Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the medium and long term outcomes of tension-free mid-urethral sling in the treatment of female patients with mixed urinary incontinence (MUI). METHODS Twenty-six patients who underwent the tension-free mid-urethral sling procedure for MUI from April, 2010 to September, 2016, were followed up. Four of the 26 patients underwent retropubic tension free mid-urethral sling (TVT), and 22 of them underwent transurethral middle obturator sling (TOT). Scales were used in the follow-up, such as urinary incontinence severity score (UISS), detrusor instability score (DIS), incontinence quality of life scale evaluation (I-QOL), Urogenital Distress Inventory short form (UDI-6), and the outcomes before and after the procedure were compared. RESULTS The mean age was 62 years, with a range of 42-80 years. The mean body mass index (BMI) was 26.82 kg/m2, with a range of 21.48-31.14 kg/m2. The mean follow-up time was 26 months, with a range of 8-69 months. Twelve patients never took M-blockers and the rest 14 patients took M-blockers within two weeks. None of the patients had complications, including dysuria, injury of bladder, urethra, obturator vessel or nerve during the surgery. After pulling out the catheter, no one suffered moderate or severe pain or difficulty of urination. The overall cure rate for stress urinary incontinence (SUI) was 96.15% with 25 patients cured, and for urge urinary incontinence (UUI) was 76.92% with 20 patients cured. The patients' life quality also improved significantly (P<0.05). CONCLUSION Ten of the 26 patients showed an overactive bladder according to urodynamic study, from whom all of the six failed patient were. And 16 patients didn't show an overactive bladder, which may due to two reasons. One is that their sense of urge is not so serious, the other one is that their sense of urge is from urethra. Proximal urethra is full of nerve, which plays a role in sense and urine control. The sense of urge may come from urethra instead of bladder. tension-free mid-urethral sling procedure is an effective treatment for women with mixed urinary incontinence. Even without taking the M-blockers, the cure rate for urge incontinence reached 76.92%. The efficacy of surgery remained stable in medium and long term, and the patients' quality of life improved significantly.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the factors affecting the vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). METHODS Totaly 298 women who underwent trial of labor after cesarean section (TOLAC) from Jan 2015 to Dec 2015 were recruited from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, FuXing Hospital, Tongzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Beijing, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and the People's Hospital of Chengyang District of Qingdao. The maternal age, the interval from the last cesarean section, the body mass index (BMI) before pregnancy, the weight gain during pregnancy, the way into labor, the Bishop score before labor, the gestational age and the birth weight of the neonate were recorded in a self-made form. The factors affecting VBAC were analyzed by univariate analysis and multivariable logistic regression. RESULTS (1)The incidence of VBAC, uterine rupture, postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal asphyxia were 70.5% (210/298), 2.7% (8/298), 9.4% (28/298) and 1.3% (4/298), respectively. No maternal death and perinatal death occurred. (2)The univariate analysis suggested that the maternal age, the BMI before pregnancy, the Bishop score before labor, the labor induction, the gestational age at delivery and the neonatal weight were factors affecting VBAC. The maternal age and the Bishop score before labor were significantly higher in the VBAC group than in the unsuccessful TOLAC group(P<0.05). While the BMI before pregnancy, the induction rate, the gestational weeks at delivery and the birth weight of the neonate were significantly lower in the VBAC group than in the unsuccessful TOLAC group (P<0.05). Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that successful VBAC was affected by the maternal age, the BMI before pregnancy, the Bishop score before labor and the birth weight of the neonates(P<0.05). CONCLUSION The maternal age, the BMI before pregnancy, the Bishop score before labor and the birth weight of neonate are the main factors affecting VBAC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate age related changes in urodynamic parameters of women with urinary incontinence. METHODS From May 2008 to October 2015, a total of 214 patients diagnosed with urinary incontinence in Peking University People's Hospital was involved in this study. Average age was (56.97±10.68) years, ranging from 30 to 82 years, and average history was (8.44±8.85) years, ranging from one month to 50 years. Urodynamic examinations of each patient were taken before operation routinely in Department of Urology, Peking University People's Hospital. The urodynamic study was composed of non-invasive and invasive procedures. Analysis included maximal flow rate (Qmax), average flow rate, time to Qmax, voiding time, detrusor pressure at Qmax, maximal detrusor pressure, voided volume, post-void residual urine volume (PVR), the total capacity of bladder, first-, strong-, and urge-desire to void, cough leak point pressure (CLPP), and Valsalva leak point pressure (VLPP). Patients were divided into four groups according to age, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and one-way ANOVA were used for data analysis. RESULTS A total of 214 patients were enrolled in this study. The data of Qmax, average flow rate, voided volume, and total capacity of bladder decreased with statistical significance. The value of residual urine volume and voiding time increased without statistical significance, while the value of maximal detrusor pressure decreased. CONCLUSION Urodynamic examination data of females with urinary incontinence changes along with the elapse of age, which was mainly observed as age ascends, and the changes in urodynamic parameters of women with urinary incontinence suggest that the value of Qmax, average flow rate, voided volume, and total capacity of bladder decreased significantly, while the value of PVR and the voiding time increased and the value of maximal detrusor pressure decreased.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the changing trends in Gleason score (GS) of Chinese prostate carcinoma (PCa) from January 1995 to December 2014. METHODS In the study, 875 patients admitted to hospital from January 1995 to December 2004 (1995-2004) and from January 2005 to December 2014 (2005-2014) were divided into two groups. The mean levels and proportions of GS, primary and secondary grades were studied. The patients were divided into four groups according to age: <60, 60-69, 70-79 and ≥80 years. Types of specimen included needle biopsy (NB), transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and radical prostatectomy (RP). Histological types were made up by acinar carcinoma and other types (including atrophic, pseudohyperplastic, foam, signet ring cell and ductal carcinoma, and so on). The total prostate-specific antigen (tPSA) involved groups of <20.0 μg/L and ≥20.0 μg/L. We observed the mean levels and proportions of GS in age, types of specimen, histological types and total prostate-specific antigen in different periods, and used SPSS 17.0 software for statistical analysis. RESULTS Compared with 1995-2004, the mean levels of GS, primary and secondary grades decreased 0.32 (P=0.003), 0.19 (P=0.001) and 0.12 (P=0.016) in 2005-2014, respectively. The proportions of ≤6 in GS increased 10.9% (P=0.003), and ≥8 decreased 14.0% (P<0.001). The difference of GS 7 was not statistically significant. In the primary grade, the ratio of grades≤3 increased 12.8% (P=0.001), and grade 4 decreased 7.4% (P=0.037), grade 5 decreased 5.5% (P=0.007). The ratio of secondary grades ≤3 increased 7.6% (P=0.037). The difference of grades 4 and 5 was not statistically significant. CONCLUSION GS in Chinese patients with PCa showed a downward trend, which is one of the notable features in the past 20 years in China. The types of specimen and age are important factors in GS, while the histological types and tPSA have less impact on the GS.

Abstract
Nitric oxide synthase (NOS) produces nitric oxide (NO) by catalyzing the conversion of l-arginine to l-citrulline, with the concomitant oxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. Recently, various studies have verified the importance of NOS invertebrates and invertebrates. However, the NOS gene family in the oriental river prawn Macrobrachium nipponense is poorly understood. In this study, we cloned the full-length NOS complementary DNA from M. nipponense (MnNOS) and characterized its expression pattern in different tissues and at different developmental stages. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) showed the MnNOS gene to be expressed in all investigated tissues, with the highest levels observed in the androgenic gland (P < 0.05). Our results revealed that the MnNOS gene may play a key role in M. nipponense male sexual differentiation. Moreover, RT-qPCR revealed that MnNOS mRNA expression was significantly increased in post-larvae 10 days after metamorphosis (P < 0.05). The expression of this gene in various tissues indicates that it may perform versatile biological functions in M. nipponense.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the impact of preoperative urodynamic study on the diagnosis and treatment for female patients with clinical diagnosis of stress urinary incontinence by studying their diagnosis and treatment database, and to assess its clinical significance of urodynamic study. METHODS From April 2011 to December 2015, 196 female patients diagnosed clinically with stress urinary incontinence underwent preoperative urodynamics study, after excluding pelvic organ prolapse. The preoperative urodynamic data of these 196 cases were analyzed and the clinical significance of urodynamics on differential diagnosis and treatment for the female patients with stress urinary incontinence was evaluated. RESULTS In this study, 23 cases (11.73%) changed or amended their diagnoses by the urodynamic study, which were inconsistent with the previous clinical diagnoses concluded by the symptoms, physical examinations, and lab tests. A total of 10 cases underwent a different surgery or conservative treatment instead of the original treatment according to urodynamic study. Of them, 3 were diagnosed as detrusor overactive and undertook conservative treatment; 3 were diagnosed as bladder outlet obstruction plus stress urinary incontinence and were undertaken the transurethral resection of the bladder neck (TURBN) plus tension free vaginal tape (TVT); 2 were diagnosed as bladder outlet obstruction plus stress urinary incontinence and were undertaken TURBN alone; 1 was diagnosed as bladder outlet obstruction plus stress urinary incontinence and was undertaken TURBN plus tension free vaginal tape obturator (TOT); 1 was found no abnormal bladder function turned out to be interstitial cystitis and went for a bladder instillation of drug. The changed treatments avoided the risk of dysuria or residual urine increased after operation due to inappropriate surgical methods. CONCLUSION In order to make a correct diagnosis and suitable treatment for female patients with stress urinary incontinences, the preoperative urodynamic study is necessary besides detailed medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests. With the help of the urodynamic study, the concomitant diseases of patients with stress urinary incontinence may be detected, the individualized treatment regimen can be developed, and more importantly, the inappropriate surgical decision can be avoided.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare the clinical efficacy of different treatments based on radical surgery in stage Ⅰ b2 and Ⅱ a2 cervical cancer through prospective randomized controlled study. METHODS A total of 133 patients with stage Ⅰ b2 and Ⅱ a2 cervical cancer treated at Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Capital Medical University during January 2009 to December 2012 were enrolled and randomly assigned to receive one of the following three treatments: preoperative intracavitary irradiation(PII)group, radical hysterectomy(RH)group, and neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)group. Operation method included uterine extensive resection, pelvic lymph node excision, with or without para-aortic lymph node resection. The recent curative effect and side effect of preoperative treatment were observed. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, surgical complications, postoperative pathological risk factors and postoperative adjuvant therapy and side effect, the survival situation were evaluated among the 3 groups. RESULTS (1)The response rates were 88%(37/42)and 82%(37/45)respectively of the PII group and NACT group. The difference was insignificant(P=0.528). Side effects were less in the PII group. Only 5 patients(12% , 5/42)had slight gastrointestinal reaction. Myelosuppression and gastrointestinal reaction in NACT group were 76%(34/45)and 67%(30/45)respectively, which were more serious than that in group PII group(P<0.05).(2)Intraoperative blood loss and operation time in PII group [(678± 239)ml and(181±39)minutes]and NACT group [(625±137)ml and(168±25)minutes]had a decreasing trend compared with that in RH group [(711 ± 319)ml and(202 ± 64)minutes], but the differences were no significant(P >0.05). NACT group could shorten operation time compared with the RH group(P <0.05). The lymph node metastases rate were 30%(14/46), 29%(12/42)and 29%(13/45)and the deep stromal invasion rate were 22%(10/46), 31%(13/42)and 31%(14/45)in RH group, PII group and NACT group respectively(all P>0.05). The lymph-vascular space involvement(LVSI)in NACT group was significantly lower than that in RH group [31%(14/45)vs 57%(26/46), P=0.015]. The number of patients with histological risk factors in NACT group was higher thanthat in RH group [27%(12/45)vs 9%(4/46), P= 0.024]. All surgery were successfully completed and no treatment-related deaths occurred in three groups. The incidence of 3-4 grade adverse reactions evaluated by the common terminology criteria for adverse event(CTCAE)was 13%(6/46), 14%(6/42), 18%(8/45)in RH group, PII group and NACT group respectively(P=0.855). Three-year disease free survival(PFS)were 74.0%, 78.5% and 80.0%, and 3-year overall survival(OS)were 80.4%, 83.3% and 84.4% in RH group, PII group and NACT group respectively(all P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS The recent curative effect of PII and NACT were similar. They couldn't improve 3-year of PFS and OS of the patients with Ⅰb2 and Ⅱa2 stage cervical cancer. But NACT can reduce the operation difficulty and can reduce the incidence of postoperative pathological risk factors, which could reduce postoperative adjuvant therapy.

Abstract
AIM: To investigate clarithromycin resistance positions 2142, 2143 and 2144 of the 23SrRNA gene in Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) by nested-allele specific primer-polymerase chain reaction (nested-ASP-PCR).
METHODS: The gastric tissue and saliva samples from 99 patients with positive results of the rapid urease test (RUT) were collected. The nested-ASP-PCR method was carried out with the external primers and inner allele-specific primers corresponding to the reference strain and clinical strains. Thirty gastric tissue and saliva samples were tested to determine the sensitivity of nested-ASP-PCR and ASP-PCR methods. Then, clarithromycin resistance was detected for 99 clinical samples by using different methods, including nested-ASP-PCR, bacterial culture and disk diffusion.
RESULTS: The nested-ASP-PCR method was successfully established to test the resistance mutation points 2142, 2143 and 2144 of the 23SrRNA gene of H. pylori. Among 30 samples of gastric tissue and saliva, the H. pylori detection rate of nested-ASP-PCR was 90% and 83.33%, while the detection rate of ASP-PCR was just 63% and 56.67%. Especially in the saliva samples, nested-ASP-PCR showed much higher sensitivity in H. pylori detection and resistance mutation rates than ASP-PCR. In the 99 RUT-positive gastric tissue and saliva samples, the H. pylori-positive detection rate by nested-ASP-PCR was 87 (87.88%) and 67 (67.68%), in which there were 30 wild-type and 57 mutated strains in gastric tissue and 22 wild-type and 45 mutated strains in saliva. Genotype analysis showed that three-points mixed mutations were quite common, but different resistant strains were present in gastric mucosa and saliva. Compared to the high sensitivity shown by nested-ASP-PCR, the positive detection of bacterial culture with gastric tissue samples was 50 cases, in which only 26 drug-resistant strains were found through analyzing minimum inhibitory zone of clarithromycin.
CONCLUSION: The nested-ASP-PCR assay showed higher detection sensitivity than ASP-PCR and drug sensitivity testing, which could be performed to evaluate clarithromycin resistance of H. pylori.

Abstract
Ulcerative foot infection is a chronic complication frequently seen in diabetic patients, and can result in disability. To evaluate insulin pump treatment for type 2 diabetes in combination with ulcerative foot infection, we selected 168 diabetic patients who developed foot ulcers and received treatment from April 2012 to April 2014 in the Peoples Hospital of Zhengzhou, Henan, China. The patients were divided into a treatment group and a control group, 84 in each group. Besides anti-infection treatment, patients in the control group were given multiple subcutaneous insulin injection (MSII), while patients in the treatment group were given continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII). Ulcer area, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), C-reactive protein (CRP) and count of white blood cells (WBC) were recorded before treatment, one week after treatment, two weeks after treatment and four weeks after treatment; moreover, ulcer healing condition was recorded four weeks after treatment and the related factors were analyzed. Patients in the treatment group showed an obviously narrowed ulcer area two and four weeks after treatment (P less than 0.05) and significantly lowered levels of FPG, CRP and WBC in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd weeks after treatment (P less than 0.05); four weeks after treatment, 88.1% of patients in the treatment group and 66.7% in the control group had healed well, and the difference between two groups was statistically significant (χ2=5.509, P=0.019). Multi-factor logistic regression analysis indicated that levels of FPG, CRP and WBC at baseline and four weeks after treatment had a positive correlation to ulcer healing (P less than 0.05). All the above findings suggest that insulin pump can improve ulcer healing of patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers as it effectively controls blood glucose level, restrains inflammatory reaction and prevents spreading of infection.

Abstract
Flexible organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are emerging as a leading technology for rollable and foldable display applications. For the development of high-performance flexible OLEDs on plastic substrate, we report a transparent nanocomposite electrode with superior mechanical, electrical, and optical properties, which is realized by integrating the nanoimprinted quasi-random photonic structures into the ultrathin metal/dielectric stack to collectively optimize the electrical conduction and light outcoupling capabilities. The resulting flexible OLEDs with green emission yield the enhanced device efficiency, reaching the maximum external quantum efficiency of 43.7% and luminous efficiency of 154.9 cd/A, respectively.

Abstract
The oriental river prawn, Macrobrachium nipponense, is an important aquaculture species in China. The androgenic gland produces hormones that play crucial roles in the differentiation of crustaceans to the male sex. MicroRNA (miRNA) post-transcriptionally regulates many protein-coding genes, influencing important biological and metabolic processes. However, currently, there is no published data identifying miRNA in M. nipponense. In this study, we identified novel miRNA in the androgenic gland of M. nipponense. Using the high-throughput Illumina Solexa system, 1077 miRNA were identified from small RNA libraries by aligning with the de novo androgenic gland transcriptome of M. nipponense (obtained from RNA-Seq) and the sequences in the miRBase21 database. A total of 8,248, 76,011, and 78,307 target genes were predicted in the EST and SRA sequences provided in the NCBI database, and the androgenic gland transcriptome of M. nipponense, respectively. Some potential sex-related miRNA were identified based on the function of the predicted target genes. The results of our study provide new information regarding the miRNA expression in M. nipponense, which could be the basis for further genetic studies on decapod crustaceans.

Abstract
Kinship testing of a father and his son from Guangxi, China, the location of the Zhuang minority people, was performed using the PowerPlex® 18D System with a short tandem repeat typing kit. The results indicated that both the father and his son had an off-ladder allele at the Penta D locus, with a genetic size larger than that of the maximal standard allelic ladder. To further identify this locus, monogenic amplification, gene cloning, and genetic sequencing were performed. Sequencing analysis demonstrated that the fragment size of the Penta D-OL locus was 469 bp and the core sequence was [AAAGA]21, also called Penta D-21. The rare Penta D-21 allele was found to be distributed among the Zhuang population from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China; therefore, this study improved the range of DNA data available for this locus and enhanced our ability for individual identification of gene loci.

Abstract
The clinical effect of electroacupuncture on depression is widely recognized. However, the signal transduction pathways and target proteins involved remain unclear. In the present study, rat models of chronic restraint stress were used to explore the mechanism by which electroacupuncture alleviates depression. Rats were randomly divided into control, model, and electroacupuncture groups. Chronic restraint stress was induced in the model and electroacupuncture groups by restraining rats for 28 days. In the electroacupuncture group, electroacupuncture pretreatment at Baihui (GV20) and Yintang (GV29) acupoints was performed daily (1 mA, 2 Hz, discontinuous wave, 20 minutes) prior to restraint for 28 days. Open field tests and body weight measurements were carried out to evaluate the depressive symptoms at specific time points. On day 28, the crossing number, rearing number, and body weights of the model group were significantly lower than those in the control group. Behavior test results indicated that rat models of depressive-like symptoms were successfully established by chronic restraint stress combined with solitary raising. On day 28, an isobaric tag for a relative and absolute quantitation-based quantitative proteomic approach was performed to identify differentially expressed proteins in hippocampal samples obtained from the model and electroacupuncture groups. The potential function of these differential proteins was predicted through the use of the Cluster of Orthologous Groups of proteins (COG) database. Twenty-seven differential proteins (uncharacteristic proteins expected) were selected from the model and electroacupuncture groups. In addition to unknown protein functions, COG are mainly concentrated in general prediction function, mechanism of signal transduction, amino acid transport and metabolism groups. This suggests that electroacupuncture improved depressive-like symptoms by regulating differential proteins, and most of these related proteins exist in nerve cells.

Abstract
Low dimensional nanostructures have attracted attention due to their rich physical properties and potential applications. The essential factor for their functionality is their electronic properties, which can be modified by quantum confinement. Here the electronic states of Gd atom trapped in open Fe corrals on Ag(111) were studied via scanning tunneling spectroscopy. A single spectroscopic peak above the Fermi level is observed after Gd adatoms are trapped inside Fe corrals, while two peaks appear in empty corrals. The single peak position is close to the higher energy peak of the empty corrals. These findings, attributed to quantum confinement of the corrals and Gd structures trapped inside, are supported by tight-binding calculations. This demonstrates and provides insights into atom trapping in open corrals of various diameters, giving an alternative approach to modify the properties of nano-objects.

Abstract
Increasing evidence suggests that the insulin-like androgenic gland hormone (IAG) gene plays an important role in male sexual differentiation, metabolism, and growth in crustaceans. In the present study, we isolated the full-length genome sequence of IAG by genome walking based on the cDNA sequence in Macrobrachium nipponense. Four novel single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were studied, including 509G>T, 529G>T, 590A>T in intron 1, and 2226A>G in intron 2. The association of genetic variation with growth traits [body length (BL) and body weight (BW)] was analyzed. Individuals with GG geno- type at locus 2226A>G maintained higher mean BL (P < 0.01) and BW (P < 0.05) than AA and GA individuals. These results suggest that IAG SNPs may be useful molecular markers for selecting growth traits in M. nipponense.

Abstract
Broad-Complex (BR-C) is an early ecdysone-responsive gene encoding a family of zinc-finger transcription factors. In this study, we isolated the full-length cDNA of a BR-C homolog from the testes of the oriental river prawn (Macrobrachium nipponense), according to established expressed sequence tag information, using the rapid amplification of cDNA ends technique. The homolog was designated as MnBR-C. The full-length cDNA of MnBR-C contained a 1095-bp open reading frame encoding a precursor protein of 365 amino acid residues. Comparative and bioinformatic analyses revealed that MnBR-C exhibited a high degree of homology with BR-C proteins, and contained the BTB and Zf-H2C2-2 domains. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) analysis revealed that the MnBR-C expression level varied significantly in the developing embryo, postembryonic larva, and adult tissue. Real-time qPCR showed that the MnBR-C gene was expressed in all of the tissues investigated, with the highest level of expression in the brain. In addition, MnBR-C was more abundantly expressed in the testes than in the ovaries.

Abstract
An enterovirus 71 (EV71) vaccine for the prevention of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HMFD) is available, but it is not known whether the EV71 vaccine cross-protects against Coxsackievirus (CV) infection. Furthermore, although an inactivated circulating CVA16 Changchun 024 (CC024) strain vaccine candidate is effective in newborn mice, the CC024 strain causes severe lesions in muscle and lung tissues. Therefore, an effective CV vaccine with improved pathogenic safety is needed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the in vivo safety and in vitro replication capability of a noncirculating CVA16 SHZH05 strain. The replication capacity of circulating CVA16 strains CC024, CC045, CC090 and CC163 and the noncirculating SHZH05 strain was evaluated by cytopathic effect in different cell lines. The replication capacity and pathogenicity of the CC024 and SHZH05 strains were also evaluated in a neonatal mouse model. Histopathological and viral load analyses demonstrated that the SHZH05 strain had an in vitro replication capacity comparable to the four CC strains. The CC024, but not the SHZH05 strain, became distributed in a variety of tissues and caused severe lesions and mortality in neonatal mice. The differences in replication capacity and in vivo pathogenicity of the CC024 and SHZH05 strains may result from differences in the nucleotide and amino acid sequences of viral functional polyproteins P1, P2 and P3. Our findings suggest that the noncirculating SHZH05 strain may be a safer CV vaccine candidate than the CC024 strain.

Abstract
This study utilized high-throughput RNA sequencing technology to identify reproduction- and development-related genes of Macrobrachium nipponense by analyzing gene expression profiles of testis and ovary. More than 20 million 1 x 51-bp reads were obtained by Illumina sequencing, generating more than 7.7 and 11.7 million clean reads in the testis and ovary library, respectively. As a result, 10,018 unitags were supposed to be differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between ovary and testis. Compared to the ovary library, 4563 (45.5%) of these DEGs exhibited at least 6-fold upregulated expression, while 5455 (54.5%) DEGs exhibited at least 2-fold downregulated expression in the testis. The Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis showed that 113 GO terms had potential molecular functions in reproduction. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes results revealed that the most important pathways may be relevant to reproduction and included 7 pathways. Forty-two genes were identified as reproduction-, development-, and sex-related genes based on GO classification and sequence comparison with other publications, including male reproductive-related LIM protein, spermatogenesis-associated protein, gametocyte-specific factor 1, VASA-like protein, vitellogenin, sex-determining protein fem-1, and other potential candidates. These results will advance research in the field of molecular genetics in M. nipponense and offer a valuable resource for further research related to reproduction in crustaceans.

Abstract
The inhibitor of apoptosis family member livin is expressed in several types of cancer but not in most benign tissues, and it has been considered to be a poor prognostic mark in various malignancies. However, livin expression and its prognostic relevance have not been evaluated in colorectal adenoma-carcinoma sequence. In this study, we analyzed the difference of livin expression among normal mucosa, adenoma, and adenocarcinoma and investigated the relationship of livin expression in carcinomas with clinicopathological variables using immunohistochemistry and real-time reverse transcription-PCR. We observed that the expression of livin protein was mainly present on base of colorectal crypts in adenoma and throughout the epithelium in carcinoma, whereas did not present in accompanying normal mucosa, and the expression of livin messenger RNA (mRNA) in adenocarcinomas was significantly higher than in adenomas and in normal mucosa (P = 0.001, respectively), whereas, compared with normal mucosa, the expression level of livin mRNA was up-regulated in adenomas but no significant difference (P = 0.196). We also found that the expression levels of livin mRNA in rectal cancer was significantly higher than those in colonic cancer, and livin mRNA expression was strongly related to colorectal cancer invasive depth but not to clinical tumor stage, differentiation, lymph node metastasis, tumor morphological category and pathological type, and patient's age and gender. These findings support the possibility that the livin gene may play a role in colorectal tumorigenesis, and increased expression of livin mRNA may serve as a new target for colorectal cancer treatment.

Abstract
The structural and magnetic properties of nanostructured Co-rich transition-metal alloys, Co(100-x)TMx (TM = Hf, Zr and 10 ≤ x ≤ 18), were investigated. The alloys were prepared under non-equilibrium conditions using cluster-deposition and/or melt-spinning methods. The high-anisotropy HfCo7 and Zr2Co11 structures were formed for a rather broad composition region as compared to the equilibrium bulk phase diagrams, and exhibit high Curie temperatures of above 750 K. The composition, crystal structure, particle size, and easy-axis distribution were precisely controlled to achieve a substantial coercivity and magnetization in the nanostructured alloys. This translates into high energy products in the range of about 4.3-12.6 MGOe, which are comparable to those of alnico.
