THU0204 A SUBGROUP ANALYSIS OF LOW DISEASE ACTIVITY AND REMISSION FROM PHASE 3 STUDY OF FILGOTINIB IN PATIENTS WITH INADEQUATE RESPONSE TO BIOLOGIC DMARDS

Background:

Despite effective treatments, many patients (pts) with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have inadequate responses to biologic DMARDs (bDMARD-IR), highlighting an unmet need. It is unclear whether prior bDMARD use affects efficacy of the oral, selective JAK-1 inhibitor filgotinib (FIL).

Objectives:

To explore clinical response to FIL in bDMARD-IR pts stratified by mode of action (MOA) and number of prior bDMARDs.

Methods:

The global, phase 3 FINCH-2 (NCT02873936) study treated 448 bDMARD-IR pts with active RA.1Pts were randomised 1:1:1 to once-daily FIL 200 mg, FIL 100 mg, or placebo (PBO) for 24 weeks. Efficacy was assessed by percent of pts achieving low disease activity (LDA) or remission at week (W)24 as measured by CDAI and DAS28(CRP) stratified by number and MOA of prior bDMARDs. Comparisons were not adjusted for multiplicity. Nonresponder imputation was used.

Results:

In total, 448 bDMARD-IR pts were included, 105 with prior experience with ≥3 bDMARDs (Table). At W24, pts receiving FIL were in LDA at a higher proportion vs PBO, irrespective of number of prior bDMARDs or MOA (Figure 1). For pts receiving FIL 200 vs PBO, DAS28(CRP) ≤3.2 was achieved at W24 by 52% vs 26%, 51% vs 22%, and 38% vs 9% of pts with 1, 2, or ≥3 prior bDMARDs, respectively, and 49% vs 21% and 50% vs 13% of pts exposed to TNF or IL-6 inhibitors; for all subgroups, rates were significantly higher vs PBO (Figure 1). Delta between FIL 200 mg and PBO was maintained irrespective of number or type of prior bDMARDs. At W24, pts receiving FIL achieved remission at numerically higher rates vs PBO (Figure 2). For pts receiving FIL 200 mg vs PBO, DAS28(CRP) <2.6 was achieved at W24 by 36% vs 14%, 30% vs 14%, and 22% vs 6% of pts with 1, 2, and ≥3 prior bDMARDs, respectively, and 31% vs 14% and 29% vs 9% of pts exposed to TNF or IL-6 inhibitors (Figure 2). Delta between FIL 200 mg and PBO was maintained irrespective of number or type of prior bDMARDs. Treatment-emergent adverse events across subgroups were consistent with overall study population.

Conclusion:

Treatment with FIL vs PBO led to higher rates of LDA and remission in pts with IR to IL-6 or TNF inhibition, or to 1, 2, or ≥3 prior bDMARDs, with a similar safety profile to the overall study population. A significantly higher proportion of pts overall receiving FIL 200 mg vs PBO were in LDA at W24. Improved efficacy of FIL vs PBO in pts who previously failed multiple bDMARDs indicates distinct benefits of selective JAK-1 inhibition with FIL.

[Associations between postprocedural D-dimer, hs-CRP, LDL-C levels and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction patients treated by percutaneous coronary intervention]

Objective: To investigate the association between postprocedural D-dimer, high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and outcomes of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients treated by percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI), in order to clarify the impacts of thrombotic, inflammatory and cholesterol risks on long-term prognosis. Methods: Patients with AMI who underwent emergency PCI from January 2010 to June 2017 in Fuwai Hospital with complete baseline data were enrolled. Patients were stratified into four groups according to quartiles of D-dimer, hs-CRP and LCL-C. Cox regression was used to analyze the relationship between these biomarkers and prognosis. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) was used to characterize the continuous association between risk of all-cause death and biomarkers. The primary outcome was all-cause death. Results: A total of 3 614 patients were included in the analysis. The age was (59.2±12.0) years old, and 2 845 (78.7%) were male and 3 161 (87.5%) patients were diagnosed as ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. The follow-up time was 652 (414, 1 880) days. Survival analysis showed that postprocedural D-dimer and hs-CRP were significantly associated with all-cause mortality (all P<0.05). Cox regression with multiple adjustments showed that patients with D-dimer≥580 μg/L presented higher risk of all-cause death (HR=2.03, 95%CI 1.22-3.38, P=0.006), compared to patients with D-dimer<220 μg/L. RCS analysis showed that risk of all-cause death was stably high when D-dimer reached 500 μg/L. Multivariable Cox regression also showed that patients with hs-CRP<2.74 mg/L (HR=1.86, 95%CI 1.10-3.15, P=0.020)or hs-CRP≥11.99 mg/L (HR=2.14, 95%CI 1.35-3.40, P=0.001) presented higher mortality compared to patients whose hs-CRP was 2.74-7.18 mg/L. RCS analysis indicated a J-shaped relation between hs-CRP and mortality, as greater risk of death was observed when hs-CRP was lower than 2 mg/L or higher than 10 mg/L. LDL-C was not associated with outcomes (all P>0.05). Conclusions: Postprocedural D-dimer is significantly associated with long-term prognosis of AMI patients treated by PCI. Patients with extremely high or low levels of hs-CRP presents worse outcomes. Intensive and tailored antithrombotic or anti-inflammatory therapies should be considered for patients with increased thrombotic risk and those with extremely high or low inflammatory risk.

Comparison of hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma and non-hepatitis B, non-hepatitis C hepatocellular carcinoma on contrast-enhanced ultrasound

PURPOSE

The purpose of this study was to retrospectively compare the imaging features of hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma (HEAML) to those of hepatocellular carcinoma negative for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody (NBNC-HCC) on contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) with sulphur hexafluoride microbubbles.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Twenty-two patients (4 men, 18 women) with a mean age of 42.6±10.2 (SD) years (range: 22-63 years) with histopathologically confirmed HEMAL were included in the study. Forty-four patients (30 men, 14 women) with a mean age of 57.3±15.9 years (range: 19-85 years) with histopathologically confirmed NBNC-HCC were randomly selected from our institution's database as a control group. The CEUS characteristics of the two groups were compared.

RESULTS

On conventional ultrasound, significant differences in tumor diameter were found between HEAML (4.0±2.0 [SD] cm; range: 1.3-8.9cm) and NBNC-HCC (8.4±4.4 [SD] cm; range: 1.6-18cm) (P<0.001) as well as in degrees of enhancement during the portal (P=0.001) and late phases (P=0.003), contrast distribution (P<0.001) and absence of pseudocaspule (P<0.001). On CEUS, hyperenhancement during the arterial phase was observed in 21/22 (95.5%) HEAMLs and in 43/44 (97.7%) NBNC-HCCs (P>0.999). Homogeneous enhancement was more frequent in HEAMLs (20/22; 90.9%) than in NBNC-HCCs (13/44; 29.6%) (P<0.001). Pseudocapsule was observed in 0/22 HEAMLs (0.0%) and in 36/44 NBNC-HCCs (81.8%) (P=0.017). A prolonged enhancement was observed in 5/22 HEAMLs (22.7%) and in 0/44 NBNC-HCCs (0.0%) (P<0.001) during the late phase.

CONCLUSION

CEUS with sulphur hexafluoride microbubbles is helpful in discriminating between HEAML and NBNC-HCC. Homogeneous enhancement and lack of pseudocapsule are suggestive features for the diagnosis of HEAML.

The tumor suppressor NOR1 suppresses cell growth, invasiveness, and tumorigenicity in glioma

Oxidored-nitro domain-containing protein 1 (NOR1) is a tumor suppressor downregulated in various human cancers, including nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), lung cancer, and testicular cancer. NOR1 protein is highly expressed in the normal brain; however, its role in brain tumors remains unknown. In this study, we demonstrated that the NOR1 protein level was decreased in glioma tissue samples as compared to its normal counterpart. Exogenously expressed NOR1 protein in glioma U251 cells inhibits tumor cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Re-expression of NOR1 induced cell cycle S to G2 phase arrest and suppressed its tumorigenicity in nude mice. Overexpression of NOR1 in U251 cells also led to a decrease of Ki67 expression in xenografts. Transcriptomic analysis revealed that NOR1 expression altered the expression of genes favored cell proliferation. Among the differentially expressed genes, FOXR2, a member of the FOX gene family, which promotes glioma progression, was decreased in NOR1 expressing cells. The downregulation of FOXR2 by NOR1 was validated in vitro and in vivo. Our findings suggest for the first time that NOR1 suppresses glioma progression via modulating the FOXR2 expression.

Cosmetic approach selection in parotidectomy for benign parotid gland tumour according to its location

OBJECTIVE

The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and aesthetic results when comparing two cosmetic approaches that were employed in parotidectomy according to the tumour location with the traditional Blair approach.

DESIGN

Retrospective study.

SETTING

Tertiary Referral Centre.

PATIENTS

Seventy-six patients were included in the study.

RESULTS

The degree of satisfaction with the cosmetic incision approach was significantly higher than that with the traditional Blair approach. The incidence of transient facial paralysis and salivary fistula were not statistically significant when compared with those in the traditional incision in 6-month follow-up post-operatively.

DISCUSSION

Conventional parotidectomy using the traditional Blair incision (or its modification) usually leaves a visible scar in this region, which can have major adverse impacts on the social or psychological well-being of an individual. To achieve better aesthetic results, according to the location of the benign parotid tumour, two formal cosmetic approach incisions could be performed in parotidectomy, which was superior to the traditional Blair incision. The authors propose that these two cosmetic approaches for parotidectomy can be both technically feasible and safe.

The ability of Lactobacillus rhamnosus to bind patulin and its application in apple juice

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ability of Lactobacillus rhamnosus to bind patulin (PAT) in the buffer solution and apple juice. The binding of L. rhamnosus to PAT was reversible, which improved the stability of the bacterial complex. The ability to bind PAT can be enhanced with the inactivation of the strain by high temperature and acid treatment. Acid-treated bacteria had the highest PAT binding rate of 72.73±1.05%. The binding rates of acid and high temperature (121 °C) treatments were increased by 21.37% and 19.15%, respectively. L. rhamnosus showed the best detoxification ability to PAT at 37 °C, where the binding rate reached 50.9±1.03%. When the dose of inactivated bacteria powder was 0.02 g ml−1, the minimum concentration of PAT in apple juice was 0.37 µg ml−1. The addition of the L. rhamnosus inactivated powder did not affect the quality of the juice product and effectively bound the PAT in apple juice.

Development of an indirect ELISA based on glycoprotein B gene for detecting of Feline herpesvirus type 1

The study was aimed to develop an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), which can detect specifically Feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1). The primers were designed based on the conserved sequence of FHV-1 glycoprotein B gene. The recombinant protein with reactogenicity was purified as coating antigen of the assay. The indirect ELISA, characterized by high sensitivity showed no cross-reaction with two types of feline virus, had detection limit at 1:2000 dilution. The positive rate of the assay, according to the determined cutoff value (0.25), was basically consistent with Feline Herpes Virus Antibody ELISA kit. In conclusion, the indirect ELISA with high repeatability and reproducibility can be used for detecting FHV-1, and can provide necessary support to related research.

Seeded optical parametric oscillator light source for precision spectroscopy

Precision spectroscopy of fundamental bands of molecules in the mid-infrared (MIR) region is of great interest in applications of trace detection and testing fundamental physics, where high-power and narrow-linewidth MIR lasers are needed. By using a frequency-stabilized near-infrared laser as a seed of the signal light of a continuous-wave optical parametric oscillator, we established a broadly tunable MIR light source that has an output power of several hundred milliwatts and a linewidth of a few tens of kilohertz. The MIR laser frequency drift was reduced to below 1 kHz by using an optical frequency comb to stabilize the frequency of the 1064 nm pumping laser. The performance of the light source was investigated and tested by measuring the saturated absorption spectroscopy of a few molecular transitions at 3.3 µm.

Identification of factors associated with minimal erythema dose variations in a large-scale population study of 22 146 subjects

Background

Minimal erythema dose (MED) has substantial inter‐ and intraindividual variations, reflecting the influence of very diverse factors. However, related studies showed little consistency probably because of their limited sample size.

Objective

To identify the factors associated with MED variations in a large‐scale population study.

Methods

The MED test was performed by following the international standard procedure on 22 146 subjects. The results were analysed in adjusted multivariable linear and logistic regression models.

Results

This large‐scale study revealed that lower MED was consistently associated with lighter skin [β‐coefficient = −0.33, 95% confidence interval (CI) −0.36 to 0.30, P = 6.41 × 10⁻⁸⁴]. Females had significantly higher MED than male (β = 0.91, 0.32–1.50, P = 2.93 × 10⁻³). Stratified analyses showed that MED was not associated with age [female: odds ratio (OR) = 0.99, 0.98–1.01; male: OR = 0.99, 0.97–1.00]. MED was lower in summer than in other seasons (spring: OR = 1.08, 1.06–1.11; autumn: OR = 1.11, 1.08–1.13; winter: OR = 1.20, 1.18–1.22). Furthermore, MED was associated with air temperature (β = −0.36, −0.49 to 0.23, P = 4.81 × 10⁻⁸) and air pressure (β = −0.64, −0.82 to 0.46, P = 8.01 × 10⁻¹²) in summer only while not in other seasons.

Conclusions

This study provides unprecedented evidence that MED is associated with skin colour, sex, season and meteorological factors, but not with age.

P896 Feasibility and accuracy of echocardiographic estimates of tricuspid annular displacement

Background

Tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE) is a validated index of right ventricular function in heart failure. Current guidelines recommend that TAPSE be measured employing M-mode echocardiography (TAPSEM). However, TAPSEM is often overlooked during routine clinical assessment. This study aimed to assess the correlation and strength of agreement between other retrospectively obtainable echocardiographic equivalents of tricuspid annular displacement during systole (TAD) and TAPSEM.

Methods

An echocardiographic review was performed in consecutive subjects in sinus rhythm referred for the assessment of dyspnoea or heart failure. TAD was measured employing 2D (TAD2D), tissue velocity imaging (TADTVI), and speckle tracking echocardiography (TADSTE) and compared with TAPSEM as reference.

Results

100 subjects were analysed (age: 61± 14; 49% Female) All methods demonstrated good feasibility. Of all the evaluated methods, TAD2D demonstrated the strongest association with TAPSEM with minimal bias and reasonable limits of agreement (Table 1). Bias between methods was further reduced in subjects with significant pulmonary hypertension (RVSP &gt; 50mmHg (35%); Bland-Altman mean ± SD = 0.09 ± 2.0 mm). A good agreement between TADSTE and TAPSEM was as well observed. In contrast, TADTVI yielded an underestimation of TAPSEM.

Conclusions

TAD2D and TADSTE provide feasible and accurate alternatives to TAPSEM and maybe useful during retrospective analysis of RV longitudinal function.

[Determinants of pregnancy rate in the donor oocyte model: a multivariate analysis of frozen-thawed embryo transfers]

Objective: To determine independent factors of pregnancy in the recipient after frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FTET). Methods: We performed a retrospective study of 431 patients who had undergone embryo transfer after oocyte donation (OD), in vitro fertilization and embryo cryopreservation between April 2009 and December 2018 at our Reproductive Center. Comparison of general data between clinical pregnant group and non-pregnant group; Logistic regression were used to identify independent factors of pregnancy. The ability of independent factors of pregnancy was assessed by receiver operating characteristics (ROC). Results: ①Pregnancy rates were significantly higher in women with more embryos, more high-quality embryos, more transferred embryos and higher basalfollicular stimulation hormone(FSH) (P<0.05). Pregnancy rate of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) (75.00%) was higher than advanced age (55.83%,P=0.005) and chromosome abnormality (56.86%,P=0.021). ②Using logistic regression analysis, the POI (OR=2.065, 95%CI=1.026-4.156), basal FSH(OR=1.499, 95%CI=1.072-1.959), high-quality embryos (OR=1.449, 95%CI=1.072-1.959) and transferred embryos (OR=2.583, 95%CI=1.519-4.391)were independent predictors of pregnancy (P<0.05). ③The ROC curves revealed the cut-off points of basal FSH was 19.28U/L for pregnancy, the areas under the curve of basal FSH was 0.627, 95%CI=0.572-0.680. According basal FSH and age, all patients were further divided into four groups, pregnancy rates were significantly higher in ≤40 years and FSH>19U/L group (P<0.05). We contain pregnancy rates and multiple pregnancy rates of two transferred embryos were higher than one (P<0.01). Conclusions: This study supports that pregnancy rates of POI was higher than other infertility diagnosis needed OD. Pregnancy rates of two transferred embryos were higher than one, but multiple pregnancy rates was also higher than one.

Introduction of Water-Vapor Broadening Parameters and Their Temperature-Dependent Exponents Into the HITRAN Database: Part I-CO2, N2O, CO, CH4, O2, NH3, and H2S

The amount of water vapor in the terrestrial atmosphere is highly variable both spatially and temporally. In the tropics it sometimes constitutes 4-5% of the atmosphere. At the same time collisional broadening of spectral lines by water vapor is much larger than that by nitrogen and oxygen. Therefore, in order to accurately characterize and model spectra of the atmospheres with significant amounts of water vapor, the line-shape parameters for spectral lines broadened by water vapor are required. In this work, the pressure-broadening parameters (and their temperature-dependent exponents) due to the pressure of water vapor for spectral lines of CO2, N2O, CO, CH4, O2, NH3, and H2S from both experimental and theoretical studies were collected and carefully reviewed. A set of semiempirical models based on these collected data was proposed and then used to estimate water broadening and its temperature dependence for all transitions of selected molecules in the HITRAN2016 database.

Atorvastatin improves plaque stability in diabetic atherosclerosis through the RAGE pathway

OBJECTIVE

To study the improving effect of atorvastatin on plaque stability in diabetes mellitus (DM) mice complicated with atherosclerosis.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Apolipoprotein E (ApoE)-/- mice were used to establish the DM mouse model. Half of the mice received atorvastatin after successful modeling. ApoE-/- and C57BL/6J mice were used as controls. Oil red O staining and Masson staining were performed to detect the lipid and collagen components in mice. Immunohistochemical assay was used to observe the expressions of smooth muscle cell (SMC) and Ly-6c. The expressions of receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) in tissues were detected by Western blotting. Finally, the levels of serum soluble RAGE (sRAGE), advanced glycation end products (AGEs), malondialdehyde (MDA) and reduced glutathione (GSH) in mice were also detected.

RESULTS

Atorvastatin reduced the area of atherosclerotic plaque and improved the stability of arterial plaque through reducing lipid deposition, the number of macrophages and SMC, increasing collagen fibers. In mice in atorvastatin group, the levels of serum AGEs and sRAGE were decreased. Moreover, atorvastatin inhibited the downstream pathway of RAGE as well as DM, thus inducing the oxidative stress.

CONCLUSIONS

Atorvastatin improves plaque stability in diabetic atherosclerosis through the RAGE pathway.

106Plasma trimethylamine N-oxide is associated with culprit plaque characterization as assessed by optical coherence tomography in patients with acute myocardial infarction

Background

Previous study have demonstrated that plasma trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) is associated with vulnerable plaque characteristics as assessed by optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patients with coronary artery disease. However, the relation between TMAO and the culprit plaque characteristics as assessed by OCT in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) exhibiting plaque rupture at the site of the culprit stenosis is unknown.

Objective

To explore the relation between plasma TMAO and coronary culprit plaque characterization assessed by OCT in AMI patients exhibiting plaque rupture.

Method

We prospectively enrolled 90 AMI patients with plaque rupture identified by OCT and collected demographic data, risk factors, coronary angiography and OCT data, medical history and laboratory findings of all patients. Plasma TMAO levels were detected by stable isotope dilution liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Macrophage presence in coronary culprit plaque was quantified by normalized standard deviation (NSD).

Result

All patients were divided into two groups (high TMAO group and low TMAO group) according to the median plasma TMAO level (3.22uM). The culprit plaques in the high TMAO group exhibited a thinner fibrous cap thickness (60um [60–100um] versus 90um [70–110um], P=0.013]), higher frequency of thin-cap fibroatheroma (TCFA) (15.6% versus 55.6%, P<0.001), microvessel (24.4% versus 4.4%, P=0.014) and macrophage infiltration (66.7% versus 26.7%, P<0.001) compared with the low TMAO group. Moreover, the level of TMAO was significantly positively associated with NSD (Pearson's correlation coefficient: r=0.766, P<0.001).

Conclusion

Plasma TMAO levels are associated with coronary plaque vulnerability and inflammation in patients with AMI exhibiting plaque rupture.

P819Post-procedural cholesterol and inflammatory risk in acute myocardial infarction patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

Objective

This study sought to depict the combined association of post-procedural cholesterol and inflammatory risk with clinical outcomes among acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and pick out patients with highest comprehensive risk.

Methods

A total of 4802 AMI-PCI patients were divided into quartiles according to post-procedural low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), C-reactive protein (CRP) level respectively and in combinations for risk analysis. Univariate and adjusted multivariate analysis with Cox model were performed. Hazard ratio (HR) for short-term (90 days) and long-term (1 year) were compared for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), including cardiac death, recurrent myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke.

Results

A significant change in the hazards of 90-day MACE was seen among patients in the highest quartile of post-procedural LDL-C [HR: 0.526 (0.291, 0.951), p=0.034] and highest quartile of CRP [HR: 2.119 (1.150, 3.920), p=0.016]. For 1-year outcomes, only a trend for increasing risk was seen in patients with higher post-procedural CRP (p-trend = 0.016). Combination analysis for cholesterol/inflammatory risk showed that patients lying simultaneously in the lowest quartile of LDL-C and highest quartile of CRP gained the highest risk in the 90-day [HR: 3.16 (1.124, 8.886), p=0.029] and 1-year [HR: 2.515 (1.153, 5.486), p=0.020] follow up.

Combined cholesterol/inflammatory risk

Conclusion

AMI-PCI patients with lower post-procedural LDL-C and higher CRP might encounter greater cardiovascular risk. Patients with the lowest LDL-C and highest CRP gained extremely high risk and required special attention.

P6509Plasma trimethylamine n-oxide level is associated with neoatherosclerosis in patients with very late stent thrombosis

Background

Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) has been demonstrated to promote the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. It is unknown whether plasma TMAO is associated with neoatherosclerosis, an important underlying mechanism of very late stent thrombosis (VLST). We investigated the relationship between the culprit plaque morphology and plasma TMAO concentration in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction caused by VLST.

Methods

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was used to evaluate the culprit lesion morphology. Thirty consecutive patients with VLST were enrolled; 17 patients were identified as neoatherosclerosis and 13 without neoatherosclerosis. Patients with neoatheroslcerosis were further divided into two subgroups, including 11 patients with plaque rupture and 6 without plaque rupture, respectively.

Results

The plasma TMAO levels were significantly higher in patients with VLST than in healthy individuals (3.64 μM [2.08–4.58] vs. 1.47 μM [0.89–2.75], p<0.001). Within VLST patients, plasma TMAO levels were significantly higher in patients with neoatherosclerosis than in those without neoathersclerosis (4.35 μM [3.43–5.37] vs. 2.02 μM [1.30–3.59]; p<0.001). The logistic analysis revealed that plasma TMAO was a predictor of neoatherosclerosis (odds ratio: 3.35, 95% confidence interval: 1.40–8.03; p=0.007). In addition, patients with neoatherosclerosis with plaque rupture had significantly elevated plasma TMAO concentration than those without plaque rupture (5.29 μM [4.35–7.21] vs. 3.63 μM [3.02–3.92]; p=0.012). The area under receiver operating characteristic curve for patients with neoatherosclerosis versus those without neoatherosclerosis was 0.87, the corresponding sensitivity and specificity was 0.77 and 0.88, respectively.

The comparison of plasma TMAO level

Conclusions

High plasma TMAO was associated with neoatherosclerosis and plaque rupture in patients with VLST.
