Abstract
The study of the strength and behavior of the antikaon-nucleon (K[over ¯]N) interaction constitutes one of the key focuses of the strangeness sector in low-energy quantum chromodynamics (QCD). In this Letter a unique high-precision measurement of the strong interaction between kaons and protons, close and above the kinematic threshold, is presented. The femtoscopic measurements of the correlation function at low pair-frame relative momentum of (K^{+}p⊕K^{-}p[over ¯]) and (K^{-}p⊕K^{+}p[over ¯]) pairs measured in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=5, 7, and 13 TeV are reported. A structure observed around a relative momentum of 58 MeV/c in the measured correlation function of (K^{-}p⊕K^{+}p[over ¯]) with a significance of 4.4σ constitutes the first experimental evidence for the opening of the (K[over ¯]^{0}n⊕K^{0}n[over ¯]) isospin breaking channel due to the mass difference between charged and neutral kaons. The measured correlation functions have been compared to Jülich and Kyoto models in addition to the Coulomb potential. The high-precision data at low relative momenta presented in this work prove femtoscopy to be a powerful complementary tool to scattering experiments and provide new constraints above the K[over ¯]N threshold for low-energy QCD chiral models.

Effects of butyrate supplementation on blood glucagon-like peptide-2 concentration and gastrointestinal functions of lactating dairy cows fed diets differing in starch content. Abstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate effects of butyrate supplementation on plasma concentration of glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2), apparent total-tract digestibility, and responses to a grain challenge of lactating dairy cows fed diets differing in starch content. Eight Holstein cows averaging 58.6 ± 9.96 d in milk (4 primiparous cows fitted with rumen cannula and 4 multiparous intact cows) were blocked by parity and assigned to one of two 4 × 4 Latin squares balanced for carryover effects with a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement of treatments. Treatments were dietary starch content [20.6 vs. 27.5%, respectively, for low starch (LS) and high starch (HS)] and butyrate supplementation (butyrate vs. control) with 21-d periods. Butyrate was provided as Gustor BP70 WS (Norel, S.A., Madrid, Spain), containing 70% sodium butyrate and 30% fatty acid mixture, at 2% of dietary dry matter (providing butyrate at 1.1% of dietary dry matter), and control premix contained 70% wheat bran and 30% fatty acid mixture. Feeds, orts, and fecal samples were collected from d 17 to 19 to determine apparent total-tract nutrient digestibility. Blood and rumen fluid samples were collected on d 19. The baseline of dry matter intake (DMI) was determined as average DMI from d 17 to 19 for each cow, and cows were feed-restricted at 60% of the baseline DMI on d 20, and a grain challenge was conducted by providing steam-flaked corn grain at 0.6% of body weight, on an as-fed basis, in addition to each treatment diet on d 21, and blood and ruminal fluid samples were collected. The interaction of dietary starch content by butyrate supplementation was significant for plasma GLP-2 concentration, being greater for cows fed butyrate with the HS diet than those fed the other 3 diets. Cows fed butyrate increased n-butyrate concentration in the ruminal fluid and tended to increase dry matter and organic matter digestibility compared with the control. During the grain challenge, rumen endotoxin concentration increased over time and was higher for cows fed the HS diets compared with those fed LS diets. However, response variables related to inflammation were not affected by the grain challenge. However, serum haptoglobin, lipopolysaccharide-binding protein, and serum amyloid-A concentrations were greater for cows fed butyrate with the LS diet, but not for those fed the HS diet. These results indicate that butyrate supplementation may increase plasma GLP-2 concentration for cows fed HS diets, and total-tract digestibility regardless of dietary starch content. However, butyrate supplementation did not mitigate inflammation in this study.

Elevated Serum Non-HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) Cholesterol and Triglyceride Levels as Residual Risks for Myocardial Infarction Recurrence Under Statin Treatment. Abstract
Objective- Secondary prevention for recurrent myocardial infarction (MI) is one of the most important therapeutic goals in patients with old MI (OMI). Although statins are widely used for this purpose, there remains considerable residual risk even after LDL (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol) is well controlled by statins. Approach and Results- We examined clinical impacts of nHDL (nonhigh-density lipoprotein cholesterol) and its major components triglyceride and LDL as residual risks for acute MI recurrence, using the database of our CHART (Chronic Heart Failure Analysis and Registry in the Tohoku District)-2 Study, the largest-scale cohort study of cardiovascular patients in Japan. We enrolled 1843 consecutive old MI patients treated with statins (mean age 67.3 years, male 19.2%) in the CHART-2 Study. The incidence of recurrent acute MI during the median 8.6-year follow-up was compared among the groups divided by the levels of nHDL (<100, 100-129, and ≥130 mg/dL), LDL (<70, 70-99, and ≥100 mg/dL), triglyceride (<84, 84-149, and ≥150 mg/dL), and combination of LDL and triglyceride. Kaplan-Meier curves and multiple Cox proportional hazards models showed that higher levels of nHDL, but not LDL or triglyceride alone, were associated with higher incidence of recurrent acute MI. Furthermore, higher triglyceride levels were associated with higher incidence of recurrent MI in patients with LDL <100 mg/dL but not in those with LDL ≥100 mg/dL. Conclusions- These results indicate that management of residual risks for acute MI recurrence should include nHDL management considering both LDL and triglyceride in old MI patients under statin treatment. Measurement of ϒ(1S) Elliptic Flow at Forward Rapidity in Pb-Pb Collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2019; 123:192301. Abstract
The first measurement of the ϒ(1S) elliptic flow coefficient (v_{2}) is performed at forward rapidity (2.5<y<4) in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The results are obtained with the scalar product method and are reported as a function of transverse momentum (p_{T}) up to 15 GeV/c in the 5%-60% centrality interval. The measured ϒ(1S)v_{2} is consistent with 0 and with the small positive values predicted by transport models within uncertainties. The v_{2} coefficient in 2<p_{T}<15 GeV/c is lower than that of inclusive J/ψ mesons in the same p_{T} interval by 2.6 standard deviations. These results, combined with earlier suppression measurements, are in agreement with a scenario in which the ϒ(1S) production in Pb-Pb collisions at LHC energies is dominated by dissociation limited to the early stage of the collision, whereas in the J/ψ case there is substantial experimental evidence of an additional regeneration component.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In intensive case management (ICM), users receive a wide variety of services of varying content, which makes it difficult to understand the global features of ICM programs. AIMS The aim of this study was to examine the features of ICM programs using network analysis. METHODS A total of 233 ICM users in two Japanese medical institutions were recruited to participate. All received services were recorded for 2 months. In the network analysis, nodes represented types of ICM services and edges between two nodes depicted when over 5% of participants received both types of services. RESULTS We found high centrality values for 'H5. Hospital-based counseling', 'O13. Outreach support for mental health medications', 'H13. Hospital-based support for mental health medication', 'T5. Counseling via telecommunication', 'H3. Hospital-based coordination of services in the medical institution' and 'T2. Coordination of services with other institutions via telecommunication'. These results indicated that these services were associated with various other types of services. Social functioning was related to 'O13. Outreach support for mental health medication', whereas need for ICM was related to 'H13. Hospital-based support for mental health medications', 'T5. Counseling via telecommunication' and 'T2. Coordination of services with other institutions via telecommunication'. CONCLUSION Based on these findings, we speculated that there are at least five types of core services in ICM: regular face-to-face contact, outreach services, hospital-based services, easy contacts and coordination. These findings clarified the features of ICM programs, which may help improve the understanding of case managers' practice.

Investigations of Anisotropic Flow Using Multiparticle Azimuthal Correlations in pp, p-Pb, Xe-Xe, and Pb-Pb Collisions at the LHC. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2019; 123:142301. Abstract
Measurements of anisotropic flow coefficients (v_{n}) and their cross-correlations using two- and multiparticle cumulant methods are reported in collisions of pp at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, p-Pb at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV, Xe-Xe at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.44 TeV, and Pb-Pb at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV recorded with the ALICE detector. The multiplicity dependence of v_{n} is studied in a very wide range from 20 to 3000 particles produced in the midrapidity region |η|<0.8 for the transverse momentum range 0.2<p_{T}<3.0 GeV/c. An ordering of the coefficients v_{2}>v_{3}>v_{4} is found in pp and p-Pb collisions, similar to that seen in large collision systems, while a weak v_{2} multiplicity dependence is observed relative to nucleus-nucleus collisions in the same multiplicity range. Using a novel subevent method, v_{2} measured with four-particle cumulants is found to be compatible with that from six-particle cumulants in pp and p-Pb collisions. The magnitude of the correlation between v_{n}^{2} and v_{m}^{2}, evaluated with the symmetric cumulants SC(m,n) is observed to be positive at all multiplicities for v_{2} and v_{4}, while for v_{2} and v_{3} it is negative and changes sign for multiplicities below 100, which may indicate a different v_{n} fluctuation pattern in this multiplicity range. The observed long-range multiparticle azimuthal correlations in high multiplicity pp and p-Pb collisions can neither be described by pythia 8 nor by impact-parameter-Glasma, music, and ultrarelativistic quantum molecular dynamics model calculations, and hence, provide new insights into the understanding of collective effects in small collision systems.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Cancer and cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common cause of death in developed countries, and substantial overlap exist in their medical care. However, the detailed and updated information on outcome of cancer patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD), particularly in clinically significant coronary artery disease (CAD) remain unknown.
Purpose
We sought to describe the prevalence and long-term outcomes of cancer patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), which has become a coronerstone in the management of CVD.
Methods
Patient data extracted from a regional prospectiveprocedure-based multicenter registry for PCI was analyzed. A total of 4,455 patients who underwent PCI at 15 hospitals within metropolitan Tokyo from September 2008 to 2012 were followed for 2 years. “Active” cancer patient was defined as having a history of cancer not cured or in remission. We analyzed in acute and stable presentation. The occurrence of clinical outcomes was assessed via Kaplan-Meier survival curve, and Cox-regression hazard model to adjust for known clinical predictors.
Results
Within the studied patients, 173 (3.9%) had a concomitant “active” cancer at the time of intervention. There was a significant difference between the patients with and without active cancer in each situation. In stable presentation, cancer group were older, lower BMI, frequently had silent ischemia, COPD and cerebrovascular/peripheral disease, and less often had dyslipidemia compared with non-cancer group. In acute presentation, cancer group were older, frequently had COPD, CKD, peripheral disease and history of HF compared with non-cancer group. The prescription rate of RAAS inhibitor was lower in the cancer group than in the non-cancer group in acute presentation. Notably, in both acute and stable presentation, these patients had significantly higher risk of all-cause mortality (HR 8.01: 95%, p<0.001 and HR5.53: 95%, p<0.001, respectively), and they were also at higher risk of major cardo- and cerebrovascular events (MACCE; HR2.38, p<0.001, HR2.33, p=0.001), when referenced to non-cancer patients after 2 year of follow-up.
Conclusion
Cancer patient was present in 3.9% of all PCI patients and was strongly associated with both non-cardiac and cardiac adverse events.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
The optimal management of asymptomatic aortic stenosis (AS) remains controversial. The aim of this study is to investigate the prognostic value of exercise stress echocardiography (ESE) in asymptomatic patients with AS.
Purpose
To investigate the additive value of ESE in asymptomatic patients with AS.
Methods and results
We retrospectively enrolled 109 consecutive patients (mean age 73±13 years, 55 men) with AS (aortic valve area ≤1.5cm2) who underwent ESE. Of these, 10 patients referred for aortic valve replacement without symptoms were excluded; finally, 99 conservatively managed patients were enrolled. During the mean follow-up period of 14±11 months, 23 patients (23%) suffered from AS related events. Although no differences in mean pressure gradient at rest and during exercise were found between the patients with and without adverse events, transvalvular flow rate during exercise (Ex-FR) was lower in patients with adverse events than those without adverse events (236±55 ml/sec vs 274±64 ml/sec, P=0.01). Using multivariate Cox regression analysis, low Ex-FR (<270 ml/sec) was an independent predictor for adverse events in patients with asymptomatic AS (hazard ratio: 3.53, P<0.01). The Kaplan–Meier analysis showed that Ex-FR was clearly stratified the event-free survival (Figure, log-rank P<0.01).
K-M curve according to Ex-FR
Conclusion
These results suggested that Ex-FR measured by ESE should play crucial roles in risk stratification in asymptomatic patients with AS.

Abstract
Abstract
Background and purpose
Many reports have examined electrocardiographic (ECG) changes after subarachnoid hemorrhage from long ago; however, there are few reports on the prognosis of patients who have an ECG abnormality. Therefore, in this study, the prognoses of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage showing abnormal ECG findings were retrospectively analyzed.
Methods
Over 30 months from January 2014 to June 2016, 199 patients (mean age, 61.1±17.0 years; 46.7% male) admitted with a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) were enrolled. To assess the mechanism underlying abnormal ECG in the SAH, predictor variables, such as demographics (age, sex, and body surface area), hemodynamics (heart rate and systolic blood pressure), blood biochemical results, neurological assessments (Glasgow Coma Scale), and computed tomography (CT) severity classification (World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies classification) were recorded. The subarachnoid hemorrhage was classified into either the cerebral aneurysm rupture group (N=132) or traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage group (N=67) and analyzed.
Results
In the cerebral aneurysm rupture group, the QT prolongation was significantly increased compared with the traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage group (424.8±87.7 ms vs. 400.5±95.8 ms, P<0.05). There was a correlation between consciousness level (Glasgow Coma Scale) on admission and QT prolongation, and significant QT prolongation was observed in critical patients (Pearson's correlation coefficient test P=0.04). ST changes correlated with CT classification severity (WFNS classification), and the most severe group (WFNS Grade 5) showed significant ST changes. On admission, the cerebral aneurysm rupture group and 97.0% in the traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage group.
Conclusions
Significantly prolonged QT and ST changes are noted in patients with severe aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. The cause of the ECG abnormality in subarachnoid hemorrhage patients is not yet understood. A small number of experimental animal models have shown that electrocardiogram abnormalities associated with subarachnoid hemorrhage develop in the brain stem, and an autonomic nerve abnormality may also be involved.
A D-dimer is positively correlated with both aneurysm trauma and traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage and may be used for auxiliary diagnosis of a subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Recent research has revealed that reparative (alternatively activated or M2-like) macrophages play an important role in post-myocardial infarction (MI) cardiac repair, proposing that augmentation of these cells will enhance recovery from MI. Transplantation of bone marrow mononuclear cells (BM-MNCs) is an emerging therapy for MI while its therapeutic efficacy in previous clinical trials is not satisfactory. Given that BM-MNCs are a natural source of macrophages, we hypothesized that induced differentiation/polarisation of BM-MNCs to reparative macrophages before transplantation may enhance the effect of BM-MNC transplantation.
Purpose
This study aimed to develop a robust in vitro protocol to produce reparative macrophages from BM-MNCs and to establish the pre-clinical proof of concept data for reparative macrophage transplantation for the treatment of MI.
Methods and results
Mouse BM-MNCs were treated with M-CSF plus IL-4, IL-10, TGF-β1 or combinations of these in vitro. The concomitant M-CSF+IL-4 protocol (both 20ng/ml) produced the highest rate (89.7±0.7%) and number (1.7-fold larger than the original cell number) of CD11b+F4/80+CD206+ macrophages. Expression and secretion of tissue repair-related factors of the produced cells, including IGF-1, TGF-β1, VEGF and IL1-ra, were more extensive compared to BM-MNCs. Then, 5x105 BM-MNC-derived reparative macrophages, 5x105 BM-MNCs, or saline only (control) were intramyocardially injected in a mouse MI model based on coronary artery ligation. At 4 weeks after treatment, echocardiography demonstrated that reparative macrophage transplantation markedly improved cardiac function (left ventricular ejection fraction; 57.2±1.6%, n=11) compared to both BM-MNC transplantation (48.4±1.3%, n=9) and control group (44.4±2.0%, n=9). Histological studies showed that infarct size was the smallest after reparative macrophage transplantation in association with the greatest tissue repair in the peri-infarct myocardium, including augmented microvascular formation, reduced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and reduced pathological interstitial fibrosis. These were corresponded to amplified myocardial upregulation of tissue repair-related genes. Of note, survival of donor reparative macrophages in the heart post-transplantation was >10-fold greater compared to BM-MNCs. It was also found that reparative macrophage transplantation increased host-derived cardiac reparative macrophages. This might be a part of the mechanism by which reparative macrophage transplantation augmented myocardial repair, and our in vitro antibody neutralisation study indicated that TGF-β1 played a role in this donor macrophage-to-host macrophage pathway.
Conclusion
M-CSF+IL-4 treatment was effective in producing reparative macrophages from BM-MNCs in vitro. Addition of this pre-treatment improved the therapeutic effect of BM-MNC transplantation. Further pre-clinical and clinical development of this advanced cell therapy is warrantied.
