Abstract
Transfer RNAAsp2delta was isolated from Drosophila melanogaster by affinity chromatography on concanavalin A-Sepharose. The tRNA was iodinated "in vitro" with Na [125I] and hybridized "in situ" to salivary gland chromosomes from Drosophila. Subsequent autoradiography allowed the localization of the genes for tRNAAsp2 to the left arm of the second chromosome in the regions 29 D and E.

Abstract
Calculations of the relative volume-dose for 1 and 4-month-old infants yielded a ratio of 1:2. Measurements in the phantom and newborns yielded a surface incidence dose for newborns of 1/400 of the annual environmental radiation surface incidence dose (with optimal radiographic technique). The radiation risk of the pelviogram for newborns and during the first three month period can be justified. Indicated radiographic examination for diagnostic clarification of dysplasia of the hip should not be omitted during the first three months period.

Abstract
A 23% reduction in the amount of 80S ribosomes extracted from young and old male Drosophila melanogaster on a per g wet weight basis was demonstrated. Furthermore, a significant alteration in the structural integrity of the ribosomal RNA-protein complex from older flies as demonstrated by the dissociation of protein from the 80S particle in the presence of varying concentrations of KC1 was observed.

Abstract
Crude extracts of hydra contain a substance or substances which specifically inhibit foot formation in regenerating hydra. This foot inhibitor(s) is probably of low molecular weight, and it is present in the animal in an inactive, structure-bound form as a gradient from foot to head. The foot region contains 60% of this inhibitor in a 7-8 fold higher concentration than the other regions. The foot inhibitor was purified chemically from the head activator (Schaller, 1973) and the 'head' inhibitor (Berking, 1974). It is suggested that the substance under investigation is a new morphogen, responsible for foot inhibition in hydra.

Abstract
d(+) and 1(-) Methyl-2-chloro-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-propionate (common name chlorfenprop-methyl; trade mark Bidisin) were prepared and their herbicidal activities studied on Avena fatua L. and Avena sativa L. ("Flämingskrone"). The 1(-) enantiomer was found to be twice as active as the racemate; the d(+) form almost inactive.

Abstract
Shifts in intra-arterially registered blood pressure during an initial interview were studied in 4 young patients with essential hypertension by means of the Symptom Context Method. The relationships found between both formal variables and thematic categories of speech anteceding blood pressure shifts were in terms of patient and interviewer. All patients showed an increased rate of speech before blood pressure elevations, and in 3 of them the thematic content of 'personal failing, personal failure', 'loss of status of being useful and needed', and 'failure of others to meet the standards of the patient' was more often present before pressure elevations than decreases.

Abstract
The Latzko operation for the closure of a vesico-vaginal fistula is still not well enough known. Urologists have voiced doubts about the functional quality of the late results after this operation. Pouches in the bladder wall which could lead to infection and stone formation are said to occur frequently. Follow-up studies regarding this question are not known. Therefore the patients treated at the University Hospitals Erlangen-Nuernberg and Graz between 1962 and 1972 were subjected to a standardized follow-up protocol. Of 37 women who had the Latzko operation, 24 women returned for a follow-up examination. 19 women had no intermittent urinary tract disease and the follow-up results were normal. In many instances a scar corresponding to the previous fistula could not be detected on cystoscopy. Immediately after the operation, one patient had a recurrent fistula and has not been re-operated. Four women had significant urinary tract findings or had intermittent urinary tract disease. These complications were possibly due to the operation in one case and likely due to the operation in a second case. Our findings suggests that the Latzko operation is the method of choice for the treatment of the typical post-hysterectomy vesico-vaginal fistula.

Abstract
The influence of the patient's position (sitting or supine) on the intraocular pressure has been examined by means of Goldmann applanation-tonometry. The statistical analysis shows that the intraocular pressure decreases after the first measurement. This is the reason for measuring higher values in the first position, irrespective wether the first measurement is done in sitting or supine position. Analysing the values of steady state pressure i.e. 12 min after taking or changing position indicates a little higher mean value of intraocular pressure in the sitting position of the patient. The difference of mean valuse of sitting ans supine position of the patient is not significant. There are patients who have always higher others have always lower values of intraocular pressure in the supine position. These observations described earlier by Strobl and Follmann, have been confirmed by repeated measurements on 19 patients with differences in both directions of 2 to 4 mm Hg. For this reason it seems not feasible to use a statistical mean value of a population to correct the intraocular pressure of a particular case after changing position.
