) and red blood cell labeled by fluorescent protein (dsRed), and thus the location of cerebral hemorrhage can be observed more clearly. Specifically, zebrafish embryos were microinjected with Control MO as the control group and those microinjected with col8a1 MO as the study group. Then the embryos were cultured until 48 hours post-fertilization to observe the leakage of red blood cells under the confocal laser scanning microscope. Finally, Tg (flk1: gfp) transgenic zebrafish was used to verify the model based on the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Through the leakage of dextran-rhodamine and DAPI dyes, the destruction of BBB and the occurrence of cerebral hemorrhage in zebrafish were further clarified, and quantitative statistics were carried out to verify the relationship between NCDCs development related genes and cerebral hemorrhage phenotype, which proved that the modeling was effective. Results: The zebrafish with col8a1, tfap2α, and msx1 mutations in the study group had apparent ICH compared with wildtype zebrafish, and the prevalence of ICH was 18.18% (52/286), 23.04% (62/251), and 35.94% (23/64), respectively. While, the zebrafish with msx2 and dkk1a mutations rarely had ICH, with the ICH prevalence of 1.03% (1/97) and 1.15% (1/87), respectively. The prevalence of red blood cells leakage in Tg (flk1:gfp; gata1:dsred) double transgenic zebrafish injected with Control Mo and col8a1 Mo was 0.37% (1/273) and 18.18% (52/286) (P<0.001). The number of DAPI positive nuclei of Tg (flk1: gfp) transgenic zebrafish injected with Control Mo and col8a1 Mo was 10.05±5.27 and 60.35±3.96 (P<0.001), and the fluorescent intensity of midbrain parenchymal induced by dextran-rhodamin leakage was 2.54±4.70 and 5.13±3.52 (P<0.001). Conclusion: This study successfully constructs the ICH zebrafish models, and ICH-related genes are screened out, such as col8a1, tfap2α, msx1, and so on.

Abstract
The STAR Collaboration reports measurements of back-to-back azimuthal correlations of di-π^{0}s produced at forward pseudorapidities (2.6<η<4.0) in p+p, p+Al, and p+Au collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 200 GeV. We observe a clear suppression of the correlated yields of back-to-back π^{0} pairs in p+Al and p+Au collisions compared to the p+p data. The observed suppression of back-to-back pairs as a function of transverse momentum suggests nonlinear gluon dynamics arising at high parton densities. The larger suppression found in p+Au relative to p+Al collisions exhibits a dependence of the saturation scale Q_{s}^{2} on the mass number A. A linear scaling of the suppression with A^{1/3} is observed with a slope of -0.09±0.01.

Abstract
The first study of the angular distribution of μ^{+}μ^{-} pairs produced in the forward rapidity region via the Drell-Yan reaction pp→γ^{*}/Z+X→ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}+X is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb^{-1}. The coefficients of the five leading terms in the angular distribution are determined as a function of the dimuon transverse momentum and rapidity. The results are compared to various theoretical predictions of the Z-boson production mechanism and can also be used to probe transverse-momentum-dependent parton distributions within the proton.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical manifestations and prognosis of multiple myeloma (MM) patients with t(8;14)(q24;q32). Methods: The clinical data of MM patients with G-banding results from 2004 to 2009 in Hematology Department of People's Hospital of Peking University were retrospectively analyzed. The general data, M protein related examination, cytogenetics data, therapeutic regimen and response evaluation of MM patients with t(8;14)(q24;q32) were collected. Results: Of all newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients, the number of patients who had G-banding results was 940, among which 265 had abnormal karyotype in G-banding, accounting for 28.19%. The incidence of t(8;14)(q24;q32) detected by G-banding in MM patients was 0.85%(8/940), t(8;14)(q24;q32) accounted for 3.02%(8/265) of all choromosome abnormalities detected by G-banding. Seven of eight patients were male with a median age of 63.5(56-76) and the immunoglobulin sub-types seven in eight patients were lambda. All eight patients had DS stage Ⅲ at the time of initial diagnosis. FISH detection of these eight patients showed six patients(75%) with 1q21 amplification, and five patients(62.5%) with G-banding results showed abnormal chromosome 1. Among the eight patients, the number of patients reached complete response ,very good response and partial response were separately four, one and two, and the overall response rate(ORR) was 87.5%. After the median follow-up 35 months(23-65months), 2 patients died, and the OS of the dead patients exceeded 5 years. Conclusions: Patients with t(8;14)(q24;q32) accounted for 0.85% of the total who have the results of G banding in our hospital. Of our 8 patients, the light chain sub-type Lambda was more than Kappa, the patients were more common in males, accompanied by 1q21 amplification and chromosome 1 abnormality. The tumor load was high at the time of diagnosis, but the overall response to treatment was fair.

Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to explore variables associated with remission rate and survival in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) after induction failure and relapse. Methods: Data of 373 consecutive patients with AML were analyzed after induction failure and relapse. Binary logistics and the Cox model regression were used to identify variables associated with remission rate and outcomes. Results: In patients with AML after induction failure and relapse, the total CR+CRi rates were 50.6% and 40.3%, respectively; among those who achieved CR/CRi, the 3-year RFS rates were 34.4% and 30.4%, respectively, and the 3-year overall survival rates were 40.1% and 31.6%, respectively. In the multivariate analyses, using CLAG or FLAG regimen as a re-induction chemotherapy regimen, age <39 years and SWOG low-risk were significantly associated with higher remission rates in patients with induction failure. Male, secondary AML, SWOG high-risk, the interval from the first remission to relapse within 12 months, and bone marrow blasts ≥20% at the time of relapse were significantly associated with lower remission rates in relapsed patients. Transplantation was significantly associated with prolonged relapse-free survival and overall survival in patients achieving hematologic remission; the SWOG low-risk group was significantly associated with longer overall survival in those with induction failure; and achieving CR (not CRi) or having female gender was associated with longer RFS or overall survival in relapsed patients. Conclusion: Reinduction chemotherapy regimen, age, gender, SWOG risk, secondary AML, the interval from the first remission to relapse, and bone marrow blast percentage at the time of relapse were significantly associated with remission rates in the patients with AML after induction failure and relapse. Transplantation, SWOG low-risk, achieving CR, or female gender were associated with longer survivals in those achieving remission.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of D-dimer on the prognosis of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Methods: A total of 1 658 patients who were first diagnosed with aSAH in West China Hospital of Sichuan University from December 2013 to June 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were divided into four groups according to the median and quartiles of D-dimer level, including 415 cases, 414 cases, 414 cases, and 415 cases in groups Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4, respectively. Groups Q2, Q3, Q4, and group Q1 were matched by propensity score matching (PSM), and the correlation between D-dimer and each outcome was analyzed by logistic regression. Since there is no general clinical classification standard for D-dimer, this study attempted to reclassify patients into groups q1 (<0.55 mg/L, 94 cases), q2 (0.55-1.65 mg/L, 435 cases), q3 (1.65-5.50 mg/L, 650 cases) and q4 (>5.50 mg/L, 303 cases) based on 1, 3, 5, 10 times of the upper limit of the current clinical reference value. Results: The age of 1 658 aSAH patients were (57±12) years, including 1 068 males and 590 females. After PSM based on the median and quartiles of D-dimer level, there were 318 cases, 318 cases, 251 cases, and 229 cases in groups Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4, respectively. Compared with group Q1 (<1.23 mg/L), the risk of in-hospital infection (OR=2.14, 95%CI: 1.47-3.11, P<0.001), pneumonia (OR=2.22, 95%CI: 1.51-3.28, P<0.001), urinary tract infection (OR=1.75, 95%CI: 1.12-2.75, P=0.014) and intracranial rebleeding (OR=3.59, 95%CI: 1.30-9.91, P=0.013) group Q4 (>4.95 mg/L) was higher. Likewise, the risk of adverse outcomes in group Q4 was also higher than that in group Q1, including unfavorable outcome at discharge (OR=2.12, 95%CI: 1.43-3.14, P<0.001), mortality during hospitalization (OR=3.03, 95%CI: 1.26-7.33, P=0.014), mortality within 90 days (OR=2.33, 95%CI:1.29-4.22, P=0.005), mortality within 180 days (OR=1.92, 95%CI: 1.12-3.29, P=0.018), mortality within 1 year (OR=2.07, 95%CI:1.23-3.47, P=0.006) and mortality during the longest follow-up period (OR=1.97, 95%CI:1.26-3.09, P=0.003). After secondary grouping and PSM based on current clinical reference values, there were 90 cases, 87 cases, 90 cases, and 43 cases, respectively in groups q1, q2, q3 and q4. The risk of nosocomial infection (OR=2.26, 95%CI: 1.14-4.45, P=0.019), blood-borne infection (OR=8.86, 95%CI:1.08-72.78, P=0.042), poor prognosis at discharge (OR=4.92, 95%CI: 2.18-11.07, P<0.001), death within 180 days (OR=3.39, 95%CI: 1.04-11.08, P=0.043), death within 1 year (OR=3.23, 95%CI: 1.10-9.49, P=0.033), and death within the longest follow-up period (OR=3.28, 95%CI: 1.34-8.01, P=0.009) was still higher in group q4 than that in group q1. Conclusion: aSAH patients with high D-dimer level have a higher risk of complications and mortality during hospitalization and worse clinical prognosis.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of the modified Latarjet procedure in the treatment of recurrent anterior subluxation of the shoulder by "coaxial co-arc" reconstruction of the glenoid cavity. Methods: The clinical data of 103 cases (106 shoulders) of recurrent anterior dislocation of the shoulder admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Military Medical University from January 2005 to December 2020 were retrospectively studied. Out of these cases, 84 were males and 19 were females; 31 with left-sided injuries while 75 with right-sided injuries, with a mean age of (29.4±11.5) years (16-61 years). The preoperative anterior fear test was positive, and a modified Latarjet procedure was used to reconstruct the shoulder glenoid defect through a "coaxial co-arc". The Rowe score, simple shoulder test (SST) score, and Visual analogue scale (VAS) score of pain were used to assess the shoulder's function. Parameters such as the postoperative shoulder recurrent dislocation rate, shoulder body external rotation angle, and subscapularis muscle strength changes were recorded postoperatively. Moreover, radiographs and CT scans were used to check for the incidence of osteoarthritis (Samson-Prieto score). Results: After a mean follow-up of 9.0 years (1 to 16 years), bony healing occurred 3 to 6 months postoperatively. The Rowe score improved from 40.4±6.5 preoperatively to 93.2±2.5 (P<0.001), the SST score improved from 5.2±1.3 preoperatively to 10.1±1.5 (P<0.001), and the VAS pain score decreased from 3.5±1.9 preoperatively to 1.1±1.2 (P<0.001) at the final follow-up. The angle of lateral external rotation of the shoulder joint was 58.8°±15.6° preoperatively and 57.6°±14.5° postoperatively with no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the measurement of subscapularis muscle strength between the healthy side and the affected side (P>0.05). In 89.6% of patients after surgery, coaxial co-arc reconstruction of the shoulder glenoid was obtained, and the shoulder glenoid defect and postoperative inclusion angle were significantly improved compared with those before surgery (P<0.001). Postoperatively, new-onset osteoarthritis developed in 7 cases (7/98), arthritis progressed in 2 cases (2/8), incisional healing was poor in 2 cases (2/98), and revision surgery was performed in 2 cases (2/98) due to bone mass detachment. Conclusion: Coracoid osteotomy and concentric coaxial reconstruction of the glenoid cavity elicits adequate good clinical efficacy for cases of recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation, with low recurrence rates, low revision rates and low incidence of osteoarthritis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We explored circadian clock-related genes (CCRG) to establish a risk model and identify associations with the tumor immune microenvironment in cutaneous melanoma (CM). METHODS Circadian clock genes were downloaded from Circadian Gene Database. To explore CM-related circadian clock genes, we combined multivariate cox regression associated with least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and validated it in the GSE65904 dataset. Time-dependent receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and Kaplan-Meier analysis were calculated to determine a CCRG risk score model. In addition, the overall survival nomograms of clinicopathological factors and circadian clock-associated gene signatures. Additionally, we evaluated the connection between circadian clock-associated genes with immune checkpoint inhibitors and immune cell infiltration. RESULTS Two circadian-clock-related signatures were established. The risk model included SEMA4D (p < 0.001, HR: 0.709, 95% CI: 0.581 to 0.867) and SOD-2 (p<=0.009, HR: 0.790, 95% CI: 0.663 to 0.944) in patients with TCGA melanoma. The risk model was based on two CCRGs enriched in base excision repair, glycosylphosphatidyl (GPI ), and one carbon of the folate pathway. The overall survival was lower in the high-risk group. In addition, the circadian-clock signature may be able to evaluate the immunotherapy response. CONCLUSIONS We developed and validated a circadian signature to characterize the clinical significance and tumor microenvironment of cutaneous melanoma, revealing that circadian rhythms may impact cutaneous melanoma.

Safety and effectiveness of apatinib in elderly patients with metastatic gastric cancer: a sub-analysis from the large-scale, prospective observational study of apatinib for gastric cancer treatment in a real-world clinical setting (AHEAD-G202). J Gastrointest Oncol 2022; 13:1679-1689. [PMID: 36092345 PMCID: PMC9459208 DOI: 10.21037/jgo-22-727] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Journal Information] [Submit a Manuscript] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 07/05/2022] [Accepted: 08/11/2022] [Indexed: 11/06/2022] Open
Abstract
Background Apatinib was shown to improve the survival of Chinese patients with refractory metastatic gastric cancer (mGC). As an orally administered drug, it has been widely used in elderly patients because the dosing schedule can be adjusted flexibly. However, data on the efficacy and safety of apatinib in elderly patients is scarce. The aim of this study was to evaluate the toxicity and effectiveness of apatinib for elderly patients with mGC in a real-world setting. Methods Data from the sub-population of patients who were ≥65 years enrolled in the AHEAD-G202 trial were analyzed. Patients with mGC were prospectively registered and initially received ≤850 mg oral apatinib daily combined or not combined with chemotherapy, at the investigator’s discretion. The primary endpoint was safety. The secondary endpoints were overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS). Results A total of 117 patients were included. There were 51 (43.59%) patients in the low-dose (250 mg) group, 60 (51.28%) patients in the mid-dose (425 to 500 mg) group, and 6 (5.13%) patients in the high-dose (850 mg) group according to the initial daily doses. Hypertension (6.84%) was the only grade 3–4 adverse event (AE) with a prevalence of more than 5% and across the low-dose (11.76%), mid-dose (3.33%) and high-dose group (0%). The median OS and PFS were 7.13 months (95% CI: 5.04 to 9.22 months) and 4.27 months (95% CI: 3.24 to 5.29 months), respectively. The OS and PFS were similar among the 65–74 and ≥75 years groups (χ2=1.406, P=0.306; χ2=0.378, P=0.066, respectively). The OS and PFS were also comparable among the 3 dose groups. Conclusions Elderly patients with mGC can tolerate and benefit from apatinib therapy. A lower initial daily dosing strategy may be a suitable choice for elderly patients in clinical practice.

Abstract
Objective: In order to provide the precise prevention and control strategy of drug resistance TB in Gansu province, we analyzed the status and risk factors of new drug resistance pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Methods: New pulmonary tuberculosis patients were enrolled from 30 tuberculosis-specialized medical institutions (drug resistance monitoring stations) in Gansu province between first September 2014 to 31th August 2017, and filled in the survey questionnaire. The isolated Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) strains were implemented 10 drugs drug- susceptibility tes, including isoniazid (INH), rifampicin (RFP), ethambutol (EMB), streptomycin (Sm), kanamycin (Km), amikacin (Am), ofloxacin (Ofx), capreomycin (Cm), propithio-iso-nicotinamide (Pto). The risk factors were analyzed by logistic regression model. Results: One patient was corresponding one clinical isolates among 1 815 patients. The rate (95%CI) of total drug-resistance, single drugresistance, multiple drug- resistance, multidrug-resistance and extensively drug-resistant were 25.45% (23.45%-27.46%), 11.40% (9.94%-12.87%),6.23% (5.11%-7.34%), 7.82% (6.59%-9.06%) and 0.28% (0.03%-0.52%) respectively. Among 142 multidrug-resistant TB patients, the farmers, young adults aged 20-59 and low-income group were 90.85%, 62.68% and 31.69%, respectively. The results of univariate and multivariate analysis showed that the male, non-Han, treatment less than 1 month group and treatment less than 1 month and withdrawal less than 2 month group were risk factors of new multidrug-resistant pulmonary TB. Conclusions: Compared with the Chinese national baseline level of TB resistance, the total drug resistance rate of new TB patients in Gansu province was low, but the multidrug-resistance rate was high. The health assistance for rural low-income TB patients was still an important strategy to prevent and control multidrug-resistant in Gansu province. And measures must implement to stop irregular treatment and poor compliance, as the risk factors of multidrug-resistance in new PTB patients.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the clinical features, treatments and outcomes of patients with SMARCB1(INI-1)-deficient sinonasal carcinoma (SDSC). Methods: Fifteen patients who were diagnosed as SDSC in Beijing Tongren Hospital from October 2016 to June 2021 were retrieved, including nine males and six females, ranged from 25 to 78 years old. For TNM stage, one case was in stage T2, one case was in stage T3, 13 cases were in stage T4; 13 cases were in stage N0, two cases were in stage N2; 14 cases were in stage M0, one case was in stage M1. The most common paranasal sinus affected by tumor was the ethmoid sinus. Five patients were treated by radical surgical resection combined with postoperative adjuvant therapy, four patients treated by neoadjuvant therapy with surgical resection, three patients treated by surgical resection only, one patient treated by neoadjuvant therapy with concurrent chemoradiotherapy, one patient treated by preoperative radiotherapy with surgery, and one patient received palliative chemotherapy. Immunohistochemical analysis was performed in all cases. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to draw the survival curve, and the Log-rank test was used to compare the difference to 20 undifferentiated carcinoma patients with positive INI-1 expression in the same period. Results: Immunohistochemical analysis showed the complete absence of INI-1 expression in the tumor nuclei in all 15 cases. The follow-up information was available with a median follow-up time of 21 months (3-56 months). The 3-year overall survival rate, disease specific survival rate, disease-free survival rate and metastasis-free survival rate were 58.9%, 58.9%, 36.4% and 31.2%, respectively. Disease-free survival in SDSC patients was significantly lower compared with undifferentiated carcinoma patients with positive INI-1 expression (HR=2.87,95%CI:0.92~8.91,P=0.043). Cox regression analysis showed that patients with comprehensive treatment based on surgery had a better prognosis than others (HR=8.61,95%CI:1.38~53.73,P=0.021). Conclusion: SDSC is a highly aggressive malignant tumor with the characteristics of easy recurrence, early metastasis and poor prognosis. INI-1 immunohistochemical analysis is recommended in the pathologically poorly differentiated sinonasal carcinoma. Comprehensive treatment based on radical resection may be the first choice for SDSC patients.

[HECTD2 Represses Cell Proliferation in Colorectal Cancer through Driving Ubiquitination and Degradation of LPCAT1]. Mol Biol (Mosk) 2022; 56:574-584. Abstract
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a malignancy featured by a poor overall survival and a high recurrence rate, whereas the biomarkers for CRC remain to be investigated. Herein, it was found that lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 1 (LPCAT1) was highly expressed in CRC, and LPCAT1 overexpression significantly promoted CRC cell proliferation, while it was reversed by LPCAT1 depletion. In addition, HECT domain-containing 2 (HECTD2) protein was determined as a post-translational mediator of LPCAT1 because HECTD2 co-immunoprecipitated with high ubiquitinated LPCAT1. Furthermore, upregulated LPCAT1 rescued the impairment of CRC cell proliferation caused by HECTD2 overexpression. In conclusion, our findings supported HECTD2/LPCAT1 axis as a potential prognostic biomarker in CRC.

Barriers to colorectal cancer screening in Ghana: a qualitative study of patients and physicians. Cancer Causes Control 2022; 33:951-958. [PMID: 35415797 PMCID: PMC9005024 DOI: 10.1007/s10552-022-01578-7] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 07/23/2021] [Accepted: 03/25/2022] [Indexed: 11/28/2022]
Abstract
PURPOSE The incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) in Ghana has increased eightfold since the 1960s. In 2011, national guidelines were set forth recommending all patients aged 50-70 years old undergo annual CRC screening with fecal occult blood testing (FOBT), but adherence to these guidelines is poor and screening rates remain low for unclear reasons. METHODS We performed semi-structured interviews with 28 Ghanaians including physicians (n = 14) and patients (n = 14) from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana, to better understand the factors driving screening adherence and perceived barriers identified in an earlier quantitative study. RESULTS Participants reported sociocultural factors such as reliance on alternative medicine or religion, lack of education, and financial burden as community-level barriers to CRC screening. At the system level, screening was limited by insufficient access to FOBT as well as a perceived lack of national prioritization. This was described as inadequate efforts from the Ministry of Health regarding national education as well as lack of incorporation of CRC screening into the National Health Insurance Scheme. CONCLUSION Several community- and system-level barriers exist to widespread screening of CRC in Ghana. A multi-level approach will be required to improve rates of CRC screening and ultimately reduce the burden of CRC in Ghana.

Comparison of L-Carnitine vs. Coq10 and Vitamin E for idiopathic male infertility: a randomized controlled trial. EUROPEAN REVIEW FOR MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL SCIENCES 2022; 26:4698-4704. [PMID: 35856361 DOI: 10.26355/eurrev_202207_29194] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [MESH Headings] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 06/15/2023]
Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed at comparing sperm parameters and hormonal levels with L-carnitine vs. CoQ10 and Vitamin E therapy for patients with asthenozoospermia and teratozoospermia. PATIENTS AND METHODS A single-blind randomized controlled trial (RCT) was designed wherein patients were randomly allocated to receive L-carnitine complex nutrient treatment (study group - 15 g/bag, orally one bag at a time, twice a day) or CoQ10 (control group - 10 mg tablet orally, thrice daily) with Vitamin E (100 mg tablet orally, thrice daily) for three months. Outcome variables were sperm concentration, progressive sperm motility, normal sperm morphology, testosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone (LH), and prolactin levels. RESULTS 143 patients were analyzed (73 in study and 70 in control group). Compared to baseline, sperm count, progressive sperm motility, and morphology improved significantly in the study group, but only progressive sperm motility and morphology improved in the control group. Serum testosterone levels significantly increased both in the study and control groups, while LH increased only in the study but not in the control group. All sperm parameters showed significantly better improvement in the study group, compared to the control group. Testosterone and LH levels were also higher in the study group compared to the control group. CONCLUSIONS L-carnitine significantly improves sperm motility, morphology, and concentration, while also improving testosterone and LH levels. Use of CoQ10 and Vitamin E resulted in improvement of only sperm motility, morphology, and testosterone levels. L-carnitine was found to be superior to the combination of CoQ10 and Vitamin E in improving sperm parameters. Further studies examining clinical pregnancy rates are needed to strengthen the evidence.
