Abstract
Multicomponent metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have received an increasing amount of attention due to their potential to produce new topologies, pore metrics, and functionalities compared to MOFs with a single metal cluster and one organic linker. Herein, five isoreticular Zn MOFs were obtained by mixing two types of linear ditopic linkers in a one-pot solvothermal synthesis. Interestingly, in the resulting Zn MOFs a six-connected cyclic trinuclear Zn(II) cluster and an eight-connected linear trinuclear Zn(II) cluster coexist, leading to an uncommon (6,8)-connected network. Catalytic activities toward the solvent-free Knoevenagel reactions were observed for all of these MOFs. Further experimental and computational studies suggest that they are Brønsted acid-base bifunctional catalysts. Through chemical modifications of dicarboxylate ligands, including their aromatic backbones and substituents, we have successfully implemented reticular chemistry for the modulations of pore sizes, surface areas, and catalytic performances in a series of four-component isoreticular MOFs.

Abstract
The demand for collagen has been increasing over years due to its wide application in food, cosmetics and biomedicine industries. The synthesis of collagen protein in fish depends on instructions provided by collagen, type I, alpha 1 (COL1A1) gene. However, cloning, tissue distribution and mRNA expression of COL1A1 gene in a gel-producing Chu's croaker (Nibea coibor) is currently unknown. This study cloned the cDNA of COL1A1 gene (GenBank accession number: MK641512) from six N. coibor fish. The distribution and mRNA expression pattern of COL1A1 was analyzed in eight tissues of N. coibor. The COL1A1 cDNA had a full length of 6130 bp and contained a 4344 bp open reading frame (ORF) encoding a polypeptide of 1448 amino acids. The homology of N. coibor COL1A1 amino acid had 98% similarity with Larimichthys crocea, indicating conservatism with other members in same family (Sciaenidae). The deduced polypeptide contained the same signal peptides, C-propeptide and N-propeptide domains, and triple helix domains, which are the characteristics of type I collagen in vertebrates. The mRNA of COL1A1 gene was expressed significantly higher in the spine of N. coibor than in all other tissues (P < 0.05), followed by swim bladder, skin and scales. The swim bladder had higher collagen and hydroxyproline contents than other tissues, followed by spine >, scales > and > skin (P < 0.05). Our study successfully cloned the COL1A1 gene from N. coibor for the first time. The COL1A1 gene contained all the features of collagen pro-α1(I) chain proteins, and shared high homology with other marine teleost. COL1A1 gene in N. coibor is highly expressed in spine and swim bladder, consistent with collagen distribution. Our study contributes to better understanding on collagen biosynthesis in N. coibor tissues for various industrial uses.

Abstract
The Green Revolution of the 1960s improved crop yields in part through the widespread cultivation of semidwarf plant varieties, which resist lodging but require a high-nitrogen (N) fertilizer input. Because environmentally degrading synthetic fertilizer use underlies current worldwide cereal yields, future agricultural sustainability demands enhanced N use efficiency (NUE). Here, we summarize the current understanding of how plants sense, uptake, and respond to N availability in the model plants that can be used to improve sustainable productivity in agriculture. Recent progress in unlocking the genetic basis of NUE within the broader context of plant systems biology has provided insights into the coordination of plant growth and nutrient assimilation and inspired the implementation of a new breeding strategy to cut fertilizer use in high-yield cereal crops. We conclude that identifying fresh targets for N sensing and response in crops would simultaneously enable improved grain productivity and NUE to launch a new Green Revolution and promote future food security.

Abstract
A highly efficient method for the synthesis of aryl substituted conjugated enediynes and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes via selective cross-coupling reactions of 1,1-dibromoethylenes with alkynylaluminums using the Pd(OAc)2-DPPE and Pd2(dba)3-TFP complexes as catalysts, respectively, has been successfully developed. Though the alkyl substituted conjugated enediynes and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes were not obtained, this case is also remarkable as the same starting materials could selectively produce either aryl substituted conjugated enediynes or unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes in moderate to excellent yields (up to 99%) in the different Pd-phosphine catalytic systems.

Abstract
The purpose of our investigation is to explore the putative molecular mechanisms underpinning LINC00858 involvement in colon cancer. The expression of LINC00858 in TCGA data was identified using the GEPIA website. Colon cancer cancerous tissues were clinically collected. The expression of LINC00858, RAD21, and PCNP in colon tissues or cells was determined using RT-qPCR. The interactions among LINC00858, RAD21, and PCNP promoter region were determined by means of RNA pull down, RIP, and ChIP assays. Cell proliferative, apoptotic, invasive, and migrated capabilities were evaluated. Western blot was conducted to determine RAD21, PCNP, phosphorylated (p)-STAT3, STAT3, p-STAT5 and STAT5 and apoptosis related proteins. A nude mouse model of colon cancer was constructed and tumorigenesis of colon cancer cells was observed. LINC00858 was upregulated in cancerous tissues and cells. LINC00858 recruited the transcription factor RAD21. Overexpression of LINC00858 promoted the binding of RAD21 and PCNP promoter region, which increased the expression of PCNP. Silencing of RAD21 or PCNP reversed the promoting effect of LINC00858 on the disease initiation and development. PCNP silencing inhibited proliferative ability and promoted apoptotic ability of cancerous cells via STAT3/5 inhibition, which was reversed by colivelin-activated STAT3. In vivo experiments further verified that LINC00858 enhanced the tumorigenicity of colon cancer cells in vivo by regulating the RAD21/PCNP/STAT3/5 axis. It indicated the promoting role of LINC00858 in colon cancer progression though activating PCNP-mediated STAT3/5 pathway by recruiting RAD21.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the applicability of three different kinds of noise occupational health risk assessment methods to the occupational health risk assessment of noise exposed positions in an automobile foundry enterprise. Methods: In July 2020, the occupational-health risk assessment of noise-exposed positions was conducted by using the Guidelines for risk management of occupational noise hazard (guideline method) , the International Commission on Mining and Metals Guidelines for Occupational Health Risk Assessment (ICMM) method and the Occupational-health risk index method (index method) respectively, and the results were analyzed and compared. Results: Through the occupational health field investigation, the noise exposure level of the enterprise's main workstations was between 80.3 and 94.8 dB (A) , among which the noise of the posts of shaking-sand, cleaning and modeling was greater than 85 dB (A) ; The noise risk of each position was evaluated by the three methods, and the adjustment risk level was between 2 and 5 assessed using the guideline method, between 2 and 3 assessed using the index method, and 5 evaluated using the ICMM model. Conclusion: Each of the three risk assessment methods has its own advantages and disadvantages. The ICMM model has a large difference in value assignment, and values in the results are larger than expected. The evaluation results of the guideline method and the index method are consistent in some positions, there is certain subjectivity in the evaluation using the index method, and the guideline method is more objective.

Abstract
Because errors at the DNA level power pathogen evolution, a systematic understanding of the rate and molecular spectra of mutations could guide the avoidance and treatment of infectious diseases. We thus accumulated tens of thousands of spontaneous mutations in 768 repeatedly bottlenecked lineages of 18 strains from various geographical sites, temporal spread, and genetic backgrounds. Entailing over ∼1.36 million generations, the resultant data yield an average mutation rate of ∼0.0005 per genome per generation, with a significant within-species variation. This is one of the lowest bacterial mutation rates reported, giving direct support for a high genome stability in this pathogen resulting from high DNA-mismatch-repair efficiency and replication-machinery fidelity. Pathogenicity genes do not exhibit an accelerated mutation rate, and thus, elevated mutation rates may not be the major determinant for the diversification of toxin and secretion systems. Intriguingly, a low error rate at the transcript level is not observed, suggesting distinct fidelity of the replication and transcription machinery. This study urges more attention on the most basic evolutionary processes of even the best-known human pathogens and deepens the understanding of their genome evolution.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the regulatory effect and mechanism of DNA methyltransferase 3A (DNMT3a) in hydroquinone-induced hematopoietic stem cell toxicity. METHODS Cells (HSPC-1) were divided into 4 groups, that is A: normal HSPC-1; B: HQ-intervented HSPC-1; C: group B + pcDNA3 empty vector; D: group B + pcDNA3- DNMT3a. RT-qPCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression levels of DNMT3a and PARP-1 mRNA and protein, respectively. Cell morphology was observe; Cell viability and apoptosis rate of HSPC-1 were detected by MTT and flow cytometry, respectively. RESULTS Compared with group A, the expression levels of DNMT3a mRNA and protein in HSPC-1 of group B were decreased, while PARP-1 mRNA and protein were increased (P<0.05); there was no significant difference in the above indexes between group C and group B; compared with group B, the expression levels of DNMT3a mRNA and protein showed increased, while PARP-1 mRNA and protein were decreased significantly in cells of group D transfected with DNMT3a (P<0.05). Cells in each group were transfected with DNMT3a and cultured for 24 h, HSPC-1 in group A showed high density growth and mononuclear fusion growth, while the number of HSPC-1 in group B and C decreased and grew slowly. Compared with group B and C, the cell growth rate of group D was accelerated. The MTT analysis showed that cell viability of HSPC-1 in group B were lower than that of group A at 24 h, 48 h and 72 h (P<0.05); after transfected with DNMT3a, the cell viability of HSPC-1 in group D were higher than that of group B at 24 h, 48 h and 72 h (P<0.05). The apoptosis rate of cells in group B was significantly higher than that of group A (P<0.001), while the apoptosis rate in group D was lower than that of group B (P<0.001). CONCLUSION DNMT3a may be involved in the damage of hematopoietic stem cells induced by hydroquinone, which may be related to the regulation of PARP-1 activity by hydroquinone-inhibited DNMT3a.

Abstract
The present work was devoted to developing rhodamine-like chemosensing systems for cysteine (Cys) optical recognition. Aiming at low background light and minimal photobleaching effect, up-converting nanocrystals were firstly synthesized and latterly coated by α-cyclodextrin, and finally used as an exciting host. An energy transfer procedure from these nanocrystals and rhodamine sensors was established via their spectroscopic analysis and emissive decay dynamics comparison. The binding dynamics of our chemosensors for Cys were revealed to have uncomplicated recognition with a stoichiometric ratio of 1 vs. 1. The addition of cysteine increased the emission intensity of the chemosensors. As a consequence, the luminescence off-on effect with sensing selectivity and linear sensing behavior for Cys was demonstrated. Sulfur modification on our chemosensors was shown to be effective in improving their selectivity and photostability.

Abstract
The fabrication of polymer composites with excellent thermal conductivity typically involves complex matrix or fillers modifications. This study proposed a simple technique based on precursor selection for obtaining highly thermally conductive cellulose nanofiber (CNF)/supramolecule-synthesized carbon nitride (SCN) composites. Fourier-transform infrared tests demonstrated the construction of hydrogen bonds between CNF and SCN; a highly ordered structure and relatively compact in-plane stacking were confirmed via scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction characterizations. Consequently, the resultant CNF/SCN composites exhibited remarkable in-plane thermal conductivity of 11.83 ± 0.41 W m-1 K-1 at 30 wt% SCN content, which was attributed to the significantly reduced interfacial phonon scattering. It also showed evident improvements in electrical insulation and flame retardancy compared with the pure CNF film, where the volume resistivity, peak heat release rate, and total heat release were remarkably enhanced by 1242% and reduced by 59.9% and 15.8%, respectively. Further analysis of char residuals revealed a relatively dense surface, high concentration of carbon materials, and a high degree of graphitization, indicating that the char residual functioned as a robust physical barrier to effectively inhibit combustion. This study provides a facile approach to achieving high-efficiency improvements in thermal conductivity and flame retardancy, and simultaneously facilitating broader applications of carbon nitride in thermal management.

Abstract
As a species without master sex-determining genes, zebrafish displays high plasticity in sex differentiation, making it an excellent model for studying the regulatory mechanisms underlying gonadal differentiation and gametogenesis. Despite being a gonochorist, zebrafish is a juvenile hermaphrodite that undergoes a special phase of juvenile ovary before further differentiation into functional testis and ovary. The mechanisms underlying juvenile ovary formation and subsequent gonadal differentiation remain largely unknown. In a recent study, we demonstrated an important role for Figla (factor in the germline alpha) in zebrafish oogenesis. In this study, we explored the role of Nobox/nobox (new born ovary homeobox protein), another oocyte-specific transcription factor in females, in early zebrafish gonadogenesis using CRISPR/Cas9 technology. As in mammals, nobox is specifically expressed in zebrafish gonads with a dimorphic pattern at juvenile stage. In contrast to the mutant of figla (another oocyte-specific transcription factor), the nobox mutants showed formation of typical perinucleolar (PN) follicles at primary growth (PG) stage in juvenile gonads, suggesting occurrence of follicle assembly from cystic oocytes (chromatin nucleolar stage, CN). These follicles, however, failed to develop further to form functional ovaries, resulting in all-male phenotype. Despite its expression in adult testis, the loss of nobox did not seem to affect testis development, spermatogenesis and male spawning. In summary, our results indicate an important role for Nobox in zebrafish ovarian differentiation and early folliculogenesis.

Abstract
Objective: Patients with advanced gastric cancer have a poor prognosis and a possibility of peritoneal metastasis even if receiving gastrectomy. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) can effectively kill free cancer cells or small lesions in the abdominal cavity. At present, preventive HIPEC still lacks safety evaluation in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer. This study aims to explore the safety of radical resection combined with HIPEC in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer. Methods: A descriptive case series study was carried out. Clinicopathological data of 130 patients with locally advanced gastric cancer who underwent radical resection + HIPEC at the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2020 to February 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Inclusion criteria: (1) locally advanced gastric adenocarcinoma confirmed by postoperative pathology; (2) no distant metastasis was found before surgery; (3) radical resection; (4) at least one HIPEC treatment was performed. Exclusion criteria: (1) incomplete clinicopathological data; (2) tumor metastasis was found during operation; (3) concomitant with other tumors. HIPEC method: all the patients received the first HIPEC immediately after D2 radical resection, and returned to the ward after waking up from anesthesia; the second and the third HIPEC were carried out according to the patient's postoperative recovery and tolerance; interval between two HIPEC treatments was 48 h. Observation indicators: (1) basic information, including gender, age, body mass index, etc.; (2) treatment status; (3) perioperative adverse events: based on the standard of common adverse events published by the US Department of Health and Public Health (CTCAE 5.0), the adverse events of grade 2 and above during the treatment period were recorded, including hypoalbuminemia, bone marrow cell reduction, wound complications, abdominal infection, lung infection, gastroparesis, anemia, postoperative bleeding, anastomotic leakage, intestinal obstruction, pleural effusion, abdominal distension, impaired liver function, and finally a senior professional title chief physician reviewed the above adverse events and made a safety evaluation of the patient; (4) association between times of HIPEC treatment and adverse events in perioperative period; (5) analysis of risk factors for adverse events in perioperative period. Results: Among the 130 patients, 79 were males and 51 were females with a median age of 59 (54, 66) years and an average body mass index of (23.9±7.4) kg/m(2). The tumor size was (5.4±3.0) cm and 100 patients (76.9%) had nerve invasion. All the 130 patients received radical resection + HIPEC and 125 (96.2%) patients underwent laparoscopic surgery. The mean operative time was (345.6±52.3) min and intraoperative blood loss was (82.0±36.5) ml. One HIPEC treatment was performed in 54 patients (41.5%), 2 HIPEC treatments were in 57 (43.8%), and 3 HIPEC treatments were in 19 (14.6%). The average postoperative hospital stay was (13.1±7.5) d. A total of 57 patients (43.8%) had 71 cases of postoperative complications of different degrees. Among them, the incidence of hypoalbuminemia was 22.3% (29/130), and the grade 2 and above anemia was 15.4% (20/130), lung infection was 3.8% (5/130), bone marrow cell suppression was 3.7% (4/130), abdominal cavity infection was 2.3% (3/130), and liver damage was 2.3% (3/130), wound complications was 1.5% (2/130), abdominal distension was 1.5% (2/130), anastomotic leakage was 0.8% (1/130), gastroparesis was 0.8% (1/130) and intestinal obstruction was 0.8% (1/130), etc. These adverse events were all improved by conservative treatments. There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of adverse events during the perioperative period among patients undergoing 1, 2, and 3 times of HIPEC treatments (all P>0.05). Univariate and multivariate logistic analyses showed that age > 60 years (OR: 2.346, 95%CI: 1.069-5.150, P=0.034) and neurological invasion (OR: 2.992, 95%CI: 1.050-8.523, P=0.040) were independent risk factors for adverse events in locally advanced gastric cancer patients undergoing radical resection+HIPEC (both P<0.05). Conclusions: Radical surgery + HIPEC does not significantly increase the incidence of perioperative complications in patients with advanced gastric cancer. The age >60 years and nerve invasion are independent risk factors for adverse events in these patients.

Abstract
Little is known about the influence of the saturation degree of long chain fatty acids (LCFAs) on the bio-methane potential of calcium-LCFAs salts. In this study, palmitic acid and oleic acid were chosen as the model compounds to investigate the impact of saponification between calcium and saturated/unsaturated LCFAs on the methane recovery from LCFAs in anaerobic digestion. A 2.2-fold enhancement of methane yield was obtained due to the formation of calcium palmitate, which was primarily attributed to the enhanced bio-aggregation and significant change of microbial community. However, saponification between calcium and oleic acid decreased the methane recovery from oleic acid digestion. Only partial saponification with excess oleic acid led to 4% increment of methane production. The low bio-accessibility of calcium oleate and the little change of microbial community may be responsible for the small difference of methane recovery due to the formation of calcium oleate.

Abstract
Objectives Adult stem cells uphold a delicate balance between quiescent and active states, which is crucial for tissue homeostasis. Whereas many signalling pathways that regulate epithelial stem cells have been reported, many regulators remain unidentified. Materials and Methods Flies were used to generate tissue‐specific gene knockdown and gene knockout. qRT‐PCR was used to assess the relative mRNA levels. Immunofluorescence was used to determine protein localization and expression patterns. Clonal analyses were used to observe the phenotype. RNA‐seq was used to screen downstream mechanisms. Results Here, we report a member of the chloride channel family, ClC‐c, which is specifically expressed in Drosophila intestinal stem/progenitor cells and regulates intestinal stem cell (ISC) proliferation under physiological conditions and upon tissue damage. Mechanistically, we found that the ISC loss induced by the depletion of ClC‐c in intestinal stem/progenitor cells is due to inhibition of the EGFR signalling pathway. Conclusion Our findings reveal an ISC‐specific function of ClC‐c in regulating stem cell maintenance and proliferation, thereby providing new insights into the functional links among the chloride channel family, ISC proliferation and tissue homeostasis.

Abstract
Charge separation plays a crucial role in regulating photochemical properties and therefore warrants consideration in designing photocatalysts. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are emerging as promising candidates for heterogeneous photocatalysis due to their structural designability and tunability of photon absorption. Herein, we report the design of a pyrazole-benzothiadiazole-pyrazole organic molecule bearing a donor-acceptor-donor conjugated π-system for fast charge separation. Further attempts to integrate such a photosensitizer into MOFs afford a more effective heterogeneous photocatalyst (JNU-204). Under visible-light irradiation, three aerobic oxidation reactions involving different oxygenation pathways were achieved on JNU-204. Recycling experiments were conducted to demonstrate the stability and reusability of JNU-204 as a robust heterogeneous photocatalyst. Furthermore, we illustrate its applications in the facile synthesis of pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-containing heterocycles, core skeletons of a family of marine natural products. JNU-204 is an exemplary MOF platform with good photon absorption, suitable band gap, fast charge separation, and extraordinary chemical stability for proceeding with aerobic oxidation reactions under visible-light irradiation.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the dose-response relationship between cumulative noise exposure and high-frequency hearing loss, and further to provide a basis for the control of occupational hazards of noise. Methods: A Meta-analysis of dose-response relationships was performed on the data of eligible literatures published in China from January 2000.1 to December 2019.12. Results: The initial combined Odds Ratio (OR) and its 95%CI in the Meta-analysis were 1.10 (1.08-1.12) . As the Begg's funnel plot and Egger's test indicated publication bias (t=5.97, P<0.01) , the Trim-and-Fill Method was used for OR value adjustment. The adjusted-OR was 1.09 (1.07-1.12) ; sensitivity analysis showed that the results of this Meta-analysis have high stability; subgroup analysis indicated that the ORs of the steady-state noise group and the non-steady-state noise group were 1.10 (1.08-1.12) and 1.14 (1.07-1.21) , the ORs of the old standard group and the new standard group were 1.10 (1.08-1.12) and 1.11 (1.00-1.24) , respectively. The nonlinear dose-response relationship curve demonstrated that the risk of high-frequency hearing loss increases rapidly after CNE reaches 95 dB (A) ·years. Conclusion: There is a definite dose-response relationship between CNE and high-frequency hearing loss, which can be used to predict the risk of high-frequency hearing loss in noisy workers.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Atorvastatin has been suggested to reduce hematoma volume and improve neurological outcomes in patients with chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH). However, the benefits and harms of atorvastatin use after surgery in elderly patients are not well studied. PATIENTS AND METHODS We conducted a retrospective trial to analyze older people (> 60 years) with CSDH, those who were treated with surgical intervention. Patients were assigned to study group if they received oral atorvastatin after surgery at least 1 week, and patients without atorvastatin medication postoperatively were assigned to control group. The primary outcome was the overall rate of recurrence at 1 month after surgery. The main secondary endpoints were the scores on the modified Rankin Scale (mRS), hematoma volume, mortality, and complications after surgery. RESULTS A total of 49 eligible patients were included - 21 in the study group and 28 in the control group. The baseline characteristics were similar between the 2 groups. At 1 month, recurrence of subdual hematoma requiring repeat surgery was reported in 4 of 21 patients (19.0%) in the study group and in 5 of 28 patients (17.9%) in the control group (p=0.915). The hematoma volume was similar between the 2 groups (p=0.979). A favorable outcome (a score of 2 or less on the mRS) occurred in 90.5% of patients in the study group and in 96.4% of those in the control group (p=0.390). CONCLUSIONS In older people with CSDH, postoperative atorvastatin use barely reduces the incidence of recurrence and hematoma volume.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of silencing DNA methyltransferase 1(DNMT1) to the methylation of the promoter of the tumor suppressor gene wnt-1 (WIF-1) in human chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) cells. METHODS DNMT1 siRNAi plasmid was constructed and DNMT1 siRNAi was transfected into CML K562 cells. RT-PCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression of DNMT1 gene and related protein, and methylation PCR was used to detect WIF-1 gene promoter methylation level. The trypan blue exclusion and MTT assay were used to detect the cell proliferation, flow cytometry were used to detect the cell apoptosis rate, colony formation assay was used to detect cell colony formation ability. Expression of Wnt/β- catenin and its downstream signaling pathway proteins were detected by Western blot after DNMT1 gene was silenced. RESULTS The expression level of DNMT1 mRNA and its related protein in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group and negative control group (P<0.05). After 72 hours of successful transfection, the WIF-1 gene in the control group and negative control group were completely methylated, while in the experimental group, the methylation level significantly decreased. The results of MSP showed that the PCR product amplified by the unmethylated WIF-1 primer in the experimental group increased significantly,while by the methylated WIF-1 primer decreased significantly. After 48 h of transfection, the OD value, viable cell number and colony formation of the cells in experimental group were significantly lower than those in the negative control group and the control group (P<0.05). The apoptosis rate of the cells in experimental group was significantly higher than those in the negative control group and control group (P<0.05). The expression levels of β- actin, myc, cyclin D1 and TCF-1 in K562 cells in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the negative control group and control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION Silencing DNMT1 gene can inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of K562 cells. The mechanism may be related to reverse the hypermethylation level of the WIF-1 gene promoter, thereby inhibit the activity of the Wnt/β- catenin signaling pathway.

Background Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a group of hematological malignancies that may progress to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Bioinformatics-based analysis of high-frequency mutation genes in MDS-related patients is still relatively rare, so we conducted our research to explore whether high-frequency mutation genes in MDS-related patients can play a reference role in clinical guidance and prognosis. Methods Next generation sequencing (NGS) technology was used to detect 32 mutations in 64 MDS-related patients. We classified the patients' genes and analyzed them by Gene Ontology (GO) analysis, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis, protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis, and then calculated the gene survival curve of high-frequency mutations. Results We discovered 32 mutant genes such as ASXL1, DNMT3A, KRAS, NRAS, TP53, SF3B1, and SRSF2. The overall survival (OS) of these genes decreased significantly after DNMT3A, ASXL1, RUNX1, and U2AF1 occurred mutation. These genes play a significant role in biological processes, not only in MDS but also in the occurrence and development of other diseases. Through retrospective analysis, genes associated with MDS-related diseases were identified, and their effects on the disease were predicted. Conclusions Thirty-two mutant genes were determined in MDS and when mutations occur in DNMT3A, ASXL1, RUNX1, and U2AF1, their survival time decreases significantly. This results providing a theoretical basis for clinical and scientific research and broadening the scope of research on MDS.

Abstract
Optical vortices, beams with spiral wavefronts and screw phase dislocations have been explored in applications in optical manipulation, quantum optics, and the next generation of optical communications. In traditional methods, optical vortices are generated using space light modulators or spiral phase plates, which would sharply decrease the integration of optical systems. Different from previous transverse mode conversion outside the cavity, here we experimentally demonstrate a direct generation of ultrafast vortex beam from a Tm:CaYAlO4 oscillator by pattern matching of a six-mirror-folded-cavity resonator. By accurately adjusted the angle of the end mirror and the distance L between the M4 and the SESAMs to control the beam diameter of laser incidence on the gain medium in the sagittal and tangential planes, a stable 2 µm ultrafast vortex laser emission of annular Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) mode was obtained with a maximum output power of 327 mW and pulse duration of 2.1 ps. A simple YAG crystal plate was used as handedness selector and a homemade Mach-Zehnder (MZ) interferometer has verified the vortical property of the LG01 mode. By furtherly controlling the cavity mode pattern matching, other stable transverse-mode operations for TEM00, high-order Hermite-Gaussian (HG) transverse mode and doughnut-shaped beams were successfully realized. This work provides a flexible and reliable way to generate mid-infrared ultrafast vortex beams and is of special significance for applications in the areas of molecular spectroscopy and organic material processing amongst others.

Abstract
This paper reports a fresh and robust strategy to develop polyurethane/polysiloxane pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) with excellent properties by replacing part of C5 petroleum resin with modified lignin. A unique aspect of this work is the use of renewable lignin to obtain modified monomers. The phenolic hydroxyl group of lignin is increased by 21.4% after demethylation, which will help to introduce 6-bromo-1-hexene into the lignin structure through Williamson method. The L3 lignin and C5 petroleum resin are mixed with polyurethane/polysiloxane prepolymer, and furthermore a series of PSAs are obtained under ultraviolet light. It turns out that L3 lignin can not only replace part of C5 petroleum resin, but also obtain attractive and controllable features. Especially when the mass ratio of C5 petroleum resin to L3 lignin is 6:4, compared with pure C5 petroleum resin, the 180° peel strength and the shear strength of PU46 are increased by 24.1% and 91.5% respectively. Additionally, the shear strength on the wood substrate is increased by 320.6%. This study provides an effective method for the preparation of high value-added lignin PSA, and expands the application fields of PSA.

Abstract
Electrocoagulation (EC) is an efficient technology for removing oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. However, the role of the electric field in EC for demulsification remains unclear and an obstacle for improving reactor design and operation. Herein, demulsification and oil removal performance by EC under different electric field conditions were investigated. Increasing the EC electric field intensity was beneficial for oil removal, and tandem EC had a higher electric field intensity than parallel EC under the same current density. When the current density was 0.67 mA cm-2, the chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal rates of tandem EC and parallel EC were 1 136.47 and 745.99 g COD kWh-1, respectively. Oil droplets were polarized by the electric field, and then aligned and aggregated parallel to the direction of the electric field. Increasing electric field intensity accelerated the aggregation of oil droplets, as verified by physical fluid simulation. Furthermore, results showed a higher Al3+ dosage and larger electric field intensity in EC with increasing current density, which was conducive to oil droplet demulsification. These findings provide insight into and a theoretical basis for improving oil removal by EC processes.

Abstract
In the past two decades, ionic conductive hydrogel has attracted tremendous research interests for their intrinsic characteristics in the field of flexible sensor. However, synchronous achievement of high mechanical strength, satisfied ionic conductivity, and broad adhesion to various substrates is still a challenge. Herein, a novel zwitterionic composite hydrogel that displayed excited strechability (up to 900%), satisfied strength (about 30 kPa), high ionic conductivity (1.2 mS cm-1 ), and adhesion to polar and nonpolar materials is fabricated though the combination of waterborne polyurethanes (PU) and poly(sulfobetaine zwitterion-co-acrylamide) (SAm). Especially, this facile strategy demonstrates that PU has a synergistic effect on enhancing mechanical strength and ionic conductivity for ionic conductive hydrogel. Moreover, the hydrogel-based strain/stress sensor shows high sensitivity, wide sensing range, great stability, and accuracy for human body movements detecting and voice recognition. This novel ionic conductive hydrogel has promoted the development of wearable devices.

Abstract
High dietary carbohydrate intake leads to lipid accumulation in the intestinal tract, but the molecular mechanism remains unknown. In the present study, using yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) as a model, we found that (1) high carbohydrate diets (HCD) and high glucose (HG) increased lipid deposition, up-regulated lipogenesis and fatty acid β-oxidation, activated autophagy and induced oxidative stress in the intestinal tissues and intestinal epithelial cells (IECs); (2) lipophagy alleviated HG-induced lipid accumulation via the up-regulation of fatty acid β-oxidation; (3) Akt interacted directly with Beclin1; (4) HG suppressed Akt1 phosphorylation, downregulated Akt1-mediated phosphorylation of Beclin1, activated lipophagy and alleviated the increment of TG deposition induced by HG with S87 and S292 being the key phosphorylation residues of Beclin1 in response to HG; (5) ROS generation mediated HG-induced activation of lipophagy and HG-induced suppression of AKT phosphorylation, activated AMPK and alleviated HG-induced increase of TG deposition. Our study provides mechanistic evidence that high carbohydrate- and glucose-induced lipophagy in intestine and IECs is associated with ROS-AKT-Beclin1-dependent activation of autophagy, which alleviates glucose-induced lipid accumulation. Our findings are important since the regulation of autophagy can be used as potential molecular targets for the prevention and treatment of lipotoxicity in the intestine of vertebrates, including humans.

Abstract
G-protein signaling and ubiquitin-dependent degradation are both involved in grain development in rice, but how these pathways are coordinated in regulating this process is unknown. Here, we show that Chang Li Geng 1 (CLG1), which encodes an E3 ligase, regulates grain size by targeting the Gγ protein GS3, a negative regulator of grain length, for degradation. Overexpression of CLG1 led to increased grain length, while overexpression of mutated CLG1 with changes in three conserved amino acids decreased grain length. We found that CLG1 physically interacts with and ubiquitinats GS3which is subsequently degraded through the endosome degradation pathway, leading to increased grain size. Furthermore, we identified a critical SNP in the exon 3 of CLG1 that is significantly associated with grain size variation in a core collection of cultivated rice. This SNP results in an amino acid substitution from Arg to Ser at position 163 of CLG1 that enhances the E3 ligase activity of CLG1 and thus increases rice grain size. Both the expression level of CLG1 and the SNP CLG1163S may be useful variations for manipulating grain size in rice.

Abstract
The Green Revolution of the 1960s boosted cereal crop yields in part through widespread adoption of semi-dwarf plant varieties, many of which were later found to have mutations in either gibberellins (GAs) homeostasis or DELLA proteins. GA is essential for plant growth and developmental regulation and plays an important role in improving crop plant architecture for enhanced grain yield under high nitrogen conditions. A complex regulatory network governs the spatially and temporally controlled genes expression through integrative GA signaling in response to multiple endogenous and environmental cues. In this review, we summarize current advances in understanding the molecular mechanisms of DELLA-dependent and DELLA-independent GA signaling pathways and their contributions to plant developmental and metabolic adaptations to changes in nitrogen availability. The progress in molecular understanding of the plant growth-metabolic coordination will facilitate breeding strategies for future sustainable agriculture and a new Green Revolution.

Abstract
PURPOSE Chemotherapy based on cisplatin (CDDP) has been established as the treatment of choice for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Malignant tumors respond to microenvironmental alterations through a dynamic balance between mitochondrial fission and fusion. HNSCCs are known to exhibit hypoxic conditions, yet the respective effects and underlying mechanisms of hypoxia on chemosensitivity and mitochondrial dynamics remain to be resolved. METHODS The effect of hypoxia on the chemosensitivity of HNCC cells was determined by flow cytometry. Mitochondrial fission factor (Mff) expression was assessed by RT-PCR and Western blotting in hypoxic HNSCC cells, and further verified in primary CDDP-sensitive and CDDP-resistant HSNCC samples. The biological function of Mff was evaluated by loss of function and gain of function analyses, both in vitro and in vivo. RESULTS We found that hypoxia promoted mitochondrial fission and CDDP sensitivity in HNSCC cells. Importantly, Mff was found to be correlated with chemosensitivity in primary clinical samples under hypoxic conditions. Hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) was found to markedly increase Mff transcription and to directly bind to Mff. Hypoxia enhanced the release of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and upregulated the expression of Mff via HIF-1α in HNSCC cells. ROS depletion in HNSCC cells attenuated HIF-1α expression, Mff expression and mitochondrial fission. Moreover, Mff knockdown led to suppression of hypoxia-induced mitochondrial fission and to decreased CDDP chemosensitivity in vivo and in vitro. CONCLUSIONS Our findings indicate that hypoxia-induced release of ROS can promote mitochondrial fission and CDDP chemosensitivity via HIF1α/Mff regulation in HNSCC cells, indicating that Mff may serve as a biomarker to predict neoadjuvant chemosensitivity in HNSCC patients and as a target for overcoming chemoresistance.

Abstract
Zika virus disease is caused by Zika virus infection, as transmitted by Aedes spp. mosquitoes. Many of the Zika virus strains isolated from patients display different pathogenicities toward humans. The vector mosquitoes for Zika virus are mainly of the Aedes genus, especially Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. However, susceptibility and interactions between Aedes spp. mosquitoes and Zika viruses remain unclear. In this study, we chose two Zika virus strains (FSS13025 and PRVABC59) with different abilities to infect the primary vector mosquitoes Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus. The transcriptomes and small RNA profiles of infected and uninfected mosquitoes were comparatively analyzed, and differentially expressed genes were functionally examined using RNA interference. According to the results, the susceptibility of PRVABC59 was higher than that of FSS13025 in Aedes vector mosquitoes, and Ae. aegypti was more susceptible to Zika virus than was Ae. albopictus. For PRVABC59 infection, specific differential expression profiles correlated with Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus, and susceptibility was significantly affected when three targeted genes were successfully knocked down. Compared with PRVABC59, infection of Ae. albopictus with FSS13025 generated more 21-nt virus small interference RNA. It can be concluded that the susceptibility of vector Aedes spp. mosquitoes to Zika viruses varies and that the interactions between mosquitoes and Zika virus correlate with susceptibility.

Abstract
The historical artifacts displayed in the Museum of Western study on Chinese Medicine at Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine came from a variety of Chinese medical schools in America and European countries. They are in the memorial galleries for some well-known figures, such as George Soulié de Morant (Su Lie), Jacques-André Lavier (La Wei Ai), Felix Mann (Man Fu Li) and Manfred Porkert (Man Xi Bo), representing the development and status of respective Chinese medical schools in America and European countries. The displayed artifacts are nearly 3,000 photos, manuscripts, documents and more than 500 hours of audiovisual materials, including instruments for acupuncture and moxibustion, books, passports, letters and even supplies for their life. The displayed artifacts demonstrate the process and the access of people in the western societies to know, learn and take use of Chinese medicine.
