Abstract
Thiouracil catalyzes stereoselective glycosylations with galactals in loadings as low as 0.1 mol%. It is proposed that in these glycosylations thiouracil, monothiophthalimide, and the previously reported catalyst, Schreiner's thiourea, do not operate via a double H-bonding mechanism but rather by Brønsted acid/base catalysis. In addition to the synthesis of 2-deoxyglycosides and glycoconjugates, we report the first organocatalytic synthesis of 1,1'-linked trehalose-type sugars.

A Lewis acid catalyzed insertion of unsymmetrical alkynes into electron-deficient alkenes has been reported for the first time, leading to 34 examples of hitherto unreported pentacyclic benzo[5,6]chromeno[2,3-b]indoles.

Abstract
An organocatalytic enantioselective method for the synthesis of multiple stereoisomers bearing E, Z configurations, stereogenic carbon centers, and axially chiral styrenes is reported. The method enabled the rapid construction of a series of stereochemical complexity products with excellent E, Z selectivity, diastereoselectivity (>20:1 dr), and enantioselectivity (up to 96% ee). This method provides an efficient and concise synthesis route of multiple stereoisomers with a wide range of potential applications in organic synthesis.

Abstract
An unprecedented cascade dearomative cyclization through hydrogen-bonding-assisted hydride transfer is realized. The aggregate effect of HFIP enables the rapid buildup of polycyclic amines directly from phenols and o-aminobenzaldehydes via a cascade dearomatization/rearomatization/dearomatization sequence. This unique transformation addressed the drawbacks of hydride transfer-involved redox-neutral reactions.

Abstract
The organocatalytic dearomative [4 + 2] cycloadditions of biomass-derived 2,5-dimethylfuran with ortho-quinone methides were developed, affording two diffferent types of multisubstituted chromanes in high yields and excellent diastereoselectivities. The controllable synthesis of these two types of multisubstituted chromanes could be achieved by succinctly varying the reaction conditions.

Abstract
A simultaneous asymmetric Mannich reaction and the construction of axially chiral sulfone-containing styrenes in one pot from α-amido sulfones based on the waste-reuse strategy was demonstrated. A series of chiral β-amino diesters and axially chiral sulfone-containing styrenes with various functional groups were synthesized in good to excellent yields and enantioselectivities under mild conditions. In addition, this protocol has been successfully applied to synthesize the anti-HIV drug Maraviroc and chiral trichloro derivatives.
