Abstract
UNLABELLED The relationship between pulmonary function (PF) and bone mineral density (BMD) remains controversial. In the US population, we found a positive association between PF and BMD. Mixed variables such as age, gender, and race may influence this association. INTRODUCTION Based on the data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2007 to 2010, this study explored whether there is a correlation between PF (1st second forceful expiratory volume as a percentage of expected value (FEV1(% predicted)), (one-second rate (FEV1/FVC)), and bone mineral density. METHODS We evaluated the relationship between PF and BMD in 6327 NHANES subjects (mean age 44.51 ± 15.64 years) from 2007 to 2010. The bone mineral density of the whole femur was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). After adjusting for a wide range of confounders, we examined the relationship between PF and total femur BMD using a multiple linear regression model. RESULTS Correction of race, age, alcohol consumption, body mass index (BMI), height, poor income ratio (PIR), total protein, serum calcium, serum uric acid, cholesterol, serum phosphorus, blood urea nitrogen, FEV1(% predicted), and femur BMD were positively correlated (β = 0.032, 95% CI: 0.010-0.054, P = 0.004). FEV1/FVC was positively correlated with spine BMD (β = 0.275 95%CI: 0.102-0.448, P = 0.002). CONCLUSIONS Our study shows that PF is positively associated with BMD in the US population. A variety of factors such as race and age influence this relationship. the relationship between PF and BMD needs to be further investigated, including specific regulatory mechanisms and confounding factors.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and pathological features, treatment, and prognosis of gray zone lymphoma (GZL) . Methods: From July 2, 2013, to February 10, 2021, the clinical and pathological features, treatment, and outcomes of five patients with GZL at the Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences were studied retrospectively. Results: There were one male and 4 females, with a median age of 28 (16-51) years at diagnosis. Four patients had mediastinal (thymic) involvement, two of which had superior vena cava obstruction syndrome, and 3 patients had extra-nodal involvement. There was one case with a limited Ann Arbor stage and 4 cases with a progressive stage. Three patients had cHL-like pathomorphology with scattered Hodgkin-like cells, strongly positive for CD20, positive for CD30, and CD15 was negative; the other two patients had both cHL and DLBCL morphology, with some areas resembling Hodgkin cells and some areas resembling immunoblasts, strongly positive for CD30, and CD15 but negative CD20. Two patients were treated with cHL-like regimens for induction and achieved only partial remission; after salvage therapy with enhanced DLBCL-like regimens, all achieved complete remission (CR) . Three patients were treated with enhanced DLBCL-like immunochemotherapy regimens for induction, and two patients were effective, one of whom achieved CR. Four patients who did not achieve CR were given second or third-line salvage therapy, and all of them recovered. One patient lost parity, one died of disease progression at 35.9 months after diagnosis, and the remaining three maintained sustained remission. Conclusions: GZL is uncommon, usually affects younger patients, is mediastinal and is diagnosed using path morphology and immunophenotype. Patients with newly diagnosed GZL appear to be more sensitive to DLBCL-like immunochemotherapy regimens; relapsed or refractory patients were tended with non-cross-resistant combination chemotherapy or with new drugs.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the related factors of negative conversion time (NCT) of nucleic acid in children with COVID-19. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted. A total of 225 children who were diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted to Changxing Branch of Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from April 3rd to May 31st 2022 were enrolled in the study. The infection age, gender, viral load, basic disease, clinical symptoms and information of accompanying caregivers were retrospectively analyzed. According to age, the children were divided into<3 years of age group and 3-<18 years of age group. According to the viral nucleic acid test results, the children were divided into positive accompanying caregiver group and negative accompanying caregiver group. Comparisons between groups were performed using Mann-Whitney U test or Chi-square test. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related factors of NCT of nucleic acid in children with COVID-19. Results: Among the 225 patients (120 boys and 105 girls) of age 2.8 (1.3, 6.2) years, 119 children <3 years and 106 children 3-<18 years of age, 19 cases were diagnosed with moderate COVID-19, and the other 206 cases were diagnosed with mild COVID-19. There were 141 patients in the positive accompanying caregiver group and 84 patients in the negative accompanying caregiver group.Patients 3-<18 years of age had a shorter NCT (5 (3, 7) vs.7 (4, 9) d, Z=-4.17, P<0.001) compared with patients <3 years of age. Patients in the negative accompanying caregiver group had a shorter NCT (5 (3, 7) vs.6 (4, 9) d,Z=-2.89,P=0.004) compared with patients in the positive accompanying caregiver group. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that anorexia was associated with NCT of nucleic acid (OR=3.74,95%CI 1.69-8.31, P=0.001). Conclusion: Accompanying caregiver with positive nucleic acid test may prolong NCT of nucleic acid, and decreased appetite may be associated with prolonged NCT of nucleic acid in children with COVID-19.

Abstract
PURPOSE Patients with tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO) often suffer from irreversible height loss due to vertebral deformity. However, the prevalence of vertebral deformity in TIO patients varies among limited studies. In addition, the distribution and type of vertebral deformity, as well as its risk factors, remain unknown. This study aimed to identify the prevalence, distribution, type and risk factors for vertebral deformity in a large cohort of TIO patients. METHODS A total of 164 TIO patients were enrolled in this retrospective study. Deformity in vertebrae T4-L4 by lateral thoracolumbar spine radiographs was evaluated according to the semiquantitative method of Genant. Bone microstructure was evaluated by trabecular bone score (TBS) and high-resolution peripheral QCT (HR-pQCT). RESULTS Ninety-nine (99/164, 60.4%) patients had 517 deformed vertebrae with a bimodal pattern of distribution (T7-9 and T11-L1), and biconcave deformity was the most common type (267/517, 51.6%). Compared with patients without vertebral deformity, those with vertebral deformity had a higher male/female ratio, longer disease duration, more height loss, lower serum phosphate, higher bone turnover markers, lower TBS, lower areal bone mineral density (aBMD), lower peripheral volumetric BMD (vBMD) and worse microstructure. Lower trabecular vBMD and worse trabecular microstructure in the peripheral bone and lower spine TBS were associated with an increased risk of vertebral deformity independently of aBMD. After adjusting for the number of deformed vertebrae, we found little difference in clinical indexes among the patients with different types of vertebral deformity. However, we found significant correlations of clinical indexes with the number of deformed vertebrae and the spinal deformity index. CONCLUSION We reported a high prevalence of vertebral deformity in the largest cohort of TIO patients and described the vertebral deformity in detail for the first time. Risk factors for vertebral deformity included male sex, long disease duration, height loss, abnormal biochemical indexes and bone impairment. Clinical manifestation, biochemical indexes and bone impairment were correlated with the number of deformed vertebrae and degree of deformity, but not the type of deformity.

Abstract
We present overall process for developing terahertz (THz) corrugated structure and its beam-based measurement results. 0.2-THz corrugated structures were fabricated by die stamping method as the first step demonstration towards GW THz radiation source and GV/m THz wakefield accelerator. 150-[Formula: see text]m thick disks were produced from an OFHC (C10100) foil by stamping. Two types of disks were stacked alternately to form 46 mm structure with [Formula: see text] 170 corrugations. Custom assembly was designed to provide diffusion bonding with a high precision alignment of disks. The compliance of the fabricated structure have been verified through beam-based wakefield measurement at Argonne Wakefield Accelerator Facility. Both measured longitudinal and transverse wakefield showed good agreement with simulated wakefields. Measured peak gradients, 9.4 MV/m/nC for a long single bunch and 35.4 MV/m/nC for a four bunch trains, showed good agreement with the simulation.

Abstract
AIM To explore skeletal muscle change and its correlation with the myocardium in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) using cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (cMRI) with T1 mapping and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE). MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective study enrolled 50 HCM patients and 35 healthy controls. The extracellular volume (ECV) of the skeletal muscle and myocardium, the presence and absence of LGE of the myocardium, and cardiac troponin T (cTnT), were assessed. In the HCM group, the elevated ECVskeletal group was defined as ECVskeletal >2 standard deviations (SD) above the mean value of the controls. Statistical analyses included Student's t-test, the Mann-Whitney U-test, and linear regression. RESULTS ECVskeletal in the HCM group was higher than in the control group (mean 13.0 versus 10.9%; p<0.001), with 20 (40%) HCM patients having elevated ECVskeletal (ECVskeletal ≥13.7%). In the HCM group, ECVskeletal had a positive linear correlation with global myocardial ECV (r=0.37, p=0.009). In addition, the elevated ECVskeletal group had a higher cTnT than the non-elevated group (log cTnT, mean 1.55 versus 1.16, p=0.045). Furthermore, segmental myocardial ECV in the elevated ECVskeletal group was higher than in the non-elevated group, despite the presence or absence of myocardial LGE (median 30.1 versus 27.2%; 26.5 versus 24.6%, both p<0.001) or hypertrophy (median 29.0 versus 26.0%; 26.8 versus 24.8%, both p<0.001). CONCLUSION In the HCM patients, ECVskeletal was higher than in the healthy controls. Furthermore, some ECVskeletal changes had corresponding changes in the cTnT and myocardium.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the efficacy and safety of laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder carcinoma. Methods: The data of 197 gallbladder carcinoma patients admitted at Peking Union Medical College Hospital between January 2012 and September 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 86 males and 111 females, with age of (64.4±9.8)years(range:35 to 89 years). Patients were divided into laparoscopic group(n=53) and open group(n=144) according to different surgical methods. The general information of the two groups were matched by propensity score matching, and the clinical data and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Categorical variables were analyzed using χ2 test or Fisher's exact test,as appropriate. Continuous variables with and without normal distribution were analyzed using t-test and Mann-Whitney U test, respectively. Kaplan-Meier curves with Log-rank test were used to analyze the cumulative survival rates. Results: Forty-eight pairs of patients were matched successfully. There was no difference in general information, cholecystolithiasis, partial hepatectomy, and tumor stage between two groups(all P>0.05). The laparoscopic group had shorter operation time(t=-3.987,P<0.01),less bleeding(Z=-4.862,P<0.01),shorter total(Z=-5.009,P<0.01) and postoperative(Z=-5.412,P<0.01) hospital stay. Seventeen patients had postoperative complications. According to the Clavien-Dindo system, there were 4,11,1,and 1 patient with grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲa,and Ⅲb,respectively. All complications were improved after active treatment. After a median follow-up of 24(36) months(range:3 to 130 months),56 patients(58.3%) survived without tumor,7 patients(7.3%) survived with tumor, and 33 patients(34.4%) died. According to the Kaplan-Meier curves, there was no significant difference between laparoscopic and open groups in disease free(χ2=0.399,P=0.528) and overall(χ2=0.672,P=0.412) survival rates. Conclusions: The laparoscopic surgery is safe and effective in selected patients with gallbladder carcinoma. It can reduce surgical trauma and enhance patient recovery without increasing complication. Its prognosis is similar to that of open surgery.

Abstract
We studied the mechanism underlying the effect of baicalein on the growth of transplanted esophageal cancer in NOG mice and its effect on the expression of PAK4. For that purpose, we developed a new model of transplanted esophageal cancer (human esophageal cancer OE19 cells (107 cells/ml) were inoculated to NOG mice). Three experimental groups with transplanted esophageal cancer cells received baicalein in different doses (1, 1.5, and 2 mg/kg). In 32 days, the tumors were resected, and the expression of PAK4 and the level of activated PAK4 were assayed by reverse transcription PCR and Western blotting, respectively. The results showed a dose-depending anti-tumor effect of baicalein on the transplanted esophageal cancer in NOG mice: this effect of baicalein (determined by the size and weight of the tumor) increased with increasing the dose of the substance. Furthermore, the anti-tumor effect of baicalein was also confirmed by reduction of PAK4 expression. Thus, baicalein can inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting activation of PAK4. Therefore, our results showed that baicalein could inhibit the growth of esophageal cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of PAK4, which can be an important mechanism of its antitumor effect.

Background
The prevalence of coronary heart disease increases with age and older people accounted for a large proportion of patients presenting with coronary heart disease. Advancement in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has contributed to reduced mortality in patients with coronary artery disease. However, coronary angiography and percutaneous intervention have also increased the risk of developing contrast induced nephropathy (CIN), especially in older patients. More than ten risk assessment tools have been developed to predict CIN. Among these, the Mehran risk score has been the most commonly used in Vietnam. In recent years, new simple risk prediction models have been proposed, including the contrast volume-to-glomerular filtration rate ratio (CV/GFR ratio). The CV/GFR ratio is calculated as the ratio of contrast medium quantity to glomerular filtration rate.
Purpose
The aim of this study was to (1) examine the incidence of CIN in a cohort of older patients undergoing coronary angiography and/or PCI at a tertiary hospital in Vietnam, (2) compare the validity of the CV/GFR ratio and the Mehran score in predicting CIN, and (3) to identify optimal cut-off points of these scales by which can help identify older patients with high risk of developing CIN in this population.
Methods
A prospective observational study was conducted in patients aged ≥ 60 years at a tertiary hospital in Vietnam from September 2019 to May 2020. CIN was defined as 25% increase in serum creatinine from baseline or 0.5mg/dL absolute increase in serum creatinine occurring within 48 hours post IV contrast administration. The CV/GFR ratio and the Mehran score were applied for predicting risk of CIN. Previous studies suggest Mehran score >5 or CV/GFR ratio >3.7 as a predictor of an early abnormal increase in serum creatinine after PCI. Receiver Operator Characteristic (ROC) was applied to evaluate area under the curve (AUC) of the CV/GFR ratio and Mehran score in predicting CIN, and the sensitivity, specificity for common cut-off points that were suggested in previous studies.
Results
A total of 170 participants were included in this study. They had a mean age of 70 years, 33.1% were women. The incidence of CIN was 9.4%. Participants with CIN had higher prevalence of chronic kidney disease, heart failure and anaemia at admission. The AUC of the CV/GFR ratio against CIN was 0.79 (95%CI 0.65-0.92), and of the Mehran score against CIN was 0.65 (95%CI 0.51-0.82) (Figure 1). The sensitivity and specificity for common cut-off points of the CV/GFR ratio and Mehran score are presented in Figure 2.
Conclusions
Our study found that CIN was common in older patients after PCI. Both CV/GFR ratio and Mehran score had good diagnostic value for predicting CIN in the study participants.

Abstract
Cobalt metal is considered as an essential trace element for the animals. Present investigation was undertaken in the peri-urban area to analyze the cobalt availability in animal food chain by using different indices. Cow, buffalo and sheep samples along with forage and soil samples were collected from the three different sites of District Jhang and analyzed through atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Cobalt values differed in soil samples as 0.315-0.535 mg/kg, forages as 0.127-0.333 mg/kg and animal samples as 0.364-0.504 mg/kg. Analyzed cobalt concentration in soil, forage and animal samples was found to be deficient in concentration with respect to standard limits. Soil showed the minimum cobalt level in Z. mays while maximum concentration was examined in the forage C. decidua samples. All indices examined in this study has values lesser than 1, representing the safer limits of the cobalt concentration in these samples. Enrichment factor (0.071-0.161 mg/kg) showed the highly deficient amount of cobalt enrichment in this area. Bio-concentration factor (0.392-0.883) and pollution load index (0.035-0.059 mg/kg) values were also lesser than 1 explains that plant and soil samples are not contaminated with cobalt metal. The daily intake and health risk index ranged from 0.00019-0.00064 mg/kg/day and 0.0044-0.0150 mg/kg/day respectively. Among the animals, cobalt availability was maximum (0.0150 mg/kg/day) in the buffaloes that grazed on the C. decidua fodder. Results of this study concluded that cobalt containing fertilizers must be applied on the soil and forages. Animal feed derived from the cobalt containing supplements are supplied to the animals, to fulfill the nutritional requirements of livestock.

Abstract
The kilometer square array (KM2A) of the large high altitude air shower observatory (LHAASO) aims at surveying the northern γ-ray sky at energies above 10 TeV with unprecedented sensitivity. γ-ray observations have long been one of the most powerful tools for dark matter searches, as, e.g., high-energy γ rays could be produced by the decays of heavy dark matter particles. In this Letter, we present the first dark matter analysis with LHAASO-KM2A, using the first 340 days of data from 1/2-KM2A and 230 days of data from 3/4-KM2A. Several regions of interest are used to search for a signal and account for the residual cosmic-ray background after γ/hadron separation. We find no excess of dark matter signals, and thus place some of the strongest γ-ray constraints on the lifetime of heavy dark matter particles with mass between 10^{5} and 10^{9} GeV. Our results with LHAASO are robust, and have important implications for dark matter interpretations of the diffuse astrophysical high-energy neutrino emission.

Neutralising the testosterone enanthate-induced oxidative stress in rats uterine tissue by propolis and chicory as natural antioxidants. COMPARATIVE EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY 2022. Abstract
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of propolis and chicory on oxidative stress of uterine tissue in rats consuming testosterone enanthate. Thirty-five female Wistar rats (8 weeks old and weighing 200±12 g) were randomly divided between five groups (n=8) resistance training+ testosterone enanthate (RT+TE), resistance training+ testosterone enanthate+ chicory (RT+TE+CH), resistance training+ testosterone enanthate+ propolis (RT+TE+PR), control (CO), and sham (RT). The protocols were as follows: exercise protocol including climb on a 1-meter ladder with 26 steps five days a week for eight weeks, received a dose of 20 mg/kg of body weight of testosterone weekly for eight weeks, and received a dose of 400 mg/kg proplis and 6 g/kg chicory of body weight all days a week for eight weeks. Superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), and malondialdehyde (MDA) were measured as oxidative stress markers. Testosterone treatment resulted in a significant decrease in the amount of SOD and GPX only in RT+TE group compared to the RT+TE+CH and RT+TE+PR groups (P=0.001). There was no significant difference in mean SOD and GPX levels between RT+TE+CH and RT+TE+PR with CO and RT groups (P>0.05). MDA level was significantly higher in RT+TE group compared to the other groups (P=0.001). This level was also significantly higher in RT+TE+CH group compared to the CO group (P=0.000) and in RT+TE+PR group compared to CO (P=0.000) and RT (P=0.003) groups. Although testosterone enanthate leads to oxidative stress in uterine tissue, propolis and chicory reduced this oxidative stress. It seems that more research can be done on the potential effects of natural antioxidants to neutralise the harmful effects of steroids.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the characteristics and associated factors of viral nucleic acid conversion in children infected with Omicron variant strain of SARS-CoV-2 in Shanghai. Methods: The clinical symptoms, laboratory results and other data of 177 children infected with SARS-CoV-2 who were hospitalized in Shanghai Children's Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (designated hospital for SARS-CoV-2 infection in Shanghai) from April 25 to June 8, 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the chest imaging findings, the children were divided into mild and common type groups. According to their age, the unvaccinated children were divided into<3 years old group and 3-<18 years old group. According to the vaccination status, the children aged 3-<18 year were divided into non-vaccination group, 1-dose vaccination group and 2-dose vaccination group. Comparison between groups was performed by independent sample t-test and analysis of variance, and multivariate linear regression analysis was used for multivariate analysis. Results: Among the 177 children infected with Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2, 96 were males and 81 were females, aged 3 (1, 6) years. The time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion was (10.3±3.1) days. The 177 children were 138 cases of mild type and 39 cases of common type. Among the children aged 3-<18 years old, 55 cases were not vaccinated, 5 cases received 1-dose and 36 cases received 2-dose vaccination. Among the 36 children who received 2 doses of vaccination, the time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion was shorter in those vaccinated within 6 months than those over 6 months ((7.1±1.9) vs. (10.8±3.0) d, t=-3.23, P=0.004). Univariate analysis showed that the time of nucleic acid negative conversion of SARS-CoV-2 was associated with age, underlying diseases, gastrointestinal symptoms, white blood cell count, proportion of neutrophils, proportion of lymphocytes, and the number of doses of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (t=3.87, 2.55, 2.04, 4.24, 3.51, 2.92, F=16.27, all P<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that older age (β=-0.33, 95% CI -0.485--0.182, P<0.001) and more doses of vaccination (β=-0.79, 95% CI -1.463--0.120, P=0.021) were associated with shortened nucleic acid negative conversion time in children, while lower lymphocyte proportion (β=-0.02, 95% CI -0.044--0.002, P=0.031) and underlying diseases (β=1.52, 95% CI 0.363-2.672, P=0.010) were associated with prolonged nucleic acid negative conversion time in children. Conclusion: The children infected with Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 with reduced lymphocyte proportion and underlying diseases may have longer time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion, while children with older age and more doses of vaccination may have shorter time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion.

Abstract
Systems of correlated particles appear in many fields of modern science and represent some of the most intractable computational problems in nature. The computational challenge in these systems arises when interactions become comparable to other energy scales, which makes the state of each particle depend on all other particles1. The lack of general solutions for the three-body problem and acceptable theory for strongly correlated electrons shows that our understanding of correlated systems fades when the particle number or the interaction strength increases. One of the hallmarks of interacting systems is the formation of multiparticle bound states2-9. Here we develop a high-fidelity parameterizable fSim gate and implement the periodic quantum circuit of the spin-½ XXZ model in a ring of 24 superconducting qubits. We study the propagation of these excitations and observe their bound nature for up to five photons. We devise a phase-sensitive method for constructing the few-body spectrum of the bound states and extract their pseudo-charge by introducing a synthetic flux. By introducing interactions between the ring and additional qubits, we observe an unexpected resilience of the bound states to integrability breaking. This finding goes against the idea that bound states in non-integrable systems are unstable when their energies overlap with the continuum spectrum. Our work provides experimental evidence for bound states of interacting photons and discovers their stability beyond the integrability limit.

Abstract
Inherent symmetry of a quantum system may protect its otherwise fragile states. Leveraging such protection requires testing its robustness against uncontrolled environmental interactions. Using 47 superconducting qubits, we implement the one-dimensional kicked Ising model, which exhibits nonlocal Majorana edge modes (MEMs) with
ℤ
2
parity symmetry. We find that any multiqubit Pauli operator overlapping with the MEMs exhibits a uniform late-time decay rate comparable to single-qubit relaxation rates, irrespective of its size or composition. This characteristic allows us to accurately reconstruct the exponentially localized spatial profiles of the MEMs. Furthermore, the MEMs are found to be resilient against certain symmetry-breaking noise owing to a prethermalization mechanism. Our work elucidates the complex interplay between noise and symmetry-protected edge modes in a solid-state environment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The goal of this paper is to investigate the use of Potentilla bifurca in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. MATERIALS AND METHODS We analyzed the improvement effect of 3T3-L1 adipocytes under insulin resistance (IR) with the compounds of Potentilla bifurca. RESULTS The Potentilla bifurca can significantly improve the glycolipid metabolism disorder in 3T3-L1 adipocytes (the effect of MC compounds is very significant). It can improve insulin resistance by enhancing the glucose uptake of 3T3-L1 adipocytes, decreasing IL-6 content, and regulating the content of p-Akt/Akt, IKKβ, and p-NF-κBp65/NF-κBp65 in the IRS/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS Studies have shown that Potentilla bifurca has the ability to regulate glucolipid metabolism and can be used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
