Abstract
We investigated the level of Chinese soccer fans' satisfaction with the development of professional soccer in China on the basis of their attention to, and involvement with, the Chinese Football Association Super League (CSL) and its teams. Research participants (N = 926) were
spectators at CSL games who responded to a questionnaire. Results revealed that the attention consumers paid to, and their involvement with, the CSL were negatively related to their satisfaction with the league's operation and marketing. These findings contradict existing theories and beliefs
that positive consumer cognition leads to positive consumer affect, indicating the presence of serious issues associated with the CSL administration. The failings of the CSL are discussed.

Abstract
We report a study of the process e^{+}e^{-}→(D^{*}D[over ¯]^{*})^{0}π^{0} using e^{+}e^{-} collision data samples with integrated luminosities of 1092 pb^{-1} at sqrt[s]=4.23 GeV and 826 pb^{-1} at sqrt[s]=4.26 GeV collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. We observe a new neutral structure near the (D^{*}D[over ¯]^{*})^{0} mass threshold in the π^{0} recoil mass spectrum, which we denote as Z_{c}(4025)^{0}. Assuming a Breit-Wigner line shape, its pole mass and pole width are determined to be (4025.5_{-4.7}^{+2.0}±3.1) MeV/c^{2} and (23.0±6.0±1.0) MeV, respectively. The Born cross sections of e^{+}e^{-}→Z_{c}(4025)^{0}π^{0}→(D^{*}D[over ¯]^{*})^{0}π^{0} are measured to be (61.6±8.2±9.0) pb at sqrt[s]=4.23 GeV and (43.4±8.0±5.4) pb at sqrt[s]=4.26 GeV. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic.

Abstract
Using a data sample collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring, we observe a new neutral state Z_{c}(3900)^{0} with a significance of 10.4σ. The mass and width are measured to be 3894.8±2.3±3.2 MeV/c^{2} and 29.6±8.2±8.2 MeV, respectively, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. The Born cross section for e^{+}e^{-}→π^{0}π^{0}J/ψ and the fraction of it attributable to π^{0}Z_{c}(3900)^{0}→π^{0}π^{0}J/ψ in the range E_{c.m.}=4.19-4.42 GeV are also determined. We interpret this state as the neutral partner of the four-quark candidate Z_{c}(3900)^{±}.

Abstract
We report an observation of the process J/ψ→γX(1835)→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η at low K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0} mass with a statistical significance larger than 12.9σ using a data sample of 1.31×10^{9} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector. In this region of phase space the K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0} system is dominantly produced through the f_{0}(980). By performing a partial wave analysis, we determine the spin parity of the X(1835) to be J^{PC}=0^{-+}. The mass and width of the observed X(1835) are 1844±9(stat)_{-25}^{+16}(syst) MeV/c^{2} and 192_{-17}^{+20}(stat)_{-43}^{+62}(syst) MeV, respectively, which are consistent with the results obtained by BESIII in the channel J/ψ→γπ^{+}π^{-}η^{'}.

Preventive effect of reduced glutathione on contrast-induced nephropathy in elderly patients undergoing coronary angiography or intervention: a randomized, controlled trial. Braz J Med Biol Res 2015; 48:839-42. [PMID: 26176313 PMCID: PMC4568812 DOI: 10.1590/1414-431x20154676] [Citation(s) in RCA: 4] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.4] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 01/08/2015] [Accepted: 04/28/2014] [Indexed: 11/21/2022] Open
Abstract
Coronary angiography can be a high-risk condition for the incidence of contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) in elderly patients. Reduced glutathione, under a variety of mechanisms, may prevent CIN in this procedure. We prospectively examined whether hydration with reduced glutathione is superior to hydration alone for prevention of CIN in an elderly Han Chinese population. A total of 505 patients (271 males and 234 females) aged 75 years or older who underwent non-emergency coronary angiography or an intervention were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group received hydration with reduced glutathione (n=262) and the control group received hydration alone (n=243). Serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels were measured prior to coronary angiography and 48 h after this procedure. The primary endpoint was occurrence of CIN, which was defined as 25% or 44.2 µmol/L above baseline serum creatinine levels 48 h after the procedure. The overall incidence of CIN was 6.49% in the treatment group and 7.41% in the control group, with no significant difference between the groups (P=0.68). In subgroup analysis by percutaneous coronary intervention, no significant differences were found between the two groups. In summary, reduced glutathione added to optimal hydration does not further decrease the risk of CIN in elderly patients undergoing coronary angiography or an intervention.

The measured mass of the X(3823) state is (3821.7±1.3±0.7) MeV/c2, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic, and the width is less than 16 MeV at the 90% confidence level. The products of the Born cross sections for e+e-→π+π-X(3823) and the branching ratio B[X(3823)→γχc1,c2] are also measured. These measurements are in good agreement with the assignment of the X(3823) state as the ψ(1 3D2) charmonium state.

Abstract
Genome-wide association studies in several ethnic groups have reported that polymorphisms of the telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) and cleft lip and palate transmembrane 1-like (CLPTM1L) genes, located on 5p15.33, are associated with susceptibility to lung cancer. However, whether genetic variants of TERT-CLPTM1L are associated with an increased risk of lung cancer in the Chinese Han population is unknown. This study examined associations between five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of TERT-CLPTM1L (rs402710, rs401681, rs465498, rs4975616, and rs2736100) and lung cancer in a Chinese Han population in the Hubei Province. The five SNPs were detected using the Sequenom MassArray(®) iPLEX System in 304 lung cancer patients and 319 controls. Of the five SNPs, rs4975616 did not conform to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in the controls. Only rs2736100 was significantly (P = 0.034) associated with an increased risk of lung cancer. In the linkage disequilibrium analyses, a block of strong linkage disequilibrium was observed between rs401681 and rs465498 (D' = 0.986; r(2) = 0.546). No linkage disequilibrium between rs2736100 and the other three SNPs was found. In the haplotype analyses, the frequencies of the TTCT haplotype in rs402710, rs401681, rs465498, and rs2736100 differed significantly between case and control subjects (odds ratio = 0.56; 95% confidence interval, 0.36-0.88; P = 0.012). The results of this study suggested that rs2736100 on TERT-CLPTM1L indicates a poor prognosis for lung cancer in the Chinese Han population.

Abstract
Based on data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at nine center of mass energies from 4.21 to 4.42 GeV, we search for the production of e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{cJ} (J=0, 1, 2). The process e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c0} is observed for the first time, and the Born cross sections at sqrt[s]=4.23 and 4.26 GeV are measured to be (55.4±6.0±5.9) and (23.7±5.3±3.5) pb, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The ωχ_{c0} signals at the other seven energies and the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} and ωχ_{c2} signals are not significant, and the upper limits on the cross sections are determined. By examining the ωχ_{c0} cross section as a function of center of mass energy, we find that it is inconsistent with the line shape of the Y(4260) observed in e^{+}e^{-}→π^{+}π^{-}J/ψ. Assuming the ωχ_{c0} signals come from a single resonance, we extract the mass and width of the resonance to be (4230±8±6) MeV/c^{2} and (38±12±2) MeV, respectively, and the statistical significance is more than 9σ.

Abstract
AIM We aimed to investigate the feasibility, initial safety and efficacy of coronary intervention using FIREHAWK®, a novel abluminal groove-filled biodegradable polymer sirolimus-eluting stent (SES), in patients with complex anatomical and clinical scenarios. METHODS A total of 57 patients (79 lesions) with complex anatomical and clinical scenarios implanted with the FIREHAWK® SES between March and November 2014 were studied. The primary endpoint was target lesion failure (TLF), a composite endpoint of cardiac death, target vessel-myocardial infarction (TV-MI), and ischemia-driven target lesion revascularization (iTLR). Optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound was performed according to the discretion of operators. RESULTS 28.1% of patients presented acute myocardial infarction and all patients had at least one of the following anatomical and locational complexity: multi-vessel disease (64.9%), left main disease (24.6%), chronic total occlusion (17.5%), bifurcation (56.1%), and heavily calcified lesions (10.5%). One patients experienced coronary perforation during the procedure and resolved without any additional treatment. Device success was 100%, clinical success was 100%. There was 1 (1.8%) TLF occurred at follow-up of 150 ± 65 days. One patients had non-iTLR. Out of 2 non-Q-wave MI, 1 patient experienced TV-MI, but no death and stent thrombosis were reported. OCT and IVUS imaging showed a high rate of covered struts and low neointimal hyperplasia at follow-up. CONCLUSION The study showed the feasibility, initial safety and efficacy of coronary intervention using FIREHAWK® SES for treating patients with complex anatomical and clinical scenarios. The performance of the FIREHAWK® SES in complex patients justifies the conduct of a large, randomized trial.

Abstract
Using data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider at center-of-mass energies of sqrt[s]=4.23, 4.26, and 4.36 GeV, we observe e(+)e(-)→π(0)π(0)hc for the first time. The Born cross sections are measured and found to be about half of those of e(+)e(-)→π(+)π(-)hc within less than 2σ. In the π(0)hc mass spectrum, a structure at 4.02 GeV/c(2) is found. It is most likely to be the neutral isospin partner of the Zc(4020)(±) observed in the process of e(+)e(-)→π(+)π(-)hc being found. A fit to the π(0)hc invariant mass spectrum, with the width of the Zc(4020)(0) fixed to that of its charged isospin partner and possible interferences with non-Zc(4020)(0) amplitudes neglected, gives a mass of (4023.9±2.2±3.8) MeV/c(2) for the Zc(4020)(0), where the first error is statistical and the second systematic.

Abstract
The direct plasma injection scheme (DPIS) has been being studied at Institute of Modern Physics since several years ago. A C(6+) beam with peak current of 13 mA, energy of 593 keV/u has been successfully achieved after acceleration with DPIS method. To understand the process of DPIS, some simulations have been done as follows. First, with the total current intensity and the relative yields of different charge states for carbon ions measured at the different distance from the target, the absolute current intensities and time-dependences for different charge states are scaled to the exit of the laser ion source in the DPIS. Then with these derived values as the input parameters, the extraction of carbon beam from the laser ion source to the radio frequency quadrupole with DPIS is simulated, which is well agreed with the experiment results.

Abstract
Using a sample of 1.3 × 10(9) J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of η(')→π(+)π(-)π(+)π(-) and η(')→π(+)π(-)π(0)π(0). The measured branching fractions are B(η(')→π(+)π(-)π(+)π(-)) = [8.53 ± 0.69(stat.) ± 0.64(syst.)]×10(-5) and B(η(')→π(+)π(-)π(0) π(0)) = [1.82 ± 0.35(stat.) ± 0.18(syst.)] × 10(-4), which are consistent with theoretical predictions based on a combination of chiral perturbation theory and vector-meson dominance.

Abstract
Our aim in this study was to examine the structural relationships among service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Participants, who were all aged 60 years or older and who were members of a sport and fitness center, completed surveys to assess
these relationships. Scanning electron microscopy results showed that provision of high-quality services for older adult consumers in a sport and fitness center elevated perceived value, enhanced customer satisfaction, reduced complaint behavior, and ultimately increased the likelihood of
renewed membership and continued use of the center facilities.

Abstract
Aggregated 17.125 Gb/s real-time end-to-end dual-band optical OFDM (OOFDM) transmissions over 25 km SSMF IMDD systems with 7 dB receiver sensitivity improvements are experimentally demonstrated, for the first time, by utilizing low-cost transceiver components such as directly modulated 1GHz RSOAs and DACs/ADCs operating at sampling speeds as low as 4GS/s. The demonstrated OOFDM transceivers have both strong adaptability and sufficiently large passband carrier frequency tunability, which enable full use of highly dynamic spectral characteristics of the transmission systems. This results in the achievements of not only excellent performance robustness to variations in system operating conditions but also significantly relaxed requirements on RSOA small-signal modulation bandwidth. It is shown that the aforementioned transmission capacity only varies by <23% over a RSOA-injected optical power variation range as large as 20dB, and that the 1 GHz RSOAs can support successful transmissions of adaptively modulated OOFDM signals having bandwidths of 8.5 GHz. By taking into account the adopted 25% cyclic prefix and a typical 7.3% FEC overhead, the demonstrated real-time OOFDM transmission systems are capable of conveying 11.6 Gb/s user data.

Abstract
With data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring at center-of-mass energies from 4.009 to 4.420 GeV, the process e+e-→ γX(3872) is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 6.3σ. The measured mass of the X(3872) is (3871.9 ± 0.7s tat ± 0.2 syst) MeV/c(2), in agreement with previous measurements. Measurements of the product of the cross section σ[e+e- → γX(3872)] and the branching fraction B[X(3872)→π+π-J/ψ] at center-of-mass energies 4.009, 4.229, 4.260, and 4.360 GeV are reported. Our measurements are consistent with expectations for the radiative transition process Y(4260) → γX(3872).

Abstract
The abundance of different ions produced by laser ion sources is usually analyzed by an electrostatic ion analyzer (EIA). Ion current intensities in the range of several mA/cm(2) at the position of the EIA have been achieved from the laser ion source developed by the Institute of Modern Physics; this indicates that a noticeable influence of space charge effect during the ion transmission will occur. Hence, while the parameters of the EIA or the beams are changed, such as ion species, current intensity, the ions' transmission efficiency through the EIA is different, which will result in an uncertainty in the estimation of the ions' yields. Special attention is focused on this issue in this paper. Ion's transmissions through the EIA under different circumstances are studied with simulations and experiments, the results of which are consistent with each other.

Abstract
As one of the candidate ion sources for a planned project, the High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility, a laser ion source has been being intensively studied at the Institute of Modern Physics in the past two years. The charge state distributions of ions produced by irradiating a pulsed 3 J/8 ns Nd:YAG laser on solid targets of a wide range of elements (C, Al, Ti, Ni, Ag, Ta, and Pb) were measured with an electrostatic ion analyzer spectrometer, which indicates that highly charged ions could be generated from low-to-medium mass elements with the present laser system, while the charge state distributions for high mass elements were relatively low. The shot-to-shot stability of ion pulses was monitored with a Faraday cup for carbon target. The fluctuations within ±2.5% for the peak current and total charge and ±6% for pulse duration were demonstrated with the present setup of the laser ion source, the suppression of which is still possible.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To explore the effect of edaravone (ED) on apoptosis of hippocampus neurons in seizures rats induced by pentylenetetrazole (PTZ). MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty-eight adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control (NC) group, PTZ group, and ED group. A dose of PTZ [35 mg/(kg·day)] was intraperitoneally (i.p.) injected into the rats of PTZ group and ED group until the kindling criterion was reached. After kindling, the rats of ED group were administered i.p. with ED [0.8 mg/(kg·day)]; the rats of PTZ group were administered i.p. with normal saline. After 30 min, seizures were induced by administering PTZ i.p. The influence of ED on Fas, Caspase-3, and Survivin protein immunoreactivity on hippocampus neurons was studied by immunohistochemistry method. RESULTS Fas and Caspase-3 positive cells and optical density in hippocampus in PTZ group were more than that of ED group and NC group (all p < 0.01), but Survivin-positive cells and optical density in hippocampus in PTZ group were less than that of ED group (p < 0.01) and were more than that of NC group (p < 0.05); Fas- and Caspase-3-positive cells and optical density in hippocampus in ED group were more than that of NC group (all p < 0.05), but Survivin-positive cells and optical density in hippocampus in ED group were more than that of NC group (p < 0.01). CONCLUSIONS Seizure can induce apoptosis of hippocampus neurons on seizures rats, but ED can resist the apoptosis of hippocampus neurons by increased expression of Survivin and decreased expression of Fas and Caspase-3.

Abstract
Serious arrhythmias, sometimes related to the injection of iodinated contrast media, are known complications of cardiac angiography. A new, iodine-based, non-ionic, iso-osmolar x-ray contrast media is in development for use in these procedures. This contrast medium, iosimenol, has a lower viscosity, higher electrolyte content, and higher iodine concentration than other available iso-osmolar contrast media. The present study is a retrospective re-read and centralized analysis of the electrocardiographic response to intravenous and non-cardiac intraarterial injections of iosimenol, placebo, or iodixanol (Visipaque; GE Healthcare, Inc) in a total of 167 healthy subjects and patients enrolled in early clinical trials. No clinically relevant changes in heart rate and rhythm, morphology, atrioventricular conduction, or ventricular repolarization were noted after injection of any of the test articles in these studies. These results, despite the limited number of patients in these trials, suggest that iosimenol can be used safely in larger populations.

Abstract
Our purpose was to examine the relationship between spectator social motivations and sport consumption behavior in the context of Formula One (F-1) motor-racing events. Respondents were spectators who attended 3 F-1 races held in Shanghai, China. Through a structural equation modeling
analysis, we found that achievement seeking and salubrious effects were motivating factors related to repurchase intentions. Achievement seeking, entertainment, and catharsis were also motivating factors associated with word-of-mouth intentions concerning F-1 events.

Abstract
Strain engineering and the crystalline quality of semiconductor nanostructures are important issues for electronic and optoelectronic devices. We report on defect-free SiGe island arrays resulting from Ge coverages of up to 38 monolayers grown on prepatterned Si(001) substrates. This represents a significant expansion of the parameter space known for the growth of perfect island arrays. A cyclic development of the Ge content and island shape was observed while increasing the Ge coverage. Synchrotron-based x-ray diffraction experiments and finite element method calculations allow us to study the strain behavior of such islands in great detail. In contrast to the oscillatory changes of island shape and average Ge content, the overall strain behavior of these islands exhibits a clear monotonic trend of progressive strain relaxation with increasing Ge coverage.

Abstract
In this paper, the spontaneous Raman spectra and second harmonic generation (SHG) properties at 589 nm of a novel Raman crystal BaTeMo(2)O(9) (BTM) were investigated. The BTM crystal was cut along the type-II SHG phase-matching direction for the first-order Raman shift at 1178 nm to realize the SRS and SHG simultaneously. Pumped by a nanosecond 1064 nm laser source, a self-frequency-doubled BTM Raman laser operating at 589 nm has been demonstrated for the first time. At the pump pulse energy of 48 mJ, the maximum yellow laser output pulse energy of 5.6 mJ was obtained with an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 11.7%. Our results show that BTM crystal is one of the promising candidate Raman materials to generate yellow laser radiation.

Abstract
We present investigations on the strain properties of silicon capping layers on top of regular SiGe island arrays, in dependence on the Si-layer thickness. Such island arrays are used as stressors for the active channel in field-effect transistors where the desired tensile strain in the Si channel is a crucial parameter for the performance of the device. The thickness of the Si cap was varied from 0 to 30 nm. The results of high resolution x-ray diffraction experiments served as input to perform detailed strain calculations via finite element method models. Thus, detailed information on the Ge distribution within the buried islands and the strain interaction between the SiGe island and Si cap was obtained. It was found that the tensile strain within the Si capping layer strongly depends on its thickness, even if the Ge concentration of the buried dot remains unchanged, with tensile strains degrading if thicker Si layers are used.

Abstract
We show that on suitably pit-patterned Si(001), deposition of just a few atomic layers of Ge can trigger a far larger flow of Si into the pits. This surprising effect results in anomalous smoothing of the substrate preceding island formation in the pits. We show that the effect naturally arises in continuum simulations of growth, and we identify its physical origin in the composition dependence of the surface diffusivity. Our interpretation suggests that anomalous smoothing is likely to also occur in other technologically relevant heteroepitaxial systems.
