Abstract
Objective: To investigate the significance of plasma pentraxin 3 (PTX3) in patients with secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (sHLH). Methods: Plasma PTX3 levels were tested by ELISA in 48 newly diagnosed sHLH patients, 18 healthy volunteers and 9 lymphoma controls in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2017 to July 2019. Clinical parameters were collected, and the correlations with PTX3 levels were analyzed. Results: PTX3 level in newly diagnosed group was significantly higher than that of healthy control group [16.29(1.17-66.00) vs. 0.76(0.01-7.86) μg/L, P<0.01]. Patients with lymphoma-associated HLH(LHLH) had higher plasma level of PTX3 than Fhose with infection-associated HLH (IHLH) [24.29(3.36-66.00) vs. 9.56(1.17-36.50)μg/L, P<0.05]. Plasma PTX3 levels in 48 sHLH patients were positively correlated with serum ferritin (P<0.05). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve for plasma PTX3 levels of sHLH and healthy controls produced a cutoff value at 3.9 μg/L, with its 86.7% sensitivity and 94.4% specificity. And ROC analysis showed that PTX3 17.5 μg/L was the critical value for diagnosis of LHLH from non-LHLH group, that the sensitivity and specificity were 63.0% and 76.2% respectively. The 1-year overall survival (OS) rate in patients with PTX3≥17.5 μg/L was significantly lower in those with PTX3<17.5 μg/L (18.5% vs. 75.8%, P<0.01). Conclusion: These results indicate the potential of PTX3 as a biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis in patients with sHLH.

Abstract
The Kibble-Zurek mechanism provides a unified theory to describe the universal scaling laws in the dynamics when a system is driven through a second-order quantum phase transition. However, for first-order quantum phase transitions, the Kibble-Zurek mechanism is usually not applicable. Here, we experimentally demonstrate and theoretically analyze a power-law scaling in the dynamics of a spin-1 condensate across a first-order quantum phase transition when a system is slowly driven from a polar phase to an antiferromagnetic phase. We show that this power-law scaling can be described by a generalized Kibble-Zurek mechanism. Furthermore, by experimentally measuring the spin population, we show the power-law scaling of the temporal onset of spin excitations with respect to the quench rate, which agrees well with our numerical simulation results. Our results open the door for further exploring the generalized Kibble-Zurek mechanism to understand the dynamics across first-order quantum phase transitions.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the influence of the prevalence and co-prevalence of risk factors for metabolic syndrome on the scores of different levels of metabolic syndrome in people receiving physical examination in Urumqi. Methods: Using the 2017 Xinjiang Health Examination Database, a total of 175 927 people from 7 districts and 1 county in Urumqi were selected as subjects. Face-to-face survey and body measurements were used to collect cardiovascular risk factors and metabolic syndrome scores. Metabolic syndrome scores were used. For the 0-5 points at 6 levels, χ(2), χ(2) trend test, correlation analysis of ordered variable Kendall's tau-b, and logistic regression analysis of ordered results were used to analyze the influence of prevalence and co-prevalence of behavioral risk factors on the MS scores. Results: The percentages of 6 metabolic syndrome scores in the sample population were 23.82%, 27.87%, 22.41%, 16.03%, 8.02%, and 1.85%, respectively. The scores of metabolic syndrome were different in different age groups, ethnic groups, groups with different drinking rates, and groups with different dietary types, with the differences all significant (P<0.05).The MS score in men increased with the increase of oil/salt rate and excessive drinking rate (P<0.01). The score in women increased with the increase of the current smoking rate, oil/salt rate, and increased with the decrease of physical activity (P≤0.01). There was no significant difference in the distribution of regular drinking rates between different score groups (P>0.05). The scores of metabolic syndrome increased with the increase of risk factors (P<0.05). Ordered results logistic analysis found that in the men with ≥3 risk factors and the metabolic syndrome score was 1.15 (1.06-1.26) times higher than that in the men without risk factor, as well as in women with 2 risk factors and≥3 risk factors. The metabolic syndrome scores were 1.38 (1.22-1.55), 2.02 (1.53-2.66) times higher than those in the women without risk factors. Conclusions: The physical examination group in Urumqi, the more the metabolic syndrome disease behavior risk factors clustered, the higher the metabolic syndrome score was. Therefore, comprehensive intervention measures should be taken to control the different forms of metabolic syndrome to prevent the occurrence and progress of the disease.

Abstract
Dynamical quantum phase transitions are closely related to equilibrium quantum phase transitions for ground states. Here, we report an experimental observation of a dynamical quantum phase transition in a spinor condensate with correspondence in an excited state phase diagram, instead of the ground state one. We observe that the quench dynamics exhibits a nonanalytical change with respect to a parameter in the final Hamiltonian in the absence of a corresponding phase transition for the ground state there. We make a connection between this singular point and a phase transition point for the highest energy level in a subspace with zero spin magnetization of a Hamiltonian. We further show the existence of dynamical phase transitions for finite magnetization corresponding to the phase transition of the highest energy level in the subspace with the same magnetization. Our results open a door for using dynamical phase transitions as a tool to probe physics at higher energy eigenlevels of many-body Hamiltonians.

Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of low concentration paraquat (PQ) on activation and phenotypic M1/M2 polarization of mouse microglia cells (BV2) . Methods: BV2 cells were used as model, and cultured in vitro were exposed to paraquat at designed concentrations of 0, 0.015, 0.03, 0.06, 0.12, 0.24, 0.48 μmol/L and 0.05 μmol/L 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP(+)) for 24 h, and cell viability was determined by CCK8 assay. After induced by 0, 0.015, 0.03, 0.06, 0.12 μmol/L PQ and 0.05 μmol/L MPP(+) for 24 h, the contents of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) , interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-1β in cell culture supernatant were determined by enzyme-linked inmunosorbent assay (ELISA) . Cell migration ability was determined by transwell. Immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry were used to determine the phagocytic capacity of cells. Designed concentrations of 0, 0.03, 0.06, 0.12 μmol/L PQ and 0.05 μmol/L MPP(+) for 24 h, the protein expressions of M1 markers of BV2 (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, Nitric oxide synthase-iNOS, CD86) and M2 markers of BV2 (Arginase type-1 Arg-1 and Mannose recepteor-CD206) were determined by Western Blot after PQ expourse (0, 0.03, 0.06, 0.12 μmol/L) and 0.05 μmol/L MPP(+) induction. Results: Compared with 0 μmol/L PQ group, proliferation activity of BV2 cells was significantly increased by 0.03~0.12 μmol/L PQ while inhibited by 0.48 μmol/L PQ (P<0.05) . The cell proliferation activity of cells treated with 0.03 μmol/L PQ was significantly increased in 24 hours (P<0.05) . ELISA showed that TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β contents in the cell supernatant of the PQ group were significantly higher than those of 0 μmol/L PQ group, especially in 0.03 and 0.06 μmol/L PQ exposed group (P<0.05) . The results of IF and flow cytometry showed that phagocytic capacity of 0.015, 0.03 and 0.06 μmol/L PQ group was significantly enhanced compared with 0 μmol/L PQ group (P<0.05) . Transwell showed that the cell invasion ability of 0.03, 0.06, 0.12 μmol/L PQ was significantly higher than that of 0 μmol/L PQ group (P<0.05) . Western blot showed that compared with 0 μmol/L PQ group, the expression levels of M1 markers TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, iNOS and CD86 were significantly increased in 0.03 and 0.06 μmol/L PQ exposed group, while the expression levels of M2 markers Arg-1 and CD206 protein were decreased in 0.06 and 0.12 μmol/L PQ exposed group (P<0.05) . Conclusion: Low concentration PQ can abnormally activate BV2 cell, making the transformation of BV2 cell into pro-inflammatory M1 type and inhibiting its transformation into anti-inflammatory M2 type.

Abstract
Abstract Objective To study the differential metabolites of serum in rats dying from untypical electric injury by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (1 NMR)-based metabolomics methods, in order to provide clues for identification of death from antemortem untypical electric injury and instant postmortem electric injury. Methods Models of rats dying from untypical electric injury, instant postmortem electric injury, mechanical asphyxia, mechanical injury, and high temperature injury were established. The rats in control group were executed without any treatment. The serums of rats from every group were detected by 1H NMR-based metabolomics technology to screen differential metabolites. Results The rats dying from untypical electric injury group was compared with those from mechanical asphyxia group, mechanical injury group, high temperature injury group, and control group, respectively. Four chemical shift points with diagnostic value, and their corresponding metabolites were screened. These chemical shift points contained many small molecules, such as alcohols, phenols, sugars, amino acids, etc. The death from untypical electric injury group was compared with those from instant postmortem electric injury group and control group, and then eight chemical shift points with diagnostic value and their corresponding metabolites were screened. These chemical shift points contained small molecules, such as sugars, amino acids, esters, nucleic acids, etc. Conclusion The 1H NMR-based metabolomics technology can identify differential metabolites of serum in rats dying from untypical electric injury, therefore it may provide a basis for the diagnosis of death from untypical electric injury and the identification of antemortem electric injury and instant postmortem electric injury.

Abstract
AIM The aim of this study was to screen potential lotus plant endophytic bacterial isolate for effective inhibition against lotus rot causing fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum. METHODS AND RESULTS In this study, endophytic bacteria were isolated from lotus tissues and tested for antagonistic activities against the pathogenic fungus F. oxysporum. Among the putative endophytic Bacillus strains identified, suspensions of the strain B-36 showed the highest inhibition rate against F. oxysporum growth. Pot assays indicated that B-36 was effective in controlling F. oxysporum-inducing lotus rot. However, the control efficiency varied with the inoculation method and concentration, where injection of 800 μl B-36 suspension per plant (2 × 108 CFU per ml) into stems showed the highest control efficiencies of 77·1 and 60·0% for pre-inoculation and post-inoculation. In addition, the colonizing population levels (CPLs) of B-36 on lotus also varied with the inoculation method and concentration, with the highest CPLs, that is, 3·05 and 2·83 log(CFU per gram), being observed on lotus leaves and stems respectively for stem injection of 200 μl per plant. Moreover B-36 showed no noticeable effects on lotus seed germination rate or seedling growth. Finally, B-36 was characterized as Bacillus velezensis based on its morphology, Gram-positive characteristics, as well as its 16S rDNA and gyrB sequences. CONCLUSION The isolate B-36 can be applied as a biocontrol agent against F. oxysporum-inducing lotus rot. SIGNIFICANCE OF IMPACT OF THE STUDY The soil-borne fungus F. oxysporum causes lotus rot and severe yield loss, and currently available control methods are very limited. Here we identify a new promising biocontrol agent against lotus rot caused by F. oxysporum.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the association between corneal biomechanical parameters and visual field (VF) progression in normal tension glaucoma (NTG) using the Corvis-ST device, and to evaluate the ability of corneal biomechanical parameters to predict the VF progression. Methods: Corneal biomechanical parameters of newly diagnosed NTG patients were obtained using Corvis-ST in the baseline follow-up visit. The VF progression was defined as a 4-point increase in the Advanced Glaucoma Intervention Study (AGIS) score compared to the baseline in three consecutive follow-up visits (per 3-6 months). Corneal biomechanical parameters were compared between progressive and nonprogressive VF loss eyes using the independent-sample t test and Mann-Whitney U test. Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between the corneal biomechanical parameters and the VF progression. Receiver operating characteristic curves were studied for the parameters and the sensitivity and specificity for distinguishing between progressive and nonprogressive glaucomatous eyes. The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curves (AUC) were also evaluated. Results: Sixty patients with NTG were enrolled in this study. Among them, 12 were lost to follow-up. A total of 48 patients completed all follow-up visits on schedule. Eleven of them were excluded due to one or more uncontrolled intraocular pressure (IOP) during the follow-up (less than 30% IOP reduction from the baseline). Thirty-seven eyes of 37 diagnosed NTG patients were enrolled. Ten eyes reached a progression endpoint. There was no significant difference in age, central corneal thickness, axial length, baseline IOP or baseline VF between the two groups. There was significant difference in Time A1 [(7.10±0.17) ms vs. (7.37±0.28) ms, t=-3.357, P=0.002], Length A1 [1.74(1.61, 1.77) mm vs. 1.78(1.77, 1.79) mm, Z=-3.036, P=0.002], Velocity A1 [0.16(0.14, 0.16) m/s vs. 0.15(0.14, 0.15) m/s, Z=-2.627, P=0.009] and DefAmpl HC [(1.22±0.13) mm vs. (1.12±0.11) mm, t=2.601, P=0.013] between progressive and nonprogressive glaucomatous eyes. Correlation analysis showed that Time A1, Length A1, Velocity A1 and DefAmpl HC were correlated with VF progression (r=-0.521, -0.463, 0.401, 0.349, P<0.05) . Time A1 demonstrated the highest AUC (0.817, P=0.001), followed by Length A1 (0.780, P=0.003), Velocity A1 (0.734, P=0.012) and DefAmpl HC (0.713, P=0.022). The cut-off set of Time A1 was 7.2 ms, the sensitivity was 80.0%, and the specificity was 82.8%. Conclusions: There were differences in corneal biomechanical parameters between eyes with progressive and nonprogressive VF loss in patients with NTG. There were lower Time A1 and Length A1 values and higher Velocity A1 and DefAmpl HC values in progressive glaucomatous eyes. This indicates a quicker response to reach first degree applanation and a larger degree of corneal deformability in progressive eyes. It is predicted that the easier deforming of the cornea, the smaller tolerance of the sclera and lamina cribros on IOP, making the optic disc more vulnerably. This may be one of the causes of glaucomatous optic nerve damage. Time A1 was the best parameter to predict the progression of VF among the corneal biomechanical parameters obtained by Corvis-ST. Abstract
Objective: To study the clinical effect of nano-fat mixed granule fat transplantation in the treatment of cicatricial facial depression and atrophy, and to explore the related experimental mechanism. Methods: (1) From January 2012 to April 2018, 105 patients conforming to the inclusion criteria, with cicatricial facial depression and atrophy deformity who needed facial fat transplantation, were admitted to our unit. Their medical records were analyzed retrospectively. According to the patients' wishes, 54 patients (12 males and 42 females) aged 10-59 years received traditional transplantation of pure autologous granule fat collected from abdomen/thigh and were included in simple transplantation group, while the other 51 patients (14 males and 37 females) aged 7-63 years received transplantation of autologous nano-fat mixed granule fat collected from abdomen/thigh and were included in mixed transplantation group. The treatment satisfaction of patients 3 and 6 months after operation was assessed by the facial fullness, symmetry, scar, and complications using self-made scales and photo data before and after operation. Six months after operation, the patients were assessed whether they needed to undergo a second operation, and the rate of second operation was calculated. During the second operation, the fat of patients transplanted in the first operation was collected, and the morphology of adipocytes and microangiogenesis was observed under a scanning electron microscope. (2) Adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) were isolated and cultured from abdominal fat of a 4-week-old male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rat. The 5th passage of cells were selected to observe cell morphology after cultured for 14 days, observe expression of vimentin and cytokeratin-18 by immunofluorescence method, identify osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation, and detect rates of CD29 and CD44 positive cells by flow cytometer (n=3). Eighteen 4-week-old male SD rats were divided into ADSCs transplantation group, simple scar group, and blank control group according to the random number table, with 6 rats in each group. Rats in ADSCs transplantation group and simple scar group were subcutaneously injected with 1 mL bleomycin which was dissolved in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with a mass concentration of 1 mg/mL at the back to establish scar models. After 3 hours, rats in ADSCs transplantation group were injected with 1×10(6) ADSCs suspended in 0.1 mL PBS at the same injection site, while rats in simple scar group were injected with 0.1 mL PBS. Rats in blank control group were injected with the same doses of PBS in the same place at the same two time points mentioned above. After continuous injection for 28 days in each group, the full-thickness skin tissue of the injected area of all rats was collected to observe the collagen fibers by Masson staining and expressions of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and transforming growth factor β(1) (TGF-β(1)) by immunohistochemistry, and the positive cells were counted. Data were processed with Mann-Whitney U test, χ(2) test, one-way analysis of variance, and least significant difference test. Results: (1) Compared with the preoperative condition, the facial fullness and symmetry of patients in simple transplantation group were better in 3 months after operation, with scar color closer to the surrounding skin, and the filling volume of patients in this group decreased in 6 months after operation as compared with that in 3 months after operation. In mixed transplantation group, the facial fullness and symmetry of patients were better in 3 and 6 months after operation as compared with the preoperative condition, with scar color and texture closer to the surrounding skin, and the filling volume in 6 months after operation was not obviously reduced as compared with that in 3 months after operation. Fat liquefaction and subcutaneous nodule formation occurred respectively in 1 patient in simple transplantation group within 3 months after operation. The treatment satisfaction of patients in mixed transplantation group was significantly higher than that in simple transplantation group in 3 and 6 months after operation (Z=-2.566, -3.084, P<0.05 or P<0.01). Six months after operation, the second operation rate of patients in mixed transplantation group was 7.84% (4/51), which was significantly lower than 22.22% (12/54) in simple transplantation group (χ(2)=4.199, P<0.05). At the second operation, compared with those of simple transplantation group, the cells of fat transplanted in the first operation of patients in mixed transplantation group were more plump, without collapse or dryness, and the cells were closely arranged, with smaller gap; the tubular and the cord-like microvascular structure on the cell surface were more abundant, and the cell gap was full of network-like microvascular structure that grew into the adipose tissue. (2) The fifth passage of cells isolated and cultured from rat fat grew adherently to the wall, with long fusiform or spindle shape, showing shoal-of-fish-like growth. Vimentin and cytokeratin-18 were highly expressed in the cells. Cells showed osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation ability by induction. The positive expression rates of CD29 and CD44 were higher than 90.00%. The cells were identified as ADSCs. After 28 days of injection, the collagen fibers in the dermis of skin tissue at the injection area of rats in blank control group were finely arranged. In simple scar group, a large amount of collagen was deposited in the dermis of skin tissue at the injection area of rats, the fiber bundles were thick and loosely unevenly arranged, and a large number of inflammatory infiltration and scattered muscle fibers were observed. In ADSCs transplantation group, the collagen fibers in the dermis of skin tissue at the injection area of rats were thicker than those of blank control group, with still neat arrangement, and a small amount of scattered muscle fiber and inflammatory infiltration was observed. After 28 days of injection, the expression of α-SMA in ADSCs transplantation group was mainly in microvessels in the dermis of skin tissue at the injected area of rats, and the number of α-SMA and TGF-β(1) positive cells was (49±12) and (63±10) cells per 20-fold field of view, respectively, which was similar to (35±16) and (44±17) cells per 20-fold field of view of blank control group (P>0.05), all significantly less than (135±13) and (121±23) cells per 20-fold field of view of simple scar group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Compared with those of autologous simple granule fat transplantation, autologous nano-fat mixed granule fat transplantation has better filling fullness in the treatment of patients with scar facial depression and atrophy. The filling effect lasts longer, and the improvement of scar texture is more obvious. As showed in the rat scar model experiment, the mechanism may be that ADSCs inhibit the expressions of α-SMA and TGF-β(1), thus inhibiting the formation of scar.

Abstract
Objective: To study the prevalence of rush poppers use among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Urumqi and to analyze the mediating effect of high-risk sexual behavior between the use of rush poppers and human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Methods: From January to June 2018, 651 MSM were recruited through network and publicity. Data was collected by using online questionnaire and anal swab were collected from them for HPV genotyping. According to Baron and Kenny's criterion, multivariate logistic regression models was used to analyze the mediation effect of high-risks sexual behaviors (multiple sexual partners, anal intercourse condom use) between rush poppers use and HPV infection. Results: A total of 651 subjects were (32.0±8.0) years old, and 174 subjects (26.7%) had ever used rush poppers in the past 6 months, while 350 subjects (46.9%) had more than 2 sexual partners and 188 subjects (28.9%) did not use anal condom. After adjusting age and marital status, rush poppers use was associated with HPV infection (OR (95%CI) was 2.34 (1.63-3.36), P<0.05), and sexual partners in the past 6 months (OR (95%CI) was 2.72 (1.89-3.93), P<0.05).After adjustment for age, marital status, sexual partners in the past 6 months, and anal condom use, rush poppers use was still associated with HPV infection (OR (95%CI) was 2.21 (1.53-3.19), P<0.05).After adjustment and adjustment of age, marital status, rush poppers use and anal sex condom use, the number of sexual partners at nearly 6 months was still associated with HPV infection (OR (95%CI) was 1.46 (1.05-2.04), P<0.05). Conclusion: Sexual partners in the past 6 months have a mediation effect between rush poppers use and HPV infection in Urumqi. For the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, we should focus on rush poppers use.

Abstract
Craniofacial bones, separate from the appendicular skeleton, bear a significant amount of strain and stress generated from mastication-related muscles. Current research on the regeneration of craniofacial bone focuses on the reestablishment of an elaborate vascular network. In this review, current challenges and efforts particularly in advances of scaffold properties and techniques for vascularization remodeling in craniofacial bone tissue engineering will be discussed. A microenvironment of ischemia and hypoxia in the biomaterial core drives propagation and reorganization of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) to assemble into a primitive microvascular framework. Co-culture strategies and delivery of vasculogenic molecules enhance EPCs' differentiation and stimulate the host regenerative response to promote vessel sprouting and strength. To optimize structural and vascular integration, well-designed microstructures of scaffolds are biologically considered. Proper porous structures, matrix stiffness, and surface morphology of scaffolds have a profound influence on cell behaviors and thus affect revascularization. In addition, advanced techniques facilitating angiogenesis and vaculogenesis have also been discussed. Oxygen delivery biomaterials, scaffold-free cell sheet techniques, and arteriovenous loop-induced axial vascularization strategies bring us new understanding and powerful strategies to manage revascularization of large craniofacial bone defects. Although promising histological results have been achieved, the efficient perfusion and functionalization of newly formed vessels are still challenging.

Abstract
Objective: To elucidate the impact of over-expression of S100A7 on migration, invasion, proliferation, cell cycle, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in human cervical cancer HeLa and CaSki cells. Methods: (1) Immunohistochemistry of SP was used to examine the expression of S100A7 in 40 cases of squamous cervical cancer tissues and 20 cases of normal cervical tissues. (2) The vectors of pLVX-IRES-Neo-S100A7 and pLVX-IRES-Neo were used to transfect human cervical cancer HeLa and CaSki cells, and the positive clones were screened and identified. Next, transwell migration assay, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and fluorescence activating cell sorter (FACS) were used to detect the effect of S100A7-overexpression on the migration, invasion, proliferation and cell cycle of cervical cancer cells. Furthermore, western blot was performed to observe the expression of epithelial marker (E-cadherin) and mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin, vimentin, and fibronectin) of EMT. Results: (1) S100A7 expression was significantly higher in cervical squamous cancer tissues (median 91.6) than that in normal cervical tissues (median 52.1; Z=-2.948, P=0.003) . (2) Stable S100A7-overexpressed cells were established using lentiviral-mediated gene delivery in HeLa and CaSki cells. S100A7 was detected by real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR, S100A7 mRNA of S100A7-overexpressed cells were 119±3 and 177±16, increased significantly compared with control groups of median (P<0.01) . Compared with the control cells, the number of S100A7-overexpressed HeLa and CaSki cells that passed the transwell membrane assay were increased significanatly (572±51 vs 337±25, P<0.01; 100±8 vs 41±4, P<0.01) .Matrigel invasion assay showed that the number of S100A7-overexpressed HeLa and CaSki cells that passed the transwell membrane were respectively 441±15 and 110±14, elevated significantly compared with control cells (156±21 and 59±7; P<0.05) . However, S100A7 overexpression didn't influence the proliferation and cell cycle progression of HeLa and CaSki cells (P>0.05) . Expression of E-cadherin was dramatically decreased, while N-cadherin, vimentin, and fibronectin increased in S100A7-overexpressed cells. Conclusion: S100A7 enhances the migration, invasion and EMT of HeLa cells and CaSki cells, and may be plays an important role in the development of cervical cancer.

Abstract
The entorhinal cortex (EC) is one of the most vulnerable brain regions that is attacked during the early stage of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Here, we report that the synaptic terminals of pyramidal neurons in the EC layer II (ECIIPN) directly innervate CA1 parvalbumin (PV) neurons (CA1PV) and are selectively degenerated in AD mice, which exhibit amyloid-β plaques similar to those observed in AD patients. A loss of ECIIPN-CA1PV synapses disables the excitatory and inhibitory balance in the CA1 circuit and impairs spatial learning and memory. Optogenetic activation of ECIIPN using a theta burst paradigm rescues ECIIPN-CA1PV synaptic defects and intercepts the decline in spatial learning and memory. These data reveal a novel mechanism of memory loss in AD mice via the selective degeneration of the ECIIPN-CA1PV pathway.

Abstract
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) is a key enzyme that generates NADPH to maintain reduced glutathione (GSH), which scavenges reactive oxygen species (ROS) to protect cancer cell from oxidative damage. In this study, we mainly investigate the potential roles of G6PD in colorectal cancer (CRC) development and chemoresistance. We discover that G6PD is overexpressed in CRC cells and patient specimens. High expression of G6PD predicts poor prognosis and correlated with poor outcome of oxaliplatin-based first-line chemotherapy in patients with CRC. Suppressing G6PD decreases NADPH production, lowers GSH levels, impairs the ability to scavenge ROS levels, and enhances oxaliplatin-induced apoptosis in CRC via ROS-mediated damage in vitro. In vivo experiments further shows that silencing G6PD with lentivirus or non-viral gene delivery vector enhances oxaliplatin anti-tumor effects in cell based xenografts and PDX models. In summary, our finding indicated that disrupting G6PD-mediated NADPH homeostasis enhances oxaliplatin-induced apoptosis in CRC through redox modulation. Thus, this study indicates that G6PD is a potential prognostic biomarker and a promising target for CRC therapy.

Abstract
Objective: To estimate the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms during pregnancy among women from six districts of China and to explore the determinants of anxiety and depression during pregnancy. Methods: A cross-sectional study of maternal health status was conducted using the probability proportionate to size sampling method among pregnant women from six counties/districts in six provinces of China (Hebei, Liaoning, Fujian, Hunan, Sichuan and Yunnan). A questionnaire was completed by each of the women included in the study from August to December 2014. Women were recruited from three medical and health institutions with the most obstetrics patients in each district. A total of 4 210 pregnant women were included in the investigation. The hospital anxiety and depression (HAD) scale was applied to measure the symptoms of anxiety and depression in the pregnant women. Trend chi square test was used to assess the differences of anxiety and depression symptom among three trimesters. The multivariate logistic regression model was used to investigate potential contributory factors. Results: The detection rates for anxiety symptoms and depression symptoms during pregnancy were 8.5% (357/4 210) and 12.5% (525/4 210), respectively. The prevalence of anxiety symptoms during the first, second and third trimesters were 7.9% (110/1 392), 8.8% (124/1 413) and 8.8% (123/1 405), respectively (χ2trend=0.89, P= 0.419). The prevalence of depression symptoms during the first, second and third trimesters were 14.0% (195/1 392), 12.6% (178/1 413) and 10.8% (152/1 405), respectively (χ2trend=6.52, P=0.011). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed an increased risk of anxiety and depression in women with an educational background of middle school rather than a college degree (OR=1.94, 95% CI: 1.44-2.63; OR=3.80, 95% CI: 2.45- 5.91). Furthermore, compared with planned pregnancies, women with unplanned pregnancies had a higher risk of anxiety and depression (OR=1.33, 95% CI: 1.06- 1.66; OR=1.35, 95% CI: 1.07- 1.71). Pregnant women who felt they lived in crowded residential conditions were at an increased risk of anxiety compared with those living in spacious residential environments (OR=1.82, 95% CI: 1.15- 2.87). Pregnant women with a household income of less than 10 000 yuan were at a higher risk of depression than living in a household with an income of ≥100 000 yuan (OR=1.91, 95% CI: 1.05-3.49). Similarly, multiparous women (≥2) were at higher risk of depression compared with nulliparous women (OR=1.88, 95% CI: 1.04- 3.41). Conclusion: The prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms during pregnancy appears to be associated with several demographic factors, along with a women's obstetrical history. Lower educational background, unplanned pregnancy, the feeling of living under crowded residential conditions were all found to be risk factors for anxiety during pregnancy. Similarly, lower educational background, unplanned pregnancy, a lower household income (<10 000) and a greater number of previous deliveries were all risk factors for depression during pregnancy.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the demographic characteristics, sexual behaviors and the factors associated with HIV infection in men who have sex with men and also with women (MSMW) in Urumqi. Methods: According to the "National AIDS Sentinel Surveillance Protocol" , the data of MSM's demographic characteristics, sex behavior histories and serological detection results were collected through Urumqi AIDS sentinel surveillance system during 2010-2014. In MSM, those also had heterosexual behaviors were considered as MSMW. Results: Of 2 073 MSM surveyed, 216 (10.4%) were MSMW, and 115 MSMW (53.2%) were aged 30>years. Compared with MSM, MSMW were more prone to have commercial homosexual behaviors (OR=2.09, 95%CI: 1.35-3.21), and the condom use rate at the latest homosex was low among them (OR=0.58, 95%CI: 0.40-0.85). The HIV infection rates in MSMW and MSM were 7.4% and 9.0%, respectively, the difference had no significance (χ2=0.604, P>0.05). Multivariate logistic analysis showed that among the MSMW the condom use at the latest homosex (OR=0.24,95% CI: 0.09-0.71), and the number of anal sex in the past week (OR=6.63, 95% CI: 1.47-29.90) were the factors associated with HIV infection, and in MSM, the factors associated with HIV infection were non-Han nationality (OR=6.40, 95% CI:1.62-25.36), local residence time (OR=7.47, 95% CI: 1.98-28.20), using no condoms or using condoms occasionally at commercial sex (OR=6.14,95% CI:1.93-19.52). Conclusion: The HIV infection status and associated factors varied between MSMW and MSM in Urumqi. Therefore, it is necessary to take targeted AIDS prevention measures among them.

Abstract
Renal fibrosis is the common final manifestation of chronic kidney diseases and usually results in end-stage renal failure. In this study, we evaluated the effect of fingolimod (FTY720), an analogue of sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P), as a treatment for the unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO)-induced renal fibrosis animal model. We treated mice with FTY720 at a dosage of 1 mg/kg/day by intragastric administration from day 1 until day 7. The control group received the same amount of saline. FTY720 reduced significantly the urine albumin/creatinine ratio (UACR) in treated UUO mice. FTY720 treatment also caused a significant decrease in interstitial expansion and collagen deposition in the kidney, accompanied by reduced mononuclear cell recruitment and inflammatory cytokine expression. In addition, the expression levels of the endothelial cell adhesion molecules P-selectin and vascular cell adhesion protein 1 (VCAM-1) were suppressed in the ligated kidney by FTY720 administration, suggesting reduced renal endothelial cell activation. Furthermore, in renal interstitial fibroblast normal rat kidney (NRK)-49F cells, FTY720 significantly affected transforming growth factor (TGF)-β-induced α-smooth muscle actin (SMA) expression and collagen synthesis by inhibiting both the Mothers against decapentaplegic homologue (Smad)2/3 and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B/glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (PI3K/AKT/GSK3β) signalling pathways. S1P1 knock-down by siRNA reversed this effect significantly in our fibroblast cell culture model. Therefore, FTY720 attenuates renal fibrosis via two different mechanisms: first, FTY720 suppresses the synthesis of extracellular matrix in interstitial fibroblasts by interfering with TGF-β signalling; and secondly, FTY720 affects endothelial cell activation and chemokine expression, thereby reducing immune cell recruitment into the kidney.

Abstract
PURPOSE We conduct this study to compare the efficacy and toxicity of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) concurrent weekly nedaplatin (NDP) versus IMRT alone in the stage III/IV non-surgical elderly patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). METHODS 117 patients were enrolled into our study. The patients were assigned into two different groups: radiotherapy (RT) group and chemoradiotherapy (CRT) group. Patients in RT group were treated with IMRT at a single daily dose of 2 Gy for 5 days per week, totally 52-66 Gy. The CRT group, IMRT concurrent weekly NDP at a dose of 25 mg/m2. RESULTS In CRT group, the median survival was 11.0 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 8.894-13.106 months) and in RT group, it was 7.0 months (95% CI 5.771-8.229 months). The 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, survival rates in the combined treatment arm were higher than the radiation therapy arm (46.8 vs 25.9%, 25.1 vs 11.8%, 14.7 vs 8.0%; p < 0.001). The Cox's multiple regression analysis showed that CRT had significantly better overall survival than RT (HR 0.523; 95.0% CI 0.338-0.807; p = 0.003). The objective response rate provided that 73.3% treated with CRT compared with 51.1% (p = 0.018) received RT alone. Of the hematologic toxicities, leukocytes (35.0 vs 0%; p < 0.001), neutrophils (33.3 vs 0%; p < 0.001) were significantly more common in the CRT group than the RT group. CONCLUSIONS We first discovered that NDP concurrent IMRT for treating stage III/IV non-surgical elderly patients with NSCLC was good curative effect of better objective response rate and well-tolerated. However, within the low number of patients, only stage IV gained a survival benefit.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect and possible mechanisms of intermittent alkaline on rat vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) calcification induced by high phosphorus. Methods: VSMCs were isolated from rat thoracic aorta and cultured in vitro. The fourth generation VSMCs were randomly divided into control group, high phosphorus+ pH7.4, high phosphorus+ pH7.5, high phosphorus+ pH7.6 and high phosphorus+ pH7.7 group with random number table. The control group was cultured in DMEM with 10% fetal bovine serum. Other groups were cultured in DMEM with 10 mmol/L β-glycerophosphate and alkalized by 7.4% NaHCO(3) to adjust the pH respectively. After the intervention of 4 hours, the control group was replaced with the normal medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum, the other 4 groups were replaced with high phosphorus based on the pH value of the culture medium, and then replaced the culture medium every other day. After 4 days intervention, the mRNA and protein expression of L type calcium channel β(3) subunit(LTCC β(3)) and Runt related transcription factor 2 (Runx2) were detected by RT-PCR and Western blot. After 4 days intervention, the level of VSMC calcium ion was detected by Fluo-3/AM. After 14 days intervention, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and the calcification was observed by measuring calcium content. Results: (1) Compared with control group, the gene and protein expressions of LTCC β(3) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group (0.49±0.03 vs. 0.23±0.02 and 0.45±0.03 vs. 0.26±0.02 respectively, all P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group, the mRNA(0.86±0.05) and protein(0.62±0.04) expressions of LTCC β(3) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group (P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group, the mRNA(0.99±0.05) and protein(0.80±0.03) expressions of LTCC β(3) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group (all P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group, the mRNA(1.16±0.05) and protein(0.93±0.03) expressions of LTCC β(3) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.7 group (all P<0.05). (2) Compared with control group, calcium ion influx were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group (124.61±6.06 vs. 75.68±7.82, P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group, calcium ion influx was higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group(210.85±9.75, P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group, calcium ion influx was higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group(298.44±11.42, P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group, calcium ion influx was higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.7 group(401.13±11.41, P<0.05). (3) Compared with control group, the mRNA and protein expressions of Runx2 and ALP were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group (0.60±0.04 vs. 0.34±0.03, 0.42±0.04 vs. 0.21±0.02, 67.2±4.3 vs. 23.2±2.3 respectively, all P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group, the mRNA(0.76±0.05) and protein(0.68±0.03) expressions of Runx2 and ALP(102.1±5.4) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group (all P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group, the mRNA(0.90±0.05) and protein(0.90±0.05) expressions of Runx2 and ALP(139.3±4.9) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group (all P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group, the mRNA(1.11±0.05) and protein(1.08±0.06) expressions of Runx2 and ALP(197.0±6.7) were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.7 group (all P<0.05). (4) Compared with control group, the calcium content were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group ((75.4±4.3)mg/g pro vs.(25.2±2.1)mg/g pro, P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.4 group, the calcium content were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group ((100.8±5.7) mg/g pro, P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.5 group, the calcium content were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group ((143.5±6.1) mg/g pro, P<0.05). Compared with high phosphorus+ pH7.6 group, the calcium content were higher in high phosphorus+ pH7.7 group ((205.1±8.2) mg/g pro, P<0.05). Conclusion: Intermittent alkaline stimulation can promote high phosphorus induced rat VSMCs calcification possibly through upregulating LTCC β(3) subunit gene and protein expression, increasing calcium ion influx and enhancing VSMCs phenotypic transformation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), or male pattern baldness (MPB), is the most common form of hair loss in males. A combination of genetic and androgen causes have been suggested as factors that contribute to the development of AGA. However, the specific molecular mechanisms that underly AGA remain largely unknown. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), a new class of regulatory non-coding RNAs that are longer than 200 nucleotides, have been shown to play important roles in a number of cellular processes, including transcription, chromosome remodelling and post-transcriptional processing. The dysregulation of lncRNAs is associated with many forms of diseases, but it remains unknown whether lncRNAs are associated with AGA. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to identify AGA-associated lncRNAs and predict the potential roles of these lncRNAs in AGA. METHODS A genomewide microarray was used to identify lncRNAs that are differentially expressed between AGA and adjacent normal tissues. Real-time qRT-PCR was used to validate the microarray data. RESULTS A large number of lncRNAs were differentially expressed (fold change >2.4) between AGA and adjacent normal tissues. Of these, 770 were upregulated and 1373 were downregulated. Moreover, pathway analysis revealed that 53 functional pathways were associated with the upregulated transcripts, while 11 pathways were associated with the downregulated transcripts. CONCLUSION To our knowledge, this is the first study to investigate AGA-associated lncRNAs. lncRNA profiles are altered in AGA, and these lncRNAs and their target genes may serve as novel candidates for preventing and treating AGA.

Abstract
Tomato mottle mosaic virus (ToMMV) was first identified in 2013 as a novel tobamovirus infecting tomatoes in Mexico. In just a few years, ToMMV has been identified in several countries around the world, including the United States. In the present study, we characterized the molecular, serological, and biological properties of ToMMV and developed a species-specific RT-PCR to detect three tomato-infecting tobamoviruses: Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), and ToMMV. Previously, ToMMV has been reported in Florida and New York. In this study, we made two new reports on the occurrences of ToMMV on tomatoes in California and South Carolina. Their complete genome sequences were obtained and their genetic relationships to other tobamoviruses evaluated. In host range studies, some differential responses in host plants were also identified between ToMMV and ToMV. To alleviate cross-serological reactivity among the tomato-infecting tobamoviruses, a new multiplex RT-PCR was developed to allow for species-specific detection and identification of TMV, ToMV, and ToMMV. In addition, we observed resistance breaking by ToMMV on selected tomato cultivars that were resistant to ToMV. This has caused serious concerns to tomato growers worldwide. In conclusion, the characterization in molecular and biological properties of ToMMV would provide us with fundamental knowledge to manage this emerging virus on tomato and other solanaceous crops in the U.S. and around the world.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the human papilloma virus (HPV) infection status in men who have sex with men (MSM) recruited from gay bathhouses and HIV voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) clinics in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and identify the associated risk factors. Methods: A total of 200 MSM aged ≥18 years were recruited by using the " snowballing" sampling method from gay bathhouses and VCT clinics in Urumqi during March-May, 2016. The MSM recruited completed questionnaires after filling in the informed consent form. The information about their demographic characteristics and sexual behaviors were collected, and anal swabs were collected from them for HPV genotyping. Results: The overall HPV infection rate was 54.0%. The HPV infection rate was 66.7%(74/111) in MSM from gay bathhouses and 38.2%(34/89) in MSM from VCT clinics and the high risk type HPV infection rate was 39.6% (44/111) in MSM from gay bathhouses and 14.6% (13/89) in MSM from VCT clinics, the differences were significant (χ(2)=16.112, P<0.05; χ(2)=15.190, P<0.05). Multiple logistic regression analysis indicated that the major risk factors for HPV infection included activity in gay bathhouse (OR=3.732, 95% CI: 1.950-7.141) and anal sexual behavior (OR=2.555, 95%CI: 1.329-4.912). Conclusion: The prevalence of HPV in MSM from gay bathhouses was higher than that in MSM from VCT clinics, indicating that close attention should be paid to the behavior intervention in MSM.

Abstract
Balanced translocation is a common structural chromosomal rearrangement in humans. Carriers can be phenotypically normal but have an increased risk of pregnancy loss, fetal death, and the transmission of chromosomal abnormalities to their offspring. Existing prenatal screening technologies and diagnostic procedures fail to detect balanced translocation, so genetic counseling for carriers remains a challenge. Here, we report the characteristics of chromosomal reciprocal translocation in 3807 amniocentesis cases. Of the 16 detected cases of fetal reciprocal translocation, 8 cases (50%) showed positive biochemical marker screening; 3 cases (18.75%) were the parental carriers of a chromosomal abnormality; 2 (12.5%) were of advanced maternal age, 2 (12.5%) had a previous history of children with genetic disorders, and 1 case (6.25%) was associated with positive soft markers in obstetric ultrasound. Chromosomes 5 and 19 were the most commonly involved chromosomes in balanced translocations. Of the 13 cases with fetal balanced translocations, 8 (61.5%) were inherited from a paternal chromosome, 3 (23.1%) from a maternal chromosome, and 2 (15.4%) cases were de novo. The incidence of balanced translocation at amniocentesis was 0.42%. Male carriers of reciprocal chromosome translocation appear to have a higher chance of becoming a parent of a child born by normal childbirth than female carriers.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Knowledge-motivation-psychological model was set up and tested through structural equation model to provide evidence on HIV prevention related strategy in Men who have Sex with Men (MSM). METHODS Snowball sampling method was used to recruit a total of 550 MSM volunteers from two MSM Non-Governmental Organizations in Urumqi, Xinjiang province. HIV prevention related information on MSM was collected through a questionnaire survey. A total of 477 volunteers showed with complete information. HIV prevention related Knowledge-motivation-psychological model was built under related experience and literature. Relations between knowledge, motivation and psychological was studied, using a ' structural equation model' with data from the fitting questionnaires and modification of the model. RESULTS Structural equation model presented good fitting results. After revising the fitting index: RMSEA was 0.035, NFI was 0.965 and RFI was 0.920. Thereafter the exogenous latent variables would include knowledge, motivation and psychological effects. The endogenous latent variable appeared as prevention related behaviors. The standardized total effects of motivation, knowledge, psychological on prevention behavior were 0.44, 0.41 and 0.17 respectively. Correlation coefficient of motivation and psychological effects was 0.16. Correlation coefficient on knowledge and psychological effects was -0.17 (P<0.05). Correlation coefficient of knowledge and motivation did not show statistical significance. CONCLUSION Knowledge of HIV and motivation of HIV prevention did not show any accordance in MSM population. It was necessary to increase the awareness and to improve the motivation of HIV prevention in MSM population.

Abstract
Although there is difficulty in growing a Ti-33Nb-4Sn single crystal due to its ultralow β-phase stability, the single-crystal elastic constants of metastable β-type Ti-33Nb-4Sn (wt%) alloy were extracted successfully from its polycrystal by in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction technique, to clarify the origin of the ultralow Young's modulus in its polycrystal. It is indicated that compared to binary TiCr, TiV and TiNb alloys, the Ti-33Nb-4Sn alloy possesses slightly lower β-phase stability with respect to {110}<110>(-)shear (i.e., C׳) but much lower β-phase stability regarding to {001}〈100〉 shear (i.e., C44). An analysis by the Hill approximation suggests that the ultralow isotropic polycrystalline Young׳s modulus (EH) of Ti-33Nb-4Sn alloy originates from the extremely low shear modulus C44 as well as the relatively low C׳. This indicates that in addition to C׳, C44 has a significant contribution to the Young's modulus of polycrystal, which challenges a conventional understanding that the Young's modulus of β-type Ti alloys is predominantly determined by C׳.

Abstract
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) status was retrospectively analysed by the use of EBV-encoded small RNA (EBER) in situ hybridization (ISH) and EBV DNA analysis in whole blood with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, to assess the clinical significance for diagnosis, prognostication, and monitoring of tumour burden. Three hundred and twenty-nine patients were retrospectively enrolled, with 232 patients being available for EBER ISH analysis, 189 patients for EBV DNA analysis, and 138 patients for both analyses. EBER was positive in 24 (10.3%) patients, and EBV DNA was positive in 18 (9.5%) patients; the two analyses had 92.8% concordance. Patients with pretreatment EBER positivity had worse overall survival (OS) than those without EBER positivity (p 0.03); the same pattern was observed for EBV DNA (p < 0.01). A significant p-value was also observed for OS when EBER and EBV DNA were combined (p < 0.01). On multivariate analysis, both EBV DNA (hazard ratio 3.71, 95% CI 1.78-7.74, p < 0.01) and EBER (hazard ratio 2.03, 95% CI 1.03-4.00, p 0.04) remained independent predictive factors for OS. Regarding the dynamic changes in copy number of elevated EBV DNA, the transformation from positive to negative after cycle 3 with chemotherapy may have the most capacity to distinguish a superior from an inferior outcome. These findings suggest that EBV DNA in whole blood has good concordance with EBER ISH, and that it may be a better prognostic and monitoring biomarker than EBER.
