Abstract
An 85-year-old woman underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for obstructive jaundice. Selective bile duct cannulation was unsuccessful because of periampullary diverticula (PAD). A pancreatic spontaneous dislodgement stent (PSDS) (5F diameter, 3 cm, straight type) was inserted to prevent post-ERCP pancreatitis. Three days after ERCP, she complained of abdominal pain, and computed tomography revealed retroperitoneal perforation because of PSDS migration to the PAD. If the papillary orifice is observed at the diverticular rim or in the diverticula, a pigtailed PSDS on the duodenal side or flanged stent on the pancreatic ductal side should be inserted in order to prevent this rare adverse event.

Abstract
The genetic factors affecting the natural history of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), including the development of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and NASH-derived hepatocellular carcinoma (NASH-HCC), are still unknown. In the current study, we sought to identify genetic factors related to the development of NAFLD, NASH, and NASH-HCC, and to establish risk-estimation models for them. For these purposes, 936 histologically proven NAFLD patients were recruited, and genome-wide association (GWA) studies were conducted for 902, including 476 NASH and 58 NASH-HCC patients, against 7,672 general-population controls. Risk estimations for NAFLD and NASH were then performed using the SNPs identified as having significant associations in the GWA studies. We found that rs2896019 in PNPLA3 [p = 2.3x10-31, OR (95%CI) = 1.85 (1.67–2.05)], rs1260326 in GCKR [p = 9.6x10-10, OR (95%CI) = 1.38(1.25–1.53)], and rs4808199 in GATAD2A [p = 2.3x10-8, OR (95%CI) = 1.37 (1.23–1.53)] were significantly associated with NAFLD. Notably, the number of risk alleles in PNPLA3 and GATAD2A was much higher in Matteoni type 4 (NASH) patients than in type 1, type 2, and type 3 NAFLD patients. In addition, we newly identified rs17007417 in DYSF [p = 5.2x10-7, OR (95%CI) = 2.74 (1.84–4.06)] as a SNP associated with NASH-HCC. Rs641738 in TMC4, which showed association with NAFLD in patients of European descent, was not replicated in our study (p = 0.73), although the complicated LD pattern in the region suggests the necessity for further investigation. The genetic variants of PNPLA3, GCKR, and GATAD2A were then used to estimate the risk for NAFLD. The obtained Polygenic Risk Scores showed that the risk for NAFLD increased with the accumulation of risk alleles [AUC (95%CI) = 0.65 (0.63–0.67)]. Conclusions: We demonstrated that NASH is genetically and clinically different from the other NAFLD subgroups. We also established risk-estimation models for NAFLD and NASH using multiple genetic markers. These models can be used to improve the accuracy of NAFLD diagnosis and to guide treatment decisions for patients.

Abstract
Our research goal is to measure the 7Be(d, p) reaction to shed light on the 7Li problem in the Big-Bang Nucleosynthesis. We are developing an unstable 7Be target for a high-resolution measurement of the 7Be(d, p)8Be reaction. We plan to compare two methods to producethe 7Be target: (1) Activation method, and (2) Implantation method. We performed an activation methodexperiment at the Van de Graaff at Osaka University, and obtained the cross-section data. A second experiment to obtain more accurate data will take place at the Tandem Electrostatic Accelerator, Kobe University. We have also made a 7Be target with implantation method at CRIB, Center for Nuclear Study, Univer-sity of Tokyo. An experiment to measure the (d, p) reaction with the implanted target is scheduled for 2018 at Japan Atomic Energy Agency, tandem facility.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Recently we reported novel noninvasive scoring systems for diagnosing nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and related fibrosis, namely FM-NASH index and FM-fibro index. They are highly accurate, however, they contain some items not widely used in clinical practice and require six or more items to diagnose both NASH and related fibrosis. By focusing on widely used items, we tried to identify convenient markers in common with the both diagnoses. METHODS To explore the markers for NASH and related fibrosis in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients, we used data of 24 clinical items in our previous report. By logistic regression analysis, we identified items suitable for the both diagnoses. We then evaluated their accuracies by area under the receiver operator characteristic curves (AUROCs) on independent validation data. RESULTS We identified the combination of type IV collagen 7S and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) as the predictor both for NASH and related fibrosis. We developed a scoring system based on the combination and evaluated the prediction accuracy: the AUROCs for training/validation data sets are 0.857/0.769 for NASH and 0.918/0.842 for NASH-related fibrosis. The former was higher than that of NAFIC score, and the latter was higher than those of existing fibrosis markers: BARD score, FIB-4 index and NAFLD fibrosis score but lower than FM-fibro index. CONCLUSIONS The scoring system using type IV collagen 7S and AST named CA index can predict both NASH and related fibrosis in NAFLD patients with sufficient accuracy and could be a convenient diagnostic and screening tool for NASH and related fibrosis. The scoring system needs to be validated in independent larger populations from multiple clinical centers.

Abstract
The gamma strength function and level density of 1^{-} states in ^{96}Mo have been extracted from a high-resolution study of the (p[over →], p[over →]^{'}) reaction at 295 MeV and extreme forward angles. By comparison with compound nucleus γ decay experiments, this allows a test of the generalized Brink-Axel hypothesis in the energy region of the pygmy dipole resonance. The Brink-Axel hypothesis is commonly assumed in astrophysical reaction network calculations and states that the gamma strength function in nuclei is independent of the structure of the initial and final state. The present results validate the Brink-Axel hypothesis for ^{96}Mo and provide independent confirmation of the methods used to separate gamma strength function and level density in γ decay experiments.

Abstract
AIM To investigate daclatasvir (DCV) and asunaprevir (ASV) efficacy in hepatitis C (HCV) patients, with respect to resistance-associated substitutions (RASs).
METHODS A total of 392 HCV-infected patients from multiple centers were included in this study. We evaluated their clinical courses and sustained virologic responses (SVR) according to pretreatment factors (gender, age, history of interferon-based regimens, platelet counts, level of viremia, pretreatment NA5A:L31, and Y93 substitutions). We also analyzed the pretreatment and post-treatment major RASs of NS3:D168, NS5A:L31 and Y93 substitutions using a direct-sequencing method in 17 patients who were unable to achieve SVR at 12 wk after treatment completion (SVR12).
RESULTS The overall SVR12 rate was 88.3%. Thirty-one patients discontinued treatment before 24 wk because of adverse events, 23 of whom achieved SVR12. There were no significant differences in SVR12 rates with respect to gender, age, history of interferon-based regimens, and platelet counts. The SVR12 rate in patients with viral loads of ≥ 6.0 log IU/mL was significantly lower than those with viral loads of < 6.0 log IU/mL (P < 0.001). The SVR12 rate in patients with Y93 substitution-positive was significantly lower than those with Y93 substitution-negative (P < 0.001). The L31 substitution-positive group showed a lower SVR12 rate than the L31 substitution-negative group, but the difference was not statistically significant. Seventeen patients who did not achieve SVR12 and had available pretreatment and post-treatment sera had additional RASs in NS3:D168, NS5:L31, and Y93 substitution at treatment failure.
CONCLUSION Combination of DCV and ASV is associated with a high SVR rate. Baseline RASs should be thoroughly assessed to avoid additional RASs after treatment failure.

Abstract
AIM Transient elastography (TE) is a non-invasive method for predicting liver fibrosis. However, there are limited data regarding the performance of TE in Japanese patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). We aimed to evaluate the association between liver stiffness measurement (LSM) by TE and liver fibrosis stage, and define a cut-off value for predicting liver fibrosis. METHODS A total of 171 Japanese patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD underwent LSM using TE with FibroScan. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of LSM and other non-invasive markers of liver fibrosis were compared to determine the most accurate method of predicting liver fibrosis. RESULTS Liver stiffness measurement significantly correlated with fibrosis stage (P < 0.001). The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve of LSM for fibrosis stage ≥1 and ≥3 was 0.85 and 0.91, respectively and were higher than those of the aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase ratio, aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index, fibrosis-4 index, and NAFLD fibrosis score. The best cut-off values of LSM fibrosis stage ≥1 and ≥3 were 7.2 kPa (sensitivity 78.5%, specificity 78.3%) and 10.0 kPa (sensitivity 89.5%, specificity 87.6%), respectively. The combination of LSM (≥10 kPa) and type IV collagen 7 s (≥6.0 ng/mL) had a specificity of 97.6% for advanced fibrosis. The LSM in patients with high alanine aminotransferase levels or high body mass index was associated with false positive results regarding advanced fibrosis. CONCLUSIONS In NAFLD patients, TE has excellent utility for the assessment of liver fibrosis, particularly for advanced stage cases. The cut-off value of LSM by TE for predicting liver fibrosis stage ≥3 is 10.0 kPa in Japanese NAFLD patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND & AIMS Anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) therapy by interferon (IFN)-free regimen with oral direct-acting antiviral drugs are tolerable in aged patients, with fewer adverse effects than IFN-based therapies. We investigated the efficacy and tolerability of an IFN-free anti-HCV therapy in extremely aged patients, as well as the survival benefit of sustained virologic response (SVR). METHODS Following IFN-free therapy with daclatasvir and asunaprevir, tolerability and SVR rate were compared between 115 HCV genotype 1-infected patients aged 80years or older, 151 patients in their 70s (⩾70 and <80years), and 115 patients under the age of 70. One-year mortality and morbidity in patients aged ⩾80years were compared between SVR patients and propensity score-matched patients with persistent HCV infection. RESULTS The SVR rate was 96.5% in patients ⩾80years, comparable to that in patients aged ⩾70 and <80years (95.4%) and patients aged <70years (93.9%). There were no differences in treatment discontinuation rate (2.6%, 1.3%, and 0.9%, respectively). One-year mortality was significantly lower in SVR patients (2.7%) than in patients with persistent HCV infection (15.3%, p=0.0016). Whereas 1-year mortality due to liver-related diseases was 8.1% in patients with persistent HCV infection who were aged ⩾80years, no SVR patients died from liver diseases within 1-year after the end of therapy. CONCLUSIONS IFN-free therapy for HCV infection was associated with high tolerability and antiviral efficacy, even in patients aged ⩾80years. In addition, there seemed to be a survival benefit from the eradication of HCV in this population. LAY SUMMARY IFN-free therapy with oral direct-acting antiviral drugs (daclatasvir and asunaprevir) for HCV infection showed similar tolerability and antiviral efficacy in patients aged ⩾80years as in younger patients (patients aged ⩾70 and <80years and patients aged <70years), with an SVR rate over 90% and no severe adverse effects. There was a survival benefit from the eradication of HCV even in patients aged ⩾80years.

Abstract
AIM Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) can progress to non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). We investigated the association among serum type IV collagen level, liver histology, and other fibrosis markers in NAFLD progression. METHODS We evaluated 184 patients diagnosed with NAFLD following biopsy, including 89 males and 95 females with an average age of 52.6 and 62.6 years, respectively. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease was classified as NAFL or NASH using Matteoni's classification, and the grade and stage of NASH were assessed using Brunt's classification. Serum type IV collagen was measured by a rapid and sensitive latex particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay. RESULTS Forty-two patients with NAFL and 142 patients with NASH were included in this study. Compared with patients with NAFL, patients with NASH showed more significant liver function disorder and increased expression of fibrosis markers including type IV collagen, collagen 7S, Mac2-binding protein (M2BP), and hyaluronic acid (HA). Expression of type IV collagen and collagen 7S, but not M2BP and HA, was more significantly elevated in patients with stage 1 NASH than in patients with NAFL, indicating that type IV collagen and collagen 7S may be better discriminators of NASH and NAFL than M2BP and HA at an early stage of fibrosis. When patients were stratified by NAFLD activity score, type IV collagen and collagen 7S were significantly elevated as NAFLD activity score progressed, whereas M2BP and HA expression were not significantly elevated. CONCLUSION Type IV collagen may be a useful measure of NASH severity as latex particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay-based rapid type IV collagen assay can be carried out routinely.

Abstract
AIM We analyzed the 5-year post-treatment response to peginterferon α-2a (PEG IFN-α-2a) in hepatitis B e-antigen (HBeAg) positive and negative chronic hepatitis B patients. METHODS One hundred and thirty-seven chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients receiving 90 μg or 180 μg of PEG IFN-α-2a for 24 or 48 weeks in phase II or III studies were enrolled in the study, including 100 HBeAg positive patients and 37 HBeAg negative patients; 121 patients (88.4%) had genotype C. RESULTS Of the 137 patients, 94 received additional antiviral therapy because of viral reactivation and 43 did not receive any additional antiviral treatment during follow up. Five years upon PEG IFN-α-2a treatment, 32 patients (23.4%) who did not receive any additional antiviral agent after PEG IFN-α-2a therapy achieved a good response (normal serum alanine aminotransferase, low-level hepatitis B virus [HBV] DNA, and HBeAg negativity). Female sex and low HBV DNA levels by the end of treatment were independently associated with favorable 5-year post-treatment responses. Forty-eight-week administration of PEG IFN-α-2a showed a better response (26.4%) than 24-week administration (18.0%). Six patients (4.3%), four males and two females, cleared hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) during the 5-year follow-up period. CONCLUSION The 48-week administration of PEG IFN-α-2a achieved better biochemical and virological responses than the 24-week administration, particularly in younger females. The 5-year post-treatment response rate was 23.4%; however, more than two-thirds of the patients received additional antiviral therapy because of viral reactivation after PEG IFN-α-2a treatment. HBsAg clearance was noted in six patients (4.3%). PEG IFN-α-2a is effective in young female patients.

Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to assess and compare the sensitivity of power Doppler sonography, contrast-enhanced sonography, plain computed tomography (CT), and dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for detecting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) nodules incompletely treated with transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE). METHODS A total of 63 unresectable HCC nodules were examined in this study. The HCCs were treated with TAE. All patients underwent plain CT, power Doppler sonography, contrast-enhanced harmonic power Doppler sonography, and dynamic MRI 1 week after TAE. The sensitivity of each modality to incompletely treated HCC nodules was compared. Detection of the residual viable HCC on angiography or tumor biopsy was regarded as the gold standard for the diagnosis of incomplete treatment. RESULTS Twenty-four nodules (38%) were diagnosed as incompletely treated. The sensitivities of plain CT, power Doppler sonography, contrast-enhanced harmonic power Doppler sonography, and dynamic MRI to these incompletely treated nodules were 42% (10/24), 46% (11/24), 88% (21/24), and 79% (19/24), respectively. Eighty percent (19 nodules) of the 24 incompletely treated nodules were located within a depth of less than 8 cm. The sensitivities of plain CT, power Doppler sonography, contrast-enhanced harmonic power Doppler sonography, and dynamic MRI to these superficial incompletely treated nodules were 37% (7/19), 53% (10/19), 100% (19/19), and 74% (14/19), respectively. In contrast, the sensitivities of each modality to deeply located nodules were 60% (3/5), 20% (1/5), 40% (2/5), and 100% (5/5), respectively. CONCLUSION Plain CT and power Doppler sonography had a low sensitivity to HCC nodules incompletely treated with TAE. Except for those that were deeply located, contrast-enhanced harmonic sonography showed the highest sensitivity in detecting incompletely treated HCC nodules.

Abstract
As the prevalence of lifestyle-related diseases increases, the number of individuals who have abnormal liver function test results with negative HBs antigen and anti-HCV(non-B non-C liver diseases) has been increasing. Non-B non-C liver diseases consist mainly of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and al- coholic liver disease. Non-B non-C liver cancers have been increasing in number. The identification of individuals with high risks of liver cancer is crucial for their early diagnosis and treatment. Among NAFLD individuals, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) patients with advanced liver fibrosis have a high risk of non-B non-C liver cancers. For the diagnosis of NASH with advanced liver fibrosis, useful parameters are as follows: 1) high value of liver fibrosis markers, such as type 4 collagen 7S, 2) low platelet count (lower than 19 X 104/pL), 3) high value using a scoring system, such as the NAFLD fibrosis score and FIB-4 index, 4) high stiffness value measured by elastography, 5) advanced age, and 6) comorbidity of 3 or 4 types of lifestyle-related diseases. Alcohol drinkers consuming more than 60 g of ethanol a day are at risk of liver cancer. Obesity and diabetes mellitus are also risk factors. Individuals as described above are at risk of non-B non-C liver cancers. AFP is unlikely to show a high value in NASH liver cancer. Regular examination (every 6 months) with sonography and PIVKA-II is rec- ommended for the early diagnosis of non-B non-C liver cancers.

Abstract
UNLABELLED It is important that patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) are diagnosed and treated early to prevent serious complications, such as liver cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma. However, current methods for NASH diagnosis are invasive given that they rely on liver biopsy, making early diagnosis difficult. In this study, we developed novel noninvasive markers for the diagnosis of NASH and NASH-related fibrosis. A total of 132 Japanese patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease were included in this study. Blood samples were collected, and 261 biomolecules were quantified in serum. Using cluster and pathway analyses, we identified biomolecule modules connected to biological events that occur with disease progression to NASH. The modules were used as variables for diagnosis, leading to a NASH diagnostic marker associated with two biological events, that is, protective response to hepatic steatosis and hepatitis-causing innate immune response. Regarding the NASH-related fibrosis marker, immunological responses to hepatocyte injury were identified as a biological event. To develop diagnostic markers for NASH and NASH-related fibrosis, specific biomolecules were selected from each biomolecule module. The former marker was obtained by averaging the levels of four biomolecules, whereas the latter was obtained by averaging the levels of two biomolecules. Both markers achieved a diagnostic accuracy of almost 0.9 of the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, and the latter exhibited equivalent performance in an independent group of 62 prospectively recruited patients. CONCLUSION We developed highly accurate markers for the diagnosis of both NASH and NASH-related fibrosis (i.e., FM-NASH index and FM-fibro index, respectively). These markers may be used as an alternative diagnostic tool to liver biopsy.

Abstract
AIM To compare efficacy of telaprevir (TVR) and simeprevir (SMV) combined with pegylated interferon (PEG-IFN) and ribavirin (RBV) while treating chronic hepatitis C (CHC). METHODS In all, 306 CHC patients were included in this study. There were 159 patients in the TVR combination therapy group and 147 patients in the SMV combination therapy group. To evaluate pretreatment factors contributing to sustained virological response at 12 wk (SVR12), univariate and multivariate analyses were performed in TVR and SMV groups. To adjust for patient background between TVR and SMV groups, propensity score matching was performed. Virological response during treatment and SVR12 were evaluated. RESULTS Overall rates of SVR12 [undetectable serum hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA levels] were 79.2% and 69.4% in TVR and SMV groups, respectively. Patients in the SMV group were older, had higher serum HCV RNA levels, lower hemoglobin, higher prevalence of unfavorable interleukin-28B (IL28B) genotype (rs8099917), and poorer response to previous PEG-IFN and RBV treatment. Propensity score matching was performed to adjust for backgrounds (n = 104) and demonstrated SVR12 rates of 74.0% and 73.1% in the TVR and SMV groups, respectively. In the TVR group, discontinuation rates were higher because of adverse events; however, breakthrough and nonresponse was more frequent in the in SMV group. Multivariate analysis revealed IL28B genotype (rs8099917) as the only independent predictive factor of SVR12 in both groups. CONCLUSION SVR12 rates were almost identical following propensity score matching.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Host genetic factors have been suspected to influence histological liver damage in chronic liver disease. The nonsynonymous single-nucleotide polymorphism rs738409 C > G in the patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing 3 gene (PNPLA3, also known as adiponutrin), encoding the I148 M protein variant, has been identified as a novel genetic marker for hepatic steatosis and fibrosis in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and alcoholic liver disease. We aimed to determine whether the PNPLA3 rs738409 variant was associated with hepatic steatosis, necroinflammation, and fibrosis in Japanese patients with chronic hepatitis C. METHODS In a cross-sectional study in Japan, we analyzed 276 patients with chronic hepatitis C who underwent liver biopsy. Genotyping for rs738409 was performed using the TaqMan genotyping assay. RESULTS The frequencies of the rs738409 CC, CG, and GG genotypes were 32.6, 46.4, and 21.0 %, respectively. Multivariate analysis revealed that the GG genotype was independently associated with the presence of steatosis [odds ratio (OR) 2.58, 95 % confidence interval (CI) 1.37-4.84, p = 0.003], severe necroinflammatory activity (OR 2.16, 95 % CI 1.12-4.16, p = 0.02), and advanced fibrosis (OR 2.10, 95 % CI 1.07-4.11, p = 0.03), after adjustment for age, sex, body mass index, and diabetes. CONCLUSIONS The PNPLA3 rs738409 variant influences histological liver damage in Japanese patients with chronic hepatitis C. The G allele homozygotes are at higher risk for hepatic steatosis, severe necroinflammation, and advanced fibrosis.

Abstract
AIM Although non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the hepatic manifestation of metabolic syndrome, the clinical association between non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and lifestyle-related diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension (HT) and dyslipidemia (DL) has not been clarified. We studied the influence of lifestyle-related diseases and age on the development and progression of NAFLD. METHODS We enrolled 550 patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD (284 men, 266 women; average age, 52 and 62 years, respectively). The effect of lifestyle-related diseases and age (≤49 vs ≥50 years) on the frequency of NASH and advanced fibrosis (≥stage 3) was studied. RESULTS Prevalence of obesity, DM, HT and DL in male and female NASH patients was 75%/67%, 53%/54%, 66%/77% and 85/79%, respectively. DM patients had a higher frequency of NASH in the older male NAFLD group and a higher frequency of advanced fibrosis in the older female NASH group. With the increasing number of complicating lifestyle-related diseases, the rate of NASH increased in male NAFLD patients. In both sexes, aging resulted in the development of NASH and progression of liver fibrosis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that age and DM were significantly associated with the development of NASH in male NAFLD patients and progression of fibrosis in female NASH patients. CONCLUSION Age is strongly associated with the development and progression of NASH. Type 2 DM may play the most crucial role among lifestyle-related diseases in the development and progression of NASH.

Abstract
AIM Sorafenib is the standard systemic therapy for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of sorafenib therapy in very elderly patients aged 80 years and older with advanced HCC. METHODS In a retrospective multicenter study in Japan, we reviewed 185 patients (median age, 71 years; 82% male; 95% Child-Pugh class A) with advanced HCC who received sorafenib therapy. Data were compared between 24 (13%) patients aged 80 years and older and 161 (87%) patients aged less than 80 years. We used propensity score matching to adjust for differences between the two groups. RESULTS Median overall survival was 10.6 months in all patients: 11.7 months in patients aged 80 years and older and 10.5 months in those aged less than 80 years. There were no significant differences in overall survival, tumor response, and frequency and severity of drug-related adverse events between patients aged 80 years and older and those aged less than 80 years in both the entire study cohort and the propensity-matched cohort. CONCLUSION Sorafenib may be effective and well tolerated, even in patients with advanced HCC who are aged 80 years and older, as well as those aged less than 80 years.

Abstract
Neutron activation cross sections for Bi and Co at 386 MeV were measured by activation method. A quasi-monoenergetic neutron beam was produced using the (7)Li(p,n) reaction. The energy spectrum of these neutrons has a high-energy peak (386 MeV) and a low-energy tail. Two neutron beams, 0° and 25° from the proton beam axis, were used for sample irradiation, enabling a correction for the contribution of the low-energy neutrons. The neutron-induced activation cross sections were estimated by subtracting the reaction rates of irradiated samples for 25° irradiation from those of 0° irradiation. The measured cross sections were compared with the findings of other studies, evaluated in relation to nuclear data files and the calculated data by Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System code.
