Abstract
During the early weeks of the 2015 Australian influenza season, influenza B accounted for 67% (821/1,234) of all positive influenza tests in New South Wales. Of 81 successive influenza B viruses characterised, 33 (41%) were from children aged < 16 years; 23/81 (28%) belonged to the B/Victoria lineage. This lineage is not contained in the southern hemisphere's 2015 trivalent influenza vaccine. The significant B/Victoria lineage activity in the southern hemisphere suggests that the quadrivalent vaccine should be considered for the northern hemisphere.

Abstract
The year 2011 marked the 10-year milestone of early intervention for psychosis in Hong Kong. Since 2001, the landscape of early psychosis services has changed markedly in Hong Kong. Substantial progress has been made in the areas of early intervention service implementation, knowledge generation, and public awareness promotion. Favourable outcomes attributable to the early intervention service are supported by solid evidence from local clinical research studies; early intervention service users showed improved functioning, ameliorated symptoms, and decreased hospitalisation and suicide rates. Continued development of early intervention in Hong Kong over the decade includes the introduction and maturation of several key platforms, such as the Hospital Authority Early Assessment Service for Young People with Psychosis programme, the Psychosis Studies and Intervention Unit by the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Early Psychosis Intervention Society, the Jockey Club Early Psychosis Project, and the postgraduate Psychological Medicine (Psychosis Studies) programme. In this paper, we reviewed some of the major milestones in local service development with reference to features of the Hong Kong mental health system. We describe chronologically the implementation and consolidation of public early intervention services as well as recent progresses in public awareness work that are tied in with knowledge generation and transfer, and outline the prospects for early intervention in the next decade and those that follow.

Abstract
AIM The aim of this study is to investigate the reliability, sensitivity and responsiveness of the Infant Behavioral Assessment (IBA) to evaluate neurobehavioural organization in very preterm infants. METHODS Videotaped assessments of very preterm infants participating in a recent trial served to evaluate a standardized IBA observation. Inter-rater reliability was based on 40 videos scored by two independent observers, using percentage agreement and weighted Kappa's. Sensitivity was evaluated by comparing the IBA results of 169 infants at 35-38 weeks postmenstrual age, dichotomized according to two developmental risk factors. For responsiveness, the effect size (ES) was calculated between 0 and 6 months corrected age in all intervention and control infants and in subgroups of high-risk intervention and control infants with oxygen dependency ≥28 days. RESULTS Inter-rater agreement was 93% in the total assessment; Kappa agreement was moderate to good in the behavioural categories. Significant differences were found between groups with or without risk factors. Larger differences between ESs in the randomized groups with oxygen dependency ≥28 days than in the total randomized groups reflect the responsiveness of the IBA. CONCLUSION In this study, we found satisfactory to good clinimetric characteristics of the IBA in very preterm born infants.

Abstract
The effects of the rolling-circle and theta modes of replication on the maintenance of recombinant plasmids in Lactococcus lactis were studied. Heterologous Escherichia coli or bacteriophage lambda DNA fragments of various sizes were inserted into vectors based on either the rolling-circle-type plasmid pWV01 or the theta-type plasmid pAMbeta1. All pAMbeta1 derivatives were stably maintained. pWV01 derivatives, however, showed size-dependent segregational instability, in particular when large DNA fragments were inserted. All recombinant pWV01 derivatives generated high-molecular-weight plasmid multimers (HMW) in amounts that were positively correlated with plasmid size and inversely correlated with the copy numbers of the monomeric plasmid forms. Formation of HMW or reductions in copy numbers were not observed with pAMbeta1 derivatives. The results indicate that HMW formation and/or reduction in plasmid copy numbers is an important factor in the maintenance of pWV01 derivatives. It is concluded that theta-type plasmids are superior to rolling-circle-type plasmids for cloning in lactococci.
