Abstract
TNF-α has been confirmed to promote tumor growth in LSCC. PGE2 expression in LSCC tissues was significantly higher than in tumor-adjacent tissues. In the present work, we aimed to discover the combined role of TNF-α and PGE2 in LSCC progression and its potential mechanisms. TNF-α and PGE2 were quantified by ELISA. TRAF2, MMP-9 and GRK2 expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry and western blot. UM-SCC-11A cell proliferation was tested by CCK-8, and cell migration and invasion were determined by transwell assay. GRK2/TRAF2 interaction was tested by Co-IP. The results showed that TNF-α, PGE2, TRAF2, MMP-9 and GRK2 expressions were significantly higher in tumor tissues than in tumor-adjacent tissues. Higher expressions of TRAF2, MMP-9 and GRK2 were associated with poorer prognosis of LSCC. Combined TNF-α with PGE2 promoted UM-SCC-11A cell proliferation, migration and invasion. The interactions of TRAF2 and GRK2, as well as MMP-9 expression, were upregulated in response to TNF-α and PGE2 co-stimulation. In conclusion, we found crosstalk between PGE2 and TNF-α signaling pathways, and the interaction between GRK2 and TRAF2 led to the activation of TNF-α-TRAF2-MMP-9 signaling and resulted in the progression of LSCC.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the epidemiological, occupational characteristics and clinical manifestations of reported cases of occupational brucellosis (OB) in Hulunbeier city from 2008 to 2018, so as to provide scientific basis for the formulation of prevention and control measures for occupational brucellosis. Methods: China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention had exported the network report data of "occupational diseases and occupational health information monitoring" from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2018 and had created the database; The epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations and laboratory examinations of OB were analyzed. Results: There were 262 OB cases in Hulunbuir from 2008 to 2018, including male in 235 cases, female in 27 cases. The most age was 41-50 years old (97 cases, 37%) . The length of service was concentrated in 0-10 years (146 cases, 55.7%) ; in the time distribution, the incidence in January was mostly (87 cases, 33.2%) . The industry distribution of veterinarians was the most (139 cases, 53.1%) , followed by epidemic prevention workers (58 cases, 22.1%) . The regional distribution is mainly concentrated in Ergun city (51 cases, 19.5%) , Hailar District (43 cases, 16.4%) , Orogen Autonomous Banner (40 cases, 15.3%) . The main clinical features were asthenia (194 cases, 74.0%) , hyperhidrosis (144 cases, 55.0%) , joint and muscle pain (156 cases, 59.5%) . The course of disease was mostly chronic (181 cases, 69.1%) . Conclusion: The cases of OB in Hulunbuir city are distributed in the developed areas of animal husbandry, and the incidence months are concentrated. Veterinarians are the key high-risk occupational groups.

Abstract
Novel experimental techniques are required to make the next big leap in neutron electric dipole moment experimental sensitivity, both in terms of statistics and systematic error control. The nEDM experiment at the Spallation Neutron Source (nEDM@SNS) will implement the scheme of Golub & Lamoreaux [Phys. Rep., 237, 1 (1994)]. The unique properties of combining polarized ultracold neutrons, polarized 3He, and superfluid 4He will be exploited to provide a sensitivity to ∼ 10−28 e · cm. Our cryogenic apparatus will deploy two small (3 L) measurement cells with a high density of ultracold neutrons produced and spin analyzed in situ. The electric field strength, precession time, magnetic shielding, and detected UCN number will all be enhanced compared to previous room temperature Ramsey measurements. Our 3He co-magnetometer offers unique control of systematic effects, in particular the Bloch-Siegert induced false EDM. Furthermore, there will be two distinct measurement modes: free precession and dressed spin. This will provide an important self-check of our results. Following five years of “critical component demonstration,” our collaboration transitioned to a “large scale integration” phase in 2018. An overview of our measurement techniques, experimental design, and brief updates are described in these proceedings.

Abstract
Objective: To describe baseline characteristics of patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome (pSS) with right heart catheterization (RHC)-confirmed pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Methods: This retrospective study included consecutive patients hospitalized with pSS-PAH from Jan.2013 to June.2019 in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital. All patients fulfilled the 2002 revised criteria for pSS proposed by the American-European Consensus Group. PAH was defined according to RHC-based European Society of Cardiology/European Respiratory Society guidelines. Associated variables were described and analyzed. Predictive factors for achieving treatment goals were explored. Sub-groups(based on Anti-SSB antibody positive/negative) were analyzed. Results: Twenty patients with RHC-confirmed pSS-PAH were included (median age at onset, 54.5 years; median PAH duration, 12 months).PAH was the initial manifestation of pSS in 5 patients(26.3%), and shortness of breath was the most common symptom (17/20,85%). Mean pulmonary arterialpressure (mPAP) was 48(38, 55.75)mmHg, pulmonary vascularresistance (PVR) was 11.23 (6.17,14.69)IU, and mean cardiac index was 2.59(2.04,2.98)L·min(-1)·m(-2) in this group. In addition, right ventricular diameter≤40 mm[P=0.009, HR=5.92, 95%CI(1.55, 22.59)] was predictive factor for achieving the treatment goal. Furthermore, compared with Anti-SSB antibody negative patients, patients with Anti-SSB antibody positive had a higher PVR(IU) [14.1(11.23, 22.63)vs 6.4(6.15, 12.36),P=0.025], a higher mPAP(mmHg)[5(48.5,59)vs 39(32.5,50.75),P=0.013], and a lower cardiac index (L·min(-1)·m(-2)) [2.1(1.6,2.5)vs 2.9(2.56,3.41),P=0.002]. Conclusions: pSS-PAH patients are mainly middle-aged women with the most common symptom shortness of breath. And PAH can be the first manifestation of pSS. More attention should be paid to patients with Anti-La/SSB antibody positive and right ventricular diameter ≤40 mm because of higher mPAP, PVR, worse cardiac function and prognosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the mechanism of exogenous adiponectin in the prevention of no-reflow phenomenon in type 2 diabetic (T2DM) patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) treatment. PATIENTS AND METHODS 66 patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 33 cases in each group. According to the percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) emergency treatment principle, patients from the control group were treated with an intracoronary injection of adenosine combined with a micro-pump intravenous infusion of tirofiban. Patients from the observation group were injected with exogenous adiponectin in addition to the adenosine and tirofiban treatments. RESULTS There were no significant differences in gender, age, location of the target lesion, degree of stenosis, stent implantation number, length and the inner diameter between control and observation group (p > 0.05). Lower frequent of slow blood flow and no-reflow and shorter interventional procedures were observed in observation group compared with those of control group (p < 0.05). Moreover, the increase of plasma creatine kinase (CK-MB) in patients of observation group was lower than that of the patients in control group (p < 0.05). In addition, the levels of troponin-I (cTnI), IL-6, TNF- α, endothelin-1 (ET-1), vascular endothelial adhesion molecular I (VCAM-1) and bax/Bcl-2 were significantly lower in observation group than those in control (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the occurrence of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) during a 12-month follow-up was significantly lower in the observation group than that of control (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Exogenous adiponectin further reduced the no-reflow phenomenon during PCI treatment of the patients with T2DM combined with AMI. The function of exogenous adiponectin is associated with the reduced myocardial and endothelial cell injury and the inhibited inflammation and apoptosis. The application of exogenous adiponectin can significantly improve the clinical outcomes.

Abstract
Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) caused huge agricultural impact on Passiflora edulis. However, the interactions between CMV and P. edulis are poorly unknown, which lead to lack of prevention and control measures. In this study, we identified the infection of CMV in P. edulis through modern small RNA sequencing (sRNA-seq) technology combined with traditional electron microscope and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods. We also confirmed CMV infection adversely affected or modulated the contents of phytochemicals and further injured the development of P. edulis; inversely, P. edulis modulated its resistance to CMV stress by increasing the levels of secondary metabolites and the activities of antioxidant enzymes components. This is of significant importance to understand the interaction between virus infection and plant host.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To estimate the burden of osteoarthritis (OA) among noninstitutionalized adults (≥18 years of age) in the US. DESIGN Weighted nationally representative data from the 2015 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey were used to estimate OA prevalence in noninstitutionalized adults and compare adults with OA to those without OA for clinical (pain interference with activities [PIA], functional limitations), humanistic (health-related quality-of-life [HRQoL]) and economic outcomes (healthcare costs, wage loss). Productivity/wage loss was estimated among employed working-age adults (18-64 years). Multivariable regression analyses examined the associations between OA and outcomes. RESULTS In 2015, 10.5% (25.6 million) of noninstitutionalized US adults reported having any OA. Regression analyses indicated that adults with OA were significantly more likely than those without OA to report moderate (adjusted odds ratios [AOR] 1.99; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.65-2.40] or severe PIA (AOR 2.59; 95% CI 2.21-3.04), any functional limitation (AOR 2.51; 95% CI 2.21-2.85), and poorer HRQoL on the SF-12 version 2 Physical Component Summary score (adjusted beta [standard error] -3.88 [0.357]; P < 0.001). Adjusted incremental annual total healthcare costs and lost wages among adults with OA relative to those without OA were $1778 and $189 per person, respectively, resulting in estimated national excess costs of $45 billion and $1.7 billion, respectively. CONCLUSIONS OA affects approximately 10% of noninstitutionalized adults in the US, resulting in substantial clinical, humanistic, and economic burdens.

Abstract
Objective: To study the diagnostic value of a multi-gene molecular testing in cytologically indeterminate thyroid nodules. Methods: From February 2018 to September 2018, patients with thyroid nodules who underwent fine needle aspiration(FNA) at Peking University Cancer Hospital were enrolled. Three hundred and sixty patients were included, consisting of 86 men and 274 women, with a mean age of 45.8 years (between 13 and 89 years old). Among 391 nodules, 141 were cytologically inderminate and 75 were resected. FNA samples underwent prospective testing using a next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay, which included 16 genes for point mutations and 26 types of gene fusions. The testing results of indeterminate nodules were compared with surgical outcomes, to determine the diagnostic performance. The results were compared with the BRAF V600E single gene mutation analysis by χ(2) test. Results: The multi-gene testing showed a sensitivity of 73.2%, specificity of 96.8%, positive predictive value of 96.8%, and negative predictive value of 73.2%. The diagnostic accuracy of multi-gene testing was significantly higher than the BRAF V600E mutation test (83.3% vs 73.6%, χ(2)=31.588, P<0.01). Conclusion: Multi-gene testing in FNA samples is an effective method to diagnose cytologically indeterminate thyroid nodules, which has a higher accuracy than BRAF V600E mutation detection.

Abstract
We used computational and experimental biology approaches to identify candidate mechanisms of action of aTraditional Chinese Medicine, Compound Kushen Injection (CKI), in a breast cancer cell line (MDA-MB-231). Because CKI is a complex mixture of plant secondary metabolites, we used a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) fractionation and reconstitution approach to define chemical fractions required for CKI to induce apoptosis. The initial fractionation separated major from minor compounds, and it showed that major compounds accounted for little of the activity of CKI. Furthermore, removal of no single major compound altered the effect of CKI on cell viability and apoptosis. However, simultaneous removal of two major compounds identified oxymatrine and oxysophocarpine as critical with respect to CKI activity. Transcriptome analysis was used to correlate compound removal with gene expression and phenotype data. Many compounds in CKI are required to trigger apoptosis but significant modulation of its activity is conferred by a small number of compounds. In conclusion, CKI may be typical of many plant based extracts that contain many compounds in that no single compound is responsible for all of the bioactivity of the mixture and that many compounds interact in a complex fashion to influence a network containing many targets.

Abstract
With the developments of science and technology, social development and people's pursuit of quality life, natural and safe skin care products occupied half of the cosmetics industry. In recent years, as synthetic drugs were found that which had toxic and some side effects, people have a tendency to return to nature. Thus, traditional Chinese medicinal plants were applied to natural cosmetics with good efficacy, little side effects and no allergy which had more advantages than synthetic products. The cosmetic products with pure natural ingredients were more and more favored by consumers. Therefore, the article mainly pays attention to the relationship between the active ingredients of Polygonatum sibiricum (PS) and their cosmetic effects, mainly included anti-aging activity, anti-bacteria effect, skin whitening and moisturizing effects. The article will provide more possibilities for research of natural ingredients cosmetics.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Although EGFR mutant tumors exhibit low response rates to immune checkpoint blockade overall, some EGFR mutant tumors do respond to these therapies; however, there is a lack of understanding of the characteristics of EGFR mutant lung tumors responsive to immune checkpoint blockade. PATIENTS AND METHODS We retrospectively analyzed de-identified clinical and molecular data on 171 cases of EGFR mutant lung tumors treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors from the Yale Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University of California Los Angeles, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. A separate cohort of 383 EGFR mutant lung cancer cases with sequencing data available from the Yale Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and The Cancer Genome Atlas was compiled to assess the relationship between tumor mutation burden and specific EGFR alterations. RESULTS Compared with 212 EGFR wild-type lung cancers, outcomes with programmed cell death 1 or programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-(L)1) blockade were worse in patients with lung tumors harboring alterations in exon 19 of EGFR (EGFRΔ19) but similar for EGFRL858R lung tumors. EGFRT790M status and PD-L1 expression did not impact response or survival outcomes to immune checkpoint blockade. PD-L1 expression was similar across EGFR alleles. Lung tumors with EGFRΔ19 alterations harbored a lower tumor mutation burden compared with EGFRL858R lung tumors despite similar smoking history. CONCLUSIONS EGFR mutant tumors have generally low response to immune checkpoint inhibitors, but outcomes vary by allele. Understanding the heterogeneity of EGFR mutant tumors may be informative for establishing the benefits and uses of PD-(L)1 therapies for patients with this disease.

Abstract
An n-body W-Cu potential is constructed under the framework of the embedded-atom method by means of a proposed function of the cross potential. This W-Cu potential is realistic to reproduce mechanical property and structural stability of WCu solid solutions within the entire composition range, and has better performances than the three W-Cu potentials already published in the literature. Based on this W-Cu potential, molecular dynamics simulation is conducted to reveal the mechanical property and dislocation evolution of the bilayer structure between pure W and W0.7Cu0.3 solid solution. It is found that the formation of the interface improves the strength of the W0.7Cu0.3 solid solutions along tensile loading perpendicular to the interface, as the interface impedes the evolution of the dislocation lines from the W0.7Cu0.3 solid solutions to the W part. Simulation also reveals that the interface has an important effect to significantly reduce the tensile strength and critical strain of W along the tensile loading parallel to the interface, which is intrinsically due to the slip of the edge or screw dislocations at low strains as a result of the lattice mismatch.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of micro-ribonucleic acid (miR)-130a on neuronal injury in rats with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) through the phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten/phosphatidylinositol 3-hydroxy kinase/protein kinase B (PTEN/PI3K/AKT) signaling pathway. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 30 healthy male rats were randomly divided into three groups, including the blank control group, ICH model group (ICH group) and ICH model + miR-130a treatment group (miR-130a treatment group). The differences in neurological injury, the number of apoptotic cells in brain tissues, the activity of Caspase-9 and protein expressions of PTEN/PI3K/AKT were analyzed among the three groups, respectively. RESULTS Neurological function was normal without injury in the control group. However, the neurological injury was severe in the ICH group and mild in the miR-130a treatment group. There were statistically significant differences in neurological function in the control group relative to those of the ICH group and miR-130a treatment group (p<0.05). Meanwhile, the neurological injury was markedly milder in the miR-130a treatment group than that of the ICH group, showing a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). The number of apoptotic cells was remarkably smaller in the control group when compared with the ICH group and miR-130a treatment group. However, it was markedly larger in the ICH group than that of the miR-130a treatment group, showing significant differences (p<0.05). The activity of Caspase-9 was significantly lower in the control group than ICH group and miR-130a treatment group (p<0.05). However, it increased remarkably in the ICH group compared with that of the miR-130a treatment group (p<0.05). Moreover, the protein level of PTEN in the ICH group was significantly higher than control group and miR-130a treatment group, displaying statistically significant differences (p<0.05). However, no marked difference in the protein level of PTEN was observed between the control group and miR-130a treatment group (p>0.05). The protein levels of the phosphorylated 3-hydroxy kinase (p-PI3K) and phosphorylated protein kinase B (p-AKT) were remarkably lower in the ICH group than those of the control group and miR-130a treatment group, displaying statistically significant differences (p<0.05). However, they were remarkably higher in the miR-130a treatment group than that of the control group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS MiR-130a promotes neuronal growth in brain tissues in ICH rats and alleviates neuronal injury after ICH through the PTEN/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Our findings suggest that miR-130a exerts important clinical significance in the treatment of ICH.

Abstract
Quantifying tumor burden is important for following the natural history of orthotopic colon cancer and therapeutic efficacy. Bioluminescence imaging (BLI) is commonly used for such assessment and has both advantages and limitations. We compared BLI and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for quantifying orthotopic tumors in a mouse model of colon cancer. Among sequences tested, T2-based MRI imaging ranked best overall for colon cancer border delineation, contrast, and conspicuity. Longitudinal MRI detected tumor outside the colon, indistinguished by BLI. Colon tumor weights calculated from MRI in vivo correlated highly with tumor weights measured ex vivo whereas the BLI signal intensities correlated relatively poorly and this difference in correlations was highly significant. This suggests that MRI may more accurately assess tumor burden in longitudinal monitoring of orthotopic colon cancer in this model as well as in other models.
