Abstract
Objective: To explore the related mechanisms of biological root resorption in decidual teeth by studying the biological effect of simulated occlusal force on the periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSC) at different stages of root absorption. Methods: According to the tooth type and root absorption degree, healthy retained deciduous incisors and healthy first premolars that needed to be removed for orthodontic treatment were collected and divided into three groups with six teeth in each group: the deciduous unabsorbed group (UN group), the absorbed group (R group) and the permanent teeth group (P group). PDLSC was isolated from periodontal ligament and cultured. PDLSC of three groups were loaded with dynamic pressure of 0-45, 0-90, 0-135, 0-180, 0-225 and 0-270 kPa, respectively. The proliferation ability was detected by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) technique on day 1 to day 7, respectively. The apoptosis levels of PDLSC after loading with dynamic pressure of 0-45, 0-90, 0-135, 0-180 and 0-225 kPa were observed by the flow cytometry. The changes of microfilaments were observed by fibrous actin (F-actin) staining after the cytokeleton was subjected to dynamic pressure of 0-90 kPa. Results: PDLSC of three groups exhibited various proliferation abilities to dynamic pressure. The A values in the UN group and R group were significantly higher than those in the P group and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the UN group and the R group (P>0.05). The A values of PDLSC in UN group and R group under dynamic pressures of 0-45, 0-90, 0-135 and 0-180 kPa had no statistical significance compared with the control group unloading dynamic pressure (P>0.05). However, under 0-225 and 0-270 kPa dynamic pressures, the A values at the day 3 to day 7 were statistically significant (P<0.05). The A values of PDLSC in P group under 0-45, 0-90, 0-135, 0-180 and 0-225 kPa dynamic pressures for 1 to 7 days were no statistically significant difference compared with the control group (P>0.05). The A value in P group under the 0-270 kPa was statistically significant only on day 3 (1.386±0.131) and day 5 to day 7 (1.728±0.226, 2.029±0.168 and 2.263±0.210, respectively)(P<0.05). The result of apoptosis showed that the A values of PDLSC in UN group, R group and P group were significantly increased under 0-90, 0-135, 0-180 kPa and above dynamic pressures, respectively (P<0.05) compared with the control group unloading dynamic pressure. Under 0-90 kPa dynamic pressure, F-actin fluorescence staining samples in three groups all showed green filaments which were arranged along the long axis of the cells in the R group and the P group, while some fibers in the UN group were closely arranged and promoted stress fiber assembly. Conclusions: The biological characteristics of PDLSC at different root absorption stages were changed when they were stimulated by mechanical stress, and PDLSC of the deciduous teeth at the root unabsorption stage were more sensitive to mechanical stress stimulation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the changes of CaM-CaMK-CREB signaling pathway and related neuron factors in hippocampus of rats after sevoflurane and propofol administration. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 90 SD rats, half male and half female, were selected. They were randomized into anesthesia group (AG) and control group (CG), in which 30 rats under propofol anesthesia in the AG were included in group A, 30 rats under sevoflurane anesthesia were included in group B, and 30 rats under mixed ventilation of air and oxygen were included in the CG. Before (10 rats were killed in each group) and at the end of anesthesia (2 weeks of anesthesia and 7 days of Morris water maze test), rats were respectively killed and then an appropriate amount of hippocampus was separated. Human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), calmodulin (CaM), calmodulin-dependent kinase Ⅱ a (CaMK II a), NMDA receptor 2B (NR2B), cysteine aspartate specific protease-3 mRNA (Caspase-3mRNA) and protein contents were detected. RESULTS The latency of rats in group A and group B, as well as their times of crossing the original platform on 1, 4, and 7d were markedly higher than those of the CG, and those in group B were markedly lower than those in group A (p<0.001). The total distance of rats in group A and group B on 1, 4, and 7d was significantly higher than that of the CG, and that in group B was dramatically lower than that in group A (p<0.001). The speed of rats in the three groups ranged from 1d to 7d, and there was no significant difference at different time points (p>0.05). At the end of anesthesia, the expression levels of CaM mRNA and protein in hippocampus of rats in group A and group B were remarkably higher than those of the CG, and those of CaMK II a mRNA and protein were remarkably lower than those of the CG; the CaM mRNA and protein expression levels in hippocampus of group A were significantly higher than those of group B, and those of CaMK IL a mRNA and protein were significantly lower than those of group B (p<0.001). Simultaneously, the expression levels of NR2BmRNA, Caspase-3mRNA and protein in hippocampus of group A and group B were substantially higher than those of the CG, and those in group B were substantially lower than those in group A (p<0.001). What's more, the TNF-a and VEGF expression levels in hippocampus of group A and B were markedly higher than those of the CG, and those in group B were dramatically lower than those of group A (p<0.001). CONCLUSIONS Sevoflurane anesthesia on the CaM-CaMK-CREB signaling pathway and learning and memory function of rats is less volatile, which does better in safeguarding stability.

Abstract
Abstract Objective To retrospectively analyze the characteristics of the traumatic rupture of intracranial internal carotid artery in order to provide reference for forensic expertise examination and identification. Methods A total of 11 autopsy cases of traumatic rupture of intracranial internal carotid artery were collected. The gender, age, cause of injury, blood loss on the scene, location of internal carotid artery rupture, hardening degree of the rupture of the wall, brain injury, blood ethanol content and cause of death were also recorded. Results All 11 cases died on the scene, of which 7 died from traffic accidents, 2 falls from height and 2 from bare handed injuries. None of the 11 victims suffered serious head and body surface injury. The internal carotid artery rupture in the 9 cases of traffic injury and fall from height injury occurred in the cavernous segment. In all these cases, there were transverse fractures of the middle cranial fossa with the carotid sulcus involved, and minor intracranial hemorrhage and brain contusion. In 2 cases of bare handed injuries, internal carotid artery rupture occurred in the ophthalmic artery segment, accompanied by fatal intracranial hemorrhage and diffuse axonal injury, but no skull fracture. All 11 cases showed full-thickness rupture of the vessel wall, and the long axis of the wounds was perpendicular to those of the artery. Conclusion The incidence of intracranial internal carotid artery rupture in high-energy trauma events such as traffic accidents and high falls deserves attention. Injuries of the cavernous segment or ophthalmic segment might be more common. The main injury mechanism of intracranial internal carotid artery rupture might be that the blood vessels were pulled and the bone fragments caused damage.

Abstract
Background:Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex and heterogeneous autoimmune disease, usually involving multiple systems of the whole body (1). A variety of factors can affect SLE, such as genetic, environmental, immunoregulatory, hormonal and epigenetic (2). Long non-coding RNA is a type of RNA greater than 200 nucleotides that does not encode proteins. With the development of research, lncRNA gradually becomes the key regulator of gene expression in the immune system (3). Studies have shown that several lncRNAs, such as NEAT1 and GAS5 are dysregulated in SLE and are involved in the pathogenesis of SLE (4,5). These results suggest that lncRNA can be used as a potential biomarker for disease diagnosis and treatment. However, our current understanding of SLE related lncRNAS is still limited. Objectives:The purpose of this study was to find new lncRNAs in peripheral blood monouclear cells of SLE patients by transcriptome sequencing and explore their potential as biomarkers and their correlation with clinical features. Methods:Transcriptome sequencing was used to screen differentially expressed lncRNAs (DELs) and mRNAs (DEMs). DAVID and WebGestalt were used to perform enrichment analysis. Cytoscape was used to constructed protein-protein network, co-expression network and competitive endogenous RNA network to reveal the regulatory mechanism of lncRNAs in transcriptome level. The expression of these selected lncRNAs in SLE patients and healthy controls were verified by qPCR.Results:A toal of 1737 DELs and 4078 DEMs were identified between 5 SLE patients and 5 healthy controls. Most of upregulated genes were enriched in defense and immune response, while downregulated genes were mainly enriched in SLE related pathways. Topology network analysis reveal the regulatory mechanism of lncRNAs in transcriptome level including directly acting on mRNA or indirectly affecting gene expression after acting on miRNA. Ten lncRNAs and eight genes was verified by qPCR in bigger samples including 77 SLE patients and 25 healthy controls. LncRNA NONHSAT101022.2 was significantly downregulated in SLE patients (p=0.001) and the expression of NONHSAT101022.2 showed a significant negative correlation with SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI, r=-0.3592, p=0.0013).Conclusion:In this work, we identified a large number of mRNAs and novel lncRNAs by transcriptome sequence. The function and regulatory mechanism of these lncRNAs were analyzed by bioinformatics methods. LncRNA NONHSAT101022.2 is significantly downregulated in SLE patients and significantly related to the activity and severity of disease. Additionally, we put forward that NONHSAT101022.2 may enhance the signal transduction of β2-AR by cis-regulating its target gene, LMBRD2, which induces NK cells to produce high levels of IFN-γ, thereby exacerbating SLE.References:[1]Carter EE, Barr SG, Clarke AE. Abstract
Background:Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease that mainly involves the joints. The incidence of RA is 5 to 10 per 1000 people[1]. Early diagnosis and treatment of RA can effectively prevent disease progression, joint damage, and other complications in 90% of patients[2]. At present, serum biomarkers used in the diagnosis of established RA are rheumatoid factor and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody[3]. However, early RA especially serum RF and anti-CCP antibody-negative is difficult to diagnose due to the lack of effective biomarkers. Therefore, it is vital to identify new and effective biomarkers for the early diagnosis and treatment of RA.Objectives:This study aimed to identify new biomarkers and mechanisms for RA disease progression at the transcriptome level through a combination of microarray and bioinformatics analyses. Methods:Microarray datasets for synovial tissue in RA or osteoarthritis (OA) were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified by R software. Tissue/organ-specific genes were recognized by BioGPS. Enrichment analyses were performed and protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks were constructed to understand the functions and enriched pathways of DEGs and to identify hub genes. Cytoscape was used to construct the co-expressed network and competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) networks. Biomarkers with high diagnostic value for the early diagnosis of RA were validated by GEO datasets. The ggpubr package was used to perform statistical analyses with Student’s t-test.Results:A total of 275 DEGs were identified between 16 RA samples and 10 OA samples from the datasets GSE77298 and GSE82107. Among these DEGs, 71 tissue/organ-specific expressed genes were recognized. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis indicated that DEGs are mostly enriched in immune response, immune-related biological process, immune system, and cytokine signal pathways. Fifteen hub genes and gene cluster modules were identified by Cytoscape. Eight haematologic/immune system-specific expressed hub genes were verified by GEO datasets. GZMA, PRC1, and TTK may be biomarkers for diagnosis of early RA through combined the analysis of the verification results and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. NEAT1-miR-212-3p/miR-132-3p/miR-129-5p-TTK, XIST-miR-25-3p/miR-129-5p-GZMA, and TTK_hsa_circ_0077158- miR-212-3p/miR-132-3p/miR-129-5p-TTK might be potential RNA regulatory pathways to regulate the disease progression of early RA.Conclusion:This work identified three haematologic/immune system-specific expressed genes, namely, GZMA, PRC1, and TTK, as potential biomarkers for the early diagnosis and treatment of RA and provided insight into the mechanisms of disease development in RA at the transcriptome level. In addition, we proposed that NEAT1-miR-212-3p/miR-132-3p/miR-129-5p-TTK, XIST-miR-25-3p/miR-129-5p-GZMA, and TTK_hsa_circ_0077158-miR-212-3p/miR-132-3p/miR-129-5p-TTK are potential RNA regulatory pathways that control disease progression in early RA.References:[1]Smolen JS, Aletaha D, McInnes IB: Rheumatoid arthritis.Lancet 2016, 388:2023-2038.[2]Aletaha D, Smolen JS: Diagnosis and Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Review.Jama 2018, 320:1360-1372.[3]Aletaha D, Neogi T, Silman AJ, Funovits J, Felson DT, Bingham CO, 3rd, Birnbaum NS, Burmester GR, Bykerk VP, Cohen MD, et al: 2010 Rheumatoid arthritis classification criteria: an American College of Rheumatology/European League Against Rheumatism collaborative initiative.Arthritis Rheum 2010, 62:2569-2581.Disclosure of Interests:None declared

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of systolic blood pressure (SBP) trajectories on cancers. Methods: The relevant data of 54, 888 employees of Kailuan (Group) Limited Liability Company who participated in the 3 health examinations from 2006-2007, 2008-2009, 2010-2011 were collected and the new onset cancer cases were recorded. The systolic blood pressure trajectory grouping was carried out using the blood pressure measurement values of the 3 physical examinations. The life table method was used to calculate the incidence of cancer, and the multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression model was used to analyze the influence factors of cancer. Results: According to the systolic blood pressure trajectory, 54, 888 subjects were divided into 5 groups, including 14, 326 in the low-stable group, 25, 630 in the moderate-stable group, 5, 390 in the moderate-increasing group, 6, 438 in the elevated-lowering group, and 3, 104 in the elevated-stable group. A total of 1, 070 new onset cancer occurred during the follow-up period of (4.95±0.53) years. The incidence of cancer in the low-stable group, moderate-stable group, moderate-increasing group, elevated-lowering group and elevated-stable group were 1.3% (177/14, 326), 2.2% (491/25, 360), 3.1% (147/5, 390), 2.7% (156/6, 438) and 3.8% (99/3, 104), respectively, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). After adjusting for gender, age, smoking, drinking, physical exercise, body mass index (BMI), fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, antihypertensive drugs, hypoglycemic drugs, and lipid-lowering drugs, multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that the systolic blood pressure trajectory was related to the incidence of cancer. Compared with the low-stable group, the Hazard ratio (HR) in the moderate-stable group, moderate-increasing group, elevated-lowering group and elevated-stable group were 1.413, 1.731, 1.557 and 1.907, respectively (all P<0.001). Conclusion: High systolic blood pressure trajectories is the risk factor for cancer.

Abstract
Both sarcopenia and low bone mineral density (BMD) have become public health concerns. We found that presarcopenic and/or sarcopenic individuals were more likely to have lower BMD. And this relationship has race and sex-specific discrepancy. PURPOSE The purpose of the study was to investigate the racial and gender differences in the relationship between sarcopenia and BMD among older adults. METHODS Totally, 5476 subjects (mean age = 65.7 ± 6.4) of non-Hispanic White (n = 3297), non-Hispanic Black (n = 1265), and non-Hispanic Asian (n = 914) were analyzed. Sarcopenia was defined according to the revised European consensus on definition and diagnosis of sarcopenia (EWGSOP2). General linear model and multivariable linear regression model were used to examine the relationship between sarcopenia and regional/whole body BMD stratified by race and sex. Adjustments were conducted for physiological, behavioral, and disease factors. RESULTS Comparing with normal older participants, presarcopenic and sarcopenic elderly were more likely to have lower BMD. Although the difference was not statistically significant in a few sub-groups, among the three racial groups, the strongest association between sarcopenia and BMD was found in non-Hispanic Black people, followed by non-Hispanic White people and non-Hispanic Asian people. In addition, significant differences of BMD across sarcopenia stages were found in more sub-groups in women than in men after adjusting for covariates. CONCLUSIONS In this older cohort, sarcopenia is significantly related to low regional/whole-body BMD, and these associations vary by race and sex. Consideration in race and sex is warranted when developing strategies to maintain or minimize BMD loss.

OBJECTIVES To analyze and compare, using ultrasound-based radiomics technology, fetal-lung texture in pregnancies affected by gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and/or pre-eclampsia (PE) and in normal pregnancies, overall and at different gestational ages. METHODS In this retrospective study, 430 high-throughput features per fetal-lung image were extracted from 548 fetal-lung ultrasound images (obtained at the level of the four-chamber view of the heart) in 548 pregnant women who delivered between July 2018 and August 2019 at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University. Images had been obtained during ultrasound examinations between 28 and 41 weeks of gestation. The data were divided randomly into training set (80% of fetal-lung images) and independent test set (20% of images), and 20% of the images in the training set were then selected as the validation set. A standard machine-learning model based on ultrasound-based radiomics technology was created using features of fetal-lung texture extracted from the images, and a regression model was used to evaluate the relationship between lung-texture features, GDM and/or PE and gestational age. RESULTS Of the 548 pregnancies included, 108 were affected by GDM alone, 71 by PE alone and 25 by both GDM and PE, and 344 were normal. The overall performance of the GDM and PE prediction model was superior to that of the gestational-age prediction model, with an area under the receiver-operating-characteristics curve of 0.95-0.99, sensitivity of 78.8-97.1% in the validation set and 74.5-91.3% in the independent test set, specificity of 79.8-94.3% in the validation set and 75.7-88.4% in the independent test set and accuracy of 81.0-95.3% in the validation set and 80.6-86.4% in the independent test set. CONCLUSIONS Using ultrasound-based radiomics technology, fetal lungs from pregnancies grouped according to whether they were affected by GDM and/or PE could be distinguished from each other and from fetal lungs of normal pregnancies, and lungs from pregnancies at different gestational ages could be distinguished. These findings support further research to explore the use of this non-invasive technology to predict neonatal respiratory complications in women with PE, GDM or their combination. © 2020 International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the expression of lysine (k)-specific demethylase 6B (KDM6B) in the renal tissues of hepatitis B virus-associated glomerulonephritis (HBV-GN) patients and human podocytes transfected with hepatitis B virus X (HBx) gene, and its role in HBx-mediated podocyte-macrophage transdifferentiation (PMT). Methods: Forty-eight patients diagnosed as HBV-GN by renal biopsy from 2013 to 2018 at the Shanghai Jiaotong University Affiliated First People's Hospital were included in this study. Thirty patients with primary glomerulonephritis (PGN) and fifteen patients with renal tumor were chosen as control group. The expression of KDM6B and macrophage marker F4/80 in renal tissues of HBV-GN patients was observed by immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry. The association between kidney KDM6B levels and clinical features of HBV-GN patients was analyzed. The expression of KDM6B, F4/80, major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-Ⅱ and CD40 in the podocytes was detected by Western blotting. The contents of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the supernatant were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The small interfering RNA of KDM6B (KDM6B siRNA) was used to silence the expression of KDM6B and the protein levels of KDM6B, F4/80 and tri-methylation of lysine 27 of histone H3 (H3K27me3) induced by HBx gene transfection were detected by Western blotting. Results: Renal KDM6B expression was significantly increased in HBV-GN patients compared to normal control (0.022±0.004 vs 0.006±0.002, P=0.006). There was no significant difference in the positive rate of KDM6B among different pathological types of HBV-GN (P=0.139). Moreover, co-expression of KDM6B and F4/80 could be observed in the podocytes of HBV-GN patients. Patients with estimated glomerular filtration (eGFR)<60 ml·min-1·(1.73 m2)-1or proteinuria ≥ 3.5 g/day had a significantly higher renal KDM6B expression compared to control groups (all P<0.05). In addition, the expression of KDM6B, F4/80, MHC-II and CD40 was significantly up-regulated in the podocytes transfected with HBx gene (all P<0.05). The content of IFN-γ and IL-6 in the supernatant was significantly increased (all P<0.05). After gene silencing of KDM6B, the expression of F4/80 induced by HBx in the podocytes was significantly down-regulated, while the level of H3K27me3 was significantly increased (both P<0.05). Conclusions: HBx could induce KDM6B expression in podocytes and initiate PMT, thereby involving in the dysfunction of immune microenviroment in the renal tissues of HBV-GN.

Abstract
Abstract Objective To provide reference for medical and health services and forensic expertise, the causes and manners of death of psychiatric patients were analyzed retrospectively. Methods A total of 105 autopsy cases of psychiatric patients accepted and settled by Institute of Forensic Science of Criminal Investigation Police University of China from 2004 to 2019 were collected. The cases were divided into four groups: disease death, suicidal death, accidental death and homicidal death. The common causes of death of each group were statistically analyzed and the differences in age, disease duration, body mass index (BMI) and gender among the groups were assessed. Results Of the 105 cases, 60 were male and 45 were female, the course of psychosis was (12.9±10.4) years, the age of the deceased was (51.3±11.4) years, and 61.0% was schizophrenic. There were 50 cases (47.6%) in the disease death group, in which the psychiatric patients were the oldest and had the longest course of psychosis and lowest BMI. Pulmonary thromboembolism, respiratory infections, and cardiogenic disease were the most common causes of death in the group. There were 26 accidental deaths (24.8%), among which traffic accidents were the most common cause of death. There were 15 homicidal deaths (14.3%), all of which were male, with craniocerebral injury being the most common cause of death. There were 14 suicidal deaths (13.3%). In suicidal death group, the age of the deceased was the youngest, the course of psychosis was the shortest and falling from the height was the most common way to commit suicide. Conclusion Understanding the common causes of death of psychiatric patients may contribute to developing measures to reduce the mortality rate of the population. It is necessary to investigate the age, course of psychosis and gender of the deceased when assessing the manner of death.

Background
Computed tomography angiography (CTA) is key imaging modality for procedure planning for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Functional assessment by CTA with LV global longitudinal strain (LVGLS) has recently shown to be feasible. However, there is limited data on its prognostic value in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) who treated with TAVR.
Purpose
To evaluate the association of baseline CTA-LVGLS with post-TAVR outcome.
Methods
Patients who underwent contrast multiphasic gated CTA for TAVR planning were studied. LVGLS was measured using dedicated feature-tracking software (Medis®). Cox regression analysis evaluated the association of baseline LVGLS with a composite outcome of all-cause death and heart failure hospitalization after TAVR.
Results
A total of 431 patients were included (median [IQR] age, 83 [77,87]years; 44% female); the society of Thoracic Surgeons Predicted Risk of Mortality (STS-PROM) score, 3.3 [2.3,5.1]%; CTA-LVGLS, -18.0 [-21.6,-14.2]%; LV ejection fraction was preserved at 60 [55,65]%. After a median follow-up of 19 [13,27] months, 99 composite outcomes occurred after TAVR. On multivariable Cox regression analysis, LVGLS was associated with the risk of composite outcome even after adjustment for baseline characteristics (Figure A). Patients with reduced LVGLS (above the median >-18.0%) had higher risk of the composite outcome than those with preserved GLS (p = 0.003; Figure B).
Conclusion
Baseline CTA-LVGLS was associated with the risk of death or heart failure hospitalization over the clinical and echocardiographic characteristics in severe AS patients undergoing TAVR.

Background
Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) assessment by echocardiography is often challenging. Functional dual-source CT (DSCT) with third-generation scanners allows accurate evaluation of leaflet anatomy and mobility.
Purpose
Investigate the reproducibility of tricuspid anatomical regurgitant orifice area (AROA) by DSCT, and its correlation with TR quantification by 3D TEE.
Methods
We evaluated patients with symptomatic TR referred for transcatheter tricuspid repair. DSCT (SOMATOM Force [Siemens, Erlangen, Germany]) and 3D TEE was performed on the same day as part of our institutional registry. DSCT scans were retrospective and ECG-gated, with a contrast protocol to enhance the right heart. The reproducibility of tricuspid AROA was assessed in 20 patients. The tricuspid AROA was compared with the TR severity (5-grade classification) and the 3D VCA by TEE (Panel 1).
Results
We included 60 patients (Table). The AROA had excellent intra and interobserver reliability (ICC 0.99 [0.97, 0.99] and 0.99 [0.96, 0.99]). We found a stepwise increase in tricuspid AROA from moderate to torrential TR (Panel 2A). Of 60 patients, 3D VCA was feasible in 39; in those, we found an excellent linear correlation of AROA and 3D VCA (Panel 2B).
Conclusions
Tricuspid AROA by DSCT was reproducible, showed a stepwise increase from moderate to massive TR and correlated with 3D VCA by TEE.

Abstract
Treatments of bone metastases using radionuclides are now well established in oncology. It is also a field that continues to develop. This article reviews the evidence base that led to the approval of strontium-89 and samarium-153 ethylenediaminetetramethylene phophanate (EDTMP) for the palliation of pain from bone metastases, as well as the evidence for the use of radium-223 in metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer. Efforts to optimise treatments and improve response rates, either by safely increasing the radiation dose to bone metastases or by combining treatment with non-radiation-based therapies, are discussed. In addition, the development of both alpha- and beta-particle-emitting radiopharmaceuticals designed to target prostate-specific membrane antigen are reviewed.

Abstract
Objective: It is yet to be clarified whether pylorus-preserving gastrectomy (PPG) for early gastric cancer will bring the risk of radical tumor resection, whether it will increase the incidence of postoperative complications, and how much is the benefit of the quality of life for patients after surgery, these issues are not clear. This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pylorus-preserving gastrectomy (PPG) for early middle gastric cancer. Methods: The Chinese and English literatures about PPG and distal gastrectomy (DG) for early gastric cancer were searched from PubMed, Embase, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CNKI net and Wanfang database. Literature inclusion criteria: (1) Prospective or retrospective cohort study of PPG and DG for early middle-third gastric cancer published publicly; (2) Patients with early middle-third gastric cancer; (3) The enrolled literatures include at least one of the following outcome indicators: the efficacy indicators include gallstone, residual gastritis, bile reflux, delayed gastric emptying, dumping syndrome, reflux esophagitis and overall complication; the long-term prognostic indicators include 5-year survival rate and 5-year tumor recurrence. Literature exclusion criteria: (1) Reviews, case reports, conference summaries and other non-control studies; (2) Repeated published studies, incomplete studies and unextractable studies; (3) The depth of tumor invasion exceeding submucosa. The search time ended in July 2020. The basic information and evaluation indicators included in the article were extracted. The retrospective study was evaluated using Newcastle-Ottawa literature quality evaluation scale. The prospective randomized controlled study was evaluated using Jadad modified scale. Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3. Publication bias was assessed using funnel map. Publication bias was tested using Egger tools. Results: A total of 717 literatures were retrieved, and 17 literatures were enrolled finally, including 2 randomized controlled trials and 15 retrospective studies. A total of 2427 patients were enrolled, including 948 in PPG group and 1479 in DG group. The meta-analysis of the efficacy indicators showed that there were significant differences in gallstones incidence (OR=0.42, 95% CI: 0.28-0.65, P<0.001), residual gastritis incidence (OR=0.50, 95% CI: 0.32-0.77,P=0.002), bile reflux incidence (OR=0.30, 95% CI: 0.20-0.45, P<0.001), delayed gastric emptying incidence (OR=2.40, 95% CI:1.67-3.45, P<0.001), and postoperative dumping syndrome incidence (OR=0.28, 95% CI: 0.15-0.51, P<0.001), while there were no significant differences in postoperative overall complications (OR=0.97, 95% CI: 0.69-1.35, P=0.840), reflux esophagitis incidence (OR=0.79, 95% CI: 0.39-1.61, P=0.520) between the two groups. The meta-analysis of the long-term prognostic indicators showed that no significant differences of 5-year survival (OR=1.02, 95% CI: 0.61-1.71, P=0.940) or 5-year tumor recurrence (OR=0.77, 95% CI: 0.36-1.68, P=0.520) were observed between the two groups. Conclusion: The incidences of gallstone, residual gastritis, dumping syndrome, bile reflux are lower after PPG in early gastric cancer, while the postoperative overall complications and long-term survival are comparable between PPG and DG, indicating that PPG is quite safe and feasible.
