Abstract
Using 2.93 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV, the observation of the D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} semileptonic decay is presented. The statistical significance of the decay D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} is greater than 10σ. The branching fraction of D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} is measured to be (1.09±0.13_{-0.16}^{+0.09}±0.12)×10^{-3}. Here, the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third originates from the assumed branching fraction of K_{1}(1270)^{-}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{-}. The fraction of longitudinal polarization in D^{0}→K_{1}(1270)^{-}e^{+}ν_{e} is determined for the first time to be 0.50±0.19_{stat}±0.08_{syst}.

Abstract
The absolute branching fraction of Λ→pμ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} is reported for the first time based on an e^{+}e^{-} annihilation sample of 10×10^{9} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at sqrt[s]=3.097 GeV. The branching fraction is determined to be B(Λ→pμ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ})=[1.48±0.21(stat)±0.08(syst)]×10^{-4}, which is improved by about 30% in precision over the previous indirect measurements. Combining this result with the world average of B(Λ→pe^{-}ν[over ¯]_{e}), we obtain the ratio {[Γ(Λ→pμ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ})]/[Γ(Λ→pe^{-}ν[over ¯]_{e})]} to be 0.178±0.028, which agrees with the standard model prediction assuming lepton flavor universality. The asymmetry of the branching fractions of Λ→pμ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} and Λ[over ¯]→p[over ¯]μ^{+}ν_{μ} is also determined, and no evidence for CP violation is found.

Abstract
We report a measurement of the observed cross sections of e^{+}e^{-}→J/ψX based on 3.21 fb^{-1} of data accumulated at energies from 3.645 to 3.891 GeV with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider. In analysis of the cross sections, we measured the decay branching fractions of B(ψ(3686)→J/ψX)=(64.4±0.6±1.6)% and B(ψ(3770)→J/ψX)=(0.5±0.2±0.1)% for the first time. The energy-dependent line shape of these cross sections cannot be well described by two Breit-Wigner (BW) amplitudes of the expected decays ψ(3686)→J/ψX and ψ(3770)→J/ψX. Instead, it can be better described with one more BW amplitude of the decay R(3760)→J/ψX. Under this assumption, we extracted the R(3760) mass M_{R(3760)}=3766.2±3.8±0.4 MeV/c^{2} , total width Γ_{R(3760)}^{tot}=22.2±5.9±1.4 MeV, and product of leptonic width and decay branching fraction Γ_{R(3760)}^{ee}B[R(3760)→J/ψX]=(79.4±85.5±11.7) eV. The significance of the R(3760) is 5.3σ. The first uncertainties of these measured quantities are from fits to the cross sections and second systematic.

[Plasm trimethylamine-N-oxide level and association with lesion severity in coronary heart disease patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus]. ZHONGHUA XIN XUE GUAN BING ZA ZHI 2021; 49:680-686. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association between trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO) and the degree of coronary atherosclerosis in coronary heart diseases (CHD) patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: Consecutive patients, who underwent coronary angiography due to suspected CHD in Beijing Hospital from November 2016 to January 2018, were screened in this cross-sectional study. According to blood glucose level, previous medical history and coronary angiography results, they were divided into CHD without type2 diabetes mellitus(CHD-nDM) group and CHD with type2 diabetes mellitus(CHD-DM) group. Plasma TMAO levels in each group were measured by LC-MS/MS. Spearman correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between TMAO and the number of diseased vessels and Gensini scores. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the correlation between TMAO and high Gensini scores. Results: A total of 590 patients were enrolled in the study, including 238 patients in CHD-DM group and 352 patients in CHD-nDM group. Patients were older, body mass index, blood pressure level, prevalence of history of hypertension and statins use were higher in CHD-DM group than in CHD-nDM group (all P<0.05). The proportion of patients with multivessel disease (2 or more vessels) was also higher in CHD-DM group than in CHD-nDM group (P<0.001). Gensini score was higher in CHD-DM group than in CHD-nDM group (P<0.05). Fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and urea were significantly higher, while low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and hemoglobin were significantly lower in CHD-DM group than in CHD-nDM group (all P<0.05). The levels of TMAO was significantly higher in CHD-DM group than in CHD-nDM group (P<0.001). Spearman correlation analysis showed that TMAO was positively correlated with the number of diseased vessels, Gensini score, age and blood glucose level (r=0.178, 0.189, 0.260, 0.111, respectively, all P<0.01). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that, TMAO level was still positively correlated with high Gensini score in CHD-DM group (OR=2.25, 95%CI 1.16-4.38, P=0.017), but not in CHD-nDM group (OR=1.29, 95%CI 0.72-2.31, P=0.386) after adjusting for age, sex, body mass index, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglyceride, history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, smoking and statin use. Conclusions: In CHD patients with tupe 2 diabetes mellitus, the plasma TMAO level is significantly increased and is independent and positively correlated with the degree of coronary artery disease.

Abstract
The surface of glass is crucial for understanding many fundamental processes in glassy solids. A common notion is that a glass surface is a thin layer with liquid-like atomic dynamics and a thickness of a few tens of nanometers. Here, we measured the shear modulus at the surface of both millimeter-size and micrometer-size metallic glasses (MGs) through high-sensitivity torsion techniques. We found a pronounced shear-modulus softening at the surface of MGs. Compared with the bulk, the maximum decrease in the surface shear modulus (G) for the micro-scale MGs reaches ~27%, which is close to the decrease in the G upon glass transition, yet it still behaves solid-like. Strikingly, the surface thickness estimated from the shear-modulus softening is at least 400 nm, which is approximately one order of magnitude larger than that revealed from the glass dynamics. The unusually thick surface is also confirmed by measurements using X-ray nano-computed tomography, and this may account for the brittle-to-ductile transition of the MGs with size reductions. The unique and unusual properties at the surface of the micrometer-size MGs are physically related to the negative pressure effect during the thermoplastic formation process, which can dramatically reduce the density of the proximate surface region in the supercooled liquid state. The shear modulus and thickness of metallic glass (MG) surface is determined through torsion testing on micrometer-size wires The surface region of MG wires has a significant shear-modulus softening close to the supercooled liquid, yet still behaves solid-like The thickness of the soft surface of MG wires is at least 400 nm, which is about one order of magnitude larger than those revealed from surface dynamics The unusually thick surface accounts for the brittle-to-ductile transition of the MGs with size reduction

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics of HBV-related liver cirrhotic patients with low viral load. Methods: A retrospective analysis on 481 inpatients with HBV-related cirrhosis with low viral load [HBV DNA≤2 000 IU/ml (10(4) copies/ml)] general condition, virological indicators, liver function-related indicators, complications, and incidence of complications were analyzed. The t-test was used to compare the average measurement data, and the χ (2) test was used to compare the count data. Results: 481 cases were mainly male (male/female: 324/157), aged 20-83 (53.31 ± 11.67) years old. Han nationality accounted for 71.518%. 386 cases were HBsAg positive. 391 cases were HBeAg positive, and 140 cases were HBV DNA positive. The average value of bilirubin, albumin, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, platelets, and prothrombin were 50.59 ± 91.25 (μmol/L), 33.68 ± 7.5 (g/L), and 60.66 ± 106.95(U/L), 63.37 ± 86.19(U/L), 106.65 ± 83.22(×10(9)/L), 68.82% ± 25.33%, respectively. CTP class A/B/C had 220/150/111 cases. The average values of CTP, MELD, APRI and FIB-4 were 7.61 ± 2.58, 10.98 ± 5.79, 2.34 ± 3.56, 6.91 ± 8.04, respectively. The overall incidence of complications in HBV-related cirrhotic patients with low viral load, HBV DNA negative, HBV DNA positive, HBsAg negative, and HBsAg positive were 80.0%, 82.7%, 73.6%, 85.3%, and 78.8%, respectively. Among them, 283 cases (58.84%), 197 cases (55.77%), 86 cases (61.43%), 52 cases (54.74%) and 231 cases (59.84%) were of hypersplenism, and 267 cases (55.51%), 197 cases (55.77%), 70 cases (50.00%), 56 cases (58.95%), and 211 cases (54.66%) were of esophagogastric varices. There were 59 cases (12.27%), 48 cases (14.08%), 11 cases (7.86%), 12 cases (12.63%), and 47 cases (12.18%) of rupture of esophageal and gastric varices, respectively. 202 cases (42.00%), 147 cases (43.11%), 55 cases (39.29%), 42 cases (44.21%), and 160 cases (41.45%) were of ascites, respectively. 17 cases (3.53%), 12 cases (3.52%), 5 cases (3.5%), 2 cases (2.11%), 15 (3.89%) cases were of hepatic encephalopathy, respectively. There were 6 cases (1.25%), 3 cases (0.88%), 3 cases (2.14%), 0 cases (0%), 6 cases (1.55%) of liver cancer. 29 cases (6.03%), 21 cases (6.16%), 8 cases (5.71%), 9 cases (9.47%) and 20 cases (5.18%) were of portal vein thrombosis. Compared with the overall incidence of complications, 341 HBV DNA-negative patients and 95 HBsAg-negative patients still had higher incidence of complications. The patients were grouped by age, and in < 40 years old, 40-50 years old, and > 50 years old, the overall complications were 80.8% in 42 cases, 76.8% in 116 cases and 81.7% in 227 cases, and the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: HBV infection patients with low viral load, and those whose HBsAg has disappeared, are still at risk of developing liver cirrhosis and even serious complications, and whether such population need antiviral therapy and benefit from it deserves further research.

Abstract
We report a study of the processes of e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}D_{s}^{-}D^{*0} and K^{+}D_{s}^{*-}D^{0} based on e^{+}e^{-} annihilation samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII at five center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.628 to 4.698 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 3.7 fb^{-1}. An excess of events over the known contributions of the conventional charmed mesons is observed near the D_{s}^{-}D^{*0} and D_{s}^{*-}D^{0} mass thresholds in the K^{+} recoil-mass spectrum for events collected at sqrt[s]=4.681 GeV. The structure matches a mass-dependent-width Breit-Wigner line shape, whose pole mass and width are determined as (3982.5_{-2.6}^{+1.8}±2.1) MeV/c^{2} and (12.8_{-4.4}^{+5.3}±3.0) MeV, respectively. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the resonance hypothesis is estimated to be 5.3 σ over the contributions only from the conventional charmed mesons. This is the first candidate for a charged hidden-charm tetraquark with strangeness, decaying into D_{s}^{-}D^{*0} and D_{s}^{*-}D^{0}. However, the properties of the excess need further exploration with more statistics.

The helicity amplitudes for the process ψ(3686)→Ω^{-}Ω[over ¯]^{+} and the decay parameters of the subsequent decay Ω^{-}→K^{-}Λ (Ω[over ¯]^{+}→K^{+}Λ[over ¯]) are measured for the first time by a fit to the angular distribution of the complete decay chain, and the spin of the Ω^{-} is determined to be 3/2 for the first time since its discovery more than 50 years ago.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) govern fundamental biochemical and cellular biology processes, for example, participate in chromatin remodeling, imprinting, splicing, transcriptional regulation and translation. Dysregulation of lncRNA expression is act as a feature of various diseases and cancers, including hematopoietic malignancies. However, the clinical relevance of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia preceded by MDS (MDS-AML) requires further research. Recently, lncRNAs have been demonstrated, which play an important role in hematopoiesis, thus, to further finding more functional lncRNA seemed particularly important. METHODS Western blotting, real-time PCR, RNA-pulldown, RIP (RNA immunoprecipitation), Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), cellular compartments extraction assays, SA-β-gal staining, lentivirus transfection, cell viability assay and cell proliferation assays were used to examine the relationship between lncRNA LINC01255 and its regulation of p53-p21 pathway in human mesenchymal stromal and acute myeloid leukemia cells. RESULTS LncRNA LINC01255 is highly expressed in bone marrow cells of AML patients, CD34+ cells of MDS-AML patients and AML cell lines and the higher expression of LINC01255 is associated with poor survival rate of AML patients. LINC01255 can interact with BMI1 and repress the transcription of MCP-1 to active p53-p21 pathway, thus inhibiting the senescence of human mesenchymal stromal and proliferation of acute myeloid leukemia cell. CONCLUSIONS We discovered a novel functional lncRNA LINC01255, which can regulate the senescence of human mesenchymal stromal and the proliferation of acute myeloid leukemia cell through inhibiting the transcription of MCP-1.

Abstract
The purification of parasite-infected erythrocytes from whole blood containing leucocytes is crucial for many downstream genetic and molecular assays in parasitology. Current methodologies to achieve this are often costly and time consuming. Here, we demonstrate the successful application of a cheap and simple Non-Woven Fabric (NWF) filter for the purification of parasitized red blood cells from whole blood. NWF filtration was applied to the malaria-parasitized blood of three strains of mice, and one strain of rat, and to Babesia gibsoni parasitized dog blood. Before and after filtration, the white blood cell (WBC) removal rates and red blood cell (RBC) recovery rates were measured. After NWF filter treatment of rodent malaria-infected blood, the WBC removal rates and RBC recovery rates were, for Kunming mice: 99.51%±0.30% and 86.12%±8.37%; for BALB/C mice: 99.61%±0.15% and 80.74%±7.11%; for C57 mice: 99.71%±0.12% and 84.87%±3.83%; for Sprague-Dawley rats: 99.93%±0.03% and 83.30%±2.96%. Microscopy showed WBCs were efficiently removed from infected dog blood samples, and there was no obvious morphological change of B. gibsoni parasites. NWF filters efficiently remove leukocytes from malaria parasite-infected mouse and rat blood, and are also suitable for filtration of B. gibsoni-infected dog blood.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to explore the association between TP53 gene polymorphisms (rs8068934 A>G and rs218698 C>T) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). PATIENTS AND METHODS CLL patients who received treatment in our hospital were enrolled in this study as the disease group. Meanwhile, healthy subjects were taken as the control group. Peripheral blood samples were collected to detect TP53 gene polymorphisms at rs8068934 and rs218698, and the haplotype analysis was performed. The expression of TP53 was detected via reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Furthermore, the survival conditions were analyzed. RESULTS The allele distribution at rs8068934 (p=0.046) and rs218698 (p=0.028) of TP53 gene was different between control group and disease group. A allele frequency at rs8068934 and T allele frequency at rs218698 were significantly higher in disease group (p<0.05). The genotype distribution at rs218698 of TP53 gene in disease group was also different from that in control group (p=0.038). The results demonstrated that CC genotype frequency in disease group was significantly lower than that in control group (p<0.05). Besides, the distribution of dominant model at rs8068934 (p=0.042) and recessive model at rs218698 (p=0.033) in disease group exhibited remarkable differences from control group, in which AA+AG frequency (dominant model) at rs8068934 and CC+CT frequency (recessive model) at rs218698 in disease group were significantly higher. Meanwhile, the distribution of AT (p=0.029) and GC (p=0.007) haplotypes at rs8068934 and rs218698 in disease group was evidently different from that in control group. The results indicated that disease group showed significantly higher frequency of AT haplotype and lower frequency of GC haplotype (p<0.05). Moreover, TP53 gene polymorphisms at rs8068934 were significantly associated with the levels of white blood cells (WBC) (p=0.000) and platelets (PLT) (p=0.035). Patients with GG genotype had significantly higher level of WBC, while those with AG genotype showed significantly lower level of PLT (p<0.05). TP53 gene polymorphisms at rs218698 were associated with the level of red blood cells (RBC) (p=0.000). Patients with CT genotype had a remarkably lower level of RBC (p<0.05). There were significant correlations of TP53 gene polymorphisms at rs8068934 (p=0.000) and rs218698 (p=0.000) with the expression of TP53. The expression of TP53 was lower in people with AA genotype at rs8068934 but higher in people with TT genotype at rs218698 (p<0.05). Furthermore, TP53 gene polymorphisms at rs8068934 (p=0.000) and rs218698 (p=0.000) were markedly associated with patients' survival. CONCLUSIONS TP53 polymorphisms are significantly correlated with the occurrence and progression of CLL.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the comprehensive control situation and related factors of diabetes mellitus. Methods: From August to December of 2017, 13 259 residents aged 18 to 79 years old were randomly selected as the subjects by stratified multi-stage cluster sampling method. Questionnaire, physical examination and laboratory tests were conducted. The effective sample size was 13 240. A total of 1 592 diabetes patients were found. In this study, 917 diabetes patients who had been diagnosed before the investigation were selected as subjects. The comprehensive control of diabetes patients was analyzed. The situation of diabetes patients with hypertension, dyslipidemia, overweight and obesity, coronary heart diseases was analyzed. Logistic regression analysis of complex sampling was used to analyze the related factors of diabetes comprehensive control. Results: The average age of 917 patients with diabetes was (58.5±0.7) years old. The proportion of people who participated in diabetes follow-up management was 29.0%. There were 89.5% diabetes patients with one or more chronic diseases. The comprehensive control rate of diabetes mellitus was 2.0%, men and women were 1.8% and 2.3%, respectively (P>0.05). The rate of comprehensive control among those diabetes patients with chronic diseases was 0.4%, lower than that of those without chronic diseases (15.6%, P<0.05). The comprehensive control rate of people who participated in diabetes follow-up management was 1.4%. The control rate of blood glucose, blood pressure, blood lipid and weight of diabetes mellitus was 30.9%, 30.2%, 17.4% and 27.7%, respectively. Logistic regression analysis of complex sampling showed that excessive intake of red meat, with chronic diseases and qualified core knowledge were all related with comprehensive control of diabetes mellitus, OR value was 31.41, 39.98 and 0.29, P<0.05. Conclusion: The comprehensive control rate of diabetes mellitus was low. Excessive intake of red meat, with chronic diseases and qualified core knowledge were all related with comprehensive control of diabetes mellitus.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Pre-eclampsia (PE) is a pregnancy-associated condition initiated by placental factors. We have demonstrated that placental extracellular vesicles (pcEVs) cause hypertension and proteinuria in pregnant and non-pregnant mice. STUDY DESIGN An observational study with both case-control and longitudinal designs. SETTING A single centre at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Tianjin Medical University. POPULATION We collected blood samples and clinical information from 54 PE patients, 33 normally pregnant women at 30-36 gestational weeks and on postpartum days 1 and 4 for the cross-sectional study, and at 22-31, 32-35 and 36-40 weeks for the longitudinal study. Non-pregnant women were also recruited. METHODS Blood samples were analysed using flow cytometry, coagulation tests and ELISA. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES The primary outcome was plasma pcEV and other extracellular vesicles (EVs), and their expressions of anionic phospholipids and von Willebrand factor (VWF). Secondary variables included coagulation, ADAMTS-13 and the anionic phospholipid-binding proteins. RESULTS Plasma pcEVs progressively increased from pregnant women during non-menstrual period (NW) to PE patients (interquartile range [IQR] for NW: 206/microlitre [116-255], normal pregnancy [NP]: 1108/microlitre [789-1969] and PE: 8487/microlitre [4991-16 752]) and predicted PE. EVs from endothelial cells, platelets and erythrocytes accounted for <10% of pcEVs. VWF became hyper-adhesive in PE patients and contributed to the pregnancy-associated hypercoagulability. CONCLUSION Placental, platelet- and endothelial cell-derived EVs were significantly elevated in PE patients, but only pcEVs predicted PE. These EVs played a causal role in the pregnancy-induced hypercoagulability. TWEETABLE ABSTRACT Placenta-derived extracellular vesicles predict pre-eclampsia and the associated hypercoagulability.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) being the standard of care in medically recalcitrant chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), its effect on sinus ventilation has not been fully characterized. Airflow simulations can help improve our understanding of how surgical strategies affect post-surgical sinus ventilation. METHODS Eight postoperative sinonasal cavity models were reconstructed from a wide spectrum of CRS patients who had undergone FESS. Computational fluid dynamics modeling of steady-state, laminar, inspiratory airflow was performed. Ventilation was quantified and observed for all the sinuses in each model. RESULTS Sinus aeration was enhanced following FESS, particularly in the maxillary and ethmoid sinuses. The degree of improvement was related to the extent of surgery performed. This finding was accentuated at a higher inhalational flow rate of 15L/min. The relationship between ostium size and corresponding sinus inflow was stronger for the maxillary and sphenoid sinuses. Maxillary inflow reached 50% in a mega-antrostomy patient, while negligible flow occurred in the frontal sinuses for except one whom had undergone a modified Lothrop procedure. CONCLUSIONS This study has quantified sinus airflow in the largest set of post-FESS patients to date, to show that with increasing extensive surgery, the sinus and nasal cavity become more interconnected and functionally interdependent. Accordingly, sinus ventilation is improved. This may have important consequences for pre- and post-surgical assessment and planning, and on predicting how drug delivery treatments and devices can be designed to target the postoperative sinuses.

Abstract
Using 2.93 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, the first observation of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay D^{+}→K^{+}π^{+}π^{-}π^{0} is reported. After removing decays that contain narrow intermediate resonances, including D^{+}→K^{+}η, D^{+}→K^{+}ω, and D^{+}→K^{+}ϕ, the branching fraction of the decay D^{+}→K^{+}π^{+}π^{-}π^{0} is measured to be (1.13±0.08_{stat}±0.03_{syst})×10^{-3}. The ratio of branching fractions of D^{+}→K^{+}π^{+}π^{-}π^{0} over D^{+}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{+}π^{0} is found to be (1.81±0.15)%, which corresponds to (6.28±0.52)tan^{4}θ_{C}, where θ_{C} is the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio is significantly larger than the corresponding ratios for other doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays. The asymmetry of the branching fractions of charge-conjugated decays D^{±}→K^{±}π^{±}π^{∓}π^{0} is also determined, and no evidence for CP violation is found. In addition, the first evidence for the D^{+}→K^{+}ω decay, with a statistical significance of 3.3σ, is presented and the branching fraction is measured to be B(D^{+}→K^{+}ω)=(5.7_{-2.1}^{+2.5}_{stat}±0.2_{syst})×10^{-5}.
