Abstract
Aqueous zinc-ion batteries are largely restricted by the unsatisfactory performance of zinc (Zn) anodes, including their poor stability and irreversibility. In particular, the mechanism behind the electrochemical contrast caused by the surface crystal plane, which is a decisive factor of the electrochemical characteristics of the hostless Zn anode, is still relatively indistinct. Hence, new insight into a novel anode with a surface-preferred (002) crystal plane is provided. The interfacial reaction and morphology evolution are revealed by theoretical analysis and post-mortem/operando experimental techniques, indicating that Zn anodes with more exposed (002) basal planes exhibit free dendrites, no by-products, and weak hydrogen evolution, in sharp contrast to the (100) plane. These features benefit the Zn (002) anode by enabling a long cyclic life of more than 500 h and a high average coulombic efficiency of 97.71% for symmetric batteries, along with delivering long cycling stability and reversibility with life spans of over 2000 cycles for full batteries. This work provides new insights into the design of high-performance Zn anodes for large-scale energy storage and can potentially be applied to other metal anodes suffering from instability and irreversibility.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The efficacy of dendritic cell vaccine to treat glioblastoma remained elusive and therefore we conducted a meta-analysis to explore the influence of dendritic cell vaccine on treatment efficacy of glioblastoma. METHODS PubMed, EMbase, Web of science, EBSCO and Cochrane library databases have been searched through October 2020, and we included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing the efficacy of dendritic cell vaccine for glioblastoma. RESULTS Four RCTs and 267 patients were included in the meta-analysis. Compared to control group for glioblastoma, dendritic cell vaccine demonstrated no obvious impact on overall survival (HR=0.59; 95% CI=0.34 to 1.04; P=0.07), progression-free survival (PFS, HR=0.72; 95% CI=0.52 to 1.00; P=0.05), nervous system disorders (OR=0.61; 95% CI=0.29 to 1.29; P=0.20), or adverse events (OR=1.44; 95% CI=0.82 to 2.50; P=0.20). CONCLUSIONS Dendritic cell vaccine may be not effective to treat glioblastoma.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the mechanism of the antidepressant-like effects of Chaihu Guizhi decoction (CGD). OBJECTIVE Chaihu Guizhi decoction at the daily dose of 17 g/kg and solvent vehicle were administered by gavage in 12 and 14 male C57BL/6J mice for 7 consecutive days, respectively. Forced swimming test (FST), elevated plus maze (EPM) test, open field test (OFT) and novelty-suppressed feeding test (NSF) were performed to assess the depression- and anxiety-like behaviors and motor ability of the mice. We further used chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) and social interaction test to evaluate the antidepressant-like effects of CGD in comparison with the solvent vehicle. Western blotting and RT-qPCR were performed to detect the expressions of sirt1, p53, acetylated p53, and the neuron plasticity-related genes including synapsin I (Syn1), Rab4B, SNAP25 and tubulin beta4b in the hippocampus of the mice. OBJECTIVE In FST, the immobility time of CGDtreated mice was decreased significantly (P < 0.05); no significant differences were found in the performances in EPM, NSF and OFT tests between the two groups. In social interaction test, the mouse models of CSDS treated with CGD showed significantly increased time in the interaction zone (P < 0.05). Compared with those in the vehicle group, the CGD-treated mouse models exhibited significantly increased protein level of SIRT1 and decreased p53 acetylation (P < 0.05) with up-regulated synapsin I mRNA expression in the hippocampus (P < 0.05); no significant difference were found in Rab (P=0.813), SNAP (P=0.820), or Tubb mRNA expressions (P=0.864) between the two groups. OBJECTIVE CGD produces antidepressant-like effects in mice possibly through the sirt1-p53 signaling pathway and synaptic plasticity.

Abstract
A 38-year-old man with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma underwent Ga-pentixafor PET/CT for baseline assessment. Ga-pentixafor PET/CT demonstrated multiple focal bone and bone marrow lesions with intense radioactivity. After 9 cycles of chemotherapy against multiple myeloma, the patient experienced serologically complete remission of myeloma. Consistently, the follow-up Ga-pentixafor PET/CT for PET response showed significantly reduced uptake in the previously chemokine receptor 4-positive bone lesions. However, intense and homogeneous uptake of Ga-pentixafor was noted in the thymus with a smooth contour and slightly increased density, which is possibly caused by thymic hyperplasia after chemotherapy.

Abstract
Objective: To study the changes of serum N-glycan abundance in patients with liver fibrosis at different stages of hepatitis C, and to establish and evaluate the diagnostic model for clinical application value. Methods: Data of 169 hepatitis C virus-infected cases with liver fibrosis were enrolled. Nine kinds of serum N-glycans were detected and analyzed using DNA sequencer-assisted fluorophore-assisted capillary electrophoresis technology. A binary logistics regression method was used to establish a diagnostic model based on the changes in the relative content of N-glycans in each stage of liver fibrosis. Receiver operating characteristic curve was used to evaluate and compare the diagnostic efficacy with other liver fibrosis diagnostic models. Results: N-glycan diagnostic model (B and C) had highest AUROC= 0.776, 0.827 for distinguishing fibrosis S1~S2 to S3~S4 and S1~S3 to S4 than GlycoFibroTest (AUROC = 0.760, 0.807), GlycoCirrhoTest (AUROC = 0.722, 0.787), aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (AUROC = 0.755, 0.751), FIB-4 index (AUROC = 0.730, 0.774), and S-index (AUROC = 0.707, 0.744). However, the diagnostic efficacy of model A (AUROC = 0.752) for distinguishing fibrosis S1 with S2~S4 had lower diagnostic potency than that of the aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (AUROC = 0.807). Diagnostic efficiency was improved when the N-glycan profiling and the aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index were combined to diagnose liver fibrosis in each stage, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.839, 0.825, and 0.837, respectively. Conclusion: The serum N-glycan profiling diagnostic model has potential clinical application value in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis in patients with hepatitis C.

Abstract
BACKGROUND: Occupational exposure-related risk of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection has been reported for village doctors in China. This prospective study aims to estimate the infection acquisition in this key population.METHODS: At baseline, all village doctors registered in Zhongmu County were tested by QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube (QFT) and QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus) in parallel. Those negatives for either of the tests were retested to identify conversions at the 2-year follow-up investigation.RESULTS: A total of 367 eligible participants completed the 2-year follow-up survey with frequency of conversion of 5.0% (18/361) for QFT and 6.1% (21/343) for QFT-Plus. The agreement of follow-up results between the tests was 93.2% with a κ coefficient of 0.43 (95%CI 0.20-0.65). Among QFT-Plus convertors, the difference between TB1 and TB2 tubes (TB2-TB1) was significantly increased as compared with baseline results (P = 0.039). Participants from the villages with occurrence of microbiologically confirmed pulmonary TB showed higher frequency of QFT conversions (11.0% vs. 3.2%, P = 0.011) and QFT-Plus conversions (12.3% vs. 4.4%, P = 0.027) than those from the villages without occurrence.CONCLUSION: Our results consistently suggest that capability on occupational protection and M. tuberculosis infection control should be improved in village doctors in China.

Abstract
PURPOSE Estrogen plays a critical role in the invasiveness and metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) through estrogen receptor β (ERβ). However, the antimetastatic effect of the ERβ antagonist fulvestrant was still limited in NSCLC patients. Recently, Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling was implicated in NSCLC metastasis. Our present study aimed to evaluate the synergistic antimetastatic effect of a combination of fulvestrant and the TLR4-specific inhibitor CLI-095 (TAK-242) on human NSCLC cells. METHODS The expression levels of ERβ and TLR4 were detected by immunohistochemical (IHC) analysis of 180 primary NSCLC and 30 corresponding metastatic lymph node samples. The association between ERβ and TLR4 expression was analyzed. The aggressiveness of NSCLC cells treated with fulvestrant, CLI-095 or the drug combination and formation status of their invadopodia, invasion-associated structures, were investigated. The protein levels in NSCLC cells in different groups were determined by Western blot and immunofluorescence analyses. RESULTS Here, a positive correlation between ERβ and TLR4 expression was observed in both primary NSCLC tissue (Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient = 0.411, p < 0.001) and metastatic lymph node tissue (Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient = 0.374, p = 0.009). The protein levels of ERβ in NSCLC cell lines were decreased by fulvestrant, and this suppressive effect was significantly enhanced when fulvestrant was combined with CLI-095 (p < 0.05). Both the migration and invasion of NSCLC cells were suppressed by fulvestrant or CLI-095 alone, and the combination of fulvestrant + CLI-095 showed the strongest inhibitory effect (p < 0.05). In addition, the results demonstrated that CLI-095 also helped fulvestrant restrict the formation and function of invadopodia in NSCLC cells (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Collectively, our study results suggested that CLI-095 enhances the antimetastatic effect of fulvestrant on NSCLC and provided support for further investigation of the antitumor activity of combined therapy with antiestrogen and anti-TLR4 agents in the clinic.

Abstract
Hypothesis: A lack of contraction of cerebral microarterioles to Ang II (“resilience”) depends on cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipocalin type prostaglandin D sythase L-PGDS producing PGD2 that activates prostaglandin D type 1 receptors (DP1Rs) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS). Materials & Methods: Contractions were assessed in isolated, perfused vessels and NO by fluorescence microscopy. Results: The mRNAs of penetrating intraparenchymal cerebral microarterioles versus renal afferent arterioles were >3000-fold greater for L-PGDS and DP1R and 5-fold for NOS III and COX 2. Larger cerebral arteries contracted with Ang II. However, cerebral microarterioles were entirely unresponsive but contracted with endothelin 1 and perfusion pressure. Ang II contractions were evoked in cerebral microarterioles from COX1 –/– mice or after blockade of COX2, L-PGDS or NOS and in deendothelialized vessels but effects of deendothelialization were lost during COX blockade. NO generation with Ang II depended on COX and also was increased by DP1R activation. Conclusion: The resilience of cerebral arterioles to Ang II contractions is specific for intraparenchymal microarterioles and depends on endothelial COX1 and two products that are metabolized by L-PGDS to generate PGD2 that signals via DP1Rs and NO.

Abstract
Background Rosai–Dorfman disease (RDD) and IgG4-related (IgG4-RD) disease are both rare diseases, but in some cases, RDD mimics IgG4-RD clinically and pathologically. RDD mimicking IgG4-RDs (RDD mimic IgG4-RD), referring to disease initially diagnosed as IgG4-RD but finally pathologically confirmed to be RDD, is a clinically rare and confusing disease. To summarize the characteristics of this disease, we prospectively analyzed the clinical features, laboratory parameters, pathological characteristics, treatment and prognosis of patients diagnosed with RDD mimic IgG4-RD. Moreover, by analyzing characteristics of RDD mimic IgG4-RD, RDD and IgG4-RD, we further compared the similarities and differences between RDD and IgG4-RD.
Results 7 patients with RDD mimic IgG4-RD were included in this study and all of them had extranodal organ involvement, especially the central nervous system, which occurred in 5 patients (71.4%). Although serum IgG4 level was elevated in 6 cases (1360–54,100 mg/L), overall, it was still lower than that in IgG4-RD patients. Furthermore, we found a new cut-off value of serum IgG4 concentration for differentiating RDD and IgG4-RD with higher specificity. Pathological findings of RDD also showed features resembling IgG4-RD: IgG4-positive plasma cell enrichments were observed in all RDD mimic IgG4-RD patients, and the proportion of IgG4/IgG in tissues was 10–40% in 4 patients and more than 40% in 2 patients. However, none of the RDD mimic IgG4-RD patients or RDD patients displayed obliterative phlebitis or storiform fibrosis. Most of the RDD mimic IgG4-RD patients were treated with glucocorticoids combined with immunosuppressants, and a good prognosis was obtained following treatment. Conclusions RDD has clinical manifestations that mimic IgG4-RD. However, detailed differences in laboratory parameters and pathological characteristics are present between these two diseases. Our study underlines the necessity to rule out RDD while diagnosing IgG4-RD using pathological findings as the identification criteria and provides advice for both differentiating these two diseases and clinical treatment of RDD mimic IgG4-RD.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To illuminate the prognostic value of ADC (apparent diffusion coefficient), an important quantitative parameter of diffusion-weighted MRI, for multiple myeloma (MM). METHODS A prospective single-center study which enrolled 114 consecutive newly diagnosed MM patients with baseline whole-body diffusion-weighted MRI (WB DW-MRI) results was conducted. Baseline clinical and MRI parameters were analyzed with univariate and multivariate approaches to identify independent risk factors for progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). RESULTS Five different DW-MRI patterns were seen, and the mean ADC value of the representative background bone marrow was 0.4662 ± 0.1939 × 10-3 mm2/s. After a mean follow-up of 50.2 months (range, 15.7-75.8 months), twenty-four patients died and seven were lost to follow-up. The mean ADC value of the representative background bone marrow was showed to be an independent risk factor for both PFS (HR 4.664; 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.138-19.121; p = 0.032) and OS (HR 14.130; 95% CI 1.544-129.299; p = 0.019). Normal/salt-and-pepper pattern on DW-MRI was associated with PFS using univariate analysis (p = 0.035) but lost the significance with multivariate Cox regression. CONCLUSIONS Mean ADC value of the representative background bone marrow predicts both PFS and OS which suggests the role of baseline DW-MRI for risk stratification in newly diagnosed MM patients. KEY POINTS • Whole-body diffusion-weighted MRI (WB DW-MRI) might be helpful to improve the current risk stratification systems for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM). • Morphological parameters as MRI pattern and focal lesion-associated parameters have been reported to be related to survival. However, important functional parameters such as apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values were not incorporated into the current risk stratification model. • This study is one of the first endeavors to delineate the correlation of baseline ADC values and survival in MM patients. It is revealed that the mean ADC value of the representative background bone marrow (L3-S1 and iliac bone) was an independent risk factor for both PFS and OS.

Abstract
Background Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD) is a rare type of non-Langerhans histiocytosis. Skeletal structures are affected in over 95% ECD patients. Due to the lack of proper imaging assessment tools, the alteration of bone microarchitecture in ECD has not been well studied. High-resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography (HR-pQCT) is a newly developed assessment of bone mineral density and bone microarchitecture. Methods We performed a cross-sectional study with 13 patients diagnosed with ECD in Peking Union Medical College Hospital between October 2018 and June 2019. The diagnosis of ECD was based on typical pathological findings in the context of appropriate clinical and radiological manifestations. Bone geometry, volumetric bone mineral density and bone microarchitecture of those ECD patients were assessed using HR-pQCT at the non-dominant distal radius and distal tibia. Those HR-pQCT parameters were then compared to an ongoing population-based database of HR-pQCT for Mainland Chinese. Results As a result, remarkable heterogeneity of osteosclerosis in the HR-pQCT images was found in ECD patients, ranging from apparent normal structure, scattered thickening of trabecula, to homogenous consolidation. In terms of quantitative measurements, total volumetric BMD (383.50 mg/cm3, 1.352 times of normal mean, p = 0.023) of the tibia differed significantly in ECD patients, due to the increased trabecular volumetric BMD (291 mg/cm3, 2.058 times of normal mean, p = 0.003). The increased trabecular volumetric BMD of tibia was associated with remarkably increased number of trabecula (1.7/mm, 1.455 times of normal mean, p = 0.002) and increased thickness of trabecula (0.37 mm, 1.466 times of normal mean, p = 0.003). These differences could be due to the existence of dense bone interposed in the trabecula. Conclusion This study is the first to assess the volumetric bone mineral density and bone microstructure with HR-pQCT in a cohort of ECD patients and indicated that the application of HR-pQCT may help to reveal the nature of bone lesions in the disease.

Abstract
Highlights MoSe2/MoC/C multiphase boundaries boost ionic transfer kinetics. MoSe2 (5–10 nm) with rich edge sites is uniformly coated in N-doped framework. The obtained MoSe2 nanodots achieved ultralong cycle performance in LIBs and high capacity retention in full cell. Abstract Interface engineering has been widely explored to improve the electrochemical performances of composite electrodes, which governs the interface charge transfer, electron transportation, and structural stability. Herein, MoC is incorporated into MoSe2/C composite as an intermediate phase to alter the bridging between MoSe2- and nitrogen-doped three-dimensional (3D) carbon framework as MoSe2/MoC/N–C connection, which greatly improve the structural stability, electronic conductivity, and interfacial charge transfer. Moreover, the incorporation of MoC into the composites inhibits the overgrowth of MoSe2 nanosheets on the 3D carbon framework, producing much smaller MoSe2 nanodots. The obtained MoSe2 nanodots with fewer layers, rich edge sites, and heteroatom doping ensure the good kinetics to promote pseudo-capacitance contributions. Employing as anode material for lithium-ion batteries, it shows ultralong cycle life (with 90% capacity retention after 5000 cycles at 2 A g−1) and excellent rate capability. Moreover, the constructed LiFePO4//MoSe2/MoC/N–C full cell exhibits over 86% capacity retention at 2 A g−1 after 300 cycles. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the interface engineering by incorporation of MoC as interface bridging intermediate to boost the lithium storage capability, which can be extended as a potential general strategy for the interface engineering of composite materials. Abstract
BACKGROUND In order to study the CXCR4 expression with [68Ga]pentixafor PET in different types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, we performed a retrospective study to describe the [68Ga]pentixafor PET/CT imaging in a spectrum of lymphomas and to compare it with [18F]FDG PET/CT. RESULTS Twenty-seven patients with newly diagnosed non-Hodgkin lymphoma were recruited retrospectively. [68Ga]pentixafor PET showed increased radioactivity in lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (n = 8), marginal zone lymphoma (n = 4), diffuse large B cell lymphoma (n = 3), follicular lymphoma (n = 2), mantle cell lymphoma (n = 1), unclassified indolent B cell lymphoma (n = 3), and enteropathy associated T cell lymphoma (n = 3). However, peripheral T cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (n = 1), and NK/T cell lymphoma (n = 2) were not avid for [68Ga]pentixafor. In comparison to [18F]FDG PET, [68Ga]pentixafor PET demonstrated more extensive disease and higher radioactivity in lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma and marginal zone lymphoma. CONCLUSION CXCR4 expression varies in different types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Overexpression of CXCR4 was detected with [68Ga]pentixafor PET/CT in lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma, unclassified indolent B cell lymphoma, and enteropathy associated T cell lymphoma. The uptake of [68Ga]pentixafor was higher than [18F]FDG in lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma and marginal zone lymphoma.

Abstract
Objective: To study the role of neutrophil density and molecular mechanism in neutrophils-mediated inflammatory response induced by monosodium urate (MSU) crystals. Methods: Polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) isolated from healthy human peripheral blood were treated with MSU crystals at different density (5×10(6)/ml, 20×10(6)/ml, 100×10(6)/ml) in vitro. The mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) of PMNs and production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) were detected by flow cytometry. The distribution of MSU crystals was observed by polarized light microscopy. The neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation was detected by immune fluorescence. The cytokines in cell supernatant were measured by beads assay including interleukin 1β (IL-1β) , tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) , interleukin 8 (IL-8) , interferon inducible protein 10 (IP-10) , macrophage inflammatory protein 1 (MIP-1) , monokine induced by interferon-γ (MIG) , macrophage inflammatory protein 1α (MIP-1α) , macrophage inflammatory protein 1β (MIP-1β) . Results: (1) After MSU crystal intervention, the side scatters (SSC) of neutrophils with medium-cell density (20×10(6)/ml) and high-cell density (100×10(6)/ml) were 128±13 and 93±9 respectively, both significantly lower than 170±19 in low-cell density (5×10(6)/ml) group.(2) Similarly, compared with low-cell density group, the MFI (lucifer yellow) of PMNs with high-cell density was 1.8±0.2, also significantly decreased (P<0.05). When co-treated with oxygenated adenosine triphosphate (oxATP), MFI of PMNs were all enhanced consistently. (3) In MSU crystals stimulated PMNs, after adding 2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate, the MFI values were 0.85±0.32, 2.49±0.78, 4.54±1.02 in low cell density groups, medium cell density groups, and high cell density groups respectively, indicating that the generation of ROS was positively correlated with the increase of PMN density (P<0.05). After the intervention of oxATP, the ROS production was significantly reduced. (4) MSU crystal induced NETs formation, especially at high cell density. NETs formation promotes MSU crystal aggregation, which could be partially overcome by oxATP pretreatment. (5) The expression of cytokines were all significantly decreased in the supernatant of PMNs at high cell density exposed to MSU crystals compared with PMNs at medium cell density (P<0.05) . Conclusion: The PMN-mediated inflammation induced by MSU crystals is cell density dependent, and ATP may play a role in partially overcoming the process.

Abstract
As the most important transcription factor in the brassinosteroid (BR) signal transduction pathway, BES1 not only affects growth and development of plants but also regulates stress resistance of crops. The physicochemical properties, gene structure, cis-acting elements and gene chip expression of apple BES1 transcription factors were analysed using bioinformatics, and expression of this gene family was analysed with qRT-PCR. There were 22 members of the apple BES1 transcription factors, distributed on eight chromosomes, divided into seven subtribes (I-VII), and the same subtribe contained the same basic motifs. Gene structure analysis showed that the number and position of exons differed, and there was no upstream and downstream structure. Analysis of cis-acting elements indicated that BES1 transcription factors contain response elements for hormones and abiotic stress, as well as organ-specific elements. Gene chip expression profile analysis revealed that expression patterns of BES1 transcription factors differed in different apple hybrids and different organs. In addition, expression of apple BES1 genes was higher in flowers, young fruits, mature fruits and leaves. qRT-PCR demonstrated that expression of MdBES1 genes was highest 12 h after BR induction. At the same time, there were differences in expression in response to PEG, NaCl and MeJA. This paper provides a theoretical basis for analysis of the biological function and stress resistance mechanism of BES1 transcription factors in apple.
