Abstract
Genomic DNA demethylation is important for mammalian embryonic development and organ function. 5-Hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) is considered a novel epigenetic marker. Ten-eleven translocation (TET) enzymes convert 5-methylcytosine (5mC) to 5hmC. To explore the dynamic changes of epigenetic modifications during organogenesis in the late mouse fetus, the regional distribution and histological localization of 5hmC and TET enzymes was investigated by immunohistochemical method. The liver of mouse fetus gradually matured from embryonic day (E) 12.5 to E18.5.5mC was positive in developing liver at E16.5 and E18.5. 5hmC, TET2 and TET3 were strongly positive in hepatocytes and oval cells at E18.5. The small intestinal villi were formed at E16.5. The striate border and goblet cells appeared at E18.5. 5mC was detectable from E12.5 to E18.5. 5hmC and TET2 were positive in small intestine at E12.5, E14.5, and E18.5. The alveolar was formed at E18.5. 5mC and 5hmC were detectable from E12.5 to E18.5. Only TET2 was positive in the lung of the late Kunming mouse fetus. For vertebra, mesenchymal cells formed hyaline cartilage at E15.5 and then ossify at E16.5 and E18.8. 5mC, 5hmC, and TET2 were detectable in chondrocytes and osteocytes during the late Kunming mouse fetal; TET1 expressed from E14.5 to E16.5 and TET3 expressed in bone matrix at E18.5. In summary, TET2 was strongly expressed in liver, small intestinal, lung, and vertebra in the late Kunming mouse fetus. These findings suggested that TET2 may play a more critical role than TET1 and TET3 during organogenesis in the late stage of Kunming mouse embryo. Abstract
We assessed the prevalence characteristics of single and multiple high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) infections. A total of 1783 women who underwent colposcopy and cervical biopsy for abnormal ThinPrep Cytology Test and/or HR-HPV subtype genotyping results were enrolled in the study. Among the participants, 770 were diagnosed with cervicitis, 395 with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 1 (CIN1), 542 with CIN2-3, and 76 with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), with HR-HPV infection rates of 75.8%, 85.8%, 95.9%, and 88.4%, respectively. The prevalence of total and multiple HR-HPV infections exhibited a bimodal age distribution with a peak at ≤25 years, a decline with age and a second peak at ≥55 years, whereas single HR-HPV infections exhibited one peak from 35 to 44 years. The four most dominant HPV genotypes were HPV 16 (29.5%), 52 (15.0%), 58 (14.2%), and 18 (10.4%). In total, 67.0%, 70.4%, and 82.1% of patients with CIN1, CIN2-3, and SCC, respectively, had a single HR-HPV infection, which increased significantly with the aggravation of the cervical lesion grade (P = 0.045). Patients with a single HPV 16 infection had higher incidences of CIN2+ (62.2%) than those with multiple HPV 16 infections (52.4%) (P = 0.021). Patients coinfected with HPV 16 had higher CIN2+ incidence than those with single HPV 52, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 56, or 59 infections (P < 0.001). This study provided baseline data on the prevalence characteristics of single and multiple HR-HPV infections in women attending a gynecological outpatient clinic in Beijing.

Abstract
Energy supply and information backhaul are critical problems for wireless sensor networks deployed in remote places with poor infrastructure. To deal with these problems, this paper proposes an airborne massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system for wireless energy transfer (WET) and information transmission. An air platform (AP) equipped with a two-dimensional rectangular antenna array is employed to broadcast energy and provide wireless access for ground sensors. By exploiting the statistical property of air-terrestrial MIMO channels, the energy and information beamformers are jointly designed to maximize the average received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), which gives rise to a statistical max-SINR beamforming scheme. The scheme does not rely on the instantaneous channel state information, but still requires large numbers of RF chains at AP. To deal with this problem, a heuristic strongest-path energy and information beamforming scheme is proposed, which can be implemented in the analog-domain with low computational and hardware complexity. The analysis of the relation between the two schemes reveals that, with proper sensor scheduling, the strongest-path beamforming is equivalent to the statistical max-SINR beamforming when the number of AP antennas tends to infinity. Using the asymptotic approximation of average received SINR at AP, the system parameters, including transmit power, number of active antennas of AP and duration of WET phase, are optimized jointly to maximize the system energy efficiency. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed schemes achieve a good tradeoff between system performance and complexity.

Abstract
A 62-year-old female presenting with anemia and extensive hemorrhages is reported. Coagulation tests showed significantly prolonged prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time. Decreased levels of clotting factor X activity were determined (5.4%). Bone marrow biopsy revealed neoplastic plasma cells. Serum and urine protein electrophoresis were both negative for monoclonal gammopathy, and both bone marrow and abdominal fat biopsies were negative for amyloid deposition. The patient was diagnosed as suffering from nonsecretory multiple myeloma (MM) complicated by acquired factor X deficiency. A complete response (CR) of the myeloma and recovery of factor X activity (56.6%) were achieved after the administration of treatment, including chemotherapy and bortezomib. We suggest that patients with nonsecretory MM might present with factor X deficiency and should be carefully screened for light chain amyloidosis. Novel agents such as bortezomib should be highly considered as treatment in these patients.

Abstract
In a collaborative product design project, reasonable resource allocation can shorten the development cycle and reduce cost. Team capacity evaluation and a task-team scheduling model are presented. A collaborative team capacity model is constructed, and a 2-tuple linguistic method is used to evaluate the capacity of collaborative teams. Next, the matching degree between design task and collaborative team is defined. A collaborative product design scheduling model considering task-team matching is developed. Combined with the simulated annealing operator, based on the single-coding strategy, self-adaptive multi-point cross and mutation, an improved genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the model. Finally, a case study is presented to validate the method.

Abstract
The elucidation of the underlying molecular mechanism of H2O2‑induced adipocyte differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is important for the development of treatments for metabolic diseases. The aim of the present study was to identify microRNA (miR)‑330‑5p, which targets retinoid X receptor γ (RXRγ) and to determine the function of H2O2‑induced adipogenic differentiation of MSCs. During differentiation of MSCs into adipocytes induced by H2O2, miR‑330‑5p expression was decreased with a concomitant increase in RXRγ expression. A luciferase assay with RXRγ 3'‑untranslated region (UTR) reporter plasmid, including the miR‑330‑5p‑binding sequences, identified that the introduction of miR‑330‑5p decreases luciferase activity. However, it did not affect the activity of mutated RXRγ 3'‑UTR reporter. Enforced expression of miR‑330‑5p significantly inhibited adipocyte differentiation by decreasing RXRγ mRNA and protein levels. In contrast, inhibition of the endogenous miR‑330‑5p promoted the formation of lipid droplets by rescuing RXRγ expression. Furthermore, the effects of inhibition of RXRγ were similar to those of overexpression of miR‑330‑5p on H2O2‑induced adipogenic differentiation from MSCs. miR‑330‑5p inhibits H2O2‑induced adipogenic differentiation of MSCs, and this is dependent on RXRγ. Taken together, the results of the present study revealed that miR‑330‑5p acts as a critical regulator of RXRγ, and is able to determinate the fate of MSCs to differentiate into adipocytes. This suggests that miR‑330‑5p and RXRγ may be target molecules for controlling metabolic diseases.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW To update the recent development of spinal cord stimulation (SCS) technology in the management of chronic pain. RECENT FINDINGS Efficacy of SCS therapy has been significantly improved by the recent development of high frequency (HF-10 kHz) stimulation, burst stimulation, and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation. A few latest SCS modalities are in clinical trial. New approaches to guide lead placement and advances in surgical lead are introduced. SUMMARY HF-10 SCS is free of paresthesia and associated with significantly better coverage of axial lower back pain. Burst stimulation invokes minimal paresthesia and provides better coverage of low back pain. DRG stimulation results in better outcomes in patients with complex regional pain syndrome. It requires less energy and delivers consistent stimulation regardless of postural variations. Clinical trials with new SCS modalities, such as Stimwaves, are under way to make SCS wireless. Intraoperative neuromonitoring and paresthesia atlas may be used to guide lead placement. Multicolumn surgical paddle leads enable a combination of independent current control with up to 32 contacts for better programming and better coverage.

Abstract
MicroRNAs, a class of small and non-encoding RNAs that transcriptionally or post-transcriptionally modulate the expression of their target genes, have been implicated as critical regulatory molecules in ischemia-/reperfusion-induced cardiac injury. In the present study, we report on the role of miR-208a in myocardial I/R injury and the underlying cardio-protective mechanism. The gain-of-function and loss-of-function were used to explore the effects of miR-208a on cardiac injury induced by H2O2 in cardiomyocytes. As predicted, knockdown of endogenous miR-208a significantly decreased the level of cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reduced cardiomyocyte apoptosis. In addition, miR-208a overexpression increased the ROS level and attenuated cell apoptosis in cardiomyocytes. Furthermore, protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type G (PTPRG) and protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 4 (PTPN4), which participate in regulating the level of cellular protein tyrosine phosphorylation balance, were predicted and verified as potential miR-208a targets using bioinformatics and luciferase assay. In summary, this study demonstrated that miR-208a plays a critical protective role in ROS-induced cardiac apoptosis.

Abstract
Our previous study indicated that loureirin A induces hair follicle stem cell (HFSC) differentiation through Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway activation. However, if and how microRNAs (miRNAs/miRs) modulate loureirin A-induced differentiation remains to be elucidated. In the present study, HFSCs were separated from the vibrissae of rats and identified by CD34 and keratin, type 1 cytoskeletal (K)15 expression. Microarray-based miRNA profiling analysis revealed that miR-339-5p was downregulated in loureirin A-induced HFSC differentiation. miR-339-5p overexpression by transfection with miR-339-5p mimics markedly inhibited the expression of K10 and involucrin, which are markers of epidermal differentiation, whereas inhibition of miR-339-5p by miR-339-5p inhibitor transfection promoted the expression of K10 and involucrin. These results suggest that miR-339-5p is a negative regulator of HFSC differentiation following induction by loureirin A. These findings were confirmed by a luciferase assay. Homeobox protein DLX-5 (DLX5) was identified as a direct target of miR-339-5p. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that miR-339-5p inhibited DLX5. Overexpression of miR-339-5p by mimic transfection significantly inhibited protein Wnt-3a (Wnt3a) expression, while inhibition of miR-339-5p by inhibitor transfection significantly increased the expression of Wnt3a. Furthermore, small interfering RNA targeting DLX5 was transfected into HFSCs, and western blot analysis revealed that Wnt3a, involucrin and K10 expression was significantly downregulated. Taken together, these results suggest that miR-339-5p negatively regulated loureirin A-induced HFSC differentiation by targeting DLX5, resulting in Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway inhibition. This may provide a possible therapeutic target for skin repair and regeneration.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features of FIGO stage Ⅰ uterine Müllerian adenosarcoma and clinical prognosis. Methods: Fifteen cases of uterine Müllerian adenosarcoma at FIGO stage Ⅰ were collected at PLA General Hospital from 2005 to 2017. Twelve cases with complete follow-up data were divided into 2 groups: group A (7 patients with survival) and group B(5 patients of death or tumor progression). Clinicopathologic features were compared between the two groups. Results: The median age of the patients was 43 years and 56 years, and the tumor size was 4.3 cm and 7.3 cm for group A and B, respectively. Cases in group A were FIGO ⅠA and ⅠB stage tumors and were mainly low grade in histology (5/7) with rare tumor hemorrhagec, necrosis (1/7) and sarcomatous overgrowth. In contrast, most cases in group B were high grade sarcomas(3/5) with frequent hemorrhage, necrosis(3/5) and sarcomatous overgrowth(4/5). Most cases of group A expressed ER, PR and CD10 (6/7) and low Ki-67 index of ≤20%(5/7). While most group B cases lost expression of ER and PR (3/5), significantly reduced expression of CD10 and higher Ki-67 index of ≥30%(4/5). Conclusions: Most of uterine adenosarcomas are of low malignant potential. The main prognostic indicator is advanced tumor stage. For patients at stage Ⅰ, sarcomatous overgrowth, high-grade histology, deep myometrial invasion, decreased or absent expression of CD10, ER and PR, increased Ki-67 index(≥30%) and hemorrhagic necrosis may indicate poor prognosis. Müllerian adenosarcomas arising from endomeriosis may present unusual growth patterns.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the spectrum of mutations in families with benign familial neonatal-infantile epilepsy (BFNIE) . Methods: Clinical data and peripheral blood DNA samples of all BFNIE probands and their family members were collected from Peking University First Hospital between December 2012 and April 2016. Clinical phenotypes of affected members were analyzed. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood samples with standard protoco1. Mutations in PRRT2 were screened using Sanger sequencing. For families that PRRT2 mutations were not detected by Sanger sequencing, candidate gene mutations were further screened by next-generation sequencing for epilepsy. Results: A total of 7 families were collected. Of the 30 affected members, 15 were male and 15 were female. The age of epilepsy onset was from 2 days to 6 months. Genetic testing led to the identification of gene mutations in all families. One family had the PRRT2 hotspot mutation (c.649dupC). Three families had missense SCN2A mutations (c.2674G>A/p.V892I, c.2872A>G/p.M958V, and c.2627A>G/p.N876S) . Both c.2872A>G/p.M958V and c.2627A>G/p.N876S were novel SCN2A mutations. Three families had KCNQ2 mutations. Two of them had missense mutations (c.958G>A/p.V320I and c.998G>A/p.R333Q) . The KCNQ2 mutation c.958G>A/p.V320I was novel. One family had a gene deletion of KCNQ2, which also extended to the adjacent gene, CHRNA4; and the deletion involved all the exons of KCNQ2 and CHRNA4. Conclusions: Mutations in KCNQ2, SCN2A, and PRRT2 are genetic causes of BFNIE in Chinese families. The detection rate for gene mutations is high in BFNIE families. KCNQ2 and SCN2A mutations are common in BFNIE families. SCN2A mutations (c.2872A>G/p.M958V and c.2627A>G/p.N876S) and KCNQ2 mutation (c.958G>A/p.V320I) are novel mutations.

Abstract
The combination of intermediate-dose cyclophosphamide (ID-CTX) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) fails to mobilize peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) in approximately 20% of treated patients with multiple myeloma (MM).In this cohort study, patients with MM underwent PBSC mobilization with either an ID-CTX plus G-CSF plus recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO) regimen (72 patients; TPO group), or an ID-CTX plus G-CSF regimen (70 patients; non-TPO group). In the TPO group, the median CD34+ harvest was 5.36 × 10 per kg of body weight (0.50-22.39 × 10 per kg of body weight), with a harvest success rate of 91.7% (66/72), and an excellence rate of 55.6% (40/72). In the non-TPO group, the median CD34+ harvest was 3.30 × 10 per kg of body weight (0.20-21.14 × 10 per kg of body weight), with a harvest success rate of 75.7% (53/70), and an excellence rate of 25.7% (18/70). The median count of the CD34+ cells collected, success rate of collection, and excellence rate of collection were significantly higher in the TPO group than in the non-TPO group (P=.0001, P=.01, and P = .0001, respectively). Time to granulocyte and platelet engraftment was faster among patients in the TPO group than that in those from the non-TPO group. No platelet engraftment delay (>21 days) was observed among patients in the TPO group, while 3 patients in the non-TPO group displayed delayed platelet engraftment.Adding rhTPO to the ID-CTX chemotherapy plus G-CSF regimen improved treatment efficacy in mobilizing PBSCs for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the expression and relevant clinical and pathological significance of AT-rich interactive domaincontaining protein 1A (ARID1A) mRNA in endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer. METHODS The clinical and pathological data of 63 patients with ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) and of 43 patients with ovarian endometrioid adenocarcinoma (OEAC) were collected. The expression of ARID1A-encoded protein, baf250a, in ovarian cancer tissues was detected using immunohistochemistry. The ARID1A mRNA expression was detected via RNAscope hybridization in situ, and its correlation with the clinical and pathological features of patients was analyzed. RESULTS The age at the onset of OEAC patients accompanied with endometriosis (CM-EAC) was lower than that of those not accompanied with endometriosis (NCM-EAC) (p<0.001). For patients with OCCC, the lymph node metastasis (LNM) rate of CM-CCC patients was significantly lower compared to NCM-CCC (p=0.02) and FIGO stage was earlier (stage I and II) (p=0.013). The expression of baf250a in OCCC group was significantly lower than that in the EAC group (p=0.033). In the OCCC group, baf250a was significantly related to early FIGO staging (stage I and II) (p=0.026), while its expression was not significantly associated with FIGO staging of EAC, age, tumor size, occurrence site and LND. The mRNA expression of ARID1A was positively correlated with the expression of baf250a (in OCCC group, rp=0.936, p<0.01; in OEAC group, rp=0.325, p=0.035). Analysis of prognosis showed that baf250a was an important prognostic factor rather than an independent prognostic factor, affecting the overall survival (OS) of patients with OCCC, while patients with low ARID1A mRNA expression had a longer-term OS. CONCLUSION The decreased gene and protein expression levels of ARID1A are related to the occurrence and development of endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer, especially OCCC. The detection of ARID1A mRNA expression may be used to predict the OS of OCCC.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the clinical features and gene mutations of epilepsy of infancy with migrating focal seizures (EIMFS). Method: Clinical features and electroencephalograms(EEG)of 9 patients with EIMFS of Peking University First Hospital from May 2015 to January 2016 were analyzed. Candidate gene mutations were screened by next generation sequencing. Result: Among the 9 patients, 3 were males and 6 were females. Two patients had family history. Seizure onset age was 2 days to 3 months after birth (median age 35 days). Migrating focal seizure was presented. Seizures manifested as eyes and(or)head deviation, involuntary blinking, swallowing, trembling or stiffness of limbs, hand clenching, flushing and cyanosis of lips, etc. Four patients had a history of status epilepticus. All 9 patients had psychomotor delay. EEG of all patients presented relatively slow background; during interictal phase, there were multi-focal epileptic discharges, which dominated one hemisphere or brain region; seizures were recorded in all 9 cases, which manifested eyes or(and)head deviation, stiffening or trembling of limbs, lip smacking, etc. Corresponding EEG showed low-medium-amplitude fast waves that originated from some brain regions and migrated to other regions. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was abnormal in 4 cases, which predominantly showed white matter dysplasia and enlargement of subarachnoid spaces. Two cases carried heterozygous missense mutations of SCN1A gene, while 3 cases carried heterozygous missense mutations of KCNT1 gene, all of which were de novo. One case carried compound heterozygous mutation of TBC1D24 gene(p.Gln207*, p. Ala289Va). Gene mutation was not found in 3 cases. All patients used multiple antiepileptic drugs (AED) and their seizures were not controlled. Follow-up ranged from 2 months to 5 years and 8 months, during which 4 were found dead. Two were lost to follow-up. Conclusion: EIMFS is clinically characterized by early onset, which is usually within 3 months after birth, migrating focal seizures, psychomotor delay, bad response to AED and high death rate. The interictal EEG showed multi-focal discharges, while ictal EEG shows migrating multifocal discharges. Genetic analysis can assist in diagnosis and genetic counseling.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of maintenance therapy with reduced dose of rhTPO in the patients with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who attained stable platelet (PLT) counts after daily administration of rhTPO. Methods: Treatment was started with a daily administration of rhTPO (300 U/kg) for 2 consecutive weeks. Patients who attained stable PLT≥50×10(9)/L were enrolled to maintenance therapy starting with every other day administration of rhTPO, then adjusted dose interval to maintain platelet count (30-100) ×10(9)/L. Results: A total of 91 eligible patients were enrolled. Fourteen patients discontinued the study due to noncompliance (12/14) and investigator decision (2/14) . Among 77 patients who completed the study, 38 patients with the administration of rhTPO at every other day or less could maintain PLT≥30×10(9)/L for 12 weeks. The percentage of patients with a platelet response (PLT≥30×10(9)/L) at 4(th) week, 8(th) week and 12(th) week of maintain therapy was 92.6% (63/68) , 82.7% (43/52) and 85.0% (34/40) , respectively. Median platelet counts remained in the range of (70-124) ×10(9)/L. The overall incidence of rhTPO-related adverse events was 7.7%. All the adverse events were generally mild. Conclusion: Extending the dose interval of rhTPO is feasible to maintain stable platelet count in the patients with ITP, but the optimal dose interval is uncertain and might vary with individuals.

Abstract
Congenital right atrial aneurysm is a rare abnormality and may easily be confused with various anomalies, such as pericardial effusion, pericardial cysts, tumors, and Ebstein's anomaly. Patients with right atrial aneurysm may be asymptomatic; but some patients may develop life-threatening complications, such as arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, or pulmonary embolism. Therefore, it is essential for correct diagnosis and appropriate patient management. We report a case of giant right atrial aneurysm in a 7-year-old boy who presented with progressive protrusion of chest. Echocardiography established the definitive diagnosis and surgical resection was successful.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and neuroimaging characteristics of acute encephalopathy (AE) after status epilepticus (SE) of patients with Dravet syndrome (DS). Method: The clinical data of DS patients who had AE (coma ≥24 h) after SE were retrospectively collected from February 2005 to August 2016 in Peking University First Hospital and SCN1A gene tests were performed. The clinical and neuroimaging features were summarized. Result: Twenty-two patients (9 males and 13 females) with AE were collected among 412 DS patients during follow-up.Of which 18 patients had SCN1A gene mutations while the remaining 4 patients had no SCN1A gene mutations. The onset age of AE was between 6 months and 10 years. The duration of SE varied between 40 minutes and 9 hours.Prior to the onset of SE, twenty-one patients had high fever, and one patient had normal temperature.Coma lasted from 2 days to 20 days.Nine patients died after the AE, and 13 patients survived with massive neurological regression. From AE to the last visit, the median time of follow-up was 2 years and 3 months (from 7 months to 4 years and 4 months). Nine of 13 survivors had varied improvement in motor, language and cognition, while the remaining 4 patients had no significant improvement. After AE, there were 6 patients with seizure-free, 4 patients with reduced seizures, and 3 patients with no change in seizure frequency, moreover, spasm occurred in 2 patients.Six patients had brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in acute phase and showed bilateral (2 patients) or unilateral (4 patients) hemisphere edema, accompanied by subcortical white matter hyperintense signal in T1 and T2 weighted images in two patients. The neuroimaging of 13 survivors demonstrated diverse cortical atrophy during recovery phase, among which 4 patients showed cerebellar atrophy, one patient had right pontine atrophy, 4 patients accompanied by signal abnormalities in subcortical and periventricular white matter, 2 patients showed right hippocampal sclerosis, and one patient showed signal abnormalities in bilateral basal ganglia. Conclusion: SE is more prone to occur in Dravet patients who have high fever. It may result in AE or even death in severe cases.Survivors will leave severe neurological sequelae. The neuroimaging shows brain edema in acute phase. In recovery phase the neuroimaging shows diverse brain atrophy, moreover, a few patients may be associated with cerebellar or pontine atrophy, hippocampal sclerosis or abnormal signals in white matter or basal ganglia.

Abstract
Objectives The aim of this study is to present a case of successful relief of bilateral occipital neuralgia (ON) using unilateral occipital nerve stimulation (ONS) and to discuss the possible underlying mechanisms. Materials and methods We present the case of a 59-year-old female patient with severe bilateral ON treated with unilateral ONS. We systematically reviewed previous studies of ONS for ON, discussing the possible mechanisms of ONS in the relief of ON. Results The patient reported complete pain relief after consistent unilateral ONS during the follow-up period. The underlying mechanisms may be linked to the relationship between pain and several brain regions, including the pons, midbrain, and periaqueductal gray. Conclusion ONS is an effective and safe option for treating ON. Future studies will be required to clarify the mechanisms by which unilateral occipital stimulation provided relief for bilateral neuralgia in this case.
