In the title compound, C₂₁H₁₉F₂NO₂, the cyclo­hexa-1,3-diene ring is in a distorted envelope conformation. The dihedral angles between the mean planes of the diene moiety and the two fluoro­phenyl rings are 42.8 (2) and 75.0 (5)°. The two fluoro­phenyl rings are inclined to one another by 87.0 (3)°. In the crystal, intra­molecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak N—H⋯O and N—H⋯F inter­molecular inter­actions are observed forming an infinite two-dimensional network along [011].

(6Z)-3,5-Bis(4-fluoro-phen-yl)-6-(1-hy-droxy-ethyl-idene)cyclo-hex-2-en-1-one

In the title compound, C₂₀H₁₆F₂O₂, the cyclo­hex-2-en-1-one ring adopts a distorted envelope conformation and the dihedral angles between its six-atom mean plane and the fluorophenyl rings are 38.9(8) and 82.3(1)°. The two fluoro­phenyl rings are oriented at an angle of 77.3 (3)°. The long hy­droxy O—H bond length of 1.22 (3) and the H⋯O distance of 1.28 (3) Å, together with a longer than expected C=O bond length [1.290 (2) Å] in the hy­droxy(en-1-one) group, indicate sharing of the H atom as O⋯H⋯O between the two O atoms and the influence of electron delocalization. Weak C—H⋯O inter­molecular inter­actions form an infinite two-dimensional network in (011).

Methyl N-({[2-(2-meth-oxy-acetamido)-4-(phenyl-sulfan-yl)phen-yl]amino}[(meth-oxy-carbonyl)imino]methyl)carbamate

In the title compound, C₂₀H₂₂N₄O₆S, the phenyl and benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 58.75 (5)°. Intra­molecular N—H⋯O and N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds generate two S(6) and one S(7) ring motif, respectively. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked via N—H⋯O, N—H⋯N, C—H⋯S and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional networks parallel to the bc plane.

(E)-3-(4-Chloro-phen-yl)-1-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one

In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₀ClFO, the fluoro-substituted benzene ring forms a dihedral angle of 44.41 (6)° with the chloro-substituted benzene ring. The only significant directional bonds in the crystal are weak C—H⋯π inter­actions.

1-[5-(4-Chloro-phen-yl)-3-(4-hy-droxy-phen-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]-ethanone

In the title compound, C(17)H(15)ClN(2)O(2), the benzene rings form dihedral angles of 89.56 (5) and 5.87 (5)° with the mean plane of the pyrazoline ring (r.m.s. deviation = 0.084 Å). The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 87.57 (5)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a helical chain along the c axis. Between the chains weak C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O inter-actions are present. The crystal studied was an inversion twin with a domain ratio of 0.72 (4):0.28 (4).

(2E)-1-(3,4-Dichloro-phen-yl)-3-(2-hy-droxy-phen-yl)prop-2-en-1-one

In the title compound, C(15)H(10)Cl(2)O(2), the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the two benzene rings is 7.7 (6)°. The crystal packing is influenced by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which form chains along [010]. Weak π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6697 (13) Å] are observed, which may contribute to the crystal packing stability.

1,3-Bis(biphenyl-4-yl)-2,2-dibromo-3-oxopropyl acetate

In the title compound, C(29)H(22)Br(2)O(3), the dihedral angles between the mean planes of the benzene rings within each biphenyl group are 26.7 (8) and 30.9 (8)°. The mean planes of the terminal and inner benzene rings of the biphenyl groups bonded through a propan-1-one group in the V-shaped mol-ecule are oriented at angles of 66.1 (7) and 60.0 (8)°, respectively. The two Br atoms are opposite the propen-1-one group. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

N-(4-Bromo-phen-yl)-2-(4-chloro-phen-yl)acetamide

The title compound, C₁₄H₁₁BrClNO, consists of chloro­benzene and bromo­benzene units which are linked at either end of the N-methyl­propionamide group. The chloro­benzene unit [maximum deviation = 0.005 (4) Å] makes a dihedral angle of 68.21 (19)° with the bromo­benzene unit [maximum deviation = 0.012 (3) Å]. In the crystal, N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules into chains along [010].

N-(4,6-Dimeth-oxy-pyrimidin-2-yl)-2-(3-methyl-phen-yl)acetamide

In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₇N₃O₃, the dihedral angle between the pyrimidine and benzene rings is 87.0 (7)°. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked into inversion dimers with R₂²(8) graph-set motifs by a pair of N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and inter­molecular π–π inter­actions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.544 (1) Å] are also observed.

1,2-Bis(3-phenoxybenzylidene)hydrazine

Mol­ecules of the title compound, C₂₆H₂₀N₂O₂, reside on crystallographic centres of inversion located at the mid-point of the N—N bond. The benzyl­idene ring is essentially coplanar with the central hydrazine group, with an inter­planar angle of 4.5 (2)°, whereas the phenyl ring is oriented at 34.0 (3)° with respect to the mean plane of the central 1,2-dibenzyl­idenehydrazine group. In the crystal, C—H⋯π(arene)-ring inter­actions link mol­ecules about inversion centres.

In the title compound, C₁₁H₁₃N₃O, the phenyl ring is disordered over two sites, with occupancy factors in a 0.520 (17):0.480 (17) ratio. Ethyl 4,4''-difluoro-5'-meth-oxy-1,1':3',1''-terphenyl-4'-carboxyl-ate

In the title compound, C(22)H(18)F(2)O(3), the two fluoro-substituted rings form dihedral angles of 25.89 (15) and 55.00 (12)° with the central benzene ring. The eth-oxy group in the mol-ecule is disordered over two positions with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.662 (7):0.338 (7). In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along the a axis. In the title compound, C(17)H(13)NO(3), the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 31.21 (5)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. A C-H⋯π inter-action is also indicated.

1-(4,4''-Difluoro-5'-meth-oxy-1,1':3',1''-terphenyl-4'-yl)ethanone

In the title compound, C₂₁H₁₆F₂O₂, the central benzene ring is inclined at dihedral angles of 30.91 (8) and 46.88 (7)° to the two terminal fluoro-substituted rings. The dihedral angle between the two terminal fluoro-subsituted rings is 68.34 (8)°. An intra­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C—H⋯π inter­actions.

6-Fluoro-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazole

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₁₆H₁₁FN₂OS, comprises two independent mol­ecules in which the benzothia­zole rings are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.038 (2) and 0.045 (3) Å. The central benzothia­zole ring makes dihedral angles of 4.87 (13) and 0.64 (12)° and 4.04 (12) and 3.67 (12)° with the two terminal phenyl rings in the two independent mol­ecules. In the crystal, mol­ecules are connected via weak inter­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming supra­molecular chains along the c axis.

4-Chloro-anilinium 4-methyl-benzene-sulfonate

In the crystal structure of the title salt, C(6)H(7)ClN(+)·C(7)H(7)O(3)S(-), the cations and anions are linked via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into double chains in [101]. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π-ring inter-actions link these chains into layers parallel to the ac plane.

In the title compound, C(33)H(24)F(2)O(3), the central benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 44.71 (10), 47.80 (10) and 63.68 (9)° with the two fluoro-substituted benzene rings and the naphthalene ring system, respectively. 5-(4,4''-Difluoro-5'-hy-droxy-1,1':3',1''-terphenyl-4'-yl)-3-(morpholin-4-ylmeth-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2(3H)-thione

In the title compound, C₂₅H₂₁F₂N₃O₃S, the morpholine ring adopts a chair conformation. The 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2(3H)-thione group makes dihedral angles of 78.69 (8), 53.56 (7) and 55.30 (9)° with the benzene rings. The naphthalene ring system forms a dihedral angle of 64.88 (19)° with the benzene ring.
