Abstract
Growing high-quality and uniform dielectric on black phosphorus is challenging since it is easy to react with O2 or H2O in ambient. In this work, we have directly grown Al2O3 on BP using plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD). The surface roughness of BP with covered Al2O3 film can reduce significantly, which is due to the removal of oxidized bubble in BP surface by oxygen plasma. It was also found there is an interfacial layer of PO x in between amorphous Al2O3 film and crystallized BP, which is verified by both X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements. By increasing temperature, the PO x can be converted into fully oxidized P2O5.

Abstract
In this paper, an improved thermal lattice Boltzmann (LB) model is proposed for simulating liquid-vapor phase change, which is aimed at improving an existing thermal LB model for liquid-vapor phase change [S. Gong and P. Cheng, Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer 55, 4923 (2012)10.1016/j.ijheatmasstransfer.2012.04.037]. First, we emphasize that the replacement of ∇·(λ∇T)/∇·(λ∇T)ρc_{V}ρc_{V} with ∇·(χ∇T) is an inappropriate treatment for diffuse interface modeling of liquid-vapor phase change. Furthermore, the error terms ∂_{t_{0}}(Tv)+∇·(Tvv), which exist in the macroscopic temperature equation recovered from the previous model, are eliminated in the present model through a way that is consistent with the philosophy of the LB method. Moreover, the discrete effect of the source term is also eliminated in the present model. Numerical simulations are performed for droplet evaporation and bubble nucleation to validate the capability of the model for simulating liquid-vapor phase change. It is shown that the numerical results of the improved model agree well with those of a finite-difference scheme. Meanwhile, it is found that the replacement of ∇·(λ∇T)/∇·(λ∇T)ρc_{V}ρc_{V} with ∇·(χ∇T) leads to significant numerical errors and the error terms in the recovered macroscopic temperature equation also result in considerable errors.

Abstract
Porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) is a newly identified circovirus from swine in the USA, China and Poland. This novel circovirus has been associated with porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS), reproductive failure and multisystemic inflammation; moreover, PCV3 poses a potential threat to the swine industry. In this retrospective study, a phylogenetic analysis was conducted to address the epidemiology and evolutionary dynamics of this novel circovirus. The total positive sample rate of PCV3 was 26.7% (76/285) and has increased gradually over the past 3 years. Of these PCV3-positive samples, 22.3% (17/76) were coinfected with PCV2. PCV3 can be detected in multiple sample types with different positive rates, and the positive rate is highest among stillborn. We also divide PCV3 into three clades (PCV3a, PCV3b and PCV3c) based on two amino acid mutations (A24V and R27K) on the cap protein in this study. In addition, the origin of PCV3 was approximately 1966 and may have originated from a bat-associated circovirus. Our results suggested that PCV3 is widely distributed in southern China and has been circulating in swine herds for nearly half a century. PCV3 has evolved into different clades caused by mutations in cap proteins; thus, further research on PCV3 epidemiology should be conducted.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Thrombocytopenia is a frequently encountered phenomenon during intra-aortic balloon pumping (IABP), which may limit its prolonged utilization. The aim of the study was to explore the risk factors and clinical implications of IABP-associated thrombocytopenia in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). METHODS We retrospectively analyzed the data of 222 patients with ACS undergoing invasive treatment strategy supported by IABP. The incidence and risk factors of IABP-associated thrombocytopenia, and the association between thrombocytopenia and relevant clinical endpoints (in-hospital death, bleeding according to the TIMI scale, and thromboembolic events), were analyzed. RESULTS IABP-associated thrombocytopenia was observed in 54.5% (121/222) of the patients. The incidence of thrombocytopenia was higher and the magnitude of reduction in platelet count was greater in the Arrow balloon group (n = 89) compared with the Datascope balloon group (n = 133; 68.5% vs. 45.1%, p = 0.001; 48.7% vs. 33.2%, p < 0.001; respectively). Independent predictors of thrombocytopenia included older age and Arrow balloon utilization (odds ratio [OR]: 1.054; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.028-1.080; p<0.001; OR: 2.468; 95%CI: 1.375-4.431; p = 0.002; respectively). The incidence of in-hospital death was higher in patients who developed thrombocytopenia than those who did not (9.1% vs. 2.0%, p = 0.041), and thrombocytopenia was correlated with in-hospital death (OR: 5.932; 95%CI: 1.221-28.822; p = 0.027). However, the rates of TIMI bleeding and thromboembolic events were similar between the two groups (5.8% vs. 5.0%, p = 1.000; 3.2% vs. 6.0%, p = 0.518; respectively), and thrombocytopenia was not associated with TIMI bleeding or thromboembolic events (OR: 0.940; 95%CI: 0.267-3.307; p = 0.923; OR: 0.541, 95%CI: 0.148-1.974, p = 0.352; respectively). CONCLUSION IABP-associated thrombocytopenia occurred in 54.5% of patients with ACS undergoing an invasive strategy and it was correlated with increased in-hospital mortality. Older age and use of the Arrow balloon may predict IABP-associated thrombocytopenia.

Abstract
PURPOSE To characterize the expression patterns of HDAC7 in patients with gastric cancer and evaluate the prognostic value of HDAC7 in gastric cancer. METHODS The expression of histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) was detected in paraffin-embedded gastric cancer samples from 86 patients by immunohistochemistry, and the differences in the expression of HDAC7 between cancerous and corresponding adjacent noncancerous tissues were compared using the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed rank test. The correlation between HDAC7 expression and Ki-67 expression or clinicopathologic characteristics was evaluated using a Spearman rank correlation test. Prognostic outcomes that correlated with HDAC7 were examined using a Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazards model. Moreover, the effects of HDAC7 on the proliferation, migration and invasion of gastric cancer cells were investigated in vitro using human gastric carcinoma AGS cells. RESULTS We found that HDAC7 was downregulated in cancerous gastric tissues (P = 0.0019). However, the expression of HDAC7 in cancerous gastric tissues positively correlated with Ki-67 expression (P = 0.0325) and distant metastasis (P = 0.020). Moreover, overall survival was shorter for patients expressing higher levels of HDAC7 in cancerous tissues (P = 0.042). Mechanistically, the disruption of the HDAC7 gene attenuated the capacity of cell growth, migration and invasion and induced G0/G1 arrest in AGS cells. Conversely, forced ovperexpression of HDAC7 promoted cell growth, migration and invasion and G1/S transition in AGS cells. CONCLUSIONS These results indicate that high HDAC7 expression in cancerous gastric tissues correlates with distant metastasis and predicts a poor prognosis for patients with gastric cancer.

Abstract
The three dimensional (3D) innervation zone (IZ) imaging approach (3DIZI) has been developed in our group to localize the IZ of a particular motor unit (MU) from its motor unit action potentials decomposed from high-density surface electromyography (EMG) recordings. In this study, the developed 3DIZI approach was combined with electrical stimulation to investigate global distributions of IZs in muscles from electrically elicited M-wave recordings. Electrical stimulations were applied to the musculocutaneous nerve to activate supramaximal muscle response of the biceps brachii in one healthy subject, and high-density (128 channels) surface EMG signals of the biceps brachii muscles were recorded. The 3DIZI approach was then employed to image the IZ distribution of IZs in the 3D space of the biceps brachii. The performance of the M-wave based 3DIZI approach was evaluated with different stimulation intensities. Results show that the reconstructed IZs under supramaximal stimulation are spatially distributed in the center region of muscle belly which is consistent with previous studies. With sub-maximal stimulation intensity, the imaged IZ centers became more proximally and deeply located. The proposed M-wave based 3DIZI approach demonstrated its capability of imaging global distribution of IZs in muscles, which provide valuable information for clinical applications such as guiding botulinum toxin injection in treating muscle spasticity.

Abstract
Glycine-rich protein (GRP) is involved in the response to abiotic and biotic stresses in plants. A novel GRP gene in Lablab purpureus has been identified. The cDNA of LpGRP was obtained from an SSH library constructed with root tissues of L. purpureus MEIDOU 2012 by waterholding for 10 days. The function of LpGRP was also evaluated in Arabidopsis. The cDNA of LpGRP has 555 bp and encodes a 184-amino acid protein. LpGRP was induced by drought and improved tolerance to abiotic stress. In LpGRP overexpressing Arabidopsis, the tolerance of transgenic seedlings to drought and salt was improved, and transgenic seeds showed insensitivity to both ABA and NaCl. The insensitivity to ABA indicated that there was crosstalk between LpGRP and ABA-responsive genes. These results indicated that LpGRP is a drought-responsive gene that can increase the drought and salt tolerance of Arabidopsis seedlings overexpressing LpGRP.

Abstract
In the lattice Boltzmann (LB) method, the forcing scheme, which is used to incorporate an external or internal force into the LB equation, plays an important role. It determines whether the force of the system is correctly implemented in an LB model and affects the numerical accuracy. In this paper we aim to clarify a critical issue about the Chapman-Enskog analysis for a class of forcing schemes in the LB method in which the velocity in the equilibrium density distribution function is given by u=∑_{α}e_{α}f_{α}/ρ, while the actual fluid velocity is defined as u[over ̂]=u+δ_{t}F/(2ρ). It is shown that the usual Chapman-Enskog analysis for this class of forcing schemes should be revised so as to derive the actual macroscopic equations recovered from these forcing schemes. Three forcing schemes belonging to the above class are analyzed, among which Wagner's forcing scheme [A. J. Wagner, Phys. Rev. E 74, 056703 (2006)10.1103/PhysRevE.74.056703] is shown to be capable of reproducing the correct macroscopic equations. The theoretical analyses are examined and demonstrated with two numerical tests, including the simulation of Womersley flow and the modeling of flat and circular interfaces by the pseudopotential multiphase LB model.

Abstract
Density functional theory (DFT) and Berry curvature calculations show that quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) can be realized in two-dimensional(2D) antiferromagnetic (AFM) NiRuCl6. The results indicate that NiRuCl6 behaves as an AFM Chern insulator and its spin-polarized electronic structure and strong spin-orbit coupling (SOC) are responsible for the QAHE. By tuning SOC, we found that the topological property of NiRuCl6 arises from its energy band inversion. Considering the compatibility between the AFM and insulators, AFM Chern insulator provides a new way to archive high temperature QAHE in experiments due to its different magnetic coupling mechanism from that of ferromagnetic (FM) Chern insulator.

Abstract
The practical application of chaotic optical communications has been limited by two aspects: the difficulty in concealing the time delay - a critical security parameter in feedback chaotic systems, and the difficulty of significantly enlarging the key space without complicating the implementation. Here we propose an architecture to break the above limits. By introducing a frequency-dependent group delay module with frequency tuning resolution of 1 MHz into the chaotic feedback loop, we demonstrate excellent time delay concealment effect, and an additional huge key space of 1048 can be achieved at the same time. The effectiveness is proved by both numerical simulation and experiment. Besides, the proposed scheme is compatible with the existing commercial optical communication systems, thus pave the way for high-speed secure optical communications.

Abstract
In this paper, the pinning and depinning mechanism of the contact line during droplet evaporation on chemically stripe-patterned surfaces is numerically investigated using a thermal multiphase lattice Boltzmann (LB) model with liquid-vapor phase change. A local force balance in the context of diffuse interfaces is introduced to explain the equilibrium states of droplets on chemically patterned surfaces. It is shown that when the contact line is pinned on a hydrophobic-hydrophilic boundary, different contact angles can be interpreted as the variation of the length of the contact line occupied by each component. The stick-slip-jump behavior of evaporating droplets on chemically patterned surfaces is well captured by the LB simulations. Particularly, a slow movement of the contact line is clearly observed during the stick (pinning) mode, which shows that the pinning of the contact line during droplet evaporation on chemically stripe-patterned surfaces is actually a dynamic pinning process and the dynamic equilibrium is achieved by the self-adjustment of the contact lines occupied by each component. Moreover, it is shown that when the surface tension varies with the temperature, the Marangoni effect has an important influence on the depinning of the contact line, which occurs when the horizontal component (toward the center of the droplet) of the force caused by the Marangoni stress overcomes the unbalanced Young's force toward the outside.

Objective:The aim of this study is to study the different immune-type of polyps and valuate mucosal inflammatory pattern and remodeling features between in IL-5 positive vs.IL-17 positive nasal polyps.Method:Nasal polyp or nasal turbinate tissue was obtained from 88 CRSwNP patients during endonasal sinus surgery or 18 non-atopic control subjects during septoplasty, respectively.Assessment of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators by ELISA.Additionally, the distribution of IL-5 positive or IL-17 positive cells and inflammatory cells(eosinophil, neutrophil, etc.) were examined using immunohistochemistry(IHC).Result:Overall more than half amount of polyp tissue did not express any TH cells key cytokine. However there are 21% polyp present IL-5 positive and 16% of IL-17 positive as well as 9% of IFN-γ positives.Amount of them that IL-17 positive polyps by synthesis of mediators promoting neutrophilic inflammation[myeloperoxidase(MPO),IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8)] and staining infiltration of MPO positive with IL-17 positive cells, whereas IL-5 positive nasal polyps were characterized by synthesis of mediators promoting eosinophilic inflammation(IL-5,ECP,TIgE,and SAE-IgE) and infiltrating of eosinophils and IL-5 positive cells.Meanwhile TGF-β1 and MMP7 protein levels enhanced in IL-17 positive polyps and decreased in IL-5 positive than control. Conclusion:Nasal polyps presenting as different immune types and there were characterized with different inflammatory and remodeling patterns.Amount of them that IL-17 positive polyps presenting as a neutrophilic inflammation with remodeling biased.Whereas IL-5 positive nasal polyps were characterized by eosinophilic inflammation and absence of remodeling tendency.

Abstract
Comprehensive multi-omics data analyses have become an important means for understanding cancer incidence and progression largely driven by the availability of high-throughput sequencing technologies for genomes, proteomes, and transcriptomes. However, how tumor cells from the site of origin of the cancer begin to grow in other sites of the body is very poorly understood. In order to examine potential connections between different cancers and to gain an insight into the metastatic process, we conducted a multi-omics data analysis using data deposited in The Cancer Genome Atlas database. By combining somatic mutation data along with DNA methylation level and gene expression level data, we applied a Bayesian network analysis to detect the potential association among four distinct cancer types namely, Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (Hnsc), Lung adenocarcinoma (Luad), Lung squamous cell carcinoma (Lusc), and Skin cutaneous melanoma (Skcm). Further validation based on the 'identification of somatic signatures' and the 'association rules analysis' confirmed these associations. Previous investigations have suggested that common risk factors and molecular abnormalities in cell-cycle regulation and signal transduction predominate among these cancers. This evidence indicates that our study provides a rational analysis and hopefully will help shed light on the links between different cancers and metastasis as a whole.
