Abstract
The objective of the present study is to characterize genitourinary tumors (GU) metastatic to the head and neck and to determine long-term prognoses. Using a retrospective chart review of 734 patients treated between January 1995 and May 2005 with an ICD-9 code pertaining to a metastatic head and neck cancer, we found 37 patients with primary GU tumors. There were 24 cases of prostate cancer, 10 cases of renal cell carcinoma, and 4 cases of transitional cell carcinoma. Sixteen of 24 patients (67%) with prostate cancer had a cranial metastasis while 6 of 9 (67%) patients with renal cell carcinoma had cerebral metastasis. We concluded that prolonged survival is possible in prostate cancer patients treated aggressively with radiation and chemotherapy, indicating that early detection and aggressive screening are important in these patients.

Abstract
This study investigated the effect of a specialist eating disorders service on the attitudes and knowledge of local healthcare professionals. A questionnaire was sent to fully qualified psychiatrists, postgraduate trainees in psychiatry and general (internal) medicine, general practitioners (family physicians) and dietitians in two comparable cities: Leicester (which had a specialist eating disorders service) and Nottingham (which did not). Psychiatrists in training in Leicester had a greater knowledge of eating disorders than those in Nottingham. There was greater satisfaction with services in Leicester but no difference in attitudes. The presence of a local eating disorders service enhances postgraduate training and increases knowledge.

Abstract
Heat shock proteins (Hsps) have attracted significant attention as protective antigens against a range of diseases caused by bacterial pathogens. However, more recently there have been suggestions that the protective response is due to the presence of peptide components other than Hsps. We have shown that mice that had been immunized with purified heat shock protein 60 (Hsp60) isolated from Francisella tularensis were protected against a subsequent challenge with some strains of the bacterium. However, this protection appeared to be due to trace amounts of lipopolysaccharide, which were too low to be detected by using the Limulus amoebocyte lysate assay. This finding raises the possibility that the protection afforded by other bacterial Hsp60 proteins may be due to trace quantities of polysaccharide antigens carried by and acting in conjunction with the Hsps.
