Abstract
In this Letter, we report the first measurement of the inelastic cross section for antideuteron-nucleus interactions at low particle momenta, covering a range of 0.3≤p<4 GeV/c. The measurement is carried out using p-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair of sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV, recorded with the ALICE detector at the CERN LHC and utilizing the detector material as an absorber for antideuterons and antiprotons. The extracted raw primary antiparticle-to-particle ratios are compared to the results from detailed ALICE simulations based on the geant4 toolkit for the propagation of (anti)particles through the detector material. The analysis of the raw primary (anti)proton spectra serves as a benchmark for this study, since their hadronic interaction cross sections are well constrained experimentally. The first measurement of the inelastic cross section for antideuteron-nucleus interactions averaged over the ALICE detector material with atomic mass numbers ⟨A⟩=17.4 and 31.8 is obtained. The measured inelastic cross section points to a possible excess with respect to the Glauber model parametrization used in geant4 in the lowest momentum interval of 0.3≤p<0.47 GeV/c up to a factor 2.1. This result is relevant for the understanding of antimatter propagation and the contributions to antinuclei production from cosmic ray interactions within the interstellar medium. In addition, the momentum range covered by this measurement is of particular importance to evaluate signal predictions for indirect dark-matter searches.

The crossed-leg position increases the dimensions within the acoustic target window for neuraxial needle placement in term pregnancy: a prospective observational study. Int J Obstet Anesth 2020; 44:106-111. Abstract
INTRODUCTION Neuraxial anesthesia in obstetric patients may be difficult to achieve due to anatomical changes in pregnancy. The crossed-leg position may help in optimizing patient position. We prospectively evaluated the utility of the crossed-leg position compared with a standard position using ultrasound measurements. METHODS Thirty women with term singleton pregnancy admitted for vaginal delivery were recruited. Women with a history of spinal trauma or surgery, congenital spinal abnormality, advanced first stage of labor or a language barrier were excluded. Two anesthesiologists, blinded to each other's measurements, scanned each subject in the crossed-leg position and standard position. Measurements of the lengths of the posterior longitudinal ligament, ligamentum flavum and interlaminar distance were recorded at the L3-L4 interspace. Comfort level in each position was scored on a Likert Scale. RESULTS Twenty-nine women completed the study (complete data n=28). Significant increases were observed in the lengths of the posterior longitudinal ligament (mean difference 2.2 mm, 95% CI 1.3 to 3.2; P <0.001), ligamentum flavum (mean difference 1.4 mm, 95% CI 0.7 to 2.1; P <0.001) and interlaminar distance (mean difference 1.4 mm, 95% CI 0.4 to 2.5; P=0.006) in the crossed-leg position. No significant differences in comfort were observed. CONCLUSION We demonstrated a significant increase in the sonographically measured lengths of the posterior longitudinal ligament, ligamentum flavum and interlaminar distance in the crossed-leg position when compared with the standard position. Both positions were comfortable. Further studies should explore whether these findings translate clinically into easier needle placement in the crossed-leg position.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To analyse smoking behaviour in patients suffering from non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pulmonary TB (PTB).METHODS: The study population comprised 421 inpatients newly diagnosed with NSCLC, COPD and PTB at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing, China, and 362 healthy individuals (controls) recruited from September 2016 to March 2017. All participants were current smokers. After enrolment, the subjects were invited to participate in face-to-face interviews to complete the self-designed questionnaire. A follow-up survey was performed 2 years later.RESULTS: Two years after being diagnosed, patients with NSCLC, COPD and PTB had smoking cessation rates of respectively 76.8%, 62.8% and 63.7%. The cessation rate was only 10.2% in the control group (P < 0.01). The difficulty of smoking cessation after diagnosis in patients with the three diseases was significantly decreased (P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: The smoking cessation rate among participants suffering from NSCLC, COPD and PTB increased after diagnosis compared with that before diagnosis, and was significantly higher than the control group of healthy individuals.

Probing the Effects of Strong Electromagnetic Fields with Charge-Dependent Directed Flow in Pb-Pb Collisions at the LHC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2020; 125:022301. Abstract
The first measurement at the LHC of charge-dependent directed flow (v_{1}) relative to the spectator plane is presented for Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. Results are reported for charged hadrons and D^{0} mesons for the transverse momentum intervals p_{T}>0.2 GeV/c and 3<p_{T}<6 GeV/c in the 5%-40% and 10%-40% centrality classes, respectively. The difference between the positively and negatively charged hadron v_{1} has a positive slope as a function of pseudorapidity η, dΔv_{1}/dη=[1.68±0.49(stat)±0.41(syst)]×10^{-4}. The same measurement for D^{0} and D[over ¯]^{0} mesons yields a positive value dΔv_{1}/dη=[4.9±1.7(stat)±0.6(syst)]×10^{-1}, which is about 3 orders of magnitude larger than the one of the charged hadrons. These measurements can provide new insights into the effects of the strong electromagnetic field and the initial tilt of matter created in noncentral heavy ion collisions on the dynamics of light (u, d, and s) and heavy (c) quarks. The large difference between the observed Δv_{1} of charged hadrons and D^{0} mesons may reflect different sensitivity of the charm and light quarks to the early time dynamics of a heavy ion collision. These observations challenge some recent theoretical calculations, which predicted a negative and an order of magnitude smaller value of dΔv_{1}/dη for both light flavor and charmed hadrons.

Abstract
The first evidence of spin alignment of vector mesons (K^{*0} and ϕ) in heavy-ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is reported. The spin density matrix element ρ_{00} is measured at midrapidity (|y|<0.5) in Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy (sqrt[s_{NN}]) of 2.76 TeV with the ALICE detector. ρ_{00} values are found to be less than 1/3 (1/3 implies no spin alignment) at low transverse momentum (p_{T}<2 GeV/c) for K^{*0} and ϕ at a level of 3σ and 2σ, respectively. No significant spin alignment is observed for the K_{S}^{0} meson (spin=0) in Pb-Pb collisions and for the vector mesons in pp collisions. The measured spin alignment is unexpectedly large but qualitatively consistent with the expectation from models which attribute it to a polarization of quarks in the presence of angular momentum in heavy-ion collisions and a subsequent hadronization by the process of recombination.

Abstract
In the 21st century, human civilization has witnessed three major epidemics caused by Coronaviruses namely severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS CoV) in 2003, Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS CoV) in 2012 and 2019 novel coronavirus (2019 nCoV) or coronavirus disease (COVID 19) in 2019. Among these, COVID-19 has greater transmission and mortality rate. 2019 nCoV belongs to a large family of positive sense single-stranded RNA viruses (+ssRNA) that can be isolated in different animal species. The most communal symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, and shortness of breath during the incubation period (2-14 days) of infection. COVID-19 transmission is occurring from infected humans to close contact with one another through respiratory droplets, coughs, and sneezes of infected person. Moreover, the virus containing surfaces may also transmit the infection. Diagnosis is being carried out by collecting a nasopharyngeal swab or sputum specimen for detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Rapid diagnosing methods are also under development which can diagnose COVID 19 in few minutes to hours. Currently, there is no specific cure or preventive therapeutics available. Hence, based upon limited in-vitro and anecdotal data, Chloroquine, or Hydroxychloroquine, Remdesivir, Lopinavir and Ritonavir are being employed in the management. Search for new specific anti-viral drugs from natural/synthetic origins is under full swing and many of them are currently used as chemotherapeutic drugs under clinical investigation. Yet, there is a strong need for development of vaccine, which may take several months to few years for the development.

Abstract
Abstract
Introduction
The gold standard for treatment of Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). However, CPAP adherence is less than 50%. An alternative treatment is the hypoglossal nerve stimulator (HNS) which displaces the tongue anteriorly to treat upper airway obstruction. Difficulties tolerating HNS are related to stimulation discomfort. In this study, we investigated insomnia as a barrier to adherence.
Methods
Patients implanted and activated with HNS at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center between 2015 and 2019 were eligible. Patient usage data from the previous six months was obtained and subjects were asked to complete an Insomnia Severity Index (ISI). Participants were divided into adherent (defined as use ≥28 hours/week) and non-adherent (use <28 hours/week).
Results
32 subjects were enrolled, 22 in the adherent group and 10 in the non-adherent group. There was a significant decrease in mean treatment AHI in both groups: 36.25 to 11.14 in the adherent group and 36.30 to 15.69 in the non-adherent group (p<0.0001). The mean ISI score in the adherent group was 6.84 which is consistent with no clinically significant insomnia and 8.67 in the non-adherent group consistent with subthreshold insomnia. However, there was not a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p=0.441). There was a statistically significant higher score for the question “Do you worry about your sleep problems?” in the non-adherent group (1.78, SD1.39 vs 0.74. SD 0.81) (p =0.018).
Conclusion
This study suggests that patients who have difficulty with sleep may have more difficulty with HNS adherence than those who do not. In particular the question stating “Do you worry about your sleep problems” had a statistically higher score in the non-adherent group. Prospective studies are needed to further explore a possible relationship between insomnia and HNS adherence.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Prevention of ischaemic stroke and cardiovascular events is an established benefit of statin therapy, but the effects of statin treatment on the accrual of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) markers of ischaemic cerebral injury remain unknown. A systematic review was performed to identify all studies that randomized patients with cardiovascular risk factors to statin treatment and assessed the effect of statin treatment on covert infarcts (asymptomatic, evident only on neuroimaging) and white matter hyperintensity (WMH) accrual on MRI. METHODS A systematic review in MEDLINE and Scopus from inception to 23 October 2019 was performed. A random-effects model was used to calculate the pooled estimates of the crude risk ratios and standardized mean differences. RESULTS Data from three randomized controlled trials (1430 participants) were included evaluating the effect of rosuvastatin (10 mg/day) in 668 hypertensive patients older than 60 years of age over 5 years, pravastatin (40 mg/day) in 554 elderly people more than 70 years of age over 3 years and simvastatin (20 mg/day) in 208 patients with asymptomatic middle cerebral artery stenosis over 2 years. Patients randomized to statin treatment had decreased accrual of new covert infarcts (risk ratio 0.63, 95% confidence interval 0.46-0.88) during a mean follow-up of 2-6 years. Only one study reported WMH decreased volume change in patients randomized to statin treatment compared to patients randomized to non-statin treatment (standardized mean difference -1.17; 95% confidence interval -1.33, -1.00). CONCLUSION Our findings suggest that, in addition to stroke prevention, statin treatment can reduce the accrual of covert MRI markers of ischaemic cerebral injury.

Abstract
The study of the strength and behavior of the antikaon-nucleon (K[over ¯]N) interaction constitutes one of the key focuses of the strangeness sector in low-energy quantum chromodynamics (QCD). In this Letter a unique high-precision measurement of the strong interaction between kaons and protons, close and above the kinematic threshold, is presented. The femtoscopic measurements of the correlation function at low pair-frame relative momentum of (K^{+}p⊕K^{-}p[over ¯]) and (K^{-}p⊕K^{+}p[over ¯]) pairs measured in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=5, 7, and 13 TeV are reported. A structure observed around a relative momentum of 58 MeV/c in the measured correlation function of (K^{-}p⊕K^{+}p[over ¯]) with a significance of 4.4σ constitutes the first experimental evidence for the opening of the (K[over ¯]^{0}n⊕K^{0}n[over ¯]) isospin breaking channel due to the mass difference between charged and neutral kaons. The measured correlation functions have been compared to Jülich and Kyoto models in addition to the Coulomb potential. The high-precision data at low relative momenta presented in this work prove femtoscopy to be a powerful complementary tool to scattering experiments and provide new constraints above the K[over ¯]N threshold for low-energy QCD chiral models.

Abstract
Over the last decade, research has intensified worldwide on the use of low-temperature plasmas in medicine and healthcare. Researchers have discovered many methods of applying plasmas to living tissues to deactivate pathogens; to end the flow of blood without damaging healthy tissue; to sanitize wounds and accelerate its healing; and to selectively kill malignant cancer cells. This review paper presents the latest development of advanced and plasma-based technologies used for applications in neurology in particular. Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), an aided institute of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), has also developed various technologies in some of these areas. One of these is an Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet (APPJ). This device is being studied to treat skin diseases, for coagulation of blood at faster rates and its interaction with oral, lung, and brain cancer cells. In certain cases, in-vitro studies have yielded encouraging results and limited in-vivo studies have been initiated. Plasma activated water has been produced in the laboratory for microbial disinfection, with potential applications in the health sector. Recently, plasmonic nanoparticle arrays which allow detection of very low concentrations of chemicals is studied in detail to allow early-stage detection of diseases. IPR has also been developing AI-based software called DeepCXR and AIBacilli for automated, high-speed screening and detection of footprints of tuberculosis (TB) in Chest X-ray images and for recognizing single/multiple TB bacilli in sputum smear test images, respectively. Deep Learning systems are increasingly being used around the world for analyzing electroencephalogram (EEG) signals for emotion recognition, mental workload, and seizure detection.

Abstract
Background The objective of this study investigated the distribution of immature dendritic cells (DCs), Langerhans cells and plasmacytoid DCs in oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF), OSMF associated with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSMF-OSCC), oral leukoplakia (OL), and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).
Material and Methods Fourteen cases of OSMF, 9 of OSMF-OSCC, 8 of OL¸ 45 of OSCC and 8 of normal epithelium were retrospectively retrieved and their diagnoses confirmed. Immunoreactions against CD1a, CD207 e CD303 were performed and the number of positive cells quantified.
Results A significant decrease of CD1a+ was found in OSMF (p≤0.05), OSMF-OSCC (p ≤ 0.01), and OSCC (p ≤ 0.001) when compared to normal epithelium. For CD207+ the significance decrease was observed in OSMF-OSCC (p ≤ 0.05), and OSCC (p ≤ 0.01) when compared with normal epithelium, and in OSMF when compared with OL (p ≤ 0.05). There was no significant difference for CD303, but increased in CD303+ was observed in OSCC when compared with normal epithelium.
Conclusions The decrease in the number of CD1a+ and CD207+ cells may be associate to the development of oral OSCC, and in OPMDs they might be indicators of malignant transformation. Key words:Premalignant lesions, oral submucous fibrosis, oral squamous cell carcinoma, immune response.

Abstract
The first measurement of the ϒ(1S) elliptic flow coefficient (v_{2}) is performed at forward rapidity (2.5<y<4) in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The results are obtained with the scalar product method and are reported as a function of transverse momentum (p_{T}) up to 15 GeV/c in the 5%-60% centrality interval. The measured ϒ(1S)v_{2} is consistent with 0 and with the small positive values predicted by transport models within uncertainties. The v_{2} coefficient in 2<p_{T}<15 GeV/c is lower than that of inclusive J/ψ mesons in the same p_{T} interval by 2.6 standard deviations. These results, combined with earlier suppression measurements, are in agreement with a scenario in which the ϒ(1S) production in Pb-Pb collisions at LHC energies is dominated by dissociation limited to the early stage of the collision, whereas in the J/ψ case there is substantial experimental evidence of an additional regeneration component.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite the high prevalence of skin complaints in primary care and secondary care, dermatology undergraduate (UG) education remains inconsistent across medical schools. The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) published a revised national UG curriculum in 2016 to guide UK medical schools on the minimum competencies required in dermatology. AIM The aim of the study was to determine the alignment of the BAD UG curriculum with the dermatology curriculum of the University of Nottingham School of Medicine. METHODS A curriculum mapping study was undertaken with the development of an electronic searchable database tool to map key areas. RESULTS Of the 70 intended learning outcomes (ILOs) for dermatology in the medical school, 55 (79%) were mapped to the BAD curriculum, while 14 (20%) required modifications to align them with the BAD ILOs. Two BAD ILOs were unspecified in the current curriculum, and one was deemed redundant. CONCLUSION Curriculum mapping is a useful tool to standardize local dermatology ILOs to national recommendations and provides transparency to stakeholders for implementation of the dermatology curriculum.

Abstract
Measurements of anisotropic flow coefficients (v_{n}) and their cross-correlations using two- and multiparticle cumulant methods are reported in collisions of pp at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, p-Pb at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV, Xe-Xe at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.44 TeV, and Pb-Pb at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV recorded with the ALICE detector. The multiplicity dependence of v_{n} is studied in a very wide range from 20 to 3000 particles produced in the midrapidity region |η|<0.8 for the transverse momentum range 0.2<p_{T}<3.0 GeV/c. An ordering of the coefficients v_{2}>v_{3}>v_{4} is found in pp and p-Pb collisions, similar to that seen in large collision systems, while a weak v_{2} multiplicity dependence is observed relative to nucleus-nucleus collisions in the same multiplicity range. Using a novel subevent method, v_{2} measured with four-particle cumulants is found to be compatible with that from six-particle cumulants in pp and p-Pb collisions. The magnitude of the correlation between v_{n}^{2} and v_{m}^{2}, evaluated with the symmetric cumulants SC(m,n) is observed to be positive at all multiplicities for v_{2} and v_{4}, while for v_{2} and v_{3} it is negative and changes sign for multiplicities below 100, which may indicate a different v_{n} fluctuation pattern in this multiplicity range. The observed long-range multiparticle azimuthal correlations in high multiplicity pp and p-Pb collisions can neither be described by pythia 8 nor by impact-parameter-Glasma, music, and ultrarelativistic quantum molecular dynamics model calculations, and hence, provide new insights into the understanding of collective effects in small collision systems.

Comparative evaluation of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay, GeneXpert MTB/Rif and multiplex PCR for the diagnosis of tubercular lymphadenitis in HIV-infected patients of North India. Abstract
BACKGROUND Tubercular lymphadenitis (TBLA) is one of the most common extrapulmonary manifestations of tuberculosis in patients with HIV. With several other pathological conditions presenting as lymphadenitis and lack of consensus regarding a gold standard test, the diagnosis of TBLA remains a challenge for the clinician. OBJECTIVES and design: In this study, we have assessed the potential of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) test for the diagnosis of TBLA in HIV-infected patients. The study group included samples collected by fine needle aspiration (FNAC) of lymph nodes from 24 HIV-infected patients with TBLA. A composite reference standard was used to identify cases of TBLA based on clinical suspicion, results of cytology, AFB smear, MGIT culture, GeneXpert MTB/RIF, multiplex polymerase chain reaction (MPCR) and subsequently clinical response to antitubercular therapy. These tests were also carried out in 26 control samples of lymph node FNAC from HIV-infected patients with non-tubercular lymphadenitis. RESULTS LAMP assay was positive in 19/24 TBLA cases and yielded a sensitivity of 79.17% with 100% specificity. Cytology was suggestive in 18/24 (75%) TBLA cases. GeneXpert MTB/RIF assay correctly identified 16/24 TBLA cases, but the test did show one false positive result reducing its specificity. MPCR had the highest sensitivity of 91.67% as it correctly identified 22/24 cases and showed no false positive result. CONCLUSION The current study highlights the potential of LAMP test for the specific diagnosis of tubercular lymphadenitis in FNAC samples from HIV-infected patients, especially when cytology is either non-conclusive or non-available. Though MPCR had a higher sensitivity than LAMP assay, the added advantages of low cost, minimal technical expertise and simplicity of procedure make LAMP assay a suitable diagnostic test in resource-limited settings.

Abstract
This Letter presents the first experimental observation of the attractive strong interaction between a proton and a multistrange baryon (hyperon) Ξ^{-}. The result is extracted from two-particle correlations of combined p-Ξ^{-}⊕p[over ¯]-Ξ[over ¯]^{+} pairs measured in p-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV at the LHC with ALICE. The measured correlation function is compared with the prediction obtained assuming only an attractive Coulomb interaction and a standard deviation in the range [3.6, 5.3] is found. Since the measured p-Ξ^{-}⊕p[over ¯]-Ξ[over ¯]^{+} correlation is significantly enhanced with respect to the Coulomb prediction, the presence of an additional, strong, attractive interaction is evident. The data are compatible with recent lattice calculations by the HAL-QCD Collaboration, with a standard deviation in the range [1.8, 3.7]. The lattice potential predicts a shallow repulsive Ξ^{-} interaction within pure neutron matter and this implies stiffer equations of state for neutron-rich matter including hyperons. Implications of the strong interaction for the modeling of neutron stars are discussed.

P11.05 Reappraisal of CNS embryonal tumors, not otherwise specified and RELA fusion negative supratentorial ependymomas using immunohistochemistry and sequencing for BCOR. Neuro Oncol 2019. Abstract
Abstract
BACKGROUND
BCl2 co-repressor (BCOR) gene internal tandem duplications have recently been identified as the defining molecular alteration in a subset of central nervous system (CNS) high grade neuroepithelial tumors (CNS-HGNET). Their clinicopathological profile is yet to be fully elucidated with available data being largely derived from case reports and small case series. Reported cases presented in young children with a male preponderance, were located predominantly in the posterior fossa, and sometimes but not always showed an ependymoma-like morphology. BCOR protein overexpression and exon 15 internal tandem duplications were characteristic. These tumors associated with a poor overall survival.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
We designed a retrospective study (2002–2019) wherein all cases of CNS embryonal tumors, not otherwise specified (NOS), by definition lacking C19MC locus amplification and Lin28A protein expression, and supratentorial ependymomas (ST-EPN), NOS, lacking RELA and YAP1 fusions and L1CAM protein expression were retrieved and subject to immunohistochemistry for BCOR. Those tumors showing nuclear expression of BCOR were subject to sequencing of exon 15 of BCOR gene.
RESULTS
A total of 19 CNS embryonal tumors, NOS, constituting 86% of all CNS embryonal tumors other than medulloblastomas and atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumors, and 11 ST-EPN, NOS constituting 30% of all ST EPNs, were included. Diffuse nuclear staining for BCOR was seen in 6 tumors, including two patients with CNS embryonal tumor, NOS (10 year old male with spinal cord mass; 5-year-old female with left frontal mass) and 4 patients with ST-EPN-NOS (median age 15 years, ranging from 10–28 years, all females). While the CNS embryonal tumors showed high grade small round cell morphology, the remaining showed ependymoma-like morphology, but with increased cellularity and focal to diffuse membranous expression of epithelial membrane antigen and cytokeratins unlike ependymomas. Among these four patients, one was disease free at last follow-up at 17 months, while the remaining suffered recurrences within a median time duration of 26 months after diagnosis (24 months - 36 months).
CONCLUSION
The clinicopathological spectrum of BCOR-altered CNS tumors appears to be wider than that described in literature. We describe BCOR alterations in a subset of ependymoma-like tumors in older children and young adults with a striking female preponderance. BCOR alterations need to be studied on a broad spectrum of pediatric and adults CNS tumors to aid in better understanding of its true prevalence and biological significance.

Abstract
The current classification of both diabetes and antidiabetes medication is complex, preventing a treating physician from choosing the most appropriate treatment for an individual patient, sometimes resulting in patient-drug mismatch. We propose a novel, simple systematic classification of drugs, based on their effect on adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is the master regular of energy metabolism, an energy sensor, activated when cellular energy levels are low, resulting in activation of catabolic process, and inactivation of anabolic process, having a beneficial effect on glycemia in diabetes. This listing of drugs makes it easier for students and practitioners to analyze drug profiles and match them with patient requirements. It also facilitates choice of rational combinations, with complementary modes of action. Drugs are classified as stimulators, inhibitors, mixed action, possible action, and no action on AMPK activity. Metformin and glitazones are pure stimulators of AMPK. Incretin-based therapies have a mixed action on AMPK. Sulfonylureas either inhibit AMPK or have no effect on AMPK. Glycemic efficacy of alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, sodium glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor, colesevelam, and bromocriptine may also involve AMPK activation, which warrants further evaluation. Berberine, salicylates, and resveratrol are newer promising agents in the management of diabetes, having well-documented evidence of AMPK stimulation medicated glycemic efficacy. Hence, AMPK-based classification of antidiabetes medications provides a holistic unifying understanding of pharmacotherapy in diabetes. This classification is flexible with a scope for inclusion of promising agents of future.

Abstract
Abstract
Objective
To examine baseline differences in neuropsychological performance between long-term stable mild cognitive impairment (sMCI) and those who convert from MCI to dementia (cMCI), hypothesizing sMCI will perform better on memory measures. While conversion has been previously examined, none examined sMCI with over 10 years follow-up.
Method
Data from the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center were used. Participants were defined as sMCI (n = 29) if cognitive status was MCI at first visit and at least 9 subsequent visits (10 total) and cMCI (n = 1887) if cognitive status was MCI at first visit and the participant converted to dementia at any subsequent visit. Participants with any history of stroke, traumatic brain injury, alcohol or drug abuse, or other neurological disorder were excluded. Participants completed neuropsychological measures of global cognition, immediate and delayed verbal memory, working memory, mental manipulation, semantic fluency, processing speed, and confrontational naming. Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Geriatric Depression Scale. The Mann-Whitney-U non-parametric test was used to compare both groups at baseline on all measures. Predictors of sMCI were explored using binomial logistic regression.
Results
Participants did not differ significantly in age, level of education, or depressive symptoms. Comparison between groups at baseline indicate sMCI participants performed significantly better than cMCI on global cognition U = 13673,p < .001, delayed verbal memory U = 14549,p < .001, and semantic fluency U = 15538.5,p < .001. Of these significant measures, none predicted sMCI.
Conclusions
As hypothesized, sMCI performed better on delayed verbal memory, but also semantic fluency and global cognition, though none predicted sMCI. Future research must examine neuropsychological measures of other cognitive domains and their predictive value.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Classic findings of intracranial hypotension on MR imaging, such as brain stem slumping, can be variably present and, at times, subjective, potentially making the diagnosis difficult. We hypothesize that the angle between the cerebral peduncles correlates with the volume of interpeduncular cistern fluid and is decreased in cases of intracranial hypotension. We aimed to investigate its use as an objective assessment for intracranial hypotension. MATERIALS AND METHODS Brain MRIs of 30 patients with intracranial hypotension and 30 age-matched controls were evaluated by 2 fellowship-trained neuroradiologists for classic findings of intracranial hypotension and the interpeduncular angle. Group analysis was performed with a Student t test, and receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to identify an ideal angle threshold to maximize sensitivity and specificity. Interobserver reliability was assessed for classic findings of intracranial hypotension using the Cohen κ value, and the interpeduncular angle, using the intraclass correlation. RESULTS The interpeduncular angle had excellent interobserver reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient value = 0.833) and was significantly lower in the intracranial hypotension group compared with the control group (25.3° versus 56.3°; P < .001). There was significant correlation between the interpeduncular angle and the presence of brain stem slumping (P < .001) and in cases with ≥3 classic features of intracranial hypotension (P = .01). With a threshold of 40.5°, sensitivity and specificity were 80% and 96.7%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The interpeduncular angle is a sensitive and specific measure of intracranial hypotension and is a reliably reproducible parameter on routine clinical MR imaging.
