Abstract
The defects in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) can dramatically alter their pore structure and chemical properties. However, it has been a great challenge to characterize the molecular structure of defects, especially when the defects are distributed irregularly in the lattice. In this work, we applied a characterization strategy based on solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to assess the chemistry of defects. This strategy takes advantage of the coordination-sensitive phosphorus probe molecules, e.g., trimethylphosphine (TMP) and trimethylphosphine oxide (TMPO), that can distinguish the subtle differences in the acidity of defects. A variety of local chemical environments have been identified in defective and ideal MOF lattices. The geometric dimension of defects can also be evaluated by using the homologs of probe molecules with different sizes. In addition, our method provides a reliable way to quantify the density of defect sites, which comes together with the molecular details of local pore environments. The comprehensive solid-state NMR strategy can be of great value for a better understanding of MOF structures and for guiding the design of MOFs with desired catalytic or adsorption properties. Defects in porous materials can alter the pore structure and chemical properties. Here authors demonstrate an approach for studying defects in metal-organic frameworks using 31P NMR and probe molecules.

Abstract
The reutilization of exhausted biochar is attracting extensive interest among researchers. In this study, the biochar generated from Chinese fir with natural regular porous structure that adsorbed Cd2+/Ni2+ at different concentration levels was used as the precursor, and then combined with simple hydrothermal vulcanization and ion deposition to generate the p-n heterojunction between NiS and CdS compounds (NiS-CdS@C) in situ. The hybrids with 3 cycles of NiS deposition reduced the interfacial transmission resistance from 80 Ω to 40 Ω, and increased photocurrent density by 5 times, thus effectively promoting the separation of photogenerated electrons and holes. The simultaneous removal of As(III) and Cr(VI) was selected to evaluate the oxidation and reduction capacity of the visible light/NiS-CdS@C/oxalate system. The results indicated that 10 mg/L As(III) and Cr(VI) were completely and simultaneously removed with 0.75 mM oxalate addition within 40 min in the system, and the NiS-CdS@C presented good durability and stability for oxalate activation. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and quenching experiments demonstrated that oxalate was activated by holes under light to produce •CO2- and enhanced the generation of additional •OH and •O2-, further contributing to the oxidation of As(III) and reduction of Cr(VI).

Abstract
A 59-year-old male patient with local sinus tract formation due to residual foreign body was admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University College of Medicine on December 17, 2018. The examination showed that the residual foreign body was the component of a sticky cloth implanted when the patient underwent appendectomy 27 years ago. Hypertrophic scar developed at the right-lower abdominal incision for appendectomy 23 years ago and the secondary infection after cicatrectomy resulted in non-healing of the wound. The chronic refractory wound healed completely after surgical treatment in our hospital after this admission. The postoperative pathological examination revealed local inflammatory granuloma. This case suggests that chronic refractory wound is likely to form when secondary infection occurs following the surgical procedure near the implant, and aggressive surgery is an effective way to solve this problem.

Abstract
BackgroundAntibodies directed to the angiotensin receptor type 1 (AT1R) were found to be increased in patients with SSc ad they predict mortality and SSc complications (1, 2). In vitro studies suggested an involvement in the pathogenesis of systemic sclerosis (SSc).ObjectivesHere, we aim to determine the contribution and functions of AT1R autoantibodies (Abs) in vivo and in vitro as well as their capacity to recognize AT1R from different species.MethodsC57BL/6J mice were immunized with membrane-embedded human AT1R or empty membrane as control. Phenotypic properties of various organs were examined by immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and TUNEL apoptosis assay. A monoclonal (m)AT1R Ab was generated based upon this mouse model by hybridoma technology and transferred into C57BL/6J mice. Mice deficient for CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, B cells and AT1Ra/b served as controls. In vitro, Abs responses towards AT1R were measured using rat cardiomyocytes, human epithelial cells, AT1R-transfected HEK293 cells and primary human monocytes.ResultsAT1R-immunized mice developed perivascular skin and lung inflammation, lymphocytic alveolitis, weak endothelial apoptosis and skin fibrosis, not present in controls or mice deficient for CD4+ T and B cells. The contribution of AT1R Abs to skin manifestations and interstitial lung disease was demonstrated by application of a mAT1R Ab, which induced skin and lung inflammation, not observed in the AT1Ra/b knockout mice. IgG from immunized mice containing AT1R Abs and/or the mAT1R Ab activated rat cardiomyocytes and human monocytes. Treatment of AT1R-transfected HEK293 cells with the mAT1R Ab enhanced AT1R signaling in the presence of the endogenous agonist Angiotensin II.ConclusionOur immunization strategy successfully induced AT1R Abs, contributing to inflammation and most likely to fibrosis via activation of AT1R. Therefore, AT1R Abs are valuable targets for future therapies in SSc and possibly other AT1R Ab-related diseases.References[1]Riemekasten, G. et al. Abstract
Objective: To identify prognostic factors for revitrectomy in patients who underwent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) for complications with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR). Methods: This study was a retrospective case-control study. Clinical data of PDR patients (290 eyes) at Peking University People's Hospital from December 2019 to December 2020 were retrospectively collected.According to the number of operations, patients were divided into two groups: single PPV group (227 eyes) and revitrectomy PPV group (63 eyes). Follow-up will be conducted up to 6 months postoperatively. The BCVA was compared before and after PPV between the two groups, and postoperative complications of revitrectomy PPV group were analyzed. Quantitative data are presented as medians [M (Q1, Q3)]. Results: The age of single PPV group patients was 55.0 (47.0, 63.0), and the age of revitrectomy PPV group patients was 49.0 (38.0, 57.0). This difference was statistically significant (P=0.027). The LogMAR visual acuity of two groups were 1.7 (1.0, 2.4) and 2.1 (1.4, 2.4) (P=0.026) preoperative; the visual acuity of single PPV group was 0.75 (0.43, 1.00) (P<0.001), and revitrectomy PPV group was 0.95 (0.60, 1.65) (P<0.001) at 6 months postoperative. The visual acuity improvement of single PPV group was better than revitrectomy PPV group (P=0.021). Age (P=0.043, OR=0.97, 95%CI: 0.95-1.00), preoperative BCVA (P=0.024, OR=1.82, 95%CI: 1.08-3.05), tractional retinal detachment (TRD) (P=0.033, OR=2.16, 95%CI:1.06-4.37), silicone oil tamponade (P=0.028, OR=0.48, 95%CI: 0.25-0.92) were prognostic factors of revitrectomy. Conclusion: Young age, low preoperative BCVA, TRD, and silicon oil tamponade were the potential prognostic factors of revitrectomy for PDR patients.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the outcomes of modified Appleby procedure and sub-adventitial divestment technique for locally advanced or borderline resectable pancreatic body cancer. Methods: A total of consecutive 58 patients(33 males and 25 females) who were diagnosed as locally advanced or borderline resectable pancreatic body cancer and underwent distal pancreatectomy at Pancreas Center, First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University between September 2013 and May 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. The age(M(IQR)) was 62(9)years(range: 43 to 79 years). Thirty-one patients underwent distal pancreatectomy with celiac axis resection (DP-CAR) and 27 patients underwent distal pancreatectomy with sub-adventitial divestment technique(SDT). Perioperative parameters and follow-up data of these patients were analyzed. Quantitative data were compared with Wilcoxon test while categorical variables were compared with χ2 test or Fisher's exact test. Survival results were estimated by the Kaplan-Meier survival method with a Log-rank test. Results: There were no differences in age, gender, body mass index, abdominal symptoms, comorbidity or preoperative serum CA19-9 between two groups(all P>0.05). Obvious preoperative weight loss was more common in the group of SDT(48.1%(13/27) vs. 19.4%(6/31),χ²=5.431,P=0.020). Longer operative time(310(123) minutes vs. 254(137)minutes, Z=2.277,P=0.023),higher rate of combined organ resection(41.9%(13/31) vs. 14.8%(4/27),χ²=5.123,P=0.041) and longer postoperative hospital stay(15(10) days vs. 11(5)days,Z=2.292,P=0.022) were observed in the group of DP-CAR. Moreover, rate of overall morbidities was also higher (71.0%(22/31) vs. 29.6%(8/27),χ2=9.876,P=0.003),implicated by clinically relevant postoperative pancreatic fistula(61.3%(19/31) vs. 29.6%(8/27),χ2=5.814,P=0.020) in the DP-CAR group. Tumor size of the DP-CAR group was bigger(4.9(1.5)cm vs. 4.0(1.2)cm,Z=2.343,P=0.019) but no difference was seen between the DP-CAR group and SDT group in R0+R1(<1 mm) resection rate (84.0%(21/25) vs. 90.0%(18/20),P=0.678) and LNR(12.0(23.0)% vs. 9.0(18.0)%,Z=1.238,P=0.216),as well as median disease free survival(11.7 months vs. 11.4 months,Z=0.019,P=0.892) and median overall survival(16.3 months vs. 13.7 months,Z=0.172,P=0.679). Conclusions: Both DP-CAR and distal pancreatectomy with SDT are relatively safe and feasible for locally advanced or borderline resectable pancreatic body cancer. Compared with arterial resection,SDT may contribute to lower rates of postoperative complications and shorter duration of hospitalization, but no significant benefit is seen in long-term survival.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the clinical effect of acellular bovine pericardium patch in implant based immediate breast reconstruction. Methods: The clinicopathological information of 141 breast cancer patients, who admitted to Department of Breast Reconstruction and Oncoplastic Surgery, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital, underwent immediate mammoplasty with implants combined with acellular bovine pericardium patches were analyzed from June 2016 to October 2019. All patients were female, with the age of (38.8±8.5) years (range: 13 to 60 years). The body mass index was (21.9±2.5) kg/m2 (range: 16.0 to 32.3 kg/m2). There were 39 cases of duct carcinoma in situ, 46 cases of stage Ⅰ, 40 cases of stage Ⅱ and 16 cases of stage Ⅲ. All patients received nipple-areola-sparing mastectomy or skin-sparing mastectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary lymph node dissection, and prosthesis implantation with sub-pectoralis combined with breast patch. The correlation of clinicopathological characters and complications was assessed by t test, χ2 test, Fisher's exact probability method and Logistic regression. Pre-and post-operative aesthetic, quality of life scores were recorded. Results: The operation time (M(IQR)) was 3.6(1.5) hours (range: 3.0 to 6.5 hours). The early postoperative complication rate was 22.0% (31/141), prosthesis removal was the main postoperative complication, accounting for 64.5% (20/31) of the total complications, of which 15 cases occurred in the first 30 patients. The follow-up time was 28(8) months (range: 20 to 53 months), The most frequent long-term complications were capsular contracture and implant displacement, with the incidence of 11.2% (14/125) and 10.4% (13/125), respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that prosthesis volume ≥300 ml (OR=8.173, 95%CI: 1.302 to 51.315, P=0.021) and peri-areolar incision (OR=7.809, 95%CI: 2.162 to 28.211, P<0.01) were independent relative factors for the occurrence of short-term postoperative local complications. After 2 years of operation, the score of breast appearance satisfaction was 71.7±15.5, postoperative effect satisfaction was 90.4±9.5, psychological satisfaction was 90.7±17.1, sexual satisfaction was 70.1±25.1. The immediate postoperative satisfaction rate at discharge was 95.4% (134/141), and 17.6% (22/125) of patients had the intention to received revision surgery. Conclusions: Prosthesis volume ≥300 ml and peri-areolar incision were independent realtive factors for short-term local complications after bovine pericardium patch combined with prosthesis implantation in the immediate breast reconstruction. After completing the learning curve, the postoperative complications of the procedure could be decreased.

Abstract
Iridocorneal endothelial syndrome is a rare ophthalmic disease, most of which are unilateral and common in women. The rate of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis is relatively high due to its various clinical manifestations. In this case, the patient presented uncontrollable high intraocular pressure, corneal edema leading to difficult observation of corneal endothelium morphology, and accompanied by a small amount of iris neovascularization. No clearly diagnosis was made before glaucoma surgery. Further examination was performed after corneal clearance, and the final diagnosis was iris corneal endothelial syndrome (Chandler syndrome).

Abstract
Summary
Generalized linear models, such as logistic regression, are widely used to model the association between a treatment and a binary outcome as a function of baseline covariates. However, the coefficients of a logistic regression model correspond to log odds ratios, while subject-matter scientists are often interested in relative risks. Although odds ratios are sometimes used to approximate relative risks, this approximation is appropriate only when the outcome of interest is rare for all levels of the covariates. Poisson regressions do measure multiplicative treatment effects including relative risks, but with a binary outcome not all combinations of parameters lead to fitted means that are between zero and one. Enforcing this constraint makes the parameters variation dependent, which is undesirable for modelling, estimation and computation. Focusing on the special case where the treatment is also binary, Richardson et al. (2017) proposed a novel binomial regression model, that allows direct modelling of the relative risk. The model uses a log odds-product nuisance model leading to variation independent parameter spaces. Building on this we present general approaches to modelling the multiplicative effect of a continuous or categorical treatment on a binary outcome. Monte Carlo simulations demonstrate the desirable performance of our proposed methods. A data analysis on the Titanic further exemplifies our methods.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the high-frequency hearing loss (HFHL) of workers in an automobile factory and its influencing factors, so as to provide a scientific basis for occupational health management of noise workers. Methods: From March to July 2019, 2647 workers from an automobile factory were selected as the research objects by cluster sampling method. The basic personal information (such as gender, age, education level, height, weight, etc.) , history of ear disease, the history of detonation, history of exposure to ototoxic drugs, history of exposure to occupational noise, etc., were investigated by questionnaire and occupational health examination. Chi-square test was used to compare the detection rates of HFHL in different populations, and multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of HFHL. Results: The noise level of 2647 individual workers ranged from 75.0 dB (A) to 92.0 dB (A) , with an average of (84.14±2.47) dB (A) . The detection rate of HFHL was 17.2% (456/2647) . There were significant differences in the the detection rate of HFHL among workers of different gender, age, educational level, working age, noise exposure level, diabetes history, detonation history, smoking and drinking workers (P<0.05) . Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that male, age ≥30 years old, smoking and noise exposure were risk factors for HFHL (P<0.05) . Conclusion: The detection rate of HFHL in automobile factory workers is high. Gender, age, smoking and noise are the influencing factors of HFHL. It is necessary to strengthen the noise control in the workplace and guide workers to choose healthy lifestyle.
