Abstract
We report a search for cosmic-ray boosted dark matter with protons using the 0.37 megaton×years data collected at Super-Kamiokande experiment during the 1996-2018 period (SKI-IV phase). We searched for an excess of proton recoils above the atmospheric neutrino background from the vicinity of the Galactic Center. No such excess is observed, and limits are calculated for two reference models of dark matter with either a constant interaction cross section or through a scalar mediator. This is the first experimental search for boosted dark matter with hadrons using directional information. The results present the most stringent limits on cosmic-ray boosted dark matter and exclude the dark matter-nucleon elastic scattering cross section between 10^{-33}cm^{2} and 10^{-27}cm^{2} for dark matter mass from 1 MeV/c^{2} to 300 MeV/c^{2}.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) as first-line screening in fetal chromosome aneuploidy screening practice, and to provide evidence for the prevention and control strategy of birth defects. Methods: Since July 2019, Hebei province had carried out the NIPT project providing first-line screening for eligible pregnant women in the area (except for those who were not applicable). Pregnant women with high risk received genetic counseling, prenatal diagnosis and intervention guidance. Low risk and false-positive ones received continuous detection and moved to prenatal diagnosis center for counseling and diagnosis if abnormities were discovered. All pregnant women were followed up to learn about pregnancy outcomes and newborn health status. Detection results and clinical data of pregnant women participating the NIPT project from July 2019 to July 2020 were collected. The detection results and effect of NIPT were analyzed. Results: (1) Basic information of the screened population: A total of 424 330 pregnant women were screened, and 423 596 were successfully detected, with a success rate of 99.83% (423 596/424 330). The age of pregnant women was (28.8±4.5) years old; the gestational age of screening was (16.6±2.3) weeks; the proportion of advanced-age pregnant women (≥35 years old) was 10.18% (43 132/423 596); in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) rate was 1.58% (6 713/423 596); the twin rate was 1.38% (5 849/423 596); the proportion of primipara was 34.23% (144 977/423 596). (2) Screening results and detection performance: totally, 325, 73 and 20 pregnant women were diagnosed with trisomy 21, 18 and 13; the sensitivity were 99.39%, 100.00% and 100.00%; the specificity were 99.98%, 99.99% and 99.98%; the positive predictive value were 75.76%, 68.87% and 21.51%, respectively. Besides, 249 190 pregnant women were received supplementary reports as well, and 255, 10 and 9 were confirmed for sex chromosome aneuploidy, other autosomal aneuploidy and deletion/duplication syndrome; the positive predictive value were 37.78%, 6.06% and 32.14%, respectively. The sensitivity of NIPT for target trisomy (trisomy 21, 18 and 13) screening in advanced-age, IVF-ET and twin pregnant women were 99.29%, 100.00% and 90.00%, respectively; the specificity were 99.93% for all; the positive predictive value were 82.25%, 61.54% and 69.23%, respectively. Conclusions: NIPT has a significant effect and good performance in the first-line screening of fetal chromosome aneuploidy in the whole population, which might provide reference for the improvement of birth defect prevention and control strategy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Inflammasomes are related to tumorigenesis and immune-regulation. Here, we investigated the prognostic value of the NLR family pyrin domain containing (NLRP) 1/NLRP3 inflammasome and its potential mechanisms in immune-regulation in gastric cancer (GC). METHODS We analyzed the differential expression of NLRP1/NLRP3 between tumor and normal tissues using the Oncomine and Tumor Immune Estimate Resource (TIMER) databases. Immunohistochemistry and western blotting were used to detect NLRP1/NLRP3 protein expression in GC tissues. Correlations between NLRP1/NLRP3 expression levels and patient survival were analyzed using Kaplan-Meier survival curves. The relationships of NLRP1/NLRP3 expression and tumor-infiltrating immune cells/marker genes were assessed using the TIMER database. NLRP1/NLRP3 and immune checkpoint gene correlations were verified by single-gene co-expression analyses, and tumor immune-related pathways involving NLRP1/NLRP3 were analyzed using gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA). RESULTS Elevated NLRP1/NLRP3 expression was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis, poor survival, immune-infiltrating cell abundances, and immune cell markers. NLRP3 showed stronger correlations with immune infiltration and the prognosis of gastric cancer. NLRP1 and NLRP3 might be involved in the same tumor immune-related pathways. Thus, high NLRP1/NLRP3 expression promotes immune cell infiltration and poor prognosis in GC. NLRP1/NLRP3, particularly NLRP3, may have important roles in immune infiltration and may serve as a prognostic biomarker for GC. CONCLUSIONS NLRP1/NLRP3, particularly NLRP3, may have important roles in immune infiltration and may serve as a prognostic biomarker for GC.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the trend of postoperative cavity status in patients with eosinophilic chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps (eCRSwNP) who underwent total nasalization surgery and partial reboot surgery. And to discuss the relationship between tissue eosinophil counts and status of postoperative cavity. Methods: Patients with eCRSwNP in four tertiary medical centers (Longgang ENT Hospital, Xiamen Humanity Hospital, Guangdong Clifford Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University) from March 2018 to October 2021 were divided into 2 groups. The group without previous surgery history was performed for the nasalization surgery, and another group with previous surgery history underwent the part-reboot surgery. The follow-up time after operation was defined as the following 5 stages: 6, 12, 20-24, 36 and more than 42 months. According to FESS-95 Guangzhou standard, status of sinus cavity was assessed and classified into 3 categories: good, better and bad. The association between the sinus cavity status and tissue eosinophil counts in the above 5 stages was analyzed by one-way ANOVA, and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: A total of 72 eCRSwNP patients finished the follow-up in this study. There were 47 males and 25 females in these patients, aged from 11 to 67 years. A total of 50 cases underwent nasalization surgery and 22 cases underwent partial reboot surgery. With the follow-up time from 6 to 48 months, there were 72 cases (100.0%) who completed 6 months and 12 months follow up, 46 cases (63.9%) for 20-24 months, 36 cases (50.0%) for 32-36 months and 16 cases (22.2%) with the follow-up time more than 42 months. No matter what kind of surgery, there was no "bad" situation of the surgical cavity status 6 months after the operation, and the differentiation gradually occurred more than 12 months after the surgery. Moreover, the rates of "good" cavity status for the 5 stages in the group of nasalization surgery were 78.0%, 66.0%, 56.7%, 47.6% and 42.9%, and were 63.6%, 45.5%, 25.0%, 20.0% and 11.1% in the partial reboot surgery group, respectively, suggesting that the status of nasal cavity in nasalization surgery group was always better than that in partial reboot surgery group in every period. In addition, the "bad" rate was 0, 8.0%, 10.0%, 14.3% and 28.6% in the group of nasalization surgery, and was 0, 27.3%, 18.8%, 33.3% and 55.6% in the partial reboot surgery group, respectively. The average percentage of tissue eosinophil counts in the 72 cases was 42.1%, which had no obvious effect on the status of the surgical cavity (P>0.05). Conclusions: For eCRSwNP patients, the operative cavity status in the patients without previous operation history treated with nasalization surgery is good. The time of 1-2 years after surgery is the main period for sinus lesions. The counts of tissue eosinophils has no significant influence on surgical sinus cavity status in the eCRSwNP patients.

Abstract
The sample temperature in an externally heated diamond anvil cell (EHDAC) is generally measured by a thermocouple fixed to the pavilions of diamond anvils, ignoring the temperature difference between the thermocouple and the sample. However, the measured temperature depends strongly on the placement of the thermocouple, thus seriously reducing the accuracy of the temperature measurement and hindering the use of EHDAC in experiments requiring precise temperature measurements, such as high-pressure melting and phase-diagram investigations. In this study, the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the 0-0 fluorescence line of strontium borate doped with bivalent samarium ions (SrBO4:Sm2+, SBO) is found to be highly sensitive to temperature and responds extremely rapidly to small temperature fluctuations, which makes it an excellent temperature indicator. We propose herein a precise method to measure temperature that involves measuring the FWHM of the 0-0 fluorescence line of SBO. This method is used to correct the temperature discrepancy between the thermocouple and the sample in an EHDAC. These corrections significantly improve the accuracy of temperature measurements in EHDACs. The accuracy of this method is verified by measuring the melting point of tin at ambient pressure. We also use this method to produce a tentative elementary phase diagram of tin up to 109 GPa and 495 K. This method facilitates high-pressure, high-temperature experiments demanding accurate temperature measurements in various disciplines. The study also discusses, in general, the experimental approach to measuring temperature.

Abstract
Introduction/Objective
Genes commonly mutated in clonal Hematopoiesis (CH) are found in a subset of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. Although these mutations can occur early in AML evolution, they are not alone sufficient to cause AML, and their role in disease development is still poorly understood.
Methods/Case Report
We searched all AML cases with mutations in three major CH genes (DNMT3A, TET2, ASXL1). Only mutations of known or possible clinical significance were included. We evaluated the pathologic diagnosis, cytogenetics, molecular profiling, and follow-up information.

Eighty-one cases were identified (59 males and 22 females, age 33-89, median 67). Blasts often show monocytic differentiation, seen frequently in AML with mutated NPM1 and AML NOS, with less frequency in t-AML (25%). Among 72 patients with available cytogenetic data, 50% had normal karyotype. MDS- related cytogenetic abnormalities were common and included complex karyotype, del(5q), del(7q), +8, and +20.
Mutations in CH genes were almost always accompanied by other driver mutations (90%), most frequently NPM1, followed by mutations in cell signaling genes (FLT3, RUNX1, KRAS, CBL, NF1, NRAS), spliceosome (SRSF2, U2AF1, ZRZF2), IDH1/2, cohesin complex-related genes (STAG1, STAG2, SMC3, SMC1A, RAD21), BCOR, TP53, WT1, PHF6, or SH2B3. Mutations in CH genes can persist after the patients achieved morphologic remission, and were often associated with disappearance of the accompanying mutations (68%). The VAF of the mutated CH-related genes, during remission, significantly decreased (p=0.00075), indicating decreasing clone size with AML treatment. Conclusion
Mutations in CH-related genes are present in different types of AML, but most frequently in AML with mutated NPM1, AML-MRC and AML with monocytic differentiation. They alone are not sufficient to cause AML, and can shrink during remission. Relapse is often accompanied by acquisition of additional mutations.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of the Hodgkin lymphoma (HL)-2013 regimen in the treatment of children with HL, and to investigate the prognostic factors of childhood HL. Methods: Clinical data of 145 children (aged ≤18 years) with newly diagnosed HL, treated with HL-2013 regimen in 8 tertiary referral centers for childhood cancer from August 2011 to April 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. All the diagnosis were confirmed by histopathological morphology and immunohistochemical examination. The clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes were summarized, and the patients were divided into different groups according to clinical characteristics. Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis, and the comparison of survival rates between groups was performed with Log-rank test. Results: Of the 145 cases, there were 115 males and 30 females, the age at diagnosis was 7.9 (5.8, 10.6) years. Cervical lymph node enlargement (114 cases, 78.6%) was the common symptom of the disease, and 57 patients (39.3%) were accompanied by large masses. The most common pathological classification was mixed cell type (93 cases, 64.1%). According to the Ann Arbor staging system, there were 9 cases of stage Ⅰ, 62 cases of stage Ⅱ, 45 cases of stage Ⅲ, 29 cases of stage Ⅳ. According to the risk stratification: there were 14 cases of low-risk group, 76 cases of medium-risk group and 55 cases of high-risk group. Of all patients, 68 cases (46.9%) achieved an early complete remission (CR) after 2 courses of chemotherapy, and the CR rate was 93.8% (136/145) after first-line treatment. Disease recurrence or progression occurred in 22 cases (15.2%). Of all patients, 125 cases survived, 6 cases died and 14 cases were lost to follow-up. Among the survived cases, 123 cases were continuously at CR state,and the follow-up time was 55 (40, 76) months. The 5-year overall survival (OS) and event free survival (EFS) rates were (95.3±1.9)% and (84.2±3.0)% for the entire group, respectively. 5-year OS and EFS rates for patients with stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ were both lower than those for patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (χ2=6.28 and 7.58, both P<0.05), the 5-year OS and EFS rates for patients in high-risk group were both lower than those for patients in low-risk and medium-risk group (χ2=10.93, 7.79, both P<0.05). The 5-year OS rates for the patient with early CR and without early CR were 100.0% and (90.9±3.6)% (χ2=5.77, P=0.016). EFS rates for the patient with early CR (68 cases) and without early CR (77 cases) were (93.8±3.0)% and (75.8±5.0)% (χ2=8.78, P=0.003). Conclusions: HL-2013 regimen is significantly effective in the treatment of pediatric HL. However, the patients in high-risk group and those without early CR are prone to disease recurrence or progression. Stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ and without early CR were associated with worse prognosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the relationship between baseline atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) and new-onset myocardial infarction (MI) in hypertensive patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). PATIENTS AND METHODS 2,281 participants were included in this analysis after strict adherence to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were estimated using multivariable Cox regression models. A generalized additive model was employed to determine nonlinear relationships. RESULTS In multivariate-adjusted models, there was a positive association between AIP and new-onset MI (per SD increase; HR=1.42, 95% CI: 1.22-1.65). Smoothing curve fitting revealed a J-shaped association between AIP and new-onset MI, with a turning point of approximately -0.08. The addition of AIP to a model with established risk factors improved the C-index (p=0.007), integrated discrimination improvement (p=0.007), and continuous net reclassification improvement (p=0.027) for the new-onset MI. CONCLUSIONS A J-shaped relationship was observed between AIP and new-onset MI.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is involved in the occurrence, development and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases, especially acute myocardial infarction (AMI). In recent years, the trend of AMI at a younger age has gradually attracted people's attention. Relevant studies have confirmed that MetS affects the prognosis of people aged ≥45 with AMI. However, there is still a lack of research on MetS in people with premature myocardial infarction (PMI).
Purpose
To explore the impact of MetS and its components on clinical severity and long-term prognosis in PMI patients.
Methods
772 Patients with AMI who aged ≤45 years old from 2015 to 2020 in a hospital were enrolled. The patients were divided into MetS group (n=417) and non-MetS group (n=355) according to the criteria proposed by NCEP ATP III in 2005 (Any 3 of the following 5): 1) Hypertension: BP ≥130/85 mmHg or consistent hypertensive patients undergoing treatment; 2) Hypertriglyceridemia: fasting plasma triglyceride ≥1.7 mmol/L; 3) Fasting HDL-C <1.0 mmol/L in men and <1.3 mmol/L in women. 4) Hyperglycemia: fasting blood glucose level ≥6.1 mmol/L or known diabetic patients undergoing treatment; 5) Central obesity: BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2. Patients were followed for median of 42 months for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). The parameters of clinical severity were compared using logistic regression analysis. Cox regression were used to analyze the relationship between MetS and its components and prognosis.
Results
A total of 772 patients were included in the analysis. Hyperglycemia was associated with multi-vessel disease (OR=1.700, 95% CI 1.172–2.464, P=0.005) and Syntax score ≥33 (OR=2.736, 95% CI 1.241–6.032, P=0.013).Increased MACE were observed in the MetS group (17.9% vs 10.3%, P=0.004) after 42 months follow-up. The Kaplan-Meier curve also showed significant differences (P<0.001). MetS was an independent risk factor for MACE (HR=2.181, 95% CI 1.392–3.418, P=0.001). Of each component of the definition, BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2 (HR=2.047, 95% CI 1.229–3.410, P=0.006) and hyperglycemia (HR=2.911, 95% CI 1.850–4.580, P<0.001) were independent risk factors for MACE.
Conclusions
In patients with PMI, (1) hyperglycemia usually indicates more severe lesions; (2) MetS as a whole was an independent risk factor for MACE; (3) Of each component of the MetS, BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2 and hyperglycemia were associated with MACE.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the clinical features and the outcome of in-hospital mortality between patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries(MINOCA)and myocardial infarction with obstructive coronary artery disease (MI-CAD). Methods: This is a retrospective study. The clinical data of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients admitted to Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from January 2017 to May 2021, who underwent coronary angiography, were collected. Patients were divided into MINOCA group and MI-CAD group according to the degree of coronary stenosis (<50% or ≥50%). Baseline clinical characteristics, electrocardiograph during hospitalization, myocardial bridge, length of stay in hospital, discharge medication and the outcome of in-hospital mortality were collected and compared between the two groups. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to screen the related factors of MINOCA and the factors predicting the nosocomial death outcome of patients with AMI. Results: A total of 3 048 AMI patients were enrolled, age was 62 (54, 69) years, 741 (24.3%) patients were women including 165 patients (5.4%) in the MINOCA group and 2 883 patients (94.6%) in the MI-CAD group. Compared with MI-CAD patients, MINOCA patients were younger, had a higher proportion of females and a higher incidence of NSTEMI, and had a lower history of smoking, diabetes, coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction. Baseline inflammatory markers such as neutrophil count, monocyte count, neutrophil count/lymphocyte count (NLR), and monocyte count/high-density lipoprotein count (MHR) were lower, creatinine, N-terminal pro-brain B-type Natriuretic peptides (NT-proBNP), creatine kinase-MB, hypersensitive troponin I, fibrinogen, baseline blood glucose levels were lower, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol was higher, and the incidence of myocardial bridge, arrhythmia, tachycardia and atrial fibrillation was higher (P<0.05). The application rates of calcium antagonists and non-vitamin K antagonists oral anticoagulants were higher in MINOCA group (P<0.05), and there was no statistical difference in hospitalization days and in-hospital death between the two groups (P>0.05). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that young age, female, non-smoker, no history of coronary heart disease and low MHR were risk factors of MINOCA (P<0.05). MINCOA was not associated with higher in-hospital death (P>0.05). Patients with AMI and a history of coronary heart disease, chronic renal failure, higher baseline blood glucose, higher NLR, and higher D-dimer were risk factors of in-hospital death (P<0.05). Conclusions: Compared with MI-CAD patients, MINOCA patients are younger, more likely to be female and non-smokers and on history of coronary heart disease, and have lower baseline MHR. MINOCA is often associated with myocardial bridge and atrial fibrillation. The incidence of in-hospital death in MINCOA patients is similar as in MI-CAD patients.

Abstract
High power microwave (HPM) sources usually require a well-defined rectangular pulse waveform, which is especially true for the case of long pulse (>100 ns), stable, and high efficiency operation. Most long pulse HPM drivers are realized with pulse forming networks. This paper presents a long pulse driver composed of a conventional Marx generator and metal-oxide varistors (MOVs), utilizing the MOV's nonlinear V-I characteristic. This method is easy to implement, and it has an additional benefit that the voltage can be stabilized even if the load's impedance changes slightly. A low inductance zig-zag folding structure of the MOV is designed to decrease its size and self-inductance. An LC filter is used to reduce the energy loss in the MOV. In the experiment, a 400 kV, 800 ns long pulse is achieved at a foil-less electron diode, and longer than 300 ns HPM generation is obtained.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of WWW production and a measurement of its cross section using 139 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Events with two same-sign leptons (electrons or muons) and at least two jets, as well as events with three charged leptons, are selected. A multivariate technique is then used to discriminate between signal and background events. Events from WWW production are observed with a significance of 8.0 standard deviations, where the expectation is 5.4 standard deviations. The inclusive WWW production cross section is measured to be 820±100 (stat)±80 (syst) fb, approximately 2.6 standard deviations from the predicted cross section of 511±18 fb calculated at next-to-leading-order QCD and leading-order electroweak accuracy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Accurate radiologic evaluation of the possibility of successful recanalization in symptomatic chronic ICA occlusion remains challenging. This study aimed to investigate the high-resolution MR imaging characteristics of symptomatic chronic ICA occlusion and their association with successful recanalization. MATERIALS AND METHODS Consecutive patients with symptomatic chronic ICA occlusion who underwent balloon dilation plus stent implantation were identified retrospectively and divided into 2 groups: a successful recanalization group and an unsuccessful recanalization group. Clinical and high-resolution MR imaging characteristics were compared between the groups. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to identify the characteristics associated with successful recanalization. RESULTS A total of 114 patients were included in the study. High-resolution MR imaging characteristics independently associated with unsuccessful recanalization were longer lesion length (OR, 0.41; 95% CI, 0.36-0.55; P = .009) and larger calcification volume (OR, 0.56; 95% CI, 0.37-0.68; P = .002) for proximal occlusion and reversed distal ICA flow at the level of ophthalmic segment or above (OR, 0.14; 95% CI, 0.08-0.48; P = .001). Reversed distal ICA flow at the level of the petrous segment or below (OR, 4.07; 95% CI, 1.65-8.38; P = .001) and lumen area (OR, 1.13; 95% CI, 1.04-1.61; P = .002) for distal occlusion were risk factors of successful recanalization. CONCLUSIONS In symptomatic chronic ICA occlusion, lesion length and calcification volume (for proximal occlusion), the level of reversed distal ICA flow, and the lumen area (for distal occlusion) appear to be predictors of successful recanalization. High-resolution MR imaging can evaluate chronic ICA occlusion and help in clinical decision-making.

Abstract
The standard model of particle physics1-4 describes the known fundamental particles and forces that make up our Universe, with the exception of gravity. One of the central features of the standard model is a field that permeates all of space and interacts with fundamental particles5-9. The quantum excitation of this field, known as the Higgs field, manifests itself as the Higgs boson, the only fundamental particle with no spin. In 2012, a particle with properties consistent with the Higgs boson of the standard model was observed by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN10,11. Since then, more than 30 times as many Higgs bosons have been recorded by the ATLAS experiment, enabling much more precise measurements and new tests of the theory. Here, on the basis of this larger dataset, we combine an unprecedented number of production and decay processes of the Higgs boson to scrutinize its interactions with elementary particles. Interactions with gluons, photons, and W and Z bosons-the carriers of the strong, electromagnetic and weak forces-are studied in detail. Interactions with three third-generation matter particles (bottom (b) and top (t) quarks, and tau leptons (τ)) are well measured and indications of interactions with a second-generation particle (muons, μ) are emerging. These tests reveal that the Higgs boson discovered ten years ago is remarkably consistent with the predictions of the theory and provide stringent constraints on many models of new phenomena beyond the standard model.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the diagnostic value of the serum tumor markers carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), cytokeratin-19-fragment (CYFRA21-1), squamous cell carcinoma associated antigen (SCCAg), neuron-specificenolase (NSE) and pro-gastrin-releasing peptide (ProGRP) for lung cancers of different pathological types. METHODS This study was conducted among patients with established diagnoses of lung adenocarcinoma (LADC, n=137), lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC, n=82), small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC, n=59), and benign chest disease (BCD, n=102). The serum tumor markers were detected for all the patients for comparison of the positivity rates and their serum levels. ROC curve was used for analysis of the diagnostic efficacy of these tumor markers either alone or in different combinations. RESULTS In patients with LADC, the positivity rate and serum level of CEA were significantly higher than those in the other groups (P < 0.05); the patients with LSCC had the highest positivity rate and serum level of SCCAg among the 4 groups (P < 0.05). The positivity rates and serum levels of ProGRP and NSE were significantly higher in SCLC group than in the other groups (P < 0.05). CYFRA21-1 showed the highest positivity rate and serum level in LADC group and LSCC group. With the patients with BCD as control, CEA showed a diagnostic sensitivity of 62.8% and a specificity of 93.1% for LADC, and the sensitivity and specificity of SCCAg for diagnosing LSCC were 64.6% and 91.2%, respectively. CYFRA21-1 had the highest diagnostic sensitivity for LADC and LSCC. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of ProGRP for SCLC were 83.1% and 98.0%, respectively. When combined, CYFRA21-1 and CEA showed a high sensitivity (78.8%) and specificity (86.3%) for diagnosing LADC with an AUC of 0.891; CYFRA21-1 and SCCAg had a high sensitivity (84.1%) and specificity (87.3%) for diagnosing LSCC with an AUC of 0.912. NSE combined with ProGRP was highly sensitive (88.1%) and specific (98.0%) for diagnosis of SCLC, with an AUC of 0.952. For lung cancers of different pathological types, the combination of all the 5 tumor markers showed no significant differences in the diagnostic power from a combined detection with any two of the markers (P>0.05). CONCLUSION CEA, CYFRA21-1, SCCAg, NSE and ProGRP are all related to the pathological type of lung cancers and can be used in different combinations as useful diagnostic indicators for lung cancers.
