Abstract
Davisia reginae sp. n. was found in the urinary bladders of the oliver rockfish, Sebastes serranoides; quillback rockfish, S. maliger; striped surfperch, Embiotoca lateralis; and pile surfperch, Damalichthys vacca. This new Davisia belongs to the group whose lateral appendages are "solid."

Abstract
Five species of Leptotheca, one new, were found in the macrourid fishes and the sablefish, Anoplopoma fimbria. Those species which were geographically widespread in numerous host species showed little variation. Two Leptotheca species were found both in the gall bladder and urinary bladder/kidney.

Abstract
Five species, 3 new, of myoxosporida in the genus Myxidium were recovered from 7 genera and 23 species of deepsea macrourids. Although some Myxidium species were geographically dispersed they showed remarkable spore size stability. Two forms, "long" and "stubby" are described for M. coryphaenoidium. Abnormal M. coryphaenoidium spores are shown to resemble superficially other species and genera.

Abstract
Six genera and 15 species, 2 new, of myxosporida were recovered from 14 species of California marine rockfish, Sebastes. The spores of Leptotheca sebasta sp. n. are arched with thick, equal shell valves and large round polar capsules. They are greater in width and sutural diameter and more crescentic than L. latesi. Ceratomyxa sebasta sp. n. is crescentic in shape with equal shell valves. The spores of C. sebasta are shorter in sutural diameter, larger in width, and less crescentic than C. hokarari.

Abstract
The little writing of nystagmus or "petite écriture" is a very striking observation in the examination of the vestibular function by means of the pendular test. The "petite écriture" can be found in patients with reduction of the bloodflow in the vestibular centre. The "petite écuriture" has an average amplitude of 3.5 degrees during the high pendular acceleration (15-18 degrees sec2). It seems to be a variation of the central nystagmus-typ (écriture centrale) found after more effective irritations of the vestibular centre for example encephalitis or contusion of the brainstem.

Abstract
As a method for objective registration of nystagmic responses electronystagmography gives a lot of information about the state of the vestibulo-oculomotor system. Concerning accuracy, reproducibilityand objectivity the commonly used methods for diagnostic interpretation of this material are not quite satisfying. By means of a data acquistion system it is possible to utilize the advantages of the techniques of data processing. In common with fundamental considerations regarding to the choice of the parameters to evaluate the essential parts of the computer-program (calibrations, elimination of interferences, analysis of the fast and slow nystagmic components) are described and examples for the results are shown.

Abstract
Two new species of Davisia were identified in the urinary bladders and kidney tubules of 2 species of marine fish. D. anoplopoma was found in Anoplopoma fimbria from southern and central California. D. pectoralis was recorded from Coryphaenoides pectoralis from northern California. We have distinguished between Davisia species whose lateral appendages are "solid" and those which contain a cavity in their lateral appendages. Our species belong to the latter category. We believe the lateral appendages of "hollow" species are extensions of the spore body and not, as sometimes pictured, independently attached.

Abstract
Providers for California's Medical program were interviewed to determine their reaction to the copayment experiment. Private physicians, pharmacists, and nursing homes routinely collected the copayments and though it was not a particular hardship on the patients. Hospital outpatient departments often did not collect. Physicians both in hospitals and in private practice generally did not know which patients were copayers and hence copayment had no effect on their practice. Pharmacists reported some delay and some selectivity on the part of patients in the filling of their prescriptions. All providers felt as much more harassment and interference from the concurrent prior authorization requirements. This effect may have swamped copayment effects.

Abstract
In January 1972, California initiated a cost-sharing "experiment" as a means of containing rising costs of the Medicaid program. Beneficiaries who had some personal assets were required to pay a token amount for each doctor visit or prescription. This was expected to deter unnecessary services without affecting really needed care. An interview survey was made of beneficiaries continuously in copayment status throughout the 18 months of the experiment. Most beneficiaries had poor knowledge of the program, and tended to confuse copayment with the concurrent constraint of prior authorization for certain classes of service. The beneficiaries reported that the copayment was almost always collected, and most thought it had not affected their health care, but a significant 17 per cent throught it had reduced the care available to them, and these 17 per cent were for the most part in households with high medical need.

Abstract
Henneguya sebasta sp. n. was found on the bulbus and truncus arteriosus and in the heart chambers of 7 species of marine rockfish, Sebastes, from central and southern California. The incidence of this parasite may be of economic interest to the sport and commercial fisheries because of its possible pathogenicity.
