Catalogue of the genus Givarbela Clench, 1957 (Lepidoptera: Cossidae: Hypoptinae) with description of one new species from Paraguay

The aticle gives a description of a new species, Givarbela dyari Yakovlev, Naydenov et Penco sp. n. from Paraguay, with a detailed diagnosis. G. decolorata Penco, Yakovlev, Naydenov & Witt, 2019 is reported for the first time for the fauna of Brazil and Paraguay. An illustrated catalog of the genus Givarbela Clench, 1957 (Lepidoptera: Cossidae: Hypoptinae) is presented. The distributional map of the species of the genus is given.

The article gives a redescription and revision of the genus Hypopta Hübner, 1818 typical for the subfamily Hypoptinae Neumoegen & Dyar, 1894 (Lepidoptera: Cossidae). A new species, Hypopta guarani Penco, Yakovlev & Naydenov sp. nov., is described. Two new combinations, Hypopta invetita (Dognin, 1923) comb. nov. and Hypopta watsoni (Schaus, 1901) comb. nov., are established.

Revision of the family Metarbelidae (Lepidoptera) of the Oriental Region. VII. Genus Aukorbela Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, gen. nov. from Central Vietnam

In the fourth part of the revision on the Asian Metarbelidae we describe the new genus Aukorbela Yakovlev & Zolotuhin gen. nov. (type species, by original designation: Aukorbela golovizini Yakovlev & Zolotuhin spec. nov.). The new genus has several important diagnostic morphological characters: the uncus is short, blunt and wide, slightly extended apically, with a caudal triangular process; the gnathos arms are very thick, short, sclerotized, in the proximal third of the gnathos arms there are robust wide plates with ribbed surfaces.

A new species of Typhonoya Prozorov (Lepidoptera, Lasiocampidae, Lasiocampinae, Gastropachini) from the moist broadleaf forest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The second species of the genus Typhonoya Prozorov 2011T. kravchenkoi Prozorov, Mller Zolotuhin sp. n. from the Democratic Republic of the Congo is described. A previously monotypic genus becomes bitypic. One paratype specimen was collected in the buffer zone of the southern part of the Salonga National Park during a one year-long stationary expedition (June 2017June 2018). Spread imagoes, heads, legs, venations and genitalia of both species are figured and compared. Additional notes on the genus description and previously known species are added.

A world catalogue of Xyleutes Hbner, 1820 (Lepidoptera: Cossidae: Zeuzerinae) with description of a new species from the Western Ghats of India

A new species of carpenter moth Xyleutes ramamurthyi Yakovlev Sankararaman, sp. nov. (Lepidoptera, Cossidae, Zeuzerinae) is described as new to science from the Western Ghats of south India. The identification key and species catalog of the genus is provided. In this study, we illustrated with images of all the species of the genus and morphological structures of the new species. The photos of biotopes and the map of new species distribution are provided.

In the sixth part of the revision of the Asian Metarbelidae we describe a new monotypic genus, Tearbela Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, gen. nov. (type species, by original designation: Arbela theivora Hampson, 1910). Tearbela theivora (Hampson, 1910) comb. nov. and Marcopoloia dea (Swinhoe, 1890) comb. nov. are established and redescribed.

Vietnam, Gia Lai Prov., Kon Ka Kinh NP), Marcopoloia nangmai Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 20 km N of Bo Luang), Marcopoloia siniaevi Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Mynmar (Burma), 40 km N Myitkyina, Chanc Kand village), and Marcopoloia thaica Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 30 km E of Pua) are described. A new synonym is established: Arbela discipuncta Wileman, 1915, syn. nov. = Arbela baibarana Matsumura, 1927.

In the fourth part of the revision on the Asian Metarbelidae we describe the new genus Tagoria Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, gen. nov. (type species, by original designation: Arbela watsoni Hampson, 1900). The male and female of Tagoria watsoni (Hampson, 1900) comb. nov. are redescribed, the new species Tagoria dierli Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Nepal, Rapti Tal, Monahari Khola, Belwa) is described.

In the third part of the revision of the family Metarbelidae (Lepidoptera) of South-Eastern Asia, we provide a revision of the genus Stueningeria Lehmann, 2019 with description of six new species: Stueningeria htetae sp. nov. (Type locality: Mynmar, 21 km E Putao), Stueningeria csovarii sp. nov. (Type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 15 km N of Bo Luang), Stueningeria loeffleri sp. nov. (Type locality: Thailand, Sakhon Nakhon Prov., Phu Pan NP), Stueningeria ihlei sp. nov. (Type locality: Vietnam (C.), Prov. Thua-Thien-Hue, Kreis A Luoi, Gemeinde A Rong, Passastrasse ca. 30 km S A Luoi.), Stueningeria murzini sp. nov. (Type locality: China, SW Yunnan, Xishuanbanna, Guanping env., 60 km N Jinghong), and Stueningeria pinratanai sp. nov. (Type locality: NW Thailand, Chiangmai, Doi Pui Forest Res. Stat.)  Two new combinations are established: Stueningeria campbelli (Hampson, 1910) comb. nov. and Stueningeria phaga (Swinhoe, 1894) comb. nov. Both species are redescribed. The type species of the genus Stueningeria nepalensis Lehmann, 2019 is reported for the first time for the fauna of India (Uttarakhand). We also give for the first time the description of female genitalia of the genus Stueningeria. The genus distribution map is provided.

Redescription and review of the Neotropical genus Carohamilia Dyar, 1940 (Lepidoptera: Cossidae: Zeuzerinae)

Based on the study of type specimens, we provide a redescription of the little known tropical genus of Cossidae (Lepidoptera), Carohamilia Dyar, 1940 (type species - Carohamilia ophelia (Schaus, 1921)). We establish the new combinations: Carohamilia masoni (Schaus, 1894), comb. n., Carohamilia terrafirma (Schaus, 1911), comb. n., Carohamilia poam (Dyar, 1918), comb. n., Schreiteriana lineaeplena (Dognin, 1911), comb. n., and a new synonym: Schreiteriana lineaeplena (Dognin, 1911) = Schreiteriana urcuchillay Yakovlev, Penco and Witt, 2017, syn. n.

Revision of the family Metarbelidae (Lepidoptera) of the Oriental Region. II. Two monotypic genera – Ghatarbela gen. nov. and Micrarbela gen. nov. – from the Western Ghats and Sri Lanka biodiversity hotspot

Two new genera:  Ghatarbela gen. nov. (type species: Ghatarbela bifidunca sp. nov.) and Micrarbela gen. nov. (type species: Arbela minima Hampson, 1910) are established in the second part of the revision of the Metarbelidae (Lepidoptera) of the Oriental Region. A new species Ghatarbela bifidunca sp. nov. (type locality: S. India, Kerala, 7 km N Munnar, Eravikulam Nat. Park) is described, and a new combination Micrarbela minima (Hampson, 1910), comb. nov. is established.
