Abstract
Heteroanionic materials exhibit great structural diversity with adjustable electronic, magnetic, and optical properties that provide immense opportunities for materials design. Within this material family, perovskite oxynitrides incorporate earth-abundant nitrogen with differing size, electronegativity, and charge into oxide, enabling a unique approach to tuning metal-anion covalency and energy of metal cation electronic states, thereby achieving functionality that may be inaccessible from their perovskite oxide counterparts, which have been widely studied as electrocatalysts. However, it is very challenging to directly obtain such materials due to the poor thermal stability of late transition metals coordinated with N and/or at high valence states. Herein, we introduce an effective strategy to prepare a perovskite oxynitride with a small fraction of sites substituted with Ir and adopt it as the first electrocatalyst in this material family, thereby enabling high activity and efficient utilization of precious metal content. From a series of characterization techniques, including X-ray absorption spectroscopy, atomic resolution electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction, we prove the successful incorporation of Ir into a strontium tungsten oxynitride perovskite structure and discover the formation of a unique Ir-N/O coordination structure. Benefitting from this, the material exhibits a high activity toward the hydrogen evolution reaction, which exhibits an ultralow overpotential of only 8 mV to reach 10 mA/cm2geo in 0.5 M H2SO4 and 4.5-fold enhanced mass activity compared to commercial Pt/C. This work opens a new avenue for oxynitride material synthesis as well as pursuit of a new class of high-performance electrocatalysts.

Abstract
Iron, nitrogen-codoped carbon (Fe-N-C) nanocomposites have emerged as viable electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) due to the formation of FeNx Cy coordination moieties. In this study, results from first-principles calculations show a nearly linear correlation of the energy barriers of key reaction steps with the Fe magnetic moment. Experimentally, when single Cu sites are incorporated into Fe-N-C aerogels (denoted as NCAG/Fe-Cu), the Fe centers exhibit a reduced magnetic moment and markedly enhanced ORR activity within a wide pH range of 0-14. With the NCAG/Fe-Cu nanocomposites used as the cathode catalyst in a neutral/quasi-solid aluminum-air and alkaline/quasi-solid zinc-air battery, both achieve a remarkable performance with an ultrahigh open-circuit voltage of 2.00 and 1.51 V, large power density of 130 and 186 mW cm-2 , and good mechanical flexibility, all markedly better than those with commercial Pt/C or Pt/C-RuO2 catalysts at the cathode.

Abstract
Carbon-supported nanocomposites are attracting particular attention as high-performance, low-cost electrocatalysts for electrochemical water splitting. These are mostly prepared by pyrolysis and hydrothermal procedures that are time-consuming (from hours to days) and typically difficult to produce a nonequilibrium phase. Herein, for the first time ever, we exploit magnetic induction heating-quenching for ultrafast production of carbon-FeNi spinel oxide nanocomposites (within seconds), which exhibit an unprecedentedly high performance towards oxygen evolution reaction (OER), with an ultralow overpotential of only +260 mV to reach the high current density of 100 mA cm−2. Experimental and theoretical studies show that the rapid heating and quenching process (ca. 103 K s−1) impedes the Ni and Fe phase segregation and produces a Cl-rich surface, both contributing to the remarkable catalytic activity. Results from this study highlight the unique advantage of ultrafast heating/quenching in the structural engineering of functional nanocomposites to achieve high electrocatalytic performance towards important electrochemical reactions.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the preliminary efficacy and safety of ab interno canaloplasty (ABiC) combined with micro-incision cataract surgery for treating primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) combined with cataract. Methods: Prospective case series study. Patients diagnosed with POAG and concurrent cataract were enrolled to receive ABiC combined with micro-incision phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in the Eye Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from June 2018 to October 2019. Intraocular pressure (IOP), use of hypotensive medications, visual acuity, visual field, and optic nerve at baseline as well as at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months postoperatively were assessed. Subgroup analyses were further performed to evaluate these data between controlled and uncontrolled POAG, as well as among mild, moderate, and advanced POAG. Success rate and complications were analyzed. Results: A total of 68 eyes in 42 patients completed a follow-up of 12 months. Compared to the baseline IOP under medical control [(18.25±2.65) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa)], the mean postoperative IOP at 1 month [(14.31±3.25) mmHg], 3 months [(14.00±3.09) mmHg], 6 months[ (14.58±2.93) mmHg], and 12 months[ (14.84±2.73) mmHg] was all significantly reduced (P<0.05). The median (upper quadrant, lower quadrant) of the hypotensive medication number was 2.5 (2, 3) at baseline, which was significantly reduced to 0 (0, 1) at 1 month, and 0 (0, 0) at 3, 6, and 12 months (P<0.05). The complete success rate and qualified success rate at 12 months were 80.88%(55/68) and 89.71%(61/68), respectively. No deterioration in the visual field or optical coherence tomography scan of the optic nerve was observed at 12 months compared to the baseline status. Hyphema (26 eyes, 38.24%) and transient IOP spike (23 eyes, 33.82%) were the most common complications, but no severe case was present. Conclusion: ABiC combined with micro-incision cataract surgery is considerably effective and safe in the treatment of POAG combined with cataract in the Chinese population.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To describe prevalence, incidence, and progression of radiographic and symptomatic hand osteoarthritis (OA), and evaluate age, sex, race and risk factors differences. METHODS We assessed both radiographic and symptomatic hand OA at baseline and year 4 for incident disease. A modified poisson regression with a robust variance estimator was used to account for clustering of joints within fingers within persons to estimate the prevalence ratios and relative risk estimates associated with participant characteristics. RESULTS Of 3588 participants, the prevalence hand OA was 41.4% for radiographic hand OA and 12.4 % for symptomatic hand OA. The incidence of hand OA over 48 months was 5.6 % for radiographic hand OA, and 16.9 % for symptomatic hand OA. Over 48 months, 27.3 % participants exhibited OA progression. We found complex differences by age, sex and race with both men and women having increasing prevalent hand OA with age, but women peaking at age 55-65, for incident disease. Women have more symptomatic hand OA than men but only non-significantly higher rates for incident radiographic hand OA. Women have more distal interphalangeal joint disease while men have more metacarpal joint OA. Black men and women have less hand OA than whites but black men have more hand OA than black women at younger ages. CONCLUSION Hand OA is a heterogeneous disease with complex differences by age, sex and race, hand symptoms and patterns of specific joints. Further research investigating the mechanisms behind these differences whether mechanical, metabolic, hormonal, or constitutional is warranted.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We evaluated the modified anterior midline approach and its efficacy for hyperextension bicondylar tibial plateau (HEBTP) fractures. METHODS From 2015 to 2019, 18 patients with HEBTP fractures with just little posterior cortical displacement were treated using the modified anterior midline approach. The operative protocols are fully described in this article, and the following parameters: articular step-off height (ASH), posterior tibial slope angle (pTSA), and medial tibial plateau angle (mTPA) were measured perioperatively and at the final follow-up. We also recorded the Rasmussen score and range of motion (ROM) to assess knee joint function at the final follow-up. RESULTS No complications, such as percutaneous nerve damage, infection, skin necrosis, and internal fixation breakage or loosening occurred perioperatively. The mean time for bony union was 13.7 weeks, and the mean preoperative ASH of the anterior cortex was 4.49 mm; this was restored to its normal height after surgery. The mean preoperative pTSA and mTPA were - 5.89° and 81.69°, respectively, compared with 3.89° and 87.91°, respectively, postoperatively. Comparing the postoperative and final follow-up radiographs, there were no significant differences in ASH, pTSA, and mTPA (P < 0.05). The average Rasmussen score was 27.2 (range, 23-29) at the final follow-up. Excellent results were achieved in 14 (77.8%) patients and good in 4 (22.2%) patients. The mean ROM in flexion was 123.2° and 2.9° in extension at the final follow-up. CONCLUSIONS This study suggested that the modified anterior midline approach is a reasonable alternative for HEBTP fracture repair.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The imbalance of gut microbiota has been linked to manifold endocrine diseases, but the association with Graves' disease (GD) is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between human gut microbiota and clinical characteristics and thyroidal functional status of GD. METHODS 14 healthy volunteers (CG) and 15 patients with primary GD (HG) were recruited as subjects. 16SrDNA high-throughput sequencing was performed on IlluminaMiSeq platform to analyze the characteristics of gut microbiota in patients with GD. Among them, the thyroid function of 13 patients basically recovered after treatment with anti-thyroid drugs (oral administration of Methimazole for 3-5 months). The fecal samples of patients after treatment (TG) were sequenced again, to further explore and investigate the potential relationship between dysbacteriosis and GD. RESULTS In terms of alpha diversity index, the observed OTUs, Simpson and Shannon indices of gut microbiota in patients with GD were significantly lower than those in healthy volunteers (P < 0.05).The difference of bacteria species was mainly reflected in the genus level, in which the relative abundance of Lactobacillus, Veillonella and Streptococcus increased significantly in GD. After the improvement of thyroid function, a significant reduction at the genus level were Blautia, Corynebacter, Ruminococcus and Streptococcus, while Phascolarctobacterium increased significantly (P < 0.05). According to Spearman correlation analysis, the correlation between the level of thyrotropin receptor antibody (TRAb) and the relative abundance of Lactobacillus and Ruminococcus was positive, while Synergistetes and Phascolarctobacterium showed a negative correlation with TRAb. Besides, there were highly significant negative correlation between Synergistetes and clinical variables of TRAb, TPOAb and TGAb (P < 0.05, R < - 0.6). CONCLUSIONS This study revealed that functional status and TRAb level in GD were associated with composition and biological function in the gut microbiota, with Synergistetes and Phascolarctobacterium protecting the thyroid probably, while Ruminococcus and Lactobacillus may be novel biomarkers of GD.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the trend of morbidity and mortality of pancreatic cancer in China from 2005 to 2015 and estimate the related age, period and cohort effect, respectively. Methods: Joinpoint regression analysis was used to analyze the trend of morbidity rate and mortality rate of pancreatic cancer during 2005-2015 and calculate the annual percentage change and average annual percentage change based on the data in the annual report of China Cancer Registry. Population aged 20-84 years was fitted by the Age-Period-Cohort model to estimate the effect parameters of age, period and cohort. Results: The trend variations of the crude morbidity rate and crude mortality rate of pancreatic cancer were consistent. The morbidity rate of pancreatic cancer firstly increased before 2008 and then decreased. The morbidity rate and mortality rate of pancreatic cancer were higher in men than women, and higher in urban areas than in rural areas. From 2005 to 2015, the overall age-standardized morbidity rate of pancreatic cancer increased by 2.78% annually and the overall age standardized mortality rate of pancreatic cancer increased by 2.24% annually. The age standardized morbidity of pancreatic cancer in rural men changed more rapidly, with an average annual increase of 3.74%, and the age standardized mortality rate of pancreatic cancer in urban men changed more rapidly, with an average annual increase of 3.57%. The age effect on the morbidity and mortality of pancreatic cancer increased with age, and the effect was most obvious in age group 70-80 years, the period effect increased over time and the cohort effect decreased with year, but rebound or fluctuation was observed after 1976. Conclusions: The morbidity rate and mortality rate of pancreatic cancer in China increased slightly in past decades. Strategies on effective prevention and control of pancreatic cancer should be developed in the future.

Abstract
Background Topical moisturizing products are widely used to alleviate the problems associated with xerotic skin. Their use affects many properties of the stratum corneum (SC) in a complex and interrelated manner. The range of measurement techniques available to the researcher has increased in recent years. However, few studies have looked for correlations between the different techniques for assessing how aspects of xerotic skin change over time as a result of topical moisturizer usage. Objectives A 3‐week in vivo study using an oil‐in‐water based moisturizing product and an untreated site was conducted to determine the clinical significance of and any correlations between a range of different approaches for the measurement of skin lipid content and also skin hydration and visual grading of dry skin. Methods A range of traditional and more recently developed skin measurement techniques have been used to examine a variety of SC properties in normal and xerotic skin during topical moisturizer usage. Results In vivo confocal Raman spectroscopy and analysis of SC lipids from tape strips both showed an increase in SC lipid level and organization after 3 weeks of moisturizer usage on xerotic skin. Hydration, measured both optically and electrically, also increased and skin barrier function improved, with strong correlations between the different measures of dryness being observed. Conclusions Strong correlations were observed between the skin measurements for lipid assessment and skin hydration with regard to the assessment of xerotic skin, providing valuable new information for future in vivo clinical research into dry and atopic skin. Abstract
Oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) plays an important role in dictating the performance of various electrochemical energy technologies. As platinum nanoparticles have served as the catalysts of choice towards ORR, minimizing the cost of the catalysts by diminishing the platinum nanoparticle size has become a critical route to advancing the technological development. Herein, first-principle calculations show that carbon-supported Pt9 clusters represent the threshold domain size, and the ORR activity can be significantly improved by doping of adjacent cobalt atoms. This is confirmed experimentally, where platinum and cobalt are dispersed in nitrogen-doped carbon nanowires in varied forms, single atoms, few-atom clusters, and nanoparticles, depending on the initial feeds. The sample consisting primarily of Pt2~7 clusters doped with atomic Co species exhibits the best mass activity among the series, with a current density of 4.16 A mgPt -1 at +0.85 V vs. RHE that is almost 50 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C.

Abstract
Objective: To study the expression and clinical significance of calcineurin B homologous protein 2 (CHP2) in gastric cancer (GC) and its effect on malignant phenotype of GC cells. Methods: The protein expression of CHP2 in 297 GC tissue and 198 normal gastric tissue samples were detected by immunohistochemistry. The relationship between the expression of CHP2 and clinicopathologic parameters of GC were analyzed. CHP2-overexpression plasmids and CHP2-interference plasmids were transfected into GC cell lines respectively. Wound healing assay and Transwell experiment was used to detect the invasion and migration ability of GC cells, and cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) method was used to detect the proliferation ability of GC cells. Results: The positive expression rate of CHP2 in GC was 68.7% (204/297), which was higher in benign margin (34.1%) (31/91), chronic gastritis (59.1%) (13/22), intestinal metaplasia (34.2%) (13/38), low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (40.0%) (12/30) and high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (41.2%)(7/17). The positive expression of CHP2 was correlated with tumor, node and metastasis (TNM) stage, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (all P<0.05), but not with gender, age, Laurén classification, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) levels, depth of invasion, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level and CEA 19-9 level (all P>0.05). The results of multivariate analysis showed that high expression of CHP2 and TNM stage were both independent parameters for predicting GC patient prognosis (both P<0.05). Interference of CHP2 expression in HGC-27 cells suppressed proliferation and migration significantly (P<0.05). However, over-expression CHP2 in AGS cells promoted proliferation, and migration significantly (P<0.05). Conclusion: CHP2 plays an important role in the development of GC, which is expected to be a molecular marker for patient prognosis and a potential target of targeted therapy for GC patients.
