A general method for the synthesis of α-substituted vinyl sulfones makes use of a combination of a triazole gold complex and gallium triflate. This efficient CS bond formation between simple terminal alkynes and sulfinic acids provides access to various α-substituted vinyl sulfones.

Abstract
An intramolecular [1,4]-S- to O-silyl migration has been used to form silyl enol ethers with Z-configurational control. The silyl migration also creates a new anion center at sulfur, which can subsequently react with electrophiles to generate Z-silyl enol ethers with diverse thioether linkages. The synthetic utility of this pathway was demonstrated by modifying the Z-silyl enol ethers with aldehydes via a Mukaiyama aldol reaction or Prins cyclization to generate functionalized organosulfur compounds.

Abstract
The Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryl halides, alkyl halides, and Na2S2O3·5H2O to deliver aromatic thioethers is described. Pyridine, furan, thiophene, benzofuran, benzoxazole, benzothiophene, benzothiazole, and pyrazine are all amenable to this protocol. The odorless and stable solid Na2S2O3·5H2O was used as a convenient and environmentally friendly source of sulfur. Pd-catalyzed cross-couplings without thiols or thiophenols to build C-S bonds have not previously been achieved, which renders our observation more striking.

Abstract
A new method for the preparation of alkyl aryl sulfides through direct oxidative thiolation of alkanes or ethers with arylsulfonyl hydrazides using DTBP as an oxidant catalyzed by Pd(OAc)2 has been reported. The C–H bonds in various alkanes or ethers were successfully converted into C–S bonds with moderate to good yields.
