Abstract
A precision measurement of the nitrogen flux with rigidity (momentum per unit charge) from 2.2 GV to 3.3 TV based on 2.2×10^{6} events is presented. The detailed rigidity dependence of the nitrogen flux spectral index is presented for the first time. The spectral index rapidly hardens at high rigidities and becomes identical to the spectral indices of primary He, C, and O cosmic rays above ∼700 GV. We observed that the nitrogen flux Φ_{N} can be presented as the sum of its primary component Φ_{N}^{P} and secondary component Φ_{N}^{S}, Φ_{N}=Φ_{N}^{P}+Φ_{N}^{S}, and we found Φ_{N} is well described by the weighted sum of the oxygen flux Φ_{O} (primary cosmic rays) and the boron flux Φ_{B} (secondary cosmic rays), with Φ_{N}^{P}=(0.090±0.002)×Φ_{O} and Φ_{N}^{S}=(0.62±0.02)×Φ_{B} over the entire rigidity range. This corresponds to a change of the contribution of the secondary cosmic ray component in the nitrogen flux from 70% at a few GV to <30% above 1 TV.

Abstract
We present the precision measurement from May 2011 to May 2017 (79 Bartels rotations) of the proton fluxes at rigidities from 1 to 60 GV and the helium fluxes from 1.9 to 60 GV based on a total of 1×10^{9} events collected with the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer aboard the International Space Station. This measurement is in solar cycle 24, which has the solar maximum in April 2014. We observed that, below 40 GV, the proton flux and the helium flux show nearly identical fine structures in both time and relative amplitude. The amplitudes of the flux structures decrease with increasing rigidity and vanish above 40 GV. The amplitudes of the structures are reduced during the time period, which started one year after solar maximum, when the proton and helium fluxes steadily increase. Above ∼3 GV the p/He flux ratio is time independent. We observed that below ∼3 GV the ratio has a long-term decrease coinciding with the period during which the fluxes start to rise.

Abstract
In this study, a glutathione S-transferase gene (gst) from sensitive Physarum polycephalum was selected for its ability to detect nanosized TiO2 (nTiO2 ) exposure under dark conditions. The concentration of nTiO2 (25, 40 and 60 nm) for subsequent assays was first determined (5-18 mg ml-1 ) and total GST enzyme activity of P. polycephalum was confirmed to be increased 6-44 fold in groups treated with nTiO2 . Second, an RNA-seq study was performed to identify candidate gst genes before isolation of an optimum gst gene of P. polycephalum (Ppgst), which encoded 223 amino acids. Third, the transcriptional level of the Ppgst gene was further confirmed to be positively correlated with nTiO2 exposure within the concentration range of (5-15 mg ml-1 ) by qPCR. In conclusion, these results indicated that the transcriptional level of Ppgst can reflect nTiO2 exposure, suggesting that it may be employed as a new biomarker for nTiO2 pollution under dark conditions. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY This study identifies a new gst gene for indicating nanosized TiO2 under dark conditions and provides a new option for detection of nanosized TiO2 pollution under dark conditions.

Abstract
Suppurative tonsillitis (ST) is a common respiratory disease in children. This study aims to investigate the association between calcium (Ca)/magnesium (Mg)/phosphorus (P) and the risk of onset of suppuration in tonsillitis in children. Seventy children with ST and 61 age- and sex-matched children with non-ST were enrolled in this study. The association between Ca/Mg/P and suppuration risk in tonsillitis was investigated. The relationship between Ca/Mg/P and the potential risk factors for ST were also studied. White blood cell (WBC), platelet (PLT), c-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) levels were significantly higher in the ST group than those in the non-ST group (p less than 0.05). Mg and P levels were significantly lower in the ST group than those in the non-ST group (p less than 0.05). There was no obvious difference in Ca level between the ST group and the non-ST group (p=0.762). A significantly negative association between P and PCT was noted (r=-0.236, p=0.035). The results indicated that Mg/P disorder may be associated with the susceptibility to suppuration in children with tonsillitis, inflammatory indexes may reflect this risk.

Abstract
Voltage-gated sodium (Nav) channels play a pivotal role for the changes in membrane potential and belong to large membrane proteins that compose four voltage sensor domains (VSD1-4). In this study, we describe the binding mode and selectivity of one of the aryl sulfonamide sodium channel inhibitors, PF-04856264, for the VSD4s in Nav1.4, Nav1.5 and Nav1.7, respectively, through molecular dynamics simulation and enhanced post-dynamics analyses. Our results show that there are three binding site regions (BSR1-3) in the combination of the ligand and receptors, of which BSR1 and BSR3 contribute to the selectivity and affinity of the ligand to the receptor. What's more, the 39th residue (Y39 in VSD4hNav1.4/ VSD4hNav1.7 and A39 in VSD4hNav1.5) and N42 in BSR1, the 84th residue (L84 in VSD4hNav1.4, T84 in VSD4hNav1.5, and M84 in VSD4hNav1.7) in BSR2 and the conserved positive charged residues in BSR3 have major contributions to the interaction between the ligand and receptor. Further analysis reveals that if the 39th residue has a benzene ring structure, the connection of BSR1 and the ligand would be much stronger through π-stacking interaction. On the other hand, the strength and number of the hydrogen bonds formed by the ligand and the conserved arginines on S4 determine the contribution of BSR3 to the total free binding energy. We anticipate this study pave the way for the design of more effective and safe treatment for pain that selectively target Nav1.7.

Abstract
We report on the observation of new properties of secondary cosmic rays Li, Be, and B measured in the rigidity (momentum per unit charge) range 1.9 GV to 3.3 TV with a total of 5.4×10^{6} nuclei collected by AMS during the first five years of operation aboard the International Space Station. The Li and B fluxes have an identical rigidity dependence above 7 GV and all three fluxes have an identical rigidity dependence above 30 GV with the Li/Be flux ratio of 2.0±0.1. The three fluxes deviate from a single power law above 200 GV in an identical way. This behavior of secondary cosmic rays has also been observed in the AMS measurement of primary cosmic rays He, C, and O but the rigidity dependences of primary cosmic rays and of secondary cosmic rays are distinctly different. In particular, above 200 GV, the secondary cosmic rays harden more than the primary cosmic rays.

Abstract
We report the observation of new properties of primary cosmic rays He, C, and O measured in the rigidity (momentum/charge) range 2 GV to 3 TV with 90×10^{6} helium, 8.4×10^{6} carbon, and 7.0×10^{6} oxygen nuclei collected by the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) during the first five years of operation. Above 60 GV, these three spectra have identical rigidity dependence. They all deviate from a single power law above 200 GV and harden in an identical way.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Pro-protein processing mechanism plays an important role in neuron injury. OBJECTIVE To study the protein convertase 1 (PC1) mediated processing mechanism, the ischemic cellular or tissue proPC1/PC1 or proCgA/CgA (pro-chromogranin A) was analyzed. METHODS NS20Y differentiated cells were stressed by 0-6 h of oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD) in glucose-free DMEM and an anaerobic jar environment. Ischemic C57BL/J mouse model was established by performing 60-min of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) operation and subsequent 4 or 24-h reperfusion. The TUNEL, immunochemistry, and Western blot methods were used to detect protein expression in ischemic cells or tissues. RESULTS The OGD or MCAO stress caused substantial cell death in a dose-dependent manner (p < 0.05 or 0.01). With the increasing OGD dose, proPC1 and PC1 proteins gradually increased (p < 0.05 or 0.01) whereas proCgA and CgA proteins decreased (p < 0.05). In vivo the proPC1 and PC1 expressions presented with a peak at 4-h and then decreased at 24-h reperfusion (p < 0.05 or 0.01). The tissue proCgA and CgA proteins decreased with the increasing reperfusion time (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The results suggest that the increasing PC1 expression promoted the transformation of proCgA into CgA or smaller peptides, i.e. Pancreastatin or Secretoneurin, and the PC1 mediated processing plays a critical role (Fig. 4, Ref. 15).

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of hydrogen on the lung damage of mice at early stage of severe burn. Methods: One hundred and sixty ICR mice were divided into sham injury, hydrogen, pure burn, and burn+ hydrogen groups according to the random number table, with 40 mice in each group. Mice in pure burn group and burn+ hydrogen group were inflicted with 40% total body surface area full-thickness scald (hereafter referred to as burn) on the back, while mice in sham injury group and hydrogen group were sham injured. Mice in hydrogen group and burn+ hydrogen group inhaled 2% hydrogen for 1 h at post injury hour (PIH) 1 and 6, respectively, while mice in sham injury group and pure burn group inhaled air for 1 h. At PIH 24, lung tissue of six mice in each group was harvested, and then pathological changes of lung tissue were observed by HE staining and the lung tissue injury pathological score was calculated. Inferior vena cava blood and lung tissue of other eight mice in each group were obtained, and then content of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in serum and lung tissue was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in serum and lung tissue was detected by spectrophotometry. After arterial blood of other six mice in each group was collected for detection of arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO(2)), the wet and dry weight of lung tissue were weighted to calculate lung wet to dry weight ratio. The survival rates of the other twenty mice in each group during post injury days 7 were calculated. Data were processed with one-way analysis of variance, LSD test and log-rank test. Results: (1) At PIH 24, lung tissue of mice in sham injury group and hydrogen group showed no abnormality. Mice in pure burn group were with pulmonary interstitial edema, serious rupture of alveolar capillary wall, and infiltration of a large number of inflammatory cells. Mice in burn+ hydrogen group were with mild pulmonary interstitial edema, alveolar capillary congestion accompanied by slight rupture and bleeding, and the number of infiltration of inflammatory cells was smaller than that in pure burn group. The lung tissue injury pathological scores of mice in sham injury group, hydrogen group, pure burn group, and burn+ hydrogen group were (0.7±0.5), (0.8±0.5), (6.1±1.0), and (2.8±0.8) points, respectively. The lung tissue injury pathological score of mice in pure burn group was significantly higher than that in sham injury group (P<0.001). The lung tissue injury pathological score of mice in burn+ hydrogen group was significantly lower than that in pure burn group (P<0.001). (2) At PIH 24, the content of HMGB1 and IL-6 in serum and lung tissue of mice in hydrogen group was close to that in sham injury group (with P values above 0.05). The content of HMGB1 and IL-6 in serum and lung tissue of mice in pure burn group was significantly higher than that in sham injury group (with P values below 0.001). The content of HMGB1 and IL-6 in serum and lung tissue of mice in burn+ hydrogen group was significantly lower than that in pure burn group (with P values below 0.001). (3) At PIH 24, the activity of SOD in serum and lung tissue of mice in hydrogen group was close to that in sham injury group (with P values above 0.05). The activity of SOD in serum and lung tissue of mice in pure burn group was significantly lower than that in sham injury group (with P values below 0.001). The activity of SOD in serum and lung tissue of mice in burn+ hydrogen group was significantly higher than that in pure burn group (with P values below 0.001). (4) At PIH 24, there was no statistically significant difference in PaO(2) among the mice in four groups (F=0.04, P>0.05). (5) At PIH 24, the ratios of lung wet to dry weight of mice in sham injury, hydrogen, pure burn, and burn+ hydrogen groups were 3.52±0.22, 3.61±0.24, 7.24±0.32, and 5.21±0.41, respectively. The ratio of lung wet to dry weight of mice in pure burn group was significantly higher than that in sham injury group (P<0.001). The ratio of lung wet to dry weight of mice in burn+ hydrogen group was significantly lower than that in pure burn group (P<0.001). (6) The survival rates of mice in sham injury group and hydrogen group during post injury days 7 were 100%. Compared with those in sham injury group, survival rates of mice in pure burn group from post injury days 3 to 7 were significantly decreased (with P values below 0.05). Compared with those in pure burn group, survival rates of mice in burn+ hydrogen group from post injury days 5 to 7 were significantly increased (with P values below 0.05). Conclusions: Hydrogen can significantly alleviate the infiltration of inflammatory cells and improve the pathological lesions of lung tissue of mice with severe burn. It has the effects of reducing inflammatory reaction and inhibiting oxidative stress, further showing the protective effect on the lung of burn mice.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of simple anthropometric parameters in diagnosing obesity in children in Guangzhou. Methods: A cross-sectional study, including 465 children aged 6-9 years, was carried out in Guangzhou. Their body height and weight, waist circumference (WC) and hip circumference were measured according to standard procedure. Body mass index (BMI), waist to hip ratio (WHR) and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) were calculated. Body fat percentage (BF%) was determined by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. Multiple regression analysis was applied to evaluate the correlations between age-adjusted physical indicators and BF%, after the adjustment for age. Obesity was defined by BF%. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analyses were performed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of the indicators for childhood obesity. Area under-ROC curves (AUCs) were calculated and the best cut-off point that maximizing 'sensitivity + specificity-1' was determined. Results: BMI showed the strongest association with BF% through multiple regression analysis. For 'per-standard deviation increase' of BMI, BF% increased by 5.3% (t=23.1, P<0.01) in boys and 4.6% (t=17.5, P<0.01) in girls, respectively. The ROC curve analysis indicated that BMI exhibited the largest AUC in both boys (AUC=0.908) and girls (AUC=0.895). The sensitivity was 80.8% in boys and 81.8% in girls, and the specificity was 88.2% in boys and 87.1% in girls. Both the AUCs for WHtR and WC were less than 0.8 in boys and girls. WHR had the smallest AUCs (<0.8) in both boys and girls. Conclusion: BMI appeared to be a good predicator for BF% in children aged 6-9 years in Guangzhou.

Abstract
Objective: To assess the relationship between hypertension and BMI, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio in middle-aged and elderly residents in Luzhou, Sichuan province. Methods: A total of 2 033 middle-aged and elderly local residents aged 35-69 years were enrolled from Luzhou through stratified cluster sampling from March 27 to April 20, 2015. A face-to-face questionnaire survey and physical examination were conducted by trained investigators. Results: The overall prevalence rate of hypertension was 43.48%. The overweight rate, obesity rate, centrality obesity (calculated according to waist circumference) and centrality obesity (calculated according to waist-hip ratio) were 42.5%, 14.6%, 48.4% and 74.0%, respectively. The multivariate logistic analysis showed that gender and age were related to the prevalence of hypertension. Compared with age group <40 years, the OR values were 2.066 and 4.756 respectively in age groups 45-60 and ≥60 years. After control the confounding effect of gender and age, overweight, obesity and centrality obesity (calculated according to waist circumference) were risk factors for hypertension, waist-hip ratio was not used in the regression equation. BMI and waist circumference or waist-hip ratio had combined effect on the prevalence of hypertension. Compared with the normal adults, the risk for hypertension increased as the increase of the level of overweight and obesity [OR from 1.524 (95%CI: 1.044-2.226) to 4.461 (95%CI: 3.405-6.326) and OR from 1.569 (95%CI: 1.134-2.171) to 5.468 (95%CI: 3.797-7.876)]. Conclusions: The influences of BMI, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio on the prevalence of hypertension were significant, but the influence of waist circumference on hypertension was greater than waist-hip ratio. Keeping normal bodyweight might be one of the effective hypertension prevention measures.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To explore the correlation between the imaging parameters of skull and the external features of eyes. METHODS Positive images of the head face and the frontal and lateral X-ray films were obtained from 101 cases of adult males of the Han nationality aged from 20 to 40 years old in Northeast China. The face width (x₁), upper face width (x₂), biorbital width (x₃), all facial height (x₄), upper facial height (x₅), maximum breadth of skull (x₆), minimum breadth of frontal bone (x₇), orbital widthⅡ(x₈), anterior interorbital breadth (x₉), maximum height of skull (x₁₀), minimum width of nasal bone (x₁₁) and orbital height (x₁₂) were measured and the data were statistically analysed. RESULTS Through the linear regression analysis, the regression equations of the presumed inboard canthi (y₁) and outboard canthi distances (y₂) were established, respectively, which were y₁=0.025 x₂+0.291 x₃-0.011 x₇+0.041 x₁₀-0.525(R=0.613, SEE=0.222 cm) and y₂=1.703-0.08 x₂+0.573 x₃-0.142 x₄+0.421 x₅+0.096 x₇-0.256 x₈+0.149 x₉+0.071 x₁₀(R=0.745, SEE=0.341 cm). The back-substitution check showed that the accuracy rate of two equations at ±1SEE were 75.2% and 80.2%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The established regression equations of external features of eyes have high estimation accuracy, which can be used to the practical work of facial reconstruction.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the association between LDL-C and ischemic stroke in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF). Method: A total of 2 470 patients with nonvalvular AF were included in the present study. The clinical data and laboratory examination results of the patients in the hospital were collected. The subjects were either divided into the ischemic stroke history (n=560), and non- ischemic stroke history groups (n=1 910), or divided into the low-middle risk (n=566) and high risk groups (n=1 904) based on CHA(2)DS(2) - VASc score. Results: There were significant differences in the proportion of Han, the ratio of gender, age, hemoglobin, hematocrit, ALT, serum uric acid, HDL-C and LDL-C between the patients with ischemic stroke history and without (all P<0.05). Similarly, there were significant differences in the proportion of Han, the ratio of gender, age, white blood cell count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelet count, ALT, albumin, TG and LDL-C between subjects in the low-middle risk group and those in the high risk group (all P<0.05). A logistical regression analysis showed that LDL-C was an independent risk factor for both the ischemic stroke history (OR 2.089, 95% CI 1.860-2.347, P<0.05), and future ischemic stroke risk (OR 1.270, 95% CI 1.079-1.494, P<0.05) in patients with nonvalvular AF. Conclusion: LDL-C is associated with ischemic stroke in patients with nonvalvular AF, and it is also an independent risk factor for future ischemic stroke in these patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the cumulative effect of family history of cardiovascular disease(CVD)and overweight on ischemic stroke events in the Mongolian population. Methods: Study participants were recruited from 32 villages from May 2002 to August 2012 in Kezuohou Banner(county)and Naiman Banner in Inner Mongolia, China. Among 3 457 Mongolian people aged ≥20 years old living in these villages, 2 589 were selected to participate in this study. None of the participants had chronic kidney disease, malignant tumor, thyroid disease or adrenalopathy, or acute infectious disease. The 2 589 participants were followed for a mean of 9.2 years. Six participants were lost to follow up, resulting in a follow-up rate of 99.8%. Information collected included demographic characteristics, lifestyle risk factors, alcohol consumption, cigarette smoking, history of disease, family history of CVD, and physical examination. Ischemic stroke incidence information was collected during follow-up. All participants were categorized into four subgroups according to family history of CVD and overweight status. Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate the hazard ratios(HR)and 95% CI of ischemic stroke events among subgroups, compared with the subgroup with no family history of CVD and body mass index(BMI)<24 kg/m2(the reference group). Results: Among 2 589 participants, 76 ischemic stroke events occurred after follow-up, and 8 were excluded because of lack of key data. Finally, 2 581 participants were included in the analysis, and the incidence density was 323/100 000 person-years. The cumulative incidence rates of ischemic stroke were 2.48%, 1.86%, 6.67% and 9.00% in the no family history of CVD and BMI <24 kg/m2, no family history of CVD and BMI ≥24 kg/m2, family history of CVD and BMI <24 kg/m2 and family history of CVD and BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2 subgroups, respectively. Using the Cox proportional hazards model, after further adjustment for age, gender, smoking, drinking, FPG, hypertension, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and heart rate, the risk of ischemic stroke in the subgroup with a family history of CVD and BMI ≥24 kg/m2 was higher than the reference group(HR: 2.61, 95% CI: 1.16-5.87). However, the risk of ischemic stroke in other two groups was not statistically significant compared with the reference group. The HR(95% CI)values in the no family history of CVD and BMI ≥24 kg/m2and family history of CVD and BMI <24 kg/m2 subgroups were 1.18(0.5- 2.39)and 1.27(0.67- 2.42), respectively. Conclusion: In the Mongolian population, a family history of CVD and coexistent overweight may increase the risk of ischemic stroke events, suggesting that in people with family history of cardiovascular disease, weight control is conducive to the prevention of ischemic stroke.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of noninvasive proportional assist ventilation (PAV) on respiratory work in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) patients, in comparison to noninvasive pressure support ventilation(PSV). Methods: Ten severe COPD patients with hypercapnia during acute exacerbation were examined. The baseline inspiratory pressure of PSV (PS) and the assistance level of PAV(PA) were titrated by patients' tolerance. In addition to the baseline PS and PA, an additional decrease by 25% (PS-=75% PS, PA-=75% PA) or increase by 25% (PS+ =125% PS, PA+ =125% PA) of the assist level were applied to the patients. After the assessment of unassisted spontaneous breathing (SB), the patient was placed on the 6 levels of noninvasive-PSV and noninvasive-PAV in random sequence. Each level lasted at least 20 minutes. Respiratory rate (RR), tidal volume (Vt), and respiratory work(Wex, Wip and Wv) were measured. Asynchrony index (AI) was calculated. Results: During ventilation, Vt was significantly higher with each assist level than with SB. The Vt was significant increased with PS+ than with PA+ . An increase in expiratory work(Wex) and decrease in inspiratory work(Wip) were observed respectively, with the increasing assist level. The inspiratory muscles assessed by Wip were more unloaded at PS compared with PA [PS: (1.59±1.27) J/min vs PA: (4.99±3.48) J/min P<0.01]. However, the Wex was significantly higher with PS+ than with PA+ [PS+ : (1.17±0.54) J/min vs PA+ : (0.49±0.56)J/min, P<0.01]. The AI was increased with the increasing assist level of PSV [PS-: (0.46±0.57)%, PS: (1.36±1.24)% PS+ : (5.26±4.77)]. No asynchrony events were observed at PA- and PA. "Runaway" (expiratory asynchrony) was observed during PA+ [AI: (2.62±2.72)%]. Conclusions: Noninvasive-PAV can increase the Vt and decrease the Wip of the COPD patients with hypercapnia and avoid the over-assistance. The "Runaway" will occur at assist level higher than that set by tolerance. Physiological data can monitor the patient's responses and the ventilator-patient interaction, which may provide objective criteria for ventilator setting.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of sequencing of adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy following breast-conserving surgery for patients with breast cancer. Methods: A total of 1 154 patients withT1-2N0-3M0 breast cancer retrospectively reviewed. All patients received sequential radiotherapy and chemotherapy following breast-conserving surgery. Among them, 603 patients received radiotherapy first and 551 patients received chemotherapy first. Log-rank tests were used to determine significance of disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates in the Kaplan-Meier curve. Results: The 5-year DFS and OS rates for all patients were 93.0% and 97.8%. The 5-year OS rate was 98.6% in the radiotherapy first group and 96.4% in the chemotherapy first group (P=0.191), and the corresponding DFS rate was 92.7% and 93.2% (P=0.430), respectively. Among the patients with Luminal A subtype, the 5-year OS rate was 99.6% in the radiotherapy first group and 97.8% in the chemotherapy first group (P=0.789). Among the patients with Luminal B subtype, the 5-year OS rate was 94.2% and 96.0%, respectively (P=0.680). Among the patients with triple negative breast cancer, the 5-year OS rate was 100% and 90.9%, respectively, with statistically significant differences (P=0.019). Among the patients with HER-2 positive breast cancer, The 5-year DFS rate was 80.1% and 100%, respectively (P=0.045). Conclusions: The OS and DFS rates in the chemotherapy first group are not significantly different from those of radiotherapy first group after breast-conserving surgery. Patients with HER-2 positive breast cancer in chemotherapy first group have a much higher DFS rate than that of radiotherapy first group, whereas patients with triple negative breast cancer in radiotherapy first group have a better OS rate than that of chemotherapy first group. Further research is warranted to investigate the benefit of different molecular types in different sequencing of radiotherapy and chemotherapy after breast-conserving surgery.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the influence of lumbar sympathetic ganglion radiofrequency thermocoagulation on the activation of spinal microglia in rats with diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP). METHODS Thirty-six painful diabetic Sprague-Dawley rats induced by 60 mg/kg streptozotocin (STZ) intraperitoneal injection were randomly divided into diabetic neuropathic pain group (group DNP, n=12), Sham operation group (group Sham, n=12) and radiofrequency thermocoagulation group (group R, n=12). Meanwhile another 12 age-matched rats were allocated as normal control group (group N), rats in group N received intraperitoneal injection of equal volume of normal saline. Twenty-eight days after STZ injection, rats in group R received L3 lumbar sympathetic ganglia radiofrequency thermocoagulation on the left side under X-ray guideline after anesthesia with damage time 60 s and damage temperature 60 ℃. Rats in group Sham received puncture positioning, but not thermocoagulation therapy. The mechanical paw withdrawal threshold (PWT) were performed before STZ injection, 7, 14, 21, 28 days after STZ injection and 1, 3, 5, 7, 14 days after radiofrequency thermocoagulation, respectively. Blood glucose were performed before STZ injection, 3, 28 days after STZ injection and 1, 14days after radiofrequency thermocoagulation. After the final behavioral testing, L3-L5 spinal cord tissues were removed to exam the expression of microglia marker OX42 by Western blotting and immunofluorescence technique, and the changes in the expression of inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α were detected by ELISA technique. RESULTS Compared with group N, after 14, 21, 28 days of STZ injection and 1, 3, 5, 7, 14 days of radiofrequency thermocoagulation, the PWT of group DNP and group Sham decreased significantly (P<0.05); Before radiofrequency thermocoagulation, the PWT of rats in group DNP was (3.84±0.83) g, the PWT of rats in group R was (4.45±0.88) g, there was no statistically significant difference between group DNP and group R (t=1.514, P>0.05), but after radiofrequency thermocoagulation, compared with DNP group, the PWT of rats in group R increased significantly (P<0.05), and lasted to 14 d after radiofrequency thermocoagulation. The ratio of spinal microglia marker OX42 and GAPDH, the expression of inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in group N were 0.074±0.023, (35.93±6.16) pg/ml, (92.11±13.23) pg/ml, and (169.50±22.64) pg/ml, respectively. The ratio of spinal microglia marker OX42 and GAPDH, the expression of inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in group DNP were 1.023±0.185, (73.82±9.25) pg/ml, (155.33±21.82) pg/ml, and (298.30±33.21) pg/ml, respectively. The ratio of spinal microglia marker OX42 and GAPDH, the expression of inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in group Sham were 0.951±0.103, (73.00±7.54) pg/ml, (151.02±24.26) pg/ml, and (294.01±36.37) pg/ml, respectively. The ratio of spinal microglia marker OX42 and GAPDH, the expression of inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in group R were 0.563±0.019, (51.81±7.36) pg/ml, (123.24±16.13) pg/ml, and (229.23±29.16) pg/ml, respectively. Compared with group N, the expression of spinal microglia marker OX42 and inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in group DNP, group Sham and group R increased significantly (F=7.501, 348.698, 568.021, 145.110, all P<0.05). Compared with DNP group, the expression of spinal microglia marker OX42 and inflammation factor IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α of group R reduced significantly (all P<0.05). CONCLUSION The lumbar sympathetic ganglion radiofrequency thermocoagulation can alleviate diabetic neuropathic pain. The mechanism may relate with the inhibition of spinal microglia activation and the lower expression of inflammation factor.

Abstract
Objective: To study the acute effects of compound ambient air pollution on small airway lung functions among school children in Shanghai. Method: A longitudinal survey on lung functions was conducted among 233 school-children from three schools (A, B and C, located in innerring, mid-ring and outer-ring areas). Lung function test was performed once a week for 3 times respectively, among children in school A and B in Dec. 2013 and in school C in Dec. 2014. The fourth lung function test was tested in Jun. 2014 and May 2015 in the respective schools. Results: from the lung function would include items as: forced mid-expiratory flow at 25% of forced vital capacity (MEF(25%)), mid-expiratory flow at 50% of forced vital capacity (MEF(50%)), mid-expiratory flow at 75% of forced vital capacity (MEF(75%)) and mid-expiratory flow between 25% and 75% of the forced vital capacity (FEF(25%-75%)). Data regarding the daily air quality real-time of PM(2.5), PM(10), SO(2) and NO(2) in Dec. 2013, Dec. 2014, Jun. 2014 and May. 2015 from the three environmental monitoring spots and meteorological data from the Shanghai Meteorological Service system which were physically close to the three schools, were collected simultaneously. Linear mixed effect model was used to examine the levels of correlation between lung function indicators and ambient air pollutants. Results When confounding factors on meteorology and individuals were controlled, the lag effects and accumulated lag effects were found to have existed between the internal quarter rang (IQR) concentration of PM(2.5) and PM(10) in lag2 day and lag02 days, IQR concentration of SO(2) in lag02 day and IQR concentration of NO(2) lag0 day, when small airway lung functions like MEF(25%), MEF(50%), MEF(75%) and FEF(25%-75%)(P<0.05) were inspected. Results from the two air pollutants model analysis showed that SO(2) and NO(2) presenting interactive effects with PM(2.5), PM(10) and lag effects more significant than the individual SO(2) and NO(2), respectively (P<0.05). Conclusion: Contents on the ambient air pollutants as PM(2.5), PM(10), SO(2) and NO(2) were negatively associated with the lung functions in the small airways of children, in Shanghai.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical characteristics, outcome and diagnosis of two cases of imported children Zika virus infection in China. METHOD A retrospective analysis was performed on clinical characteristics, treatment and outcome of two cases of imported children with Zika virus infection in February 2016 in Enping People's Hospital of Guangdong. RESULT Two cases of children with imported Zika virus infection resided in an affected area of Venezuela, 8-year-old girl and her 6 year-old brother. The main findings on physical examination included the following manifestations: fever, rash, and conjunctivitis. The rash was first limited to the abdomen, but extended to the torso, neck and face, and faded after 3-4 d. The total number of white blood cells was not high and liver function was normal. The diagnosis of two cases of Zika virus infection was confirmed by the expert group of Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, according to the epidemiological history, clinical manifestations and Zika virus nucleic acid detection results.Treatment of Zika virus infection involves supportive care. Two Zika virus infection children had a relatively benign outcome. CONCLUSION At present, Zika virus infection in children is an imported disease in China. No specific therapy is available for this disease. Information on long-term outcomes among infants and children with Zika virus disease is limited, routine pediatric care is advised for these infants and children.

Abstract
Antitumor-analgesic peptide (AGAP) is a novel recombinant polypeptide. The primary study showed that AGAP 1.0 mg/kg exhibited strong analgesic and antitumor effects. The tail vein administration of AGAP potently reduced pain behaviors in mice induced by intraplantar injection of formalin or intraperitoneal injection of acetic acid, without affecting basal pain perception. To further assess the mechanisms of AGAP, the effects of AGAP on sodium channels were assessed using the whole-cell patch clamp recordings in dorsal root ganglia (DRG) neurons. The results showed that AGAP (3–1000 nM) inhibited the sodium currents in small-diameter DRG neurons in a dose-dependent manner. 1000 nM AGAP could inhibit the current density-voltage relationship curve of sodium channels in a voltage-dependent manner and negatively shift the activation curves. 1000 nM AGAP could reduce the tetrodotoxin-resistant (TTX-R) sodium currents by 42.8% in small-diameter DRG neurons. Further analysis revealed that AGAP potently inhibited NaV1.8 currents by 59.4%, and negatively shifted the activation and inactivation kinetics. 1000 nM AGAP also reduced the NaV1.9 currents by 33.7%, but had no significant effect on activation and inactivation kinetics. Thus, our results demonstrated that submicromolar concentrations of AGAP inhibited TTX-R sodium channel in rat small-diameter DRG neurons. It is concluded that these new results may better explain, at least in part, the analgesic properties of this polypeptide.

Abstract
Knowledge of the rigidity dependence of the boron to carbon flux ratio (B/C) is important in understanding the propagation of cosmic rays. The precise measurement of the B/C ratio from 1.9 GV to 2.6 TV, based on 2.3 million boron and 8.3 million carbon nuclei collected by AMS during the first 5 years of operation, is presented. The detailed variation with rigidity of the B/C spectral index is reported for the first time. The B/C ratio does not show any significant structures in contrast to many cosmic ray models that require such structures at high rigidities. Remarkably, above 65 GV, the B/C ratio is well described by a single power law R^{Δ} with index Δ=-0.333±0.014(fit)±0.005(syst), in good agreement with the Kolmogorov theory of turbulence which predicts Δ=-1/3 asymptotically.

Abstract
Objective:To research the effect of Six1,TGF-β,VEGF-C that promoting tumor lymphangiogenesis in human laryngeal carcinoma xenografts in nude mice. Method:Technology of RNA interference was used for silencing Six1 and TGF-β genes expression in laryngeal squamous cell, preparation Six1-targeting and TGF-β-targeting siRNA for transfecting into laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, sieve out positive clone cell and amplify. Preparing bearing cancer mice, the mice were divided into five groups, group A (untransfected),group B(empty vector), group C(Six1-siRNA),group D(TGF-β-siRNA),group E(Six1+TGF-β-siRNA). 6-12mm when the tumor has grown, the mice were sacrificed by cervical. The size of each tumor and metastasis were observed and recorded.The protein expression of Six1,TGF-β and VEGF-C was determined by immunohistochemistry and Western blot.The mRNA of Six1,TGF-β and VEGF-C was determined by RT-PCR. Result:The average tumor volume and the number of metastasis cases in group B have no statistically significant compared with group A. The average tumor volume in group C, group D and group E has no significantly reduced, but there is a clear reduction of the number of metastasis cases compared with group A. The average tumor volume and number of metastasis cases in group E has no significantly reduced compared with group C and group D. Both protein and mRNA expression of Six1, TGF-β and VEGF-C in group B had no significant difference compared with group A. In group C, group D and group E,both protein and mRNA expression of VEGF-C was decreased,difference has statistically significant compared with group A. Both protein and mRNA expression of VEGF-C in group E had no significant difference compared with group C and group D. Conclusion:Both Six1 and TGF-β can mediate tumor lymphangiogenesis and lymph node metastasis by mediate the expression of VEGF-C. Suggest that Six1,TGF-β might be a potential therapeutic target for preventing lymph node metastasis of tumor.

Abstract
The martensite/parent coherent interface of Mn-based shape memory alloys (SMAs) is a significant part in the research of their martensitic transformation, reversible shape memory effect and magnetic shape memory effect. In the present work, a chemical-structural model was proposed to calculate the martensite/parent coherent interfacial energy of Mn-X (X = Cu, Fe) alloys. In this model, the coherent heterophase interfacial energy consists of chemical and structural parts. Resulting from the formation process of the heterophase interface, the chemical interfacial energy is expressed as the incremental value of bond energy, while the structural part is obtained by calculating the interfacial strain energy. The results show that the structural interfacial energy plays the chief role in the total interfacial energy, and the total interfacial energy decreases as the temperature rises when the alloy composition is fixed. In addition, the preferred orientation has noteworthy influence on the total interfacial energy. Using the proposed model, interfacial energy, interfacial entropy, interfacial enthalpy and interfacial heat capacity are found to be correlated with temperature and interface preferred orientation. Furthermore, the influences of alloy composition, modulus softening, and the index of the habit plane on the results were discussed.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the reliability and validity of Parkinson's disease sleep scale-Chinese version (CPDSS) through a study of a large PD population in southwest China, and to explore the prevalence and characteristics of sleep disorders in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients from southwest China. Methods: A total of 544 PD patients and 220 control subjects were enrolled in our study. Demographic data, CPDSS, ESS, PDQ39, HAMD and H-Y stage were assessed in all subjects. Statistical description, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC), Spearman rank correlation coefficient and Mann-Whitney U test were used for statistical analyses. Result: The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for CPDSS was 0.79, ICC of the total scale was 0.94 and ICC of each item ranged from 0.73 to 0.97. The factor analysis yielded a five-factor solution, which explained 63.4% of the total variance. Total and each item scores of CPDSS in PD patients were lower than those in healthy controls. 69.3% of PD patients had sleep disorder, while prevalence in the control group was only 29.6%. Negative correlation was found between CPDSS and ESS. Daytime sleepiness was the most common factor (35.9%) leading to sleep disorders. The sleep disorders of PD patients in Southwest China were significantly related with the course of disease, the severity of disease, the quality of life, depression, cognitive level and motor symptoms. Conclusion: CPDSS has good feasibility, reliability and validity in PD population from southwest China. CPDSS is considered as an effective tool for the assessment of sleep disorder in PD patients.
